Also joining the celebration was Opry member and Country Music Hall of Fame member, Bill Anderson.

Born in the mile-high city of Denver, FOX LAKE bring an elevated and energetic sound to the heavy music scene. AMORPHIS have released their new single "Bones," a powerful preview of their upcoming album Borderland, set for release on September 26, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music. In contrast to the album’s first single, "Light And Shadow," which showcased a more uplifting tone, "Bones" dives into darker, heavier territory. Emerging from the mythical depths of Finland’s thousand lakes, the track delivers thunderous riffs and Eastern-tinged strings and keys, creating a dense, textured soundscape. Despite its intensity, the song allows space for moments of hope, culminating in a cathartic chorus driven by Tomi Joutsen’s soaring clean vocals. Lyrically, "Bones" reflects the struggle for survival faced by Finland’s ancestors, adding depth and weight to its sonic force.
“As a starting point, I wanted to prove that even a keyboard player can create an AMORPHIS song which is based on a heavy riff, and to everyone's surprise, ‘Bones’ turned out to be the heaviest “Borderland” song,” reveals keyboardist Santeri Kallio.
"Bones" also arrives with the first music video from Borderland, directed by Patric Ullaeus, who has previously helmed several AMORPHIS videos including ‘The Moon’ and ‘Wanderer.’ Known for his cinematic style, Ullaeus has also worked with other major names in the metal scene such as IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY, PRIMAL FEAR, and many more.

Pennsylvania-based black metal collective PROFANE ELEGY has released the second single, "Haunted," from their forthcoming sophomore album Herezjarcha, due out January 30th, 2026. With this track, the band begins unveiling the eight-part sonic descent that defines their most ambitious and emotionally charged work to date.
Lyrically, "Haunted" is a meditation on existential dread, a haunting reflection on the curse of clarity. Through blistering guitars, sweeping orchestration, and anguished vocals, PROFANE ELEGY explores the loss of innocence that comes with realizing the inevitability of death. The track asserts that ignorance truly is bliss, and once the veil of illusion is lifted, there is no returning to peace.
The single showcases the evolving sound of PROFANE ELEGY: genre-defying, expansive, and emotionally visceral. Drawing from a foundation of black metal, the band integrates orchestral flourishes, progressive shifts, and subtle clean vocal passages to amplify the thematic weight of the song. "Haunted" stands as both a sonic assault and a philosophical lament.
Produced, mixed, and mastered by Kevin Antreassian (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN) at Backroom Studios, Herezjarcha is shaping up to be a defining statement from a band unafraid to confront the sacred and the profane alike. PROFANE ELEGY is a black metal band from Bangor, Pennsylvania, formed in late 2021 by guitarist J Gulick and vocalist Mikael L. Originally conceived as a two-man studio project, the band quickly evolved into a full lineup with the addition of bassist David G and drummer Sean M in 2023. What sets PROFANE ELEGY apart is their refusal to remain confined within genre boundaries—while rooted firmly in black metal, their sound incorporates elements of death, doom, and progressive metal, often enhanced by orchestral arrangements and clean vocals.

Belfast metal pioneers Sweet Savage announce the release of their new album BANG on September 12. To mark the occasion, they unleash the sharp title track today, accompanied by a gritty music video that captures the band’' intense live energy.

Formed in Belfast in 1979 by bassist and vocalist Ray Haller and future Dio/Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell, Sweet Savage were part of the first wave of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal.
But unlike their peers, Sweet Savage never released a full album during their first run. Instead, they became underground legends, gaining wide recognition after Metallica covered their track "Killing Time" and released it as the B-side of their multi-platinum single "The Unforgiven." The friendship between the two legendary bands continues to this day.

