"The Art of Music" Partners with United MileagePlus® Cards from Chase to Present Sheryl Crow with Jason Isbell

Nine-time GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum selling singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow is the latest artist to be featured in the Public Television series "The Art of Music" presented by United MileagePlus® Cards from Chase and filmed live Wednesday, March 20 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The evening was moderated by GRAMMY-award winning artist Jason Isbell.

As part of this unique series, Isbell led a conversation with Crow about her musical journey, sharing insights into both their creative processes. The discussion intertwined some of Crow’s iconic songs which the duo performed together, delivering a singular musical experience.

“I got to play the oldest piano at the Met and it was humbling,” shared Crow, of her time in the museum’s galleries prior to the taping. “I come to a place like this and can’t help but be inspired looking at centuries of work from artists who captured and shared the stories of their time. It’s a privilege to be part of that tradition.”

Filmed for Public Television and set to air later this year, this latest installment of “The Art of Music” series focuses on the artists’ lives and their creative process as artists. Crow shared stories about her songs and significant moments in her career, enriching the narrative of this extraordinary series.

Throughout the evening of conversation, Crow performed fan favorite tracks accompanied by Isbell including “Everyday Is A Winding Road,” “Redemption Day,” “My Favorite Mistake,” “Strong Enough” and “If It Makes You Happy” as well as “Evolution” the title track of her just released 11th studio album, Evolution, available now.

The North Carolina native knows all too well there’s a rhythm to life and a cycle of ups and downs. And right now, he’s on the upswing.

Now 30 years old and a seasoned country music veteran selling out concerts across the globe with six No. 1 hits under his belt, McCreery is also a dedicated husband and father, welcoming a son named Avery in 2022, whose impact on the singer is highlighted in several songs on the album. JELLY ROLL DOMINATES BACK-TO-BACK CMT MUSIC AWARDS and LAINEY WILSON TAKES “FEMALE VIDEO OF THE YEAR” FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

The 2024 CMT Music Awards in Austin, TX proved to be an electrifying and monumental night for Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson and Jason Aldean. BBR Music Group/Stoney Creek Records' Jelly Roll would take home three wins, for the second consecutive year, earning him the accolade as the most-awarded artist of the night, including the top honor of "Video of the Year" for "Need a Favor." The self-proclaimed "Trailer Park Tornado" delivered a fiery performance of "Halfway to Hell" to close the program and also took home buckle awards for "Male Video of the Year" for "Need a Favor" and "CMT Performance of the Year" for "Need a Favor" (from the 2023 CMT Music Awards).

BBR Music Group/Broken Bow Records' Lainey Wilson would secure a win for "Female Video of the Year" for "Watermelon Moonshine." Four years... songs camps... good friends... crazy great musicians... new collaborators... writing songs to distill life, making music for all the reasons. Kenny Chesney didn’t see it coming, didn’t set out to make an album. Instead, he’s spent the time since the world shut down playing music with friends, scraping bits of life into lyrics and melodies, listening to songs he loved and recording when the moment struck with longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon. After all that, BORN is born.

“I can’t call it a process, because we never set out to make a record, just explore songs and moments for the sake of music,” Chesney offers. “All of sudden, time had passed and somehow we had all these songs that looked like different pieces of who I – and just about everyone in No Shoes Nation, too – am.

“It wasn’t a master plan. There was no theme we’re singing about that holds it together. “When you listen to ‘Born,’ there’s a whole lot of truth about living, life, the big questions and what we’re all trying to experience. That banjo out front really throws you into the song, which feels great. I love a lyric that throws out all the options, but it never actually tells you what to do. Here it comes down to one existential truth, no matter who you are or what you’re chasing: ‘one thing’s for certain, we’ve all been living since the day we were born.’”

After all these months, No Shoes Nation can finally unpack all the moods and moments that make BORN Chesney’s most far-reaching album to date. With three sets of tour prep and rehearsals in full groove, Kenny Chesney took some time out to return to MetLife Stadium, where he’s sold over 400,000 tickets since the stadium opened, for a heart-to-heart conversation with NBC’s Willie Geist. Tracing both his evolution as a stadium-sized pioneer and looking at all the pieces of his musical foundation that led to the vast BORN, the only country artist in Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years for the last 15 years took the opportunity to truly consider the road to being a billion-ticket-selling superstar and the songwriting roots that helped him speak to an audience who had long been ignored.

