HELLOWEEN Announce New Album 'Giants & Monsters' And Release First Single And Video for ‘"This Is Tokyo"

HELLOWEEN, the legendary German metal band with 21 gold and platinum awards and over ten million records sold, will release their highly anticipated new album Giants & Monsters this August. The album, now available for pre-order, follows their self-titled #1 2021 record and promises to be the most versatile and dynamic release of their career. Mixed at the legendary Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum, Netherlands (IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, DEF LEPPARD etc.),Giants & Monsters reaffirms the band’s position at the pinnacle of the metal world. Pre-orders are available here: https://helloween.rpm.link/giantsmonstersPR

Leading the charge is the album’s first single, "This Is Tokyo," accompanied by a visual homage to Japan. The powerful, four-minute anthem features vocalists Andi Deris and Michael Kiske and delivers a chorus designed for stadium sing-alongs. The song holds personal significance for Deris: “I’ve always wanted to write this song. Japan plays a special role in my life because I had my first big successes there. I wanted to create a tribute to Japan for a while now and finally found the right lyrics. Because ‘Tokyo’ sounds better than ‘Japan,’ the city stands for a whole country that is very important to me.” Watch "This Is Tokyo" Below:

HELLOWEEN will celebrate four decades of metal mastery with a global 40th anniversary tour. The European leg begins in mid-October, with initial dates selling out quickly and additional shows in Madrid and Bochum already on sale. Featuring an ultimate set list packed with surprises, the tour will showcase the band’s unparalleled legacy and ongoing creative power.

Giants & Monsters pushes the boundaries of HELLOWEEN’s sound, thanks to the instincts of producers Charlie Bauerfeind and Dennis Ward, as well as the band’s relentless pursuit of excellence. Per example, drummer Dani Löble recorded all tracks using three different drum kits to capture the perfect vibe for each song, a testament to their attention to detail and love of experimentation.

The band’s chemistry continues to drive their success. “What keeps motivating us is the fact that we’re extremely different. It generates creative energy,” says guitarist Michael Weikath. Kai Hansen adds: “We try not to take ourselves and everything around us too seriously.” Deris sums it up: “In the end, we’re just seven guys who want to make music and enjoy the incomparable force that arises when we’re together. HELLOWEEN is way more powerful than the sum of its parts.”

With Giants & Monsters, HELLOWEEN boldly step into their fifth decade, proving once again why they remain one of the most influential and beloved bands in heavy metal.

Belgian Psychedelic Post-Metallers Psychonaut Announce New Album "World Maker" + Share "Endless Currents" Video

A record born of insurmountable joy and simultaneous profound loss; World Maker marks a time of great change for Psychonaut, both personally and musically, as the band burn away the philosophical narrative complexities of previous offerings with a searing, panoramic clarity that implores us to savor the beauty of the now as a means of leaving a legacy for the future.

The album arrives October 24 via Pelagic. Pre-order it here

Today, the band has shared "Endless Currents." Watch it below.

The traditional, three-piece line up of Belgian, psychedelic post-metal collective Psychonaut has long belied the compositional prowess, captivating narrative depth and crushing live presence of a band now operating at the forefront of forward-thinking, contemporary heavy music.

Having sent a shockwave through the post-metal and prog scenes with their three times repressed Pelagic Records debut Unfold The God Man in 2020 before following it up with the transformative metaphysical complexities of 2022’s Violate Consensus Reality, Psychonaut have played prestigious Belgian open-air festivals like Alcatraz, Rock Herk and Boomtown Festival as well as boutique events such as Soulcrusher, Roadburn Redux and A Colossal Weekend whilst sharing stages across Europe with the likes of Amenra, Brutus and Pelagic labelmates The Ocean and PG.Lost.

The seed of World Maker took shape just as the campaign for Violate Consensus Reality came to a close, with the news that guitarist/vocalist Stefan De Graef was to become a father. This tilting of life’s axis led De Graef, like most fathers-to-be, to re-assess what was really important. As such, the music he was inspired to write felt free of the band’s previous philosophical and spiritual foundations and instead took the form of life lessons for his unborn son, a legacy of love in case something were ever to happen.

This hopeful euphoria shines keenly throughout World Maker as an uncharacteristically optimistic warmth; from the reverberating Rhodes organ on the titular opening track and the meandering, free-jazz inspired guitar solo that introduces "Everything Else is Just The Weather" to elements of world music, electronica and the otherworldly voice of Dutch multi-instrumentalist and old friend Anthe Huybrechts (Anthe/Helion Creek) most notably on tracks like "Origins" which also features tabla, a pair of indian hand drums, as its propulsive heartbeat.

PSYCHONAUT ARE:
Stefan de Graef — Guitars/Vocals
Thomas Michiels — Bass/Vocals
Harm Peters — Drums

If not, I fear I might be stuck in the same place, slowly left eroding. I need to die one last time to be laid to rest finally. This song, Harpy, inspired the album title.”

PRIMAL FEAR Unveil Fiery New Music Video In Support Of 'Domination'; Second Single, "The Hunter," Streaming Now

Less than three months before their new album Domination hits the shelves (September 5, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music), German metal frontrunners PRIMAL FEAR shift up another gear with "The Hunter". The second single from the record tells a conceived story while it musically sounds the attack for the quintet’s upcoming record.

Being also the opening track of Domination, the track builds up tension with anthemic lead harmonies before bursting drums and guitars break through the idyll to set the tone for another highly melodic piece from PRIMAL FEAR’s musical forge. The single additionally cements the thoroughly positive impression the group left with first single "Far Away", which saw them introduce their striking new line-up.

