Singer/Songwriter Shea Taback Releases New Single “Home” for Valentine's Day!

Shea Taback, a rising star in the music scene, has officially released her debut single, "HOME,"just in time for Valentine's Day. The song, a poignant exploration of heartbreak and resilience, offers a unique perspective on relationships, contrasting the commonly celebrated theme of finding one's "home" with the harsh reality of betrayal and moving on.

In a candid statement, Shea Taback shared her inspiration behind the song: "I constantly hear love songs about what it’s like to find your 'home,' or, in other words, your person. But I wanted to make a song that people could really relate to—a song that’s about being betrayed by someone you thought was your person. More or less, what it’s like to get out of a trapped relationship and move on to another toxic one."

Shea Taback's musical journey began at an early age, having been immersed in the world of music since birth. Watching her father Joe Taback (Breaking in a Sequence), perform on stage as a baby, she quickly developed a passion for the art form. By the time she could form a sentence, Shea was already gracing small stages around Orange County, captivating audiences with her covers.

Her music is deeply rooted in personal experiences, reflecting a genuine desire to connect with her audience. With overwhelming support from her parents, Shea never wavered in pursuing her dreams, making music an integral part of her life.

"HOME" is a testament to Shea Taback's artistry and emotional depth as a songwriter. The single is now available on all major streaming platforms, offering listeners a heartfelt and relatable musical experience.

Merseyside dreampop trio 22 OCEANS team up with Stonepillow charity. All proceeds from new 'Home' EP to aid the homeless

"A personal, introspective song with gracious vocals, grounded in sparse music terrain - most inviting and endearing" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"Wonderful slice of ambient atmospherics... calming and elegiac" ~ With Just a Hint of Mayhem

"Highly melodic... charismatic vocals and sweet vocal harmonies" ~ Loud Sounds 8

"Captivating... Home floats on dreampop clouds, whilst drifting towards ambient-pop. Through the pensive lyrics, and sparse soundscape, Home takes you to a reverie retreat, a place of reflection, that uplifts and lingers with a haunting beauty" ~ The Manc Review

British indiepop trio 22 Oceans has announced their partnership with British charity Stonepillow, donating all proceeds from Bandcamp sales - both for digital downloads and CDs - of their new 'Home' EP.

Stonepillow empower homeless and vulnerable people towards achieving sustainable independence and wellbeing. Providing support year-round across Chichester and Arun, they aid the homeless, facilitating a complete recovery journey focused on improving health and wellbeing, and moving towards sustainable independence. Partnering with other agencies across West Sussex, they provide essential support for at-risk people, including safe, secure, high-quality accommodation, as well as mental health support, recovery and wellbeing, and provision of fresh food and essential provisions.

Based in Merseyside, 22 Oceans is the brainchild of Mike Guy. Originally a solo project, 22 Oceans has blossomed into a fruitful trio, graced by the vocal and songwriting talents of twin sisters Carys and Keeley Hughes, whose stellar tandem of vocal harmonies complement a backdrop of lush, layered sounds.

"People who don’t have stable living conditions are always longing for a place to call home, and I thought that music would be a good way to spread awareness to this subject. With homelessness, more people are waiting to feel happy with where they choose to sleep at night, and ‘Home’ was influenced by this topic. I hope that it gives people an idea about how important It is to have a secure environment to return to at the end of the day, and how vital it is for people to have a place to go where they can feel safe and protected," says Carys Hughes.

Their new 5-track 'Home' EP was released via 72rpm Records and mastered by renowned producer Marc Joy (Primal Scream, Mike Peters, Oasis, Bernard Butler, Golden Fable, Louise Trehy) at Ferndale Studios in Wales.

Since emerging on the indie music scene in 2020, 22 Oceans has been presenting a steady string of new music. While influenced by 80’s influenced synthpop, their new single brings this artist into new territory while retaining their trademark ethereal vocals.

Earlier, 22 Oceans released the singles 'Drifting' and 'Broken' feat. Jo Madden. The early 2020 'Butterfly Candy' EP saw Mike Guy collaborate with Wales-based dreampop artist Lights That Change, while the subsequent 'Paradise' EP featured Liverpool vocalist Rachael Dunn and also involved Orchestral Manoeuvres In the Dark (OMD) co-founder and drummer Malcolm Holmes.

"The song is rooted in the feeling of happiness you feel when thinking about the memories you’ve made with people you enjoy spending time with. It is a reflection of how we are always connected to those we love, no matter how much time may have passed," says Mike Guy.