“It’s strange being in a place like MetLife we know so well when it’s cold, dark and raining,” Chesney mused before his interview. “It’s just here, waiting. Knowing all the faces we’ve seen light up, the staff, the memories; it’s a pretty great place to sit down and talk to someone like Willie Geist, who gets the music and recognizes so much of what we do is about building and trying to grow. Nothing exists in a vacuum; not a tour, certainly not an album – and we still make albums – so coming somewhere so special to us was a great place to sit down and look at the journey to No Shoes Nation.”

With “Take Her Home” cresting the Top 10, and the shoot-your-shot gusto of “Just To Say We Did,” the tangled letting go of “Thinkin’ Bout,” the naughty get-out-of-jail invitation of “Guilty Pleasure” or the toast to those who have passed on “Wherever You Are Tonight,” Chesney’s first album in four years is one of his most comprehensive. If not a culmination of a life lived in music, it certainly explores a plethora of styles, realities and Chesney’s unrelenting positivity.

“This close to a tour, I realized: we couldn’t do the traditional record release media stuff most people get to do,” Chesney explained. “So I wanted to do one thing that would really matter and make sense; to talk to someone who wasn’t looking to do lifestyle stuff, but really dig in and consider what this all means. When you do that, Willie Geist is the man to call.”

Beyond their conversation about music, especially BORN, the pair talked about sports, dreams, living a life that matters and how No Shoes Nation is an outgrowth of how Chesney and his people view the world. Philosophical and far-ranging, the extended sit down and conversation in the stands achieves a deeper look at what fires the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee known for his high-intensity concerts and major tours that have sold over a million tickets every summer since 2002.

Craig Morgan sworn in as Warrant Officer in the Army Reserve

Country music star and soldier Craig Morgan received his appointment to Warrant Officer 1 in the Army Reserve on Saturday, February 3. The swearing-in took place at Huntsville, Alabama’s Redstone Arsenal with Chief Warrant Officer 3 William R. Green, along with John Clement (Deputy State Director/Military Advisor, U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn) and Craig’s wife, Karen Greer, officiating the ceremony while surrounded by family and friends.

Having previously served seventeen years in the Army and Army Reserve with the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions, the country music star, author and patriot returned to service last year. Craig was again sworn-in to the Army Reserve on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry on July 29, 2023. Watch the historic moment HERE.

NASCAR announced today that renowned guitarist Nita Strauss will perform the National Anthem prior to the 2024 Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum, February 4.

The performance will be televised live on FOX at 5pm PST/ 8pm EST.

"Nita Strauss can excite a crowd like no other," said Ben Kennedy, NASCAR's Senior Vice President, Racing Development and Strategy. "Her mastery on the guitar will invigorate everyone in attendance, and we're thrilled to have her play to our fans before the Busch Light Clash."

The Los Angeles born guitarist has become a force to be reckoned with, dazzling over a million audience members per year around the world. Fans may recognize Nita as the touring guitarist for rock legend Alice Cooper and superstar Demi Lovato, the official guitarist of the Los Angeles Rams, as well as her successful career as a solo artist. She has played multiple sports events including NASCAR Races and WWE Pay Per Views, most notably her critically acclaimed performance at WrestleMania 34 in 2018.

Breakout alt-rock sensation Letdown. is kicking off the New Year with a band, releasing new double single "Anxiety" and "Making Miseries" today via Big Loud Rock. "Anxiety" will be featured on MTV's wildly popular reality series The Challenge, airing this upcoming Wednesday, January 10. When asked about the inspiration behind today's dual release, Letdown. mastermind Blake Coddington shared:

Letdown. (period included) may have started as a pandemic project for Blake Coddington, but the Chicago/Nashville-based rocker is in a very different place in 2023. Having spent the last three years cultivating a fervent fanbase through a number of single releases and emerging as a striking live act — finally bringing his music into the physical lives of his online fans across several sold-out, headlining shows this past year — Coddington is rapidly growing his presence away from the internet for the first time in Letdown.’s short history.