“Science fiction scenery, the beast is behind you, it’s me, I’m THE HUNTER, so better watch out, I smell your blood and I’m gonna get you!” warns vocalist Ralf Scheepers grinningly.

Picking up the dystopian theme of the single, director Patric Ullaeus (IN FLAMES, AMARANRATHE, EVERGREY etc.) placed the band -- Scheepers, bassist/vocalist Mat Sinner, guitarists Thalìa Bellazecca and Magnus Karlsson, and drummer André Hilgers -- in ruined environment to create a ‘metal as f**k’ music video where they find themselves surrounded by hellfire.

Watch the music video Below:
Stream "The Hunter": https://primalfear.rpm.link/thehunterPR

Music video by Patric Ullaeus (rEvolver, Sweden)

Pre-order/pre-save Domination: https://primalfear.rpm.link/dominationPR

Domination was recorded at Dennis Ward’s Kangaroo Studios (HELLOWEEN, ANGRA etc.) in autumn 2024, produced by Mat Sinner and co-produced by Ralf Scheepers as well as Magnus Karlsson. Rounded off by multiple PRIMAL FEAR mixing/mastering engineer Jacob Hansen (AMORPHIS, VOLBEAT etc.) at his own studios in Denmark, the album artwork was designed by Death.Milk.Designs.

About PRIMAL FEAR

Going strong for nearly three decades, the band founded and still led by Mat Sinner (bass, vocals) and Ralf Scheepers (vocals) have never let down their global fanbase. Relentless and constantly pushing their limits, PRIMAL FEAR ensure that no two albums ever sound the same. After Code Red [2023] hit some of the highest chart positions of their career, expectations for the next release were higher than ever. Now joined by gifted guitarist Thalìa Bellazecca and former touring drummer André Hilgers, the quintet were more than up for the challenge. And as “Domination” makes clear, no obstacle is too great for PRIMAL FEAR’s powerhouse songwriting trio - Sinner, Scheepers, and guitarist Magnus Karlsson, who also rejoins the band’s live line-up after several years away.

From the hard-hitting opener "The Hunter" and first single "Far Away," to the uplifting mid-tempo anthem "Tears Of Fire" and the epic ballad "Eden" - featuring a surprise guest appearance by AD INFINITUM’s Melissa Bonny - Domination delivers on all fronts. Add in neck-breakers like "Scream" and "Crossfire," and the reflective, string-and-piano-driven closer "A Tune I Won’t Forget," and it’s clear: PRIMAL FEAR aren’t here to reclaim the crown - they’re here to prove they’ve never left the throne of heavy/power metal royalty.

Savage Lands Partners with ESP Guitars

Just like the trees they're protecting, Savage Lands have roots that run deep. Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren and guitarist-turned-activist Sylvain Demercastel first joined forces in France during the late '90s before reuniting two decades later to form the world's first metal non-profit for biodiversity. Since 2022, their organization has protected more than 100 acres of endangered forest with help from environmentalists and metalheads.

As they prepare once again to bring the metal forest to Hellfest, today, Savage Lands is proud to announce its partnership with ESP Guitars. The two will work together to raise awareness about biodiversity and help fund the preservation projects that Savage Lands is directing in Costa Rica, Europe and Africa.

"Savage Lands is so happy to partner with a great guitar company in ESP. We are looking forward to preparing some nice events and artist collaborations together", Sylvain says. "I was endorsed by ESP when Dirk and I were playing in a band together back in the '90s. I always loved their guitars, so it feels natural for Savage Lands to connect with my instrumental roots!"

To ring in their new partnership, Savage Lands are giving away their very own custom ESP EC Series Guitar. Painted forest green and carved with the Army of the Trees logo, this guitar is the only one of its kind.

For a chance to win this exclusive merch item, purchase a ticket for HellRaffle 2025. Savage Lands will use 100% of the money collected from this raffle to finance another land acquisition like the one they recently purchased in Touraine, France.

DIAMOND DOGS & CHRIS SPEDDING Release New Music Video for "Great Gosh A’ Mighty"

Today, DIAMOND DOGS & CHRIS SPEDDING proudly share their new music video for “Great Gosh A’ Mighty,” taken from their new album 'Macon Georgia Giant,' out now via Sound Pollution.

“Great Gosh A’ Mighty” marks the band’s first video following their recent trip to the U.S., where they were invited by the city council of Macon, Georgia. During their stay, DIAMOND DOGS performed an exclusive show for locals at the city’s grand amphitheater, connected with friends and relatives of Little Richard, Otis Redding, and The Allman Brothers, and recorded new original material at the legendary Capricorn Studios.

The “Great Gosh A’ Mighty” music video, available below, stands as a heartfelt declaration of love to the one and only Little Richard.

Watch the Music Video for "Great Gosh A’ Mighty" Below:

DIAMOND DOGS may be a bunch of renaissance rockers deeply rooted in the early 70s British rock and roll, but just like their forerunners, they owe almost everything to Little Richard, the architect of it all! It's impossible to even imagine rock and roll without him.

One of DIAMOND DOGS' early tunes is called "Lunatic Eye-Rolling Delivery" which is a line nicked from a concert review of Little Richard, and we believe it sums up the essence of his greatness pretty well. He was much more than a rock pioneer, the way he dressed up and spoke was something the world had never experienced before.

Little Richard got Paul McCartney to write "I Saw Her Standing There," got James Browna new haircut, and put a silly little mustache on Prince!

The idea of recording a homage to the true king of rock and roll had been with the band for many years, when CHRIS SPEDDING one day called Sulo and asked if they should record something together. Of course, Sulo immediately said yes, and then asked him to join DIAMOND DOGS in the upcoming studio session to record some well-selected Little Richard gems for an LP. All said and done, and CHRIS was extra thrilled that his favorite, "Send Me Some Lovin,'' was among the songs that were picked.

