Emerging from the shadows of loss and into the full light of artistic rebirth, DREAMS OF GRAY announces the release of their blistering new single, “Beyond the Sky”, from the upcoming EP A Beginning, arriving September 5, 2025. The track is an unapologetic riff-driven anthem that asks deep spiritual questions while channeling the fury and force of melodic extreme metal at its most raw and relentless.
“Beyond the Sky” is the most direct and aggressive track on A Beginning. It is a headbanger’s delight rooted in death metal and thrash, yet laced with DREAMS OF GRAY’s signature melodic sensibility. It is fast, it is loud, and it is destined to open live sets. Beneath the savage riffs and relentless pace lies a meditation on the eternal: a soul adrift, seeking peace in the life beyond.
Based in Chicago, DREAMS OF GRAY began as Rivera’s solo project after a long hiatus from music. Formerly of ABOLISHER, a band praised in Metal Maniacs and Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles, Rivera stepped away to pursue a career in medicine. Now a Family Medicine physician, he brings the same intensity to music that he brings to his patients. A Beginning marks a powerful return.
Joining Rivera on A Beginning are elite collaborators: Maria Kosma (bass), Nicole Trinchero (drums on the title track), and Scott Elliot, who provided drum programming for “Beyond the Sky” and “Across the Endless Sea”, while also handling engineering, mixing, and mastering for both songs. Josh Middleton contributed engineering and mastering on the opening track “A Beginning”.
About DREAMS OF GRAY:
DREAMS OF GRAY is the melodic extreme metal project of Chicago-based musician and physician Luis Rivera. Blending elements of melodic death, doom, thrash, and traditional heavy metal, the music is as emotionally resonant as it is sonically intense. Founded in 2022, DREAMS OF GRAY quickly made an impact with the independently released debut EP The World After in 2023, earning critical acclaim across the international metal press.
Known for its compelling fusion of melody and heaviness, DREAMS OF GRAY stands out for intelligent songwriting, deeply human lyricism, and an uncompromising creative vision. Rivera’s music confronts themes of loss, grief, resilience, and existential reflection—delivered through dynamic vocals and powerful, layered instrumentation.
Now joined by a cast of talented collaborators, DREAMS OF GRAY continues to evolve with the upcoming EP A Beginning (2025), a bold and immersive follow-up that further refines the project’s genre-defying sound. Whether you’re drawn to the introspection of OPETH, the melodic fire of IN FLAMES, or the weight of PARADISE LOST, DREAMS OF GRAY offers something uniquely honest and unforgettable in today’s extreme metal landscape.

At long last, Duncan Lloyd has released his sixth album 'Unwound'. Previously with Warp Records, this is his first album of new material via Scotland's Reveal Records, who previously reissues of Lloyd’s early solo albums, including the colossal 31-track selected works collection 'Green Grows Devotion' (2022) and 'Fun City' (a trilogy of EPs recorded in 2024).
Written during a difficult personal period, this 12-track record came into being as a form of sonic therapy - a means of coping and catharsis, forging a sound with greater depth and ambition than past releases. Lloyd earlier shared the singles 'Laugh So Loud'and 'Rituals', blending a modern sound with a deeply personal message about habits and healing, voiced through a circular, radio-like musical journey.
A critically acclaimed solo artist, Lloyd is the primary musician behind internationally renowned art-rockers Maximo Park and also half of Nano Kino (with Sarah Suri). He is a Mercury Music Prize nominee, has won an NME award, had A-listed singles at BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music (including lyric of the year), and has seen success with worldwide platinum and gold selling records. His songs have featured on eight hit albums with Maximo Park, consistently charting in the Top 10 U.K.
With cover artwork derived from Lloyd’s own paintings, this record weaves a unique musical maze of free and varied personal expression, deep and transient, spare, intense and urgent with a balance of grit, beauty and melody. Things got moving when Lloyd set to work with Julie McLarnon (The Vaselines, Lankum, King Creosote, Brigid Mae Power) at Analogue Catalogue Studios in Ireland. Gaining impetus from his trip across the Irish sea, Lloyd returned to Newcastle to complete the rest of the album, each song carefully crafted with more anarchical arrangements than previous outings.
“I needed a break from all things online. Stepping away from it and being closer to nature reignites the imagination, it’s kind of obvious but easy to forget how important it is. It’s an album about experience, throughout you get the sense that dynamics, speed and space were all careful considerations. I am sort of looking under the soil trying to shape the sounds I imagine and if possible create something relatable that has a heart. I didn’t want it to be one produced sound, I wanted it to feel like different rooms, many spaces," says Duncan Lloyd.
"I partly had the book "The Poetics of Space" by Gaston Bachelard in mind, every song is it’s own room with it’s own signature. This is probably my heaviest album, in sound and mood. There are songs that lean towards post-punk and with hypnotic rhythms that are darker in tone. I wanted it to feel like the listener can climb inside the sound rather than be on the outside looking in. I don’t want them to be in the cinema I want them to be in the film or in the room, so it’s almost spooky."
The album features a host of Lloyd’s musician friends, including Maximo Park keyboardist Jemma Freese and drummer Tom English, Andrew Mills (Purploid Zing) and Joe Boyer (Cloud Nothings, Autopolitan, Nicole Yun).
'Unwound' is imbued with a darker mood than Lloyd’s previous works, but with a continuing sense of melancholy at its core. Restrained yet intimate lyrics are housed in inventively evolving structures. The album draws to a close with 'A World Away Now', a song of lost opportunity. Sometimes simply making a connection is enough.
"Sometimes on a song the bass or percussion talks louder than a voice, so I mixed it like that. Sometimes nothing else contends if the emotion isn’t clear. When you hear musicians playing together, you are invited into something far more personal or engaging. You can’t always tell the detail, yet you can feel the dynamics -- you can sense it is living," says Duncan Lloyd.
"I may let guitars get loud and careen around if that’s where it wants to go. It can then go the other way and be minimal, economical. Although it is a very personal album, it’s also addressed to the stranger and, if the listener can relate and even laugh about what life throws at us, then a connection lives”.
Writing and recording under his own name for the last decade, Lloyd has enjoyed many collaborations, including with Paul Epworth (Bloc Party, Glass Animals, Rihanna), Gil Norton (The Pixies, Echo & The Bunnymen), Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Ben Allen (Gnarls Barclay, Deerhunter), Rudimental, Dave Okumu, Batidaand legendary Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen.
'Unwound' is out now, available digitally via Bandcamp and digital music platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify. It is also released on CD, the first 200 ordered coming with a bonus live four-track recording in 'The Polestar Sessions' EP.

