SOM Share Video For New Single "Nightmares" — WATCH // Announce Spring Tour With Earthside

SOM have shared the video for new single "Nightmares," taken from their forthcoming third full-length album Let The Light In, on March 14 through Berlin's Pelagic Records.

With a unique sound dubbed "Doom Pop" by Metal Injection, SOM's dreamy shoegaze roots are on display across Let The Light In but there is heft at its core that is bracing and ferocious. If the band's debut album The Fall explored hitting rock bottom and sophomore release The Shape of Everything grappled with the ever-darkening world around us, Let The Light In sees SOM turn their sights inward, towards our most primal impulses: Seeking solace and reconciliation from the vibrancy within ourselves and the people we hold close.

Adversity became the catalyst for change when, due to unforeseen circumstances, the band's founding drummer left midway through the album's writing and recording process. SOM took the remainder of 2023 to reshape and refocus, eventually re-recording most of the album in a new configuration that allowed them to paint in even broader sonic strokes. The result is a raw but richly melodic album unafraid to travel through the depths of human emotion, ultimately guiding us towards growth and enlightenment.

Latest single "Nightmares" is one of their heaviest compositions to date. An exhilarating collision of uplifting vocal melodies, triumphant reverb-soaked guitar work and the snarling, bass-heavy bite of a metal breakdown, "Nightmares" bears evidence of challenge and change, showing a newly reconfigured SOM reveling in their "doom pop' dichotomy. Taken from their imminent album, the new track arrives alongside an epic video within a hauntingly glitched-out post-apocalyptic fever dream directed by Joel Villegas (Poison The Well, Holy Fawn, Glassing).

Since 2019, SOM have toured extensively across North America, Europe and the UK alongside acts including Katatonia, Solstafir, Slow Crush, and many more. This relentless live commitment across 21 countries, coupled with 2023's introspective restructuring, has profoundly altered their creative approach.

As they began working on this new material, the members of SOM found themselves in a fresh headspace, armed with a newfound, hard-earned maturity. Let The Light In is SOM's testament to resilience and evolution. Born from challenge and change, the album pulses with confidence and catharsis, imploring the listener and the band themselves to traverse the darkness and find the light.

Let The Light In is released on the March 14.

PARADISE LOST ANNOUNCE 2025 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES

UK gothic metal legends PARADISE LOST will return to North America for the first time in years in support of their latest masterpiece, Obsidian, available from Nuclear Blast Records. The Devil Embraced North American Tour will take place in May 2025 and feature openers GiGAN and TROUBLE

Tickets go on sale Friday, January 10th at 10:00AM Local Time at https://paradiselost.co.uk/.

Commenting on the tour, founding vocalist Nick Holmes says:

"We never get to play America as much as we would like to so it's always great to get the opportunity to return. We are all really looking forward to playing these shows, and hope to see you all there."

PARADISE LOST Tour Dates:
May 16 - Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee Metal Fest
May 17 - Columbus, OH - The King of Clubs
May 18 - Toronto, ON - Lee's Palace
May 20 - Montreal, QC - Fairmount Theatre
May 21 - Boston, MA - Brighton Music Hall
May 22 - New York, NY - Le Poisson rouge
May 24 - Baltimore, MD - Maryland Death Fest

Formed in Halifax, West Yorkshire, in 1988, PARADISE LOST were unlikely candidates for metal glory when they slithered from the shadows and infiltrated the UK underground. But not content with spawning an entire subgenre with early death/doom masterpiece Gothic nor with conquering the metal mainstream with the balls-out power of 1995’s Draconian Times, they have subsequently traversed multiple genre boundaries with skill and grace, evolving through the pitch-black alt-rock mastery of ‘90s classics One Second and Host to the muscular but ornate grandeur of 2009’s Faith Divides Us – Death Unites Us and Tragic Idol (2012), with the nonchalant finesse of grand masters. The band’s last two albums – The Plague Within (2015) and Medusa (2017) – saw a much celebrated return to brutal, old school thinking, via two crushing monoliths to slow-motion death and spiritual defeat. Consistently hailed as one of metal’s most charismatic live bands, PARADISE LOST arrive in this new decade as veterans, legends and revered figureheads for several generations of gloomy metalheads. In keeping with their unerring refusal to deliver the expected, 2020 brings one of the band’s most diverse and devastating creations to date. Their last album Obsidian was released in spring 2020, hitting international charts with great success.