And, on a cold and windy January day, the DOGS gathered with the new old puppy in the sweet premises of Dog Pound Studios, along with their beloved friend and engineer Jonas Åhlén.

The result is a breathtaking and beautiful homage to the king, Little Richard. 'Macon Georgia Giant', ladies and gentlemen – prepare to get your socks rocked.

CROP (Grunge, Doom) - S.S.R.I

In the undercurrent of Lexington, KY’s heavy music scene, few bands hit as viscerally as CROP. Since forming in 2020, this four-piece—Marc Phillips (vocals), Zach Hunter (guitar), Braun Dabney (bass), and Andrew Beauvier (drums)—has crafted a sound that feels both dangerously raw and unflinchingly refined, grounded in the crushing gravity of 90s grunge but stretched into something darker, doomier, and entirely their own.

Their upcoming release, S.S.R.I, out August 22nd, 2025 via Third House Communications, is not just a sophomore album—it’s a psychological unearthing. Across 34 minutes and 46 seconds, CROP spirals through the internal wreckage of grief, acceptance, self-sabotage, and survival, wrapped in distortion thick enough to suffocate and lyrics sharp enough to bleed. The record opens with the instrumental “Flatline,” a bleak curtain rising on what feels like the soundtrack to a personal apocalypse. It quickly plunges into “Formaldehyde,” a brutal retelling of witnessing someone’s decline into suicide. Though written about another person, the song’s crushing weight comes from how that loss imprinted itself on the narrator. “We barely impacted each other in life,” Marc Phillips says, “but in death, he left a mark that felt deeper than final.”

From there, S.S.R.I never lets up. “Goddamn” captures the exhausting rhythm of living on a cycle of hope and collapse—a furious, almost desperate search for something real in the chaos. On “10-56,” the theme turns inward. It’s a song about getting what you always thought you wanted, only to feel it destroy you from the inside. “It’s everything I needed,” Phillips explains, “and that made it worse.”

But it’s “Alone” that feels like the album’s emotional core. Rooted in the moment of a breakup, it’s less about heartbreak and more about clarity—the realization that sometimes the loneliness you feel with someone is more suffocating than the loneliness without. In that recognition, there’s peace, but it’s the kind of peace that leaves scars.

The band returns to instrumentals with “Breath,” offering a sliver of space before the final blow. The closer, “Break,” is both an anthem and an epitaph—an existential gut-punch that challenges the very idea of what it means to pursue a dream that might be killing you. “Life isn’t supposed to be safe,” the band insists. “Find what you love and let it kill you.”

Produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Jason Groves, S.S.R.I is a wholly realized vision—uncompromising, loud, and emotionally devastating. The artwork, created by Josh Flowers, reflects the stark internal landscape the album traverses: raw, unfiltered, and impossible to ignore.

CROP has been making noise far beyond their Kentucky roots, with appearances at Ohio Doomed and Stoned, Maryland Doomfest, LegalizeLex, Magbar Musicfest, Holler of Doom, and RPM Fest. They’ve toured alongside HASHSTRONAUT, HORSEBURNER, TEMPLE OF THE FUZZ WITCH, and SHI, and shared stages with genre-defining acts like WEEDEATER, CONAN, REZN, BONGZILLA, and more. It’s no surprise LEO Weekly hailed them as “one of Kentucky’s best metal bands,” or that Riff Zealot called their music “a beautiful cacophony of pleasure and pain.”

As S.S.R.I prepares to launch, CROP will hit the road again with shows stretching from Asheville to Baltimore, culminating in a homecoming album release show in Lexington on September 5th at Al’s Bar.

To hear CROP is to feel something uncomfortably human—something bruised and bleeding, but still standing.

DIY Punk Rock Band KEDDIES RESORT Releases New Single "Duffel Bags" + Music Video — Out Now via Sweatband Records

Today, Portland’s punk rock outfit KEDDIES RESORT are excited to release their new single, “Duffel Bags,” a gritty, high-energy track that captures the band’s raw DIY spirit. Known for their fusion of punk rock intensity and power pop hooks, KEDDIES RESORT delivers another dose of angst and rebellion, wrapped in their signature lo-fi sound.

“Duffel Bags” furthers the band’s exploration of the absurdities of modern life, channeling frustration and urgency through distorted guitars, driving rhythms, and a sharp-edged vocal delivery — all while building anticipation for their upcoming album, 'American Spirit,' out July 4th via Sweatband Records.

The band comments on the new single:

"This song is about a dude who goes soul searching off the Oregon coast. He’s parked at a viewpoint daydreaming of things he wishes he could see/do in real life. 'Duffel bags of cash watching airplanes crash.' This song is the beginning of his plots for destruction against his workplace.”

Watch the Music Video for "Duffel Bags" Below:

KEDDIES RESORT is a three piece explosion with a catalogue consisting of 4 EP’s and 2 albums titled 'Makita' and 'KYST.'

Since their first show on April 2nd of 2022 they’ve quickly climbed the ranks in the Portland music scene gaining popularity and solidifying a strong fan base. The power trio punches above its weight, with a striking mix of Alt-rock, punk, and harmonic pop sensibilities.

Their stage antics have gained the band major notoriety in the all ages scene landing them the title “Portlands most infamous band.” When they’re not inducing indoor crowd tornadoes, you can find them playing generator shows under bridges and in the basements and garages that have been served as the backbone of underground youth culture in Portland for years.

Their upcoming album, 'American Spirit,' delivers sweet, fuzzed-out power pop packed with infectious hooks and raw energy. KEDDIES RESORT captures the spirit of Portland’s youth and counter culture with a sound that’s as vibrant and unfiltered as it is unforgettable. A blast of pure DIY exhilaration on wax.

