ACIDOSIS Releases New Single "They Live", Announces Upcoming Album Arrival

Miami-born and Los Angeles-based metal band ACIDOSIS drops "They Live", the first single from their upcoming full-length album Arrival, arriving March 27, 2026.

Originally written by Ben Katzman in high school and now re-recorded with the full force of the band’s current lineup, "They Live" blends punk urgency with crossover thrash precision. Lyrically inspired by the 1988 John Carpenter cult classic, the track takes aim at unchecked corporate power, media manipulation, and the illusion of free will. It’s loud, fast, and defiant.

Arrival is a full-length album nearly 20 years in the making. Originally drafted during Katzman’s teenage years, the songs have been brought back to life by a re-formed ACIDOSIS lineup featuring Katzman on bass and vocals, Diego Edsel, Deo Budnevich, and Jonathan Rusten on guitars, and Harry Schwarz on drums. The album was produced by Katzman and Ryan Haft, mixed by Haft, and mastered by Howie Weinberg. Art is by Juan Montoya (TORCHE) and layout by Perry Shall (GREEN DAY, BLACK KEYS).

With a driving intro, a rollercoaster verse, and a chorus built to shout, "They Live" serves as a powerful reintroduction to a band that never truly left. It’s protest music disguised as a pit starter.

About ACIDOSIS

ACIDOSIS is a heavy metal band originally formed in Miami by Ben Katzman and Diego Edsel during high school. Rooted in thrash, punk, and traditional metal, the band channels the spirit of teenage rebellion through sharpened musicianship and a love of riffs that hit hard and stay stuck in your head. Now based in Los Angeles, ACIDOSIS has evolved into a multigenerational lineup that includes Katzman’s former guitar student Deo Budnevich, who began touring with the band at 14 and now shreds alongside his mentor.

Known for chaotic live shows, politically-charged lyrics, and hook-driven songwriting, ACIDOSIS has shared the stage with acts like D.R.I., NEGATIVE APPROACH, and the JERRY ONLY MISFITS. After years of hiatus and other musical ventures, Katzman resurrected the band with renewed fire, recording the long-overdue debut Arrival, a collection of songs originally written in high school and reimagined with full force.

ACIDOSIS blends the power of early METALLICA and ANTHRAX with the urgency of MUNICIPAL WASTE and the melodic sensibilities of classic IRON MAIDEN. With art by JUAN MONTOYA (TORCHE) and design by PERRY SHALL (GREEN DAY, BLACK KEYS), the project is a full-circle realization of the band's past, present, and future.

This is riff worship without irony. Punk speed without slop. Metal hooks without ego. ACIDOSIS is built to shred, sweat, and scream until the tape runs out.

Blackened Thrash Visionaries MALEFIC Unveil New Single, "It Haunts", And Debut Album 'Impermanence'

Atlanta blackened thrash visionaries MALEFIC have unveiled their first single, "It Haunts", and are set to unleash their debut album, Impermanence, via Terminus Hate City on February 13th, 2026. “It Haunts” introduces the band with their signature intricate harmonies and deft guitar work, dragging the listener deep into the blackened abyss they have carved. Fierce vocals tell a fittingly haunting tale about a mystery of a supernatural nature, and an epic guitar solo commands rapt attention. The song closes with ghostly arpeggios, leaving the listener shrouded in gloom and contemplating the unknowable.

About MALEFIC:
MALEFIC roared onto the Atlanta metal scene in 2007 with ambitions to modernize the black metal genre. With their tight riffs, tasty leads, and relatable lyricism, MALEFIC abandons cliches and defies traditional genre boundaries. Their special blend of black metal, drawing from thrash and death metal influences, appeals to metalheads across subgenres. They count OLD MAN'S CHILD, CARCASS, TESTAMENT, DISSECTION, and OPETH among their most prominent influences, offering a fresh, modern take on metal that is unrivaled in the United States.

After a hiatus in 2009, the band eagerly picked back up where they left off and reformed with a new lineup. MALEFIC initially began work on Impermanence in 2018, taking their time to ensure that every detail accurately reflected their vision for their album. The band's hard work and dedication has culminated in a powerful debut, lovingly crafted by fans of nuanced, boundary-pushing music.

