Punk Polka Ska Masters RUSSKAJA Announce New Album, 'Turbo Polka Party', out February 3, 2023

First Single and Video “No Borders”

by the Ukrainian and Russian Rooted Band

Sets Strong Sign for Peace

Watch NOW!

Fusing metal, punk, ska and polka, RUSSKAJA call for peace with their most heavy-hitting album yet!

Stand up, couch potatoes - it’s time to get moving! High voltage party polka virtuosos RUSSKAJA provide the most danceable heavy album of early 2023 with 'Turbo Polka Party', out February 3 via Napalm Records!

Hailing from Austria but wearing their Ukrainian and Russian heritages on their sleeves, RUSSKAJA present their hardest-hitting studio album to date, once again mixing elements of metal, punk, ska and polka to create an addictive mixture you can’t help but move to.

Today, the band has released the new album’s first single, No Borders, alongside an animated official music video. Although they are one of the most entertaining bands in rock, RUSSKAJA have never strayed away from clear political statements. The band, known for utilizing Soviet imagery as a nod to their cultural background, sends a clear sign against war - calling for peace and humanity on 'Turbo Polka Party'.

This message is particularly emphasized on "No Borders - reflective of the cries for peace RUSSKAJA stated in the wake of the Ukrainian/Russian tensions flaring earlier this year:

“No borders, no wars

We‘re equal, all the same

No nations, no fighting

Just stop this game”

Guitarist/songwriter/producer Engel Mayr about “No Borders”:

“Besides the incredibly important message of the song, we’re also really happy we did another video with the great Juppi Juppsen again, who has done some of our greatest visuals like “Energia” & “El Pueblo Unido” in the past!”

Watch the Music Video for “No Borders”

The band also produced a special No Borders shirt - 100 % of proceeds earned from the sale will be donated to the charity organization "Volkshilfe" and will benefit Ukrainian refugees. The shirt is available together with the Special Edition autograph card No Borders signed from all band members and can be bought on the RUSSKAJA website.

RUSSKAJA undoubtedly master the tightrope act between clear message and entertainment. With Russki Style, they show themselves on well-tread paths, while Shapka hits a multi-faceted color scheme of polka, ska and classic 90s nu metal.

But a party can't happen without friends. Micha Rhein from In Extremo finds a place on the wistful Olga von der Wolga, while Skindred singer Benji Webbe supports the rousing reggae metal single Vozdukh and Hamburg dance act Le Fly convinces with exotic groove on the German-Spanish song "Senales". Even the Wham hit “Last Christmas is not safe from RUSSKAJA.

Unyielding darkness and brutality emerge from the deep south of the United States. Atlanta, GA based quartet CLOAK blend the sounds of black metal, rock ‘n’ roll, and homegrown Southern sludge to create their own unique and menacing sound.

Their debut full-length, 'To Venomous Depths,' (2017) was met with critical acclaim upon its release. Decibel Magazine placed it at #20 among their “Top 40 Albums of 2017,” solidifying the band’s place among the heavy metal elite. Now, CLOAK is back with 'The Burning Dawn,' a riff-heavy and groove-laden follow-up that proves the band are still rife with fresh ideas.

Conceptually, the record comes from a place below the surface where the sleepless and sinister dwell, and is absorbed by the darkest of dreams and the most primal desires. Musically, this exploration takes the gothic nuances of its predecessor while abandoning any hesitation in exchange for a more aggressive and vehement spirit.

While rippers like “On Poisoned Ground” and “Into the Storm” deliver a fury of soulful aggression, songs like “Lifeless Silence” and “The Fire, The Faith, The Void” offer a darker, gothic essence, ultimately displaying CLOAK’s multi-faceted and dynamic musical diversity. So, raise your fists and set fire to the world; this is 'The Burning Dawn.'

Watch their performance HERE.

Transforming the set with church pews and neon signs, McBryde and Osborne were joined by a small choir to deliver their hymn’s chorus, with Rolling Stone sharing, “The rest of the record tumbles out as more of a spoken word retelling of a night Jesus stopped in at the strip club, took in the stories of the characters all around him, dropped a $20 bill on the counter, and slipped out the door.”

Marking her third consecutive GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, following Warner Music Nashville’s
Girl Going Nowhere in 2018 and Never Will in 2020, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville was produced by Osborne and features performances from Brothers Osborne, Brandy Clark, Aaron Raitiere, Pillbox Patti, Caylee Hammack and Benjy Davis. The project has been named one of the best albums of the year by Rolling Stone, Billboard, Stereogum, Tennessean and more.

About Ashley McBryde
CMA and ACM award winner Ashley McBryde cut her teeth playing country songs in rural biker bars – and it shows. Her 2018 major label debut Girl Going Nowhere (Warner Music Nashville) charmed The New York Times,
NPR, Rolling Stone, Paste, The Washington Post and more, all en route to landing a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album. The album earned McBryde a 2021 GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, making Never Will the only album nominated for Country Album of the Year by the ACMs, CMAs and the Recording Academy in the same award season. Her critically acclaimed duet with Carly Pearce, “Never Wanted To Be That Girl,” went all the way to No. 1 and earned McBryde and Pearce the ACM and CMA award for Musical Event of the Year. McBryde was also honored with the 2022 CMA International Artist Achievement Award for the most significant creative growth, development and promotion of the country music industry outside of the United States. The Arkansas-native invites listeners to Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville, a collaborative new project featuring Brothers Osborne, Brandy Clark, Pillbox Patti, Caylee Hammack, Aaron Raitiere and more, earning McBryde her third consecutive GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, while her duet with Pearce received a nod for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, making her a six-time GRAMMY nominee. NYC songstress Jessie Kilguss honors Kate Bush with 'Wuthering Heights' cover

"Kilguss artfully pulls us into her wistful nostalgia with a bit of twang and a strummy, well arranged instrumental accompaniment" ~ Guitar World

“Stellar, pure, inspired and inspiring… her voice is as clear as her vision and every element of her music is perfectly placed” ~ The Spill Magazine