MASVIDAL + MoonBladder Embark on ‘Spiritual Weight’ Tour, Combining Forces for an Unforgettable Collaborative Experience

MASVIDAL (Paul Masvidal of CYNIC, Æon Spoke, etc.) and MOONBLADDER (Jason Walton of AGALLOCH) have teamed up for the Spiritual Weight Tour, which will take place in three cities on the West Coast from January 21-24. Tickets for the intimate, mind-bending experience can be purchased upon walk up day of show. The full itinerary can be found below!

Masvidal comments, "Three exclusive, intimate solo shows across Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. This January, Jason Walton (MoonBladder, Agalloch) and I are teaming up to share an evening of sound and connection. Jason’s experimental soundscapes and my acoustic meditations merge two distinct worlds into a living, breathing organism."

In addition, Paul recently worked with motion graphics editor Drain Hope to release "The Fisher Tale," a track from one of his other projects, Æon Spoke. Paul performs material from Æon Spoke at his solo shows, along with stripped-back Cynic songs. The song can be found below.

Masvidal explains, "The visuals in this video were created using AI, with editing and motion graphics by Drain Hope himself. The visual approach has a children’s picture book fairy tale vibe, blending the feel of intentionally retro, slightly formal publisher graphics with drawings imagined by a computer. The Fisher Tale has been around for a while, originally written as an Aeon Spoke song, but for me, it always comes back to the music itself. These visuals help bring its dreamlike story to life in a more literal way.

"Musically, it’s likely the simplest song I’ve ever written—a 6/8 piece built on four cycling chords that steadily build tension. Lyrically, it’s a story about a fisherman who meets a magical fish offering him anything he desires. Like many of us, he asks for romantic love, wealth, fame, and power. But as his aspirations grow more deluded, so does his suffering. The message is simple: true joy and freedom don’t come from things outside ourselves—whether possessions, status, or relationships. Sure, they can bring fleeting moments of happiness, but it’s easy to get stuck in the endless loop of striving, thinking that more will make us whole. Ultimately, though, letting go and trusting that we’re already enough seems to be what frees us in the bigger picture. Anyway, I’ve strayed a bit—it’s really just a simple song about a fisherman and a wise, magical fish. Though who knows, maybe he gave up fishing altogether after that and started foraging seaweed instead—it’s more compassionate, and it’s great for your hair, haha.

"Warren Riker’s mix stands out to me—it’s one of those bold, unconventional decisions that just works. Panning the drums hard left and the vocals hard right for the first half of the tune creates such a vibe.

"This song emerged from a queer men’s spiritual group I joined after moving to Los Angeles. Every year, the group would focus on a theme, and we’d express it through performative art. That year’s theme, in particular, was fairy tales retold for gay men. That’s where The Fisher Tale came to life. During the performance, I was nearly naked, costumed like a wood elf, standing in the corner of a surreal forest scene alongside other characters in the piece. With my acoustic guitar, I sang the song over and over to the dreamer (audience) awake in the dream.

"At the end of the tune, you can hear birds chirping—a moment captured while I was recording vocals in an apartment I used to live in on Waverly Drive in Silverlake. It was right across from the infamous LaBianca house, known for the Manson murders, and I’d often see the Tragical History Tour bus packed with tourists driving by. The energy around there was definitely a little odd. In a way, it felt like those birds were letting me know the song was done—guess they had the final say.

"For me, songs like this exist more like physical pieces of art—they hold space and relevance in unusual ways over the passage of time. They evolve and take on new meaning, untethered from the urgency of new releases or trends. Most people haven’t heard The Fisher Tale yet, and its message feels more relevant now than ever. Sharing it again, through this video, feels like the right moment—for whatever it’s worth.”

