Kreator Pay Homage to Dario Argento's Horror Classic "Suspiria" in "Tränenpalast" (Feat. Britta Görtz) Video

Metal titans KREATOR have released a new single from their sixteenth full-length, Krushers Of The World, which will be out on January 16 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Arriving just in time for Halloween, the song "Tränenpalast" is a comprehensive homage to horror maestro Dario Argento's 1977 cult film Suspiria, which is hailed by fans as one of the most defining genre entries of its era. While the lead melody references the film's original score by Italian prog band GOBLIN, lending it a melodic death metal touch, the lyrics mention "the three mothers," an ancient witch coven from the Suspiria universe. In addition, the music video created by acclaimed masters of the macabre, Grupa 13, features KREATOR performing in the film's haunted ballet school setting complemented by disturbing images of said witches in various stages of transformation.

You can watch the video below — if you dare!

"Tränenpalast" features vocal coach Britta Görtz of extreme metal band HIRAES.

Surprise! Currents Drop "All That Follows" EP Today + Share "Rise & Fall" Video

Connecticut metalcore outfit CURRENTS have released their new EP All That Follows via SharpTone Records.

Listen here

The band has also shared the video for "Rise & Fall," which features career archival footage. Watch it below.

"'ALL THAT FOLLOWS' is the end of The Death We Seek. These are some of our favorite songs thus far and the beginning of a new chapter for us. We kept this close to our hearts and trusted our guts on what we really wanted. These songs are an exercise of independence, experimentation and collaboration within the band to lengths we haven’t gone before," says Wille. "Here, we explore disillusionment, inequality, betrayal, and the ambiguity of life and its purpose. This world can be both a great and terrible place; and good or bad, we pour all of those experiences into our music. While the result is rarely a happy story, sharing it all with you is always such a positive and cathartic experience. We're proud to put this out into the world and to see you connect with it in your own way."

Long before tallying hundreds of millions of streams and playing to sold-out crowds, the spark behind Currents began to flicker as early as 2011. Wille had joined the fold during 2015, and the band pushed forward with a series of critically acclaimed fan favorite releases such as The Place I Feel Safest [2017], I Let The Devil In EP [2018], The Way It Ends [2020], and The Death We Seek [2023]. Following the latter's release, Everything Is Noise raved, "Currents are one of the few that are capable of crafting a modern metalcore sound that is unrelenting in every which way whilst still being incredibly accessible." Beyond praise courtesy of MetalSucks and more, Distorted Sound rated it "9-out-of-10," proceeding to profess, "It makes the future of this brilliant set of musicians one of the most exciting prospects in music to this day." Along the way, they shared stages with everyone from Parkway Drive and Beartooth to Ice Nine Kills, We Came As Romans, and Miss May I.

Volumes Announce New Album "Mirror Touch" Out 12/12 + Share "S.O.A.P." Visualizer

15 years into their career, Volumes have weathered ups, downs, time, trends, and everything else life could throw at them only to come out stronger on the other side. Against all odds, a devout audience has ridden shotgun and grown with them every step of the way, waiting for this moment.

The Los Angeles quartet — Michael Barr [vocals], Raad Soudani [bass], Myke Terry [vocals], and Nick Ursich [drums] — are thrilled to announce their fifth album, titled Mirror Touch. It will be released digitally on December 12 via longtime label Fearless Records. The physical album will arrive on February 27 of next year. Pre-order it here

Volumes have dropped the visualizer for the new single "S.O.A.P." Watch it

Volumes have never sounded as confident and assured as they do on this riff-roaring new single. Crunchy, industrial-tinged production, screamed vs. melodic vocal interplay, and a thunderous breakdown signal the beginning of the new era of Volumes. If Meshuggah or Fear Factory entered into a cage match with the Terminator: Judgment Day's T-1000 liquid antagonist, it would sound a lot like "S.O.A.P."

"'S.O.A.P.' is about pure and impure indulgence," the band explains. "Good versus evil. Playing with fire or magic — the lines are blurred here. We self-nurture habits that are deemed immoral, although who is the person making that decisions for us?"

Through a decade-and-a-half, Volumes' quiet impact has been felt, with over 167 million streams in the U.S. alone, widespread acclaim, and sold-out shows. They've carved out their own corner of heavy music with an inimitable hybrid of head-crushing polyrhythmic prog-spiked metal, hardcore spirit, and unbridled attitude. They have assuredly leveled up over the course of albums such as Via [2011], No Sleep [2014], Different Animals [2017], and Happier? [2021]. KERRANG! hailed the latter as "an album that gives a nod to the band's past while still bringing in new ideas." Meanwhile, the group shared stages on tour with everyone from Ice Nine Kills and Born of Osiris to Dance Gavin Dance and Counterparts. The Los Angeles group continues to fortify a full-on sensory assault with thick riffing, chilling soundscapes, and the venomous bite of its incomparable two-headed vocal hydra.

First single “Obsession” off upcoming album by WICKED will be unleashed today on all digital streaming services, accompanied by a live visualizer!

"October 31st, marks the end of the harvest! The boys in WICKED are bringing an offering when the veil is at its thinnest! Now you can't put it down. It ignites your nerves, setting fire to your veins, and all you know is you want more. Are you in love or is this something else? Fixation, fascination and lust. Rock N Roll like you've never heard it before! There's a new full length album from WICKED on the horizon and you just may become obsessed after the first single drops this Halloween. Be aware; Obsession by WICKED will be unleashed today on all digital streaming services, accompanied by a live visualizer! You've been warned! Your latest Obsession will be WICKED!"