"Finely-wrought, deep, dark valentine... well-crafted” ~ American Songwriter

"Sublime, serene, introspective and wonderfully imaginative... combining the best of Martha Wainwright, Carly Simon and Beth Orton" ~ The Record Stache

“Artfully beautiful, full of radiant harmonics, stylish rhythms, and Jessie Kilguss’ enchantress-like tones. Imaginative and numinous" ~ Seattle Post-Intelligencer

"She uses her songs to probe possibilities that lie just below the surface, allowing them to resonate in ways that allow for greater interest and intrigue" ~ Goldmine Magazine

"Fluid and poised... Her flawless lyrical and melodic aesthetic relays uncompromising emotion in a light and flowing style" ~ The Aquarian

Order / Pre-Save 'Wuthering Heights' https://found.ee/hly0x

NYC-based indie-pop / folk artist Jessie Kilguss presents a gentle and sanguine acoustic rendition of 'Wuthering Heights', first made famous by Kate Bush. Engineered, produced, mixed and mastered by Charlie Nieland (Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Blondie, Scissor Sisters) at Saturation Point Studiosin Brooklyn, this stripped down features only guitar, vocals, harmonium and glockenspiel.

With Kilguss handling vocals and harmonium, she is accompanied by Charlie Nieland on glockenspiel with guitar by Andrea Longato, who has played with some of today's finest artists, including Jeremy Jordan, Alphonso Ribeiro, Duncan Sheik, Tony Vincent (The Voice) and Justin Guarini (American Idol).

"I’ve been covering this song live for a couple of years. I’m a big fan of Kate Bush. I read 'Wuthering Heights' by Emily Brontë when I was a teenager and loved it. I wonder if that would be the case as an adult. The song 'Wuthering Heights' really captures the spirit of the book in its melodrama and angst. I find it really fun to sing because of that," says Jessie Kilguss.

"One of the things I love about Kate Bush is that she deals in big emotions and is a master storyteller. I find this song so compelling. It’s extraordinary that she wrote it when she was a teenager."

This offering follows her recently-released 'What Do Whales Dream About at Night?' LP, a collection of eloquent indie folk, pop rock and Americana-tinged songs featuring drummer Brian Griffin (Patti Smith, Brandi Carlisle, Lana Del Rey), bassist Whynot Jansveld (The Wallflowers, Butch Walker, Sara Bareilles), award-winning composer-producer Naren Rauch on guitar, and Nathan Schram (Bjork, David Crosby, David Byrne), with whom Kilguss runs the non-profit organization Musicambia.

Mixed and mastered by Charlie Nieland, the album was co-produced by Adam Lasus (Yo La Tengo, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Helium), Kilguss and her band members with Lasus also engineering.

A former actress, whose acting highlights include 'The Crucible' (with Daniel Day Lewis and Winona Ryder) and the stage production 'As You Like It' (directed by Royal Shakespeare Company founder Sir Peter Hall), Kilguss made the switch to songwriting after working with two of her musical heroes - Marianne Faithfull and Mary Margaret O'Hara in the Tom Waits / William Burroughsmusical 'The Black Rider'.

In addition to writing and performing her own music, Kilguss also sings with Gramercy Arms, Jim Andralis and the Syntonics and Benjamin Cartel. She also performed at the Sundance Film Festival and with Freddie Stevenson, supporting The Waterboys for their European tour.

As of December 7, 'Wuthering Heights' will be available from fine digital platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, where Kilguss' latest album 'What Do Whales Dream About at Night?' can also be found.

DEKO ENTERTAINMENT PRESENTS THE 2TRAX SESSIONS, A VERY HONEST SNEAK PEEK INTO THE CREATIVE MUSICAL PROCESS

FIRST STOP IS "COLUMBIA” (AVENUE) FEATURING MEMBERS OF TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA AND ANGEL.

Some of the best music comes when accomplished musicians combine their talents in an effort to create something new and different. At Deko’s 2Trax Studio that is exactly what is happening. Starting December 2, 2022, a new song featuring a combination of Deko artists and special guests will be released under the title the 2Trax Sessions. Those sessions will continue with a new song released at six - eight week intervals. Each song will have a story or narrative, and the creative process will be shared with the audience through a variety of interviews, videos, and social media interactions. Get personal perspectives from each musician as they describe how they approached their contribution and how they feel about the collective result.

View BTS video here:

First up, a song named “Columbia” is a shout-out to a blue-collar street in New Jersey. For each artist involved, we find out it reminds them of their own small pieces of Americana. Columbia Avenue is a place many of us can relate to, and as the song says, it’s often too short a road. Featuring the combined talents of vocalist Joe Cerisano (Trans-Siberian Orchestra), backing vocalist Lisa Gee (independent artist), guitarist Frank Perrego (2Trax Sessions musician), keyboardist Charlie Calv (Angel), drummer Billy Orrico (Angel), bassist Eric Plotkin (2Trax Sessions musician), percussionist Julian Calv (professional busker), and songwriter/guitarist/keyboardist Bruce Pucciarello, “Columbia” is a great example of a simple song that grew exponentially by giving free rein to talented people’s creativity. Cerisano’s powerful lead vocal and Gee’s moody vocal support create a texture. Charlie Calv’s intricate production, the keyboards, the guitars, the percussion, Plotkin’s bass, and Orrico’s exceptional drum lines combine to launch the 2Trax Sessions with a first offering that sets a very high bar for what’s to come.

Listen here: https://ada.lnk.to/Columbia

Former Trans-Siberian Orchestra vocalist Cerisano states, “I fell in love with the song “Columbia” the moment Bruce [Pucciarello] played it for me. It was the words that got to me first, then the music, all within about 30 seconds. Then instantly I found myself imagining how I would sing it. That was it. I was hooked! It all has to do with feeling and what moves you. It moves me.” Deko president and 2Trax Studio owner Bruce Pucciarello continues, “In general, the 2Trax Sessions are special to Deko, because it represents community, cooperation, and putting artists in a position to succeed.” To commemorate “Columbia”’s release, the guys enlisted Ace Bouchard and his video camera to take you on a trip down Columbia Avenue.