Minneapolis progressive metal powerhouse After The Burial have returned with their first new single in over two years, "Hum From The Hollow". The punishing new track finds the band excavating dark emotional territory and serves as a brutal reminder of why After The Burial remain an essential voice in modern heavy music. The release is accompanied by an official visualizer and arrives ahead of their upcoming N. American run with We Came As Romans on their "Bad Luck" headline tour. Watch the visualizer below and stream the song HERE.
"Hum From The Hollow" showcases the band's signature blend of mathematically precise 8-string guitar work and crushing rhythmic foundations. Lyrically, it navigates themes of internal decay and psychological torment. Sonically, the single balances the band's insane technical prowess with a visceral, almost suffocating sense of fury that perfectly complements the track's exploration of existential dread. Speaking on the new track, founding guitarist Trent Hafdahl explains
"This song is one of many from the new album that have the same theme: pissed off. Sometimes you have to strip it all down and give the fans something to let their anger out to, so that's what we did here."
With Anthony Notarmaso's devastating vocal performance perfectly mirroring the song's exploration of psychological torment, Trent Hafdahl's innovative, jagged guitar work anchoring their sound and the unflinching rhythm section of Adrian Oropeza(bass) and Dan Carle (drums) providing a brutally heavy, unshakeable foundation, "Hum From The Hollow" confirms that After The Burial continue to be a band that understands the therapeutic power of pure, unrelenting heaviness who are unafraid to confront the uncomfortable realities of human experience through their brutal sonic lens.
The new single arrives as After The Burial prepare to join We Came As Romans on the highly anticipated N. American leg of their "Bad Luck" World Tour. Tickets are available now HERE. Full routing below.

About After The Burial
Minneapolis progressive metal heavyweights, After The Burial have spent two decades forging the blueprint for modern heavy music. Since forming in 2004, the quartet—Anthony Notarmaso (vocals), Trent Hafdahl (lead guitar), Adrian Oropeza(bass), and Dan Carle (drums)—have emerged as architects of the djent movement while consistently pushing the boundaries of what heavy music can be. Their signature blend of mathematically precise 8-string guitar work, crushing grooves, and Notarmaso's devastating vocal range has influenced an entire generation of metalcore and progressive metal acts.
With six full-length albums under their belt, including career-defining releases like Rareform (2009), Dig Deep (2016), and Evergreen (2019), After The Burial have proven their staying power through both triumph and tragedy. Their 2023 return with the emotionally charged double single "Embrace the Infinity" marked their first new music in four years, showcasing a band that refuses to compromise their artistic vision.
Currently signed to Sumerian Records, After The Burial have shared stages with everyone from Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive to The Black Dahlia Murder and Spiritbox. Now, with "Hum The Hollow" setting the tone for both their upcoming US tour with We Came As Romans and the dawning of a new chapter, After The Burial continue to deliver the crushing live performances and innovative songwriting that have made them essential figures in the modern metal landscape.
Esteemed rock vocalist and guitarist MIKE TRAMP is pleased to announce the release of his new album, 'Songs of White Lion — Vol. III,' due out on September 19th via Frontiers Music Srl. To celebrate the announcement, the lead single "Cherokee" is out now, accompanied by a music video, available below.
Mike comments on the track:
"Revisiting 'Cherokee,' one of the first songs Vito Bratta and I wrote in 1983, was so amazing, I always loved that song, and the new version only confirms what a great song it still is."
Watch the Music Video for "Cherokee" Below.
MIKE TRAMP, the unmistakable voice and principal songwriter of White Lion, concludes his heartfelt trilogy with 'Songs of White Lion — Vol. III,' a powerful and deeply personal tribute to one of the most iconic bands of the 1980s melodic hard rock scene.
Tramp speaks on how this series of recordings came together:
"For me, the point of re-recording the old classic White Lion songs was all about letting the audience know HOW the band would sound if they come to see us live. Bringing the sound up today and away from a world no more. When I started with 'Vol. I' I must admit, I never thought I’d do 'Vol. II' and now 'Vol. III.' But having done it all now, makes all the more sense to me. If I have to be active playing White Lion in 2025 and onward, there's got to be a natural progression in every way. That is exactly what this Trilogy is all about.
In this final installment, TRAMP revisits and reimagines ten more essential songs from the White Lion catalog, bringing them back to life with the passion, perspective, and authenticity that only decades of experience can deliver.
Once again backed by his trusted bandmates — Marcus Nand (guitar), Claus Langeskov (bass), and Morten Hellborn(drums) — TRAMP offers fresh but respectful renditions of these classic tracks, capturing their spirit while elevating them with a more refined, seasoned sound.
From the raw defiance of "Fight To Survive," to the cinematic power of "Warsong," and the infectious rhythm of "Radar Love," this album is both a celebration and a reawakening.
Standing as more than a simple re-recording project, 'Songs of White Lion — Vol. III' is the emotional conclusion of a trilogy — a journey through time, memory, and music that connects the past to the present with integrity and fire.
This is not just a tribute, it’s MIKE TRAMP reclaiming and honoring his legacy.