"We've been really busy in the studio over the last year digging deep into a song writing chapter that has continued to evolve from our previous albums. With each album we feel a growth and evolution that seems to follow us through our lives. As we leave the "Sunburn" album in the rear view and all its reflection of our extreme lifestyle and ups and downs as we started this band, we now look forward to a song writing chapter of where we are going! We can't wait for you to hear our upcoming album release, but for now we hope you find yourself obsessed over our first single and all of its fresh, exciting nuances!" - Danny

"When we first sat down to write Obsession, we were fueled by so many exciting experiences in our lives touring and meeting some of the most interesting characters in Rock N Roll. It was clear our lives had been consumed and fixated on being rockstars and we wouldn't have it any other way. There's something romantic, dark and sexual about that kind of devotion in an ethereal way. Which isn't surprising that this track is dripping with that kind of lyricism and influence." - Scotty V

"It was so liberating to dive head first into this track and allow it to call on so many different influences. Melodic rock with a metal edge, just take a listen to that break down in the bridge! It's already a fan favorite part for those who've caught sneak peaks at our recent shows!" - Gunnar

"Becoming obsessed with something can be such an experience, sometimes for the best and sometimes for the worst. Once it starts, it's almost impossible to take hold of and reel in. We wanted to put all of that into this song and really take the listener to where we've found ourselves. Like a runaway train ablaze, this song will bring the heavy, melodic power you've been looking for when you just need to Rock The F*#K Out!" - Chad Michael

"Obsession" opens the floodgates of upcoming releases and music videos for WICKED's latest upcoming album due early 2026! Let the song rip as you Rock this Halloween and let yourself become obsessed with the magic of straight ahead High Energy Rock N Roll in 2025! The band will be celebrating the release of the new single “Obsession” with a special release show on November 7th at Record Archive in Rochester NY. First 50 people will get a limited signed Obsession poster!

NIGHT TERROR'S FIRST SINGLE AND VIDEO “REMEDY IS IN THE POISON” IS OUT ON OCTOBER 31ST THROUGH DEKO ENTERTAINMENT

Meet NIGHT TERROR…the supergroup rising from the newly energized ashes of Seven Witches, and the brainchild of acclaimed guitarist, Jack Frost. Frost, who besides being the face of Seven Witches, is best known for playing & touring with national acts such as Aldo Nova, Savatage, Joey Belladonna, Lizzy Borden and many others, put together this monster all-star band of who’s who in metal today. The line-up consists of vocal legend Jason McMaster of Dangerous Toys & Watchtower, drum icon Karl Wilcox of Diamond Head, TANK & Brothers In Arms, bassist extraordinaire, Dennis Hayes of Iced Earth & Seven Witches, and also esteemed special guest on keys, Eric Ragno of Londen.

Night Terror’s debut album Return Of The Witches will bring you back to the era of the famed Seven Witches, Passage To The Other Side record, with its screaming Halford-like vocals & riffs of pure, unapologetic metal at its finest. That combined with killer thunderous drums and sick bass runs, will take you on a journey to those past days of the early 80’s, and the rise of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Frost’s mission in putting together this newest project with some of the industry’s most quintessential players, was not to reinvent the wheel…but rather to resurrect it. As he states, “Night Terror is very special to me. Up from the ashes of Seven Witches. I wanted to do more in that power metal vein. And having the opportunity to work with Jason was a magical moment. He’s one of the greatest voices of that classic NWOBHM. And my boys Dennis and Karl just brought it. This EP is true classic Metal. Horns Up!"

Watch “Remedy Is In The Poison” Video Below.

McMaster continues, "This collection of tunes was an honor to put together with these guys. Jack's guitar playing is taking my brain, and my guts to places in my subconscious.  These places are where I float around and create melodies and topics for lyrics. I feel we are keeping a style of breathing. If you like Dio, Sabbath, UFO, and NWOBHM, this could be satisfaction." The first single and video “Remedy Is In The Poison” is out on Halloween with the full album dropping in early December. There are a limited number of autographed bundles signed by the entire band, so don’t miss out on owning a piece of this soon to be classic NWOBHM release.

Morgan Wallen Sets 21-Date ‘Still The Problem’ Stadium Tour for ‘26

After concluding his 2025 I’m The Problem Tour in September, which left Pittsburgh Post-Gazette dubbing him “one of the hottest artists of the century” and AZ Central opining “he’s a commanding presence,” 19x Billboard Music Award winner Morgan Wallen is running it back, today announcing his Still The Problem Tour 2026. Pre-sale registration for Still The Problem Tour is open now through Nov. 6 at 10pm local time at StillTheProblem.com. Public on-sale begins on Friday, Nov. 7 at 10am local time.

Promoted by AEG Presents – with the exception of the Tuscaloosa, Alabama show, which is produced by Live Nation – Wallen’s 11-city, 21-date Still The Problem stadium tour will kick off on April 10, 2026 with two consecutive nights at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Wallen will play two nights in most locations, including stops at three major college football stadiums: Florida’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Michigan’s Michigan Stadium and one night only at Alabama’s Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

A rotating lineup of guests including Brooks & Dunn, HARDY,  Ella Langley and Thomas Rhett join as direct support, with Gavin Adcock, Flatland Cavalry and Hudson Westbrook as second-of-four and Jason Scott & The High Heat, Zach John King, Vincent Mason and Blake Whiten as first-of-four. Support assets are available HERE.

