OPUS Announces New Solo Acoustic-Rock Single + Video “Slip Away” Ahead of Full-Length Album Purging the Demons

Dead By Wednesday, Zetro, Ellefson, Earth & Gang Green drummer unveils deeply personal solo project rooted in raw performance, heartbreak, family, and authenticity

OPUS, the powerhouse drummer known for his work with Dead By Wednesday, Zetro, Ellefson, Earth and Gang Green, releases his new solo acoustic-rock single “Slip Away” today across all major streaming platforms. The accompanying official music video, directed by Sal DelGreco, is also available now.

“Slip Away” offers the first taste of OPUS’ forthcoming full-length solo album, Purging the Demons, arriving November 6, 2026.

A deeply personal collection born from one of the most difficult periods of OPUS’ life, Purging the Demons explores loss, love, heartbreak, anger, stress, and the challenge of maintaining family connections through separation. Rather than hiding behind polished production or studio perfection, OPUS embraces the rawness of the performances and the emotions that inspired them.

“In a world obsessed with perfection, Purging the Demons is my reminder that truth lives in the cracks," says OPUS.

The album represents a deliberate return to an old-school approach to recording. OPUS wrote, recorded, and performed 99% of the instruments on the record, with the songs captured without vocal tuning, quantizing, or drum replacements. The imperfections are part of the point leaving the human element intact and allowing the performances to speak for themselves.

Purging the Demons was written over the course of approximately a year and a half during a long, dark, and challenging period in OPUS’ personal life. The resulting songs transform those experiences into an honest and unfiltered musical statement.

All songs on Purging the Demons were mixed by Max Scialdone, who worked with OPUS throughout the project to preserve the raw character and emotion of the recordings while bringing the album to its final form.

At a time when music is increasingly shaped by digital processing, algorithms, filters, and artificial perfection, Purging the Demons takes the opposite approach. It is a record about being human, messy, emotional, imperfect, and real.

With “Slip Away,” OPUS opens the door to a solo album that isn't about hiding the cracks. It's about embracing them.

Scary Kids Scaring Kids Welcome Albert Schweizer as Official Lead Vocalist Colton "Coba" Westerman on Bass & Vocals Unveil New Video "Something In The Water"

After more than three and a half years with Albert Schweizer helming the band on lead vocals, Scary Kids Scaring Kids is proud to announce Albert as the band’s official lead vocalist, marking the first time in more than a decade that Scary Kids Scaring Kids has moved forward with a permanent vocalist.

Albert will front the band both live and on all future releases, beginning with the band’s new single, “Something in the Water,” out now, and their forthcoming record, "RISE".

For the past several years, Scary Kids Scaring Kids embraced collaboration with different vocalists while continuing to create new music. Releases including "Out of Light" and "Maps Written in Water" remain an important part of the band’s story and evolution. This next chapter isn't about erasing or recreating any era of Scary Kids Scaring Kids. It represents a unified lineup, a shared creative identity, and a clear direction for where the band goes next.

“We never wanted to force this. Albert has been a huge part of this band for years, on and off stage. This feels less like making a change and more like acknowledging what’s been true to us for a long time now,” said Pouyan Afkary and Chad Crawford in a joint statement.

The band is also proud to announce that Colton “Coba” Westerman has officially joined Scary Kids Scaring Kids as a full member on bass and vocals.

Both Albert and Coba have been heavily involved in shaping this next chapter beyond their roles as performers, contributing to the songwriting, arrangements, and overall creative direction of the new material. As permanent members of Scary Kids Scaring Kids, they aren't simply stepping into existing roles. They're helping define what the band becomes moving forward.

Today’s announcement coincides with the release of “Something in the Water,” the first single from the band’s upcoming record, "RISE", and the first release to fully represent this lineup. The band describes the new material as its heaviest work to date, while retaining the emotion and dynamics that have long been central to Scary Kids Scaring Kids.

For longtime fans, "RISE" isn't an attempt to replace the band's history. It's a continuation of it. For listeners discovering Scary Kids Scaring Kids today, the band wants the new music to stand on its own without requiring twenty years of history to understand what Scary Kids Scaring Kids is now or where it's going.

Joining the band on "RISE" and as touring members are Josh Kikta on guitar and Kash Jaeger on drums.

For the first time in more than a decade, Scary Kids Scaring Kids has a permanent voice for its future.

Now comes RISE.

The forthcoming record introduces a newly unified Scary Kids Scaring Kids at its heaviest and with a renewed sense of creative purpose. After more than three and a half years fronting the band live, Albert Schweizer becomes its official lead vocalist onstage and on record, while Colton “Coba” Westerman joins as an official member on bass and vocals. They join founding members Chad Crawford on guitar and Pouyan Afkary on keys and keytar.Touring members Josh Kikta on guitar and Kash Jaeger on drums also joined the writing sessions for RISE and contribute both to the new record and the band’s live lineup.

For a band built on relationships as much as musicianship, that evolution matters. Scary Kids has always depended on chemistry, trust, and a shared creative instinct that extends beyond simply filling a role.

RISE is the first Scary Kids record created with this lineup and identity at its core.

It is also among the heaviest music the band has ever made.

Rather than attempting to recreate a particular era, Scary Kids is drawing from the same creative instinct that shaped its earliest work: pushing melody, aggression, atmosphere and dynamics until the music feels both unmistakably Scary Kids and entirely of the moment.

RISE represents the most complete expression yet of what Scary Kids Scaring Kids has become: a newly unified band with renewed chemistry, a clear sense of purpose, and some of the heaviest music of its career.

PAUL LAINE Releases New Album 'The Long Road Back' — Out Now via Frontiers Music Srl

Today, renowned Canadian singer PAUL LAINE proudly releases his new studio album, ‘The Long Road Back,’ out now via Frontiers Music Srl. To celebrate, the new track “Someday,” along with an official video, is available now.

Laine comments:

“With the music video for ‘Someday,’ the producer and I wanted to create something that celebrates the many beautiful forms of love that connect us as human beings. From the unconditional love we share with family and friends, to the bond we have with our animals, and the simple acts of kindness, compassion, and connection we show one another every day, the video is a reminder that love is all around us. In a world that can sometimes feel divided, ‘Someday’ is my small contribution to the idea that love, in all its forms, is what ultimately brings us together.”