Paul Masvidal is a groundbreaking guitarist, songwriter, and co-founder of Cynic, a pioneering progressive metal band known for its innovative fusion of metal, jazz, and experimental music. Widely respected as a groundbreaking guitarist and songwriter, Masvidal has collaborated with major artists across genres, adding to his legacy as an innovative musician. Over time, he has become a well recognized figure in the metal and progressive music community, with countless younger artists and musicians citing him as a key influence in both technical ability and creative vision.

Known for his philosophical and spiritual approach to art, exploring themes of the dream-like nature of reality, consciousness, and the search for deeper truths, his music transcends labels, resonating with fans of both the metal world and beyond, thanks to his ability to combine technicality with emotional depth.

Masvidal played guitar on Death’s influential album, 'Human,' and helped shape the genre with Cynic's acclaimed 1993 release, 'Focus,' often regarded as a seminal record in progressive metal. Following 'Focus,' Cynic expanded their sound with albums such as 'Traced in Air' (2008), and explored more experimental territory with EPs 'Re-Traced' (2010) and 'Carbon-Based Anatomy' (2011), which reimagined Cynic’s music with atmospheric and ambient textures. Cynic continued to evolve with the full-length album 'Kindly Bent to Free Us' (2014), which took a more raw, progressive rock trio direction, further solidifying their role as innovators in the genre.

In 2022, Cynic released the futuristic concept album 'Ascension Codes,' a deeply philosophical record that explores themes of cosmic consciousness, spirituality, and transcendence, showcasing Masvidal’s continued creative evolution.

In addition to his work with Cynic, Masvidal has produced a solo trilogy, Mythical Human Vessel, and led the alternative project Æon Spoke. He gained significant attention for his personal coming-out story in the LA Times, advocating for LGBTQ+ representation in the metal community in 2014, where he courageously shared his journey as a gay man in the metal scene, shattering stereotypes and inspiring fans worldwide.during a time when coming out was still taboo. A dedicated vegan, Masvidal promotes conscious living and mindfulness, further extending his creativity through his jewelry line, Masvidalien, inspired by metaphysical concepts.

Masvidal has also collaborated with various artists and composed music for TV and film, including the award-winning 'The Tiger Hunter.' He has also launched several signature guitars with Strandberg and now Kiesel, cementing his place as a guitarist whose influence is felt by players across a wide spectrum of genres.

His live performances offer a meditative experience, blending acoustic and electronic elements to create intimate, reflective soundscapes. Widely respected, Masvidal continues to influence generations of musicians with his technical prowess and philosophical approach to art.

Heavy Metallers RIVETSKULL Bring Dio's Legendary Music to Life with New Tour!

RIVETSKULL, the heavy metal powerhouse known for their electrifying live performances, are hitting the road to honor the legacy of the legendary Ronnie James Dio. Forged in the fires of a shared passion for Dio’s iconic music, RIVETSKULL is embarking on a special series of shows to celebrate the voice and spirit that has inspired countless fans around the globe.

“We owe so much to Ronnie for the decades of powerful, unforgettable music he’s given us—and we know we’re not alone in feeling that way,” the band shares.

The tour combines RIVETSKULL’s own hard-hitting metal with a celebration of Dio’s timeless catalog. Fans can look forward to a 45-minute set of RIVETSKULL’s original music, showcasing their unique sound and energy, followed by a 1-1/2 hour set of Dio’s greatest hits, spanning his legendary work with Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and Dio.

“In the streaming era, it’s harder than ever for bands to stand out and connect with true heavy metal fans. Instead of following the same formula, we decided to embrace what makes RIVETSKULL unique by returning to our roots,” the band explains.

“Before forming RIVETSKULL, we toured internationally as a Ronnie James Dio tribute band—not as imitators, but as musicians paying homage to a sound that’s part of our DNA. Dio’s music shaped who we are, and our performances have always been about channeling the power, emotion, and authenticity of his legacy—not just mimicking his look or stage show.

