NYC collective Gramercy Arms present 'Yesterday's Girl' ft. Lloyd Cole, previewing 'Deleted Scene' LP

"Gentle and perfectly arranged, it is both calming and genuine, straightforward and talented, giving space and voice everywhere that the song and its story requires... clearly at a different level of musical maturity.. A hidden Americana-indiepop gem, Gramercy Arms show that music truly is a journey" ~ The Spill Magazine

NYC-based indie rock / powerpop outfit Gramercy Arms presents their Americana-tinged single 'Yesterday's Girl', a bittersweet remembrance of love lost and friendship regained. This is the first taste of their 'Deleted Scene' album, scheduled for release via the Magic Door Record Label in early 2023,

Co-written by Gramercy Arms frontman Dave Derby and music legend Lloyd Cole, this song was originally penned for Darlene Love’s solo album 'Introducing Darlene Love'. Artfully reimagined by Derby and producer Ray Ketchem as a duet with Derby and Renée Lo Bue (Elk City, Flowers of America) trading vocals for the Gramercy Arms version. The colorful video, directed by acclaimed visual artist Debora Francis, features Derby and Lo Bue.

'Deleted Scene' is the group’s third full-length album, following 'The Seasons of Love' (2012) and 'Gramercy Arms'. Lyrically driven and rich on vocal-harmony, interspersed with elements of 60s sunshine pop and folk-rock, Gramercy Arms is a revolving collective of musicians and artists masterminded by Dave Derby (The Dambuilders, Lloyd Cole),

Produced, recorded and mixed by Ray Ketchem (Guided By Voices, Luna, Elk City) at Magic Door Recording with additional recording by Lloyd Cole, this album was mastered by award-winning engineer Greg Calbi (John Lennon, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, Tom Petty, Bill Frisell, Todd Rundgren).

“Being asked to sing one-half of the lead part on 'Yesterday's Girl' was a wonderful surprise. I showed up at Magic Door Recording prepared to do backing vocals. It was Ray Ketchem who suggested a duet during the session. It's an honor to sing the female lead part on a Lloyd Cole/Dave Derby penned song, originally written for Darlene Love,” says Renée LoBue.

Lloyd Cole further notes: “As I recall, we wrote very quickly hoping to channel Springsteen channeling Spector, with copious help from Blanton’s of Kentucky. I’d completely forgotten it until Dave presented this version and it feels like I won the lottery. It is wonderful. Very happy to have my name in the credits."

Inspired by the artistic heyday of ‘70s and ‘80s-era New York City, Gramercy Arms makes addictive indie pop - exquisite hook-laden melodies filled with lyrics that will have you floating back in time, remembering your favorite mistake.

Apart from Lloyd Cole, 'Deleted Scene' is a star-studded affair, also involving members of Guided by Voices, Phillip Glass Ensemble, The Dambuilders, Nada Surf, Luna, Elk City, Aeon Station, The Little River Band, Lloyd Cole and the Negatives, Elk City and Joan As Police Woman, among others.

As of November 16, 'Yesterday's Girl' will be available across online platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify. It will also be downloadable via Bandcamp, where the album can be pre-ordered.

Brooklyn alternative rock outfit A Cloud of Ravens present biting 'Nature of Artifice' single

“Their sound, though inspired by bands of their youth, is not rooted stubbornly in the past - their music feels of this time, with their messages transversing the cosmos” ~ Post-Punk.com

“A Cloud of Ravens impress not only for the dark poetry, which forms and develops in the band’s lyrics and expands in their alluring titles, but the duo also rivet through their gritty and immediate sonic scheme, which feels pitch dark and hard as nails”Destroy // Exist

"A perfect blend of an homage to the past and the modern construction of the future. A heroic journey through a desolate land" ~ Sounds and Shadows

“They play cold wave, they play post-punk, they are Gothics, and they set to music some of the most striking lyrics you can find out there” ~ White Light // White Heat

NYC-based alternative rock / post-punk duo A Cloud of Ravens present their new single 'Nature of Artifice'. Following lead track 'The Blackest Mantra', this is the second taste of their third full-length album 'Lost Hymns', to  be released in early 2023 via Berlin-based Nexilis Records, a division of Schubert Music Europe.

Formed in 2018 in Brooklyn by Matthew McIntosh (guitar and vocals) and Beth Narducci (bass guitar), the duo began work on this new album in the spring of 2021. Completed by autumn, this LP was mastered by ACTORS' Jason Corbett at Jacknife Sound studio in Vancouver.

"The song 'Nature of Artifice' is about choosing to bury your head in the sand, rather than confronting glaring societal ills and moral injustices. It’s easier to get lost in the minutia of our click and swipe modern world than watch its blessings crumble around us. To some extent, none of us are blameless," says Matthew McIntosh.

At the outset, A Cloud of Ravens hit the ground running with a string of self-released offerings, making their mark in the burgeoning contemporary dark music scene and garnering attention that would result in a one-off release date for their 2021 album 'Another Kind of Midnight', a mournful yet triumphant collection exploring the heart of a world amidst a devastating pandemic and torn by moral tribalism.

Effectively merging classic and contemporary post-punk and darkwave sensibilities, their somewhat poetic use of prose and metaphor expressed the trials and joys of the world in which we now find ourselves. A Cloud of Ravens' subsequent remix-based EP featured reimagined tracks by legendary producer John Fryer and such prominent artists as Clan of Xymox, ACTORS, Chris Vrenna and Ritual Howls.

On November 11, 'Nature of Artifice' will be available across digital outlets, including Apple MusicSpotify, Amazon and Bandcamp. The full 'Lost Hymns' album will be released on February 24, 2023.

The band will be playing their final show of the year on December 17 at Prohibition River Live in Nyack, NY. Towards mid-2023, fans can already look forward to North American tour dates with Clan of Xymox and Curse Mackey.

Greek metal titans ROTTING CHRIST are now announcing a North American headliner with support from label-mates CARACH ANGREN and GAEREA as well as Eisenwald artist UADA! The "Under Our Black Cult" trek will kick off on February 16 in Houston, TX and will lay waste to the nation until the final curtain draws on March 14 in Orlando, FL! The full itinerary, ticket links, and information on the bands can be found below!

Prior to the tour, ROTTING CHRIST will be performing two pummeling sets on the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise, including a very special anniversary set for their seminal album, 'Thy Mighty Contract.' The ship sets sail from Miami on January 30 and will return to port on February 3!

ROTTING CHRIST have reached another peak in their long career that now spans over more than three decades. The Greeks have literally stood the test of time. With a steady core line-up and their well-honed live delivery, ROTTING CHRIST are filling concert halls and reap enthusiastic crowd reactions wherever they go. This demonstration of love from their followers is not just driven by nostalgia as the band has managed to evolve and grow, while staying relevant beyond the classics with their highly acclaimed latest albums such as 'Aealo' (2010), 'Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού’ (2013), and 'Rituals' (2016).

Now, with the new offering 'The Heretics', ROTTING CHRIST are opening a brand new chapter. With confidence and skills derived from experience, each song represents its own sonic universe. Guitarist and vocalist Sakis Tolis in collaboration with his brother Themis on drums achieve a perfect balance of amalgamating their classic and unique style of riffing and rhythm with exciting new elements sprinkled in to keep their material exciting and fresh. The experienced is enhanced by Jens Bogren's equally clear and transparent yet also massive as well as sombre mix and mastering at his widely renowned Fascination Street Studios (AMORPHIS, BORKNAGAR, MOONSPELL, DEVIN TOWNSEND, and many more).