ELECTRIC MOB DROP VIDEO FOR "LOVE CAGE"

ELECTRIC MOB DROP VIDEO FOR "LOVE CAGE"

NEW '2 MAKE U CRY & DANCE' OUT JANUARY 27, 2023

Frontiers Music Srl will release the sophomore album from rock n’ roll juggernauts ELECTRIC MOB, '2 Make U Cry & Dance', on January 27, 2023.

Today the band released another video from the album for the song "Love Cage."

These talented Brazilians stormed on the scene in 2020 with the release of their electrifying (no pun intended) debut album 'Discharge', wowing listeners with their modern take on classic bluesy hard rock executed with heartfelt, soulful musicianship and absolutely monstrous vocals.

The follow-up sees the band’s songwriting and musicianship taking a HUGE leap forward. Truly, an all killer, no filler affair, "2 Make U Cry & Dance" is proof positive that high-quality rock 'n roll does not adhere to any geographical borders.

And for those wondering, the album title is a reference to certain lyrics on the album being reflections on the hard times we go through in life while the music is simultaneously high energy and meant to raise the spirits and make you.... well, dance.

Formed in Curitiba, Brazil by Renan Zonta (vocals), Ben Hur Auwarter (guitar), Yuri Elero (bass), and André Leister (drums), Electric Mob caught the attention of Frontiers with their tremendous hard rock songs that show the influence of contemporary hard rock giants while also showing a knowledge of the hard rock pillars of the '70s and '80s.

Electric Mob is comprised of four young, hungry, and extremely talented musicians, with the rock 'n roll attitude to deliver their explosive performances. Like a sonic punch to the face, their songs are a mixture of powerful vocals, mean guitar riffs, and heavy groove with influences from the ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s. There is no doubt that Electric Mob is leading the charge to put Brazil on the rock ‘n roll map.

Get on board the rock n’ roll train!

Due to overwhelming demand, Morgan Wallen announced today the addition of 14 new shows across 13 cities, with back-to-back nights at 10 stadium shows, one of the largest tours of 2023. The man praised by Billboard for making “his superstar arrival as a touring artist” last year will bring his 58-show One Night At A Time World Tour to 26 stadium shows, plus arenas, amphitheaters and festivals to fans across four countries and two continents in his biggest tour yet.

Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour, produced by Live Nation in North America and Frontier Touring for Australia/New Zealand, kicks off overseas March 15-24 with shows in New Zealand and Australia with HARDYbefore returning stateside on April 14 at Milwaukee’s American Family Field with HARDY, hitting New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park with Parker McCollum, before wrapping on Oct. 7 at Tacoma Dome in Washington. ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman will support across all dates, U.S. and internationally.

Wallen named his tour after one-of-three new songs on his recently released One Thing At A Time – Sampler: “One Thing At A Time”; which Billboard noted “teems with shades of ’80s pop” while Country Now applauded its unique sound, stating “[it] takes on a slightly different approach from the other two tracks as it features a bit more buoyancy in its raw melody.” The other two tracks on the sampler include “Tennessee Fan,” paying homage to Wallen’s East Tennessee upbringing; and “Days That End In Why.” All three songs serve as the first taste of what’s to come from his time in the studio and arrive on the heels of his new single at Country radio, “Thought You Should Know,” co-written with Miranda Lambert and Nicolle Galyon, currently sitting Top 20.

As on his Dangerous Tour, $3 of every ticket sold for U.S. dates benefits the Morgan Wallen Foundation which funds causes close to his heart and, to-date, has supported organizations such as Greater Good Music by donating over 500,000 meals-and-counting, to Children Are People, the Salvation Army and National Museum of African American Music.

All tickets for the added dates will be sold through the verified fan sale beginning Wednesday, Dec. 7. Times vary per market. Verified Fans will automatically be rolled into the added dates for the same city they initially requested as the originally announced dates sell out. Fans who registered should keep an eye out for an email Tuesday evening, Dec. 6 with more details. For more information, visit www.morganwallen.com. Morgan Wallen Fan Club pre-sale for Australia and New Zealand shows begins on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

ABOUT MORGAN WALLEN
Hailed by Billboard for making “his superstar arrival as a touring artist” in 2022, Morgan Wallen recently wrapped his record-shattering 55-show Dangerous Tour with his first headlining stadium show at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX, which saw him shattering attendance records previously held by Elton John and Lady Gaga. Now, the CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee who broke records in 30 venues across the country - with the only country tour nominated for Pollstar’s Major Tour of the Year - will embark on a massive world tour in 2023. Spanning 26 stadium shows across 4 countries and 2 continents, plus arenas, amphitheaters and festivals, Wallen’s 58 show 2023 One Night At A Time World Tour will deliver the man The New Yorker dubbed as “the most wanted man in country” to fans worldwide.

With over 12.3 billion on-demand streams and seven chart-toppers at Country radio, the East Tennessean’s latest hit, “You Proof,” became his fastest climbing single to-date, reaching No. 1 after just 14 weeks and remaining at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart for a rare six non-consecutive weeks. His follow-up single “Thought You Should Know,” dedicated to his mother, broke into the top 25 on MediaBase charts after just two weeks, and has been lauded by Outsider as his “most personal track to date.” On the heels of the unparalleled success of his 4x platinum, ACM Album of the Year, Dangerous: The Double Album (Big Loud/Republic Records) – which topped 2021's all-genre Billboard 200 Albums year-end chart and continues to notch historical chart status as Billboard’slongest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist (eclipsing Adele’s 21 and Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA) – Wallen has confirmed he is back in the studio recording new music, recently releasing three-song One Night At A Time – Sampler. The American Music Awards’ Favorite Male Country Artist and Favorite Country Song (“Wasted On You”) winner continues to touch fans’ lives in ways few can; Pollstar noting “[he has] the ability to distill his life in a way that pulls others to him.” Thanks to those very fans, the superstar has raised nearly $3 million dollars for causes close to his heart with $3 from every U.S. ticket sold for each tour benefitting the Morgan Wallen Foundation.