Rather than jumping on tours with mismatched lineups, we’re creating a concert experience that’s built for fans of traditional heavy metal. It’s a night where our original music shares the stage with a celebration of one of the genre’s greatest icons. This is our way to honor the roots of metal while forging our own path.”

Thrash Titans WARBRINGER Announce New Album + Explosive New Single + Video "A Better World"

Modern thrash titans WARBRINGER are thrilled to announce their highly anticipated new album, Wrath And Ruin, out March 14, 2025 via Napalm Records. With 20 years of history and millions of cross platform streams in their wake, "Best of the Year" nods from the likes of Loudwire and Consequence on 2020's Weapons Of Tomorrow, and now gearing up for a massive European tour with Decapitated and Cryptopsy this spring, WARBRINGER is poised for their next global assault with their seventh full-length studio release.

On Wrath And Ruin, WARBRINGER continues their furious assault against the powers that be with eight new explosive rippers lyrically focused on inspiring listeners to recognize strength in numbers and actualize their class power. The bonus CD, included with the 2CD and digital versions of the album, boasts 15 incendiary live versions of fan favorites recorded along their "Ravaging Europe 2023" tour. The album features pristine production by Mark Lewis, famous for his work with Cannibal Corpse, Trivium, and The Black Dahlia Murder, mastering by Justin Shturtz (Testament, Sepultura, Machine Head), and album art by the legendary Andreas Marschall, famous for his work with Kreator, Obituary, and In Flames amongst others.

Alongside the album announcement, WARBRINGER have unleashed the breakneck speed metal ripper "A Better World," lambasting ignorant optimism with forked tongue. The track arrives with a high octane official music video.

About the single and video, frontman John Kevill says, "When I was younger, I used to think the world would only get better during my life. I know now that isn’t the case. We aren't going to fix the environment even though we know the consequences, because profits would decrease, so it's not considered possible. On top of that, our societies keep getting more unequal, with a few people owning most everything, and most people just trying to keep their heads above water. We still won’t feed everyone, but we will fund development of weaponized autonomous drones, etc, etc.

"I was reading some social theory stuff (Mark Fisher) some years ago and feeling depressed about my own future in these conditions. I went to a therapist and they basically told me it was all real and legitimate, and that all they could do was give me drugs so I could pretend that I didn’t know all this. I don’t really have time to worry too much, because a bunch of bills are always due. I also stopped dreaming for a year or two, which I found scary. I tried to bottle this feeling into 'A Better World' — I don't think I'm the only one.

"The video was made by Juan Rodriguez, who we worked with on 'Crushed Beneath the Tracks,' and shows WARBRINGER going hard — what we do best. The song has a melodic death-tinged riff penned by Adam Carroll, with arrangements by thrash maestro Carlos Cruz. To me, it gives the feeling of being stuck on some accelerated loop that won’t slow down. Hope you guys enjoy the first taste of Wrath And Ruin, there’s a lot more to come!"

PALEFACE SWISS Unleash Ambitious New Album 'Cursed' & Music Video For New Track "River Of Sorrows'

The wait is over. Switzerland’s reigning, defending heavy weight champions of emotionally charged Nu-Core brutality - Paleface Swiss - have dropped their highly anticipated and most ambitious album to date, ‘Cursed,’ today. To mark the occasion, the band has also released music video for brand new track, “River of Sorrows.” This deeply emotional track offers a powerful glimpse into the album’s dark and cathartic narrative Fans can stream 'Cursed' in full now HERE and can watch the music video for "River Of Sorrows" below.

Each track on ‘Cursed’ is represented by a flower with symbolic meaning, which when combined, form the “River of Sorrows” is paired with the Purple Hyacinth, a flower representing sorrow, regret, and forgiveness. “River of Sorrows” delivers a visceral exploration of the weight of sorrow, despair and helplessness caused from being trapped in an unhealthy relationship. The track’s lyrical vulnerability is matched by its crushing intensity, underscoring the unrelenting emotional journey of the album and cementing it as the band’s most ambitious and conceptually intricate work to date.