Legendary bassist Jah Wobble announces 'Dub Volume 1' album via Dimple Discs, sharing 'Tyson Dub Mix'

Legendary bass player and vocalist Jah Wobble presents 'Tyson Dub Remix', a song dedicated to his dear departed Staffordshire bull terrier. This heralds his new exclusive dub album ‘Dub Volume 1', a solo effort that sees him write, play and arrange everything. The album features full-colour outer and inner sleeves based on paintings by Wobble himself, with the Limited Edition vinyl edition being clear with yellow and red colours dropped in to reflect the artwork.

‘Dub Volume 1' marks Wobble's first solo release via Peckham-based label Dimple Discs, although he had earlier participated in other collaborative releases put out by the label with Telefís (Cathal Coughlan and Jacknife Lee), and also The Ukrainians, along with former Siouxsie & The Banshees and Specimen member Jon Klein.

Expertly mastered by Anthony Chapman (Collapsed Lung) and cut to achieve maximum clarity and volume, this record boasts astounding top layer sonics, This solo deep dive into dub is guided by the influence of sonic pioneers like Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and King Tubby, the result being a rich, immersive listen, full of low-end weight and intricately layered textures.

"Tyson was a very stalwart, typical staffy and very, very resolute. Yeah, he was, the governor, but full of love, full of fun. And he was a rescue dog. We got him from Battersea Dogs Home, and we knew who we wanted. We'd seen him online. I said, "He's—" and they said, "Well, nice. He's not dangerous or anything, but he's just absolutely sort of delinquent, you know, like you have to be. You have to be a very experienced dog handler." But we held out and held out. We were there all day. I had an Uber waiting, we were coming back up north—me, the missus, and me boys. And in the end we got him. My missus and her dad used to just get strays off the street in Liverpool. You don't really have stray dogs now, but he used to love strays —and he loved Tyson, you know. So that swung it," says Jah Wobble.

"I'd walk 10–12 miles some days up the hills, and he'd come with me. He's the family dog, but he was just with me all the time, you know. When I went on tour he couldn't wait for me to get back. He was lovely. So he had a serious kidney thing. And then a year later, he got sick again. Staffies are so tough. So it turned out he was riddled with cancer. Within a week or two, he had to get put down. And when he had to go, he just went to sleep in my lap. So that was it."

Known for an original rock / reggae hybrid of his own, forged through a deep embrace with reggae, punk, world music and a DIY ethos, Jah Wobble's heavy, hypnotic bass lines have defined a whole musical era and influenced many musicians for over forty years. Born John Wardle, his career has encapsulated genres from post-punk, dub and world music to experimental rock and electronic music. An original member of Public Image Ltd (PiL) from 1978-80, he made two groundbreaking albums with the band, which included the iconic ‘Metal Box’ (1979). He continues to tour with 'Metal Box in Dub', presented as a two-hour show with Jon Klein.

Wobble launched his solo career even before leaving PiL, forming Invaders of the Heart in 1982 and collaborating with Can's Holger Czukay and Jaki Liebezeit, U2's The Edge and producer François Kevorkian soon after. By the 1990s, he had achieved public notoriety, including chart success and a Mercury Music Prize nomination for his ‘Rising Above Bedlam’ album. After releasing the top-40 album ‘Take Me To God’ and ‘Heaven and Earth' via Island Records, Wardle fled record company constraints, returning to more experimental and non-commercial sounding records.

He was part of the industrial supergroup The Damage Manual, worked with Julie Campbell aka LoneLady on ‘Psychic Life’, and worked with his wife Zi Lan Liao(guzheng player and harpist) on the award-winning album ‘Chinese Dub’, for which they won the Songlines Magazine World Music Award and toured with a large group of Chinese performers.

More recently, he has been playing and recording with Tian Qiyi, formed by his sons Charlie and John Wardle. Debuting in 2023 with the album 'Red Mist', he once again joins them for their stunning sophomore effort 'Songs For Workers', out on June 27.

Available on Bandcamp, 'Tyson Dub Remix' will be available from fine online music platforms on June 13. The ‘Dub Volume 1' album, out on vinyl and CD on July 18, can be pre-ordered via Bandcamp. Jah Wobble continues to tour extensively with Invaders of the Heart, with UK and European dates planned for October and November. Tickets can be obtained at https://jahwobble.com/#live

Heaven Shall Burn Team Up with Old Friend Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage for "Numbered Days" Cover

Following their tradition of covering some of their favorite and most influential tracks featuring members of the original, Heaven Shall Burn are releasing "Numbered Days" (Feat. Jesse Leach of Killswitch Engage).

Check out the visualizer that is accompanying the celebration of the friendship between the bands below

Bonus points for anyone catching the title of one of Heaven Shall Burn's classics in the lyrics.

Heimat will be released on June 27 by the band's long-standing label partner Century Media Records.

The band comments, "Killswitch Engage are THE metalcore band! When we heard 'Numbered Days' for the very first time, it totally blew us away. It was clear that something new was brewing up. No other band has influenced this style of music more and interpreted it better. Just because the guys have been very good friends for many years doesn't mean you can't pay tribute to this great band. We hope the song means as much to you as it does to us!"

Leach further adds, "All of us are honored by Heaven Shall Burn covering 'Numbered Days.' That song truly kicked off an album for us that would change our lives. All these years later to have people still resonate with our music means the world to us. Now to have a band like Heaven Shall Burn cover it 23 years later is really wild! Grateful and very stoked to have been a part of the reshaping of this song and to hear someone else's take on it!"

