If there’s one thing Dustin Lynch knows how to do, it’s throw a party — and he proved it once again during CMA Fest 2025, hosting not one but two back-to-back blowout events in downtown Nashville.

Presented by Hey Dude and held at the rooftop pool of Margaritaville Hotel Nashville, DUSTIN LYNCH POOL SITUATION: NASHVILLE returned for its third consecutive year on Friday (6/6) — and fans were ready. Lining up as early as 5 a.m., Lynch’s Stay Country faithful fans packed the deck for a two-hour set that raged through the afternoon, rain delay and all.

Living up to its reputation as country music’s premier pool party, this year’s bash featured surprise performances from Sister Hazel (“All For You”) and Deana Carter, who treated the crowd to hits including “We Danced Anyway” and the iconic “Strawberry Wine.” With sponsors Coors, Happy Dad and Hey Dude Shoes in the mix, the event also kept traditions alive with the infamous Mullet Barber and a fan-favorite Belly Flop Competition.

The next night (6/7), Lynch traded poolside for party mode, bringing the energy to Barstool Nashville for his exclusive DUSTIN LYNCH NIGHTLIFE PARTY CLUB SET, a nod to his ongoing 2025 WYNN NIGHTLIFE LAS VEGAS RESIDENCY. With a line around the block and the venue quickly reaching capacity, the crowd was treated to a surprise set from viral star Dasha, who performed her breakout “Austin” and fan-favorite “Not At This Party.”

Lynch, whose latest single “Easy To Love” was the most added song at country radio the week of release, continues to build momentum with his signature blend of country charm and high-octane showmanship. Throughout CMA Fest, fans could also find Dustin at SiriusXM’s Music Row Happy Hour at Chief’s on Broadway, at Audacy at the Hard Rock Cafe, at the iHeartCountry House Party at Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa and the 10x #1 hitmaker also led a conversation about the Road to #1s with Drew Baldridge and John Morgan looking at their first #1s. EXILED HOPE Unleashes "Forbidden Majesties"

Critically acclaimed symphonic metal artist EXILED HOPE has unleashed a lyric video for her stunning track "Forbidden Majesties". The song is taken from her album Apocrypha which released digitally on April 11th, 2025.

Sofia Frasz, the mastermind behind the project, commented, "I rerecorded the guitar parts for this song multiple times before I was finally happy with them. This was the first time I experimented with a more rhythmic playing style, and while it took some getting used to, it finally feels natural. “Forbidden Majesties” is both atmospheric and intense, and briefly dips into a soft cinematic style reminiscent of “Deathslayer” during the bridge. It ties together all the different threads, from heavier styles to lighter styles, that I’ve woven throughout the album and feels like a natural conclusion, leaving the door open for further stylistic exploration."

Disciples of Verity Release New Single "Break The Cycle" via TLG|ZOID ​   

Disciples of Verity, fronted by the iconic singer Corey Glover of Living Colour, have dropped their new single, "Break the Cycle," via TLG | ZOID, with distribution by Virgin Music Group.

 

The track is the latest preview from their highly anticipated sophomore album, NEXUS, produced by George Pond and co-produced by Sahaj Ticotin (RA). Alongside the single, the band has released a lyric video that visually amplifies the song’s message.

Fueled by an insatiable urge to create and collaborate, this heavy metal incarnation seeks to challenge all that they believe to be true with their project, Disciples of Verity (DOV). The band features heavy-hitters such as Corey Glover (Living Colour), Corey Pierce (God Forbid), George Pond (Negative Sky, Swim The Current), Mark Monjoy (Sekond Skyn), and Zack Miranowic (Sekond Skyn, Riversend). The band formed just over four years ago after mutual projects brought the five members together. With Pond as the common denominator, having played with each of these artists throughout his career, his songs with Corey Glover were quickly embraced by the others, which evolved into their debut album, Pragmatic Sanction.

 

Over the next eight months, DOV feverishly cranked out eight heavy, hook-laden songs with one distinct element—their infectious, melodic grooves. The song, which is inspired by '90s era grunge and alt rock, takes a hard look at some major problems felling the world in the current digital day and age, and beyond. It's an incredibly mature point of view from someone who grew up in this era and who is undoubtedly affected by these issues.

 "The song reflects a world grappling with chaos, political unrest, cultural decay, or crises. like climate change or tech overload," Oliveri explains. "'Lunatics' could represent humanity's behavior, like wars, while the 'acid trip' is a distorted reality created by media or technology.  The disillusionment with 'God' or higher powers mirrors a global loss of faith in institutions whether religious, the government, or corporations leaving people to 'fake it' in a world that almost feels like a failed experiment."