Frontman Marc “Zelli” Zellweger explains,

“‘River of Sorrows’ is about the emotional weight of betrayal and the drowning feeling of being trapped in a one-sided connection. It’s heavy in every sense of the word—musically, lyrically, emotionally—and it’s a piece that feels deeply personal while also being universally relatable. We wanted to bring those feelings to life in a way that would truly resonate with listeners.”

The band's upcoming third full-length, ‘Cursed’ is a masterclass in modern brutality and encapsulates two years of creative exploration and raw personal experiences for the Paleface Swiss members. The band retreated to the seclusion of the Canary Islands to craft this sonic juggernaut. Collaborating with Ron Steven Deris at Misueno Studios and with long-time collaborator Florent Salfati (Landmvrks) helping to add the finishing touches, their work culminated in an album that marries the band’s signature heaviness with intricate conceptual storytelling.

The first single from the album, “Hatred”, was released in September and was recently included in Loudwire’s coveted ‘Best Rock & Metal Songs of 2024’ list and nominated for “Angriest Song of The Year” in Nik Nocturnal’s popular annual awards. The track delivering the perfect blend of bombastic nu-core swagger, incendiary rapid fire vocals, thrash-inspired guitar solos and the pummeling rhythmic section the band have become globally renowned for. The band then threw fans a huge curveball with second single "My Blood on Your Hands", which was also nominated in the Nik Nocturnal Awards 2024 for ‘Best Animal Noise'. Third single, "Love Burns" was released in early December and set the internet ablaze with praise for the dynamic song writing displayed on the track along with the band's fearlessness when it comes to pushing themselves out of their sonic comfort zone and making bold choices that definitely pay off, balancing their signature heaviness with an emotionally charged narrative and new, expansive sonic elements. To date, the 3 previously released singles have run up 3,200,000 cross-platform streams and 659,000 YouTube video views.

Speaking about the release of 'Cursed' today, Paleface Swiss collectively share

“Cursed is the piece we’ve always wanted to create. We set out to craft a cohesive concept with our music, videos, and artwork and we're very proud of the outcome. The process of making this album has been therapeutic in ways we didn’t anticipate, and we’re beyond excited to finally share it with the world. We hope to see you at a show on our upcoming headline tours and have you sing these tracks with us”

The North American run of The Cursed Tour kicks off on March 20th in Detroit, MI and will see Paleface Swiss headline 30 shows across the country hitting major cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto with special guests Stick To Your Guns and Nasty. Tickets and full routing can be found HERE

Known for their incomparable live performances and fearless approach to intense and vulnerable topics, Paleface Swiss has built a reputation as one of the most vital, unfiltered and rapidly rising forces in the world of modern metal today. With ‘Cursed’, Paleface Swissare ready to take listeners into their darkest, most intricate and artistically diverse chapter yet, combining their trademark deathcore heaviness with raw vulnerability, a rare and special combination for a band within their genre. Stay tuned, buckle up and kick back for the ride.

ABOUT PALEFACE SWISS

Since the release of their first album, 'Chapter 3: The Last Selection', independent outfit, PALEFACE SWISS have gained international recognition throughout the Deathcore and Beatdown Community. Known for their huge, aggressive riffs, brutally bombastic rhythm section, frontman, Zelli's outstanding vocals and a pinch of humor. This is Switzerland’s finest heavy music. Across their catalog, the band have gained 110 million streams, 21 million YouTube views on their own channel, and recently peaked at 1 million Spotify monthly listeners.

Chapter 3: The Last Selection’ was released on October 30th 2020, spawning four huge tracks “Curse Us”, “The Rats”, "Lights Out" and “Skalpell” which quickly ranked high in the beatdown/hardcore charts and saw the band become cover stars on Spotify’s Heavy Beatdown playlist.

