GORGUTS To Perform 'Obscura' + 'Considered Dead' Set for Decibel Metal & Beer Fest: Philly

Death metal legends GORGUTS will perform for the first time in nearly six years at Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly on April 14, 2023 at the Fillmore. To celebrate the end of this extended break, the band will perform a special set exclusively of material from 1998’s landmark 'Obscura' album and 1991’s old-school classic 'Considered Dead.'

Few extreme bands can boast the pedigree of GORGUTS. During their early days as part of death metal’s first wave, they created a legacy of legendary releases including their debut album ‘Considered Dead’ (1991) and its more experimental and technical follow-up ‘Erosion of Sanity’ (1993). After a hiatus of five years, Luc Lemay returned with a new line-up, which released the highly acclaimed and seminal third full-length ‘Obscura’ (1998). By then GORGUTS had been busy at expanding and redefining the language of death metal. With a new line-up that left Lemay as the sole original member, the next milestone album was released under the title ‘From Wisdom to Hate’ (2001).

Yet again the band went into hibernation, while their musical legacy continued to inspire and thrive as their native Quebec became a focus for technical death metal with acts such as CRYPTOPSY, NEURAXIS, and BEYOND CREATION to name but a few following in their footsteps. After more than a decade of silence, mastermind Luc Lemay unleashed ‘Colored Sands’ (2013) with an all-star line-up including Colin Marston (BEHOLD THE ARCTOPUS), Kevin Hufnagel (DYSRHYTHMIA), and John Longstreath (ORIGIN, SKINLESS), who has in the meantime been replaced by Patrice Hamelin (QUO VADIS, BENEATH THE MASSACRE).

In 2016, GORGUTS then released their 'Pleiades Dust' EP. In an age of a postulated clash of cultures, mastermind Luc Lemay delivered a piece of music that was conceptually and lyrically based on the “House of Wisdom,” a medieval library based in Baghdad and at the heart of the Golden Age of Islam with its many scientific breakthroughs in various fields of learning. “It is a story about curiosity, beautiful minds and sadly, about how man destroys great discoveries and achievements,” explained Lemay. Musically there is more narrative feeling as each section is introduced in such a way that every riff has the space to evolve like a character in a story.

After a successful year of touring in 2017, GORGUTS once again receded into the shadows and went dark. That is until now, as the band readies to celebrate its storied career with a historical set as they make their return to the stage!

DJERV Return With Powerful New Single "Enemy"

Norwegian rockers DJERV have returned with a powerful new track titled "Enemy". The band's latest offering delivers a dark and heavy sound that fans will recognize from the band's earlier music, while also bringing an important message, as best explained by vocalist Agnete Kjølsrud, "'Enemy' is about facing your own demons. About learning and accepting who you are, and eventually embracing it.”

Musically, Djerv once again embrace their heavier side and return to their roots. Drummer Erlend Gjerde states, “It was a lot of fun to explore our more rock-ish side on Throne and WDHNM, but it feels great returning to the dark side. 'Enemy' is a straight-up metal song with a '90s twist on top. Takes me back. It was so much fun writing and recording it”

Djerv rose to fame in 2010, after their self-titled debut album hit the charts in Norway. After multiple tours, the band went under the radar, and it wasn't until 2019 that the band returned to the live scene.

ABOUT DJERV:

Djerv entered the international rock and metal scene in 2011, and their self-titled debut album still impresses in 2022. Engineered by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames) and mixed by Matt Hyde (Deftones, No Doubt) the album received critical acclaim with 9/10 in Sweden Rock Magazine, and Rock Tribune.

The metal bible Metal Hammer UK gave it a solid 8/10 and said:

After only two days on sale, the debut album crashed into the official Norwegian sales charts at an impressive #8. They were also the highest newcomer and #3 on Norwegian Artist Charts.

The band members in Djerv spawned out of Trelldom, Animal Alpha, and Stonegard, and they pulled strings from their previous bands, but still added something new. The sound is different, and can be described as dangerously catchy aggressive rock wrapped in a black metal veil.

During the next years, the band toured heavily, with Ministry amongst others, and established themselves in the European rock and metal scene. Djerv performed at festivals like Hellfest (FR), Wacken (DE), Eurosonic (NL), Tons of Rock (NO) Rock Hartz (DE) and Inferno (NO) to name a few.

