With Eric Church’s brand-new song “On The Road” reflecting on his storied career through the memories that stay with him, the 11-time GRAMMY nominee proves there are still new memories to be made with today’s announcement that he will make his long-awaited Australian headline debut in March 2027.
Joined by special guest Parker McCollum, also making his debut Down Under, Church will take the stage at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on March 13 and Afterpay Arena in Sydney on March 16, before heading to Queensland to headline CMC Rocks QLD’s 20th anniversary celebration on March 20.
“Australia, we heard you, and we’re on our way,” Church shares. “It’s been a long time coming, and we’re damn excited to finally bring this show to you. We’re gonna pack as much as we can into these nights, so come early, stay late and let’s make up for lost time.”
As always, Church Choir members will have first access to arena show tickets, with presales beginning this Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. local time ahead of tickets going on sale to the general public Thursday, Oct. 1 at 12 p.m. local time via EricChurch.com.
The highly anticipated arrival has been years in the making, with Church having been on CMC Rocks’ “bucket list for almost twenty years,” according to Festival Director Jeremy Dylan. “We are certain the Chief will raise the proverbial roof with his legendary live show,” Dylan said following the festival’s 2027 lineup announcement.
Church will also join as special guest on Kenny Chesney’s recently announced all-stadium Original Vibe Room Tour 2027, kicking off at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium on April 24 and running through Aug. 28 at Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium. Tickets to all stadium tour dates are on sale now.

Corey Kent's Highly Anticipated HEARTLAND ROCK AND ROLL Available Now
Multi-Platinum Sony Music Nashville recording artist Corey Kent releases his highly anticipated third major-label album, Heartland Rock and Roll, available everywhere today. The 16-track collection, which Entertainment Focus noted “doesn’t just feel like another release; it feels like a statement of identity,” captures the Oklahoma native’s signature blend of country, rock and soul while putting a name to the sound he has spent his career building. Originally slated as a 15-track album, Heartland Rock and Roll grew at the last minute with the addition of the sultry “Don’t Stop Now,” written by Kent with Austin Goodloe, Lydia Vaughan and Joybeth Taylor. After Kent teased the song for fans, the response was immediate, convincing him the track needed to make the final album.
“My new song ‘Don’t Stop Now’ has gotta be the sexiest song I’ve ever written,” shares Kent. “It’s a new lane for me but I had so much fun writing and recording this one because it has so much soul and vibe to it. It almost feels like a Continuum-era John Mayer song, if John Mayer had a Southern accent. Early on I was influenced a lot by soul and R&B music and it’s been really fun to explore how I can incorporate that in my own sound.”
The song finds Kent exploring a more sensual side of his songwriting, painting an intimate scene, “We’re already halfway down the hall / Knocked a couple pictures off the wall,” before building into its soulful chorus:
Produced primarily by Austin Goodloe, with additional production from Jon Randall and Chris Farren, Heartland Rock and Roll spans 16 tracks that blend golden-hour nostalgia, rugged honesty, hard-earned perspective and the peace that comes with staying true to yourself. The album features previously released tracks including “Everyday Life,” “Rocky Mountain Low” featuring Koe Wetzel which Billboard called “an unyielding, rock-fueled anthem,” “Wannabe,” “Cigarette Burns,” “Rather Be Here” featuring Jason Aldean and current single “Empty Words,” which is Top 25 and climbing at country radio, logging almost 5 million streams per week.
“Heartland Rock and Roll is my third major label album, and it’s really the first time I’ve been able to finally name the sound I’ve been working towards my entire career,” said Kent. “The lyrics span from nostalgia, to honest regrets and gratitude for the simple things I value most in life. Electronic trailblazers DELERIUM & iconic avant-garde singer DIAMANDA GALÁS present “Into The Light“
Legendary Canadian electronic duo Delerium presents "Into The Light", a stunning collaboration with iconic American avant-garde singer and performer Diamanda Galás, released via Metropolis Records. An exquisite work of downtempo electronica, this track reveals itself as an opus of shadowy ethereal brilliance.
Delerium is a Canadian electronic music group founded in 1987 by the globally renowned duo of Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber. Over the course of four decades, their music has encompassed a diverse range of styles that include dark instrumental soundscapes, ambient trance and electronic pop music.
"Into The Light" is the first offering from “Exaudire" -- Delerium's 16th album to date -- out in January 2027. It embodies portions of “Deliver Me From Mine Enemies: IV. Ε Ξελόυ Mε [Deliver Me]“, which was written and performed by Diamanda Galás and included on her 1986 album “The Divine Punishment". Produced by Leeb and Fulber, this was mixed and mastered by Greg Reely.
"Delerium has always been inspired by ancient spiritual callings through the ages. Having followed and listened to Diamanda Galás music and voice, I felt there was a certain connection. I have always wanted to work with her on a collaboration and now was the right time. 'Into The Light' is a perfect example of how Diamanda channels pain into beauty, and her inner demons are exorcised into art," says Bill Leeb.
Before forming Delerium, Leeb and Fulber had made a name for themselves with the highly influential electronic-industrial group Front Line Assembly (Leeb was also an early member of Skinny Puppy). Originally intended as a side project for exploring dark ambient instrumental compositions, Delerium ultimately took on a long and beautiful life of its own.
Since their 1994 album 'Semantic Spaces', Delerium has received two Juno awards and grown to massive fame through collaborations, involving vocals by Leigh Nash (Sixpence None the Richer), Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance), Kirsty Hawkshaw (Opus III), Emily Haines (Metric), Jacqui Hunt (Single Gun Theory), Matthew Sweet and Kristy Thirsk (Rose Chronicles).
Worldwide chart success came in 2000 with the anthem "Silence (featuring Sarah McLachlan)", reaching #1 in numerous countries. Its remixes are also hailed among the greatest trance songs of all time (with the Tiësto remix voted the 12th-greatest dance track of all time by Mixmag readers).
With Front Line Assembly already part of the Metropolis Records roster, Delerium signed to the label for the release of the albums "Mythologie" (2016) and "Signs" (2023). Bill Leeb also released his widely acclaimed debut solo album "Model Kollapse" via Metropolis in 2024.
Delerium has also seen sync licensing placements with songs appearing in films such as "Brokedown Palace" and "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider". “Silence" was also recently heard in the hit BBC drama "Industry".

