Two of Texas’ most original, unbridled stars are teaming up for the holidays once again as Koe Wetzel and Parker McCollum reunite for the Naughty or Nice Tour, a five-date co-headlining jaunt across Texas this December.
The outing marks the first iteration of the holiday tour in seven years and comes on the heels of both Wetzel and McCollum headlining their own arena tours throughout 2026. Kicking off December 2 at Floore’s Country Store in Helotes, Texas, the holiday tour continues through Houston, Corpus Christi and Round Rock before wrapping December 10 at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth. Jackson Wendell and Logan Jahnke will support throughout the run.
“It’s been a long time coming for us to run it back with this tour,” notes Wetzel. “It felt right to end the year in Texas and make it a party.”
McCollum shares, “Koe and I did this tour for the first time way back in 2017 when we were still just some kids with a dream. Proud to say we've both come a long way since then, and getting to bring this back after some years off is really special. Looking forward to us both being back in Texas again, and I'll do my best to keep Koe from gettin’ too rowdy.”

Swedish rock icon MATTI ALFONZETTI returns with 'Going for the Kill,' his new studio album set for release on December 11, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.
The first single and official music video, “Runaway”, are also available today, giving a taste of the upcoming record.

Thy Catafalque Release New Single “Tömbök”
Today, the two-time Fonogram winner Thy Catafalque is releasing the second single from its quietly expansive thirteenth album. Both the darkest and heaviest song on XIII: Sárga erdő, “Tömbök” is centered around a natural phenomenon that’s reminiscent of daily life’s affect on the human mind.
“In English, ‘Tömbök’ means Masses”, explains Thy Catafalque visionary Tamás Kátai. “The lyrics are about the method of waste disposal by incineration and the process of how the waste is being divided into heat and slag or lifeless masses and how matter shifts its shape during different chemical and physical circumstances. You can apply the phenomenon to how the human mindset is affected by daily life, if you wish, though that’s just an idea”.

On XIII: Sárga erdő (Yellow Forest), Kátai wanders through an old, half-remembered time from a quietly expansive direction. Thy Catafalque’s new album features more than 30 collaborators, including a 20-person choir and, for the first time in the project’s history, a live drummer. However, the folk and classical elements that flooded 2024’s XII: A gyönyörű álmok ezután jönnek are handled here with a lighter touch. Just as a forest doesn't explain its colors, the album turns inside you, until you look up to discover that you’re somewhere new.
Sárga erdő, out this autumn via Season of Mist, was recorded across various locations and at Miracle Sound Szeged with Gábor Vári again handling engineering, mixing and mastering. It marks another first for the project: real drums, played rather than programmed, for the first time in Thy Catafalque's history. Thirty-four musicians and vocalists appear across the record, along with a twenty-voice male choir, but the folk and classical textures that flooded XII—sitar, kamancheh, zither, strings—are handled with a lighter touch here, chosen with more precision for the moments that call for them. There's no unifying story across the twelve tracks, only that same felt sense of wandering through old, half-remembered time. A forest doesn't explain its colours—it just keeps turning them, until you look up and you're standing somewhere new.

NYC art-rockers ECCE SHNAK announce East Coast tour, previewing new album. 'Anna O' single is out now
NYC art-rockers Ecce Shnak are pleased to announce their upcoming nine-date East Coast tour, running November 11 through November 20, marking a significant new step toward the release of their forthcoming full-length, “Dandy Variances”, due in early 2027 via Records, Man Records.
Formed in 2011, Ecce Shnak (pronounced “Eh-kay sh-knock”) is made up of David Roush (composer, bassist and baritone vocalist), Bella Komodromos (vocals), Chris Krasnow (guitar), Gannon Ferrell (guitar), and Henry Buchanan-Vaughn(drums). Known for their mind-blowing live shows, Ecce Shnak was forged in New York’s vibrant experimental music community, having developed a distinctive collision of art-rock ambition, grunge weight, theatrical songwriting, and experimental instincts.
This is the first string of live dates for Ecce Shnak since they hit the West and East Coast, as well as Great Britain, with UK music legends EMF, a relationship that also led to contributing guest vocals on EMF's stellar single 'LGBTQ+ Lover'.
Now Ecce Shnak takes their explosive performances through Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Quebec, Ontario, New York, New York and Maryland. As they move toward a full-length, audiences can hear some new material alongside songs from the band’s catalog, including 2025's 'Shadows Grow Fangs' EP, mixed by Nicholas Vernhes (Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Wild Nothing, War on Drugs) and mastered by Grammy award-winning engineer Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, The Weeknd, Foo Fighters, Vampire Weekend).
Show-goers will catch an early glimpse of "Dandy Variances", which pushes the band’s established sound into a broader and more ambitious territory, including the singles 'Vincent', 'Eddie, Legalistic Homeslice' and their latest -- 'Anna O'. Combining art-rock swagger, grunge muscle and a distinctly theatrical sense of scale, this was based on a poem penned by Roush's mother Robin Kneubuhl.
Recorded and mixed by Roush and Jeff Lucci, this was mixed with Grammy Award-winning producer Mario McNulty (David Bowie, Prince, Nine Inch Nails) and mastered by multi-platinum engineer Kris Crummett (Sum 41, Sleeping With Sirens). The music video, directed by LA film producer DJay Brawner, sees Bella Komodromos play Anna, who is deeply distressed and entrapped in an asylum. Through an act of heroic resistance to the abuse, she finally sets herself free.