A chance meeting at age 14 with a local producer's father while in a coffee shop with his grandpa was the first domino to fall in Oliveri's music story. The rest is a history still to be written. "I've been so incredibly lucky, but I've manifested this, too," he says. "I've always known writing music would be my life. I just had to make it happen. It was hard to find kids around my city that played instruments and wanted to be in a band, but I've been writing songs every day in my bedroom since I was maybe 13 years old. It takes me to a different place."
  
"I want to bring people into my world through my music," he adds. "I want people to feel something when they listen to my music, and to relate to me, and for me to be a friend and an outlet for them."

Out Now - Hollow Leg - Dust and Echoes

When HOLLOW LEG began shaping what would become Dust and Echoes, the Florida-based heavy outfit wasn’t setting out to write a full-length album. Instead, the band—formed in 2009 and known for their sludge-laced, riff-centric take on heavy rock—decided to create two distinct EPs, Dust and Echoes, written and recorded during separate sessions across the span of a year. The intention was simple: two standalone releases that carried a shared DNA, built to be experienced independently or fused together as a full-length journey.

That journey is now complete. Releasing in June 2025 via Third House Communications, Dust and Echoes is HOLLOW LEG’s most cohesive and diverse album to date, a full-spectrum exploration of weight and atmosphere. Across nine songs and nearly 40 minutes, the band channels doom, grunge, hard rock, space rock, and old-school metal into a singular vision of destruction, decay, and transcendence. It’s both a soundtrack to the end of the world and a map for surviving it.

The album opens with “Poison Bite,” a crushingly slow and sludgy track that pulls from HOLLOW LEG’s earlier material—raw, direct, and emotionally grim. Written around themes of twisted human behavior, it’s a live staple that sets the tone for what’s to come. From there, “Sick Days” shifts gears into a more rock-driven groove, pairing gritty riffage with cleaner vocals to create a brutal but melodic attack on the cruelty of mankind and the absurdity of war.

“Funeral Storms” brings a grunge-tinged groove with thick vocals and apocalyptic imagery, while “Another Day Dying” leans into the band’s hardcore roots. It’s packed with layered vocals and ends with a hazy, psychedelic slide guitar outro—blurring the lines between consciousness and chaos. “Holy Water” closes out the Dust half of the album with slow-building atmosphere, rainsticks, congas, and other textural ear candy. A post-apocalyptic hymn, it imagines the “last tribe” surviving after civilization’s collapse.

Then comes Echoes, the second half of the experience. “Last Tribe” kicks off this side with bounce, groove, and rich vocal harmonies, ending in a synthy wash of guitars and the titular phrase “emerging from dust and echoes.” It's both the conceptual and musical bridge between the EPs. “Bury Our Kings” follows with a blues-drenched riff that has become a live staple, its infectious mid-tempo stomp securing it as one of the band’s signature bangers.

With “Red Skies,” HOLLOW LEG imagines humanity abandoning Earth to start over on Mars—a short, punchy rocker that blends end-times anxiety with space-faring escapism. “Ride the Wave/Dig the Grave,” the album’s longest track, closes the record on a high. It’s a two-part epic about aging, surrendering to time, and accepting the inevitable, morphing from a frenetic, groove-heavy rocker into a doom-gaze finale that floats through the void like stardust.

The lineup—Scott Angelacos (vocals), Brent Lynch (guitar/backing vocals), John Stewart (drums/percussion), and Tom Crowther (bass)—recorded the album at High Five Studio in DeLand, Florida, producing the sessions themselves with mixing and mastering handled by Zeuss. The artwork was created by Shawn Garrett and Jean Saiz, echoing the record’s themes of desolation and rebirth. These four musicians, veterans of underground acts like BLOODLET, CARIBOU KING, JUNIOR BRUCE, and HOPE AND SUICIDE, have always thrived in heavy music’s murky, rebellious corners—and with Dust and Echoes, they’ve crafted something that’s both raw and realized.

Whether you start with Dust or Echoes, the result is the same: a heavy, grooving, groove-laden saga about the end of everything—and the strange beauty in what comes after.

Formed in 2015 by Ben Koehler (guitar) and Nathanael Pulley (vocals), ARCHERS quickly became known for their raw mix of metalcore and pop-rock, tackling everything from mental health to relationships with a brutally honest edge. With Oscar Porter (bass) and Grayson Mesarosh (drums) rounding out the lineup, the band’s sound has only gotten sharper.