New Jersey's QUIZ SHOW honors old friends & forges new paths on ‘XONO’ EP (Out September 28th)
New Jersey-based indie rock trio Quiz Show present their new 'XONO' EP, released via New Jersey's Magic Door Record Label. This three-song collectioncaptures the band at a point of transition, blending noisy, high-energy power-trio rock with a growing acoustic side in their performance.
Quiz Show is made up of Chris Matthews, a founding member of of legendary DC hardcore band Shudder To Think, and bassist Jesse Krakow, together with drummer Joe Billy III, who replaced the original drummer Kevin March (Guided By Voices, The Dambuilders, Shudder To Think).
You could say Quiz Show is a continuation of unfinished business. After a quarter-century break, Chris Matthews picked-up his guitar and again began to write songs, triggered by a chance meeting with his former Shudder To Think bandmate Kevin March. Now both living in Montclair, Kevin and Chris ended up forming Quiz Show with Frank Gibbons on bass.
This EP reflects Quiz Show’s recent evolution, honoring longtime influences and collaborators while pointing toward the band’s next chapter. Once again, Quiz Show worked with award-winning producer Ray Ketchem (Guided By Voices, Luna, Elk City, Gramercy Arms, The Dambuilders), who produced, recorded, mixed and mastered thie EP at Magic Door Recording Studio in Montclair, NJ.
The title track 'XONO' is about the high hopes of friendship and love, and the difficulties that lie therein, exploring the painful gap between idealized romantic aspirations and the harsh truth that a promising bond is ultimately doomed to fail. Chris Matthews shares, "I really love 'XONO' for being a tight, quick, and complex song. There is some great simplicity and pleasant dissonance in the music. That it tells a story about difficult relationships is something I am proud to have found a way to spell out".
The second track, 'Haircut Sphinx', is a cover of a Guided By Voices song, written by Robert Pollard and recorded for their 'Mirrored Aztec' LP from 2020. .
"We were inspired to record the song to honor the genius of Pollard and his relentlessly amazing songwriting in Guided by Voices, and also to pay homage to our good friend Kevin March, GBV’s drummer on this song and many others," says Chris Matthews.
"We slowed the tempo of the song and added an organ (played by Jesse) to capture a more sludgy feel. We also changed the ending to bring out what seemed to us a really cool musical change with a great vocal line that we thought was worth repeating."
The EP closes with an acoustic version of 'Pom Pom Boy', a first generation Quiz Show song. Chris Matthews explains, "Originally released on our 'Quiz Show' album, we recorded this version to give this song a new life in a different costume." Written by Kevin March and Chris Matthews in Chris’ basement years ago, it captures the spirit of what these two created when they sat down just to play and see what happens. This track highlights the multi-talents of Joe Billy III, whose killer drumming was set aside to showcase his acoustic guitar skills.
Quiz Show makes music still squarely within the punk and alternative rock spectrum with elements of Hüsker Dü, Pixies, Ramones, Fugazi, Sonic Youth, and Girls Against Boys. Blending the melodic hooks and songcraft of alternative pop with the raw energy and noise of punk, their layered guitars, heavy drums, and bass create a dense, dynamic sound that rewards repeated listens.
Their 2023's debut 'Quiz Show' album is an electrifying collection full of protest, friendship and frustration. Their 'Flotsam' EP, released in 2024 and engineered by Ketchem and Brian Robbins (Blondie, Bring Me The Horizon, Papa Roach), explores the shattered, lost stories of people’s lives. Both releases received widespread critical acclaim.
"Our new 'XONO' EP captures the life of Quiz Show over the last year. After a run of EPs as a power trio, schedules and real life made time for the band tight. Nevertheless, we found a way to write, practice, and record 'XONO' and 'Haircut Sphinx'. These songs give the best sense of where we have been trying to go with the band," explains Chris Matthews.
"Joe and Chris are now playing as a duo and will be including an acoustic break in their live sets. The new recording of 'Pom Pom' shows how this will look"