Watch the Official Video for "Someday" Below

A masterclass in melodic rock, PAUL LAINE’s new album delivers soaring hooks, heartfelt ballads, and arena-ready anthems that traverse the full spectrum of the genre. From the driving energy of “Love Me Or Leave Me” to the intimate vulnerability of “Someday” (co-written with Andrew Oye), every track is meticulously crafted, showcasing LAINE’s signature vocal power and melodic sensibility. “Don’t Let Me Go Tonite” comes alive with a striking video that complements its infectious energy.

LAINE states:

“Ever since I released my first solo album, I've wondered when I'd finally have the chance to make a follow-up. Life - and music - have a way of taking you places you never expect. Looking back, every chapter of my career has led me down a different road, and each one has shaped me as both a songwriter and a person.”

“I've been incredibly fortunate to make records with Danger Danger, Darkhorse, The Defiants, Shugaazer, and Jetset Junkies. Every one of those experiences taught me something and gave me memories I'll always carry with me. But somewhere in the back of my mind, I always knew the road would eventually lead me home - to where it all started. Just a kid with a guitar, trying to make sense of love, life, loss, hope, and everything in between through songs,” he added.

"‘The Long Road Back’ is exactly that. It's a musical journey back to my roots, but it's also a reflection of every mile I've travelled to get here. Every song carries a piece of the life I've lived, the people I've met, and the lessons I've learned along the way. In many ways, this record feels like coming full circle. After all these years, I'm grateful to finally share this chapter with everyone who's been waiting for it. I hope these songs find a place in your story, just as they've become part of mine,” LAINE concluded.

Joining LAINE in the studio are longtime collaborators Bruno Ravel (his bandmate in The Defiants and also in Danger Danger - bass, producer), Scotty “Hooch” Taylor (drums), and Andrew Oye (lead guitar), with production handled by LAINE and Ravel. The album features standout singles like “Love Me Or Leave Me,” the video-driven “Don’t Let Me Go Tonite,” and the heartfelt “Someday.”

Musically, the record touches every corner of melodic rock. Yet, the songs sound like they’re coming from the classic era when Bon Jovi dominated the airwaves - both in LAINE’s soaring vocals and in the anthemic, hook-laden songwriting. This is an album for fans who crave big choruses, passionate performances, and the kind of timeless melodic rock that only PAUL LAINE can deliver.

Save Us Share "Last of Me" Video — WATCH

Transcontinental trio SAVE US — Miguel Owls [vocals], Chris Biddiscombe[guitar], and Benji Havercroft [drums] — will release their new album Death To Something on October 16 via Solid State Records. Pre-order the album, produced by Landon Tewers, here.

They have shared the video for "Last of Me." Watch it below.

It's a lush, vocal-forward track that cycles masterfully through a course of quiet-loud dynamics. Strap yourself in; this one's an emotional thrill ride that will connect with fans of Deftones, Loathe, and Dayseeker.

"'Last of Me' was an emotional challenge for me," explains Owls. "I had so much I wanted to say, but I really pushed to keep it clear and honest without feeling wordy or cheesy. It's about finally breaking free from a toxic relationship and recognizing the grip it had on you for so long. There’s a lot of weight behind that realization, but also a sense of release. I truly hope this song helps people find the strength to let go, move forward, and start healing."

The origin story of SAVE US and how the globally-based band came together is quite simple. Back in 2023, Owls was regularly posting covers on social media and quietly cultivating a following online. Hailing from the Central Valley of California, he never expected to find his future bandmates in his DMs. Bristol, UK-based Biddiscombe stumbled upon one of the vocalist's Architects covers and sent a message on TikTok. Clicking right away, they commenced creating music (despite over 5,000 miles between them). Due to a factory day job from 1pm-9:30pm, Owls typically woke up at 5am in order to write with Chris and Benji before work. Prior to meeting in-person, the trio had remotely recorded a few tracks. Eventually, the singer crossed the pond to shoot the visual for "Distance" from their LUCID EP. Reacting with listeners, the track clocked north of 2.6 million Spotify streams. The group maintained their momentum with 2024's EXIST EP. A year later, they inked a deal with Solid State and decamped to Michigan where they recorded with sought-after producer and The Plot In You mastermind Landon Tewers.

Ultimately, the band's name reflects their shared experience.

"Chris and Benji were both ready to stop doing music," Owls reveals. "I was in the same boat. We were all on the edge of letting our dreams go. Out of nowhere, we found each other, went all the way in together, and the band genuinely saved us. We're always dabbling in emotion, so our goal is to reach you on a human level."

Mission accomplished on Death To Something, which in all actuality, brought the band members back to life.

Corey Kent's Highly Anticipated HEARTLAND ROCK AND ROLL Available Now

Multi-Platinum Sony Music Nashville recording artist Corey Kent releases his highly anticipated third major-label album, Heartland Rock and Roll, available everywhere today. The 16-track collection, which Entertainment Focus noted “doesn’t just feel like another release; it feels like a statement of identity,” captures the Oklahoma native’s signature blend of country, rock and soul while putting a name to the sound he has spent his career building. Listen to Heartland Rock and Roll  Below.

Originally slated as a 15-track album, Heartland Rock and Roll grew at the last minute with the addition of the sultry “Don’t Stop Now,” written by Kent with Austin Goodloe, Lydia Vaughan and Joybeth Taylor. After Kent teased the song for fans, the response was immediate, convincing him the track needed to make the final album.

“My new song ‘Don’t Stop Now’ has gotta be the sexiest song I’ve ever written,” shares Kent. “It’s a new lane for me but I had so much fun writing and recording this one because it has so much soul and vibe to it. It almost feels like a Continuum-era John Mayer song, if John Mayer had a Southern accent. Early on I was influenced a lot by soul and R&B music and it’s been really fun to explore how I can incorporate that in my own sound.”