Combined with heavy touring and music releases Djerv also work with some memorable collaborations. In 2010, vocalist Agnete Kjølsrud did vocals on Dimmu Borgir's "Gateways", a track that in 2022 has over 12 million streams. In 2013 Djerv released the track "Get Jinxed" together with League of Legends / Riot games, and in 2022 this track has over 200 million streams across platforms.

The band went under the radar for some years after this, and in 2019 they had their long-awaited comeback at the Tons of Rock festival in Norway. In 2020, they released new music after nine long years, and in 2021/22 they toured with Vreid and played at festivals like Inferno Metal Meeting (NO) and Summer Breeze Open Air (DE) to mention some. 

Now they are ready with new music, and on December 8th the first single of an upcoming album will be unleashed.

Solo black metal project BIZARREKULT is now sharing a brand new single, "Midt I Stormen," along with a thought-provoking music video! The track is taken from the project's upcoming sophomore full-length, 'Den Tapte Krigen,' which will be released via Season of Mist on January 27, 2023, making it BIZARREKULT's debut to the label! Since the genre’s inception, black metal has been ruled by lone wolves. Individuals who blur the lines between “masterminds” and “madmen,” creating in solitude and willful confinement. From first and second wave purveyors such as BATHORY and BURZUM to this century’s revivalists like SAOR and PANOPTICON, these anomic souls have made incomparable contributions to the dark arts. And in 2022, BIZARREKULT paves a new yet familiar path, establishing itself as one of the cult visionaries of this decade.

Before finding his way to music, multi-instrumentalist Roman V was first a poet. Since childhood, Roman found an outlet in writing and by 2006, he created BIZARREKULT as an auditory accompaniment to his verbal expressions. “BIZARREKULT since the beginning was a quest of identity and philosophical search for answers on the questions that bother the mind at night and day,” explains Roman.

Despite the project’s inception 16 years ago, BIZARREKULT’s music did not make its debut until the release of ‘Vi Overlevde’ in 2021. As he started feeling challenged by the declining state of the world, Roman pursued a new path and decided to go straight to the environment that incubated and birthed the genre that he loves. As he relocated from Siberia to his current home of Norway, his new surroundings had its intended purpose and greatly impacted his musical journey. “After some initial recordings the project was set aside in order to deal with increasing mass challenges from the surrounding world. And then it ended up getting a spark a decade later in a different environment, nature, language and culture. So distant, but so close. Norway has become my second home and the last few years that led to revitalization of BIZARREKULT were spent on reflecting on myself, meaning, purpose and reuniting with the things that were important – art and creativity.”

Meaning “We Survived,” ‘Vi Overlevde’ was a very intimate, vulnerable, and personal offering. Roman describes the record as “a testament to survival through personal crisis” and notes that it is “filled with reflections on childhood, family and societal relations.” The musician took care to ensure that the record delivered a comprehensive package, aligning the music, artwork, and lyrics with exact precision.

As the world was collectively reckoning with the turmoil of year two of a global pandemic, the album’s message gave many hope. Fans started to emerge, reacting to the record with their own artistic interpretations as a way to pay tribute. The album also won the hearts of the media, appearing on a handful of “album of the year” lists, including scoring a third place position from Sweden’s biggest newspaper, Aftonbladet.

Now, BIZARREKULT is ready to enter a new chapter, forging a new union with Season of Mist and completing the work on its sophomore full-length, ‘Den Tapte Krigen.’ Meaning “The Lost War,” ‘Den Tapte Krigen’ thematically picks up the thread from where ‘Vi Overlevde" left off, but sees a musical evolution as BIZARREKULT continues to find and establish its identity. “The main message of ‘Den Tapte Krigen’ is about a constant war inside our lives, war with ourselves, our closest ones, our societies,” says Roman. “It’s a war in which we can lose everything, including our personality, faith, honour and dignity. However, similar to ‘Vi Overlevde’ that ends on a rather positive note, ‘Den Tapte Krigen’ contains a message of hope and reconnection, of necessity to make a peace with yourself, accept what you are, your identity, and share forgiveness and love. This is the only way out of the vicious circle.”

Napalm Records proudly announces the signing of Finnish melodic death metal band BEFORE THE DAWN! Formed in 1999, chart-cracking BEFORE THE DAWN reigned as one of the most successful Finnish metal bands of the early 2000’s, and since their burial in 2013, hundreds of thousands of new fans have discovered their music on streaming platforms, entirely without promotion or labels involved. Did the music find the people, or the people find the music - one can’t be sure, but after being inactive for almost a decade, BEFORE THE DAWN now returns stronger than ever!