McCollum earned his first-ever No. 1 hit with his Platinum-selling premiere single, “Pretty Heart,” and his follow-up single, “To Be Loved By You,” also hit No. 1 on the charts. “To Be Loved By You” was also the highest first week debut album of 2021. In November of 2021, McCollum made his first late-night TV appearance performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

McCollum has been named an ‘Artist to Watch’ by Rolling Stone, Billboard, SiriusXM, CMT, RIAA, and more with American Songwriter noting, “The Texas native teeters on the edge of next-level superstardom.” MusicRow listed McCollum as their 2021 Breakout Artist of the Year and Apple also included him as one of their all-genre "Up Next Artists" Class of 2021. McCollum also won his first CMT “Breakthrough Video of the Year” award, a fully fan-voted honor, in April 2022.

ABOUT ERNEST
Nashville’s most unpredictable hitmaker ERNEST is “The Charmer” (MusicRow), a triple threat talent and one of Music City’s on the rise artist/writers that’s changing the status quo. A 2022 Variety Hitmaker, the chart-topping songwriter fuses influences ranging from Eminem to George Jones, creating a twist-heavy verse style that’s become his signature, proving its mettle and earning him seven #1 hits to date. The eccentric free spirit and 2022 CMA Triple Play Award winner released his debut full-length album Flower Shops (The Album) in March, named one of Holler and The Tennessean's best albums of 2022 and showcasing the more classically country side of his craft. Nashville's “busiest – and most consistently successful – creative force” (Tennessean) just wrapped his first-ever sold-out headlining Sucker For Small Towns Tour, spanning college towns nationwide.

ABOUT BAILEY ZIMMERMAN
Establishing himself as one of music’s most exciting new voices, Bailey Zimmerman has arrived at the cusp of superstardom with the 2022 release of his debut EP, Leave The Light On – the biggest streaming country debut of all time and the most-streamed all-genre debut of the year. The EP arrived at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and No. 9 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, affording the Louisville, Illinois, native to join Zach Bryan and Luke Combs as the only country artists in 2022 to earn more than one million streams on each of a project’s tracks during release week alone. In 2021 the twenty-two-year-old released his very first song. Now, in just one year’s time, Zimmerman touts nearly 1 billion global streams, has earned his first pair of Platinum singles, notched three entries on the Billboard Hot 100, and sold out his first headline tour within minutes of tickets going on-sale.

A young artist with the rasp of a seasoned rocker and the heart of a sensitive songwriter, Zimmerman strikes a sweet spot between timeless American country, rafter-rattling arena rock, and the kind of authentic storytelling that tugs at the heartstrings with a sense of humor and a whole lot of soul. With more new music on the horizon, featuring the grit and gravel of his unmistakably Southern drawl, Zimmerman will continue to showcase the straightforward authenticity for which he is known and loved.

NE OBLIVISCARIS Unveils First New Song in Over 5 Years from Forthcoming Album, 'Exul'

Progressive metal outfit NE OBLIVISCARIS will be releasing their long-awaited new full-length, 'Exul,' on March 24, 2023! The band is now sharing the haunting new single, "Equus," along with a music video! The video was directed and produced by NE OBLIVISCARIS vocalist Xenoyr and can be seen below.

Regarding the video's powerful yet somber message, the band explains,
"'Equus' is dedicated to the lives lost during the lethal bush fires that scarred Australia in 2019-2020. Alongside the people who died or were affected, many millions, if not billions, of animals were killed or displaced from their natural habitats, the enormity of this is something that will never be forgotten, and should not be ignored. It is also a warning that the world we live in is changing from the damage we as a species have contributed to. Within this video, the dancer represents a scorched Mother Earth, from horror to humanity, ever in tune with the heart and flow of the song (and world), and ultimately aware of the inevitable and ever growing destructive cycle we are in."

Drum tracking for Exul, the fourth long-player from Australian extreme progressive metallers NE OBLIVISCARIS, started in March 2020. There is an ominous tone to that date: March 2020. The pandemic demarcation line. That month, Daniel Presland laid down his drums in Nashville, Tennessee, with American producer Mark Lewis. As flight cancellations increased and borders shuttered, Presland made it home literally hours before Australia closed theirs. Lewis, guitarist Benjamin Baret and bassist Martino Garattoni weren’t as lucky. They were due to land in Australia in the days that followed to continue tracking, but were forced to remain overeseas indefinitely. With recording studios shuttered throughout Melbourne, a slow, tedious, life-altering two-year grind to complete Exul ensued for NE OBLIVISCARIS.

What should have been the continued upward swing after 2017’s critically acclaimed Urn turned into the most fraught moment of NE OBLIVISCARIS’s career. Clean vocalist and violinist Tim Charles says the period “came close to breaking us completely.” It was a time filled with death, relationships breaking down, despair and financial loss. Presland, NE OBLIVISCARIS’s drummer since 2005, amicably parted ways in early 2022, throwing yet another wrench into the band’s plans.

There are, however, happy accidents scattered throughout the creation of Exul. The extra, unexpected downtime allowed the band to fine-tune and even re-write parts previously set in stone before the pandemic. Charles’s violin solo at the end of “Graal” is a prime example: His original idea wasn’t fully realized until he revisited the song in early 2021 and promptly came up with a new part. It was a classic “a-ha” moment that improved the song.

“Getting an opportunity to have a song mostly done for a year or so and then go back to it, find what you loved about it the first time and maybe even improve it in some ways was a nice silver lining from all the delays,” says Charles. “I think because we had so many delays that were out of our control, we were even more determined to take our time to make sure when the time came to record and to mix, that we ensured it was the absolute best it could be in every way.”

Seven additional studios and three more countries later, Exul was finally mixed and mastered in July 2022.

The album personifies NE OBLIVISCARIS’s distinctive, boundary-pushing ethos. The band’s trademark blend of emotion and beauty is as towering as ever, if not even more compelling, particularly how Charles’s violin lines carefully weave their way around Baret and fellow guitarist Matt Klavins’ riffing. The duality of Charles’s clean vocals and Xenoyr’s growls remains the narrative anchor, elevating songs that emanate sophistication and are a masterclass in composition.