Brutal Surf-Death Metal Band STILLBIRTH Release New Single, "Trapped In Darkness", Alongside Concept Album 'Survival Protocol'

German brutal-surf-death-party metal band STILLBIRTH spin a tale of ferocity and despair with their latest single, "Trapped In Darkness", off of their new concept album, Survival ProtocolSurvival Protocol is out now via rising metal label Reigning Phoenix Music. The album is the follow-up to their critically acclaimed Homo Deus, which was released in 2023.

Though "Trapped In Darkness" opens with an ominous, melodic intro, the music quickly escalates into a blast beat-laden assault. Oscillating between ferocious riffs and groovy, melodic interludes, the song carries the listener along on an epic journey through the cosmos. Guttural harsh vocals drive home a sense of urgency, while a tastefully-placed guitar solo lends beauty to the otherwise bleak and apocalyptic soundscape.

Survival Protocol is a concept album that tells the story of an unknown hero surviving a nuclear apocalypse. The narrative began on the album Annihilation of Mankind and now reaches its conclusion on Survival Protocol. It picks up where Homo Deus left off: the true creator descends from the skies, and the epic battle for planetary dominance begins. Humanity is nearly wiped out, with a handful of survivors managing to escape into space. After a long journey, they discover a habitable planet and begin to colonize it. The events of this journey are told across the tracks of Survival Protocol.

Watch the video for "Trapped In Darkness" Below.

STILLBIRTH is a slamming death metal force from Hagen, Germany, known for their chaotic live shows, unrelenting brutality, and wild blend of Death Metal, Grindcore, Deathcore, and Slam. Since 1999, the band has been obliterating venues and festivals worldwide with an extreme sound fueled by filthy grooves, blast beats, and a tongue-in-cheek attitude that’s equal parts destruction and party.

Founded by guitarist-turned-vocalist Lukas Swiaczny, STILLBIRTH quickly gained a cult following with their 2002 debut Happy Stillbirth Party. After a short hiatus from 2003 to 2005, the band came roaring back, contributing to international split releases and building a reputation across Europe. Their sophomore effort, Plakative Aggressionen (2009), led to their first Eastern European tour and set the tone for a relentless schedule of releases and performances.

By 2011, Endgame Is Near expanded their reach, earning them a spot on their first U.S. tour. STILLBIRTH's 2015 album Global Error marked a high point, with back-to-back tours across the U.S. and Europe. Their signing to Unique Leader Records saw them level up again with Annihilation of Mankind (2018), landing major festival appearances and a tour through Asia.

In 2019, they revisited their roots with Back to the Stoned Age, re-recording fan favorites with updated production and guest vocals. The follow-up, Revive the Throne (2020), doubled down on brutality with dual basses, massive grooves, and razor-sharp production—setting a new bar for heaviness in their discography.

Tragedy struck in 2021 with the passing of bassist and engineer Dominik “Pumpa” Koenig. His legacy lives on in the band’s music and spirit. After signing to Distortion Music Group in 2022, STILLBIRTH dropped Homo Deus in 2023, toured Europe with KATAKLYSM and FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, and crushed stages at Summer Breeze, Party.San, and Tolminator.

Now, STILLBIRTH is poised to unleash their ninth full-length, Survival Protocol, on October 31st, a dystopian concept album promising their most refined yet devastating sound to date.

STILLBIRTH is a party at the edge of the apocalypse. Total madness guaranteed!

STILLBIRTH IS:

  • Lukas Swiaczny – Vocals

  • Martin Grupe – Drums

  • Lukas Kaminski – Bass

  • Leonard Thoma – Guitar

  • Szymon Skiba – Guitar

Out Today From Bastard Cross

This Halloween, blackened metalpunk band BASTARD CRÖSS will unveil the auditory blasphemy that is their forthcoming album, Crossripper via Morbid and Miserable. The debut full-length has been heavily inspired by horror movies, and draws from religious history notably dark and violent documented events.

Crossripper begins with the raucous bloodbath that is "Parasitic". This fast-paced track is laden with crust and filth ridden punk tendencies, demonstrating the sharp-edged side of BASTARD CRÖSS' sound. The song's lyrics carry the tale of a parasite-ridden village who is plagued to kill in the name of what they deem to be their master. Having firmly established the gloomy tone of Crossripper, the album's title track reveals further sonic depth through embracing influences from death metal and thrash across the instrumental parts. Entombed within the rising and falling dynamics, harrowing chants of the names of seven demons are present later in "Crossripper", evoking a sense of the occult.