BEFORE THE DAWN are currently back in the studio and ready to take to stages with a brand new lineup. The band originated as Finnish Metal Award winning Tuomas Saukkonen’s (Wolfheart) solo project, but throughout the years, there have been several lineup changes. With the new exciting lineup, the band introduces its biggest changes so far. Previous guitarist and vocalist Saukkonen has moved behind the drums, and talented Voice Of Finland 2022 finalist Paavo Laapotti has taken on all vocalist duties. The Finns have fully transformed into their new power and are ready to reconquer the scene!

The Hollywood Allstars features vocalist Tommy Bowes, who for seven years sang with the incredible Tower of Power. Music journalists have consistently praised Bowes’ high range, powerful voice, and unique versatility, after hearing his performances on TOP’s debut album on Epic Records, Monster on a Leash.

The show includes a rare appearance by the Uptown Horns as the horn section, returning to the city where it all began for them. Playing with the Rolling Stones on the Steel Wheels tour, Keith Richards personally praised them as being the “only horn section up for the job,” before they went on to work with Joe Cocker, the J. Geils Band, and providing the horns on James Brown’s Grammy Award Winning Single, “Living in America.”

Scott Spray, Grammy recording bassist from Johnny Winter and the Edgar Winter Group, has recorded on over 800 albums and will be providing ample bottom for the evening. Scott’s tours with Edgar Winter, and spending 15 years on the road with Edgar’s brother Johnny, give Scott a unique perspective into the Blues / R&B influenced songs on Field of Grace.

A native New Yorker, Tony Cintron will be laying down the groove on drums. A tour with Joe Bonamassa placed Cintron on stages with the Derrick Trucks Band, the Doobie Brothers, Dr. John, and the legendary vocalist Roberta Flack at Carnegie Hall.

Making a return appearance to the Hollywood Allstar stage will be guitarist Andy Abel, who in addition to having played with Blood Sweat & Tears, and the Talking Heads, served as co-producer with Steve Gaspár for the Hollywood Allstars new release on Deko Entertainment, Field of Grace, as well as its chief recording, mixing, and mastering engineer.

Another native New Yorker, Eddie Torres, percussionist, best known for “Turn the Beat Around” with singer Vicki Sue Robinson, will be demonstrating his ability to get the fans up and dancing in the aisles.

Their shows feature songs from their just released EP on Deko Entertainment, Field of Grace. Also included are songs by many of the artists that this amazing collection of musicians have shared the stage and recording studios with. They’ve managed to put together a 90-minute set of music, which feels instantly familiar and fun, allowing you to see, hear, and feel a time capsule of sorts, from the beginning of their careers to the present.

ELUVEITIE Release Lyric Video For "Exile Of The Gods"

As the wheel of the year turns towards the hostile days of yuletide and the wild hunt picks up the scent of mortals, Swiss metal legends ELUVEITIE once again pour their despair regarding the abandonment of the world through their Gods into fantastic visuals. Today, the band featuring Chrigel Glanzmann and Fabienne Erni release a lyric video for 'Exile Of The Gods'.

Founding member Chrigel Glanzmann commented earlier on the single:

"We are very excited to share our new single 'Exile Of The Gods’ with you - after 'Aidus' the 'second page' in Eluveitie's next chapter. Our current path leads us way back in time. And back to the present! Our new song cycle is all based on a very old mythic text - the hermetic lament. Although it didn’t originate from Celtic culture, we know today that its words were taken on, assimilated, and taught by the Celtic druids henceforth. In the interpretatio celtae its teachings were ascribed to the tricephalic Celtic god Lugus.

This ancient text contains some kind of a prophecy which holds some very serious and important words for us modern people of today - even if we assume that it's not talking about our era (which personally I believe it does, though).

Among many other things that the lament of Lugus foretells: '...of thy faith nothing will remain but an empty tale, which thine own children in time to come will not believe; nothing will be left but graven words, and only the stones will tell of thy piety. For the gods - which once deigned to sojourn upon earth - will return from earth to Antumnos. The gods will depart from mankind, a grievous thing! The world will be left desolate, bereft of the presence of its deities.'

And this is, what our new single is dealing with!