“‘The Price We Pay’ is really about losing someone you love and trying to hold on to the good times while you’re living through the bad ones. Loss is something we all deal with eventually, and sometimes those memories—the laughs, the stories, the moments you’ll never forget—are what get you through the hardest days,” says George Pond, bassist for Swim The Current
Adding an especially meaningful layer to the track is JD DeServio of Black Label Society, who contributes piano to the song. Pond and DeServio share a friendship that spans years of touring, conversations, and a mutual love of music. Both are accomplished bass players, but their long-standing friendship had never translated into a musical collaboration—until now.
While DeServio is widely recognized for his work as a bassist with Black Label Society, Pond emphasizes that his talents extend far beyond the instrument.
"This song became even more special to me because my good buddy JD DeServio from Black Label Society plays piano on the track. JD and I are both bass players, and after all these years of friendship, touring and talking just about every day, we’ve always wanted to do something together musically but somehow never had the opportunity. People obviously know JD as an incredible bass player, but he’s also an amazing multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer—and just an all-around amazing dude."
"More importantly, he’s one of my closest friends. Having him play on a song this personal means more to me than I can really put into words. He absolutely crushed the piano part and brought an emotion to the song that was exactly what it needed. After being friends for so many years, it’s an honor to finally have our names together on a piece of music. I couldn’t be prouder of what he brought to ‘Price We Pay.’”
“The back story on this one is very personal. I had written the music as an instrumental the week my pup Kodi passed away. When George and Greg heard it, they asked if they could use the music for an STC song, and I agreed. The lyrics that George and Marcos wrote capture all the emotions of losing a loved one. It was the perfect marriage of music and lyrics," adds Joe Gareri, the band's lead guitarist.
Bringing together an all-star lineup of rock talents, including vocalist Marcos Leal(formerly of Ill Niño), bassist George Pond (Disciples of Verity), guitarist Greg Antine, drummer Chris Moore (George Lynch, Ultraphonix, Rock of Ages), and lead guitarist Joe Gareri, takes the band's sound to new heights.

Weathers Release New Single "Teeth" and Official Lyric Video via Big Machine Rock
Alt-rock outfit Weathers has released their new track "Teeth" and the accompanying lyric video via Big Machine Rock. Prior to today, the band shared "Happy Pillz (Higher Dose)", a fresh reimagining of fan-favorite track "Happy Pills", and their latest banger, "Antidote". Speaking about the inspiration behind "Teeth", the band commented:
“'Teeth' is one of the most interesting songs we’ve ever written, not because it’s necessarily honest or deep and vulnerable, but actually because it was inspired by my celebrity crush. I wanted to deliver an idea of that kind of parasocial relationship or the thought we all have at least once when thinking about celebrities we like which is “would we be friends in real life?” However the twist being that this character in the song represents those people out there that think they have a personal relationship with someone they don’t know. Hence my favorite lyric, “you would like me, you would love me” which leans into the delusion that maybe they could be friends even though they don’t know that person at all.
We’ve all had celebrity crushes before and wondered what it would be like to meet them. I wanted to take things a step further and bring a dark ridiculous twist to the song making it feel possessive and scary. Fun fact, while writing this song we had this actors tv show playing in the room.”
Fans will soon have their chance to see Weathers hit the stage on the upcoming Moonbloom US tour alongside VOILÀ and Ella Red. The tour kicks off Tuesday, October 27, in Los Angeles, California at The Fonda and wraps on Sunday, November 15, in Denver, Colorado. Afterward, the band will bring the heat to their headlining show on Tuesday, November 17, in Salt Lake City, Utah at Urban Lounge (tickets available at the link here).