Drawing musically from early black metal, "Lycan Knights" ventures into dark fantasy realms. Vocal performances from both Blasphemous Axe and Heathen Chevalier appear on this song, emphasizing the impact of the lyrics. "Headless" was originally on the band's debut EP. This rerecorded version of the track, which is themed around a headless horseman, also includes developments in its arrangements as well as an overall updated sound. The band's dark humor transpires in a fusion of punk and metalin "Satanic Pandemonium". Inspired by Ancient Egypt, "Sarcophagus" follows a mummy who returns from the dead with a macabre purpose leaving death and destruction in its wake.

A diversion into the 80s glam metal scene with "Demons at Midnight" provides a comedic interlude as the BASTARD CRÖSS once again let loose with the fun side of their creativity. Thrash aggression soon returns, this time in the form of "Phantom Pestilence".  This is an example of the band's more technical composition style. Thematically the song is about spirits protecting their cemetery from trespassers. Crossripper reaches its end with the brutal and devastating "Behead the Priest".

About BASTARD CRÖSS:
The blasphemous quartet emerged from the crypts in Philadelphia in the grim winter of 2021, releasing their self-titled EP in the same year. This was followed by a Split with BLACK KNIFE in 2022 (released via JEMS), and 2023 saw the arrival of the Beasts of the Night EP and the Faster than the Devil 2 split (released via Wiseblood Records). The upcoming 2025 offering Crossripper (via Morbid and Miserable), sees the band extend even further into the hellish realms of their extreme sound.

BASTARD CRÖSS' musical influences stem from a menagerie of metallic inspirations from thrash (SLAYER, EXODUS) to black metal (DISSECTION) and punk aggression (ANTI-CIMEX). The band experiment with melodic harmonies layered above loud and dirty riffs. The band's distinctive edge derives in part from the two vocalists who combine influences from early black and death metal.

BASTARD CRÖSS explain that they combine their "love for classic horror media with black metal, thrash and punk to create intense, aggressive metalpunk splashed with twin vocal attacks, powerful guitar harmonies and crusty bass tones. Our songs can appeal to horror fans, metalheads and punks alike."

BASTARD CRÖSS is:
Blasphemous Axe (Guitars/Vocals)
Heathen Chevalier (Vocals/Guitars)
Beheader of Priests (Bass)
Infernal Bastard (Drums)

IWAN Ignites with the Release of Two Singles — “WAIT” AND “WARRIORS” — Unleashing Emotion, Power, and Purpose

Rising from the heart of the modern rock revolution, IWAN have arrived with not one, but two thunderous statements of intent. Their brand-new singles — “Wait” and “Warriors” — mark a bold step forward in the IWAN's sonic evolution, blending anthemic power with raw emotion, and proving once again that rock’s heartbeat is alive and roaring.

"Warriors" is a battle cry for the broken yet unyielding. With searing vocals and a relentless groove, the track delivers a message of defiance and survival in a world that often tries to silence individual power.

"Wait" takes a more introspective turn-digging into the emotional wreckage of a toxic breakup and the spiritual warfare that comes with healing from it. Both songs showcase IWAN's signature sound: a visceral mix of heavy guitars, haunting melodies, and lyrical vulnerability.

"IWAN isn't just a new artist-she's a force," says producer Tamas Vajda, who helped bring her vision to life at Savaria Studios in Brooklyn, NY. "She's got the story, the voice, and the fire. You don't hear it-you *feel* it."

With early support and growing attention on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, IWAN is quickly becoming one of the most compelling new voices in modern rock. Fans have responded to her authenticity, visual intensity, and fearless voice with emotional clarity-qualities that set her apart in

a crowded field.

Her journey-from law enforcement to the frontlines of music-is as bold and unapologetic as her sound. And with more releases lined up in the coming months, IWAN is just getting started.

Both tracks showcase IWAN’s dynamic range and fearless songwriting — two sides of the same coin that define who they are: passionate, powerful, and unapologetically real.

Listen to IWAN now on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and all major platforms.

LISTEN TO IWAN

BIO:

A former NYPD officer turned powerhouse vocalist, IWAN isn’t just another name in rock—she’s a movement. Her journey has been one of solitude and resilience, of standing alone but never backing down. That relentless fire fuels her music, turning raw emotion into anthems that cut deep and refuse to be ignored.