However, that ancient text spells out clearly that we're not simply talking about some mythological, religious or spiritual matters here. For it also talks very clearly about the development of mankind’s relationship with mother earth in that context and points out very concrete actions of ours (today) and their consequences in and for nature, and thus ultimately for us.

And so, we are excited to share our brand-new song with you all! And we hope you like it as much as we do and that maybe you even can find some inspiration in it! Enjoy!"

SYGNAL TO NOISE TO TOUR IN 2023 AS PART OF COLD’S “YEAR OF THE SPIDER: 20 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR”

New England melodic hard rockers Sygnal To Noise will be hitting the road with Cold, as part of their “Year of the Spider: 20 Year Anniversary Tour” (as part of a bill that also includes performances by Divide the all, Awake for Days, and Death Valley Dreams). The dates will run from March 17-May 29 throughout the US. The band just issued their latest album, ‘Human Condition,’ last June via Dark Star Records, while the single “Let Me In” hit the top 100 Billboard Radio charts, and its video can be viewed here:

“To say we are excited for this tour is an understatement!,” says the band. “Being fans of COLD for many years. This is a huge honor for us! Our goal is to help make this tour fun for everyone that buys a ticket and attends.”

“Cold is a great band!,” adds singer Coopa. “I am personally honored to be a part of this tour. I think what STN will bring to the table is a ride of emotions. Art rock collective The Pull of Autumn present their fourth album 'Beautiful Broken World', an ambitious 15-track undertaking that began in early 2020.

This record involves a number of iconic artists, including Philip Parfitt of The Perfect Disaster, Stuart Moxham of Rough Trade postpunk band Young Marble Giants, Luke Skyscraper James of I.R.S. recording artist FASHION and John Neff, who has contributed to multiple David Lynch films and is also a member of David Lynch’s Blubob.

Earlier, the band released 'Outlaw Empire' featuring The Pop Group legend Mark Stewart and bassist Doug Wimbish (Living Colour, Tackhead, The Rolling Stones, Sugarhill Gang), which was remixed by legendary producer Adrian Sherwood. That was followed by 'Live Today' with Tokyo dreamgazers Once Grace Forever and its kaleidoscopic video, created by Rosie Varela (of shoegaze band EEP)

The Pull of Autumn is a ‘super group’ of sorts, with songs orbiting around Rhode Island artist Daniel Darrow of Johanna’s House of Glamour and involving numerous emerging and notable musicians from the local music scene and further abroad. The band's debut 2018 eponymous album was followed by 'Afterglow' in 2019 and 'Small Colors' in 2020.

"For this new Pull of Autumn album, I wanted to place greater emphasis on the production of the music as to develop a signature sound that is heard throughout the entire recording. Also lyrically, the tunes speak to the changing and sometimes chaotic times we’ve all been through. I’ve grown more confident in the process of using purely acoustic elements with electronic sound design to create a new interesting sound," says Daniel Darrow.

"Once again, it was a lot of fun having musicians from many different backgrounds come together to create a group of songs that ultimately make the entire album come together as one united voice. It’s been a lot of fun working with artists from all over the world and experiencing their completely different methods of creating art, even if it reaches a few ears. I find much joy in that!".

As of December 9, 'Beautiful Broken World' will be available across online stores and streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify, as well as Bandcamp, where it can be obtained directly from the artist.

“I've always wanted to have a video for AHAB like 'Colossus of the liquid graves'. Actually we developed the ideas for a storyboard ourselves during a flight to a show in Athens - which was a great experience. It was so inspiring to see our ideas animated literally little by little. Needless to say, the team of puppet builders, stop motion animators and camera operators did an awesome job on getting it all done the way we had it in our minds. The story itself is quite gloomy and the video breathes life into our cover artwork. We’re all very excited and thankful for this fine little moving picture."

Portuguese death doom duo OAK will be releasing its sophomore effort, 'Disintegrate,' via Season of Mist on February 10, 2023, making it the band's debut to the label! The album artwork, tracklisting, and info can be found below!

In conjunction with the forthcoming full-length, OAK is now sharing the first part of the 45-minute long offering, "Disintegrate I," along with a performance music video! The clip, which was directed by Guilherme Henriques, can be seen below.

OAK comments: "Before managing to free himself from the unbearable weight carried on his back for an eternity, this giant knelt down and surrendered his own body to be consumed by the sun.

"Afterwards, there was only the cold that accompanied him on his passage to the immaterial world. This excerpt is about that passage and also aims at a transition from sound to image, so that this moment becomes as visual as it is audible."