 

2020's New Normal EP was a game-changer, with its powerful blend of heavy riffs and introspective lyrics drawing comparisons to bands like Dayseeker and Sleep Token. Singles like "Bitter" and "Say This Sober" showcase their ability to balance vulnerability with intensity, earning them a fiercely dedicated fanbase. Ashley Gorley Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame

With an unprecedented 83 No. 1 radio singles to his name, Ashley Gorley was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame yesterday, June 12, alongside The Doobie Brothers, George Clinton, Mike Love of the Beach Boys, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins and Tony Macaulay.
 
Following an introduction and performance by Dan + Shay – whose smash hits “Nothin’ Like You” and “Save Me The Trouble” were co-written with the inductee – Gorley’s daughter Sadie took the stage to welcome her father, adding a personal note to the milestone moment.
 
“I spent the last few weeks trying to internalize that this is a real thing, and that I somehow belong on this list, and in this room with you guys,” Gorley shared during his speech. “And as much as part of me is still in shock, I look around this room, and I know I belong. 
 
“I belong because it’s a room full of people who love music. People who are passionate about creating. Who have 10,000 untitled voice memos on their phones of random gibberish and melody scats, like me. Who write down titles and ideas in the middle of the night and hope the next morning they look half as brillant…I look around this room, and I see family.”

Gorley recently received his 25th and 26th CMA Triple Play Awards, continuing his reign as the most-decorated recipient. He is ASCAP’s 2024 Country Songwriter of the Year and has been honored with the award 11 times. ASCAP also celebrated his co-written monster hit, “Last Night,” released by Wallen, as their 2024 Country Song of the Year.
 
In recent years, Gorley has held the number-one spot on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 Songwriter chart for multiple weeks, earned GRAMMY, CMA and ACM Award honors, including Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year, and has co-written multiple most-played songs of the year on country radio, including Nate Smith’s ten-week number-one, “World On Fire,” in 2024. He was named Songwriter of the Decade for 2010-2019 at the Nashville Songwriter Awards and has earned all-genre Songwriter of the Year honors from Variety and iHeart Radio. Gorley’s songs “Last Night” by Wallen and “I Had Some Help” by Malone and Wallen are two of the biggest country crossover hits of all time.
 
Recent hit, “I Am Not Okay” released by Jelly Roll, has served as a platform for important conversations about mental health, sparking an initiative cultivated by Gorley to create songwriter-specific therapy programs at Onsite in Nashville, Tenn.
 
In 2011, Gorley formed his own publishing and artist development company, Tape Room Music. Under his leadership and mentorship, writers for Tape Room have celebrated over No. 1 songs, including 2018 ASCAP Country Song of the Year, “Body Like A Back Road,” 2021 ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC Country Song, “One Of Them Girls,” and 10-week Country Airplay number-one hit, “World On Fire.”

Randall King and Braxton Keith Team Up For “Cheatin’ On My Honky Tonk,” Out Now

In the 18 months since Randall King released his sophomore major label album, Into The Neon, the Hereford, Texas native got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Brittany Warthan, and the pair welcomed their first child together – a daughter named Paisley Leanna – in April. Reflecting on this new stage in his life, King is spending less time under the neon signs that he’s grown accustomed to with the release of “Cheatin’ On My Honky Tonk” feat. “My fans all know how much I love a honky tonk, however life’s looking a little different these days,” shares King. “I’m spending less time under that neon glow and more time at home with my girls, and this song felt like the perfect way to bridge Into The Neon and this next chapter. “Cheatin’ On My Honky Tonk” was written by Phil O’Donnell, Ira Dean and Ronnie Dunn. Paired with fellow Texas native Braxton Keith on vocals, King wittily depicts a man’s maturation as his priorities shift from frequenting his local honky tonk to spending time at home with his newfound love.

“Randall’s been championing me in my career from the beginning,” remarks Keith. “We had a lot of fun on this one. It was an honor to be asked to sing on his song.”
 
As King returns to the studio, readying his next album for 2026, the man Holler declared “the genre's neo-traditional figurehead” will continue touring throughout 2025, with a mix of headlining shows and support dates on Luke Bryan’s Country Song Came On Tour.
 
King’s sophomore album, Into The Neon, was released Jan. 26, 2024 to critical acclaim, leaving Texas Monthlyobserving “his Texas bona fides are unimpeachable.” Into The Neon was also named among the top country albums of 2024 by Entertainment Focus and Whiskey Riff. The album yielded King’s first country radio single, “I Could Be That Rain.”