Drawing inspiration from icons like Scott Stappand Creed, IWAN blends the grit of classic rock with the intensity of alternative, channeling struggle into strength. Her songs don’t just play; they ignite. With searing riffs, haunting vocals, and lyrics that hit like a gut punch, she crafts a sound that’s both defiant and deeply human.

Her music is a battle cry for the fighters, the outsiders, and those who refuse to break. Somewhere between Joan Jett’s rebellion and Mad Max’s recklessness, IWAN is both force and fury—polished yet raw,

powerful yet unfiltered.

Set for a 2025 launch, she isn’t just stepping onto the scene—she’s commanding it. With a fan base craving realness and a no-BS attitude, she’s here to leave a mark.

“I want to be remembered,” she says. “I want someone to say my music helped

them through.”

IWAN: Remember the name. You won’t forget the music.

Dotsun Moon shares dreamy 'Winter Streets' & 'Piano Trailer 5' videos, showcasing new EP

Upstate New York-based artist Dotsun Moon presents videos for two tracks, 'Winter Streets' and 'Piano Trailer 5', showcasing his new 'Moments In The Sun' EP, a succinct collection inspired by self-reflection and nostalgia for the music that motivated this artist to write music in the first place.

Visually and sonically, 'Winter Streets' captures the spirit of a harsh Buffalo winter, evolving from quiet sounds to a burst of energy that embodies resilience against cabin fever. 'Piano Trailer 5' is an homage to Harold Budd and, recalling his work with Brian Eno, as well as Cocteau Twins.

Based in Buffalo, Dotsun Moon is the creative wellspring of Richard Flierl, whose musical visions flow through his music even now, several incarnations on since the band released their debut album 4 A.M. in 2011. The trajectory remains steadfast on a path of dreamy offerings over the years, with this multi-instrumentalist also gradually assuming vocal duties.

The 'Moments In The Sun' EP is a blissful and grounding collection for troubled times, engineered and mastered by Doug White at Watchmen Studios in Lockport, NY andmixed by Richard Flierl and Doug White. From shoegaze and dreampop to minimalistic ambient, these four tracks pay homage to the pioneers of the music who inspired this artist to create music in the first place.

Earlier, Dotsun Moon shared 'Army of Me' (a song about navigating and overcoming adversity, beginning with a memorable piano riff before bursting into guitar bends akin to Will Sergeant) and the EP's title track 'Moments In The Sun', blending synth and guitar into a soothing balm for weary minds. Emanating a sense of melancholic hope, it echoes the sentiment of navigating an overwhelming world in search of human connection.

This past summer, Dotsun Moon released his third album 'Tiger', which differs markedly from previous works having moved away from female vocals. Evoking both euphoria and a poignant sense of grounding, Dotsun Moon brings you this compelling and unique exploration through this album and videos for the lush singles 'Save Us', 'Never Had a Heart', 'Bring Love' and 'Give Up The Tears'.

Over the years, Dotsun Moon has performed with such notable artists as Mary Ognibene (The Lovely Intangibles) and Buffalo Music Hall of Famer Maria Sebastian, having also played shows with Joywave, Vanishing Kids and The Lost Patrol, not to mention Pride Festival.

The 'Moments In The Sun' EP is out now, available from fine music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, where the 'Tiger' album can also be found.

On The Brink of HEART LIFE MUSIC Book Tour, Writer Holly Gleason Receives 12 NAEJA Noms

It’s been a long year for Holly Gleason, who embarks on the book tour for Kenny Chesney’s HEART LIFE MUSIC Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Country Music Hall of Fame inductee’s alma mater East Tennessee State University. In between completing Chesney’s first book, the Cleveland, Ohio-raised journalist contributed several key stories and analysis to industry trades HITS and POLLSTAR, as well as elegies for her own website and the release of “The Boar’s Nest: Sue Brewer & The Birth of Outlaw Country,” co-written during the pandemic with playwright Rachel Bonds and producer Dub Cornett.

Gleason, who won the 2024 Independent Journalist of the Year Award, is nominated in that category. Her remembrances of Kris Kristofferson and J.D. Souther received nominations for Obituary/In Appreciation in ALL Platforms for Film Personalities and Music Personalities; Kristofferson was also cited for Entertainment Blog by an Individual Not Tied To An Organization.