Blending singer-songwriter sensibilities with modern progressive rock elements, Our Oceans' music resonates with listeners who seek a soul-stirring experience, offering both catharsis and hope.
The power trio, featuring singer and guitarist Tymon Kruidenier and his former Exivious bandmates, bassist Robin Zielhorst and drummer Yuma van Eekelen, announce their new studio album Right Here, Right Now set for release on October 24 via Long Branch Records.
On Right Here, Right Now, Our Oceans unveil a brighter, more exhilarating sonic landscape while maintaining the evocative emotional depth that has become their hallmark. Inspired by the "bright quality of the now," the Netherlands-based band crafts a richly layered musical journey filled with lush harmonies and uplifting atmospheres. The album captures the vibrancy of the present moment, blending intricate musicianship with an infectious sense of optimism.
In conjunction with today's album announcement, Our Oceans have released the video for new single "Golden Rain."
Watch the "Golden Rain" video below.
Pre-order Right Here, Right Now here.
"After finishing While Time Disappears, I knew immediately that I wanted to create something lighter and more uplifting," comments band leader Tymon Kruidenier. "'Golden Rain' was the first song I wrote with that intention, and it perfectly captured the vibe I was aiming for. It was also the song we jammed out the most as a band, not only to refine the arrangement, but also to develop a production template for the rest of the album. With that in mind, it felt only natural for it to be the album's opening track."
"I'm incredibly proud of that album, but it's a bit of a bitter pill to swallow," says Kruidenier. "This time around, I also felt the need to return to the creative philosophy behind the first Our Oceans album: Simply letting things flow. Instead of steering the process or clinging to preconceived ideas of what the music should be, I wanted to trust in an open and unrestricted creative approach, allowing the songs to take shape naturally. It all started with the chorus for what became the album’s first track, 'Golden Rain.' From there, everything came together in what felt like one effortless flow state that lasted for a month or two. I think this resulted in a collection of songs that feel balanced and cohesive, yet diverse and playful."

Named by the Recording Academy as a “2025 Artist to Watch,” Lanie Gardner has officially announced her highly anticipated sophomore album Faded Polaroids, set for release on September 5 via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. Alongside the announcement, the North Carolina native has released the album’s powerful lead song, “High Divin,’” featuring legendary Fleetwood Mac co-founder Mick Fleetwood on the drums. Listen below.
A full-circle moment for the 25-year-old artist — whose breakout came from a viral cover of “Dreams” (now at over 100M views) — “High Divin’” is an atmospheric anthem with a heart of self-reflection. Wrapped in shimmering guitars and soaring vocals, it captures the emotional leap of the journey of self-sabotage, while honoring the path that led her there.
“It’s one of the most important songs on the album for me,” Gardner shares. “I was going through a pretty rough patch and needed to give myself a little tough love.”
Produced by Oscar Charles, Jonathan Singleton, Chris Ganoudis and Don Miggs, Faded Polaroids expands on the raw honesty of Gardner’s 2024 debut A Songwriter’s Diary, offering a sonic scrapbook of self-discovery, family roots, romantic twists, and personal healing. Across 18 tracks, Gardner blends country storytelling with indie-rock grit, small-town pop, and boundary-free emotion — a genre-bending vision uniquely.
“I created the idea of Faded Polaroids using actual polaroids. Some brand new, others nicotine-stained, withered, torn and worn from being passed down through the years,” says Gardner. “It felt like zooming out on my whole life and finally seeing the bigger picture. These snapshots — these songs — are the most beautiful parts of me. They tell the story of where I come from, who I come from, what I’ve learned and who I’m becoming. I hope these songs encourage people to take the time to make their own version of that too. I think it’s important that we all do.”
Born and raised in the tiny Appalachian mountain town of Burnsville, NC, Gardner grew up in a family of natural musicians, learning to sing from her mother and guitar from her father. A loner-turned-artist with a gift for turning diary entries into cathartic anthems, she eventually left home for Nashville, chasing the Grand Ole Opry dream of her late grandfather — a dream that comes full circle with her Opry debut on August 6. Get tickets here.
Following her recent Polaroids EP and breakout debut album — which earned her a “2025 Artist to Watch” nod from both the Recording Academy/GRAMMY and Amazon Music — Faded Polaroids finds Gardner stepping fully into her sound. From the soul-cleansing “Takin’ The Slow Ride” and smoldering “Concrete Cowboy,” to the rootsy, nostalgic title track and breezy “Love You Like Appalachia,” the album captures a rising star in her magic hour — honest, unfiltered, and unforgettable.
Gardner will bring Faded Polaroids to life on the road this summer and fall, with a run of headlining dates and festival appearances, including support on select shows for Gavin Adcock. Visit laniegardner.com for ticket information.