ENSLAVED - unveils new single 'Tales Of Trees' + announces co-headline UK & European tour with Sólstafir
Last month, progressive trailblazers Enslaved officially announced their forthcoming studio album, Mið, set for release on October 30 via Nuclear Blast Records. Throughout their 35-year journey, across 17 albums, the Norwegian vanguard have continually redefined the boundaries of progressive black metal, weaving Old Norse histories and sacred traditions into complex modern soundscapes. With their latest offering, Enslaved turn their gaze toward the fundamental concept of the axis: the middle, the origin, and the infinite reach of the present moment.
Building on the momentum of their latest tracks 'Solar Will' and 'Spirit Helper' (feat. Kevin Kicking Woman)', the band have now unveiled the album's next captivating single, 'Tales Of Trees'. The song uses the majesty and fragility of the natural world as a mirror for the human condition. Through a blend of complex progressive structures and searing black metal atmosphere, the band draws a poignant parallel between Mother Nature and the psyche.
Voicalist / bassist Grutle Kjellson states:
"Tales of Trees is indeed tales about trees, but perhaps not first and foremost in a botanical sense. Trees can grow, shine, and flourish, but they can also wither and burn. They need to be tended to and looked after in one way or another, and thus serve as a fitting parallel to the human mind, let alone humanity as a whole. Trees as symbols of something more than mere botanical creatures have appeared throughout history, both in mythological tales and in folklore. So, I think this tale is a fitting accompaniment the the heavy and yet dynamic tunes of this composition”
Guitarist Ivar Bjørnson adds:
“‘Tales of Trees’ can be both a tribute to our wooden relatives on this planet - who have had rather a lot of patience with us; and a metaphor for so much more. The winding time signatures of folk music and the adventurous spirit of classic prog are natural ingredients in my songwriting, and they feel particularly at home here.There is something about our kinship with trees that is both deeply familiar and wonderfully strange: everyday encounters with something we barely understand. That sense of recognition and mystery is at the heart of this song, opening another path into the world of ‘Mið’.”