Mixed by Converge’s Kurt Ballou, the album is a head-on collision of manic pedalboard wizardry, savage drums, and creepy alien vocals. Following that, 'Dreams of Puke' pushed the band’s sonic depravity even further—melding grind, noise rock, and mathcore into a dizzying, high-speed barrage. The album features even more left-field experimentation, unhinged tempo shifts, and grotesque lyrical absurdity. 'I Am Cold' is the final offering from the band's latest 'Asylum Harbour' album, following psychedelic audio-visual trips for the singles 'By My Side', 'Gimme Some Pain', 'I Like to Feel Good' and 'Mirror'. Today, Tombstones In Their Eyes is made up of long-time members John Treanor(vocals & guitar), Stephen Striegel (drums), Courtney Davies (vocals), Phil Cobb(guitar) and Paul Boutin (guitar), along with new band members Nic Nifoussi (bass) and Clea Cullen (vocals).
What started as a demo-swapping exercise between Treanor in LA and James Cooper in NYC a decade ago evolved into a powerhouse band crafting expansive psychedelic soundscapes. For Treanor, these sonic explorations are not only an immersive subliminal journey, but a way to grapple with anxiety and depression by channeling it into art that boldly gazes outward at the universe while diving deep into the soul. Debut single "Wave of Wisdom" is a perfect introduction to the band, encapsulating their fierce yet gothic anthemic sound — where healing and rage collide in perfect harmony. A defiantly discordant clash of alt-folk slide guitar, and Mormecha's pummeling industrial percussion, "Wave of Wisdom" provides a great bedrock for Montgomery's incandescent delivery of uncertainty.
Of the new single, Montgomery comments, "'Wave of Wisdom' is about turning pain into power — tracing the roots of trauma through our own history and the wider collective to find truth, strength, and healing. It's a raw reclamation of voice, born from the fire. It was written during a stark Canadian winter on Wolfe Island, looking out over the frozen expanse of Lake Ontario, a setting that mirrored the stillness, intensity, and clarity of the song's creation. Self-produced by PREYRS drummer Michael Mormecha at Tree Song Studios, Ireland and mixed by Alex Loring."
Busking on the streets of Belfast from the age of 15, Montgomery met multi-instrumentalist Mormecha a few years later and they've been working together ever since. Both songwriters in their own right, Michael fronted renowned Irish post-hardcore outfit Mojo Fury and worked as a producer for artists including The Bonnevilles, Mojo Fury, and Joshua Burnside. They're joined as PREYRS by longtime guitarist Nolan Donelly and new bass player Ciarán McGreevy.
Known for electrifying live performances, PREYRS will make their UK festival debut at Bloodstock Open Air this August, as well as appearing at Stendhal Festival in Ireland. Caleb Shomo first turned the pain of his struggle with mental health and self-image into music in 2013. Beartooth began as a living document, a diary, a journal of repressed rage and depression. GLENN HUGHES, a native of Cannock, England, absorbed all kinds of influences, including early British hard rock, The Beatles, and, most importantly, American soul and R&B. The sleek Motown sound from Detroit and the gritty Stax/Volt sound from Memphis also left their mark on him.
GLENN HUGHES first found success in the early '70s with the band Trapeze, before joining Deep Purple in 1973 during a pivotal lineup change that introduced him and David Coverdaleto the group. Despite initial skepticism, the revamped band silenced critics with the release of‘Burn’ (1974), a powerful album that revitalized Purple’s sound and remains a classic.
During this era, the band headlined the iconic California Jam in front of over 300,000 fans, toured the world aboard their private jet, The Starship, and released two more studio albums, ‘Stormbringer’ and ‘Come Taste The Band,’ before disbanding in 1976.
GLENN's first solo album, ‘Play Me Out,’ was released in 1977. He joined former Pat Traversguitarist Pat Thrall to form Hughes/Thrall, which released an acclaimed self-titled album in 1982. Throughout the '80s and '90s, GLENN HUGHES made countless guest appearances (both credited and un-credited) as a vocalist, bass guitarist or songwriter on other artists' albums. The endless list includes, among others, Gary Moore, John Norum, and Tony Iommiof Black Sabbath.
Since 1992, GLENN has started a prolific solo career with a dozen studio albums where he explored all the different sides of his songwriting and influences: from hard rock to funk and more contemporary sounds. He collaborated – among others – with such musicians as Chad Smith, Dave Navarro, John Frusciante, and many others.
HUGHES also founded, or took part in, some amazing musical alliances such as California Breed (with Jason Bonham and Andrew Watt), Black Country Communion (with Joe Bonamassa) and The Dead Daisies.
GLENN recently collaborated with Robbie Williams on his new single “Rocket,” which was released on May 22nd, 2025. The track also features a collaboration from Tony Iommi and will be the first time GLENN has been featured on a record with Tony since 2005, when they released “Fused” together.

In the wake of the catastrophic flooding that has impacted so many lives across Texas’ Hill Country, it is impossible to watch the news without feeling the heartbreak of this disaster. Entire communities have been devastated, and families are mourning the loss of their children and loved ones.
In response, Texan George Strait alongside businessman and Vaqueros del Mar partner of 15-years, Tom Cusick, are organizing a special benefit dinner and concert in Boerne, Texas, “Strait To The Heart,” at Estancia at Thunder Valley indoor arena.
“The destruction and loss in our community from the recent flood is hard to wrap your head around,” shares Strait. “Our hearts and prayers are with you all. The goal with this event is to raise meaningful, immediate support that can be put directly into the hands of flood victims without delay, while also honoring the first responders that work tirelessly to save lives.