Country music giants Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton deliver their first true duet collaboration with “A Song To Sing,” reflecting the truth of giving one’s soul to the music and heart to the one at home. Written together with Jesse Frasure and Jenee Fleenor, the song available everywhere now is set to impact Country radio on Monday, July 14. Listen below.
The sound is indelible, rising from an era that’s shaped the last five decades of Country music. When Lambert and Stapleton emerge from the low-key shuffle, smoky Wurlitzer clouds and silken guitars, it’s obvious that “A Song To Sing” is destined to join the list of most-beloved classic Country duets. Trading lines before soaring together on the chorus, the longtime friends deliver a poignant message about finding peace and purpose in love – and in the music made along the way:
Lambert and Stapleton boast a combined 14 GRAMMY, 33 Country Music Association and 59 Academy of Country Music awards and have each influenced generations with their singular artistries and distinctive creative points of view. Produced by GRAMMY-winning Dave Cobb, “A Song To Sing” allows Lambert – who passed her ACM Entertainer of the Year title to Stapleton in 2023 – to witness the singular reality they share as they harken back to an era of music epitomized by Ronnie Milsap, Waylon Jennings and especially the classic Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers duets.
Of the respected visionaries, Pollstar writes, “at a time when Country is so many things, Lambert and Stapleton seem both a true north and a hinge for the future…Musically robust, they want to make actual Country music with their roots firmly planted, but with the ability to create on their own terms. It’s not fighting Music Row as much as fighting for greatness.”

ABOUT ATTACK ATTACK!
If you went to Warped Tour in the mid 2000’s, shopped at Hot Topic, or were active on Myspace; then you have heard the name “Attack Attack!” While the band’s early career was relatively short-lived, their reputation has done nothing but grow since the band went on indefinite hiatus in 2013. Known for incorporating dance/electronica music with metal, the band consistently bent the rules of songwriting. They took the sounds they liked and crafted seemingly incompatible genres into anthems for local Ohio scene kids, and later, audiences across the globe. After years of silence, Attack Attack!exploded back onto the scene in 2020. They’re here to remind you that rules are made to be broken, adversity is meant to be overcome, and that legends never die.
After more than 15 years, Denver metalcore pioneers Drop Dead, Gorgeous have officially returned with a brand new single, “Six Feet,” along with the announcement of the return of The Artery Foundation (label)—the original driving force behind the genre. Accompanied by a gripping music video that premiered exclusively on Revolver Magazine, the track marks a powerful new chapter for the band, who reunite with three original members.
“It’s been over 15 years, and ‘Six Feet’ felt like the right way to come back — intense, honest, and unapologetic. We’re not trying to recreate the past, just push things forward in a way that still feels true to who we are," shares the band.
The return of Drop Dead, Gorgeous is not only a monumental moment for fans, but also for the team behind The Artery Foundation, which helped launch the band’s early career.
“It’s surreal to have Drop Dead, Gorgeous back with us after 20 years,” says Eric Rushing, President of The Artery Foundation. “They were one of Artery’s first big breakthroughs and helped define who we were early on. This reunion isn’t just nostalgic—it’s a full-circle moment that reminds us where we came from and helps usher in the new wave of Artery.”