'Home' is out now, available as a single across online stores and streaming platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify. The trio is also offering 'Home' as a full 5-track EP, available both digitally and on CD exclusively via Bandcamp.

VRSTY Drop New Song "Soul" — LISTEN // Release Date Moves to 2022

SONG APPEARS ON NEW ALBUM WELCOME HOME NOW OUT JANUARY 21 VIA SPINEFARM

New York City-based collective VRSTY (pronounced "Varsity") — Joey Varela [vocals], Javy Dorrejo [bass], Chris Cody [drums], and Paul Gregory [guitar] — have shared the new song "Soul." And it's another banger that blends different styles and hopscotches across genres and results in a completely fresh style all its own. The song track, well, plenty of "Soul."

Listen to the song, which is built on galloping, western-style nuances, and urgent percussion, topped off by Varela's smooth vocals, below.

"I love this song so much," comments Varela. "It's funny because this song was written way before the idea of a record was a thing and even before Spinefarm came along. This song came from a dream I had where I sold my soul to the devil and I heard the song playing in my head as I was dreaming."

He continues, "I woke up and wrote it, and it ended up becoming my favorite thing ever. It was also the first song I shared when I started putting together the record and it was the one everybody instantly fell in love with. In a weird way it's like this song is its own person and it sucks everyone in."

The song will appear on VRSTY's new album Welcome Home, out January 21 via Spinefarm. Pre-order it here. Please note the release date has changed.

Welcome Home is the band's debut full length for the label and follows last year's breakthrough Cloud City EP, which has accumulated six million streams in less than a year and yielded the head-turning singles "Shameless" and "Massive." The latter was the most played on SiriusXM's Octane for two weeks in a row in late 2020. VRSTY have perfected their seamless and fearless cross-pollination of metallic grooves and R&B-influenced, after midnight vocal swagger on this 14-track offering. VRSTY aren't just offering their own take on a genre; they have authored a fusion style that is entirely their own.

"Welcome Home is an incredibly personal album to me," Varela shares. "I know everybody says that, and hey, maybe they're not lying when they do. I sure as hell am not. It was definitely a task, at first, trying to figure out how to phrase or sing something without getting too personal. But somewhere along the way, I threw that idea out the window and decided to say exactly what I felt. You won't find me trying to sound cool or using any fancy wordplay. It's just me in my rawest form, saying exactly what I've felt or experienced over the years, which is what has made me who I am today. I think if anybody ever wants to get to know me, this record will give you everything you need to know. No secrets. Just me."

SIAMESE Release Music Video for "Sloboda" - New Album 'Home' Coming December 10th

With their new album, 'Home', only a few weeks away, Copenhagen’s SIAMESE have unleashed one of their most poignant songs to date. Entitled "Sloboda", the track speaks to frontman Mirza Radonjica’s personal experience in the wake of seeking refuge from the Balkan War with his family.

The track is a mixture of Serbian (his mother tongue) and English lyrics, and unleashes monstrous breakdowns alongside mesmerizing vocals. A captivating single with a deeper meaning.

Radonjica elaborates on his experiences which influenced the lyrical content and themes within the song:

"I'm a Muslim refugee of the Nineties Balkan war and one of the first very dramatic things I remember is my whole village standing on the side of the road and crying as they waved us goodbye. We were supposed to go to Sweden but ended up in Denmark because, to be honest, we couldn’t tell the difference.” He goes on to tell us about where the title of the song came from, “I saw my Aunties and Grandmother cry, and I asked my Mum why we had to leave, she told me, “Freedom, son” (sloboda, sine). Little did I know how that freedom would be so bittersweet later on. Living in Denmark, it was difficult to adapt, and throughout my youth I saw how I was looked at differently, even if I was trying hard to be the same. Everything truly comes with a price."

Having recently finished their UK tour with Rain City Drive (prev. Slaves USA) the band received an overwhelming response from fans across all dates. Their profile is constantly growing and they currently have over 250,000 monthly listeners worldwide on Spotify, recently racked up over 1 million streams on the platform in just 4 weeks (their biggest numbers to date).

SIAMESE's highly anticipated new album 'Home' is due for release on December 10th, 2021 via Long Branch Records, featuring hit singles "Enough Ain’t Enough" (feat. Rory Rodriguez), "Can’t Force The Love", "Holy", and the title track "Home" (feat. Drew York).