“Our approach is always the same,” says Charles, “which is essentially to just write and see what comes out. Exul definitely had its challenges during the songwriting process. Part of the beauty of how our music comes together is that we are quite different individuals bringing an array of ideas together. From there, we work out how to combine them into something that is seamless and beautiful to us. We were determined to make this our best and most complete album yet, which definitely resulted in it taking longer. But we are so proud of this album and it’s exciting to finally share it with the world.”

The album’s centerpiece is the two-part “Misericorde I – As the Flesh Fails” and “Misericorde – Anatomy of Quiescence.” (A NE OBLIVISCARIS album is not complete without a multi-part epic!) According to Charles, Part II began by taking a song they thought was finished (Pt I) and asking, “What if after that…?” The band then wrote a section that took the piece in a new direction and what was a 7 minute song, became an almost 17 minute 2 part epic.

“The bulk of Part I was written more so by Benji and Martino,” notes Charles. “You can hear the very guitar-driven approach present throughout that track. Part II, by contrast, was written more so by myself in collaboration with others and the emphasis changes more towards expansive solos and slow-developing sections that build towards the epic finale. These two tracks are a great example of how it’s the combination of our different strengths as songwriters spread across an album that results in the sound that is 'NE OBLIVISCARIS'.”

Charles’s violin parts, whether on “Misericorde II,” “Equus” or “Suspyre,” exude confidence. The instrument has always been central to the band’s sound. On Exul, Charles’s violin playing is taken to another level. “I think that over the years, in regards to how my violin interacts within NeO’s music, I’ve simply continued to add more strings to my bow, so to speak,” he says. “With ‘Exul,’ I definitely explored even further the use of layers of violin and viola parts to create a more textured feel compared to other albums. ‘Mesericorde II’ was definitely a bit of a breakthrough song for me, where I felt I could utilize the strings in a way that hadn’t been done in NeO’s music before. In the end, whatever serves the song best is always the aim and having more ways of creating music makes it easier to serve the song.”

The Exul album title came to Xen when he was summing up the album’s feeling musically and lyrically. Coincidentally, it matched the experience of most people during the pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. “I think everyone at some point has felt at odds with the world around them, felt alone, cast out, or misunderstood,” says Xen. “Exul felt right to use in a broader sense and as a lone word, for we each have our own history and a story of exile.

“Overall, there’s a darker core to this album, perhaps more ominous than previous releases,” he continues. “However abstract the lyrics are, they involve some form of unwanted departure — all journeys into torment, passion, longing and even despair. They touch on the process of physical and psychological destruction that comes from that sense or reality of being exiled, whether forced from one’s land, ostracised from a community, shunned by a religion, or even simply being treated differently for being who they are.”

Touring will factor heavily into NE OBLIVISCARIS’s 2023 plans. The band will embark on headlining tours worldwide that will hit new territories. As luck would have it, the return to live show activity will coincide with the release of Exul and the band’s 20th anniversary. As one of Australia’s leading extreme metal exports, there is a distinct sense of gratitude from Charles and his bandmates. They’re looking forward to sharing it with fans when they resume touring.

“Simply getting the opportunity to perform music that we’ve written on stages around the world to people that genuinely love and connect with it,” finishes Charles when talking about NE OBLIVISCARIS’s 20-year journey. “There is something incredibly special about the energy that exists between an artist and audience at a concert and it’s an honor to get the opportunity to spend 2023 connecting with people in that way once more.”

IMPERIUM DEKADENZ Present Gloomy New Single “November Monument” + Official Video

New Studio Album,

'Into Sorrow Evermore',

out January 20, 2023 via Napalm Records

Pre-Order NOW!

From the depths of southwestern Germany’s Black Forest, IMPERIUM DEKADENZgathered their strengths from the dark to create their remarkable atmospheric black metal sounds. 'Into Sorrow Evermore', the new album from this sinister unit, will be unleashed on January 20, 2023 via Napalm Records!

Keeping up with the sorrowful reality of existence, the duo addresses themes of depression, death and desperation. With eight new tracks, IMPERIUM DEKADENZ stick to their haunting roots and conquer the upper echelons of the black metal world.

Like the current dreary season, the band captures gloomy feelings in the second single, November Monument. Along with an official music video, it is the picture-perfect illustration for their relentlessly honest words. Steady drums and emotionally charged guitar lines merge with omniscient whispers and angry growls.

Since breaking the scene with their critically acclaimed debut, '...und die Welt ward kalt und leer' in 2006, the band has developed their own ambient sound with a strong emphasis on melodic structuring and raw tunes that are influenced by the second wave of Norwegian black metal without losing its unique trademarks.

IMPERIUM DEKADENZ on November Monument:

November is a monument to death and darkness and yet it also represents the beginning of a new cycle. Travel with us into the dark wings of melancholy and through this season, full of reflection and relinquishment.”

Watch the Official Video for November Monument

On their new album, IMPERIUM DEKADENZ continue their unique journey with dark, ambient sounds, luring the listener into suffocating spheres of black metal. Opener and title track “Into Sorrow Evermore” starts off with classic tremolo-picked black metal guitars and hard-hitting drums, building a gloomy atmosphere with the thrilling sound of vocalist Horaz spurring the album’s immersion.

Truth under Stars” lures with pummeling blast beats accompanied by tragic guitar melodies as deep growls complement them to envelop the signature grim mood of the band. Aurora showcases melancholic pianos, accompanied by trudging drums as icy guitars swoon with a distorted but lush melody, building up to a serene guitar solo that cries its sorrows to the sky.

The influence of various metal genres can be witnessed in songs like “Elysian Fields” and “Awakened Beyond Dreams”, while in between, “Forest in Gale” ensures characteristic style devices in mid-tempo speed, inducing a shift before delivering drama and dynamics.