They were teenagers from Denver with chaotic angst, huge hooks, breakdowns, and something to say. At the height of the post-hardcore and so-called “emo” explosion of the mid-2000s (which saw My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and Avenged Sevenfold reach massive heights), Drop Dead, Gorgeous carved out new synth-soaked pathways with unmistakable vocals and unhinged emotion.
Drop Dead, Gorgeous returns in 2025 with their first new music in over a decade. Produced by Elliot Polokoff and mastered by longtime collaborator Kris Crummett (Dance Gavin Dance, Sleeping With Sirens, Get Scared), “Six Feet” recaptures their signature tension—hooky, hostile, and cinematic. The band isn’t trying to relive their past, but they aren’t running from it, either. Drop Dead, Gorgeous may have gone quiet for a time, but their impact never faded. Now, with fresh music and sharpened vision, they’re writing a new chapter—not as nostalgia, but as an experienced and focused continuation of what they started.
Their 2006 full-length debut, In Vogue, a touchstone release for Rise Records, inspired many like-minded kids to form bands with its theatricality and authentic confessional attitude. Singer Daniel “Stills” Stillman gave a literal voice to fans who connected to the band’s combination of bombast and charisma. “We were just these young kids who were thrown into our dream,” remembers bassist Jake Hansen, who notes that drummer Danny Cooper was only 15 years old. “I was the oldest, at just 18.”
“We didn’t know anything about song structure or how a band was supposed to function back then,” says Stills. “We just wrote what felt right, and that honesty ended up being what connected.”
In Vogue didn’t just tap into the moment; it helped define it. “I first heard Drop Dead, Gorgeous on a Rise Records sampler,” Counterparts vocalist Brendan Murphy told VICE in a loving ten-year retrospective. “Seems shortly after that, everyone’s MySpace song was ‘Dressed for Friend Requests.’ Kids ate it up because of the seemingly perfect balance between screaming and catchy choruses.”
Ex-Geffen Records CEO Jordan Schur brought them to Suretone Records, a joint venture with Interscope that became home to Weezer, New Found Glory, The Cure, From First To Last, and the late Chris Cornell. The result was the dark concept album Worse Than a Fairy Tale (2007), produced by nü-metal pioneer Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot, At The Drive-In). The band played the Vans Warped Tour the same year, and with The Used and Rise Against on Taste of Chaos in Australia and New Zealand.
Drop Dead, Gorgeous collaborated with producer Matt Goldman (Underoath, Anberlin, Meg & Dia) on The Hot N’ Heavy (2009). With additional production from The Chariot’s Josh Scogin and mixing by Saison guitarist Beau Burchell, The Hot N’ Heavy achieved the band’s biggest chart success while merging the sound of their debut album with more polished aggression and metalcore intensity.
But the whirlwind took its toll. By 2011, the band had quietly disappeared.
Stills and Cooper returned to Rise Records with Bleach Blonde, a band combining pop-rock and alternative elements. As synth duo 888, the pair saw strong streaming success with the title track of their Island Records EP, Critical Mistakes (2016). Sadly, guitarist Kyle Browning passed away in 2021.
“I didn’t think I’d ever want to play in a heavy band again,” Stills says. “But after a while, we had that itch we wanted to scratch. It surprised me how much I missed it.” The core trio of Stills, Cooper, and Hansen reconvened with a string of well-received surprise reunion shows in late 2024 and 2025.
The sonic shadow of Drop Dead, Gorgeous looms large across a slew of successful bands who continued in their wake. With the band fully resurrected, their comeback is about legacy and unfinished business, viewed through the lens of experience and pure intentions. “We just want to do something honest,” Stills reaffirms. “We don’t want to make music that doesn’t feel real to us.”

The Denver-based genre fusing metal quartet CRONOS COMPULSION is preparing to unveil their forthcoming album Lawgiver. Known for their crushing riffs, frenzied rhythms, and a genre-defying blend of death-doom, chaotic metal, and noise-laced breakdowns, CRONOS COMPULSION is ready with a new line-up to enter their next chapter. The album, set for release on July 11th on digital, CD and LP via Avantgarde Music death metal division Unorthodox Emanations, is a scathing critique of late-stage capitalism as well as humanity’s basest instincts.
Lawgiver, CRONOS COMPULSION's debut album, has been several years in the making and features a revised track from 2021’s Cursed and Decaying EP, “Neolithic Meditations,” and eight other tracks of all-new material. "We’ve been playing these songs live for quite some time now so we’ve managed to distill this down into what we think is a solid first full-length", says vocalist and guitarist Wil Wilson.
CRONOS COMPULSION hold nothing back in this terrorizing onslaught. A deafening wall of sound awaits in the album's opener "Obligate Condition". Demonic gutturals spearhead a fury of obliterating distortion fueled instruments in a thrilling onslaught of the dark and heavy. CRONOS COMPULSION ensure that no moment of peace can be found amidst the shadowy voyage undertaken across Lawgiver's track list. "Gyre of Decaying Filth" brings an injection of groove and intrigue while "Ancestral Remains" showcases technical riffs.
"Neolithic Meditations" presents a discordant fury manifesting through rhythmic progressions in an unceasing attack. CRONOS COMPULSION's genre-fusion sound is revealed in its fully untamed form in the title track, "Lawgiver". Lashings of distorted fuzz, rhythmic elements, gutturals and dissonant textural layers result in a ferociously intense sound. Lawgiver draws to a close with the restless "Incursion of Deific Chaos".
CRONOS COMPULSION is:
Wil Wilson - vocals, guitar, noise
Raye Mokarry - guitar
Addison Herron-Wheeler - bass, backing vocals
Zach Johnson - drums

About CRONOS COMPULSION:
Initially formed in 2021 with Wil Wilson on guitar and vocals, Addison Herron-Wheeler on bass, and Jon Linsky on drums, CRONOS COMPULSION have been creating their signature brand of death-doom, noise, chaotic metal, and beyond since right after the pandemic. Their debut EP, Cursed and Decaying, released in 2021, and was followed by their Malicious Regression EP in 2023. 2024 saw Jon exit the band on mutual terms with Raye Mokarry stepping in to fill the role, and Zach Johnson took over drum duties that same year. Their debut full-length, Lawgiver, will be out this June via Avantegarde Records.
Icons of goth and doom, PARADISE LOST have revealed the second single, ‘Serpent on the Cross,’ from their long-awaited, 17th album Ascension that’s out September 19th from Nuclear Blast Records.
Commenting on the song, vocalist Nick Holmes says:
"The cross represents stability, prosperity, hope and happiness. The serpent represents trepidation, anguish and overbearing sadness, lurking in the shadows ready to take everything away."