The song finds Kent exploring a more sensual side of his songwriting, painting an intimate scene, “We’re already halfway down the hall / Knocked a couple pictures off the wall,” before building into its soulful chorus:

Produced primarily by Austin Goodloe, with additional production from Jon Randall and Chris Farren, Heartland Rock and Roll spans 16 tracks that blend golden-hour nostalgia, rugged honesty, hard-earned perspective and the peace that comes with staying true to yourself. The album features previously released tracks including “Everyday Life,” “Rocky Mountain Low” featuring Koe Wetzel which Billboard called “an unyielding, rock-fueled anthem,” “Wannabe,” “Cigarette Burns,” “Rather Be Here” featuring Jason Aldean and current single “Empty Words,” which is Top 25 and climbing at country radio, logging almost 5 million streams per week.

“Heartland Rock and Roll is my third major label album, and it’s really the first time I’ve been able to finally name the sound I’ve been working towards my entire career,” said Kent. “The lyrics span from nostalgia, to honest regrets and gratitude for the simple things I value most in life. From top to bottom, this is me. Every artist wants to leave their mark in music... a way to say, ‘I was here and I did it my way.’ This feels like mine. This is heartland rock and roll.”

The album’s release follows a year of momentum for Kent, who has continued to build his profile on stages across the country while preparing for his biggest headline tour to date. Earlier this month, Kent announced his 2027 Heartland Rock and Roll Tour, a 20+ date cross-country trek kicking off Jan. 22 at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth and making stops in Houston, Detroit, Columbus, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Boston and more before culminating April 30 with Kent’s headline debut at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium. Tyler Nance and Jacob Hackworth will join as support throughout the tour. Tickets are available at coreykentofficial.com.

“This year I’ve played all over the world and opened up for some of my favorite artists,” shared Kent. “But now it feels like it’s time for a headline tour right here in the heartland…the Heartland Rock and Roll Tour! I’ve reimagined everything on this tour making this show unlike anything we’ve ever done. I hand picked some of my favorite venues in the country and it’s almost time!”

Infusing Oklahoma roots with the untamed energy of a rebel rocker, Kent has built his career on doing things his own way. From dancehalls and dive bars in Bixby, Oklahoma, to earning two No. 1 singles at country radio, more than 1 billion career streams and multiple RIAA certifications, Kent’s rise has been steady, hard-earned and fueled by conviction.

“I’ve been fighting my differences for so long, but now it’s like, ‘Let’s just use those,’” Kent explains. “I’m not trying to be anybody else. Bigger fades, ‘better’ lasts.”

To date, Kent has earned Platinum certification for “Something’s Gonna Kill Me,” Gold certification for “This Heart” and Triple-Platinum certification for his No. 1 breakthrough hit “Wild As Her.” Rolling Stone has praised the Oklahoman native for giving “the region’s signature sound a shot of mainstream sensibility,” while CMT and the Opry NextStage program have recognized him as an artist to watch. He has toured alongside Morgan Wallen, Jason Aldean, Parker McCollum, Jon Pardi and Koe Wetzel.

CHAYCE BECKHAM RELEASES NEW EP OLD FASHIONED

Chayce Beckham releases his new EP, Old Fashioned, today. The five-song project contains the previously released songs, “Dirt Floor” and “Take Me Home” and three more original tracks co-written by Beckham and produced by Bart Butler. Fans can listen below.

“When I set out to start writing for this project I really wanted to keep it as raw and real as I possibly could,” says Beckham. “My love for the sound of country music from the 70’s still just lights me up and my goal was to approach these songs with that in mind but with a freshness that still plays into what is happening today. I write from a place of truth and from moments I have either lived or witnessed. I love where we landed on these songs and I am grateful to play them on stage each night.”

About Chayce Beckham:
Rising country star Chayce Beckham won American Idol singing his own songs and was the first to win singing an original song. Beckham is continuing to write his own music and chart his own path as a country artist, scoring his first #1 at country radio with the platinum hit single “23.” A California native schooled on tough times and a mix of country, rock, hip hop and beyond, the fiery songwriter with his own creative compass started a habit of heart-on-his-sleeve lyricism after a hard season of life left him feeling empty. Yet, his warm rough rasp and steadfast drive charmed the nation on Idol's 19th season. With more than 1.2 billion global on-demand streams and counting, the bluesy and brutally honest anthem “23” debuted at #1 on both iTunes All Genre and Country singles charts, and led to his first album, Bad for Me. Earning next-big-thing and artist to watch predictions from the Grand Ole Opry, CMT, Amazon Music, MusicRow and more,  Beckham is touring and sharing new music including the previously released “Dirt Floor,” a neo western sounding summer love song, and “Take Me Home” in addition to “Ain’t Lying To Myself,” all of which are out now on his new EP Old Fashioned.

SILVER SANDS MARINA ARRIVES With A Gone-In-Seconds Surprise Pinnacle Show Tonight Broadcast LIVE on No Shoes Radio at 8:30 PM Eastern

So much about Silver Sands Marina has been unorthodox. Starting with the time spent making it, the re-recording and recasting of “Carry On,” the landmark debut single, and three late tracks that inspired an 11-cut project in an age of more-is-more. For the East Tennessee songwriter-superstar, Silver Sands Marinabecame an album, not just of his great, often genre-defining songs, but a collection that holds together at the heart.

Today, with a sold-out-in-seconds surprise Pinnacle Show to celebrate, Silver Sands Marina arrives.

Again co-produced with legendary Buddy Cannon, the project delivers a sense of arrival, places and the smallest moments that define a life. Whether recognizing one’s reason on the opening “Burn My Boat,” the vulnerable spark knowing it’s over of “It Just Got Weird,” featuring Megan Moroney, the joyous heartbreak of “Goldfish” with Hawaiian alternative singer-songwriter Lily Meola or the swagger-forward homage to smalltown gossip “Talkin’ Dirt,” Chesney creates a core sample of what engaging with the world truly is.

“Having had the time to cut so many really great songs, but also listen to them, think about how they fit together,” Chesney offers, “the songs were also able to talk to each other. They showed me, Buddy, some of the people near me what they wanted to say in a larger way… And when ‘Silver Sands Marina’ captured that one perfect moment two share together with no distractions, everything fell into place.

“That’s the thing about music: the more you listen, the more it will tell you about life. Whether it’s how to get through it, laugh it off, make it more or recognize what’s so rare and special, it’s all there if you’ll slow down and listen. When we did, well, you can hear it in these 11 songs.”

