AUSTIN MEADE Shares Title Track for New EP 'PRETTY LITTLE WAIST' via Snakefarm NOW!

Texan rocker AUSTIN MEADE brings together all his recent singles into one fresh EP, 'PRETTY LITTLE WAIST.' Released via Snakefarm , the EP arrives alongside the brand-new single of the same name.

About "PRETTY LITTLE WAIST," MEADE comments:

"The main guitar riff was a regular sound check jam for a few months straight out of Willie’s brain. I was pumped to arrange it into a full song and push the limits on how heavy we could make the track feel. Kile Odell (producer) and Keith Wallen (Breaking Benjamin) helped us push the envelope there. I threw in quite a few lyrics intentionally referencing back to the 'Abstract Art' record. It was intriguing to play with the ‘waste of time’ and view of a ‘pretty little waist’ all within the same song. I love to hear the wide range we have been able to cover sonically from my original records up to this point. This is the heaviest headbanger we’ve released to date."

MEADE will be announcing his Christmas tour during the second week of November. 2025 tour dates will be announced shortly as well!

Thanks to his metal and classic-rock-loving dad, MEADE got to see bands like Judas Priestand he worshipped Whitesnake. In junior high, he related to the intense emo-rock of Paramore and Fall Out Boy, and the power of songwriters like John Mayer.

Yet, with gratitude to plainspoken but deep heartland songwriters like Tom Petty, and cutting his teeth touring in the Texas and Oklahoma Red Dirt scene, MEADE’s music overflows with wide-open soulfulness. He was a drummer for years, even teaching to pay the bills, but MEADE found his true voice when he began playing guitar as a teen in his pastor father’s church. Those experiences lend both a gravitas and rebelliousness to MEADE’s songs and self.

Now the frontman of his band and slinging guitar licks with expert precision, his music rolled out with two releases in 2014, his first EP 'Long Ways To Go' followed by his first full-length album 'Chief Of The Sinners.' His next EP 'Heartbreak Coming' came in 2016 with a couple of singles to announce his commencement on the Texas Music Chart, followed by his second full-length album 'Waves' in 2019. In 2021, MEADE introduced his third LP 'Black Sheep' including the hit tracks "Happier Alone," "Cave In," "Dopamine Drop," and "Deja Vu." MEADE released his fourth LP 'Abstract Art Of An Unstable Mind' in the Fall of 2022, further showcasing his ability to seamlessly blend genres into a groovy yet piercingly fresh sound of rock 'n' roll.

Austin Meade Is Checking In to "Red Roof Estates" — WATCH

Austin Meade, a nimble guitar hero and masterful lyricist who meshes humor with a whole lotta heart in his riff-driven compositions, is bringing disco back. No, really!

The singer/guitarist has shared the video for "Red Roof Estates" and it's full of his signature, tongue-in-cheek charm. It's the second in Meade's planned trilogy of song and video releases, and he is pleased with how the track took on a decidedly disco feel.

Watch the video below.

"'Red Roof Estates' is a look further into the future with some of the same characters from 'Varsity Type,'" he says, referencing the song and video drop from earlier this month. "It's disco time, baby. I've always wanted to write a disco rocker and I think we finally did it. I'm a big fan of the solo that Willie [TK] threw in here. It was a one-take wonder."

As mentioned, Meade kicked off the endless summer with the video for "Varsity Type." The tongue-in-cheek clip featured a poolside party and plenty of red Solo cups. Watch it here.

The White Buffalo Releasing Deluxe Edition of "On The Widow's Walk" + Shares "The Drifter" Feat. Shooter Jennings — LISTEN

Originally released on the cusp of the pandemic in April 2020, On The Widow's Walk is the sixth studio outing from The White Buffalo — the touring/recording persona of singer/songwriter/guitarist, Jake Smith. He's a seasoned teller of stories and Emmy nominee.

On The Widow's Walk is being re-issued in expanded and re-packaged form by Snakefarm. Get it here.

Listen to the new and acoustic version of "The Drifter" featuring Shooter Jennings below.

This new version, featuring revised artwork and four bonus tracks, is set to be released digitally on April 15. It will follow on CD on April 22. It's a collection of dark thrills topped off by Smith's timber-shakin' baritone, with water and the ocean as underlying themes, and a sense of longing, too.

The 11 core tracks on the album were produced by Shooter Jennings, Grammy-winning son of Waylon, whose previous credits include both Brandi Carlile and Tanya Tucker. Shooter also plays piano on 3 of the 4 bonus tracks — acoustic, live-in-the-studio renditions of some of the record's prime moments. The fourth bonus track is "Guiding Light," a full band plea to the gods never previously available on a physical release.

On The Widow's Walk is a compelling statement from a unique artist whose songs are consistently mined by the worlds of TV and film; and now, with uncontrived, hand-crafted music receiving increased levels of attention, the timing is perfect for this powerful, provoking album to be spotlighted once more.