A New York Times Megan Moroney profile was nominated for Personality Profile, Music Industry (Under 2500), while Gleason’s POLLSTAR Moroney cover story received a nod for Business, Music/Theater/Other Arts. Additionally, her POLLSTAR conversation on the state of Latin music with executive Bruno Del Grenado received recognition in Business Music/Theater/Other Arts.

A sought after commentator on country and roots music, Gleason’s work at HITS received two nods in Commentary Analysis/Trend Music for columns entitled “Country At A Crossroads” and “Grammy Chew: Country.” Her conversation with breakout Black country artist Shaboozey scored two nominations: Diversity in the Music Industry/Performing Arts/Arts Industry and Music/Performing Arts Industry Feature (Under 1000 Words).

“Country and roots music are at several interesting pivots, with a lot more at stake than just who the next superstar will be,” Gleason says of her work. “It is an honor to apply almost four decades of knowledge to contextualizing artists, analyzing trends not just of the music, but our culture – and trying to create an understanding between industry types of artists who aren’t their day-to-day reality, while also offering informed takes on who the rising stars for anyone who loves music.”

Having won four awards, including her second Criticism of Music in three years, at the Los Angeles Press Club’s Southern California Media Awards in June, Gleason’s focus for the last twelve months has been the book chronicling Chesney’s journey from one more face in the crowd – literally and as an emerging artist – to being what Variety calls “Country music’s only true long-term stadium act.”

“I am so grateful to know the work impacted the judges enough to recognize these stories,” Gleason says. “Entertainment journalism isn’t just your opinion or your take, it’s not about pulling clips and deciding. A lot of time and thinking about what has happened goes into the stories, so in a year when I didn’t write as much, it’s comforting to know the work still measured up to a standard defined by so many of the mentors I’ve been lucky to have.”

Rotten Sound Countdown to 'Mass Extinction'

Take cover, metalheads. After outrunning the apocalypse on their last long-player, Rotten Sound are back with another destructive burst of politically-charged grindcore. On their upcoming 11th EP, the underground veterans' worldview is more dire than ever. But Mass Extinction lays waste to all that's plaguing our society. The album's lead single, "Brave New World", pushes for unity over division behind a barrage of blast beats and relentless groove.

"This is one of the most aggressive songs on our new EP", says Rotten Sound. "'Brave New World' is about how misinformation, polarization, conspiracy theories and censorship has lead people into a state of distrust. Our strong sense of community has been replaced by skepticism and fear. The fight for coherent and reliable information is now a constant struggle".

Watch the hellish video for "Brave New World" Below.

Mass Extinction comes out December 12 on Season of Mist.

Few extreme metal bands have enjoyed the shelf life of Rotten Sound. The Finnish exports longevity is practically unheard of for grindcore. The band's core lineup of guitarist Mika Aalto, vocalist Keijo Niinimaa and drummer Sami Latva have been banging heads since 2004. Their high-speed blend of classic D-beat punk and Swedish death metal has only sharpened with each successive stab in the studio. "Brave New World" shatters your speakers like the perfectly-timed throw of a Molotov cocktail.

All eight songs on Mass Extinction were spliced from the same radioactive Petri dish that birthed Apocalypse. But Rotting Sound's whopping 11th EP is no half-life mutation. In just under 10 minutes, the band chew through a festering host of societal ills. Ushered in by an opening address from none other than Jim Jones, "Brave New World" warns against following party lines sown by divisive leaders. "Trust no one", Niinimaa screams over rapid-fire blasts and bludgeoning riffs that send the opposition ducking for cover.

The video for "Brave New World" was created by Shaumbra ArtVisuals.

Rotten Sound are ushering in Mass Extinction with a tour of South America alongside their Season of Mist labelmates DVRK and Brazil's very own Crypta.

Next year, the band will return to the grind with a fresh set of European headline dates in support of their new EP. Following this blistering ride with Repulsive Feast and Teething, Rotten Sound will return to the U.S. for a special set at Maryland Death Fest celbrating their classic albums Murderworks and Exit.

Rotten Sound North American Dates 2026
May 23 - Baltimore, Maryland @ Maryland Death Fest

more dates coming soon...