ROTTING CHRIST were founded by Sakis Tolis and his brother Themis in the year 1987. Starting out on a basis of death and grind, the Greeks had already embarked on a darker musical journey by the time their debut full-length ‘Thy Mighty Contract’ (1993) was revealed. On the following seven albums covering a ten-year period from 'Non Serviam' (1994) to 'Sanctus Diavolos' (2004), ROTTING CHRIST steadily defined their own distinct style by experimenting with elements from death, heavy, and gothic metal without betraying their black roots. At the same time, the band went from underground heroes to headliner status. With the highly acclaimed ninth album, 'Theogonia' (2007), the Greek stalwarts added an unmistakable native element to their sound, which has remained with them as a signature trademark ever since. Exploring the mythical legacy of cultures around the globe led to ROTTING CHRIST's massively successful latest release, 'Rituals' (2016). With more than 30 years, 13 studio albums, a dozen EPs, singles and split releases, as well as more than 1.250 shows under their belt, 2018 marked the year of 'Their Greatest Spells' (2018), where they musically revisited their exciting legacy to connect their past with the present.

'The Heretics' marks another step in the evolution of the Greek masters. Buckle up for a fascinating musical ride through the woes of religious wars, Zoroastrianism and the eternal war between good and evil.  Metal at its best!

The Dutch masters of horror are back with their most flamboyant album so far. On 'Franckensteina Strataemontanus', CARACH ANGREN resurrect the gruesome story of troubled soul ‘Conrad Dippel’; the inspiration of Mary Shelly’s novel 'Frankenstein'.

CARACH ANGREN have extended all the sonic colours on their established palette to dazzling effect. Their trademark whipping guitars are weaving harsh melodies and sinister soundscapes, which are beautifully contrasted by opulent keyboards and majestic orchestrations. That Till Lindemann (RAMMSTEIN) and Peter Tägtgren (PAIN) have called upon the composition talent of Clemens "Ardek" Wijers is a telling sign of his outstanding mastery of the craft. Another signatory counterpoint is provided by Seregor's fierce rasping and shrieking vocals. Adding to the impact, Namtar has become a relentless driving force with his hart hitting yet intricate drumming. Each track on this album is a highlight on its own, while combined 'Franckensteina Strataemontanus ' simply shines.

CARACH ANGREN set out to tell ghost-stories with a set of paranormal cases recorded on the demo 'The Chase Vault Tragedy' (2004). This was soon followed by the official release of the 'Ethereal Veiled Existence' EP (2005) as a prelude to the haunting 'Lammendam' (2008). The Dutch had a clear vision of combining a dark baroque style of metal with horror based lyrical concepts. Their sophomore full-length 'Death Came through a Phantom Ship' (2010) witnessed the band setting sail to bring their eccentric and capturing live performances to audiences and festivals all over Europe. In the wake of third album 'Where the Corpses Sink Forever' (2012), the haunting had reached the Americas and started to spread rapidly. This record added a serious side to the lyrics of CARACH ANGREN. While firmly remaining in the horror genre, their tales revolve around the evils of war. This mature streak was taken a step further with the fourth full-length 'This Is No Fairytale', which is on the surface a darker variation of the "Hansel and Gretel" story from the Brothers Grimm collection, but also deals with the too real topic of child abuse in a dysfunctional family. With ‘Dance And Laugh Amongst The Rotten’ (2017), the band returned to pure story telling with episodes that are centred on a girl playing a little too long with her Ouija board.

Now, CARACH ANGREN return with the monster ‘Franckensteina Strataemontanus’, where the Dutch have pushed their unashamedly theatrical style to a new intense height. You do not believe us yet? Press play and have your soul transferred with this new elixir of life!

Behind black shrouds of obscurity and desolation, the men of GAEREA deliver their odes in cascading maelstroms of aggression and beauty. Emerging from the age of pandemic to whatever awaits humanity next, the Portuguese horde remains on the frontlines of the next generation of extreme metal. With an EP and two albums to their name, GAEREA has rapidly distinguished themselves from the thousands of bands toiling away in the underground. Brewing their cauldron of sound from a recipe of pounding black-metal blast mixed with a touch of harrowed, reflective longing, many devotees of the darkened arts have flocked to their banner. With the emergence of third full-length album Mirage, those numbers are sure to grow.

Underground metal itself is a strange and cyclical beast. Trends come and trends go. But at no point in the genre’s history have we borne witness to what happened to the world in 2020. GAEREA met this challenge by releasing their second album, the aptly titled Limbo, to excellent world reception. In the meantime, they found the total suspension of interactive life as it was previously known to be the perfect breeding ground for further creation and making. As the troupe’s main songwriter elaborates, “I lost two precious years of my life, years that I would rather have spent touring and growing as an artist. But they were crucial for us, these years, because not too many bands stayed relevant and productive. The pandemic gave us the time to make the best release we could. All the promo-shoots, interviews, videos, we all had time to prepare for everything. Mirage was the product of a sudden inspiration. The basic parts were written over about two weeks.”

Such a stunning admission goes to show that art is fickle, and the artist is merely a vessel through which the sweet sorcery we call music may flow. It can mute itself to frustrating silence – or it can explode into being regardless of all consideration. For this band on the rise, it is most certainly the latter. Sizzling with ambition from day one, GAEREA may present one unique face to their audience, masked and enshrouded, but the truth is they have not remained changeless. “We are not the same band who recorded Limbo,” he insists. “We are more eager to take on the world. If the pandemic taught us anything it is that nothing is certain.”

This lack of certainty plays heavily into newest creation Mirage. As its name suggests, the inability to trust what our senses are telling us could be construed as one of the album’s central themes. Rather than constrict their art to mythological references or anti-religious tropes, GAEREA instead plumb the depths of the human experiences of isolation and suffering. “The concept, the subject, of each song is everyone, you, me . . . if people were alone together in Limbo, in Mirage they are truly alone. Nobody is truly real until they are alone.”

If existential dread could be turned into sound, GAEREA have carved their own philosophical path through its stygian tunnels. It isn’t Satan, demons, death, or even suicide that is waiting for us there. “What if people finally reached their goal,” he posits, “to end their suffering, and instead of dying they find themselves in a new reality, lost in a big city they were once a part of – they don’t know if anyone else is still alive. They are alone inside their own world.” This theme of being alone in a world full of familiar scenes, unable to end things and unable to reach anyone else, might well terrify the listener more effectively than any glimpse into the imagined hellscapes of our nightmares. Being isolated in your own world is the real nightmare, and GAEREA strum the chords of this horror with nuance and a miserable grace.

Boasting a superior production that threads the needle between clarity and causticness, GAEREA unwaveringly admit their loyalty to countryman and producer Miguel Tereso of Demigod Recordings. “Miguel is fantastic,” enthuses the band’s primary composer. “He comes from a brutal death metal background. I thought if this guy can pull off a punchy, modern, but still authentic production with a slam / death metal band, I wonder what he can do with a band like GAEREA. He has a vision for a sound, and that is what I really like. He is not a black metal fan, but it’s this very external set of ears and eyes from a guy who really knows his craft, and he brings all of that to our sound.” The fruits of this union are quite evident, as the turbulent moods of the title track are so wonderfully tossed between tension-building moments, and the explosive payoffs which set GAEREA apart from so many who try but come up short.

Tormented leads and building riffs sit atop some seriously explosive drumming, waxing and waning, on “Arson,” a tempest of moods and one of the album’s centerpieces. Emotion, at times sounding triumphant in brilliantly wrought guitar leads, is skewered by vocals that bustle with shattering despair. The dichotomy is magnificent to behold. GAEREA’s composer makes no mistake. “I want to hear the throat on the album, and if we are a vocals-driven band, I don’t want to over-process them during the recording. Striking that balance is one of the beauties for me in this record.”