IMPERIUM DEKADENZ closes the album with “Memories … a Raging River”, rightly encompassing all vicious vibes of the album into one final song. The album’s flow mimics life itself, beginning with high energy that slowly fades into melancholy as it lives on.

IMPERIUM DEKADENZ state:

“In the dark and cold season, in a world that threatens to sink into its rising shadows, our new album ‘Into Sorrow Evermore’ rises from the fog of uncertainty. Melancholic, powerful, poignant, a reflection of the isolation and upheaval of recent years, but also a shadowy dream of what may come. Once again, we are happy to share our world and fill hearts. Into the darkness we strive, guided by our dreams, driven by the relentless time!”

WHO ON EARTH Release Music Video for New Single "The Price"

WHO ON EARTH continue to live by their "Rock's Not Dead" creed, and are back with a new music video for “The Price”! The latest single from the New Jersey rockers (off their debut album, 'Blame') is a hard-driving song, replete with its tasty intro and foot-stomping verses, ultimately setting the table for the powerful chorus delivered by the booming vocals of lead singer Coosh. The track breaks into a musical interlude of thundering war drums, flare-launching guitar shrills, and a solo that narrates the pain of paying the price for “sins of the past.”

Stream "The Price" Here: https://found.ee/theprice

Bassist Pete Rizzi explains, “The Price is a reminder that our actions have consequences, and the past has a way of catching up with us. You can run but you can’t hide.  We can sit idly by or put things off, but eventually, we have to face the music - whether that’s individually or as a society. Who will step up and do something before it’s too late?”

Coosh adds, “This is a no-holds-bar song that immediately grabs you by the shirt and screams in your face 'YOU’VE GOT TO LISTEN TO ME!' Haha. You can whistle past the graveyard for only so long before reality introduces itself, the consequences of our actions, or inaction…the bill comes due!”

Coosh - vocals

Pete Rizzi - bass

Joe D' Aqui - drums

Australian visionary Woods of Desolation returns with The Falling Tide, a bewitching crescendo of atmospheric black metal and post metal elements. Unlike the act’s Australian contemporaries who are known for their raw, unrefined grit, Woods of Desolation takes a different approach, showcasing the genre’s beauty and elegance with their grand melodic passages and radiant aura.

Formed by multi-instrumentalist D. in 2005, the project started as a means for personal expression through music. Firmly built upon this ethos, a series of demo recordings garnered attention and a solid following within underground black metal circles worldwide. Continually evolving and working with different guest musicians in pursuit of new artistic territory, D. began to showcase his talent for crafting melancholic, yet at times uplifting, melodies on the debut album Toward the Depths (2008), further refining it on the Sorh EP (2009) and the influential sophomore full-length Torn Beyond Reason (2011).

In 2014, Woods of Desolation released the critically acclaimed third full-length As the Stars, receiving strong placements on Decibel’s “Top 40 Albums of 2014” and Stereogum’s “50 Best Albums of 2014” list. This album saw D. further introduce a wider array of musical influences, such as post rock and shoegaze, into his unique take on black metal, becoming one of the main protagonists in what would become the burgeoning genre of post black metal. Additionally, lyrical themes were expanded beyond what had come before – nature, life, sorrow – now personally exploring the metaphysical aspects of spirituality and the afterlife.

In the intervening years that followed, D. created and worked on two new black metal projects Remete & Unfelled, simultaneously writing and developing material for the next Woods of Desolation full-length. In 2021, finally ready, D. teamed up with Vlad (Drudkh, Windswept) on drums & keys to record The Falling Tide, the long-awaited follow-up to As the Stars.

This forthcoming album sees the musical palette of D. and WOODS OF DESOLATION continue to grow, exploring higher peaks, deeper depths, all the while maintaining honest artistic expression, unfettered and free – remaining ever faithful to those principles that lead the way all those years ago.

D. – Guitars, Bass, Vocals
Vlad – Drums, Keyboards

In addition to announcing their upcoming headline tour, QUEENSRŸCHE have released a new music video for the track "Sicdeth" off Digital Noise Alliance. Speaking about the song and video, Todd La Torre shares:

"'Sicdeth' is an abstract tale about convicted killers and the fallout of those attached on both sides. How can the victims’ and the assailants’ families overcome such pain? The inmate now has only their mind with which to escape. The song lyrics discretely touch on the very polarizing convicted murderer Jody Arias. The video however was more tailored to the Aileen Wuornos case."

'DIGITAL NOISE ALLIANCE' - Listen Here!

With a career that not only spans, but has charted the course of multiple genres, QUEENSRŸCHE remains a force in their own right. 'Digital Noise Alliance', QUEENSRŸCHE’s 16th studio album continues their ever-evolving legacy.

Once again teaming up with producer Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed), 'Digital Noise Alliance' not only refracts QUEENSRŸCHE’s past accomplishments but also pushes into the band’s future. It is the band effortlessly moving from strength to strength: immediate and thought-provoking.

Quintessentially QUEENSRŸCHE.

Pre-Order NOW!

After six years of silence, XANDRIA are finally back on February 3, 2023, introducing their new lineup with the brand new studio album, 'The Wonders Still Awaiting'!

Today, the pioneers of German symphonic metal release the album’s title track, alongside a captivating official video. The new single combines the impressive vocal range of new singer Ambre Vourvahis and a real choir and orchestra with grandiose, bombastic orchestrations by Lukas Knöbl - known for his work with Hollywood greats like Roland Emmerich. On the new single, the band around mastermind and songwriter Marco Heubaum focus on their strengths and deliver a song perfect for the pre-holiday season.

XANDRIA on the new single:

“As one more taste of our upcoming album 'The Wonders Still Awaiting' (out February 3rd, 2023) we proudly present you the title song of it. We think that together with the songs you´ve heard so far, it gives you a hint of what to expect, and that it will be musically about a lot of powerful and magical atmosphere.

But every song on this album will be its own little universe to explore, its own story and altogether it will be quite a journey of wonders and surprises..."

