AUSTIN MEADE Shares Title Track for New EP 'PRETTY LITTLE WAIST' via Snakefarm NOW!

Texan rocker AUSTIN MEADE brings together all his recent singles into one fresh EP, 'PRETTY LITTLE WAIST.' Released via Snakefarm , the EP arrives alongside the brand-new single of the same name.

About "PRETTY LITTLE WAIST," MEADE comments:

"The main guitar riff was a regular sound check jam for a few months straight out of Willie’s brain. I was pumped to arrange it into a full song and push the limits on how heavy we could make the track feel. Kile Odell (producer) and Keith Wallen (Breaking Benjamin) helped us push the envelope there. I threw in quite a few lyrics intentionally referencing back to the 'Abstract Art' record. It was intriguing to play with the ‘waste of time’ and view of a ‘pretty little waist’ all within the same song. I love to hear the wide range we have been able to cover sonically from my original records up to this point. This is the heaviest headbanger we’ve released to date."

MEADE will be announcing his Christmas tour during the second week of November. 2025 tour dates will be announced shortly as well!

Thanks to his metal and classic-rock-loving dad, MEADE got to see bands like Judas Priestand he worshipped Whitesnake. In junior high, he related to the intense emo-rock of Paramore and Fall Out Boy, and the power of songwriters like John Mayer.

Yet, with gratitude to plainspoken but deep heartland songwriters like Tom Petty, and cutting his teeth touring in the Texas and Oklahoma Red Dirt scene, MEADE’s music overflows with wide-open soulfulness. He was a drummer for years, even teaching to pay the bills, but MEADE found his true voice when he began playing guitar as a teen in his pastor father’s church. Those experiences lend both a gravitas and rebelliousness to MEADE’s songs and self.

Now the frontman of his band and slinging guitar licks with expert precision, his music rolled out with two releases in 2014, his first EP 'Long Ways To Go' followed by his first full-length album 'Chief Of The Sinners.' His next EP 'Heartbreak Coming' came in 2016 with a couple of singles to announce his commencement on the Texas Music Chart, followed by his second full-length album 'Waves' in 2019. In 2021, MEADE introduced his third LP 'Black Sheep' including the hit tracks "Happier Alone," "Cave In," "Dopamine Drop," and "Deja Vu." MEADE released his fourth LP 'Abstract Art Of An Unstable Mind' in the Fall of 2022, further showcasing his ability to seamlessly blend genres into a groovy yet piercingly fresh sound of rock 'n' roll.

The singer/guitarist has shared the video for "Red Roof Estates" and it's full of his signature, tongue-in-cheek charm. It's the second in Meade's planned trilogy of song and video releases, and he is pleased with how the track took on a decidedly disco feel.

Austin Meade Has a "Loser Mentality" — LISTEN

Austin Meade has a loser mentality!

The gifted singer, songwriter, and guitarist has shared the brand new song "Loser Mentality," and it's a contemplative ballad that showcases his gift for relatable lyrics and wordplay, as well as the thoughtful side of his musical personality.

"Loser Mentality" examines the cyclical nature of culture and how what was once uncool will eventually become exactly the opposite. Meade even welcomes the return of the '90s in the catchy chorus, since what's old is always new again.

The song is a one-off release, as Meade is putting the finishing touches on a new album due out next year.

Listen to "Loser Mentality" below.

"'Loser Mentality' is a personal reminder to stop giving a shit about what all the cool kids are doing," Meade affirms. "You can't make something new and different by copying the cool kids; then it all looks and sounds the same. Go against the trends and be a loser for a while; they'll eventually look back and start copying you."

Meade, who is a little bit country, a little bit rock, and a whole lotta heart, recently shared the slightly NSFW video for "Dopamine Drop." The song appears on Meade's Snakefarm debut Black Sheep, out now. Get it here.

AUSTIN MEADE SHARES NSFW "DOPAMINE DROP" VIDEO

VIDEO CAPTURES THE LIFE ON THE ROAD OF A CONSTANTLY ON-TOUR ARTIST

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Austin Meade, who is a little bit country, a little bit rock, and a whole lotta heart, has released the slightly NSFW video for "Dopamine Drop." Watch it below.