SIAMESE Release New Single "Numb" - New Album 'Home' Coming December 10th

Copenhagen’s SIAMESE are back with another infectious single from their long-awaited new album 'Home'.

"Numb" encompasses all of the elements that Siamese are renowned for; a soaring melodic chorus alongside thundering breakdowns, with a sprinkling of synths and electro-beats for good measure. Truly masters in their craft, they continue to create hit after hit, and are quickly becoming one of Denmark's hottest new exports in the music scene.

SIAMESE singer Mirza Radonjica about their new single "Numb":

"'Numb' is another product of sitting at home and watching the pandemic unfold. A scary realization that nothing seemed to affect or scare me anymore. Millions of people have died during covid, but my biggest concern was whether or not I could go to a restaurant. Not to point fingers at anyone else but myself. The bombardment of bad news truly left me numb. We had to write it down cause I believe I am not alone in my guilty conciseness, and the inner war with myself about this."

With incredible reactions from influential rock media and DSP playlist tastemakers, over 35 million streams worldwide, and a number of tours and live dates in the pipeline, the band has no intention of slowing down anytime soon

German indie three-piece KOJ share their new single "Human Love" along with a music video. It's the fifth and final single from the bands Long Branch Records label debut album "HOME" coming August 21st, 2020.

Stream "Human Love" here > https://koj.lnk.to/home

KOJ comments on new single "Human Love":

"Imagine you were a person on a spaceship, all by yourself for years, floating in deep space. You would feel the longing for human love, for someone to say your name out loud. How does it feel to be so lonely, to feel so detached from everything that makes us human? How does it feel to know that you will never feel that connection again? Human Love is a reflection on modern society on life happening on screens and on losing connection to reality.

Human Love was the final track that we recorded for our new album HOME on the last days in the studio. Writing this song was a tour de force. With all the expectations that built up for HOME, we wanted to finish the album as intentionally as we opened it with Stars. Human Love wraps up the message of the album beautifully by emphasizing that, to move forward, we need real human connection."

German indie band KOJ share a strong common musical vision in addition to their roots as a family. As a closely interwoven trio they create dark, emotional soundscapes that captivate the listener. KOJ are children of the 90s and love the rock music of that time, which is reflected in the raw emotionality of their songs. KOJ wrap their musical essence in minimalistic and fine sound garments, which remind of triphop in some places and let the feeling lead the listener. The band shows itself sometimes unbending, sometimes fragile, sometimes self-confident. KOJ don't gloss over their songs, they are raw and to the point. In countless songwriting and recording sessions KOJ have worked on their sound world and created their musical home together with engineer and producer Beray Habip. An intimate and personal image of the soul life of three people has been created in the process. KOJ want to understand where they come from, where they are going and how they can exist in this world.

KOJ SHARE NEW SINGLE "PAMELA"

Album "HOME" coming August 21st, 2020

German indie three-piece KOJ share their new single "Pamela" along with a music video. It's the fourth single from the bands Long Branch Records label debut album "HOME" coming August 21st, 2020. "Pamela" is heavily influenced by the aesthetic of movies like Drive or Blade Runner and has that very smooth vibe, which makes it the perfect track for late-night driving. The song talks about all of the contradictions that we find ourselves in as humans. We try to fix what's not perfect, put on that make-up, try to fit the mold, manufacture a picture of ourselves designed for the perception of others. However, there is that feeling that all of these outward factors are irrelevant because they are not who we are. "I don’t feel right here in the light, ‘cause I do belong here with the night", essentially wants to say that you are not made up by all the shiny things on the outside, but more importantly by all the little things that we try to keep in the dark too often.

Stream "Pamela" here > https://koj.lnk.to/home

Pre-order the album here > https://koj.lnk.to/home

KOJ comments on new single "Pamela":

"Pamela is named, yet again, after a famous actress. What started out as an inside joke actually made a lot of sense when looking at the theme of the song and so Pamela was born. The way in which society portrayed, or to this date portrays, women in TV and film or in society in general was and still is at times highly sexualized and objectifying. Women are supposed to be pretty, desirable or of a certain body type. We all play many different roles in our lives. We pretend to be someone, that we really aren’t or don’t want to be anymore. The song wants to encourage each and every one of us to be braver in showing ourselves in a way that feels authentic to us, even if it's not what others expect of us.

Songwriting for Pamela was initiated by listening to old jamming material on our hard drive together with our producer and engineer Beray Habip. We got hooked on a synth harmonization on one of the jams and made this the foundation of Pamela."