With “CBS Mornings” anchor Gayle King raving, “[it] evokes memories, perfectly paints a special place and really celebrates life, the Associated Press writing, “He's one of the most consistent giants in country music for a reason. Kenny Chesney will release his 21st studio album –  you read that correctly –  today, titled ‘Silver Sands Marina.’ It's full-throated stadium country, with big hooks and bigger heart. You know, like all the great Chesney records,” and Billboard citing the album, “placing a premium on top-shelf songwriting that balances lyrical wit and emotional resonance… Linking each of the songs is Chesney’s warm, conversational vocal approach that makes each song feel even more lived-in and credible,” the early response is strong.

Even stronger is the gone-in-seconds response to tonight’s pop-up show at the Pinnacle, which will be broadcast live on No Shoes Radio (SiriusXM 59) at 8:30 p.m. ET. The immediacy and sense of community around Silver Sands Marina has really touched the 2025 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee. Drawing on a lifetime of songwriters, living, learning and laughter, Chesney’s first release for HEY NOW Records has manifested not just a history-making single that offers the philosophical compass, “if it feels good do it, if it doesn’t then don’t…,” its second single proffers a powerful perspective-shifter from jagged ending to owning all the thrills, euphoria and awesome that makes love great via “Remember Me That Way.”

“No Shoes Nation has always been a passionate, all-in kind of place. They work hard, play hard, love hard – and music moves through all of it. We’ve got songs here that are very fun, real, and honest; but they’re also things they’re not expecting, because I know I’d never heard songs like some of these before, either.

“That’s why we wanted to go play them live, and not wait for Tampa. Everyone in the band agreed, this is music that needs people to come fully alive, so I’m fired up to be playing Pinnacle tonight – and for anyone who couldn’t get tickets, you can be there with us on No Shoes Radio. We all – Buddy, me, so many of us – make this music for everyone else to enjoy – and today finally the circle of Silver Sands Marina is complete.”

Kicking off the Silver Sands Marina anticipation with his appearance on the “TODAY” Citi Concert Series and a lively turn on “The View,” Chesney has been across all media for the last week. E Street Radio, Howard Stern’s Howard 100 and ESPN, as well as yesterday’s lively sitdown with “CBS Mornings” anchor Gayle King all culminate with tonight’s NBC “Nightly News” and their “Great Americans” profile.

JOHN MORGAN ADDS FALL TOUR DATES AND RELEASES NEW SONG "CRY BABY"

Six time #1 hitmaker John Morgan is releasing his newest track, “Cry Baby.” The raw lovesong is written by John Morgan, Lydia Vaughn, Kurt Allison, and Tully Kennedy and produced by John Morgan and Brent Anderson. Listen to “Cry Baby” Below.

The country star is also adding fall dates to his touring schedule as his latest single “Kid Myself” is eyeing the top of the country airplay charts. After wrapping Brantley Gilbert’s Real American Tour, Morgan is adding ten headlining shows beginning November 12 in Myrtle Beach, SC and ending on December 5 in Starkville, MS. Tickets are on sale now and fans can buy tickets HERE.

On his self-aware new song "Cry Baby," John Morgan turns the mirror on himself. He owns up to the moments he's let his temper get the better of him — and the guilt that follows when he sees the hurt he's caused reflected in someone he loves. It's a vulnerable, grown kind of love song, less about grand romantic gestures and more about the harder work of accountability, growth, and trying to be better for the person who's stuck by him. With his signature blend of grit and sincerity, Morgan delivers a heartfelt plea that balances toughness with tenderness — proof that real strength is admitting when you're wrong.

Morgan is spending this fall touring, not only on Brantley Gilbert’s Real American Tour, but headlining his own dates with support from Erin Kinsey and Chris Ryan. Tickets are currently on sale HERE.

About John Morgan
:

GRAMMY-nominated and 6x #1 hitmaker, John Morgan delivers country music with a blue-collar edge rooted in the only life he knows. Raised in Sylva, North Carolina — a small town in the Great Smoky Mountains — he grew up playing bluegrass festivals in his family band. Now a “Music City songwriting star” (Tennessean) and “in-demand songcrafter” (Billboard), John has written 16 songs for Jason Aldean alone — including Aldean’s #1 hits “How Far Does A Goodbye Go,” “Trouble With A Heartbreak,” “Whiskey Drink,” “Don’t Tell On Me” and the GRAMMY®-nominated “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood. His songs have also been recorded by Jon Pardi, Dustin Lynch and Thomas Rhett. After years behind the scenes, John’s breakout moment came with his debut single “Friends Like That (feat. Jason Aldean),” which shot to #1 at country radio — earning him his fourth #1 as a songwriter and first as an artist. Morgan’s songwriting also earned him the coveted CMA Triple Play Award. The momentum continues with his debut album Carolina Blue, out now. A blend of raw storytelling and small-town soul, the project features the rising single “Kid Myself,” currently climbing the charts. REPENTANCE Release Tribute Video to Shaun Glass;"Fade Into Silence" Out Now!

Chicago -based metal act REPENTANCE has released a deeply personal tribute to the band’s founding member Shaun Glass with a brand-new video for "Fade Into Silence". The track, which is featured on the band’s upcoming third studio album "Retaliate", is out now and you can watch it below:

Shaun Glass, the founding member and driving force behind REPENTANCE, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2026. Following his tragic death, the band decided to postpone the release of "Retaliate" from its originally scheduled summer release to November 27, out of respect for their brother, friend, and bandmate.

Vocalist Adam Gilley comments: "We decided that 'Fade Into Silence' would be the next single from the record because we wanted to dedicate this release to Shaun Glass. Of all the songs on the record, 'Fade Into Silence' just felt like the perfect song to honor him - especially because it was a song that Shaun himself wrote.

His unexpected passing has left a major hole in our hearts and in this band. Shaun wasn’t just a bandmate or a friend; he was our brother. He was the one who created this band and helped give it its identity, and he was deeply loved by everyone of us. It’s difficult to put into words what his loss means to us, and things will never quite be the same without him.

This song now carries a meaning we never expected it to have. Every note is a reminder of Shaun, his creativity, his passion, and everything he gave to this band. We’re proud to dedicate 'Fade Into Silence' to our brother and friend, Shaun Glass. His music, his influence, and his memory will always be a part of us. Rest easy, Shaun. This one is for you."