In 2022 the band released their second full-length album 'Fear & Dagger'. The album was widely considered a huge step up for the band as plaudits began to roll in for frontman Zelli's vocal ability and the band's unflinching commitment to never shy away from brutally heavy riffs, face-melting technically insane guitar solos, punishing beatdowns or from facing difficult, emotional topics head on. Metal Injectionaccurately summed it up in their review by saying, "It's fun to get caught up in Paleface's unrelenting instrumentals, but Zelli's really the star of Paleface. This is largely because he treats his screams like rap bars." New Transcendence stating "Paleface have created one of the most emotionally relevant and intriguing beatdown releases to date" and Wall of Sound calling it "an unashamedly brutal and angry album".

The album shot the band into the upper echelons of the "New Wave Of Deathcore" and spawned singles "The Orphan", "Deathtouch", "Dead Man's Diary" feat. LANDMVRKS frontman Florent Salfati and fan favourite and stylistic curveball, "My Grave / Lay with Me". The album focused on more mature and critical topics related to the fears and struggles young people have to contend with in the 21st century, most importantly, the topic of mental health.

The ensuing 2 years saw the band's popularity sky-rocket. Honing their craft in the live arena, the band rapidly jumped from strength to strength, creating what is now one of the most thrilling and impactful live shows in modern metal. Their ability to win over any crowd, wether it be their own headline shows, touring the US with the likes of Body Snatcher or The Ghost Inside, touring the UK with the likes of Counterparts and Kublai Khan or at globally renowned festivals such as Sick New World, Hellfest Open Air, Summer Breeze, Cabaret Vert, Dynamo Metal Festival and more, one thing is for sure, Paleface Swiss will turn an audience into fans by the time they're done at every show they play.

To support their largely sold-out touring efforts, the band released a series of stand alone singles, "Best: Before Death" - now a staple and firm fan favourite in their live set list, "Please End Me" and "The Gallow".

Now, with the impending release of their third full-length album, 'Cursed', Paleface Swiss are set to write the next chapter or their incredible, epic journey as they reveal their most thematically and sonically ambitious album to date. Never pulling punches when it comes to heaviness, technicality or emotional vulnerability, Paleface Swiss are rewriting the rulebook on what it means to be an extreme metal band.

Koe Wetzel Hits No. 1 with “High Road" feat. Jessie Murph

Koe Wetzel caps a breakout year with another major career milestone, earning his first No. 1 single at Country radio with “High Road” featuring Jessie Murph, topping both the Billboard Country Airplay and Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country charts this week while also Top 20 Hot AC and Top 25 at Top 40.

“Look at us with a No. 1! Jessie, you’re a beast of a singer and writer, glad we share this one together. Amy, Carrie, Laura, Serrato and Gabe, it’s an honor any time we’re in a room together,” shares Wetzel. “It’s been an unbelievable year and to cap it off with this is just unreal. Huge shoutout to the fans for already making this one Platinum, to our promo team for working their asses off all year and to Country radio for taking a chance on a kid from East Texas.”

Released in July as his fifth studio album, 9 Lives has proven to be a defining album for Wetzel, earning recognition on multiple year-end best-of lists, including Rolling Stone, Billboard, the Tennessean, Holler and more, with the Los AngelesTimes naming “High Road” specifically as the No. 8 best song of 2024 across all genres.

“High Road” showcases the mature level of vulnerability that defines the still hard-rocking album as a whole:

As Wetzel dominates the year-end airwaves, he’s also spreading holiday cheer with the recent release of his new holiday EP, Koe Wetzel Presents…Wetzel's Wonderland Chapter 2. Featuring four new reimagined classics, the project continues a tradition that Wetzel’s began last year, now boasting seven songs total. This holiday spirit will come alive later this week when Wetzel takes the stage for two special shows in his home state of Texas for Wetzel’s Wonderland Live, set for Friday, Dec. 27 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth and Saturday, Dec. 28 at Moody Center in Austin. Limited tickets remain available HERE.