Smith adds, "On The Widow's Walk was nearly buried in the storm of a pandemic and social unrest. Now, finally able to tour again, coming to the UK and Europe in mid-April after two years of waiting, we are releasing a special deluxe edition. With merely myself and producer/ pianist Shooter Jennings, this new addition includes three stripped down, live studio versions of three songs from the album. it also includes the first physical release of the song 'Guiding Light.'"

On The Widow’s Walk is a compelling, gimmick-free statement from an artist, now based in Southern California, whose activity between the musical lines has seen his star very much on the rise, playing to a million followers worldwide, achieving over 200 million streams to date, and securing a Top 10 spot in the TV/Film Syncs Chart for 2019. Smith's songwriting and honest storytelling shines through in On The Widow's Walk. At its core, The White Buffalo is about engagement. The White Buffalo makes people laugh and cry. The White Buffalo is truth and wild imagination working together.

Austin Meade Shares NSFW "Dopamine Drop" Video — WATCH

AUSTIN MEADE SHARES NSFW "DOPAMINE DROP" VIDEO

VIDEO CAPTURES THE LIFE ON THE ROAD OF A CONSTANTLY ON-TOUR ARTIST

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Austin Meade, who is a little bit country, a little bit rock, and a whole lotta heart, has released the slightly NSFW video for "Dopamine Drop." Watch it below.

The video captures life on the road and the tour grind. There's plenty of backstage antics and hijinks, tattoo sessions, truck stops, blowup dolls, the partying, the good times, and of course, lots and lots of performances.

"This year, we have been crazy busy, in new areas all over the country," Meade reflects about the video, which offers a slice of road life. "It's hard to look back and remember all the new things happening at once, so I wanted to document some of the 2021 tour and give everyone a raw look at the road. The only way to keep a band together after months of overnight drives, and limited personal space, is by loosening up and enjoying the small stuff. 'Dopamine Drop' was written about that exact feeling, so it was the right song for the footage. A huge thanks to my crew for sticking out the long hours and thanks to all of our new road family for making this year a big milestone for us."

The song appears on the artist's Snakefarm Records' debut Black Sheep, which is out now. Get it here.

AUSTIN MEADE SHARES VIDEO FOR NEW VERSION OF "HAPPIER ALONE" FEATURING KOE WETZEL

NEW ALBUM BLACK SHEEP ARRIVES MARCH 19, 2021

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Austin Meade has shared the video for the new version of his song "Happier Alone," featuring new Columbia Records phenom Koe Wetzel.

"Koe has been a big supporter, and our bands have been friends for a while," Meade explains about how the collaboration came to be. "He was really into 'Happier Alone' before we even put it out, so the rest just happened naturally. The dude has a killer voice and I really like the way he finds melodies and interesting phrases with lyrics. It was important to me that this feature was with someone I respected and could relate to. We cut his new part while out on a run of shows and came up with a new storyline/perspective to the video that is hilarious. It's too much damn fun to joke around for a living."

Meade also reveals that this song is arriving on not one but two very special occasions, sharing, "This version is coming out on the one-year anniversary of the original 'Happier Alone' — just in time to give Valentine's Day the middle finger once more."

Wetzel weighed in regarding his participation, saying, "Whenever Ii first heard the song, I was like, 'Damn, this shit is awesome.' It turned out to be our lake song for the summer of 2020. So when Meade asked me to cut a verse on it, I was honored. I've always been a fan of his style of writing, and putting together music, I hope we can nail down some more tunes in the future."

The Koe Wetzel-assisted version of "Happier Alone" is a standalone single. The original version appears on Meade's upcoming Snakefarm Records' debut Black Sheep, which arrives on March 19, 2021. The album is available for pre-order here.

If you are "Happier Alone" this Valentine's Day, why not send an anti-V Day e-card? Go here to share.

SNAKEFARM SIGNS SINGER/SONGWRITER/GUITARIST AUSTIN MEADE

Austin Meade's official music video for 'Happier Alone' from the album Black Sheep - out February 19th on Snakefarm Records http://austinmeade.merchnow.com h...

NEW ALBUM BLACK SHEEP ARRIVES FEBRUARY 19, 2021

Snakefarm Records is pleased to announce the signing of singer, songwriter, and guitarist Austin Meade to the roster. Meade and his music sprung up from the Red Dirt music scene, as he deftly fuses country and rock 'n' roll in a DNA-distinct way.

Meade will release his label debut Black Sheep on February 19, 2021.

To herald the announcement, the artist has shared the video for "Happier Alone." The track is already shaping up to be a hit, surpassing 2 million streams in the U.S. alone.