Rotten Sound know how to get their message across. In just under 10 minutes, Mass Extinction chews through toxic consumerism, labor exploitation and other plagues on society. Lead single “Brave New World” pushes for unity over divisive politicking behind a barrage of blast beats. But while our leaders certainly need to clean up their act, there’s nothing stale about this band’s filthy brand of grindcore. Even the slightly optimistic “Idealist” gives way to a downright hostile groove upon Niinimaa’s screaming command.

“Wake up!” With so much atomic force, it’s impossible not to heed Rotten Sound’s warning on Mass Extinction.

Rogue Announce Papercut Recordings Signing + Drop New Track "Dominion" and Official Music Video

Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, progressive metalcore outfit Rogue have released their new track and music video "Dominion", via their new label home, Papercut Recordings. The dark, industrial-laced single speaks to the strong influence that various types of addiction can have over one's life. When asked about the song and signing, the band shared:

"‘Dominion’ is a song about the grip that different forms of addiction and temptations in life can have over us. While drugs are the most usual form of addiction, we kept the lyrics more open to interpretation so that it can apply to most vices whether that be sex, money, power, food, etc. We adamantly stand united with all of those who suffer from these afflictions, and want them to know they are not alone. We have been there ourselves in different forms, and we urge anyone struggling to reach out and take advantage of different resources whether that is calling the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services National Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP, dialing ‘988’ for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or texting TALK to 741741 to receive resources for what you may be going through.

We are so excited to finally put ‘Dominion’ out into the world. We know our fans have been waiting patiently, and we’re happy to have found a home with Papercut Recordings to finally help some new music see the light of day. ‘Dominion’ is the perfect hybrid song that takes all of our favorite parts of the old Rogue sound, and infuses the past 5 years of new influences that have inspired us. Thanks for being here with us in this new chapter, and we look forward to sharing more next year that delves further into these new sounds."

Stream "Dominion" at the link here, and watch the official music video below.

“dominion” - supreme authority; absolute ownership; possession of ability to wield force or influence

Four years removed from their last record ‘Phantom', Rogue returns with new single "Dominion" with a new message in tow. While loyal listeners of the band have grown to expect the scrutinization of political structures and metaphysical realities from vocalist Jansen Nunezatop pummeling riffs from guitarist Jeffrey Fisher, the progressive metalcore act have shifted into unchartered territory with "Dominion" to reflect on something different: themselves.

Following the introspective and somber tone on ‘Phantom’, the trilogy the band had crafted across their first three records was now complete. But all the time spent looking inward during a global pandemic took its toll, and the band decided to take a break until they felt a new message needed to be shared. Enter ‘Club Gore’ in January 2025, which introduced fans to the first change in direction with talks of hopelessness, apathy, and the human condition that can only be described as yearning to feel something among all the chaos of the world. Now with "Dominion", fans can get a deeper understanding of this darker path with the tackling of temptation and addiction.

Never ones to abandon the sound referred to as “face-shattering” and “hard-hitting” by The Noise, darker industrial elements and ambient soundscapes are further explored this time around, with more influence from film scores on display than ever before. These new sounds and inspirations stemmed from a disdain towards stoicism and complacency- both in the band’s musical and personal lives. With humble beginnings in rural Louisiana cities and eight years having passed since the debut single "Meta", Rogue acknowledges and embraces their roots, but refuses to remain trapped in motion, never doing the same thing twice. "Dominion" is evidence of this, and this display of vulnerability will only be further explored in the next chapter to come.

TYKETTO Sign with Silver Lining Music

Hard rocking quintet TYKETTO to release their 6th studio album Closer To The Sun with new label in March 2026. Hard Rock craftsmen TYKETTO - Danny Vaughn (vox), Harry Scott Elliott (guitar), Ged Rylands (keys), Chris Childs (bass) and Johnny Dee (drums) – are proud to announce that their 6th studio album, Closer To The Sun, will be released by British rock specialist label Silver Lining Music, who are home to the likes of Europe, Uriah Heep, Saxon, Michael Monroe, Soenand Diamond Head to name a few.

With vocalist and founding member Danny Vaughn at the helm, TYKETTO continue to create and craft the type of powerful, anthemic songs which saw the band burst through the hard rock landscape in 1987 and release their debut album, Don’t Come Easy, through Geffen Records in 1989. Since that landmark debut, TYKETTO have released a further four studio albums and toured internationally to a loyal and dedicated fan base.