Still The Problem is inspired by Wallen’s fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, which arrived May 16, 2025 via Big Loud/Mercury Records. I’m The Problem spent 12 non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200 albums chart and 13 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart. It also became his third consecutive album to spend at least 10 weeks atop the Billboard 200 – making Wallen the first artist in history to achieve that feat.

Internationally, the album debuted at No. 1 in seven countries upon release and became Wallen’s first album to debut at No. 1 on the UK Official Charts, making him one of only five artists to debut at summit with a country album. In Australia, I’m The Problem became the longest-running No. 1 album by a country artist in 10 years, with three consecutive weeks atop the ARIA albums chart, while “What I Want (feat. Tate McRae)” spent five weeks at No. 1 on Australia’s Country Airplay chart.

As with previous tours, a portion of every ticket sold will benefit his Morgan Wallen Foundation (MWF) — which supports programs for youth in the areas of sports and music. Those donations enabled MWF to contribute over $600,000 worth of instruments to schools in need across U.S. touring cities in 2025, including Gulf Shores, Alabama, in addition to a $30,000 donation to the Toronto Blue Jays’ Jays Cares RBI program. About Morgan Wallen:
Morgan Wallen sets the pace in, and beyond, country music – with Billboard calling him “one of the biggest stars in the music world right now” and The New Yorker adding “[he’s] popular on a scale that seems to circumvent genre entirely.” With 20 No. 1 singles at Country radio, 19 Billboard Music Awards to-date, 198 weeks spent atop Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart (the most in country music history), the highest selling country tour under his belt and more, Wallen has propelled country music to a global level in less than five years.

Wallen’s fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, available now via Big Loud / Mercury, debuted at No. 1 globally across seven countries; while his preceding albums – Dangerous: The Double Album and One Thing At A Time – have remained in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart for more than 100 weeks each, making him the first artist ever to achieve that feat. I’m The Problem – which Hits Daily Double observes is “a 37-song cycle of self-reckoning” – has already yielded five No. 1’s at Country radio, including the title track, which remained at No. 1 for eight weeks. Wallen also broke his own record for the most simultaneous entries in Billboard Hot 100 History, with 37 songs charting on release week.

After recently concluding his 20-stadium-show 2025 I’m the Problem Tour in September, Wallen is readying his 21-stadium show Still The Problem Tour for 2026. Kicking off April 10 with two consecutive nights at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the run will include stops at three major college football stadiums: Florida’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Michigan’s Michigan Stadium and one night only at Alabama’s Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Wallen donates a portion of every ticket sold to his Morgan Wallen Foundation — which supports programs for youth in the areas of sports and music. More at MorganWallenFoundation.org.

Singer/Songwriter Kaitlin Butts Signs to Republic Records; New 'Yeehaw Sessions' EP Coming Nov. 14

Gaining traction as one of country music’s fastest-rising artists, acclaimed Nashville-based singer, songwriter, and performer Kaitlin Butts will unveil her new Yeehaw Sessions EP on November 14, 2025. It notably marks the celebrated rising star's debut under her recently minted deal with Republic Records. Pre-order/Pre-save Yeehaw Sessions EP HERE.

"From releasing my album over a year ago as an independent artist, to having a viral song, to now signing a record deal with such a prestigious label like Republic Records, the journey has felt nothing short of surreal,” shares Butts. "I’m so inspired by the Republic team and how their vision aligns with the dreams that I’ve always had for myself.”

Kicking off this next chapter in earnest, she just shared a powerfully moving cover of the Jimmy Eat World classic “The Middle” giving fans the first taste of the forthcoming  EP. Listen to “The Middle” Below.

The woman declared “unafraid to test boundaries,” by Rolling Stone, spikes this pop-punk staple with serious Oklahoma soul. Stripping back the arrangement back to bare acoustic guitar, slide, fiddle, and dobro, her vocals especially shine as she delivers the instantly recognizable hook with a whole lot of heart. Ultimately, this version of “The Middle” illuminates Butts’ impressive range and uncanny ability to make even the most recognizable track her own with respect and reverence.

"It has been such an incredible year! And in the midst of these great things — viral songs, huge tour opportunities — all that positive attention can bring with it some negative moments too. I was feeling particularly down about myself after some of those negative comments online and starting to wonder if maybe they were right. Then one night at karaoke with friends — because that’s what I, as a professional singer, do to make myself feel better,” Butts shares with tongue firmly planted in cheek, “this girl started singing 'The Middle,' a song that I was very familiar with but reading the lyrics on the screen, it was the first time I was able to take in what the song meant and I started to tear up. I needed to hear those words in that exact moment. It was a reminder to me that I’ve worked my entire life for this dream, and I’ll be damned if I let some keyboard warrior rain on my parade. I hope my version meets someone the way that song met me in that moment."

On the music video, she shares: "In Jimmy Eat World’s original music video, a girl shows up to a party, strips her coat at the door and walks into a party where everyone is in their underwear. In this video, I wanted to pay tribute to that and throw my band in the back of a truck like we were on our way to that party,” Butts says. "I called up Chris Beyrooty to direct and we headed to Taylor Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch in Weatherford, TX. With the band dressed in their skivvies, we hit record and captured something hilariously beautiful."