In a world that increasingly elevates the shallow and the narcissistic, GAEREA pursues an artistic struggle of inward isolation, honest self-examination, and a dogged refusal to bow to the void that awaits. Thus, the persistence of their shadowed visages, draped in the masks which codify their anonymity while also creating a reliable extreme metal brand that fans can appreciate, especially in the live setting. “GAEREA are truly ourselves when we put these masks on, and we transcend into something different, and primitive,” he asserts. “It still makes total sense, and this band would not be a band anymore if we ever dropped the masks.”

As GAEREA prepares the release of Mirage, the world has resumed functioning, and as it lurches onward into its bleak future, one could stipulate that the pressure may be on to continue its rise amid the clamor of this renewal of activity. Does this challenge intimidate GAEREA? “We want to do better, but I don’t feel any pressure because we are in very good hands with the people we work with. We are building a strong team that really cares for us, stage-wise, promotional-wise, website and sales-wise. We are building a very structured confident teams that aims for the same goals we do. What I truly care about is continuing our ever-growing concept of the band GAEREA, and not becoming sterile, and I would not want people to be unaffected by our music. In the end we’re trying to express something within ourselves, and I don’t want it to be too complicated.”

The beauty of GAEREA lies in the directness and simplicity found within their florid tapestry of extremity and aggression. Whether it is in the less-polished aural dynamite of their self-titled EP, or in the lustrous textures of Mirage, GAEREA is building a mighty edifice of underground metal. With talons dipped in the inky blood of black metal and scraped across the flesh of human suffering, GAEREA is leading a charge into the future of darkness, and all those who find beauty and power in the dark side of existence would do well to take heed.

The 22-show trek will feature direct support from 4x GRAMMY nominee singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress, with platinum-selling, Amazon Music Breakthrough Spotlight Artist BRELAND and hit songwriter and artist Ray Fulcher joining select dates. Country chart-topper Chris Lane and ACM award winning songwriter Nicolle Galyon will make a special appearance during a one-of-a-kind performance at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 5. The tour will kick off on April 13 in Rosemont, IL, with tickets on sale this Friday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m. CT. Visit walkerhayes.com for more details.

“I can’t wait to get back out on tour,” says Hayes. “Headlining an arena tour for the first time this past year was a dream come true. The whole family was able to come out and the road has become our new home away from home. All the fans that have come out or will come out are making this dream a reality. I owe it all to them, and this next tour will be the biggest and best. I don’t take for granted that they spent their hard-earned money on my shows, and I plan to make it well worth it!”

The new tour gets its name from the chorus of the title track off Hayes’ most recent album, Country Stuff The Album, in which the Mobile, AL native celebrates the trademarks of life in the country. Relishing his love of “Country Stuff,” Hayes sings, “I like shooting ducks and bucks / I like mud tires on my trucks / I like old blue jeans, guitar strings and dirt roads.” Since the release of the track, the Duck Buck has become Hayes’ signature, showing up on his merch, across his socials, and in his music videos after fans latched onto the visual. Always listening to fan feedback, the Duck Buck is now the name of Hayes’ next arena tour.

Hayes’ 2023 tour will celebrate the power of songwriting, while championing female talent with Andress joining 20 dates and Galyon performing at the legendary Red Rocks tour stop, which will also feature superstar Lane. BRELAND and Fulcher will split dates throughout the tour, showcasing some of the best country music that the genre has to offer.

One of the top streaming artists in country music last year, Hayes single “Y’all Life” is steadily climbing the charts, currently sitting in the top 30 on country radio’s Mediabase chart. His most recent release, “Face In The Crowd ,” is an ode to his biggest fan who remains side stage during many of his tour dates, his wife Laney. The song is especially meaningful after a breakthrough year for Hayes and his family that saw the superstar earn a GRAMMY nomination, six Billboard Music Award nominations, five ACM Award nominations, a CMT Award nomination, a CMA nomination and his first No. 1 at Country radio. Listen to “Face In The Crowd” HERE.
ABOUT WALKER HAYES:

Currently, Hayes’s single, “Y’all Life,” is climbing the country radio charts, and his most recent release “Face In The Crowd” is an ode to his biggest fans – his wife Laney and their six children.

ABOUT INGRID ANDRESS:
4x GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress digs deeper than ever before to explore the dark and the light within us all on her highly anticipated sophomore album, Good Person , available everywhere now. All co-produced and co-written by Andress, the track listing includes her latest platinum-certified, No. 1 radio single “Wishful Drinking (with Sam Hunt),” which is also currently GRAMMY-nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. Having gone through two years that were transformational in every way and triumphing in the face of some unprecedented career-obstacles, Andress knew that the best way forward was a brave willingness to be even more truthful and real. Along the way, she also found that changes were happening in her personal life and that the songs were actually leading the way, revealing emotions she wasn’t fully aware of yet. She pushed for bold, experimental sounds that blended banjos with vocoders; swung from sweeping orchestration to spare, acoustic-based arrangements; and showcased previously unexplored parts of her vocal range.

Good Person returns to the reflection and confession at the core of her triumphant 2020 debut, Lady Like, and plumbs even deeper. Named “one of the year’s strongest albums” by Associated PressLady Like became one of Billboard’s Top 10 Best Country Albums of the year and set the record as the highest streaming country female debut album of all time upon release. In addition to the Gold-certified title track, Lady Like  also features her multi-platinum No. 1 radio single “More Hearts Than Mine,” which made history as the only debut single from a solo female artist to break the Top 20 on country radio in 2019. The album was up for Best Country Album at the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards in addition to Andress’ nominations for Best Country Song and Best New Artist, making her the only country artist to be nominated in a “Big Four” category. Recently celebrating the impressive milestone of surpassing one billion total career streams, Andress spent the summer on tour with Keith Urban for his “The Speed of Now World Tour” and recently announced her own global headlining trek, The Good Person Tour, kicking off in February 2023.

ABOUT BRELAND:
With PLATINUM breakout “My Truck,” singer/songwriter/producer BRELAND has emerged as a bold new force on today’s music landscape. The Amazon Music Breakthrough Spotlight Artist first popped off when the Hip-Hop and Country hybrid hit #1 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 in 2019, and a remix featuring Sam Hunt landed on best-of-the-year lists from NPR to The New York Times. Adding to his 1 BILLION+ career streams, BRELAND’s debut album CROSS COUNTRY  is out now and features infectious releases “Told You I Could Drink (feat. Lady A),” “Natural,” “Praise The Lord (feat. Thomas Rhett),” GOLD-certified “Throw It Back (feat. Keith Urban) and title track (feat. Mickey Guyton). Hailed as the “symbol of Country music’s ongoing evolution” (Rolling Stone), the Bad Realm Records/Atlantic Records/Warner Music Nashville artist has scored high profile looks on ABC’s Good Morning America, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!CBS Mornings, CBS’  New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big BashCMT Crossroads, NBC’s TODAY, The Kelly Clarkson Show, plus performances on the ACM, CMT, and CMA Awards. BRELAND recently wrapped his fall headline HERE FOR IT TOUR, with high-profile performances in 2023 on deck at Stagecoach Festival and as direct support for select summer dates of Shania Twain’s QUEEN OF ME TOUR.