The powerful vocals and emotional lyrics over catchy, upbeat drums and guitars originally served as a cathartic way for the songwriter to express himself while working a dead-end job that he hated. But 2022 saw Letdown. being signed to Big Loud Rock and move beyond his beginnings as a viral, at-home musician. It was just three years ago that he began throwing videos on YouTube expecting to get a few hundred views, yet now he’s become a known and respected musical commodity both in-person and online with over 643K followers and 5.1M likes on TikTok, 25+ million views on his YouTube channel, over 80M on demand streams and editorial playlisting from the likes of Spotify’s All New Rock, New Noise, Rock Out and Rock Hard. “I always feel weird when people ask me how long I’ve been around, because I got so used to telling people that Letdown. was this new thing,” Coddington laughs. “But now we’re touring and we’ve got a record coming out with a label involved and all of this stuff. I know I’m not ‘seasoned’ yet, but it feels new, exciting and different.”

As for the new EP itself, pushing forth a collection of seven songs is still a bit of a new experience for Coddington, who’s gotten this far by steadily releasing a single at a time. The title track and opener is a perfect example of the wild, emotional ride that Letdown. enjoys taking his fans on. The song builds into a pumped-up anthem that you can’t help but sing along to, and behind the reactive hook and catchy rhythm, Letdown. takes listeners through the experience and inner turmoil of trying to get over someone you can’t forget by wailing, “crying in the shower, but I can’t wash you away.”

“You ever listen to happy songs when you're upset or sad or depressed and they make you feel even worse?” Coddington asks with a smirk. “That’s what ‘Crying in the Shower’ is for me. It's like, ‘Here's a list of terrible things, set to an incredibly upbeat, happy beat’ — which is almost a metaphor for me. I’m a happy-looking guy who is quite the opposite on the inside.” Elsewhere, the EP continues to document Coddington’s internal struggle as he searches for answers in times of darkness, uncertainty and self-doubt on stadium-sized singles “Go To Hell”, “Empty”, “Shipwreck” and “Ugly”, a soaring, pop-rock belter featuring Kelsy Karter & the Heroines that encompasses the types of thoughts related to self image and how we perceive ourselves. “That song is a literal depiction of how I feel about myself,” Coddington adds. “It may be a dichotomy between the actual person that I am and the person that I see in the mirror as my flaws are sometimes all I see. As I try to disassociate from the me that I hate, I also struggle with the reality that we are one and the same.”

In regards to the release of his first full body of music, Coddington remains thrilled for his future, the development of Letdown., and continuing to connect with those who have found solace in his powerful online community. “Getting to put out something like an EP seems so classic to me, which makes me really excited about it.” he says. “I’m honestly just excited that people won’t have to select another song after each one and can just ride the wave. I think we've really curated it in a way that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster — in the best way possible.”

'Farmer Wants A Wife' Returns Feb. 1 on FOX; Meet the 4 Farmers in Search of Love

Season Two of Farmer Wants a Wife, the most successful dating show in the world, airing in 32 countries and resulting in 201 marriages and 514 children…and counting, returns Thursday, Feb. 1 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. In a trend that continues to sweep America, there’s been a migration from city-centers to suburban and rural locales, and with that, love follows. Hosted by superstar entertainer and Grammy Award winner Jennifer Nettles, the anticipated season follows four farmers in search of real, lasting love.

Season Two’s new crop of farmers—Ty Ferrell, Mitchell Kolinsky, Brandon Rogers and Nathan Smothers — host a group of single women who leave behind the comfort and convenience of city life for the charms and challenges of country living, as they embark on an adventure that could change the course of their lives forever.

With diverse backgrounds in cattle ranching, citrus, potato and barley farming, horse training and more, the upcoming season promises an even more in-depth look at the pursuit of genuine love as each farmer and their group of hopeful singles meet and mutually select one another before the women are invited to experience life on their respective farm. While both his parents and his two brothers have more traditional, white-collar careers, Mitchell fell in love with the beauty and promise of the great outdoors. He knew a life in the heartland was the one for him, so he bought his first farm to pursue his dream of becoming a horse and cattle rancher. He hopes to build a farming legacy with a wife by his side.

When he lost his Dad at 12-years-old, he quickly grew up and became the man of the house, helping to support his Mom and three sisters. He returned to live and work on the farm full time when he graduated from college and is eager to begin his next chapter, including starting a family with the love of his life.