Make sure to catch Killswitch Engage on their upcoming European tour, because "Numbered Days" isn't the only song from this legendary band that had a lasting impact on modern extreme music.

Another pending question is finally answered: After Heaven Shall Burn had to cancel some shows due to their singer Marcus Bischoff suffering from a severe infection of his vocal chords, the band is happy to announce that Britta Görtz from HIRAES will be filling in. "We have a plan!" says Bischoff. "Britta from HIRAES will fill in for me at the upcoming shows, so tomorrow in Kufstein as well as next weekend! Give her a warm welcome, show her what HSB fans are made of and make the shows something very special in the band's history! We are really looking forward to it! Things are already looking better for me, too! Your Molle and the HSB guys!"

Get well soon and welcome Britta!

"Heimat" = German for "home/homeland/native land" — a term that merely refers to a relationship between people and spaces but has nevertheless always been highly emotionally charged. Often misused, it sometimes causes discomfort, lively discussions, and battles over interpretation.

Guitarist Maik Weichert comments, "Heimat is not meant as the narrow-minded end point in the sense it has been used by agitators and populists, but the starting point for observations and perspectives. The album is about a much wider sense of the term 'Heimat': The homelands for many different people and also about the spiritual home, something that shapes and determines our thoughts and actions."

Heaven Shall Burn took their time with the follow-up to Of Truth And Sacrifice, which reached No. 1 on the Official German Album Charts in 2020. Heimat was produced at the band's own studio, The Dude Ranch, which is run by guitarist Alexander Dietz. As in the past, Danish producer Tue Madsen took care of the mixing and mastering.

The Thuringians enlisted the renowned artist Eliran Kantor for the artwork, who previously crafted the artwork for Of Truth And Sacrifice. The centerpiece of the impressive triptych is a rearing stag — in its roaring variant a classic motif of wildlife painting, the epitome of kitsch and trivial art from the 19th and 20th centuries and interpreted by some as a symbol of patriarchy and capitalist competition, but here placed as a vital allegory of resistance amid an apocalyptic scene. He is flanked by a hunting lynx and a watchful owl, which complete the highly symbolic artwork concept as further elements of the triptych. As with Of Truth And Sacrifice, Heaven Shall Burn worked together with composer, producer and director Sven Helbig and conductor Wilhelm Keitel, this time supported by the Mondëna Quartet and the Ukrainian Sophia Chamber Choir.

HEAVEN SHALL BURN ARE:
Marcus Bischoff — Vocals
Maik Weichert — Guitar
Alexander Dietz — Guitar
Eric Bischoff — Bass
Christian Bass — Drums

NAILED TO OBSCURITY - Release Video For New Single 'Spirit Corrosion'

NAILED TO OBSCURITY are delighted to unveil another single from their upcoming fifth studio album, Generation Of The Void, which will be out on September 5th, 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records. With its captivating chorus, 'Spirit Corrosion' might be the band's most accessible song to date and perfectly underlines the record's nuanced and cinematic approach.

Alongside the single, a music video has been released, which you can watch below.

NAILED TO OBSCURITY commented:
"'Spirit Corrosion’ is one of those songs that hit us hard while writing — emotionally raw, yet powerful and strangely uplifting. We’re incredibly proud of how it turned out and can’t wait to finally share the song and video with you. It’s got one of the most captivating choruses we’ve ever written, layered with dynamic drumming and a deep sense of atmosphere."

With Generation Of The Void, NAILED TO OBSCURITY have crafted their most mature and expansive album to date. The album reflects the turmoil of the post-pandemic era, the shadows of war in Europe, and the relentless changes affecting all of humanity. Beyond its political and social commentary, the album also dives deep into personal struggles, confronting themes of dark emotions, depression, and fear. Every note, every lyric carries the weight of uncertainty and disillusionment, while no one knows what one will find within the void or beyond.

ABOUT NAILED TO OBSCURITY:

Formed in 2005 by guitarists Jan-Ole Lamberti and Volker Dieken, NAILED TO OBSCURITYstarted their journey as teenagers with an uncompromising vision. They released their independent debut Abyss in 2007, proving their resilience in an industry where many bands fade before they rise. With lineup evolutions in the early days and sonic transformations, the Germans honed their melancholic yet crushing sound, which reached new heights with Opaque (2013) and King Delusion (2017), released via Apostasy Records. These albums marked the first steps from a local underground act to a serious, globally touring band, following the arrival of vocalist Raimund Ennenga in 2012.

By 2018, NAILED TO OBSCURITY had earned a place among the greats, signing with Nuclear Blast and unveiling Black Frost in January 2019, an album that solidified their identity and positioned them on some of the biggest stages in Europe and North America. With bassist Lutz Neemann joining in May 2024, replacing long-time member Carsten Schorn, the current lineup was completed.

In 2022, NAILED TO OBSCURITY released the singles 'Liquid Mourning' and 'Clouded Frame', both of which are featured on Generation Of The Void. These tracks provided a glimpse into the band's evolving sound and set the stage for what was to come.

Now, after years of meticulous crafting and relentless touring, Generation Of The Void emerges as the next chapter—a visceral and evocative testament to the times.

THE CHRIS SLADE TIMELINE Release a Visually Exicting Lyric Video for the Track "Time Flies"

THE CHRIS SLADE TIMELINE released the amazing lyric video for the track "Time Flies" from their new album "Timescape".