ABOUT RAY FULCHER:
As a writer, the 2022 CMA Triple Play Honoree Ray Fulcher understands the sweet spot of life. It's the same joy that marks the songs he's co-written with an old friend named Luke Combs. Eight of those songs ended up on the 2020 CMA Album of the Year What You See Is What You Get. Eight more ended up on This One's for You. Four of those songs – "When It Rains It Pours," "Even Though I'm Leaving," "Lovin' on You," and "Does to Me," featuring their mutual idol and influence Eric Church – went to #1. As an artist, Ray Fulcher has been streamed over 40 million times, and almost 21 million of those streams are derived from "Anything Like You Dance." On Jun. 10, 2022 Fulcher released his debut album Spray Painted Line, featuring the hit songs "Love Ya Son, Go Dawgs," referencing the CFP National Champions, the Georgia Bulldogs, "Girl in It," and "Anything Like You Dance."

ABOUT NICOLLE GALYON:
Nicolle Galyon is an award winning, multi-Platinum singer, songwriter and producer from Sterling, Kansas and one of Nashville’s most successful and respected voices. Adding to her already triumphant career as a songwriter, Galyon released her long-awaited debut album, firstborn, earlier this summer via her own label, Songs & Daughters. A striking personal statement, firstborn is Galyon’s life story in song form and continues to receive widespread critical attention. Of the record, The Tennessean praises, “a star-making statement all her own that reckons with her humanity and humility in equal measure,” while Variety declares, “firstborn is not aimed at giving her a tenth No. 1 but at putting her own lyrical voice in the top position for the first time in her career.”

Across her twenty-year career, Galyon has penned nine No.1 hits including Miranda Lambert’s ACM Award-winning “Automatic,” which went on to win NSAI Song of the Year, as well as and Dan + Shay’s multi-platinum, ACM Award-winning “Tequila.” Additionally, Galyon has received Grammy and CMA Awards nominations, earned a Triple Play Award and was honored by BMI as their 2019 Songwriter of the Year. In addition to her work as a songwriter and artist, Galyon founded the female-focused label and publishing house, Songs & Daughters, in 2019, which includes artists Hailey Whitters, Tiera Kennedy, Madison Kozak and Lauren Watkins. Galyon is heavily involved in the CMA Foundation’s music education initiative, has served as an NSAI Board Member, a CMT Next Women of Country mentor and founded The Autobiography Scholarship to provide students of her alma mater Sterling High School with college scholarships. She was also named 2020 Kansan of the Year for her continued service and commitment to her home state, which includes partnering with SongFarm and Save The Music to install a recording studio in Sterling High School and others throughout the country.

Drum tracking for Exul, the fourth long-player from Australian extreme progressive metallers NE OBLIVISCARIS, started in March 2020. There is an ominous tone to that date: March 2020. The pandemic demarcation line. That month, Daniel Presland laid down his drums in Nashville, Tennessee, with American producer Mark Lewis. As flight cancellations increased and borders shuttered, Presland made it home literally hours before Australia closed theirs. Lewis, guitarist Benjamin Baret and bassist Martino Garattoni weren’t as lucky. They were due to land in Australia in the days that followed to continue tracking, but were forced to remain overeseas indefinitely. With recording studios shuttered throughout Melbourne, a slow, tedious, life-altering two-year grind to complete Exul ensued for NE OBLIVISCARIS

What should have been the continued upward swing after 2017’s critically acclaimed Urn turned into the most fraught moment of NE OBLIVISCARIS’s career. Clean vocalist and violinist Tim Charles says the period “came close to breaking us completely.” It was a time filled with death, relationships breaking down, despair and financial loss. Presland, NE OBLIVISCARIS’s drummer since 2005, amicably parted ways in early 2022, throwing yet another wrench into the band’s plans.

There are, however, happy accidents scattered throughout the creation of Exul. The extra, unexpected downtime allowed the band to fine-tune and even re-write parts previously set in stone before the pandemic. Charles’s violin solo at the end of “Graal” is a prime example: His original idea wasn’t fully realized until he revisited the song in early 2021 and promptly came up with a new part. It was a classic “a-ha” moment that improved the song.

“Getting an opportunity to have a song mostly done for a year or so and then go back to it, find what you loved about it the first time and maybe even improve it in some ways was a nice silver lining from all the delays,” says Charles. “I think because we had so many delays that were out of our control, we were even more determined to take our time to make sure when the time came to record and to mix, that we ensured it was the absolute best it could be in every way.”

Seven additional studios and three more countries later, Exul was finally mixed and mastered in July 2022.

The album personifies NE OBLIVISCARIS’s distinctive, boundary-pushing ethos. The band’s trademark blend of emotion and beauty is as towering as ever, if not even more compelling, particularly how Charles’s violin lines carefully weave their way around Baret and fellow guitarist Matt Klavins’ riffing. The duality of Charles’s clean vocals and Xenoyr’s growls remains the narrative anchor, elevating songs that emanate sophistication and are a masterclass in composition.

“Our approach is always the same,” says Charles, “which is essentially to just write and see what comes out. Exul definitely had its challenges during the songwriting process. Part of the beauty of how our music comes together is that we are quite different individuals bringing an array of ideas together. From there, we work out how to combine them into something that is seamless and beautiful to us. We were determined to make this our best and most complete album yet, which definitely resulted in it taking longer. But we are so proud of this album and it’s exciting to finally share it with the world.”

The album’s centerpiece is the two-part “Misericorde I – As the Flesh Fails” and “Misericorde – Anatomy of Quiescence.” (A NE OBLIVISCARIS album is not complete without a multi-part epic!) According to Charles, Part II began by taking a song they thought was finished (Pt I) and asking, “What if after that…?” The band then wrote a section that took the piece in a new direction and what was a 7 minute song, became an almost 17 minute 2 part epic.

“The bulk of Part I was written more so by Benji and Martino,” notes Charles. “You can hear the very guitar-driven approach present throughout that track. Part II, by contrast, was written more so by myself in collaboration with others and the emphasis changes more towards expansive solos and slow-developing sections that build towards the epic finale. These two tracks are a great example of how it’s the combination of our different strengths as songwriters spread across an album that results in the sound that is 'NE OBLIVISCARIS'.”

Charles’s violin parts, whether on “Misericorde II,” “Equus” or “Suspyre,” exude confidence. The instrument has always been central to the band’s sound. On Exul, Charles’s violin playing is taken to another level. “I think that over the years, in regards to how my violin interacts within NeO’s music, I’ve simply continued to add more strings to my bow, so to speak,” he says. “With ‘Exul,’ I definitely explored even further the use of layers of violin and viola parts to create a more textured feel compared to other albums. ‘Mesericorde II’ was definitely a bit of a breakthrough song for me, where I felt I could utilize the strings in a way that hadn’t been done in NeO’s music before. In the end, whatever serves the song best is always the aim and having more ways of creating music makes it easier to serve the song.”

The Exul album title came to Xen when he was summing up the album’s feeling musically and lyrically. Coincidentally, it matched the experience of most people during the pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. “I think everyone at some point has felt at odds with the world around them, felt alone, cast out, or misunderstood,” says Xen. “Exul felt right to use in a broader sense and as a lone word, for we each have our own history and a story of exile.

“Overall, there’s a darker core to this album, perhaps more ominous than previous releases,” he continues. “However abstract the lyrics are, they involve some form of unwanted departure — all journeys into torment, passion, longing and even despair. They touch on the process of physical and psychological destruction that comes from that sense or reality of being exiled, whether forced from one’s land, ostracised from a community, shunned by a religion, or even simply being treated differently for being who they are.”

Touring will factor heavily into NE OBLIVISCARIS’s 2023 plans. The band will embark on headlining tours worldwide that will hit new territories. As luck would have it, the return to live show activity will coincide with the release of Exul and the band’s 20th anniversary. As one of Australia’s leading extreme metal exports, there is a distinct sense of gratitude from Charles and his bandmates. They’re looking forward to sharing it with fans when they resume touring.