Shaun Glass spent more than four decades shaping the Chicago metal scene and was a driving force behind influential bands including Terminal Death, Sindrome, Broken Hope, SOiL, Dirge Within, The Bloodline, and, most recently, REPENTANCE. Throughout his career, he shared stages with some of the biggest names in metal and left behind a lasting musical legacy that continues to resonate with fans around the world.

Formed in 2018, REPENTANCE have built their sound around crushing groove metal, technical precision and uncompromising intensity. Following their debut album God For A Day (2020), the band signed with Noble Demon and released the EP Volume I - Reborn(2021), introducing vocalist Adam Gilley to the fold. Their sophomore album The Process of Human Demise (2023) further established their modern take on groove metal and thrash.

Now, "Retaliate" will arrive on November 27, 2026, via Noble Demon. Produced by Alex Lackner at Accelerated Sound and mixed by Ari Mihalopoulos at Inner Light Studio, the album marks another chapter in the band's story - one that will now forever be connected to the legacy of its founder.

"Fade Into Silence" is more than just a new single. It is a final musical tribute to Shaun Glass, carrying his creativity and spirit forward through the band he created.

If you want to support Shaun's family, in order to cover hospital bills for his last weeks on life support and to give stability to his son Maddux’s future, a Crowdfunding campaign has been launched here:https://www.gofundme.com/f/a-life-in-metal-a-future-for-his-son-shaun-glass

CARMERIA Present New Single “Unto The Dawn” With Official Music Video, Ahead Of Forthcoming Album Ex Cathedra

“Unto the Dawn” is the second single to arrive from CARMERIA's forthcoming third studio album Ex Cathedra, scheduled for independent release on October 30, 2026. The Australian symphonic metal and gothic rock band present an anthem of support in “Unto the Dawn,” inspired through their own experiences of providing care to loved ones and the positive impact CARMERIA's music has had onto their growing online community.

Continuing the Gothic grandeur established in the first single “Caelira,” “Unto the Dawn” is an enthralling melodic offering that carries somber moments and uplifting elements. The track is infused with a message of hope and comfort in the face of the shadows, "We cannot take another person’s suffering away, but we can help ease the burden through love and support."

“Unto the Dawn” was written and arranged by CARMERIA singer/songwriter/producer Jordan von Grae. The song is about providing support for a loved one. Acknowledging that often we do not have the means to alleviate another's pain, “Unto the Dawn” instead focuses on the importance of being present and supportive in dark times.

“Unto the Dawn” draws on personal experiences of offering love and support to a friend in a period of turmoil, and serves as a love letter to fans and listeners who have expressed to CARMERIA that their music has aided them with comfort in times of difficulty.

The comfort and companionship of CARMERIA's music is revealed through their Patreon community, The Carmunity, a number of whom participated as extras in the video for “Unto the Dawn.” With some members travelling over 1,000km to be at the shoot, this release embodies the power of music.

The official music videos for “Unto the Dawn” and their previous single “Caelira” were designed and developed by Jordan von Grae, produced by Jordan von Grae and Mishka Bobrov, and directed, filmed and edited by Greg Oroth. Filmed at VAMP by Lisa McGuigan in the Hunter Valley region of NSW, the accompanying music videos form part of the broader visual identity surrounding Ex Cathedra, which sees CARMERIA embracing a Gothic and vampiric masquerade aesthetic through glittering masks, lavish garments and sweeping cloaks.

Ex Cathedra was mixed by Jordan von Grae and mastered by Miro Mastering. The album and single covers were designed by Jordan von Grae, illustrated by Hassane and coordinated by Mishka Bobrov. Album photography was completed by Matt Bartolo.

In 2026, CARMERIA return with their third full-length album, Ex Cathedra, a record that expands the band’s established symphonic and gothic foundations with a stronger melodic rock influence. Centred on the idea that suffering is an unavoidable part of life but despair is not, the album represents a further evolution in CARMERIA’s songwriting, production and visual identity while remaining rooted in the qualities that have defined the band from the beginning: melody, storytelling, independence and connection.

CARMERIA is:

Jordan von Grae — Vocals
Jerry Zahija — Guitars
Mishka Bobrov — Keytar
Emma Louise Nagy — Bass

EXCITER RECORDS ANNOUNCES TWO 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITIONS OF JUDAS PRIEST’S SAD WINGS OF DESTINY

Released in 1976, Sad Wings of Destiny was the moment Judas Priest found its true identity. Where Rocka Rolla offered promise, Sad Wings delivered purpose.

Fronted by Rob Halford (voc), Glenn Tipton (gtr), KK Downing (gtr), Ian Hill (bass) and Alan Moore (drums), Sad Wings of Destiny was a bold, dark, and ambitious statement that would help define heavy metal and featured future metal classics such as ‘Victim of Changes’ and ‘The Ripper’—songs that Judas Priest performed live during their 2026 FAITHKEEPERS Summer Tour.

Now in the 50th anniversary year of its original release, Judas Priest’s Sad Wings of Destiny is being celebrated with two distinct editions of the album: Original 1976 Masters and the newly announced Remixed & Remastered. These two new versions restore the band’s intended track listing, beginning with the atmospheric “Prelude" and presenting the songs in the sequence Judas Priest originally envisioned for the album.

The ‘Remixed & Remastered’ is available for streaming worldwide on October 2, 2026—with CD and vinyl available starting November 27, with early access through the Exciter Records webstore on November 6.

Electronic trailblazers DELERIUM & iconic avant-garde singer DIAMANDA GALÁS present “Into The Light“

Legendary Canadian electronic duo Delerium presents "Into The Light", a stunning collaboration with iconic American avant-garde singer and performer Diamanda Galás, released via Metropolis Records. An exquisite work of downtempo electronica, this track reveals itself as an opus of shadowy ethereal brilliance.

Delerium is a Canadian electronic music group founded in 1987 by the globally renowned duo of Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber. Over the course of four decades, their music has encompassed a diverse range of styles that include dark instrumental soundscapes, ambient trance and electronic pop music.