You can watch the video below:

Chris Slade discusses the new video and song, "Time Flies, the song and the video was originally envisaged as a sort of sonic experiment. I only had the vaguest idea of a melody, but I knew I wanted the end of the lines to be repeated in echo. I'd demo'd half the song with Mike Clark (keyboards) help before I thought, "This needs a chorus".  The heartbeat etc. and the silences between sections was a very dangerous thing to have in the middle of a song. The inspiration for both song and video came from some meditation experiences both real and imagined. You'd be surprised if you knew which is real and which imagined. I've been doing zen meditation since early 1970s.  70s saw me meditating twice a day for 45mins each sitting, every day.  Even when travelling on tour with Manfred Mann's Earthband all over the world. I've never taken hallucinogenic drugs even while spending all my life, so far, in rock bands."

Chris continues, "The End of the Universe bought in James Cornford on guitar. It comes from the concept of the end of time itself which could be next Wednesday or 115, million, million, centuries away, or, whenever you can make it really.  The stars will literally go out one by one just like The Carpenters predicted."

THE CHRIS SLADE TIMELINE is:

Stevie Gee vocals, Bass
James Cornford guitar, vocals
Mike Clarke Keyboards, guitar, vocals
Chris Slade Drums, vocals

Andy Crosby Bass on Sundance, Vengeance, Questions
Mark Veich Godden was playing bass liveshows for 2022

Chris Slade launched the band ‘THE CHRIS SLADE TIMELINE’ in 2012 to mark 50+ years as a professional rock drummer. For this project, Slade took on phenomenal vocalists STEVE GLASSCOCK and PAUL “BUN” DAVIS with the added stunning musical techniques of guitarist JAMES CORNFORD along with keyboard and guitar player MICHAEL J. CLARK you most certainly have a band to be reckoned with and worthy to mark Slade’s illustrious musical career.

This is a concept for Slade that will include performances from a varied set list from Tom Jones, Manfred Mann’s Earthband, Uriah Heep, The Firm, ASIA, MSG, David Gilmour, Gary Moore along with a fair degree of AC/DC numbers and many surprises to be unwrapped along the way.

"After all these years recording and playing with some of the world’s greatest rock musicians such as Tom Jones, Manfred Mann's Earthband, Gary Moore, Gary Numan, Denny Laine, Jimmy Page, Paul Rodgers, David Gilmour, Uriah Heep, Asia and of course AC/DC

About Chris Slade:
Slade started his career at the age of 16 with Tom Jones before he changed his name to Tom Jones, this included World tours and recording throughout the 60's.

Chris Slade was a founding member of 'Manfred Mann’s Earth Band' in January of 1971. He was to spend seven years with the band, recording eight albums and achieving three UK Top Ten singles in the process: 'Joybringer' (No. 9, October 1973), ‘Blinded By The Light’ (No. 6, September 1976 & a multi million selling #1 in the USA) and ‘Davy’s On The Road Again’ (No.6, June 1978). After 'Earthband' he spent 2 years with 'Uriah Heep.' A Year with Gary Numan and a year with David Gilmour in 1984.

He later teamed up with Jimmy Page, Paul Rodgers and bassist Tony Franklin to form 'The Firm'. They produced two excellent albums for Atlantic in 1985 and 1986 that gave them a few radio hits including 'Radioactive' and 'Satisfaction Guaranteed.'

Then Chris joined Gary Moore, taking over from Cozy Powell just four days before the start of the 1989 ‘After The War’ tour. It was at one of Gary Moore’s gigs in The UK that Malcolm Young saw Chris Slade play. After the tour it was Chris’s intention to put together a band with ex-Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay. But the call from AC/DC scuppered those plans as he was destined to tour and record with them over the course of the next five years, playing on their acclaimed 'Razors Edge' Album, and giving a killer performance on their concert DVD “Live from Donington”.

After his stint with AC/DC Chris joined the prog-rock band 'Asia', who (even with the many personnel changes over the years) had still been managing to churn out some excellent music. Chris recorded with them on their 2000-2004 studio recordings, 'Aura' and 'Silent Nation' , and put forth his 'trademark' energy-filled live performances on all the subsequent tours that ensued over five years in total.

In the 21st Century, for a period of 5 years, Slade played drums for German guitarist Michael Schenker before forming THE CHRIS SLADE TIMELINE in 2012.

Cryptopsy Release Eye-Popping New Single

After 30 years, Cryptopsy are no strangers to the spotlight. Since their ungentle exhumation from the Canadian underground in 1993, the Montreal natives have worn the horned crown as the most vile band in death metal. Their upcoming ninth album and first since winning a JUNO Award embodies the many malicious mutations that have defined their Hall of Fame discography. But while infectious, the latest single from An Insatiable Violence brutally illustrates that society's viral takeover isn't all it's cracked up to be.

"'Dead Eyes Replete' is one of the most brutal songs on our new album", vocalist Matt McGachy says. "It reaches into the depths of the sordid world of YouTube child stars and how parents rob them of their youth and innocence all in the name of greed".

Watch the lyric video for "Dead Eyes Replete" below:

The concept for Cryptopsy's upcoming new album appeared to vocalist Matt McGachy in an eerily prescient dream. But the latest single from An Insatiable Violence was inspired by the real life horrors of kidfluencing. "Nurture the chosen one", McGachy barks, opening "Dead Eyes Replete" with his freshly groomed death growls.

"We've played at least 140 shows since our last album", he says, "and all those reps have helped me deepen and darken my false chord screams".

Just like a doe-eyed YouTuber is pounced upon by wolves waiting hungrily in the comment section, "Dead Eyes Replete" opens in unfiltered, all caps, attack mode. As Christian Donaldson bends his frets like a spotlight operator who's gone haywire, Flo Mounier rolls out carpet-bombing blasts beats with blinding precision. "Since our last album, I've developed new techniques that allow us to go even faster", says Mounier. His controlled chaos is still the force that binds Cryptopsy's bloodlust, though he managed to raise the eyebrows of their in-house producer. Blink and you may miss it, but lurking within the song's stuffed sockets is a trampling fill that resembles another powerhouse.