In the spirit of her first covers EP, 2022’s Sad Yeehaw Sessions, the Yeehaw Sessions sees Butts re-record, reimagine, and reinvigorate a handful of personal favorite tunes accompanied by her live band.

“A couple years ago I put out an EP called Sad Yeehaw Sessions, a collection of sad covers that I have always loved and wish I had written myself.” Butts shares. “It fit perfectly with my album at the time, What Else Can She Do, which I had written during a difficult time in my life. After releasing Roadrunner!, which features much happier songs, I wanted folks to know that there were brighter days ahead. In keeping with that theme, we've created the antithesis of Sad Yeehaw Sessions, something upbeat, rowdy and fun….all cover songs that I’ve been performing live the last couple years."

After road-testing these renditions much to the delight of audiences everywhere, she has outfitted the EP with covers of “Red Wine Supernova” by Chappell Roan“Sin Wagon” by The Chicks,” “Tulsa Time” by Don Williams, as well as “The Middle.” Plus, it boasts a new recording of her viral hit “You Ain’t Gotta Die (To Be Dead to Me),” infusing it with a rush of energy.

Howl Owl Howl Offers First Scent of '90s-Coded Throwback on "My Cologne"

After revealing their surprise formation last month, new rock group Howl Owl Howl is giving fans the first scent of its raw, sharp-edged sound. Dropping their debut song “My Cologne” (10/31), the trio of ‘90s alternative legends unveil a punchy garage rocker with a playful core, dedicated to the act of reinvention.

Written by Howl Owl Howl members Darius Rucker (Hootie & the Blowfish frontman/multi-Platinum country star), Mike Mills (R.E.M. co-founder/Rock & Roll Hall of Famer), and Steve Gorman (The Black Keys co-founder/former drummer), “My Cologne” features shared lead vocals from both Rucker and Mills, with a fist-pumping rhythm built on Gorman’s killer instincts.

But the new band’s lineup is not the only star-studded piece of the “My Cologne” story.

Scrappy and irreverent, the tongue-in-cheek anthem was actually inspired by Ariana Grande’s 2018 track “R.E.M.” – which then turned into a perfume line with a familiar feeling cassette-tape package. Mills says he found the possible connection to his iconic band too hilarious not to write about … especially since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

“I’m not dissing Ariana – in fact I got no problem with it at all,” he says with a laugh. “I just thought it was funny that either she was completely unaware of how weird that was, or she was aware and didn’t care. Either way, I thought I’d write a little song and say I want to smell like Ariana Grande.”

Stream or download Howl Owl Howl’s “My Cologne” Below.

Meanwhile, only a few days remain before Howl Owl Howl starts its first chapter on the road.

Showcasing the band’s longtime creative camaraderie and unique new sound, the Howl Owl Howl Tour 2025 features nine dates beginning November 3 in Indianapolis, Indiana, with additional stops stretching across the Eastern U.S. and Midwest.

Each show will combine three distinctive, award-winning talents in new and unheard ways, as the band performs their original music live for the first time – tunes steeped in the rebellious passion and forever-young philosophy of rock…yet designed in a different phase of life.

About Howl Owl Howl:
As a true supergroup drawing on three of the most impactful careers in American rock, Howl Owl Howl is an elusive musical creature: a brand-new band with an old school rock ‘n’ roll soul. Founded by GRAMMY-winning Hootie & the Blowfish frontman/multi-Platinum country star Darius Rucker, REM co-founder/Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Mike Mills, and The Black Crowes co-founder and former drummer/lauded media personality Steve Gorman, Howl Owl Howl was born from friendship and the pure joy of collaboration, and is now powered by the world-class instincts of true originals, who are far from done making noise. Infusing roots rock with an open-minded alternative flair, the band’s first batch of music was 30 years in the making, matching a fluid, feel-oriented rhythm section to the barrel-chested vocal rasp of an iconic frontman. After moving in the same orbit through their hard-touring ‘90s heyday, an upcoming album captures the group’s wide range of sonic influence in melody-driven freeform style. From punchy garage rock and jangle pop to throwback soul, blues, and beyond, self-penned songs veer from deeply personal to colorful and quirky, on a set steeped in the rebellious passion and forever-young philosophy of rock…yet designed in a different phase of life. With more maturity and humility – but the same us-against-the-world swagger each member brought to their genre-defining first act – the near-mythical group hits the road in late 2025, swooping into a new era.

Liverpool duo THE WOOD present soulful and timeless new 'Cold Fire' EP Title track features stunning renowned Scottish vocalist Brooke Combe

Liverpool-based duo The Wood present their 'Cold Fire' EP, released via UK imprint Riverdream Records. Here, Alex Evans (vocals) and Steve Powell (guitar and bass) are at their best, with solid grooves and melodies full of beauty, passion and genuine feeling. Creating music that is difficult to categorise yet somehow sounds familiar, The Wood cleverly mesh soul, rock and folk in songs filled with purpose and an innate sense of release.

Mastered by Pete Maher (U2, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Pixies. Nine Inch Nails), the EP was produced bySteve Powell, an expert at unearthing sonic magic. Having recorded many notable artists records, includingMichael Head and The Strands, John Power, def.fo, The Stairsand Ella Guru, Powell also produced and played guitar on the firstMichael Head and the Red Elastic Band record 'Arturius Revisited', as well as the number one indie album'Adios Senor Pussycat'.