"Into The Light" is the first offering from “Exaudire" -- Delerium's 16th album to date -- out in January 2027.  It embodies portions of “Deliver Me From Mine Enemies: IV. Ε Ξελόυ Mε [Deliver Me]“, which was written and performed by Diamanda Galás and included on her 1986 album “The Divine Punishment".  Produced by Leeb and Fulber, this was mixed and mastered by Greg Reely.

"Delerium has always been inspired by ancient spiritual callings through the ages.  Having followed and listened to Diamanda Galás music and voice, I felt there was a certain connection. I have always wanted to work with her on a collaboration and now was the right time. 'Into The Light' is a perfect example of how Diamanda channels pain into beauty, and her inner demons are exorcised into art," says Bill Leeb.

Before forming Delerium, Leeb and Fulber had made a name for themselves with the highly influential electronic-industrial group Front Line Assembly (Leeb was also an early member of Skinny Puppy). Originally intended as a side project for exploring dark ambient instrumental compositions, Delerium ultimately took on a long and beautiful life of its own.

Since their 1994 album 'Semantic Spaces', Delerium has received two Juno awards and grown to massive fame through collaborations, involving vocals by Leigh Nash (Sixpence None the Richer), Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance), Kirsty Hawkshaw (Opus III), Emily Haines (Metric), Jacqui Hunt (Single Gun Theory), Matthew Sweet and Kristy Thirsk (Rose Chronicles).

Worldwide chart success came in 2000 with the anthem "Silence (featuring Sarah McLachlan)", reaching #1 in numerous countries. Its remixes are also hailed among the greatest trance songs of all time (with the Tiësto remix voted the 12th-greatest dance track of all time by Mixmag readers).

With Front Line Assembly already part of the Metropolis Records roster, Delerium signed to the label for the release of the albums "Mythologie" (2016) and "Signs" (2023). Bill Leeb also released his widely acclaimed debut solo album "Model Kollapse" via Metropolis in 2024.

Delerium has also seen sync licensing placements with songs appearing in films such as "Brokedown Palace" and "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider". “Silence" was also recently heard in the hit BBC drama "Industry".

“Into The Light“ is out now across fine digital platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. Already available for pre-order, 'Exaudire' will be released digitally, on CD and as a double album on Oxblood vinyl on January 22nd, 2027.

From Ashes to New Announce Deluxe Version of "Reflections" + Share New Song "Love Me" — WATCH + LISTEN

Today, FROM ASHES TO NEW  — Danny Case (vocals), Matt Brandyberry (vocals), Lance Dowdle (guitar), Maty Madiro (drums), and Jimmy Bennett(guitar) —unleash an emotionally charged and engaging new single entitled “Love Me" out now via Better Noise Music. This hard-hitting yet hypnotic anthem sets the stage for the forthcoming Deluxe Edition of their acclaimed album REFLECTIONS, which arrives November 13, 2026.

 Listen to "Love Me" here.

Watch the official video below.

Pre-order/pre-save Reflections (Deluxe Edition) here.

"Love Me" sees FROM ASHES TO NEW seamlessly evolve, while clinging tightly to the punchy rhymes, walloping choruses, and inventive soundscape architecture that transformed the band from Pennsylvania independent favorites to a Gold-certified international phenomenon who've achieved their first No. 1 single with "DRAG ME" (from Reflections) earlier this year.

"Love Me" cuts deep, breaking the skin and inciting true catharsis that’s as catchy as it caustic once the chorus kicks in.  You'll be chanting along to "LOVE ME" after just one listen.

Vocalist Matt Brandyberry states, "'Love Me' is about that person who was supposed to be there for you, but they completely vanish, essentially becoming a ghost. You still vividly remember how it felt when they were actually around, to the point where you can still feel their breath on your skin, even though no one is there. This track creates a heavy, haunting atmosphere that mirrors that exact feeling of reaching out for a presence right next to you, only to grasp at empty air. It captures the sheer desperation of watching your own memories turn into a cage that feels impossible to break out of."

"Love Me" follows the release of their new version of "Die For You," featuring quarreling alt-pop sister duo Neoni. Since its arrival in August, the collaboration picked up critical acclaim from the likes of Broadway World, antiMusic, Metal Underground, and Rock 'N' Load, to name a few.

In other news, FROM ASHES TO NEW will share news regarding their forthcoming 2027 plans October 6.

2026 has been a banner year for FROM ASHES TO NEW. "Die For You," which enjoyed a viral moment as the band took a firm and active stance against bullying. It is currently #5 at active rock. As mentioned, "Drag Me" surged as the #1 track on Active Rock radio. Meanwhile, Reflections has tallied just shy of 100 million streams since its April release. Plus, the group hit the road (and stayed on it), touring with the likes of Shinedown, Coheed and Cambria, Black Veil Brides, TX2, and As December Falls.

The band also announced a hometown holiday show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania set for Friday, December 11. It sold out during the pre-sale, so the band added an additional show on Saturday, December 12. Zero 9:36 and Sage will serve as support. Both shows will take place at Capital City Music Hall.

New Jersey's QUIZ SHOW honors old friends & forges new paths on ‘XONO’ EP (Out September 28th)

New Jersey-based indie rock trio Quiz Show present their new 'XONO' EP, released via New Jersey's Magic Door Record Label. This three-song collectioncaptures the band at a point of transition, blending noisy, high-energy power-trio rock with a growing acoustic side in their performance.

Quiz Show is made up of Chris Matthews, a founding member of of legendary DC hardcore band Shudder To Think, and bassist Jesse Krakow, together with drummer Joe Billy III, who replaced the original drummer Kevin March (Guided By Voices, The Dambuilders, Shudder To Think).

You could say Quiz Show is a continuation of unfinished business. After a quarter-century break, Chris Matthews picked-up his guitar and again began to write songs, triggered by a chance meeting with his former Shudder To Think bandmate Kevin March. Now both living in Montclair, Kevin and Chris ended up forming Quiz Show with Frank Gibbons on bass.

This EP reflects Quiz Show’s recent evolution, honoring longtime influences and collaborators while pointing toward the band’s next chapter. Once again, Quiz Show worked with award-winning producer Ray Ketchem (Guided By Voices, Luna, Elk City, Gramercy Arms, The Dambuilders), who produced, recorded, mixed and mastered thie EP at Magic Door Recording Studio in Montclair, NJ.