OUT JUNE 20: 'The Ocean Understands' EP from renowned NYC artist-producer CHARLIE NIELAND

NYC-based songwriter-producer Charlie Nieland releases his new EP 'The Ocean Understands' on June 20. Four years since releasing his acclaimed ‘Divisions’ album, he once again brings us a collection of  sweeping melodies and restless rhythms, tastefully blending post punk, dream pop and prog rock.

The material from this EP and the forthcoming album 'Stories From the Borderlines' (out later this year) took root through the NYC performance series "The Bushwick Book Club" in response to various literary sources and was inspired by Nieland's deep love of David Bowie, Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, Cocteau Twins, Love & Rockets and The Cure.

"This set of songs is a kaleidoscope of styles. They are luminous secret rooms that reflect one human’s heart in a world at the precipice. Staying creative is resistance. As authoritarians attack culture, they make the mistake that imagination can be controlled when it actually emerges from the bottom up. Culture is not imaginary. It’s is rooted in imagination but it’s more real than what can be measured," says Charlie Nieland. 

"These songs tell stories of growing up, of how we got severed, and how we connect. I burrowed into each idea over several years that were filled with love, uncertainty and family drama. The time allowed me to create and explore sound worlds with a cinematic eye; finding contrasts in texture and time. To create an experience that shifts with each listen."

Nieland recently shared the dream-pop single 'Redshift', delving into the profound experience of creating your own chosen family, viewed through the lens of cosmic expansion and astrophysical wonder, following the stunning reverb-laced lead track 'Drown'. The video, directed by multi-faceted artist Hypnodoll, was inspired by a dystopian vision of a mythical, psychedelic siren song that explores a dark, authoritarian past through jumbled stories of the future. Sifting through present wreckage, 'Drown' searches for grace amidst violent, oceanic forces.

Nieland’s musical backstory is extensive, having written, performed and produced music for decades, focused on the atmospheric and the imaginative. He also wrote for and produced such notable artists as Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Blondie and Scissor Sisters, as well as scoring the feature film 'The Safety of Objects' (starring Glenn Close), the pilot episode of 'The L Word' on Showtime and the VH-1documentary 'NY77: The Coolest Year in Hell'.

Charlie was awarded a Gold record (UK) for his production work on Blondie's 'Greatest Hits Sight & Sound' and achieved a Top 10 Billboard Dance Chart Position with Debbie Harry's single 'Two Times Blue', which he co-wrote and produced.

His dream pop band Her Vanished Grace made music for over 20 years before establishing himself as a solo artist with a mix of nuanced songwriting and sonic exploration, debuting 'Ice Age' (2014) and then 'Hopeful Monsters' (2016). Half of the literature-inspired songwriting and performing duo Lusterlit with Susan Hwang, he also produces and co-hosts the 'An Embarrassment of Prog' podcast.

Calva Louise Walk "Edge of the Abyss" + Follow the Path of the Warrior on "Impeccable" Video

Calva Louise continue their frenetic vision on the explosive new single "Impeccable." It pulls you with both hands into their complex and cinematic sci-fi universe with a mesmerizing blend of punk, metal, and electronica. They've dropped another incredibly hypnotic video, once again directed with visual effects by singer/guitarist Jess Allanic.

The sprawling story of Calva Louise is captivating. The band that found each other from opposite corners of the world — Venezuela, New Zealand, and France — discovered their home and community in the UK. Their combined influences and experiences create an incredible melting pot of musicality, and with Jess Allinac's compelling narrative vision, they've conceived something truly unique. 

Their new studio album, Edge of the Abyss, which is co-produced by Pendulum's Gareth McGrillen, will be released on July 11 via Mascot Records.

Set in 1994, "Impeccable" is a direct sequel to "W.T.F," which introduced the protagonist, Louise, who is experiencing bizarre happenings inside her home and encounters a feeling of dread signaling danger: someone is inside her house and stalking her. She catches glimpses of what has been stalking her: An uncanny version of herself — her "double." 

"It is about that feeling of powerlessness that occurs when we are in situations beyond our control," says Allanic.

Another high-energy collision of futurism, riffs, apocalyptic drums, and haunting electronics, "Impeccable" continues its journey down the rabbit hole and tells the story of a young man called Jonnie, who has been deadly poisoned and has no choice but to act impeccably to survive. 

"I follow you anywhere you go. Death spoke to the warrior, Who was looking for a chance. I follow you anywhere you go. He said to the abyss, On the edge of life," the lyrics hypnotically yearn.
 