“I was pleasantly shocked when Danny and the band put pen to paper,” says Silver Lining owner Thomas Jensen. “We’re talking about a really wonderful band in terms of sheer songwriting quality and live delivery, and if I’m honest, one which probably didn’t get the credit it deserves. We’re all glad to be part of a team determined to shift that needle!”

“Many years of hard work ground to a complete halt when Covid first hit us all,” says TYKETTO founding member

Danny Vaughn, “and it was really touch and go as to whether or not TYKETTO would continue. Since our return in 2023, the band has been on a steady upward trajectory, with more fans coming out to see and support us than ever before. This fantastic upward rise has now culminated in our signing a brand-new record deal with Silver Lining Music, who have already shown, not only love and support for us, but also a real understanding for our personal relationship with our fans. The end result of all of this is an album that

TYKETTO fans are going to absolutely fall in love with.

For TYKETTO, these are the best of times!”

2026 promises to see TYKETTO - and Closer To The Sun - be a major part of the hard rock landscape.

SOULFLY | RELEASE MUSIC VIDEO FOR 'NO PAIN = NO POWER' + CHAMA OUT NOW!

Arizona extreme metal trailblazers SOULFLY deliver their tribally fueled thirteenth album CHAMA via Nuclear Blast Records. Once again, a remarkable testament to the Brazilian songwriter’s natural affinity for slamming yet rhythmic riffs that defined his signature sound to listeners around the world. A true return to the spiritual upbringing of SOULFLY that somehow bears a modern-day edge and vitality. Something that could only be attained by a true master of the craft, and Max has stunned us all again.

Heavy and utterly relentless, 'No Pain = No Power' is SOULFLY's unbreakable war cry. This punishing track captures the band in full battle mode—raw and driving—with guest firepower from Gabriel Franco (Unto Others), Ben Cook (No Warning), and the crushing guitar of Dino Cazares (Fear Factory). It's a defiant anthem: strength forged through struggle.  Watch the music video directed by Zyon Cavalera and edited by Cody Longhere, Below.

Max Cavalera states, "To me this is the ultimate guest song and video. Nikolas Motta, Biaggio, Dino, Igor A, Bootsie, Gabe, and Ben made this a collective masterpiece! Zyon took this album and video to the next level. It’s the first time he wrote a script and directed a music video. Mixing UFC and Metal will hopefully inspire a whole new generation of fans! Chama!!"

Zyon Cavalera comments, “It feels like just yesterday watching UFC fights with my family talking about how cool it would be to connect with a fighter. Then we saw Pereira using ‘Itsari’ and were hooked ever since. ‘No Pain = No Power’ goes to show your dreams are not so far away.”

EQUILIBRIUM - Reveal Sylvan Video For 'Borrowed Waters' Featuring Witchy-Pop Artist RONIIT

Pagan-metal wayfarers Equilibrium have revealed their new single, 'Borrowed Waters', featuring enchanting, witchy-pop artist Roniit. The track is the third single released from their new studio album, Equinox, due out on November 28th.

Equilibrium have unveiled an earthly, sylvan video for 'Borrowed Waters' also featuring Roniit, who bares her soul, in step with ancient tides.

René Berthiaume commented:
"This is the first original song of Equilibrium that has not been mostly written by me. I am very picky when it comes to the music, but when Jessy showed me the first demo, I immediately resonated with it. It is a very beautiful and fullfilling process to let other people dive into your project and be part of it. Also the collaboration with Roniit felt very natural. For me authenticity in art is super important and you can hear this also in her voice and see this in her video performance that she created for the song."

Jessica Rösch commented:
"'Borrowed Waters' is a song about surrender.
About learning to move and flow with life and with the natural world we’ve all forgotten about a little bit.
It speaks of cycles, of old memory and of a language older than us. Of what it means to belong to something much larger than yourself, larger than life itself.

The song was born out of a time when everything felt a kinda uncertain.
It’s also the first song I’ve ever written that isn’t for my own music project and the first one I don’t sing myself on, which made the process feel incredibly intimate in a completely new way. Hearing someone else carry my words and melodies was so so deeply moving.
Roniit captured the spirit and soul of 'Borrowed Waters' in the most profound way and I feel endlessly grateful for her.

It’s an incredible honour to have this song on the album.
Working with René on music feels like we speak a language only we understand, even without words.
Our writing styles are very different, yet somehow they fit together perfectly."