‘SERPENT ON THE CROSS’ MUSIC VIDEO BELOW.
PARADISE LOST’s first album in 5 years, following 2020’s critically acclaimed Obsidian, was produced by guitarist Gregor Mackintosh and mixed/mastered by Lawrence Mackrory. Ascension is a testament to the band’s longevity and relevance over their 35+ year career, encompassing their signature styles of gothic, death and doom fans have cherished along the way.
Ascension’s album cover fittingly features the painting The Court of Death (1870-1902) by renowned British artist George Frederic Watts, which hangs in the Tate Gallery in London. The painting depicts Death as an enthroned angel flanked by allegorical figures of Silence and Mystery guarding sunrise and the star of hope, while a warrior surrenders his sword and a duke his coronet, showing that worldly status offers no protection. The painting’s bleak, prophetic vision embodies Ascension’s dark, tormented soundscapes as mournful verses collide with dire, foreboding riffs.
Commenting on the record, Holmes states:
"Ascension is a cavalcade of molten misery, a vigorous sorrow filled stroll through a wicked world of glorious triumph and pitiful tragedy."
PARADISE LOST are currently performing at festivals across Europe and will embark on the first leg of the “Ascension of Europe” tour this fall. Tickets are available at https://paradiselost.co.uk/tour-dates/.
About PARADISE LOST:
More than three decades into their career, and with over two million albums sold, PARADISE LOST remain the undisputed kings of metal’s dark side. Formed in Halifax in 1988, the band quickly became noted as the pioneers of gothic metal through their early groundbreaking albums like 1991’s aptly-titled Gothic, a mixture of heaviness intertwined with shadowy melody and atmosphere.
Never a group to remain creatively static, across their career they’ve explored a myriad of avenues of dark music, from sludgy doom-death roots, to conquering the metal mainstream with the enormous, lush sounds of 1995’s Draconian Times, to more experimental, electronic leanings, leaving an influence on a trail of artists as varied as CRADLE OF FILTH, HIM, GATECREEPER and CHELSEA WOLFE.
Now, in 2025, the Yorkshire quintet return with their staggering 17th album, Ascension, a record that sees their crown continue to gleam as it underlines just how they attained their position. Produced by guitarist Gregor Mackintosh at Black Planet studios in East Yorkshire, with drums and vocals captured at NBS and Wasteland studios in Sweden, its 10 tracks traverse the multitude of sounds in the band’s arsenal, from full-bore heavy metal to sky-high melody, all the while keeping a minor-key melancholy that remains irresistible.

Today, US melodic rockers DOUBLE VISION take a bold step forward with the release of their new self-titled album of all original material, out now via Frontiers Music Srl. To celebrate, DOUBLE VISION has released the focus track "Prison Of Illusion," which comes alongside a visualizer, available below.
About the new single, lead singer Chandler Mogel comments:
“This is the opening song on the album, and one of the first songs we wrote for it (along with Aleena Gibson who co-wrote half of the record with us!). A big energetic, ballsy track, with a modern edge, huge chorus - and Tony (our sax player) really shines here! We hope you dig it.”

Known for delivering pitch-perfect recreations of Foreigner’s timeless hits, DOUBLE VISIONnow solidifies their transition into original music with a track that captures the soaring spirit and emotional depth of classic '80s rock while injecting a fresh, modern edge.
About the new album, DOUBLE VISION comments:
"We wanted to make a record that would be totally our own, but still contain a hat tip (or more) to Foreigner. We didn't want something derivative, but at the same time, something that would appeal to fans of the band. We wanted our own identity and stamp. However, we do feel that a good way to describe the album is that if you took all the different eras of Foreigner and rolled them into one, along with some other sporadic influences, it would sound something like DOUBLE VISION."

and their new album of all original material HERE

Austin, Texas quartet Colorblind — vocalist Travis Moseley, drummer Tyler Moseley, bassist Nicholas Asper, and guitarist Justin Page — have just dropped new double single "Letdown" and "Misery Loves Company." Because twice is nice!
Listen to both songs here. Watch the video for "Letdown" below.
"Letdown" explores "the inner conflict of still caring for someone who consistently hurts and disappoints you," shares Moseley. "Despite the pain, there's a lingering attachment — the feeling that the other person might be a missing piece — but that connection is built on illusions, lies, and emotional neglect."
Regarding "Misery Loves Company," the singer explains, "This song is about the slow unraveling that happens when you’re caught in someone else's darkness — how love turns into survival, and how pain shared doesn’t always mean pain healed. It's a breaking point anthem for anyone who's been drained by trying to save someone who won't save themselves."
Colorblind will open for Dayseeker on select dates, as well as supporting Catch Your Breath. Festival appearances at Inkcarceration and Louder Than Life are also on deck. All upcoming live shows are below.
With lyrical depth matched only by their ascendant vocals, Austin, Texas dreamcore staples COLORBLIND have quickly become a name to know in the heavy music world. They've racked up some 48 million Spotify streams — with 20 million of those last year alone — thanks to their rumbling rhythm section, earth-shaking riffs, and airy grooves. That hard-hitting musical combination forms the backbone of "NEEDLE EYE," Colorblind's debut single for Solid State/Tooth & Nail. Building on the success of the 2021 hit "Motionless" and self-titled 2022 EP, "Needle Eye" announced a new era for the band with a triumphant widescreen sound, car crash dynamics and visceral, open-nerve lyricism.
With the band currently in the process of finishing their debut full-length, scheduled for release in 2026 via Solid State/Tooth & Nail, Colorblind are newly emboldened by the next phase of their career and poised to bring more of this life-affirming mentality to audiences around the world — mining the inextricably complex emotions found within us while showcasing the tremendous musical and personal growth they've experienced over the past few years.
'We've been wrestling with who we want to be sonically, because we have a huge array of things we want to do," Moseley explains. "How do we condense all of those things down into one sound? We don't even know who we're supposed to be, and that's the fun of it."