With the birth of their first full-length album ‘Lone’ in 2019, atmospheric death doom duo OAK emerged from Portugal with a slow and steady force, like roots breaking concrete. After four years of slumber, the band has awakened like the old gods, ready to release utter suffering and devastation onto the masses with its sophomore effort, ‘Disintegrate.’ For nearly 45 unforgiving minutes, this mournful maelstrom drags the listener asunder, while tormented growls and agonizing riffs echo deep despair within the atmospheric abyss. 

OAK’s path was forged by two kindred musicians; the mysterious pair recognized that they were an unstoppable force together when it came to creating painful, emotionally driven music. “We always wanted it to be a duo because of how fluid our jams have always been and this freedom we get when writing for OAK is really one thing that drives us,” explains the band.

The writing process took place under the cover of darkness, setting an intimate mood for the record’s creation. The pair worked with a totally clean slate, writing everything organically in their sessions together rather than coming with prepared compositions or ideas. As project took shape and began to come into its own identity, it yielded OAK’s agonizing and ferocious sound.  “We can have clean guitars, clean vocals, distortion, deep grunts, whispers, slow beats, blast beats, ghost notes and all this glues together nicely,” says OAK of the project’s many textures and layers.

Thematically, ‘Disintegrate’ tells the epic tale of a Titanic Giant who seeks to be unburdened from carrying the weight of the world, demonstrating that even the strongest have a threshold for just how much pain and heaviness they can endure.

However, the story doesn’t end here as this is only the first chapter of the Giant’s tale. “We are continuing our jam sessions and writing more and more. We will grow further with each release in the attempt of making our sound almost visible/cinematic. We need to tell the story of this giant's burden and liberation through our music and lyrics. We feel like there is much more to be told.“

Celebrated guitar virtuoso Steve Vai, and legendary drummer Mike Portnoy, will Induct the classic lineup of Rock Icons Twisted Sister into the 2023 Metal Hall of Fame, at the 6th Annual Metal Hall of Fame Charity Gala.

"The most important night in Hard Rock and Heavy Metal," takes place January 26, 2023, at the Canyon Club, Agoura Hills, C.A. It is presented by ROCAVAKA - The Vaka That Rocks!

Both Mike Portnoy and Steve Vai will share their stories of how Twisted Sister influenced them in their early days on the music scene.

The Los Angeles based rock trio, Fencer, have today announced a Christmas benefit livestream for nonprofit, Life Rolls On, on Friday, December 16th at 4PM PT / 7PM ET. All profits will be donated to Life Rolls On, a non-profit foundation that advocates for improving the quality of life for people living with various disabilities through adaptive surfing and skating. Fans will also be able to donate throughout the stream for the Life Rolls On cause. Tickets for the benefit livestream on December 16th at 4PM PT / 7PM ET can be purchased here.

CLOAK Announces U.S. Tour, Offers New Album Update

Atlanta black metal outfit CLOAK will be embarking on an early 2023 tour throughout the East Coast in support of IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT! The trek will kick off on January 31 in Clifton, NJ and will conclude on February 10 in Chesapeake, VA. The full routing can be found below!

NYC-based indie-pop / folk artist Jessie Kilguss presents a gentle and sanguine acoustic rendition of 'Wuthering Heights', first made famous by Kate Bush. Engineered, produced, mixed and mastered by Charlie Nieland (Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Blondie, Scissor Sisters) at Saturation Point Studiosin Brooklyn, this stripped down features only guitar, vocals, harmonium and glockenspiel.

With Kilguss handling vocals and harmonium, she is accompanied by Charlie Nieland on glockenspiel with guitar by Andrea Longato, who has played with some of today's finest artists, including Jeremy Jordan, Alphonso Ribeiro, Duncan Sheik, Tony Vincent (The Voice) and Justin Guarini (American Idol).

"I’ve been covering this song live for a couple of years. I’m a big fan of Kate Bush. I read 'Wuthering Heights' by Emily Brontë when I was a teenager and loved it. I wonder if that would be the case as an adult. The song 'Wuthering Heights' really captures the spirit of the book in its melodrama and angst. I find it really fun to sing because of that," says Jessie Kilguss.

"One of the things I love about Kate Bush is that she deals in big emotions and is a master storyteller. I find this song so compelling. It’s extraordinary that she wrote it when she was a teenager."