ABOUT WEATHERS
Southern California-based alternative rock band Weathers — lead singer/frontman Cameron Boyer, guitarist Cameron Olsenand bassist Brennen Bates — have been consistently creating finely crafted introspective pop songs heavily inspired by the counter-culture of the 80s and 90s since forming in 2015. The band makes music that speaks to those among us who tend to forget that, regardless of outward appearances, everyone is struggling with something and that no one is alone. Weathers’ story is a tale of growing up, of coming into one’s own, and includes themes of depression or anxiety and the often difficult maintenance of mental health.
They first grabbed listeners' attention with 2016's "Happy Pills," which peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Initially, vocalist Boyer and guitarist Olsen met in 2012 while attending a battle of the bands in the Los Angeles suburb of Manhattan Beach. By 2015, they had formed Weathers, recruiting bassist Bates. Signing with RCA Records, they released their debut single, "I Don't Wanna Know," a swaggeringly moody song that drew comparisons to Walk the Moon and The Neighbourhood. Fans followed, and in March 2016 they landed a slot at SXSW. Their follow-up single, "Happy Pills,"garnered the band even more attention, becoming the most added track to rock radio in July 2016. Just a few days ahead of their upcoming tour with TUNGSTEN and KILMARA, INDUCTION are back with a very special release: The modern power metal outfit led by guitarist Tim Hansen has unleashed a video clip for the brand-new version of their epic anthem "Gods Of Steel," featuring none other than Kai Hansen (HELLOWEEN, GAMMA RAY) on guest vocals.
"Gods Of Steel" originally appeared as an exclusive track on the physical editions of INDUCTION’s latest album, LOVE KILLS!, featuring a guest appearance by Antonio Calanna (A Cold Paradise). With its massive choirs, soaring melodies and larger-than-life heavy metal spirit, the song already stood out as one of the band’s most epic compositions. For this new version, INDUCTION are bringing one of the most influential voices and personalities in German heavy and power metal into the fold.
For Tim Hansen, the collaboration carries an additional personal significance. Not only does he consider his father’s unmistakable voice a perfect fit for a song like "Gods Of Steel," the two also recently worked together on the new HANSEN album, Born with a Hammer, that was released on September 18th via earMUSIC.

Ferret Music's Wounded Touch Release New EP, Share “Scarlet Psalm” Video
Wounded Touch have released their brand new EP, "They Promised Eden, Vol. 2", alongside a brand new video for "Scarlet Psalm" via Ferret Music, the influential independent label known for shaping the landscape of 2000's metalcore, born of a love for punk, hardcore and metal. A scorched meditation on complicity, grief, and the violence of looking away, the track finds the band confronting the distance between witnessing suffering and taking responsibility for what comes next.
At once prayer, confession, and indictment, "Scarlet Psalm" traces the wreckage of a world conditioned to consume violence at a distance. While the lyrics give the track a ritualistic weight, the focus remains painfully human, confronting the shame of what can't be undone, the things forgiven behind a screen, and the peace that becomes intolerable once it is recognized as silence. Offering a closer look at "Scarlet Psalm" and speaking to how the Vol. 2 EP came together, vocalist Nick Holland of Wounded Touch shares:
"Volume 2, in contrast to its counterpart that released earlier in the year, maintains its cynical nature but with an aggressive optimism in both sound and subject. We admittedly hadn’t had the full thing mapped out or written when volume 1 dropped but the response to it had us in the studio almost immediately with a frenetic energy we hadn’t experienced since we were teens. Scarlet Psalm is the bridge between the band’s sound we started with and where we’ve arrived today, carried by lyrics about the righteousness of martyrdom. All our mistakes we’ve made in the past and up to this point, and the chance we were still given by Ferret coalesces with the song’s final redemptive line. “Let me make this right."
With both volumes now released, vocalist Nick Holland of Wounded Touch speaks to the evolution connecting the two chapters of "They Promised Eden":
"The marriage of “They Promised Eden” Volume 1 and 2 as a singular release is like looking at a single photo of a living thing mid metamorphosis. The first half is where the band took its sharp turn and swung for the fences with an angry, violent recklessness in sound and design. And the second half is a sonic reflection of that choice and of our trajectory. We’d only had a portion of a song and a half written when we signed to Ferret following Volume 1 and we didn’t know if we should continue on our path or deviate, but we ultimately chose to maintain with the confidence of our writing and as a nod to the earlier years as a band, include a re-recording of Sleep a Cicada Would Envy which seemed to still match the overall bleak, machine like tone. Though it’s a collection of ultimately two separate releases, it still feels like a singular release in concept and the pieces had always been intended to fit together that way."