The video captures life on the road and the tour grind. There's plenty of backstage antics and hijinks, tattoo sessions, truck stops, blowup dolls, the partying, the good times, and of course, lots and lots of performances.

"This year, we have been crazy busy, in new areas all over the country," Meade reflects about the video, which offers a slice of road life. "It's hard to look back and remember all the new things happening at once, so I wanted to document some of the 2021 tour and give everyone a raw look at the road. The only way to keep a band together after months of overnight drives, and limited personal space, is by loosening up and enjoying the small stuff. 'Dopamine Drop' was written about that exact feeling, so it was the right song for the footage. A huge thanks to my crew for sticking out the long hours and thanks to all of our new road family for making this year a big milestone for us."

The song appears on the artist's Snakefarm Records' debut Black Sheep, which is out now. Get it here.

The video arrives at the perfect time, as Meade is currently on tour, with additional dates booked into 2022. All confirmed dates are below.

AUSTIN MEADE SHARES VIDEO FOR NEW VERSION OF "HAPPIER ALONE" FEATURING KOE WETZEL

NEW ALBUM BLACK SHEEP ARRIVES MARCH 19, 2021

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Austin Meade has shared the video for the new version of his song "Happier Alone," featuring new Columbia Records phenom Koe Wetzel.

"Koe has been a big supporter, and our bands have been friends for a while," Meade explains about how the collaboration came to be. "He was really into 'Happier Alone' before we even put it out, so the rest just happened naturally. The dude has a killer voice and I really like the way he finds melodies and interesting phrases with lyrics. It was important to me that this feature was with someone I respected and could relate to. We cut his new part while out on a run of shows and came up with a new storyline/perspective to the video that is hilarious. It's too much damn fun to joke around for a living."

Meade also reveals that this song is arriving on not one but two very special occasions, sharing, "This version is coming out on the one-year anniversary of the original 'Happier Alone' — just in time to give Valentine's Day the middle finger once more."

Wetzel weighed in regarding his participation, saying, "Whenever Ii first heard the song, I was like, 'Damn, this shit is awesome.' It turned out to be our lake song for the summer of 2020. So when Meade asked me to cut a verse on it, I was honored. I've always been a fan of his style of writing, and putting together music, I hope we can nail down some more tunes in the future."

The Koe Wetzel-assisted version of "Happier Alone" is a standalone single. The original version appears on Meade's upcoming Snakefarm Records' debut Black Sheep, which arrives on March 19, 2021. The album is available for pre-order here.

If you are "Happier Alone" this Valentine's Day, why not send an anti-V Day e-card? Go here to share.

SNAKEFARM SIGNS SINGER/SONGWRITER/GUITARIST AUSTIN MEADE

Austin Meade's official music video for 'Happier Alone' from the album Black Sheep - out February 19th on Snakefarm Records http://austinmeade.merchnow.com h...

NEW ALBUM BLACK SHEEP ARRIVES FEBRUARY 19, 2021

Snakefarm Records is pleased to announce the signing of singer, songwriter, and guitarist Austin Meade to the roster. Meade and his music sprung up from the Red Dirt music scene, as he deftly fuses country and rock 'n' roll in a DNA-distinct way.

Meade will release his label debut Black Sheep on February 19, 2021.

To herald the announcement, the artist has shared the video for "Happier Alone." The track is already shaping up to be a hit, surpassing 2 million streams in the U.S. alone.

"I played this song at least 30 times the first day we wrote it," Meade explains, offering some insight into the track and its accompanying visual "For me, it doesn't get old and the idea for the video was sitting in my head for a few months. It's a tip of the hat to my high school hometown: Brenham, Texas. I've always wanted to go back and shoot a video with old friends in the places that we loved hanging out when we were younger. So we got a killer crew together and made it happen."

He continues, "'Happier Alone' turned into the exact early 2000's sound that I've always loved, and the video keeps that nostalgic aura alive. 'You could be happier alone' is a pretty heavy statement when standing alone as text on a page. But the music and video give you a peek inside our true intentions of keeping life funny and enjoying the small moments — like an old roller rink couple's skate."

About the signing, Meade shares, "I'm excited to have an opportunity to work with a team that believes in what we are doing. We could have all made excuses for this year to be a wash. But instead, kept moving and built one hell of a crew. The Black Sheep crew is coming for you."