For the lead track 'Cold Fire'the duo are joined by ex-Island Records vocalist Brooke Combe, fresh from an appearance on Later With Jools Holland and having just supported Lionel Richie on his UK-Ireland summer tour and Benson Boone on his US tour this last month. She’s tasked herself with bringing more soul to the masses, so she’s in more than appropriate company with The Wood. A shared mission it seems.

The balmy blues chords of an electric piano open before Combe's timeless soul voice steps quietly into a willing spotlight. She’s upfront in the mix, singing to your face; yet it feels close and personal. 'Cold Fire' soothes its way toward the chorus, building around a conclave of gospel harmonies and a sultry, simmering groove. The arrival of Alex Evans’ voice, tumbling down the registers and through the changes, comes edged with a pure soul grit. A perfect storm of gospel, soul, jazz and rock, and its real. It feels ageless, an uncut gem of a song presented in the most natural way.

The Wood's funkier-than-thou version of 'Romantic Attitude', the John Fitch and Associates rare soul classic, screams to be heard and then shrugs its shoulders with an insistent funk groove, Steve Powell’s spectacular psyched-up six stringed wig-outs feature as standard, sounding like the party you really wish you’d gone to.

'Hold On' feels time-aged, sundried, dusty and raw, like Laurel Canyon through a cracked and dirty windscreen. You can feel there’s whisky nearby. It’s a song of yearning and hope, a conversation windblown by time. Steve Powell’s minimal production and Phil Melville’s interwoven layers of slide dobro swoop around Alex Evans’ scored soul vocal, in a space where only what’s necessary is allowed. No extras, no fuss from this perfectly balanced songwriting duo.

'Wait For The Sun' means business. It comes storming in, in a blizzard of insistent urgency, intense and unforgiving. It’s all chugging and rock guitars, blissed out harmonies, and an Alex Evans vocal steeped in his trademark passionate energy. This is The Wood in triumphant mode, and rightly so, because the 'Cold Fire' EP is a definite triumph.

Rewinding a few years, Evans and Powell met while Evans was recording at his Ark Recording Studios, located amongst the imposing brick edifices of Liverpool's ancient dockland. Released in 2024, their debut 'Days' album (previewed by 'Let It Loose'), also involved Martin Smith and Simon James (The Coral, Shack) on brass and Jake Howden-Woodward (Nova Twins) on drums.

As of October 31, the 'Cold Fire' EP is available everywhere online, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp.

Jamey Johnson and Riley Green Team Up for Fiery Tune "Smoke," Out Now

Two Alabama powerhouses unite on “Smoke,” a new song performed by Jamey Johnson and Riley Green and co-written with Erik Dylan. Johnson and Green’s newest track explores the different creations of smoke, from anger and cars to gravel and cigarettes. Listen to “Smoke” Below.

Johnson also joins Green’s Damn Country Music Tour in November for nine dates:
Nov. 6  |  Grand Rapids, MI
Nov. 7  |  St. Louis, MO
Nov. 8  |  Kansas City, MO
Nov. 13  |  University Park, PA
Nov. 14  | Toledo, OH
Nov. 15  |  Peoria, IL
Nov. 20  | Lincoln, NE
Nov. 21  |  Oklahoma City, OK
Nov. 22  |  North Little Rock, AR

“It was Riley’s idea,” Johnson says of the song. “He called me and we booked some time to get together with Erik Dylan. We sat down and scribbled it out over the course of about an hour.

“It has an interesting sound to it, with one part going down while the other part is going up. I like the whole concept of this guy not being too upset about whatever she is mad at. That smoke probably has a lot to do with it.”

Written with Erik Dylan, Green and Johnson recorded “Smoke” at The Cash Cabin and Big Gassed Studios. “Smoke” is produced by Kyle Lehning and Jim “Moose” Brown and recorded/mixed by T.W. Cargile. Although Johnson previously worked with Lehning on a Randy Travis tribute record, this was the first time the two worked together from start to finish on one of his songs.

“It was just a blast getting to write with Riley and Erik and a great song to get to record with Kyle and Moose at the helm,” Johnson says.

Johnson and Green attended the same college, Jacksonville State, and share a deep love of Alabama and its people. “There’s a natural connection with us there,” Johnson says. “I was immediately impressed with his writing and singing.”

Although the good friends have performed live and played golf together, “Smoke” marks the first recording they have created together. Green and Johnson share a love of music and lots of laughter when they are in the same room.

"Writing this song with Jamey was a lot of fun,” Green shares. “After spending time on the road together earlier this year, it just felt natural to get in the studio and make some country music together."

Green and Johnson have appeared together at places such as Losers Bar and Grill in Nashville, the Windy City Smokeout, Green’s Buford Bonds Foundation Golf Tournament and Regions Celebrity Golf Tournament and have performed duets together, such as Johnson’s “In Color” and “High Cost of Living.” Videos capturing the two teasing each other while golfing have become popular online.

“One of my favorite things about Riley is his sense of humor, and he can take it as much as he dishes it out, so that’s why we are always hurling comments at each other,” Johnson says. “Recently, when one of the videos caught some traction, I felt bad about it. You don’t hear him giving me crap. You just hear me messing with him and it’s not a good look, so I had to call and apologize for that!”

Johnson jokes that he needs to apologize again to Green, this time for recording the song that was Riley’s idea soon after it was written. “I guess I should have talked to him before I ran into the studio and recorded it,” he says. “But I did what I did! I called and said, ‘Hey, where are you? I just recorded it.’ If he was thinking about recording it and putting it on his record, I guess I ruined that! My apologies to Riley Green.