Dutch symphonic metal giants EPICA have announced that their monumental live spectacle, Live at The Symphonic Synergy, is now available worldwide as a digital album.
Live at The Symphonic Synergy was recorded during their sold-out show at AFAS Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on September 20th 2024, marking a monumental milestone in EPICA’s 20-plus-year career. The release features the band performing alongside a full orchestra and choir, seamlessly blending heavy metal riffs, intricate progressive arrangements, and grand orchestral compositions. This digital album edition allows fans to experience the full, immersive audio of this landmark performance, anywhere.

MIRANDA LAMBERT IS COOKING WITH CRISCO ON NEW ALBUM OUT NOW VIA MCA
Miranda Lambert has never been interested in making the same record twice. For more than two decades, Lambert has followed her instincts wherever they lead, whether that’s hard-driving honky-tonk, stripped-down acoustic storytelling, rock influences or Texas singer-songwriter traditions. Today, the three-time GRAMMY winner releases Crisco, a new album via MCA that explores country music’s rich sonic history while embracing the freedom to follow the music wherever it leads. “Crisco started with a conversation,” Lambert explains. “Jesse Frasure and I were talking about all these records we love and wondering why country music doesn’t reflect back into its history more often, especially when we’ve got this incredible archive of music to inspire us – from artists like Patsy Cline, Glen Campbell, Conway & Loretta, to Kenny & Dolly and so many others.”
What began as a plan to write only a handful of songs quickly grew into something much bigger. Together, Lambert and co-producer Jesse Frasure immersed themselves in the sounds and spirit of an era that had long inspired them, creating an album that embraces sweeping strings, lush harmonies and countrypolitan production while allowing the musical traditions of country to stretch in unexpected directions.
“We weren’t trying to make a retro record,” Lambert notes. “We were channeling a feeling.”
That intention shaped more than the music. It inspired an entire creative world. The pair traded playlists, collected visual references and carefully crafted the atmosphere before recording a note. By the time they walked into Nashville’s Blackbird Studio – complete with disco balls overhead, intentional lighting, a handpicked band and a nine-piece string section – they weren’t simply recording songs. They were stepping into a world fully imagined.
“In twenty-five years of making records in Nashville, it was easily the most magical and moving project I’ve ever been part of,” Frasure says. “Everybody walked into the studio believing in the same vision, and you can hear that on every track.”
The title track captures that vision in a single word. “Crisco” is country and disco. Billy Bob’s and Studio 54. Rhinestones and roller skates. Playful, at times a little tongue-in-cheek, yet completely unapologetic about finding joy wherever the music leads.
“I’ve made a lot of records with a lot of heavy subjects over the years,” Lambert reflects of her journey as a writer, performer, label founder and record producer. “This album feels mostly lighthearted. It’s refreshing to get up on stage and sing something fun. Making this record also unlocked a ‘time to do whatever I want’ feeling. Being able to create freely without putting parameters around my art has been really, really fun. I don't think I've ever smiled that much in the studio.”
That spirit runs through the entire album. Yet whether she’s writing about complicated love, restless spirits, resilience, regret or redemption, Lambert’s songs have never settled for easy answers. The women at the center of these stories are funny, fearless, flawed and fiercely human. They fall in love, make mistakes, keep moving forward and occasionally dance through the heartache because that’s what life asks of them.
Across Crisco, Lambert explores every corner of that emotional landscape. There’s the timeless heartbreak of “Cowgirl Curtsy” and “Two Things Can Be True,” the sly confidence of “Cuttin’ Onions” and the wanderlust of “Till The Going’s Gone.” There’s comforting familiarity in “Right Where We Left It,” hopeful resilience in “To Everything,” the effortless chemistry of “Whiskey Business” and the dreamy escape of “Sunset Marquis.”
Along the way, Lambert reunites with longtime friend Chris Stapleton on the GRAMMY-nominated “A Song To Sing,” teams with “Choosin’ Texas” cowriter Ella Langley on cinematic “Snakeskin Boots” and honors one of her songwriting heroes with a new interpretation of Jim Croce’s “I’ll Have To Say I Love You In A Song.”
Rather than looking backward for nostalgia’s sake, Crisco celebrates one of country music’s richest creative eras while proving the genre has always been bigger than any one sound. Built on curiosity, joy and fearless musicianship, the album honors tradition without standing still.
“I hope when people listen to Crisco, it feels familiar while also feeling fresh,” says Lambert. “They can grab onto something that feels nostalgic, put their roller skates on and go on the journey with us.”

Matching the song’s forward momentum, “How You Been” trades studio gloss for an up-tempo, driving arrangement with the feel of a full band in the room.