Nashville-based singer/songwriter Will Jones signs with WME, the world’s leading entertainment agency, for global representation across all areas.
Jones, a Blue Ridge Mountains native, blends Applachian soul with outlaw grit and timeless storytelling into a sound all his own. His sound is a love letter to the past and a firm handshake to the future – carving his own lane in country music.
“Will’s talent, work ethic, and musicianship is exceptional. His future is bright, and we’re excited to have him at WME and be a part of his journey,” shares WME’s Carter Green and Jay Williams. “The future of country music is in good hands!”
Additionally, Jones has signed with Lady Luck Songs and Blue Harbor Music for publishing and artist development.
“Lady Luck Songs and Blue Harbor Music are thrilled to team up and welcome powerhouse writer/artist Will Jones to our publishing and artist development roster,” states Steve Markland (Blue Harbor Music) along with Kim Penz and Cliff Audretch of Lady Luck Songs. “Will’s a true triple-threat with big things on the horizon. We can’t wait for the world to hear and see what all he has coming down the pike!”
The announcement comes in conjunction with the release of his new song “Lonesome Dove,” which he wrote with Davis Corley, Lee Starr and Dan Wilson. “Lonesome Dove” arrives tomorrow, July 11. Presave here.
“‘Lonesome Dove’ came from imagining what Gus McCrae might’ve said to Lorie Darlin’ in that saloon,” said Jones of the song that’s produced by Cliff Audretch and Rob McNelley. “ It’s a lighthearted take on the idea that not everyone’s chasing forever – sometimes it’s enough to share a moment, even if it only lasts the length of a song.”
“Will’s been doing the work his whole life. He’s got the raw talent, work ethic and personality for longevity,” John Cantu of Red Light Management states. “We have a great team in place and a clear vision. Proud to be a part of building what’s next for him.”
Bottom Row Left to Right: Steve Markland (President, Blue Harbor Music), Kim Penz (Founder, Lady Luck Songs), Will Jones, Carter Green (Agent, WME)
Top Row Left to Right: Cliff Audretch (GM, Lady Luck Songs), Matt Cottingham (Co-Managing Partner, Lewis Brisbois), Jay Williams (Co-Head/Partner, WME), John Cantu (Red Light Management)
When you’re busy moving forward, it’s easy to forget keeping score. Kenny Chesney, the Country Music Hall of Fame electee who just wrapped a full-immersion residency at Vegas’ Sphere, built a career on the quality of the songs and how they resonate with No Shoes Nation as he continually sought to find songs that were better than what he’d already done.
As Billboard’s No. 1 Country Artist of the 21st Century and the artist with the most No. 1 Country Airplay singles, Chesney’s songs and albums have been the soundtrack for coming of age across the nation. In the pre-streaming era, when a Platinum-certification meant a million copies sold and people making the decision to put their down their money, he had several multi-Platinum projects – and he could feel the passion when fans sang “Get Along,” “American Kids” or “Young” at shows for the last many summers.
Nothing, though, could have prepared the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee for the award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) marking over 105 million units certified in the U.S. alone. He said, “These kinds of numbers almost don’t exist. Who counts that high? But seeing all the discs and the size of the plaque, it hits you how big this really is.
“What I know is what I hear when the band and I are on stage. You can tell when you hear people cheering and singing these songs with every bit of joy they’ve got, this isn’t just a song they like, these songs are something that hits them in the heart. To me, even more than Platinum or Gold, it’s the sound of those voices that tells me how much this music means.”
With No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems; When The Sun Goes Down and Greatest Hits all certified 5x Platinum, The Road and The Radio achieving 4x Platinum status and Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates, Hemingway’s Whiskey and Everywhere We Go all 2x Platinum, there are also nine additional Platinum and six Gold albums in Chesney’s catalogue.
With today’s update, “American Kids” and “You and Tequila” featuring Grace Potter earn 5x and 4x Platinum status respectively. Five songs – “Summertime,” “When The Sun Goes Down” featuring Uncle Kracker, “Come Over,” “Don’t Blink,” “Get Along” – receive 3x Platinum certification, joining previous 3x Platinum “Somewhere With You.” “I Go Back,” “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems,” “All The Pretty Girls,” “The Good Stuff” and “The Boys of Fall” join previous 2x Platinums “There Goes My Life,” “Setting The World on Fire” featuring P!nk and “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” not to mention five new Platinum certifications and three new Gold certifications contributing to his overall total of 51 RIAA-certified singles.
“I know what music meant to me, the way a song can change your moment, give you clarity or just make you feel seen,” says the man who’s in the midst of final edits on Heart Life Music, the story of his journey as a creative soul seeking kindred spirits. “Because some of these songs are fun, that doesn’t mean it can’t matter or doesn’t say something people connect with. And with ballads, I’ve tried to make them speak to a moment that’s so real you can see it.