“I am usually the guy that is pretty safe to write with because for 14 years I didn’t put anything out. Nobody had any indication that I would be running to the studio. Unfortunately for Riley, I had a studio session booked the next week, so we definitely grabbed ‘Smoke’ and went to work on it. I probably owe Riley a song!”

The song’s all-star band includes Jim “Moose” Brown on acoustic guitar and B-3 organ, Bobby Terry on steel and acoustic guitar, Shawn Camp on acoustic guitar, Larry Paxton on bass, Greg Marrow on drums, James Mitchell on electric guitar, Eric Darken on percussion and Wyatt Beard adding background vocals.

Los Angeles dreampop-synthwave duo LUCKYANDLOVE presents topical 'Humaura' album

Los Angeles dreampop / darkwave outfit LUCKYANDLOVE present their third album 'Humaura' (pronounced "hu • mau • ra"), which they define as the atmosphere emanating from the feelings of the human spirit void of technological control. This album weaves a compelling narrative through the current of the human condition, boldly challenging the digital dross of modern existence with a passionate plea for flesh-and-blood connection and unfettered autonomy.

LUCKYANDLOVE is the raw sonic experiment of Loren Luck and April Love. Their live analog synth beats, Moog instrumentation and beautiful, harmonic vocals blend fuzzy synthgaze, blue-black neon darkwave, and tigerprint electro punk. With visceral, urgently-present dark electro-pop appeal that stretches through time and space, their 'Lucky + Love' and 'Transitions' albums earned them a global fan following and led to US and UK tours and various sync licensing placements.

Their new 'Humaura' album moves from hard-won emotional clarity to a liberating perspective on our current state of affairs. Written during the hermetically-sealed pandemic, it explores themes of human connection, imperfection, detachment / detoxing from social media, and being in control of creativity.

“This is an action-packed, cinematic, entertaining and soulful electro-dance record full of fresh air and wide-open roads where there is more freedom to party, to be in nature, and to be our wild selves. There was a new quiet that we observed - the pandemic was a weird experience. We tried to make the best of it, making art, taking nature trips, photographing this microscopic world we discovered. We worked on ourselves, strengthened our relationship, and weaved everything into our music,” says April Love.

Loren Luck adds, “We spent hundreds of hours performing in total isolation — our DTLA rehearsal space, our Echo Park space — and continuing the creative process outside, along the LA river, writing a lot of songs while listening to birds. By truly going ‘underground’ during the making of this album, we were taking back our lives — just by figuring out what it meant being human, in its purest form. Once you make peace with that, your thinking becomes free, so now we’re free to make the rules.”

Recorded, mixed and mastered for digital release by Grammy award-winning engineer Be Hussey (Modern English, Swervedriver, The Church, Twin Tribes, Boy Harsher, Kim Deal) at Balboa Studio and at Catwater, this album was mastered for vinyl and lathe cut by Grammy-nominated engineer Nicholas Townsend (Cheap Trick, Weezer, Garbage, Dr. Dre, 2Pac, Grimes) at Townsend Mastering.

'Humaura' takes us on a sonic expedition from the high-voltage anxiety of being a "screen zombie" and the crucial urgency to reconnect with the natural world and free thought (‘I Am Human’) to the raw, visceral pangs of loneliness and the search for intimacy ('Lonely At Night'). LUCKYANDLOVE charts a course toward liberation, championing the brave release of truths ( 'Secret Is Out') and the hard-won, exhilarating joy found in breaking free from societal and digital entrapments—culminating in the melodic sunshine of finding true self and a harmonious "final bliss moment" ('Melt in Sunshine').

'Name of Love' explores the wisdom gained from defining oneself through past relational pain, which then fuels the kinetic energy of survival anthems like 'Run On Run' and 'Feelz So Good', celebrating the exhilarating escape and raw thrill of the open road. The album achieves a crucial distance with  'Hawks Do Cry', juxtaposing nature’s tranquil, powerful vantage point with the noise of the human world. They finally offer solace in the reflective nostalgia of 'Down To Black', where the search for community and belonging finds its perfect, memorable fit.

Out October 31 via SRD - Southern Record Distributors, 'Humaura' can be ordered on vinyl from Bandcamp, the LUCKYANDLOVE Store or from select record shops. It's also available digitally everywhere, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp

LUCKYANDLOVE performs next on December 13 at Mohave Gold Bar in Yucca Valley, California for Luna Negra Goth Nights Presents, along with BLAKLIGHT and Dead Energy.

KT TUNSTALL CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF MULTI MILLION SELLING DEBUT ALBUM WITH SPECIAL 20TH ANNIVERSARY RE-ISSUE OF ‘EYE TO THE TELESCOPE’ VIA BMG – OUT NOW

Multi-platinum, BRIT Award-winning and Grammy®-nominated artist KT Tunstall announces the 20th anniversary re-issue of her iconic debut album, Eye To The Telescope, due for release in exclusive collector’s edition vinyl and CD formats, featuring B-sides and exclusive live tracks, on October 31st, full track listing below. Included on the album and to mark this major milestone, fans will be treated to three previously unheard tracks: the title track "Eye To The Telescope," "Cancerian" and "Anything At All."