The title track 'XONO' is about the high hopes of friendship and love, and the difficulties that lie therein, exploring the painful gap between idealized romantic aspirations and the harsh truth that a promising bond is ultimately doomed to fail. Chris Matthews shares, "I really love 'XONO' for being a tight, quick, and complex song. There is some great simplicity and pleasant dissonance in the music. That it tells a story about difficult relationships is something I am proud to have found a way to spell out".

The second track, 'Haircut Sphinx', is a cover of a Guided By Voices song, written by Robert Pollard and recorded for their 'Mirrored Aztec' LP from 2020. .

"We were inspired to record the song to honor the genius of Pollard and his relentlessly amazing songwriting in Guided by Voices, and also to pay homage to our good friend Kevin March, GBV’s drummer on this song and many others," says Chris Matthews.

"We slowed the tempo of the song and added an organ (played by Jesse) to capture a more sludgy feel. We also changed the ending to bring out what seemed to us a really cool musical change with a great vocal line that we thought was worth repeating."

The EP closes with an acoustic version of 'Pom Pom Boy', a first generation Quiz Show song. Chris Matthews explains, "Originally released on our 'Quiz Show' album, we recorded this version to give this song a new life in a different costume." Written by Kevin March and Chris Matthews in Chris’ basement years ago, it captures the spirit of what these two created when they sat down just to play and see what happens. This track highlights the multi-talents of Joe Billy III, whose killer drumming was set aside to showcase his acoustic guitar skills.

Quiz Show makes music still squarely within the punk and alternative rock spectrum with elements of Hüsker Dü, Pixies, Ramones, Fugazi, Sonic Youth, and Girls Against Boys. Blending the melodic hooks and songcraft of alternative pop with the raw energy and noise of punk, their layered guitars, heavy drums, and bass create a dense, dynamic sound that rewards repeated listens.

Their 2023's debut 'Quiz Show' album is an electrifying collection full of protest, friendship and frustration. Their 'Flotsam' EP, released in 2024 and engineered by Ketchem and Brian Robbins (Blondie, Bring Me The Horizon, Papa Roach), explores the shattered, lost stories of people’s lives. Both releases received widespread critical acclaim.

"Our new 'XONO' EP captures the life of Quiz Show over the last year. After a run of EPs as a power trio, schedules and real life made time for the band tight. Nevertheless, we found a way to write, practice, and record 'XONO' and 'Haircut Sphinx'. These songs give the best sense of where we have been trying to go with the band," explains Chris Matthews.

"Joe and Chris are now playing as a duo and will be including an acoustic break in their live sets. The new recording of 'Pom Pom' shows how this will look"

As of September 28, the 'XONO' EP is out everywhere, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp.  Quiz Show perform October 2 at Crossroads in Garwood, NJ, along with The Van Pelt.

PINWHEEL Unleashes Emotional Rage and Raw Resentment with Powerful NEW SINGLE “HUSH”

Alternative rock band PINWHEEL are turning years of buried emotion into something impossible to ignore with the release of their powerful new single, “Hush.”

Raw, confrontational, and deeply personal, “Hush” explores the complicated aftermath of growing up in toxic family environments and the realization that the person you became isn't necessarily the person you once imagined

you'd be.

Rather than simply looking backward, PINWHEEL use “Hush” as a reckoning an opportunity to confront the anger, resentment, confusion, and lasting impact of experiences that can shape a person long after childhood

is over.

“‘Hush’ is an outcry from a younger version of myself. An angry kid who grew up to realize they are nothing like they thought they’d be. Toxic family relationships contributed to my childhood anger and ‘Hush’ is an expression of that rage, resentment, and who it made me today.” - Bella

At its core, “Hush” is about giving a voice to the emotions that were once forced into silence.

The title itself carries a powerful contradiction.

A SONG ABOUT WHO WE WERE

AND WHO WE BECAME

For PINWHEEL, “Hush” represents more than another new song. It is an emotional snapshot of a younger self finally being heard.

The anger of that younger version hasn't disappeared. It has evolved.

And through “Hush,” that rage becomes something tangible something that can be confronted, understood, and ultimately shared with anyone who has ever looked back at their childhood and wondered how much of who they are today was shaped by what they survived.

With “Hush,” PINWHEEL prove that sometimes the most powerful songs aren't written to provide answers.

They're written because staying silent isn't an option anymore.

PINWHEEL is a hall of mirrors seductive, unsettling, and loud as hell.

Formed in Austin, Texas in 2025, PINWHEELemerged as a convergence of five distinct forces: vocalist Bella Renee, a fresh young voice whose raw power and presence mark her as a future force to be reckoned with in the pantheon of female rock vocalists; guitarist Mark Sean, a three-time Billboard-charting songwriter and former member of Black Heart Saints, the band crowned Best Metal Band by the Austin Chronicle Music Awards; guitarist James Austin Wadkins, whose textures and tension elevate every sonic turn; bassist Cameron McHenry, laying down hypnotic low-end that shifts like smoke; and drummer Terrin Burton, bringing relentless pulse and explosive precision.

Together, they forge something that lives between genres: heavy yet melodic, soulful yet brutal, theatrical yet deeply raw. It's the sound of broken glass under velvet, of emotion turned weapon. PINWHEEL channels the beauty and chaos of a decaying circus — groove-driven, darkly elegant, and emotionally unflinching.

Their live performances are not just shows — they're experiences. A dark carnival of sound and spectacle, drawing in crowds like moths to a flame: curious, spellbound, and ultimately consumed. That reputation has earned them the stage alongside touring acts, opening for Wargasm UK, Metalachi, and most recently, doom metal pioneers The Obsessed.

This isn't just music. It's a descent.

The wheel is turning. Step inside.

SIFYN Stitch Themselves Back Together on New Single "Sew Me Up"

Minneapolis pop-metalcore outfit, SIFYN, cut a little deeper with their brand new track, "Sew Me Up", out now. Taken off the band's forthcoming EP, "Self-Encrypted", set for release on December 4, the track tightens the band's blend of metal with alternative rock, atmosphere, emo vulnerability, and pop-forward melody. Where lead single, "Code", wrestled with the urge to protect someone who has to find their own way, "Sew Me Up", picks up in the emotional whiplash of broken promises and crossed lines. Watch the new video for "Sew Me Up" HERE below.