"For this, he has to follow his double into another world, the Fractalworld, or death will strike him," the band says. "Jonnie will have to quickly understand who his double is and cross over the threshold to overcome his fate. Impeccable is the direct sequel of 'W.T.F,' where we meet the main character Louise and her own encounter with her double."

The Edge of the Abyss sees characters traveling between different dimensions, with people who mysteriously resemble doubles of each of us, like shadows that seem to stalk us but who, in reality, seek to communicate. Who are these beings? What do they want from us? How can we reach them?
 
The recent single "Lo Que Vale" — translated into English as "What is Worth," became the latest frenzied installment of the album following "Aimless," a reflective catharsis of human communication.

The cinematic sci-fi videos for the album singles show different times and worlds where some characters have encounters with their 'doubles.' "W.T.F" is the prequel of the previous singles — "La Corriente" and "Under The Skin" — all directed and VFX by Jess.

Gideon Announce Signing With Sumerian Records + Drops New Track "Til the Wheels Fall Off"

Tuscaloosa, Alabama quartet Gideon have today announced signing with their new label home, Sumerian Records. In celebration of the news, the band released their new banger "Til the Wheels Fall Off" with an official music video coming soon. When asked about the signing and new music, the band commented:

Progressive death metal masters FALLUJAH have released their highly-anticipated new album, Xenotaph, today with Nuclear Blast Records. Critically revered from the outset, Xenotaph is a cataclysmic composition of highly evolved, profound metal immersed in an epic, otherworldly futuristic saga.

Today, alternative rock duo PEAKS! is excited to announce the release of their digital EP, ‘MODERN WORLD SURVIVORS II,’ out now via FLG. In addition, a new track, “LEECHER,”is out now, accompanied by a lyric video, available to view below.

PEAKS! comments on the new track:

“’LEECHER’ is a scream disguised as a song - born from the urge to call out the toxic patterns we sometimes tolerate. It’s about those people who feed off your energy, twist your words, and hide behind false concern while pulling the strings. We’ve all met someone like that. This track is about waking up to it - seeing the manipulation clearly and refusing to play along anymore.

 

“Lyrically, it’s sharp, sarcastic, and rooted in truth, not just anger, but clarity. There’s freedom in naming things for what they are and breaking the roles others try to put you in. Sonically, it hits hard: distorted, punchy, relentless. Every riff is designed to cut through the noise like a slap to the face”, they added. 'LEECHER' is a statement: I see you, I’m done, and I won’t shrink to make you comfortable.”

About the EP, the band stated:

“’MODERN WORLD SURVIVORS II’ is for anyone who’s ever felt too much in a world that listens too little. It’s for the gaslit, the shutdown, the ones who’ve been guilt-tripped into silence - and still found a way to make noise. Each track is a snapshot of resistance: ‘LEECHER’ confronts manipulation with venom and truth; ‘BAD DECISIONS’ embraces the beautiful mess of recklessness; ‘MORPHIA’ howls from the edge of numbness, and ‘DON’T WANNA BE LIKE YOU’ goes straight for the throat of hypocrisy.

 

“This EP lives in the tension between chaos and clarity. The lyrics are confessional, confrontational, sometimes self-destructive - but never hollow. They’re laced with irony, pain, and the raw need to break free from anything fake, expected, or imposed.

 

“Musically, it’s cathartic and intimate: distorted guitars, punchy rhythms, and haunting melodies form a wall of sound that feels like fists against the walls and voices breaking through static. It’s a darker, more resolved end to the storm we started in Part I - less about survival, more about defiance. We didn’t write these songs to be safe. We wrote them to feel alive. They wrapped up 2022 by playing with Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes.

2023 saw PEAKS! returning to The Great Escape in Brighton, playing at the first Slam Dunkin Italy, followed by support slots with Dead Poets Society in Holland, and summer shows with Placebo in Italy and Switzerland. They played with Placebo again in 2024, as well as performing at the Storing Festival in The Netherlands.

Over the years, PEAKS! have received great support from DSPs, including placements on New Music Friday playlists across Europe on Spotify, and Fresh Rock and New Rockplaylists on Amazon Music.

Many bands have explored the Pagan & Norse worlds over the last 15 years seeking atmospheric, acoustic and ritual sounds with great seriousness. This is not the path EIHWAR chose.

Although the musicians of Eihwar are virtuosos in their acoustic traditional instruments, their goal is to bring some fun… and as much chaos as possible during their concerts, provoking the craziest trance on dancefloors. They bring a festive and furious neo-viking music whose primal force is based on technoid machines, mixed with trance vocals, shamanic drums and traditional Nordic sounds.