“Simply getting the opportunity to perform music that we’ve written on stages around the world to people that genuinely love and connect with it,” finishes Charles when talking about NE OBLIVISCARIS’s 20-year journey. “There is something incredibly special about the energy that exists between an artist and audience at a concert and it’s an honor to get the opportunity to spend 2023 connecting with people in that way once more.”

With his just-announced album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell set to showcase the results of a year off the road spent reconnecting with his passions both musically and personally, multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Chase Rice is ready to bring that sonic return to his roots to fans across the country this spring on the Way Down Yonder Tour.

“I focused on ‘What can I put out that makes me come to life?’,” Rice shared recently with PopCulture of the new music he will debut on this tour. “Because if I come to life when I’m on the stage and up there singing songs that I’m passionate about and love, man, people are gonna love them that much more… I’m at the place in my life now where I just want people to know who I really am as opposed to who they think I am. I think this record’s a good start.”

Kicking off March 3 in Laughlin, Nev., the headlining run presented by Coors Banquet spans 23 dates across the U.S. including iconic theaters such as Nashville Ryman Auditorium, Boston’s House of Blues and Athens’ Georgia Theatre, concluding April 29 in Rice’s birthplace of Daytona, Fla. Joining as special guests across varying dates are Avery AnnaTyler Braden, Ashland CraftDalton DoverKameron MarloweRead Southall Band and Conner Smith.

Tickets to all dates go on sale this Thursday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. local time via ChaseRice.com, with pre-sales beginning Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. local time.

The tour earns its name from Rice’s latest release off the forthcoming album, outlaw anthem “Way Down Yonder,” available everywhere now along with an accompanying Wild West-style music video. Written by Rice together with Hunter Phelps, John Byron, Blake Pendergrass and Corey Crowder during a writing retreat in Florida that also produced recent release “Key West & Colorado,” the song paints a vivid picture of hardworking characters living beyond the confines of the law:

About Chase Rice
With nearly 2.4 million albums sold and over 2.4 billion total streams, plus a legion of passionate fans at his high-energy concerts across the globe, Chase Rice has established himself as a powerful force in Nashville and beyond. With the forthcoming album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell crafted in his rural Tennessee home-turned-studio, his sound continues to evolve to reflect the realities of his life, as evidenced by recent releases “Key West & Colorado” and “Way Down Yonder.” The new music serves as a follow up to his three-part project, The Album, featuring his latest Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen. (feat. Florida Georgia Line)” and Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “Lonely If You Are.” This is the same gravelly-voiced Chase Rice fans first fell in love with years ago – but better, freer; unbeholden and uninhibited. The new music builds upon the success of his sophomore album, Lambs & Lions, which featured the triple-Platinum, two-week chart topper “Eyes On You” – Rice’s first No. 1 as an artist and the most-streamed song of his career. Lambs & Lions followed Ignite the Night, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre chart, producing a pair of Top 5 hits; “Gonna Wanna Tonight” and Platinum-certified “Ready Set Roll.” In addition to selling out arenas with Kane Brown and Jason Aldean plus stadiums with Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks, Rice also consistently sells out venues across the U.S. and Europe on his own headlining tours.

Get 'metanoia' HERE!

PERSEFONE is known for their brand of rich soundscapes and technically precise work, setting new standards in modern extreme progressive metal. Founded in 2001, PERSEFONE has released six studio albums, each showcasing the band’s myriad of musical principles: high technicality, distinct melodies, plenty of head-turning riffs and musical acrobatics. The band has toured worldwide with notable acts like Obituary and Leprous, has hit stages at important festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Metal Days, Brutal Assault, ProgPower and 70,000 Tons of Metal, and are now about to tour North America for the first time in support of their new album, metanoia!

Featuring collaborations with standout artists like Steffen Kummerer (Obscura, Thulcandra), Einar Solberg (Leprous), Angel Vivaldi and Merethe Soltvedt (Two Steps From Hell), metanoia exploits the full potential of contrasts in every song, with each track representing a story evolving from beginning to end and constantly growing in strength – redefining typical musical boundaries. Mixed by David Castillo (Leprous, Soen, Opeth) and mastered by Tony Lindgren (Enslaved, Ihsahn, Sepultura), the new full-length stretches over 10 songs, each appearing to glide seamlessly from one to the next.

PERSEFONE about ‘metanoia’:

“metanoia is the next step in our personal pursuit for existential growth through music. This album is a call for a deep change, a call for an inner journey through fear and pain, a call for a leap into a meaningful and rooted place. Making this album has forced us to face many musical and personal hurdles and fears, and the result of that confrontation lives within all the notes and words captured on this new chapter in our journey.  May you find meaning in all this musical chaos.”

PERSEFONE is:

Marc Martins – vocals

Miguel “Moe” Espinosa – keyboards and vocals

Carlos Lozano – guitar

Filipe Baldaia – guitar

Toni Mestre – bass

Sergi “ Bobby” Verdeguer - drums

AMON AMARTH Release Cinematic Lyric Video For Track "Oden Owns You All", Great Heathen Tour Currently Laying Waste To North America

"It’s rare to see a tour where every act is as acclaimed as the four bands on this lineup, and each of them lived up to the billing" - Consequence of Sound

"It was the perfect exercise in epic storytelling combined with the unifying spirit of sonic brutality that ruled the entire event" - Brave Words

Undisputed kings of Viking heavy metal, Amon Amarth, have dropped a brand new cinematic lyric video for track "Oden Owns You All". Taken from the band's recent album, 'The Great Heathen Army' (out now via Metal Blade Records), "Oden Owns You All" is 4:17 of the expertly crafted, Norse inspired death metal brutality Amon Amarth are known for. Watch the new clip below. Listen to 'The Great Heathen Army' HERE.

Amon Amarth are currently raiding their way across North America on their Great Heathen Tour with what is being dubbed as the best heavy line-up of the year, with Carcass, Obituary and Cattle Decapitation. The tour comes to a historical close on Saturday, December 17th when the band become the first death metal band to ever headline the legendary Kia Forum in Los Angeles with their full-scale European production, featuring Viking ships, a Viking helmet drum riser, live battle reenactments, the now infamous "Viking Row" and enough pyro to raze several villages to the ground . For a small taste of what to expect, fans can watch the tour trailer HERE or by clicking the image below.

Thousand Below Release New Album 'Hell Finds You Everywhere' via Pale Chord Music

San Diego quartet Thousand Below have released their new album 'Hell Finds You Everywhere'via Pale Chord Music. Prior to today's release, Thousand Below dropped music videos for "Face To Face" and "Sabotage"which together have amassed over 880,000 streams on Spotify and 72,000 views on YouTube. Stream 'Hell Finds You Everywhere' here.

Thousand Below are currently on the road on the completely sold-out North American leg of A Tour Of The Concrete Jungle with Bad Omens, Dayseeker, and Make Them Suffer. Be sure to stay tuned for more Thousand Below news coming soon.

Thousand Below’s vulnerable, ambient, yet ultimately hopeful self-examination of loss, life and healing is an enduring theme resonating in the band’s signature sound. The range within their genre is an homage to the band’s intimate experience through the stages of grief. The American quartet-- James DeBerg [vocals], Josh Thomas [guitar], Josh Billimoria [Bass], and Max Santoro [drums]-- descend into the visceral anger and raw anguish echoing throughout their lyrically-jarring debut album The Love You Let Too Close (Rise Records), followed by the somber instrumentation of an ultimately quieter emotional discourse in their sophomore album Gone In Your Wake (Rise Records).

SAINT ASONIA Release 'Intorvert/Extrovert' EPs as Full Album

Physical Release Available Today, December 9

Band Shares "Chasing the Light" Lyric Video

Tour With Skillet & Theory Of A Deadman

Set for February 2023

Hard rock juggernaut Saint Asonia, featuring former Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier and Staind guitarist/founding member Mike Mushok, have combined their previously released 'Introvert' and 'Extrovert' EPs in one a single and cohesive album.

The CD version is in stores today!

It includes unreleased bonus acoustic versions of "Above It All" and "Devastate."

Get it HERE

Today, the band shared the visualizer for the new single "Chasing the Light."

Saint Asonia — rounded out by Cale Gontier [bass] and Cody Watkins [drums]— have perfected a fusion of gut-punching grooves, intricate fretwork, airtight songwriting, and soaring choruses.

For as much as Gontier and Mushok had achieved in multiplatinum rock acts Three Days Grace and Staind, respectively, the musicians also architected the framework for a singular legacy together in Saint Asonia.

2015's self-titled 'Saint Asonia' kicked open the door as Loudwire crowned them "Best New Artist" at the Loudwire Music Awards. The 2019 follow-up, 'Flawed Design', only ingratiated a growing fan base. Lead single "The Hunted," featuring Sully Erna of Godsmack, racked up 13 million Spotify streams, bringing their cumulative streams near the 100 million-mark. New Noise awarded it 4.5-out-of-5 stars and urged, "Any fan of hard rock (whether they've listened in recently or not) should give Saint Asonia a spin."

Meanwhile, Loudwire named it among "The 50 Best Rock Albums of the Year." Along the way, they hit the road with the likes of Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Alter Bridge, and Mötley Crüe.

Saint Asonia will bring their rock back to the road this winter, supporting Skillet and Theory of a Deadman on tour. All dates for the Rock Resurrection Tour, which kicks off on February 17 in Gary, Indiana before wrapping on March 26 in Los Angeles, are below.

Open Me for An Atreyu x Kayzo Collab

So Cal rock warriors Atreyu and EDM dynamo Kayzo have teamed up for a molten new track dubbed "Depression Season." It's not a remix.

We repeat — this is not a remix. It's a brand new track where two titans of their genres collide. The result is nothing short of spectacular.

Listen to the song and watch the visualizer

"Meeting and working with Kayzo was so effortless," the Atreyu singer Brandon Saller says. "Our first collaboration, 'Battle Drums,' then belonged to the world and did more organically than either camp had imagined. It only made sense for us to embark on Round 2. 'Depression Season' is completely a different and fresh take on what people might expect from an Atreyu and Kayzo mashup!"

"Round 2 with Atreyu was even more fun that the first time around," states Kayzo. "We all got back into the studio and spent a whole day recording drums bass guitar and vocals and brought it to life by combining that with DNB elements and depression season was born. I love working with these guys because they get it. They are willing to take risks outside of their comfort zones and I think that shows in our music together."

Catch Kayzo on tour in 2023 on his North America Tour — Kayzo Unleashed XL, which kicks off in February and extending through May 2023, including a brand new stage and production, special guests, and support — plus a brand new XL surprise.

Tickets are on sale now. Go HERE for more information.

Atreyu previously partnered with Sullivan King to remix their smash single "Baptize," which is the title track of their most recent album.

Check out the remix, on which Sullivan King truly put his own unique spin, HERE

Atreyu are currently wrapping up their appearance on the third leg of the sold-out Trinity of Terror tour, featuring Motionless in White, Black Veil Brides, Ice Nine Kills.

GORGUTS To Perform 'Obscura' + 'Considered Dead' Set for Decibel Metal & Beer Fest: Philly

Death metal legends GORGUTS will perform for the first time in nearly six years at Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly on April 14, 2023 at the Fillmore. To celebrate the end of this extended break, the band will perform a special set exclusively of material from 1998’s landmark 'Obscura' album and 1991’s old-school classic 'Considered Dead.'

GORGUTS guitarist/vocalist Luc Lemay comments:
"Dear fans, I just wanna say that we are super stoked to be a part of Decibel's Metal & Beer Fest! It’s a special moment for the band returning to the stage after a hiatus, so and we decided to craft for you a set of songs that haven’t been performed live in over 25 years.”

GORGUTS completes an already stacked Metal & Beer Fest: Philly lineup! The full lineup + more information can be found HERE.

SINGLE TICKETS: APRIL 14

SINGLE TICKETS: APRIL 15

Few extreme bands can boast the pedigree of GORGUTS. During their early days as part of death metal’s first wave, they created a legacy of legendary releases including their debut album ‘Considered Dead’ (1991) and its more experimental and technical follow-up ‘Erosion of Sanity’ (1993). After a hiatus of five years, Luc Lemay returned with a new line-up, which released the highly acclaimed and seminal third full-length ‘Obscura’ (1998). By then GORGUTS had been busy at expanding and redefining the language of death metal. With a new line-up that left Lemay as the sole original member, the next milestone album was released under the title ‘From Wisdom to Hate’ (2001).

Yet again the band went into hibernation, while their musical legacy continued to inspire and thrive as their native Quebec became a focus for technical death metal with acts such as CRYPTOPSY, NEURAXIS, and BEYOND CREATION to name but a few following in their footsteps. After more than a decade of silence, mastermind Luc Lemay unleashed ‘Colored Sands’ (2013) with an all-star line-up including Colin Marston (BEHOLD THE ARCTOPUS), Kevin Hufnagel (DYSRHYTHMIA), and John Longstreath (ORIGIN, SKINLESS), who has in the meantime been replaced by Patrice Hamelin (QUO VADIS, BENEATH THE MASSACRE).

In 2016, GORGUTS then released their 'Pleiades Dust' EP. In an age of a postulated clash of cultures, mastermind Luc Lemay delivered a piece of music that was conceptually and lyrically based on the “House of Wisdom,” a medieval library based in Baghdad and at the heart of the Golden Age of Islam with its many scientific breakthroughs in various fields of learning. “It is a story about curiosity, beautiful minds and sadly, about how man destroys great discoveries and achievements,” explained Lemay. Musically there is more narrative feeling as each section is introduced in such a way that every riff has the space to evolve like a character in a story.

After a successful year of touring in 2017, GORGUTS once again receded into the shadows and went dark. That is until now, as the band readies to celebrate its storied career with a historical set as they make their return to the stage!

Celebrating Womanhood in All Forms!

Featuring Genius Heavy Metal Renditions of:

"Respect"

"I Will Survive"

"Roar" & More!

On Tour in 2023:

Supporting Steel Panther & Crobot in the USA

+ Co-Headlining with Nanowar of Steel in the UK & Europe!

TRAGEDY - one of New York City’s most famous tribute bands and the undisputed inventors of “disco metal” - had a glitter-encrusted grip on the entertainment world when they emerged in the early 2010’s. Now, following the 2015 breakout viral music video for their cover of Grease’s You’re The One That I Want and 2017’s second viral hit, a cover of Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees, TRAGEDY are back with a brand new twist on 'I Am Woman', out March 3, 2023 via Napalm Records.

Flipping the script on sleaze rock tropes, with 'I Am Woman', TRAGEDY pay tribute to the most powerful force in their lives, as allies celebrating womanhood in all forms on 14 newly-recorded, reinvented disco and soft rock anthems of power, freedom, feeling and fun. While their 80s hair metal image would imply that plenty of misbehavior is to be seen on the surface, one only need witness TRAGEDY live a single time to understand that the band’s true overarching message is one of carefree joy, humanity, acceptance and the simple pursuit of a damn good time.

The band kicks things into high gear today with the album's first single - a swinging glam metal rendition of the legendary anthem "Venus" - alongside a fantastic video featuring appearances by bohemian NYC legends such as Tammy Fae Starlite, Anna Copa Cabanna and Crystal Durant... and tons of bananas!

Watch the bananas official music video for Venus

Frontman Mo'Royce Peterson says about "Venus":

"Venus. The goddess of beauty, love and gardening - all areas where TRAGEDY shines like no other band. Originally done by Shocking Blue and Bananarama, the song explores how we all have our own personal goddess of beauty and love - someone who excites and inspires us like no other. Our version is chock full of MTV-era references, will get your head bangin', your hips shakin', and put a knowing smile on your face."

Having introduced their raucous trademark stage show to audiences in the USA, the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland and beyond, and releasing several albums of metalized disco, soft rock and pop covers before even tasting their first viral hit, TRAGEDY proved early on that they were never just your everyday satirical cover band. These six warriors of wacky fully embody the soul of the original and reimagine it from the top down, infusing the tracks with an undeniably infectious energy that can be felt both on stage or on wax.

...Shiny costumes, dramatic eye makeup and headbanging hilarity…”

- The Village Voice (US)

“Hard riffs, tight white flares, and even tighter octave-scraping harmonies… essential listening”

- The Sun (UK)

On 'I Am Woman', TRAGEDY turn the energy up to 11 with recharged dancehall favorites like Le Freak, Respect (featuring soul powerhouse Marcy Harriell) and I’m So Excited, and double down on the drama with heavy, recomposed covers of belt-worthy classics Memory (featuring legendary drag performer, singer and guitarist Mrs. Smith), Goldfinger and Roar. Tracks like I Will Surviveevoke the spirit of Queen with choral harmonies and blazing solos, while unabashed anthems like She Bop and Venus fully convince with authentic 80s hair metal flavor. Power metal reigns on the band’s opus-like version of Flashdance… What a Feeling and the theatrical Maiden-meets-Meatloaf-esque Lay All Your Love on Me.

'I Am Woman' is bolstered by a retro production aura that allows the intricacy of each rearrangement decision to shine, as blistering guitar work, classic drumlines and dynamic vocal performances cascade throughout each track. With 'I Am Woman', TRAGEDY truly embody the spirit of metal classics while providing a fresh take on some of the world’s most timeless classics of empowerment, independence and self-love - important messages that resonate now more than ever!

Frontman Mo'Royce Peterson adds:

"On 'I Am Woman', we find the inner-metal in disco and soft rock classics made famous by women. TRAGEDY’s concept has always been to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes, inverting the yin and the yang. Here, we honor, celebrate and explore various themes of womanhood."

Pre-Order 'I Am Woman' HERE

'I Am Woman' will be available for pre-order in the following configurations:

-CD Digisleeve

-1LP Gatefold SILVER

Music journalists have consistently praised Bowes’ high range, powerful voice, and unique versatility, after hearing his performances on TOP’s debut album on Epic Records, Monster on a Leash.

The show includes a rare appearance by the Uptown Horns as the horn section, returning to the city where it all began for them. Playing with the Rolling Stones on the Steel Wheels tour, Keith Richards personally praised them as being the “only horn section up for the job,” before they went on to work with Joe Cocker, the J. Geils Band, and providing the horns on James Brown’s Grammy Award Winning Single, “Living in America.”

Scott Spray, Grammy recording bassist from Johnny Winter and the Edgar Winter Group, has recorded on over 800 albums and will be providing ample bottom for the evening. Scott’s tours with Edgar Winter, and spending 15 years on the road with Edgar’s brother Johnny, give Scott a unique perspective into the Blues / R&B influenced songs on Field of Grace.

A native New Yorker, Tony Cintron will be laying down the groove on drums. A tour with Joe Bonamassa placed Cintron on stages with the Derrick Trucks Band, the Doobie Brothers, Dr. John, and the legendary vocalist Roberta Flack at Carnegie Hall.

Making a return appearance to the Hollywood Allstar stage will be guitarist Andy Abel, who in addition to having played with Blood Sweat & Tears, and the Talking Heads, served as co-producer with Steve Gaspár for the Hollywood Allstars new release on Deko Entertainment, Field of Grace, as well as its chief recording, mixing, and mastering engineer.

Another native New Yorker, Eddie Torres, percussionist, best known for “Turn the Beat Around” with singer Vicki Sue Robinson, will be demonstrating his ability to get the fans up and dancing in the aisles.

The Hollywood Allstars, a musician’s band, consistently attract to their shows--let alone one in New York City--a who’s who of musical artists. You never know which other special guests may show up to join the fun on stage, and their show at City Winery is sure to be no exception!

Unyielding darkness and brutality emerge from the deep south of the United States. Atlanta, GA based quartet CLOAK blend the sounds of black metal, rock ‘n’ roll, and homegrown Southern sludge to create their own unique and menacing sound.

Their debut full-length, 'To Venomous Depths,' (2017) was met with critical acclaim upon its release. Decibel Magazine placed it at #20 among their “Top 40 Albums of 2017,” solidifying the band’s place among the heavy metal elite. Now, CLOAK is back with 'The Burning Dawn,' a riff-heavy and groove-laden follow-up that proves the band are still rife with fresh ideas.

Conceptually, the record comes from a place below the surface where the sleepless and sinister dwell, and is absorbed by the darkest of dreams and the most primal desires. Musically, this exploration takes the gothic nuances of its predecessor while abandoning any hesitation in exchange for a more aggressive and vehement spirit.

While rippers like “On Poisoned Ground” and “Into the Storm” deliver a fury of soulful aggression, songs like “Lifeless Silence” and “The Fire, The Faith, The Void” offer a darker, gothic essence, ultimately displaying CLOAK’s multi-faceted and dynamic musical diversity. So, raise your fists and set fire to the world; this is 'The Burning Dawn.'

Line-up
Scott Taysom – Vocals & Guitar
Max Brigham – Guitar
Sean Bruneau – Drums
Billy Robinson – Bass

Due to overwhelming demand, Morgan Wallen announced today the addition of 14 new shows across 13 cities, with back-to-back nights at 10 stadium shows, one of the largest tours of 2023. The man praised by Billboard for making “his superstar arrival as a touring artist” last year will bring his 58-show One Night At A Time World Tour to 26 stadium shows, plus arenas, amphitheaters and festivals to fans across four countries and two continents in his biggest tour yet.

Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour, produced by Live Nation in North America and Frontier Touring for Australia/New Zealand, kicks off overseas March 15-24 with shows in New Zealand and Australia with HARDYbefore returning stateside on April 14 at Milwaukee’s American Family Field with HARDY, hitting New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium, Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Boston’s Fenway Park with Parker McCollum, before wrapping on Oct. 7 at Tacoma Dome in Washington. ERNEST and Bailey Zimmerman will support across all dates, U.S. and internationally.

Wallen named his tour after one-of-three new songs on his recently released One Thing At A Time – Sampler: “One Thing At A Time”; which Billboard noted “teems with shades of ’80s pop” while Country Now applauded its unique sound, stating “[it] takes on a slightly different approach from the other two tracks as it features a bit more buoyancy in its raw melody.” The other two tracks on the sampler include “Tennessee Fan,” paying homage to Wallen’s East Tennessee upbringing; and “Days That End In Why.” All three songs serve as the first taste of what’s to come from his time in the studio and arrive on the heels of his new single at Country radio, “Thought You Should Know,” co-written with Miranda Lambert and Nicolle Galyon, currently sitting Top 20.

