Extinction A.D. Release New Track "Epidemic Of Mutation" And Official Video (via Unique Leader Records)

Extinction A.D. have released their latest banger "Epidemic Of Mutation" and the official video (via Unique Leader Records). Speaking on today's release, the band commented:

"We always love working in dynamics in a song and Epidemic is us taking that to the extreme. Combining the most ripping of riffs and an ultra hooky chorus while remaining so heavy is what’s really been getting us off on this record. Throwing in some real stompy things and not being afraid of the quieter parts in conjunction with that has been real exciting and expressive with this song.

Lyrically, we’re always on the frustration tip which only matches the music but in 2024 more and more people look past the lyrics element. “Shut up and play!” is more prevalent than reading into what your listening to. The whole world is like that now. The media barely has to lie to us anymore. Three people can read the same synopsis of an event and mold it however they want it to fit their narrative. Some people like to keep that under wraps for fear of alienation despite their world view being based around alienating others. Sometimes I’m so overwhelmed by this that I absorb it and throw my hands up. “What the fuck can I even do about anything? What the fuck can anyone do about anything?!” The mutation of fact becoming alterable narrative is the ultimate epidemic."

Prior to today, the band unleashed "Impervious" featuring the inimitable Matthew Kiichi Heafy of Trivium. Both tracks are taken from the band's forthcoming new full-length 'To The Detested', out on August 16. GAEREA Announce New Album 'Coma'

Gaerea arrived shrouded in mystery. The masked sensations emerged from pandemic limbo with a vision for black metal that was guided not by myths or pagan beliefs but a purging of emotion. Existential dread still pulses through the Portuguese band's blood, but their upcoming fourth album signals a shift in psychology.

With Coma, Gaerea are no longer strictly a black metal band. Instead, they're breaking to the forefront of extreme metal. Though their new album was produced by trusted confidant Miguel Tereso, it broadens the band's signature sound by taking it in two seemingly opposed directions. There are more moments of intense beauty, but they only heighten the ensuing blows.

The world may be as hopeless as the album's lead single declares. But with Coma, Gaerea have returned to prove that they are only the band who can guide us into the darkness.

When Gaerea secretly gave everyone a sneak peek at their new album back in April, they set the world ablaze. Now, with the first official single off Coma, they're ushering in the immediate aftermath. "Hope Shatters" opens with a lone guitar that wails like a siren before a whirl of blast beats sucks the world back into the band's vortex.

"Welcome to the urban abyss", their unnamed vocalist pronounces. "Where dreams turn to rust".

Gaerea aren't afraid to embrace harsh realities. There's clean singing on Coma, but the swarming darkness of "Hope Shatters" is only punctured by cries of agony. Even when the song collapses under its blistering heaviness, the melody hangs perilously in the air, like a swaying chandelier, before it's smashed to pieces by hammering bass and concussive drum fills.

Still, perhaps Gaerea have uncovered a shred of hope from beneath the blackened wreckage. As "Hope Shatters" meets its end, the band push ahead through the ashes with a triumphant, headbanging riff. "Enter the maze through the never-ending haze".

With "Hope Shatters", Gaerea deliver an anthem for our dying era.

To usher in this new era, Gaerea are touring behind Coma later this year. The masked sensations will return to North America in November with Zeal & Ardor and ZETRA.

‘A RISING FORCE’ returns with their 3rd Album titled “Truth” due August 9th, 2024 On Darkstar/Sony/Universal

A Rising Force is an all-original Minnesota rock act that signed their initial record deal with the HighVolMusic Label in December of 2020 in the middle of the covid pandemic. Their debut CD ‘Undertow’ was originally released in May of 2021, and spawned 3 singles including ‘Love and War’, “Crushed” and “Yesterdaze Hell”.

Both “Crushed” and “Yesterdaze Hell” charted in rock radio at #2 and #5 for the entire month of August on internet radio 97 Underground. Unfortunately, the untimely death of their Record Company President and Vice President Bill and Lori Chavis to Covid 19 put the release of their next single and video for the title track “Undertow” on hold, forcing the band to navigate through the legal challenges of retaining full ownership of their assets and rights to their music back.