BraveWords Records went deep into the vault to bring you two tracks that have never been heard before, recorded by David Reece (Banagalore Choir) and Rob Robbins. The songs were recorded to remember the late Rhett Forrester, famous for singing on two classic Riot albums - Restless Breed (1982) and Born in America (1983).

Giles Lavery, A&R BraveWords Records: “I met Rob Robbins back in 2019, when I reached out to him to see if he would be interested in working on releasing some of his work with the late, great Rhett Forrester, much of which had gone unreleased. During this project and process, we came up with an idea to revisit two classic Rhett tracks. I put Rob in touch with a singer named David Reece (Bangalore Choir), who had that Rhett vibe (in more ways than one). We picked Rhett's solo tune 'Assume The Position"' and the Riot classic 'Restless Breed'! These tunes sat around for a while as Covid got in the way, but now is the perfect time to unleash them! So, get comfortable and ASSUME THE POSITION!”

In 2024, BraveWords Records released Rhett Forrester & Rob Robbins - The Complete Dr. Dirty Sessions, a collection of songs celebrating a little known chapter in the musical journey of much missed rock vocalist, the one and only... the late Rhett Forrester during his time spent living in Canada in the early '90s. Originally billed under the band-name Dr. Dirty from 1992-1993, the songs were written by Scot Gaines and Rob Robbins before Forrester joined to complete the then new band.

IGGY POP joins JOAN AS POLICE WOMAN for a Powerful Reimagining of “Save Me”
Continuing the celebration of her new album 'Real Life Evolution', released via UK label Reveal Records, NYC singer-songwriter Joan As Police Woman has teamed up with the illustrious Iggy Pop on 'Save Me'. The track is one of ten fresh interpretations of songs from Joan’s 2006 debut 'Real Life' album, reimagined two decades after its original release with a new cast of collaborators and released exactly 20 years from her debut.
Joan Wasser, known as Joan As Police Woman since 2004, is a critically acclaimed musician and producer, and a sought-after collaborator, dubbed “the coolest woman in pop” (The Times) and “one of the 21st century’s best musicians” (The Economist). As a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, her music defies easy categorization, crafting her own sound that blends various genres.
"Some transformations are subtle. Others are seismic. All of them were made with an entirely new cast of collaborators. Among them are two extraordinary vocalists. The inimitable Iggy Pop — whose band I’ve had the privilege of touring with, playing keys and singing — recorded a stunning version of 'Save Me' while we were on the road in New Zealand. We had to work around the birds outside, who apparently had strong opinions about the session. Then there’s Krystle Warren, a true original and one of my favorite singers alive. Her voice is so deeply soulful that 'I Defy' feels like it thoroughly enjoyed easily slipping into its brand new groove," says Joan.