Roniit commented:
"I grew up listening to pagan and symphonic metal, and it’s a huge influence on my witchy dark-pop sound. Collaborating with Equilibrium felt like a full circle moment, returning to my metal roots while bringing my own magic into it. Above all, the message of Borrowed Waters really spoke to me. As someone who lives in the forest and practices magic, I see how we are part of nature, not separate from it. The modern world has pulled us further and further away, but this song is a reminder that we still belong to the earth, and that message feels important to share."

About EQUILIBRIUM:

The world is spinning faster these days. Chaos, division and destruction hang heavy in the air. But music has long been humanity’s most vital defense against the turbulent tides of time. A band whose very name is a plea for balance and unity, Equilibrium have been making life-affirming music for nearly 25 years, and as they return after a lengthy hiatus, the German legends are more committed than ever to spreading some positivity and hope to the masses.

As they prepare to release their seventh and greatest album to date, the mighty Equinox, creative mainstays René Berthiaume and Jessica Rösch stand proudly at the forefront of modern metal, ushering in an inspirational new era. With a brand new singer, Fabian Getto, leading the charge, Equinox is this band’s most distinctive and powerful statement to date.

Equinox showcases a band in full control of their sonic and spiritual world, with songs that bring their cherished trademarks and authentic instrumentation together with new technology, electronic elements and giant, stirring melodies that rip from the speakers like proclamations from ancient gods. From the joyous rush of recent singles 'Gnosis' and the melo-death inspired 'Bloodwood', to the effortless, cross-pollinated mastery of 'Earth Tongue', 'Legends' and the show-stopping 'Nexus', Equilibrium have never sounded more potent or passionate.

Equinox was recorded and produced by Equilibrium themselves, with some significant help from an assortment of guest musicians – including ex-Eluveitie violinist Shir-Ran Yinon and members of Dutch Viking metal band Heidevolk - and particularly from studio guru and multi-instrumentalist Danny McCook, who oversaw the album’s mixing process.

Inspired by their experiences with other creatives, Equilibrium have also made the decision to embrace authenticity in every aspect of their art. Equinox is adorned with artwork created by Jessica Rösch with her own hands and without any input from A.I. or any other technology. The end result is stunning and speaks volumes about this band’s desire to keep things real.

In turbulent times, real art keeps us all grounded in the things that really matter. Equinox is a statement of intent from a band reborn. Equilibrium have made great music in the past, but never with this much fire and focus. Brimming with smart ideas, anthemic melodies and crushing, state-of-the-art modern metal with an organic, folk-fuelled twist, it kicks open this new chapter in the band’s story with an exhilarating, heartfelt flourish.

Beast Eagle - Sorceress

Mesmerizing groove riffs and fiercely enchanting vocals await in this magical new offering, Sorceress. Highly compelling with guitar-driven arrangements ensnaring melodies and lyrical hooks, Sorceress will arrive on November 21st, 2025, via Golden Robot Records.

"Sharp Tongue" introduces Sorceress with a gritty edge. The EP's narrative begins here, "telling the story of a witch who’s more afraid of herself than anyone else is. As her powers grow stronger, so does the fear she’s losing control." Balancing light and shade across the high octane instrumentation, the protagonist's fate could fall in either direction.

The alluring "The Dead Follow" continues the story of a witch awakening - finding herself and her power. "The track channels that disorientation into raw, driving energy, blending mysticism with rebellion." BEAST EAGLE explain. "It’s a gritty anthem for anyone who’s ever grown into something stronger and stranger than the world was ready for."

Increasing the voltage, the electrifying "Send Me Down" sees a consortium of riffs entwine and wind alongside alluring vocal harmonies. The thunderous nature reflects our witch's sinister turn: "banished to a dark realm, the witch doesn't hide or run—she rises. [...] This is her kingdom now. It’s loud, it’s wicked, and it’s hers. Bow down or burn."

An eerie anticipation emerges through the dark and discordant "Witch Hunt". The vengeance of a tormented village brings to fruition in a blaze of smoke and fire: "this isn’t just a song—it’s a reckoning set to a riot of sound. No one escapes the flames."

A crushing betrayal concludes BEAST EAGLE's mystical tale. Abrasive riffs and intense rhythms reveal the epic twist of fate in the witch's journey as the village she once protected turn against her. It is not the end however, "fire doesn’t silence her—it awakens something deeper. As the flames rise, so does her final, eternal curse."