The band then signed a new 2 Plus album deal with Dark Star Records/SONY/Universal and re-released the first Album, “Undertow” after the first of the year along with the video that has a memorial to their late record company President and friend Bill Chavis. In May 2022, the band released their follow up Album, “Eclipse” and toured briefly in support of Warrant, Kix, Tesla & Firehouse. The song “Believe” spent 8 weeks on the Billboard rock charts.

After a successful run in 2022, the band was thrown a curve ball by their singer, & parted ways with David Reed Watson over “musical differences and direction”.Original bass player Brian Lorenson retired from performing live, and guitarist Billy Schlump joined forces with Legacy of the Loud. Their 2nd drummer Petar Pouki returned to his Led Zeppelin tribute band.

After a few months off, Leni DiMancari Was approached by his good friend Steve Philbrook from Platinum Overdose, to start writing and recording a new album together, with Matt Jacobs on Bass and Michael Scott on drums. On the advice of the label, the band exercised their option album, and decided to call it “A Rising Force” instead of doing it as a solo effort between DiMancari & Philbrook.

The music on this album is incredibly well written and a hard driving effort, that has a very positive message to it. Stand out tracks include the first single, “Thrill of a Lifetime," as well as “Come Alive,” and “Winters Calling."

Over the last 4 years, the band has performed for thousands of fans, capacity crowds and they sold out of the first pressings of the album Undertow and Eclipse, to become one of Darkstar Records best-selling artists. Guitarist Leni DiMancari is part of the ESP artist roster.

The music is guitar-driven commercial hard rock combined with 4-part harmonies, and all fronted by an arena rock lead vocalist.

Irish singer-songwriter Perry Blake, who largely came to fame in France and flourished with a career that brought opportunity throughout Europe, has released his new album 'Death of a Society Girl' via Moochin' About Records . There are nine compositions on offer, including the focus track 'Let's Fall In Love'.

His first music in five years, following the critically acclaimed ‘Songs of Praise’ (5 Stars MOJO), this album also marks 26 years for Blake as a recording artist. Very much of the here and now, this album also offers traces of Perry’s previous heady work - not dissimilar to his French Top-40 eponymous debut album - finding Perry at the height of his powers.

Earlier, Blake released the epic title track 'Death of a Society Girl' featuring British actor Paul McGann, known worldwide for his roles in BBC's 'Doctor Who', 'Withnail & I', 'Empire of the Sun', 'Alien 3' and 'Queen of the Damned'. He also teased the light-filled cinematic single 'Concertina' shortly before the album's release.

Co-written and co-produced with long-term collaborator Graham Murphy (Clannad, Sharon Shannon, Marie Brennan), this album features Blake's hallmark surrealist lyrics and original artwork by Syrian-born artist Helen Abbas.

Known for his delicate, downtempo and beautifully melancholic output and uniquely soothing timbre, he is well known as a collaborator of Françoise Hardy, who sang on 'War in France' (from his album 'Still Life'). He also contributed lyrics for her platinum-selling album 'Tant de belles choses’, having co-written, mixed and produced two songs ('Moments' and 'So Many Things') on this record, together with Marco Sabiuhe. Blake would later release his own versionof the latter track.

Hailing from Sligo county, Perry Blake has been dubbed one of music’s great untapped resources. Polydor UK released his debut album ‘Perry Blake’ in 1998 (with three 'Singles of the Week' on Jo Wiley BBC Radio 1), after which he moved to France. He achieved cult status there and across Europe, releasing a string of critically-acclaimed studio albums, a live album recorded at Cirque Royal Brussels with a full orchestra, as well as the soundtracks for ‘Presque Rien’ and 'Trois Petites Filles'.

He also has a separate collaborative music project with Glenn Garrett and Graham Murphy, called Electro Sensitive Behaviour.