"To me, Iggy is one of the great romantics. A few years ago, when I joined his band on Wurlitzer organ and vocals, I began to weep while in rehearsal for The Passenger. His voice is simply one of the greatest of all time. It holds a commanding masculinity alongside a profound connection to the fully range of human experience. This song carries that same quality I’ve always heard in him: a raw, aching desperation that few singers can touch. I am forever grateful to the “Godfather of Punk”.
The Real Life Anniversary Sessions video for 'Save' Me' was filmed at The Owl Music Parlor in Brooklyn by Ehud Lazin, and recorded by Adam Sachs as Joan is accompanied by Jeremy Gustin on drums and Will Graefe on guitar and vocals, the 'Real Life Anniversary Sessions)' video. Earlier, Joan shared similar intimate versions of 'Feed The Light', 'Eternal Flame', 'Flushed Chest', 'The Ride','Anyone', the title track 'Real Life', 'I Defy', and the most recent offering in this series - 'Christobel'.
"Will Graefe brings his emotionally masterful guitar work and Jeremy Gustin his remarkable rhythmic sensibility to several tracks. Parker Kindred’s inventive drum creations were the spark behind others. Thomas Bartlett unlocked a new dimension of the title track — honoring its original feeling while casting it in a warmer, amber light — and added Rhodes bass throughout," says Joan.
"This album gave me the chance to reunite, decades on, with upright bassist Tony Scherr, guitarist Oren Bloedow, and funk bassist Danny Blume — musicians whose artistry has only deepened with time."

Aeternum Release New Single "Spatial Memory", Announce Tour with Ventana and Deadly Apples
Modern rock band Aeternum continue a breakout year with the release of their new single “Spatial Memory,” while simultaneously announcing their upcoming Saints of Sickness Tour this November alongside Ventana and Deadly Apples.
Produced by Scott Wilson (Saving Abel) and co-written by Paul Bartolome (Asking Alexandria), “Spatial Memory” captures Aeternum at their most vulnerable and introspective, transforming a difficult personal moment into a powerful modern rock anthem. The band tracked all of the material at Sunshine Studios Live in Colorado Springs, creating a sonic foundation that balances atmosphere, intensity, and emotional honesty.
At the heart of “Spatial Memory” is the struggle to remain present when everything feels overwhelming. For vocalist Kayla, the song emerged from a particularly difficult day when she arrived at band rehearsal struggling emotionally. What began as frustration with a familiar grounding exercise ultimately became a deeper realization about the power of attention and awareness.
Kayla explains:
"With 'Spatial Memory', on a particularly hard day, I met with my band to write. I was straight up not doing well. my mindset at the time led me to the repetition of a grounding method I'd heard since I was a kid. 'Can you list 5 things you feel? 4 things you see? 3 things you hear?' etc. I felt annoyed thinking about this simple list of questions. Then annoyed with myself, why is the simplicity of a solution frustrating me? In reality I was resisting awareness. I underestimated the power of my attention, and where i place it. I really leaned into that feeling.”
That willingness to confront difficult emotions has become an important part of Aeternum’s identity. After a year filled with new music, festivals, new cities, and an ever-growing fanbase, the band is ready to take that momentum back on the road.
Jose reflects on the band’s 2026 journey:
“2026 has been a year of growth for us, releasing new music, meeting a ton of new fans and playing some great festivals!”
Bass player Cam adds:
"It’s been exciting playing more new places with and engaging with fans old and new! We can’t wait to hit the road again this fall once more with Ventana and Deadly Apples. We plan to be on the road again quite a bit next year as well as releasing a lot more music and videos."
The Saints of Sickness Tour marks another major milestone for Aeternum, with the band heading out for their fifth tour in just two years. Drummer Kris says the opportunity to hit the road again with familiar friends makes the upcoming run especially exciting:
“Going out on our 5th tour in 2 years is surreal. Being out with our friends in Ventana once again, plus sharing the stage with Deadly Apples every night, is going to be mind-alteringly epicl!”
With “Spatial Memory” now available and another tour on the horizon, Aeternum are showing no signs of slowing down. The band plans to spend much of 2027 on the road while continuing to release new music and videos, building on the momentum of a 2026 that has already taken them to new stages and introduced their music to fans across the country.

Sabaton Join Forces With Pop Evil On New Version of "Templars"
Continuing a banner year, the Swedish masters of heavy metal Sabaton re-up their 2025 hit "Templars" with a brand-new version featuring Leigh Kakaty of Platinum-certified, chart-topping rock powerhouse Pop Evil. The song is now available on all DSPs and digital download providers via Better Noise Music.