This offering follows her recently-released 'What Do Whales Dream About at Night?' LP, a collection of eloquent indie folk, pop rock and Americana-tinged songs featuring drummer Brian Griffin (Patti Smith, Brandi Carlisle, Lana Del Rey), bassist Whynot Jansveld (The Wallflowers, Butch Walker, Sara Bareilles), award-winning composer-producer Naren Rauch on guitar, and Nathan Schram (Bjork, David Crosby, David Byrne), with whom Kilguss runs the non-profit organization Musicambia.

Mixed and mastered by Charlie Nieland, the album was co-produced by Adam Lasus (Yo La Tengo, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Helium), Kilguss and her band members with Lasus also engineering.

A former actress, whose acting highlights include 'The Crucible' (with Daniel Day Lewis and Winona Ryder) and the stage production 'As You Like It' (directed by Royal Shakespeare Company founder Sir Peter Hall), Kilguss made the switch to songwriting after working with two of her musical heroes - Marianne Faithfull and Mary Margaret O'Hara in the Tom Waits / William Burroughsmusical 'The Black Rider'.

In addition to writing and performing her own music, Kilguss also sings with Gramercy Arms, Jim Andralis and the Syntonics and Benjamin Cartel. She also performed at the Sundance Film Festival and with Freddie Stevenson, supporting The Waterboys for their European tour.

Some of the best music comes when accomplished musicians combine their talents in an effort to create something new and different. At Deko’s 2Trax Studio that is exactly what is happening. Starting December 2, 2022, a new song featuring a combination of Deko artists and special guests will be released under the title the 2Trax Sessions. Those sessions will continue with a new song released at six - eight week intervals. Each song will have a story or narrative, and the creative process will be shared with the audience through a variety of interviews, videos, and social media interactions. Get personal perspectives from each musician as they describe how they approached their contribution and how they feel about the collective result.

First up, a song named “Columbia” is a shout-out to a blue-collar street in New Jersey. For each artist involved, we find out it reminds them of their own small pieces of Americana. Columbia Avenue is a place many of us can relate to, and as the song says, it’s often too short a road. Featuring the combined talents of vocalist Joe Cerisano (Trans-Siberian Orchestra), backing vocalist Lisa Gee (independent artist), guitarist Frank Perrego (2Trax Sessions musician), keyboardist Charlie Calv (Angel), drummer Billy Orrico (Angel), bassist Eric Plotkin (2Trax Sessions musician), percussionist Julian Calv (professional busker), and songwriter/guitarist/keyboardist Bruce Pucciarello, “Columbia” is a great example of a simple song that grew exponentially by giving free rein to talented people’s creativity. Cerisano’s powerful lead vocal and Gee’s moody vocal support create a texture. Charlie Calv’s intricate production, the keyboards, the guitars, the percussion, Plotkin’s bass, and Orrico’s exceptional drum lines combine to launch the 2Trax Sessions with a first offering that sets a very high bar for what’s to come.

Former Trans-Siberian Orchestra vocalist Cerisano states, “I fell in love with the song “Columbia” the moment Bruce [Pucciarello] played it for me. It was the words that got to me first, then the music, all within about 30 seconds. Then instantly I found myself imagining how I would sing it. That was it. I was hooked! It all has to do with feeling and what moves you. It moves me.” Deko president and 2Trax Studio owner Bruce Pucciarello continues, “In general, the 2Trax Sessions are special to Deko, because it represents community, cooperation, and putting artists in a position to succeed.” To commemorate “Columbia”’s release, the guys enlisted Ace Bouchard and his video camera to take you on a trip down Columbia Avenue.

These talented Brazilians stormed on the scene in 2020 with the release of their electrifying (no pun intended) debut album 'Discharge', wowing listeners with their modern take on classic bluesy hard rock executed with heartfelt, soulful musicianship and absolutely monstrous vocals.

The follow-up sees the band’s songwriting and musicianship taking a HUGE leap forward. Truly, an all killer, no filler affair, "2 Make U Cry & Dance" is proof positive that high-quality rock 'n roll does not adhere to any geographical borders.

Formed in Curitiba, Brazil by Renan Zonta (vocals), Ben Hur Auwarter (guitar), Yuri Elero (bass), and André Leister (drums), Electric Mob caught the attention of Frontiers with their tremendous hard rock songs that show the influence of contemporary hard rock giants while also showing a knowledge of the hard rock pillars of the '70s and '80s.