Originally released at the tail end of 2004, the Eye To The Telescope album catapulted Scottish Singer Songwriter KT Tunstall into the global spotlight, fuelled by an unforgettable live debut on Later… with Jools Holland - a career-defining moment that saw Tunstall seize a last-minute opportunity to fill in for rapper Nas, and perform with nothing but her guitar, loop pedal, and tambourine. Her performance of “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” became instantly iconic, one of the first examples of a ‘viral moment’ and launched a record that features several hit singles, which was given its full push in 2005 on the back of that moment. The album contained several hits, including the massive “Suddenly I See” - a song that became inextricably linked to pop culture history with its full-length feature in the opening scene of The Devil Wears Prada, forever associating both the song and Tunstall with a ubiquitous zeitgeist moment.

Stream Eye To The Telescope 20th Anniversary re-issue here.

From her fearless solo looping to her emotive, genre-spanning songwriting, KT Tunstall has never been one to stand still creatively. Recipient of several awards, most recently the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for outstanding Song Collection, Tunstall has continued to tour the world and release eight critically acclaimed albums.

As many have pointed out, Tunstall is relatively rare example of a small but exclusive line of female singer songwriters, either from or adopted by this country, whose guitar playing, both acoustic and electric, is unapologetically front and centre; think Chrissie Hynde, PJ Harvey, and (Tunstall collaborator) Suzi Quatro.

A highlight of the anniversary re-release is the addition of three new songs, including current single "Cancerian," "Anything At All," as well as the title track "Eye To The Telescope." These songs were started during the original writing sessions and left unfinished until this year. These three new tracks were also released on October 24th as their own stand alone digital EP - The Stargazer EP, which contains the original versions as well as the “Still” acoustic versions. Speaking about the new songs and album title, Tunstall shares:

EYE TO THE TELESCOPE: “The title for my first album was inspired by the times when my physicist Dad, who had a spare set of keys for the Observatory at Andrew’s university, would randomly get us up in the middle of the night and bundle us into the car in our pajamas to go and look through the huge telescope to see the night sky; the Moon, Saturn, Halley’s comet, all of which completely blew my mind as a kid. When I decided to call the album ‘Eye to the Telescope’, I thought I’d have a go at writing a title track, but what I began writing was so delicate, and I felt that a title track of a first album surely had to be a banger, so I abandoned it. My label BMG encouraged me to finish the song for this special re-release, and it’s been such a thrill to complete something over 20 years in the making. Having the album’s original string arranger David Davidson add his gorgeous orchestration on it, as well as Shabaka’s magical wooden flute performance, feels like a cosmic full-circle moment.”

CANCERIAN: "After deciding on my first album title, it got me thinking about horoscopes and how we have always looked to the stars for guidance. "Cancerian" is written from that middle ground of awe and skepticism, and pokes some gentle fun at anyone being sure of how the future will turn out. It was a lot of fun to record an old song for the very first time, and I loved getting the chance to work with the truly excellent Producer and Mixer Robert Adam Stevenson on this track.”

ANYTHING AT ALL: “I wrote this song with Martin Terefe who also produced it. It’s a song about finding it impossible to communicate with someone you love. It is such a thrill to finally get "Anything At All" out into the world. I have adored this song since writing it in the early 2000’s - for almost every album I’ve made I’ve wondered if it could make the track listing. But I’m glad to have waited until now, as it feels like the perfect moment, a gift from my younger self. I got very emotional in the studio, singing backing vocals along to my 20 years younger self. A beautiful experience. When I listen to it now, it could almost be a message from this future me to my younger self during times of struggle.”

The 20th anniversary re-issue of Eye to the Telescope is a heartfelt celebration of KT Tunstall’s enduring artistry, and a time capsule of the record that changed everything. The re-issue of the iconic debut album, Eye To the Telescope, “Stargazer Editions” are available physically today - full format/ tracklisting below. The Stargazer EP, containing three new songs, is also available digitally via BMG.

STREAM / ORDER BLACK SONATA

Meet RAVEN BLACK, a theatrical metal act originally from Los Angeles. Their unique brand of metal, influenced by gothic, classical, and heavy metal music, serves as the soundtrack to vocalist Raven's duality as she shares her story of being a hybrid of both dark and light.

Drawing from a myriad of musical inspirations,

RAVEN BLACK expertly blends elements from their favorite art forms, including movies, ethnic backgrounds, and personal life experiences. Each song is crafted to take fans on an adventure, offering new perspectives and understandings. Their sound ranges from melodic to dark, fun to raging and psychotic—yet every track tells a story.

At the heart of their narrative lies a comic book character: a girl whose innocence was taken at a young age. Overcoming her demons and cursed by her predators, she discovers she is half human, half doll. The doll within her is dark, and as she embraces her inner darkness, she travels with her demons who protect her from those seeking to steal her inner power. She is the key.

CROBOT Fire Off Their New Single “GUN TO MY HEAD” — A Riff-Loaded Shot of Adrenaline

There’s a special kind of madness that happens when a band circles back to its roots — that wild-eyed realization that the thing you were chasing was behind you the whole damn time. CROBOT are standing right there now, staring down the beast they built, grinning through the smoke.

Brandon Yeagley still preaches his gospel from behind the mic like some back-alley shaman with a harmonica holstered for punctuation. Christopher Bishop remains the riff conjurer — tone soaked in engine grease and snake oil, as if the guitar itself were trying to escape the song. And with the arrival of brothers Willie (bass, vocals) and Nico Jansen (drums, percussion), the band’s pulse has started to sound downright dangerous again — thick, swinging, and impossible to fake.