It's a collision of two different genres of hard rock that feels completely seamless.
Sabaton welcomed Pop Evil frontman Leigh Kakaty to the stage during their set at Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY. Surprising tens of thousands of fans, they debuted this version together, leading to one of the standout moments of the massive fest. Kakaty infuses the track with a rush of fresh energy and fire. Between blasts of distortion and thunderous drums, his soaring vocals take flight. All of this momentum culminates on the chantable chorus: "Templars on the march, charge from the temple."
Regarding the new version, Sabaton vocalist Joakim Brodénsays, "'Templars' was a hit with our fans when we dropped it last year to introduce our 11th studio album, Legends. This year, we wanted to do something a little different with it, and teaming up with our North American tourmates, Pop Evil, just made perfect sense. Having a fantastic vocalist put his own stamp on the track adds a whole new layer and gives the song a fresh energy that we're really excited for everyone to hear. The band had previously partnered with World Of Warships and Wargaming for "Bismarck" in 2019. Fans have been lucky enough to have a taste of the track live, with the band performing "F.A.M.O.U.S" at a run of festivals in Europe, as well as Summer Sonic in Japan last month. The band continue to tease what is yet to come as they release their third single of the year with their signature Y2K energetic sound. "F.A.M.O.U.S" follows on from previous singles "DEADMEAT" and "SUPERMAN," which was their biggest streaming debut to date.

After their breakout tracks “Demon”, “Washed Away”, and “Love No More”; Savage Hands cemented themselves as leaders in a new, modern rock sound. An Emotional Reflection on Loss, Memory, and the People Who Help Us Through the Hardest Days — Featuring Piano by Black Label Society’s JD DeServio
TLG|ZOID, distributed by Virgin Music Group, announces the release of “The Price We Pay,” the powerful new rock single from Swim the Current. Produced by George Pond, Chris Reyes, and David Caplinger, the track is an emotionally charged reflection on loss, grief, and the memories that help carry us forward when life feels impossibly heavy.
“‘The Price We Pay’ is really about losing someone you love and trying to hold on to the good times while you’re living through the bad ones. Loss is something we all deal with eventually, and sometimes those memories—the laughs, the stories, the moments you’ll never forget—are what get you through the hardest days,” says George Pond, bassist for Swim The Current
Adding an especially meaningful layer to the track is JD DeServio of Black Label Society, who contributes piano to the song. Pond and DeServio share a friendship that spans years of touring, conversations, and a mutual love of music. Both are accomplished bass players, but their long-standing friendship had never translated into a musical collaboration—until now.
While DeServio is widely recognized for his work as a bassist with Black Label Society, Pond emphasizes that his talents extend far beyond the instrument.
"This song became even more special to me because my good buddy JD DeServio from Black Label Society plays piano on the track. JD and I are both bass players, and after all these years of friendship, touring and talking just about every day, we’ve always wanted to do something together musically but somehow never had the opportunity. People obviously know JD as an incredible bass player, but he’s also an amazing multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer—and just an all-around amazing dude."
"More importantly, he’s one of my closest friends. Having him play on a song this personal means more to me than I can really put into words. He absolutely crushed the piano part and brought an emotion to the song that was exactly what it needed. After being friends for so many years, it’s an honor to finally have our names together on a piece of music. I couldn’t be prouder of what he brought to ‘Price We Pay.’”
“The back story on this one is very personal. I had written the music as an instrumental the week my pup Kodi passed away. When George and Greg heard it, they asked if they could use the music for an STC song, and I agreed. The lyrics that George and Marcos wrote capture all the emotions of losing a loved one. It was the perfect marriage of music and lyrics," adds Joe Gareri, the band's lead guitarist.

Gavin Adcock Releases “Rockstar Life,” Reveals Cities for Album Release Shows