After previous single, "Code", found a home in rotation at Universal Studios: Halloween Horror Nights - Hollywood, SIFYN aim their focus with a track that is far more confrontational. At its core, "Sew Me Up" lives in the moment of stitching yourself back together while reckoning with the part you played in your own undoing.

Speaking on the self-preservation at the heart of "Sew Me Up", founding member and frontman Lukas Magyar shares:

"People always show their true intentions. I've learned over the years to not ignore these signals. Accepting the reality isn't always easy, but there is plenty to be gained in the discomfort."

Drawing weight from metalcore with alt-rock textures, emo's volatility, and pop-minded melodies, SIFYN have found a way to make heavy music with a danceable pulse. Sharpening the contrast between intensity and immediacy, lead singles "Code" and "Sew Me Up" introduce the upcoming "Self-Encrypted" EP as a new phase for the Minneapolis band, one that is colorful while unbridled.

Founded by (ex-Veil Of Maya) Lukas Magyar, SIFYN made their debut with "Marionette" in 2022 and have continued to expand their palette with every release. What began as a creative outlet beyond Magyar's longtime work in heavy music became a space to follow different instincts: bigger melodic swings, looser genre boundaries, and songwriting that makes room for both technical weight and straight-to-the-chest emotion.

Be sure to stay tuned for more SIFYN news coming very soon.

ABOUT SIFYN

For nearly a decade, SIFYN have lived in a state of constant evolution, growing from a studio project into a full-fledged metal outfit comprising vocalist Lukas Magyar, guitarists Mike Green and Dustin Korth, bassist/co-writer Derek Sampson and drummer Avery Frisk. Along the way, the Minnesota-based quintet have developed a similar sonic restlessness, spinning a genre-blending sound that pulls from modern alternative rock, metalcore and early-2000s emo – muscular rhythms, skyward guitars, shimmering electronics and tightly layered vocals all filtered through Cyberpunk-sheen production. But rather than pledge allegiance to any one scene, SIFYN follow their instincts wherever they lead.

That freedom reaches a new level on SELF-ENCRYPTED, the band's new five-song EP and most personal collection to date. Where the group’s 2022 debut, Marionette, often channeled pieces of Magyar's life through fictional characters, SELF-ENCRYPTED fully closes the distance between songwriter and subject, grappling with loved ones in crisis, identity, ideology, dreams, reality and personal agency with the urgency of a deathbed confessional. By narrowing its perspective to lived experience, SIFYN’s music feels more universal than ever, leaving room for listeners to enter the story – not simply observing the band’s search for answers, but asking critical questions of their own right alongside them.

Two decades in, Leng Tch’e still sound like a band settling a score with time itself. “Hammered into Collapse” is built around the image of a parasite that has fed on its host for 20 years without ever being sated, a slow reckoning with wasted time that tightens into a repeated, mechanical refrain: mind turning black, cerebral and neural hijack.

“Hammered into Collapse” was recorded at Hearse Studio with engineer Lander Cluyse, mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit Recording Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. Known for working with God’s Hate, Full and Hell and Vitriol, Young helps situate Leng Tche’s new single within a current, heavier-leaning corner of the grind and death metal landscape.

Hammered into Collapse was recorded at Hearse Studio with engineer Lander Cluyse, built around a single escalating idea: two decades of denial giving way, all at once, to what the lyrics call cerebral hijack. Serge Kasongo’s words track a narrator who spent a lifetime avoiding a reckoning only to find it arrives anyway, swallowing and digesting the wasted time in real time. “Voided” takes the same collapse and pushes it outward, past the individual and into something closer to apocalypse, spiralling from mental unravelling to total blackout, into the void. Where the title track stays claustrophobic and internal, “Voided” opens up until the personal and the cosmic blur together.

LENG TCH’E HAVE EARNED THEIR SILENCES.

Nine years on from Razorgrind, the wait is over and the collapse has arrived.

Turn it up.

LUNA KILLS GO SUPERNOVA WITH NEW SINGLE "SUPERVILLAIN"

LUNA KILLS are back with ''supervillain," a fierce new single that turns apocalyptic imagery into a sharp metaphor for ego, influence, and the destructive forces certain people can unleash around them. The single follows the band’s previous release, ''LOWER,'' which was released earlier this year via Sharptone Records, continuing the momentum established with DEATHMATCH (2025).

The new track arrives after a standout summer for the Finnish band, who brought their explosive live show to some of Europe's most prominent festivals, including Wacken Open Air, Alcatraz, Summer Breeze, Provinssi, Radar, and Reload. With an ever-growing live presence and more shows on the horizon, LUNA KILLS are carrying that momentum straight into their next chapter with Bloodstock 2027 already confirmed as part of what lies ahead.

At the heart of ''supervillain'' is the image of a sun going supernova: Something immense and powerful that ultimately destroys itself, while leaving devastation in its wake.

''The lyrics depict our sun going supernova, and it serves as a metaphor of a certain type of people that suck the air out of the spaces they inhabit," said vocalist Lotta. "As their influence and power rises along their ego it will lead up to their inevitable fall which might have terrible consequences for others around them.''

LUNA KILLS have added a fresh run of dates to their 2026 tour schedule, with major festival appearances, headline shows and support slots taking them across Europe. The band will also join Future Palace for select dates, further expanding an already packed year of live activity.

ABOUT LUNA KILLS:
LUNA KILLS are without a doubt the most refreshing modern metal act in the scene, combining alternative and nu-metal vibes with electronics inspired by game soundtracks. Their frontwoman Lotta with her jazz singing background and incredible fry scream vocals brings the audience to their knees - unless they are speeding around in moshpits, as often witnessed in their fiery live shows. Even as newcomers LUNA KILLS have already opened the door to their beloved gaming world as their music is featured in the hit mobile app Beatstar. The band, first formed in 2019, has now taken their first steps on European stages, gained the attention of multiple rock radios in their native Finland and are moving towards even bigger stages after their successful debut album DEATHMATCH via SharpTone Records.

LUNA KILLS ARE:
