DIMMU BORGIR - RELEASE COVER SONG OF DEEP PURPLE´s 'PERFECT STRANGERS'

Today, DIMMU BORGIR releases their cover of DEEP PURPLES's 'Perfect Strangers'. The song is featured on their upcoming cover album Inspiratio Profanus which will be released on December 8th via Nuclear Blast Records.                    

Silenoz states about the cover of 'Perfect Strangers': "The idea of doing Perfect Strangers came about quite a while before we actually got around to recording it. It’s a known song by a very well-known band that has influenced many to pick up an instrument. I mean, is there anyone who doesn’t like Deep Purple?! We incorporated our little twist to it while at the same time wanted to stay close to the original. But perhaps it is the more obvious aspects that come to mind when hearing it; the integration between the main musical elements that we also made use of since the beginning like keyboards and guitars."

After their last two successful albums Abrahadabra and Eonian, DIMMU BORGIR herald their 30-year legacy by releasing, together for the first time, a collection of their cover songs. The album Inspiratio Profanus is being announced with the release of the thunderous first single, 'Black Metal' by the extreme metal pioneers VENOM. The album Inspiratio Profanus will be released on December 8th via Nuclear Blast Records.

Silenoz states about the first song 'Black Metal': "Black Metal, the track, and its origin, features something really primeval, raw and unhinged. There is lawlessness and danger connected to it. We did our best to capture the spirit of the ancient gods’ rock ’n roll 24 years later. Did we do it justice? I think so."

Inferno Metal Festival is now revealing that legendary Norwegian black metal titans Dimmu Borgir will be among the headliners for the 2024 edition of the festival, which will take place from March 28-31, 2024 across several venues in Oslo (NO).

Beyond The Gates festival is now revealing the full lineup for its eleventh edition, which will take place in the heart of Bergen, Norway from August 2 - August 5, 2023! This pummeling festival will take place for four days across multiple venues, including USF Verftet, Kulturhuset, and the legendary Grieghallen, where many seminal Norwegian black metal albums were recorded in the 90s. The day to day schedule of bands can be found below!

In addition to this massive extreme metal event, Beyond the Gates offers attendees unique and exciting opportunities to explore Norwegian and black metal culture in this historic city!

For years, fans have been flocking to Bergen to experience their favorite Norwegian artists in their home environment. Nature and local culture has always been a poignant source of inspiration for the bands emerging from the Bergen scene.

Beyond the Gates will make a great effort to give all the traveling fans a unique insight into all aspects of the Norwegian Metal scene and the local culture in general. In that regard, the festival hosts will be putting together a series of events so that fans can enhance and build on the Beyond the Gates Experience, including guided tours, art exhibitions, a tattoo festival, and more that will be revealed soon!