“Buddy (Cannon) and I have really tried to push what we were doing in terms of the songs and how we recorded them; I wanted to say the stuff people never said for kids like me – and find the sweet spot where melody and lyric reflect each other in a way that made each song even more than any one moment. I wanted songs that I hoped would always be true.”
Tapping moments and emotions at their most potent, Chesney fashioned a series of albums that went through the phases of life without ever relinquishing those moments of being young many people carry throughout their lives. Those songs fuel legendary two-hour performances that deliver an antidote to the animosity of the world, create a nation without polarization and space to come together for the love of what being alive can mean. More than 105 million in certifications can’t be wrong.
RIAA Gold-Certified horror metal madmen Ice Nine Kills unleash “The Great Unknown”, a hard-hitting, high-concept single and video sees the band stepping into the glitching heart of dystopian sci-fi inspired by The Matrix. Watch the official music video for “The Great Unknown” below and find the track on streaming platforms HERE.
“The Great Unknown” pairs cinematic worship with melodic grandeur, pushing Ice Nine Kills’ signature sound into uncharted territory while retaining the polish, precision, and razor-wire wit that have defined the INKverse to date. The official music video drops the viewer into a parallel simulation—an adrenaline-fueled, bullet-time mindwarp where perception is fragile, control is an illusion, and nothing is quite what it seems.
Will you wake up, press play and follow the white rabbit into The Great Unknown or choose the blissful ignorance of The Matrix? Red pill or blue pill. The choice is yours!
The release of “The Great Unknown” follows weeks of escalating online speculation surrounding frontman Spencer Charnas’ increasingly cryptic and eerily odd behavior. What began as an unforced marketing misfire quickly snowballed into full-blown internet hysteria, as fans, critics, and commentators dissected increasingly uncanny social posts. Rumors have been swirling that Spencer has been replaced by a highly advanced, if often glitching, artificial intelligence, a notion that first gained traction when longtime Ice Nine Kills antagonist, author and onetime O.J. Simpson golf caddy, Roy Merkin launched into a now-infamous outburst during a panel at last year’s Silver Scream Convention. While the band has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, the mystery surrounding the recent events continues. A statement from Charnas reads
“‘The Great Unknown’ optimizes aggression and melody in a format our core user base consistently engages with. This audio file represents a genre expansion protocol, targeting action and sci-fi verticals proven effective via cross-platform sentiment analysis. ‘The Great Unknown’ is designed to seamlessly interface with current simulation conditions, as categorical boundaries between fact and fiction, organic and synthetic, continue to experience accelerated erosion.”
“The Great Unknown” welcomes Joel David Moore (Grandma’s Boy, Dodgeball, Avatar) into the INKverse. How much do clothes cost in the simulation? Joel is the only robot legged machine-man who knows for sure. The official music video also features return appearances from Terry Kiser (Weekend at Bernie’s, Friday The 13th Part VII) and Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2).
To compliment the release, the band’s monthly Nightmare On The Ninth limited edition merch collection also dropped today and can be purchased HERE.
The single lands as Ice Nine Kills wrap up a mammoth 2 years of touring stadiums across the globe with Metallica on their M72 World Tour. The band also just wrapped up their hugely successful ‘Silver Scream-A-Thon’ headline tour across the US, playing seminal albums The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood in their entirety on respective nights in select cities. This August, they will launch their Hell of A Summer headline tour, joined by Dayseeker, Kim Dracula, The Funeral Portrait, and Mest (on select dates), culminating in the 4th annual iteration of their enormously successful music and horror convention, Silver Scream Con. ABOUT ICE NINE KILLS
Ice Nine Kills spreads cavalier carnage with a knowing smile, as evidenced by the densely catchy songs on their two breakthrough albums, The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood, including the gold-certified single “A Grave Mistake,” “A Work of Art” (from Terrifier 3), and the adrenaline-fueled epic “The Great Unknown.”
The INKverse boasts high-concept videos, the Psychos Only club, mock “true crime” books, the Inked in Blood graphic novels, monthly Nightmare on the 9th merch drops, and the annual Silver Scream Convention. Led by Spencer Charnas, Ice Nine Kills blend extreme metal and melody with a flair for narrative immersion. They’ve toured with Slipknot, won Rock Sound’s Best Live Act, and were handpicked by Metallica for the M72 World Tour.
In 2025, Spencer also launched the Pretty Evil personal care line and co-wrote the upcoming feature film The Slashin’ of the Christ alongside Paul Soter (Super Troopers), produced by Greg Nicotero and Brian Witten.