'Death of a Society Girl' is now available exclusively for download via Bandcamp - this edition includes three bonus remixes by UK electronic artists KosmetiQ and Inertia. On July 5, the album will be released on CD and digitally everywhere else, including Apple Music and Spotify.

Iconic Colorado-based postpunk-shoegaze outfit A Shoreline Dream release their eighth album 'Whitelined' on July 19. Ahead of this, they preview the infectious upbeat track 'Hollow Crown', the second collaboration with Ride frontman Mark Gardener from this record.

On 'Whitelined', Gardener, together with founding producer and vocalist Ryan Policky and long-standing collaborator Erik Jeffries, have synergized forces to craft a record where shimmering walls of sound wash of turbulent percussion and swooning vocals to weave an otherworldly sonic reality.

Formed in 2005, A Shoreline Dream has churned out numerous releases under their own label Latenight Weeknight Records, carving a unique path that has produced a treasure trove of music that continues to inspire and captivate listeners.

A Shoreline Dream recently shared the lead single 'Everything Turns' featuring Mark Gardener on vocals, but also as co-writer and co-producer. With three of the album's tracks being collaborations with the Ride frontman, this marks the fifth time the band has worked with UK music legends. Ulrich Schnauss, Engineers, Chapterhouse and Rocket Girl Records have all been a part of the ASD family at one point or another.

Policky and Jeffries first met Gardener at a Ride show in Denver on Policky’s birthday. “Right after seriously one of the best shows in recent memory, we threw around the idea of collaborating” says Ryan Policky. They worked together for the remainder of 2023, wrapping things up near the one-year mark. “It was such an amazing collab. Mark was super open stylistically and the ideas flowed. I think we created something neither of us were fully expecting.”

The idea of every beautiful thing having a completely alternate reality is a driving force behind the words and stories on the album. The music and dynamics were all created on the fly, with only about 60% of what was recorded making the final cut. “The flow was super important and we finally landed on a set of songs we feel represent so much of the current A Shoreline Dream vibe,” says Policky.

Gardener shares, “It was great and one of those life-fate meant-to-be chances to connect with Ryan and A Shoreline Dream. Ryan sent a good few tracks through to me from Denver to my Ox4 Sound Studio in Oxfordshire and the first backing track I totally connected with was to become 'Everything Turns'. Lyrically, it’s a reflection on how technology is taking over and, the more connected we get with it, the more alone we can find ourselves in the real World. The backing track was special and the chemistry really happened with this track. It was a joy to ride these sonic waves with Ryan throughout the whole creative process. IN the end “Everything Turns!"

'Whitelined' will be the first A Shoreline Drive album released as a vinyl LP, fittingly on 180-gram white vinyl. Mark Kramer (Urge Overkill, Bongwater, Shimmy Records) oversaw mastering and the record's preparation for direct-to-vinyl production. The album art is based off a photo taken by Policky at Yellowstone in 2008, and re-worked into an oil on photo on canvas.

Refining their sound since their 2014 album 'The Silent Sunrise', A Shoreline Dream has been constantly reinventing themselves. 2020's 'Melting' found Policky gain creative strength and determination from events around him and abroad to create the most refined and heartfelt music ASD has ever produced. In 2022 brought their sixth album, the critically acclaimed 'Loveblind'.

On July 19, the album will be released as a limited edition on 180g white vinyland digitally everywhere, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, where 'Everything Turns' can already be downloaded.

Morgan Wallen: 'One Night At A Time 2024' @ Neyland Stadium, Sunday, Sept. 22

It’s no secret that 11-time Billboard Music Award-winner Morgan Wallen has remained loyal to his Tennessee roots throughout his career. Growing up in Sneedville, Tennessee, before moving to Knoxville as a teenager, Wallen’s affinity for the University of Tennessee Vols has inspired hits such as “Tennessee Fan” and “Had Me By Halftime,” while he continues to cheer on his favorite team between tour stops.