As on his Dangerous Tour, $3 of every ticket sold for U.S. dates benefits the Morgan Wallen Foundation which funds causes close to his heart and, to-date, has supported organizations such as Greater Good Music by donating over 500,000 meals-and-counting, to Children Are People, the Salvation Army and National Museum of African American Music.

All tickets for the added dates will be sold through the verified fan sale beginning Wednesday, Dec. 7. Times vary per market. Verified Fans will automatically be rolled into the added dates for the same city they initially requested as the originally announced dates sell out. Fans who registered should keep an eye out for an email Tuesday evening, Dec. 6 with more details. For more information, visit www.morganwallen.com. Morgan Wallen Fan Club pre-sale for Australia and New Zealand shows begins on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

ABOUT MORGAN WALLEN
Hailed by Billboard for making “his superstar arrival as a touring artist” in 2022, Morgan Wallen recently wrapped his record-shattering 55-show Dangerous Tour with his first headlining stadium show at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX, which saw him shattering attendance records previously held by Elton John and Lady Gaga. Now, the CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee who broke records in 30 venues across the country - with the only country tour nominated for Pollstar’s Major Tour of the Year - will embark on a massive world tour in 2023. Spanning 26 stadium shows across 4 countries and 2 continents, plus arenas, amphitheaters and festivals, Wallen’s 58 show 2023 One Night At A Time World Tour will deliver the man The New Yorker dubbed as “the most wanted man in country” to fans worldwide.

With over 12.3 billion on-demand streams and seven chart-toppers at Country radio, the East Tennessean’s latest hit, “You Proof,” became his fastest climbing single to-date, reaching No. 1 after just 14 weeks and remaining at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart for a rare six non-consecutive weeks. His follow-up single “Thought You Should Know,” dedicated to his mother, broke into the top 25 on MediaBase charts after just two weeks, and has been lauded by Outsider as his “most personal track to date.” On the heels of the unparalleled success of his 4x platinum, ACM Album of the Year, Dangerous: The Double Album (Big Loud/Republic Records) – which topped 2021's all-genre Billboard 200 Albums year-end chart and continues to notch historical chart status as Billboard’slongest running Top 10 album in history for a solo artist (eclipsing Adele’s 21 and Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA) – Wallen has confirmed he is back in the studio recording new music, recently releasing three-song One Night At A Time – Sampler. The American Music Awards’ Favorite Male Country Artist and Favorite Country Song (“Wasted On You”) winner continues to touch fans’ lives in ways few can; Pollstar noting “[he has] the ability to distill his life in a way that pulls others to him.” Thanks to those very fans, the superstar has raised nearly $3 million dollars for causes close to his heart with $3 from every U.S. ticket sold for each tour benefitting the Morgan Wallen Foundation.

ABOUT HARDY
Big Loud Records' heavy hitter HARDY has never been just one thing. Uncaging his next chapter on January 20, 2023, HARDY will introduce the mockingbird & THE CROW, his dichotomous, 17-track sophomore album and the follow up to 2020 debut, A ROCK. HARDY is the reigning ACM Songwriter of the Year, 2022’s BMI Country Songwriter of the Year and a two-time AIMP Songwriter of the Year. One of CRS' 2021 New Faces of Country Music and a two-time CMA Triple Play award recipient, the pride of Philadelphia, Miss. has earned his reputation as “a breakout in the making,” (HITS) and “a promising purveyor of keeping the spirit of classic heavy Southern rock alive” (American Songwriter). HARDY has written 12 No. 1 singles since 2018, including his own double platinum No. 1 single “ONE BEER” feat. Lauren Alaina + Devin Dawson, and chart-topping Dierks Bentley + BRELAND collaboration, “Beers On Me.” He's previously toured with Thomas Rhett, Wallen, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Cole Swindell, and more, and will embark on his own SOLD-OUT headlining Wall to Wall Tour this winter, before launching the mockingbird & THE CROW Tour in 2023.

ABOUT PARKER MCCOLLUM
Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Parker McCollum released his major label debut album, Gold Chain Cowboy, with MCA. The album follows his Hollywood Gold EP which was met with widespread critical acclaim and became the top-selling debut Country EP of 2020. McCollum earned his first-ever No. 1 hit with his Platinum-selling premiere single, “Pretty Heart,” and his follow-up single, “To Be Loved By You,” also hit No. 1 on the charts. “To Be Loved By You” was also the highest first week debut album of 2021. In November of 2021, McCollum made his first late-night TV appearance performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

McCollum has been named an ‘Artist to Watch’ by Rolling Stone, Billboard, SiriusXM, CMT, RIAA, and more with American Songwriter noting, “The Texas native teeters on the edge of next-level superstardom.” MusicRow listed McCollum as their 2021 Breakout Artist of the Year and Apple also included him as one of their all-genre "Up Next Artists" Class of 2021. A dedicated road warrior, McCollum made his debut at the famed Grand Ole Opry in 2021 and he already sells out venues across the country (over 40 sold out shows nationwide in 2021) including record-breaking crowds in Dallas (20,000), The Woodlands (16,500), Austin (7500+), Lubbock (7700+), Jackson, MS (5000+), Kearney, NE (3000+), Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, and three nights at Fort Worth’s iconic Billy Bob’s Texas. In March of this year McCollum made his debut at RODEOHOUSTON to a sold-out crowd with over 73,000 tickets sold. McCollum earned his first ACM award for New Male Artist of the Year in March 2022 in Las Vegas. McCollum also won his first CMT “Breakthrough Video of the Year” award, a fully fan-voted honor, in April 2022.

ABOUT ERNEST
Nashville’s most unpredictable hitmaker ERNEST is “The Charmer” (MusicRow), a triple threat talent and one of Music City’s on the rise artist/writers that’s changing the status quo. A 2022 Variety Hitmaker, the chart-topping songwriter fuses influences ranging from Eminem to George Jones, creating a twist-heavy verse style that’s become his signature, proving its mettle and earning him seven #1 hits to date. The eccentric free spirit and 2022 CMA Triple Play Award winner released his debut full-length album Flower Shops (The Album) in March, named one of Holler and The Tennessean's best albums of 2022 and showcasing the more classically country side of his craft. Nashville's “busiest – and most consistently successful – creative force” (Tennessean) just wrapped his first-ever sold-out headlining Sucker For Small Towns Tour, spanning college towns nationwide.

ABOUT BAILEY ZIMMERMAN
Establishing himself as one of music’s most exciting new voices, Bailey Zimmerman has arrived at the cusp of superstardom with the 2022 release of his debut EP, Leave The Light On – the biggest streaming country debut of all time and the most-streamed all-genre debut of the year. The EP arrived at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and No. 9 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, affording the Louisville, Illinois, native to join Zach Bryan and Luke Combs as the only country artists in 2022 to earn more than one million streams on each of a project’s tracks during release week alone. In 2021 the twenty-two-year-old released his very first song. Now, in just one year’s time, Zimmerman touts nearly 1 billion global streams, has earned his first pair of Platinum singles, notched three entries on the Billboard Hot 100, and sold out his first headline tour within minutes of tickets going on-sale.

A young artist with the rasp of a seasoned rocker and the heart of a sensitive songwriter, Zimmerman strikes a sweet spot between timeless American country, rafter-rattling arena rock, and the kind of authentic storytelling that tugs at the heartstrings with a sense of humor and a whole lot of soul. With more new music on the horizon, featuring the grit and gravel of his unmistakably Southern drawl, Zimmerman will continue to showcase the straightforward authenticity for which he is known and loved.