Every band says they’re “getting back to their roots.” Most of them mean they’re out of ideas. CROBOT means it like a blood oath. They’ve stripped it all down to the muscle and marrow, rediscovering that holy intersection where Sabbath’s weight meets Funkadelic’s freak, where Clutch’s swagger shakes hands in the Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magic Chili-Peppers era. This isn’t nostalgia — it’s resurrection. The past few years have sanded off a lot of pretense. What’s left is a band that’s learned how to breathe again, how to groove again, how to trust the dirt under their boots. They’ve been through the industry grinder, the touring trenches, the ego traps, and the inner wars — and somehow came out grinning wider, riffing harder, and sounding more alive than they have

in a decade.

That rebirth roars to life on “Gun to My Head,” the first shot fired from their upcoming album. It’s CROBOT at their most unfiltered — hook-heavy, groove-drenched, and thick with the kind of swagger that makes amps sweat. The song’s chorus swings like a pendulum between surrender and salvation, the sound of four musicians testing their own limits and finding freedom on the other side. It’s not about violence — it’s about the pressure of transformation, the push and pull between love, truth, and the kind of pain that forces

you to evolve.

“Sometimes you’re forced to take a step back and reflect on what really matters,” explains Yeagley. “Every note has a reason, every word a purpose. We’re etching something in-blood into the CROBOT discography - and Gun to My Headfelt like the best taste of what’s to come.”

CROBOT in 2025 isn’t chasing relevance. They’re chasing feel. That unspoken alchemy that happens when four lunatics hit a downbeat and the room levitates for a second. They’ve traded the smoke and mirrors for sweat and instinct,

and it shows.

Call it rebirth, call it regression, call it whatever you want — CROBOT is back where they belong: knee-deep in the groove, grinning like thieves, and daring you to

prove them wrong.

Aftermath Celebrates 40 Years with a Visualizer/Lyric Video for their Song "Eyes of Tomorrow"

Chicago metal legends Aftermath are celebrating 40 years of musical chaos with the release of a brand-new visualizer/lyric video for their classic track “Eyes of Tomorrow.”The song, which originally appeared as the title track of their groundbreaking debut album, gets a powerful new visual treatment in honor of the band’s four-decade legacy.

Formed on October 31, 1985, Aftermath helped define and push the boundaries of the thrash and crossover scenes with their ferocious speed, technical precision, and thought-provoking lyrics. Now, four decades later, they’re commemorating this milestone by revisiting the song that captured the essence of their early vision—looking forward to the future while reflecting on their past.

The new “Eyes of Tomorrow” visualizer/lyric video was created by Dimitris Patelis, the same visionary artist behind the original Eyes of Tomorrow album artwork, bringing the legacy full circle with stunning visuals that connect the band’s past and present.

Frontman Kyriakos “Charlie” Tsiolis shares, "There are so many crazy stories in the annals of music history, from overnight success to horrible breakups and tremendous comebacks.  Our story may rival all of them.  Maybe forming on Halloween was a curse HAHA.  We were fortunate enough to be at the beginning of crossover thrash and then technical progressive thrash. Unfortunately, we released our debut album in 1994, the lowest point of thrash metal. We formed as a 4 piece, then became a 5 piece and went back to a 4 piece.   We had more bass players than Spinal Tap had drummers, we sued Dr. Dre, broke up and reformed 25 years later.  It’s actually a miracle to be finishing up our 4th album after these 40 years of chaos.   Looking back, we wouldn’t change a thing."

Currently the band is in the studio putting the finishing touches on their 4th studio album.

The band states, "We are excited to be back in the studio. We can’t wait for everyone to hear this album. It’s heavy, it’s catchy, and in typical Aftermath fashion it sounds totally different from our previous albums."

The new album is being recorded at Electrowerks Recording, with engineering and mixing by Chuck Macak. Additional details, including the album title, tracklist, and release date, will be announced in the coming months.

Chicago based Aftermath, fronted by Kyriakos "Charlie" Tsiolis, formed in October 1985 when Charlie and his schoolmate Steve Sacco (Guitar) got together. This early incarnation with Adam (Bass) and Ray Schmidt (Drums) released their first demo in 1986 featuring “Sentenced to Death”, “Revenge”, “Shotgun” and “The Aftermath”.

In 1987, they unleashed their second demo entitled Killing the Future featuring the tracks “When Will You Die”, “Going No Place”, “Chaos”, “Meltdown” and “War for Freedom”. The band pursued a mind-blowing speed and technical brand of thrash that soon set them apart from the pack and in the process made them a pioneering crossover thrash band.

Aftermath unleashed their highly awaited masterpiece, No Time to Waste, through Zoid Entertainment/TLG/INgrooves on March 17, 2023. This release stands as the triumphant conclusion to a powerful trilogy, representing a notable departure from the somber tones of its predecessor.

In an exclusive statement, Kyriakos "Charlie" Tsiolis shared, "We take immense pride in this album, a culmination of a trilogy that commenced with our debut. Crafted during a challenging era in contemporary history, 'No Time to Waste' emerges as an anthem of hope. In contrast to our previous dark conceptual endeavor, we've refined this record. The ten tracks within are both weighty and charged, delivering a potent metal experience coupled with a profound message - that collectively, we can overcome, but time is of the essence."