Watch the Video for The Wonders Still Awaiting

'The Wonders Still Awaiting' marks the first record presenting new vocalist Ambre Vourvahis, Robert Klawonn (guitars), Tim Schwarz (bass) and Dimitrios Gatsios(drums). Presenting 13 songs in total, XANDRIA's sound emerges harder, darker and more epic than ever before, but holds an intimate setting and range of emotions at the same time. Rich in different styles and genres, the massive album resembles that of a blockbuster movie score at each and every turn - sending its listener on an exciting journey to experience a world of sound never heard before in the universe of XANDRIA.

This is further brought to life by a 40-piece classical choir, authentic Celtic instruments performed by renowned musicians, and delicate violin and cello contributions from SUBWAY TO SALLY's Ally Storch. The new record is topped by the Bulgarian National Radio Children’s Choir, which marks the first collaboration of this kind in the band's history, while none other than Lukas Knöbl is responsible for the orchestrations - known for working with Hollywood greats like Roland Emmerich, for example. Each song’s colossal soundscapes and cinematic nature create a story that rapidly unfolds in the listener's imagination.

XANDRIA on 'The Wonders Still Awaiting':

"'The Wonders Still Awaiting' is very diverse and includes many different influences. We had a lot of things - little musical dreams - in our minds and hearts that we wanted to realize, and along with what you already heard in the first two new songs this is just one of them. There will be quite some more surprises coming..."

Pre-Order your copy NOW

The impressive vocal wealth of Ambre Vourvahis - ranging from rock grit, operatic highs and even death metal growls - opens the unit’s sound to a wider palette of colors. Songs like the opening epic “Two Worlds”, The Wonders Still Awaiting and Ghostsmanifest the thematic mood of the album while constructing incredible soundscapes of pure symphonic metal. Two Worlds also sets the record's lyrical concept, dealing with questions of what kind of world we are living in; one in which people deal sensibly with each other and treat it respectfully, or a dystopia dominated by autocrats and controlling technology?

Paradise” showcases some of the album’s strongest hooks, captivating with great metallic pop melodies. The veil of various influences is lifted once more in “Illusion Is Their Name”, dashing all deception with heavy power metal vibes. Tracks like “Your Stories I'll Remember” and “Scars” show the intimate side of XANDRIA on one hand, while combining rhythmic heaviness on the other. The latter is reminiscent of a James Bond theme, dressed in a heavy musical soundscape.

The epic nine minute album closer Astéria, featuring Greek lyrics written by Ambre Vourvahis, lands as the album’s exclamation point, proving with a grand finish that the five-piece has fearlessly started a revolution in the symphonic metal genre - commencing an impressive new era of XANDRIA with 'The Wonders Still Awaiting'.

TRAUMA ANNOUNCE US TOUR WITH QUEENSRŸCHE & MARTY FRIEDMAN

Bay Area thrash metal band Trauma have announced a US tour with prog metal vets Queensrÿche early next year – running from March 3rd through April 16th.

Also on the bill will be guitar shredder Marty Friedman, with Spotify presale and local presale beginning on Wednesday, December 7th at 10am local time (and running until Thursday, December 8th at 10pm local time).

Public sale will begin on Friday, December 9 at 10am local time.

“Everyone in Trauma is thankful for the opportunity to be touring all across the US with Queensrÿche on their ‘Digital Alliance’ tour,” says the band in a statement. “Trauma is very excited to be a part of this tour.”

Trauma’s latest album ‘Awakening,’ was issued this past September via Massacre Records, and can be ordered or listened to via this link: https://lnk.to/Trauma-awakening

And the metal community has offered praise for ‘Awakening,’ including Markus' Heavy Music Blog saying, “‘Awakening’ convinces with power and enthusiasm,” Metal Temple adding, “The thrash they play is pure, the voice clean and the production sound,” and the This Day In Metal site stating, “It’s clear to see from their grand return after a 30 year silence that they are still very much so a driving force within the thrash metal scene and “Awakening” is the gateway to the thrashy glory they have always deserved.”

“Trauma is very pleased with the current reaction from fans, journalists and many others in the music business with the current release of our 4th studio album, ‘Awakening’,” says the band. “The release has received many stellar reviews, and write ups from around the world. We are hopeful to gain some new fans along the journey and look forward to possibly touring in Europe, and many other places soon.”

Originally formed in 1981 in San Francisco, Trauma was one of the first heavy metal bands – along with Exodus, Metallica, and Testament – to trailblaze the style now known as “thrash.” And the thrash metal band’s original bassist was none other than the late/legendary Cliff Burton (who would later join Metallica). 1984 saw the release of the group’s debut album, ‘Scratch and Scream,’ before the band parted in 1985. But in 2013, Trauma reunited, and have been back in business ever since.

The group’s current line-up consists of singer Brian Allen (who replaced original vocalist Donny Hillier, who sadly passed away in 2020), Steve Robello (guitar), Joe Fraulob (guitar), Michael Spencer (bass), and Kris Gustofson (drums). – and soon, will be rocking the metal masses on their US tour with Queensrÿche and Marty Friedman.

BLACK MARKET KARMA team with RUARI MEEHAN on ‘Aping Flair', previewing 'Friends In Noise' LP

UK artist Black Market Karma and Ruari Meehan (Belakiss, Tess Parks & Anton Newcombe) present 'Aping Flair', the second single from the band's eleventh full-length album 'Friends In Noise'. An international collaboration rooted in friendship and spontaneity, the record will be released in mid-January via London boutique label Flower Power Records.

Hailing from London and now residing on the South coast of England, Black Market Karma revolves around songwriter Stanley Belton. Last month, he released the first single 'The Sky Was All Diseased', with iconic vocalist Tess Parks.

Ruari Meehan plays with Tess Parks' band and contributed to her album with Anton Newcombe. He is also known as vocalist and guitarist of Belakiss, formed with Tatia Starkey (granddaughter of Ringo Starr). Apart from touring with Kasabian, they saw huge success in Japan, reaching number 1 in the international airplay chart with their hit ‘Only You’ and charting high in the official Japanese charts for several releases. Ruari is also a professional photographer and the son of Tony Meehan, drummer for iconic 60's band The Shadows and a producer).