About Koe Wetzel
Koe Wetzel never met a genre wall he couldn’t tear down: The Texas singer-songwriter has earned a rabid audience for his songs that mix country, rock, hip-hop, and even Nineties grunge. His 2016 album Noise Complaint endeared him to fans with its no- holds-barred lyrics about drunken nights, broken hearts and stints in jail, and included the Gold-certified hits “Love” (feat. Parker McCollum), “Something to Talk About” and the infamous “February 28, 2016.” Wetzel’s 2020 major label debut, Sellout, only furthered his legend with the Platinum-certified “Drunk Driving” and “Good Die Young” plus the Gold-certified “Kuntry & Wistern.” The 2022 follow-up, Hell Paso, hit No. 3 on Billboard’s Country Albums and spawned hits on both the country and rock charts, including the Gold-certified “Creeps” and “Cabo.” To date, Wetzel has 3.4 billion total streams and has created a genuine experience with his live concerts, which he describes as “total chaos.” In 2023 alone, he sold more than 275,000 tickets, and appeared for a third time on POLLSTAR’s Top Worldwide Tours. Wetzel played prominent festival sets this summer and opened for Morgan Wallen on the superstar’s One Night at a Time Stadium Tour in Texas, while also headlining his own recently-wrapped Damn Near Normal World Tour. His new album, 9 Lives (Columbia), is available everywhere now as Platinum-certified lead single “High Road” with Jessie Murph marks his first No. 1 Country radio single while also climbing both the Hot AC and Top 40 charts.

He continues, "This will be a place where artists from around the world, Japanese artists, and people who resonate with music can unite as one. HYPER PLANET breaks the boundaries of traditional rock festivals by featuring music that has shaped us — genres like hip-hop, electronic and more. Here, you'll experience a world where music knows no borders."

Each one saw the band blend its love of punk rock, metal, and electronic music in daring new ways. "Good art is how I express myself to other people. It's hard to talk from the bottom of my heart, that's why I write these songs," Koie says. In keeping with their progressive musical journey, 2020's SPECIES EP saw the band continue to push their own sonic soundscape to new grounds. The band dropped the pandemic-penned single "Gimme Danger" in 2022.

ALIEN WEAPONRY to Support Kerry King (Slayer) along “North American Headline Tour 2025”

Following the Tribeca film festival debut of their documentary, "Alien Weaponry: Kua Tupu Te Ara," New Zealand's global metal frontrunners, ALIEN WEAPONRY are slated to join the legendary Kerry King with his new band (featuring members of Slayer, HELLYEAH, Machine Head, and Death Angel) as well as special guests Municipal Waste on King’s bombastic “North American Headline Tour 2025!” The tour is set to launch in San Francisco on January 15, 2025, and wrap at House of Blues in Las Vegas on February 22.

ALIEN WEAPONRY won over fans and critics alike with their latest album, 'Tangaroa.' The album coalesces the band’s growing maturation with an undisturbed songwriting process, resulting in their most inspired, honest and informed material yet. In addition to lyrics written in te reo Māori, many 'Tangaroa' tracks feature traditional instruments, called taonga puoro, providing the tracks their own warrior-like attitude. While ALIEN WEAPONRY sourced inspiration from their culture and environmental surroundings while writing most of 'Tangaroa,' the band also looked inward - drawing vision for other portions of the album from within.

Extreme Metal Legends NILE Kick Off "Revenge Of The Underworld"

American death metal legends NILE are set to unleash their ferocious live show along their impending North American co-headline tour with Six Feet Under! Featuring support from Psycroptic and Embryonic Autopsy, the tour begins January 7, 2025, in Nashville, TN hitting several major cities including Atlanta, Albany, Pittsburgh, and Las Vegas before concluding in Houston TX on February 22, 2025.

This tour follows the band's recent critical smash hit and Napalm Records debut album, 'The Underworld Awaits Us All,' released August 23, 2024. The record appeared in multiple year-end lists including Loudwire's "51 Best Rock And Metal Albums of 2025" and Metal Injection's fifth Best Album of 2024, with BraveWords lauding that "Nile as a quintet in 2024 sounding alarmingly vital and youthful." After three decades of decimation, NILE remains viscously hungry and The Underworld Awaits Us All is a ferocious testament to their monumental legacy.