"I love John Bonham's playing", Mounier says. "I told Chris that we were leaving that part in there. It's the closest we're ever going to come to sounding like Led Zeppelin".

During death metal's initial spike in popularity, Cryptopsy quickly staked their claim as the scene's most brutal band of technicians. They never stop knifing between surgical tempo changes and filthy hooks, but An Insatiable Violence gouges deeper into the lascivious grooves that won them last year's Canadian Grammy for best Metal/Hard Music Album. "Beware the spotlight" McGachy flashes with his signature bat-like shriek just before bassist Oli Pinnard slams "Dead Eyes Replete" shut with a career-best breakdown.

The video for "Dead Eyes Replete" was created by B2crea.

In the wake of spreading bloodshed all over Europe with Decapitated, Cryptopsy are now fiending to feast on the new cuts from An Insatiable Violence with their ravenous fans across the U.S.

This fall, the band are joining brutal technical death metal pharaohs Nile on a 25-date tour of the East Coast, Midwest and Pacific Northwest. Joining them on this run are The Last Ten Seconds of Life and Cognitive.

"We are so excited to bring An Insatiable Violence to the United States. It's a pleasure to tour amongst friends and this lineup is incredibly stacked!", Cryptopsy says. "Our new album was written for a live setting. The songs are more brutal and grooving so that people can really latch on and bang their heads".

Cryptopsy's setlist for this tour will pull from the band's latest albums while mixing in revered classics.

ELECTROMANCY Unleashes Queer-Driven Black/Doom/Death Manifesto with Visions of Utopia

ELECTROMANCY, genre-warping, queer-driven force in extreme metal’s darkest realms, is excited to announce their new album, Visions of Utopia, out September 10th, 2025. The album is about composer, Steph Tranovich, and their journey of chronic illness. With themes of grief and healing, queer resilience and identity, technology and adaptation, and hope, healing and utopia this album serves as an inspiration, especially to those queer, disabled, or politically progressive, to going when times get tough.

Their first single, "Utopic Visions" is out now. A defiant invocation of hope amid hardship, the track confronts the realities of chronic illness and societal despair while daring to imagine a brighter future. Composer and vocalist Steph Tranovich calls it “a spell to summon Utopia, or as close to it as we can reasonably get.”

Musically, the song delivers a powerful blend of crushing low-end guitars, piercing highs, and swirling synths that build a hypnotic atmosphere, punctuated by glitch effects and Shaun Gallagher’s commanding, razor-sharp vocals. With its dense textures and emotional clarity, “Utopic Visions” captures the heart of ELECTROMANCY’s sonic alchemy—turning pain into purpose, distortion into resolve.

About ELECTROMANCY:

Forged at the intersection of grief, resilience, and radical creativity, ELECTROMANCY is a boundary-defying black/doom/death metal duo from the Bay Area blending blistering sonic chaos with DIY robotics and raw human emotion. Formed in June 2019 by composer and vocalist Steph Tranovich (they/them), alongside co-vocalist Shaun Gallagher (he/him), ELECTROMANCY uses custom-built robotic instruments as a form of assistive technology—enabling Steph to continue making music despite their chronic illness. Their discography, spanning from the brutal Technopagan to the emotionally complex Visions of Utopia, chronicles Steph’s journey through disability and healing, channeling pain, perseverance, and moments of cathartic joy. With influences like THOU, MESHUGGAH, and LITURGY, the band fuses intricate polyrhythms with avant-garde metal, while exploring themes of queer identity, grief, and radical strength. Their live shows are visceral, theatrical experiences—robot guitars and LED-lit mannequins sharing the stage with two unapologetically human voices. ELECTROMANCY isn’t just for metal fans—it’s for anyone searching for something different, something real, and something powerful.

ELECTROMANCY is:

  • Steph Tranovich (they/them) - composition, robotics, vocals

  • Shaun Gallagher (he/him) - vocals

Blackened Speed Metallers SADISTIC FORCE Release New Single "Strike After Strike"

Today, Austin, Texas-based blackened speed metal unit SADISTIC FORCE unleash their new single, "Strike After Strike," the second track revealed from their upcoming EP, 'Morbid Odyssey,' due out August 22nd. The single arrives alongside a lyric video, available to view below.

"Strike After Strike" features a blistering guest guitar solo from Matteo Von Bewitcher of the satanic speed metal band Bewitcher.

On the new track, SADISTIC FORCE comments:

"'Strike After Strike' is the spiritual successor to 'Strike Of The Iron' off of our debut album. The nonstop intensity of 'Strike After Strike' showcases the development of the SADISTIC FORCE sound. Matteo Von Bewitcher adds his signature guitar sound in a blistering guest guitar solo that meets the barreling barrage of riffs head on."

Matteo Von Bewitcher adds:

“Back in December, Bewitcher played a one-off show in Austin with Sadistic Force. The show went great, and that night James asked me to do a solo on their new record. I got home, knocked it out, sent it over, and they were into it. Later, I ran into Mike on tour, and he told me that track was their Judas Priest 'Painkiller' moment. That hit home, Bewitcher has songs like that too, so it was cool to be part of it. Shout out to the homies—can’t wait to hear the full record and see them hit the road.”

Watch the Lyric Video for "Strike After Strike" Below:

'Morbid Odyssey' is SADISTIC FORCE's most refined and punishing work yet. Mixed and mastered by Noah Buchanan (Nunslaughter, Midnight) at Mercenary Studios, the five-track EP showcases SADISTIC FORCE at their most ferocious and focused. Featuring blistering guest solos from Matteo Von Bewitcher (Bewitcher), Tony Rot, and Mark Pursino (Electrocutioner), the EP stands as a testament to their deep roots in traditional heavy metal, thrash, and extreme metal brutality.