"I played this song at least 30 times the first day we wrote it," Meade explains, offering some insight into the track and its accompanying visual "For me, it doesn't get old and the idea for the video was sitting in my head for a few months. It's a tip of the hat to my high school hometown: Brenham, Texas. I've always wanted to go back and shoot a video with old friends in the places that we loved hanging out when we were younger. So we got a killer crew together and made it happen."

He continues, "'Happier Alone' turned into the exact early 2000's sound that I've always loved, and the video keeps that nostalgic aura alive. 'You could be happier alone' is a pretty heavy statement when standing alone as text on a page. But the music and video give you a peek inside our true intentions of keeping life funny and enjoying the small moments — like an old roller rink couple's skate."

About the signing, Meade shares, "I'm excited to have an opportunity to work with a team that believes in what we are doing. We could have all made excuses for this year to be a wash. But instead, kept moving and built one hell of a crew. The Black Sheep crew is coming for you."

NEW ALBUM PRESSURE ARRIVES OCTOBER 16 RELEASE VIA SNAKEFARM RECORDS

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown have just dropped the lyric video for the new song "Holdin' My Breath."

"'Holdin' My Breath' was written long before the pandemic," Tyler Bryant says. "It was written before any of the madness. When we started compiling songs for the new album, this song stood out. The lyrics hit us harder than they did when the song was originally written. While it felt pertinent to the times, it gave us a sense of hope. Adding our friend Charlie Starr from Blackberry Smoke only elevated this feeling. We hope it can evoke the same for the listener as we all hold tight for better days."

The Nashville-based band dealt with a world tipped into turmoil during the global pandemic by creating new music amid lockdown conditions. The end result is their fourth album Pressure, out on October 16 via Snakefarm Records worldwide. Pressure is career-best work forged during turbulent times.

Pressure is available to pre-order here. Pre-save the album to your digital streaming platform of choice here.

Pre-order our new album 'PRESSURE' now! Released 16th October: https://TBSD.lnk.to/Pressure Music video by Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown performing Crazy Days...

THE ALBUM'S 13 FRESH TRACKS WERE RECORDED IN LOCKDOWN MODE

BAND SHARES VIDEO FOR LEAD SINGLE "CRAZY DAYS"

For Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, the best way to engage with a world tipped into turmoil was to create new music. It's easier said than done in socially distanced times. But for these Nashville-based musicians, the challenge was there to be grasped.

The group will release its new full length Pressure on October 16 via Snakefarm Records worldwide.

Pressure is available to pre-order here. Pre-save the album to your digital streaming platform of choice here.

The song is the first track to emerge. It was written and recorded at the start of lockdown. It's an instinctive howl at the moon — upbeat, hopeful, talking of the times.

"I was imagining nights out with my friends, packed concerts, and so many other things that felt beyond reach," reflects vocalist/guitarist Tyler Bryant. "Music has always allowed us to travel to a different place, and this song made us feel good right away. I truly hope it makes others feel the same."

"Crazy Days" needed to be shared, and it wasn't long before the quarantine clip (featuring Bryant and his wife Rebecca Lovell, one-half of roots rock duo Larkin Poe) was causing an online stir.

But why stop there?

With a house full of gear, plus the support of producer Roger Alan Nichols, a longstanding friend, maybe an EP could be crafted. Four new tracks, possibly even six?

But why stop there?

Like every act, The Shakedown's live schedule was now sitting on the shelf. So here was a chance to focus on the 30-to-40 new songs they had in their locker and turn the EP into something greater.

The result is Pressure, which is their fourth studio album. It features 13 new numbers, including a re-recorded version of "Crazy Days," plus guest appearances from Lovell on three tracks, along with Blackberry Smoke's Charlie Starr on "Holdin' My Breath."

Pressure is a record with a clear theme and a never-say-die spirit.

The band says, "We were backed into a corner with the world shutting down and knew our only response was to turn up loud in a basement and make something. Everyone feels pressure in their life at certain points, it's often difficult to know how to cope, and this was our way of dealing with things. There were countless limitations to making this album in lockdown. But these limitations ultimately fueled us creatively. We had no rules, and the road blocks we encountered forced us to find other ways to the destination we were hell bent on reaching."

TBSD finishes, "Our goal with this album was to empower ourselves to push back against the pressures we were feeling until something beautiful happened. We hope it inspires others to do the same. Now is the time for us to send the needle into the red."

With bassist Noah Denney having recently left the ranks on friendly terms, it was down to Bryant, drummer Caleb Crosby, and guitarist Graham Whitford to cast obstacles aside, reach for the bass when required (since Bryant handles most of these parts) and focus in on their collective mission, with new compositions ("Hitchhiker," "Coastin'") coming to life in the process.

This wasn’t a quest for technical perfection, this was all about bottling the moment, tapping into emotion, and allowing the full range of the material to shine through, from full-tilt rockers to rootsier, more atmospheric moments.

It's career-best work forged in turbulent times.