"The very first incarnation of this song came to life during a somewhat inebriated jam between Ruari Meehan and myself at my old studio. I threw a mic up quickly in the middle of the room just to capture the general essence of it for future reference. We were amped about the tune but life happened and for whatever reason it got shelved. I stumbled across it again years later and a vocal melody and lyrics came to me, real easy. It felt right so I got in touch with Ruari, he came to my studio and we got it down," says Stanley Belton.

"As for the lyrics, you know those kind of people who enter a room, switch on their clout radar, scan for fame and then proceed to charm that person as hard as they can to further their career, while simultaneously dismissing anyone who they think doesn't need to be bothered with? They're about those kind of people".

Black Market Karma offers a colourful carousel of jingle jangle and distorted wobble. With broader flavours of psychedelia, fuzzed out tones and thumping grooves, their thick and colourful sound is shaped by the use of a lot of vintage equipment. Rooted in 60's guitar and pop music, other influences include folk, blues, lo-fi electronica, alt pop and soul.

Technically nine years in the making, 'Friends In Noise' is a series of collaborations between Black Market Karma and friends. Apart from Tess Parks, this album also involves The Underground Youth, Les Big Byrd / Joakim Ahlund, The Confederate Dead and Ruari Meehan. More recently, Stan has also been collaborating with Pete Kember (a.k.a. Sonic Boom) of Spacemen 3 fame on a forthcoming release.

Earlier this year, the band released the ‘Aped Flair & Hijacked Ideas' LP, a loaded 11-track offering with a fluid texture of beach-soaked instrumentation. Themes ranging from the sycophantic circles that leach from the arts, desperately attempts to stay spiritually close to a distant love, Japanese folklore, and the deep connection between man and beast.

As of December 6, 'Aping Flair' will be available everywhere digitally, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. The full 'Friends In Noise' album (out January 13) can be ordered on 180-gram coloured vinyl from the label, as can their latest 'Aped Flair & Hijacked Ideas' LP.

Kenny's HERE AND NOW Is BILLBOARD'S #1 Country Tour

Kenny Chesney couldn’t believe it had been four years since he and his band stood on America’s NFL stadium stages – and rocked No Shoes Nation for everything they were worth. After three postponements, a name and line-up change and in many cases over 1,000 days, the man the Wall Street Journal called “the King of the Road” and his Here And Now 2022 Tour is Billboard’s No. 1 Country Tour. Like 2018’s last true full-on tour – the 19-stadium, 42-date Trip Around The Sun – Here And Now played to 1.3 million fans, making him to the top country touring act in the nation.

“You don’t think about this stuff,” Chesney says, “just the way it feels to be back out there with the fans! As good as No Shoes Nation is, and they’re the best, this year they took that heart and passion and brought it up six levels. Suddenly, me and my team were looking for ways to open up seats, move the stage back, create cleaner sight lines, so we could get every single person who wanted to be there into the venues.

“It’s a crazy thing to play a show when you’re backed up to the edge of the back end of the end zone,” marvels the eight-time Entertainer of the Year. “But you have this blast of energy coming from the people, hitting that, mixing with the band and that massive sound system and creating a whole other thing that we’re trying to throw back out to them. It was, in a word, insane!”

Chesney’s longtime manager Clint Higham told Billboard for “The Year In Touring Issue” that posted Dec. 6, “The people of No Shoes Nation are such intense fans, the being together after four years created its own energy and momentum. We found ourselves adding seats in so many markets trying to meet the demand because whether it was the people who’d held their tickets for over 1,000 days in many cases or the people buying those new tickets who felt the buzz and wanted to be there, it was a whole new level of demand based on what Kenny gives people.”

With his just announced I Go Back 2023 Tour – designed to bring the euphoria of Chesney’s live shows to those markets he started out in – almost sold out, the power of the musician from East Tennessee’s relationship with No Shoes Nation may be stronger than ever. By keeping the focus on those who find their life in his songs, the songwriter/superstar maintains one of the most passionate relationships in Country music.

“When we hit pause on our 2020 tour, I never thought we would go much past the fall, let alone into 2021,” muses the only country act in Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years for the past 14 years. “The idea it would be 2022? That it would be four years was unthinkable. Yet, here we are, and it feels better than it ever has. So, for everyone who came out and helped make this Country’s No. 1 tour, this is all about you and how much we love you and what you bring us every time we set up and play where you are.”

For Chesney, who’s become the sound of coming of age in the heartland for the 21st Century, moments like this have come to define a career that created a new dynamic for modern Country music. With the full-tilt energy of his live shows and songs that reflected a new aesthetic for country fans across the nation, Chesney has set a standard that he continues to maintain.

As with 'Suburbia', drummer/songwriter Freddie Allen and vocalist Alex Falk are once again joined by guitarist Oscar Bromvall and new bassist Rickard Gramfors for the 'Cover Me' EP.

The quartet's musical prowess displayed on that album is perfectly suited to tackle the four artists and tracks on this EP. The songs were also picked specifically for having connections to the overall theme of the band's second album: the world where the band grew up and where they first got in touch with hard rock music, horror films on VHS, 80's teen culture, and all else that shaped them - the suburbs. And also because, quite simply, the band loves the songs.

Like 'Suburbia', 'Cover Me' was produced and mixed by multi-talented musician and producer Lars Fredrik Swahn (Dungen, The Amazing) and co-produced by Allen.

FANS OF THE DARK is an exciting new band formed in the summer of 2020 by Freddie Allen, drummer and main songwriter, and lead vocalist Alex Falk. The pair went to high school together in Stockholm and after a few years reconnected recently with a vision to create a band which would mix the melodies and approach of classic and melodic rock with elements of the great metal music of the '80s.

Their musical output over the course of their first two albums is one of the most exciting things you'll hear emerging from the fruitful melodic rock in Sweden, showcasing a tight, inventive musical approach with outstanding vocals.

FANS OF THE DARK are:

Alex Falk - vocals

Oscar Bromvall - guitars

Rickard Gramfors - bass

Freddie Allen - drums