Thematically, 'Morbid Odyssey' plunges into psychedelic necromancy, artistic serial killers, satanic vengeance, and BDSM-driven nightmares, all set to a backdrop of unrelenting speed and power. From the eerie, drug-fueled visions of the title track to the witch-trial revenge fantasy of "Abnormal Cruelties," the EP burns with dark, cinematic storytelling and a razor-sharp edge.

On the new EP, the band comments:

"SADISTIC FORCE isn’t just another modern metal band—we’re a high-octane resurrection of metal’s golden era, dripping with raw energy, virtuoso musicianship, and a commitment to keeping heavy metal loud, fast, and unapologetically sinister. Our upcoming release, 'Morbid Odyssey,' is our most refined and punishing yet."

With 'Morbid Odyssey,' SADISTIC FORCE is setting their sights on domination—and they're ready to take on any label bold enough to unleash their fury on the world.

Pre-Order 'Morbid Odyssey' HERE

Meant to be listened to on 8-track in a '75 Camaro while passing a hash pipe and sipping beer from a pull-tab can, SADISTIC FORCE is the band who will restore the adjective "heavy" to metal music. Emerging from the dark heart of Austin, Texas, they deliver a blistering assault of blackened speed metal infused with old-school heavy metal spirit. Led by James Oliver(guitar/vocals), the band channels the raw intensity of classic acts Judas Priest, Motörhead, and the New Wave of British Heavy Metal while injecting the relentless aggression of extreme metal.

Formed in late 2020, SADISTIC FORCE began as Oliver's vision of unfiltered, high-energy heavy metal-built on speed, attitude, and a horror-infused aesthetic. What started as a solo project quickly evolved into a full-throttle force of nature, as rock'n'roll bassist Mike Gupta and extreme metal powerhouse drummer JP Campo completed the lineup. The result? A band that seamlessly fuses vintage metal riffs, lightning-fast rhythms, and blackened vocals into a sonic onslaught that's as nostalgic as it is modern.

SADISTIC FORCE are:

James Oliver - Guitar/Vocals

Mike Gupta - Bass

JP Campo - Drums

The Estes Method Unveil Their Darkest Track Yet With New Single “I’ve Become”

Rising from the wreckage of raw emotion and creative defiance, THE ESTES METHOD returns with a haunting new single that dares to dig deeper than ever before. “I’ve Become” arrived June 9 — and it’s not just a song, it’s a mirror held up to the self.

Following the incendiary success of their breakout single “Reclaim”, The Estes Method pushes their sonic boundaries once more, crafting a track that is as devastating as it is beautiful.

“I’ve Become” confronts the internal war between self-destruction and the will to survive.

The song explores the physical toll of recklessness and emotional torment—where pain is both a consequence and a catalyst. The song follows the protagonist beginning to break free, and drawing strength from the very blood and suffering that once consumed them. It’s a declaration of resilience: pain won’t win and a stronger self emerges. “I’ve Become” is about transformation through darkness—embracing the scars and feeding the fire, one drop at a time.

Prospect Hill Unleashes Hard-Hitting New Single “Victim”

After roaring back onto the scene with last year’s Catalyst EP,
Boston hard rock band Prospect Hill unleashed their new single “Victim” today
via Oktapus Rights Management / Red 13 Records . This heavy, hard-hitting track channels a nu-metal influence and takes aim at toxic blame culture with unflinching lyrics. “Victim” was produced by Shaun Lichtenstein, Derek Rousseau, and Mark Roberge; co-written by Rousseau, Roberge, Lichtenstein, Zach Gamache, and frontman Edgar Troncoso; and mixed by Lichtenstein.

Heavy Sound, Powerful Message in “Victim”

Blending downtuned guitars, aggressive grooves, and a fresh nu-metal edge, “Victim” stands out as one of Prospect Hill’s most intense and personal songs to date. The track’s confrontational theme targets the toxic blame culture of those who dodge accountability. “‘Victim’ is a call to action for anyone who makes excuses for their problems instead of taking meaningful steps to fix them,” says drummer and co-founder Mark Roberge, voicing the song’s core message. “Too many people are out there playing the victim, and it’s not a good look. The real solution is taking ownership of your struggles and making the necessary changes to rise above
them.” The band’s passion behind these lyrics is palpable, delivering both a sonic punch and a rallying cry for personal responsibility.

Back from Hiatus with New Lineup and Momentum

“Victim” arrives as the latest milestone in Prospect Hill’s triumphant return to the rock scene. After nearly a decade-long hiatus, the band made a powerful comeback in late 2024 with the Catalyst EP—a three-song release that introduced fans to Edgar Troncoso as the band’s new lead vocalist. Troncoso, formerly the group’s bassist, stepped up to the mic and brought a commanding new voice to Prospect Hill’s sound. Longtime guitarists Derek Rousseau and Johnny Roberge, along with drummer Mark Roberge, remain at the core of the lineup. The band celebrated their return with a sold-out EP release show in New England, proving that their fanbase’s enthusiasm is as fierce as ever. Building on their legacy, Prospect Hill boasts an impressive track record from their earlier years. The Boston-based quintet has shared the stage with rock heavyweights like Disturbed, Slipknot, and Breaking Benjamin, earning their stripes on national tours. They also scored a
Billboard-charting single with “Come Alive,” a breakout track that climbed into the Top 50 of the Active Rock charts and became a fan favorite. With the release of “Victim,” Prospect Hill continues a series of new singles leading up to a full-length album due later in 2025 – a clear sign that this comeback is just getting started.