Now Wallen, celebrated by Philadelphia Inquirer as a “savvy showman,” is bookending his Pollstar and Billboard-awarded Country Tour of the Year, One Night At A Time, with a show he’s always wanted to headline: Neyland Stadium. Wallen recently returned stateside following his BST Hyde Park London headlining debut alongside openers Riley Green, ERNEST, Ella Langley, Alana Springsteen, Zandi Holup and more. Becoming the largest country concert ever held in the U.K. with over 50,000 attendees, Wallen’s performance left The Times noting “America’s biggest country star charms Hyde Park” as Billboard added Wallen established himself “as a key figure in heightening country music’s global reach.”

While in the U.K., Wallen also released fan-favorite “Lies Lies Lies” after originally recording it at London’s Abbey Road Studios for his digital series Abbey Road Sessions on Dec. 5, 2023. With a portion of every ticket purchased to his live shows benefiting The Morgan Wallen Foundation (MWF), the nonprofit recently donated $100,000 to the community of Jefferson City to improve and renovate two local baseball fields. With $80,000 going toward Roy Harmon Field via the City Parks Department and $20,000 toward New Market Field via Jefferson City Little League, the renovations include new infields, bases, dug outs, press boxes, backstop padding, fencing and more. Singer/Songwriter Katie Kadan Releases New Empowerment Anthem "Without You"

With one of the boldest, brashest, turn-your-day-around vocals in music, you might think singer/songwriter Katie Kadan has always had the self-confident strut her tunes inspire. In fact, her truth is the opposite – but things have turned around.

After enduring the pandemic and moving to Nashville, careful creative growth has led to a brand-new chapter for the emerging star. Her just released new track, “Without You,” is giving fans a first taste of what to expect from her debut EP set for release later this year. Listen to “Without You” HERE. Watch the video below.

Written by Kadan with Thomas “Tawgs” Salter and Johnny Reid who also serves as producer, the song of empowerment asks listeners to let go of the hang ups holding many women back. Pairing a rich swagger and almost-spiritual self-confidence with a propulsive rhythm and stadium-sized vocal, the Chicago-native calls it her “women's anthem” – a much needed message of freedom.

“For women, sometimes our relationships hold us back,” Kadan explains. “You feel like you have to be that sweet little lovely lady in the background. And with this song, it's like, ‘Hey, I'm going to move forward. You can come along with me on this journey, or not, but I'm going to keep on going.’”

A classically-inspired soul diva for a brand-new age, sharing her growth toward self-respect through the empowering joy of music has become Kadan’s calling – her sense of purpose. A born entertainer and the youngest of four in a church-centered, deeply-musical family, it took Kadan her whole life to find her purpose. But now that she has, it seems almost inevitable.

Praising her “big, loud family,” the vocal phenom learned to harmonize as soon as she could talk and delivered her first performance in front of her church congregation at 3 years old. Homeschooled by a songwriting mother who loved the ‘60s folk revival, and with a father who’s taste kept Otis Redding, James Brown and the giants of soul on repeat, music was embedded in Kadan’s daily life – so deep that when she couldn’t concentrate on her studies, the fix was to play some piano and quiet her mind.

Obviously talented, her parents helped a teenaged Kadan join one of Chicago’s top choirs, and they even scraped enough money together to send her to conservatory. But feeling like she had no shot at a career, she dropped out, taking odd jobs and teaching vocal lessons instead. “I was unhappy,” she admits now. “That's not what I wanted to do, but I had no idea how to get into the music business. And honestly, I didn't think I would have a place … because I'm a fat lady.”

Needing some joy in her life, Kadan knew where to turn. She found her way to the female owned and operated Underground Wonder Bar and got herself a life-changing gig. Thrilling local crowds with her dynamic voice – an explosive, all-natural mix of raspy soul and gospel power – she made a point to go her own way, performing original songs right from her first night … and people took notice. A producer from NBC’s The Voice soon got in touch, but still feeling unworthy, Kadan turned them down.

“I didn't want to do it. I thought, it's kind of a sellout,” she says with a laugh. “I was going to go back to school actually, because I was tired of the hustle. I was going to go for psychology, and I'm like, ‘Music to me is the healer. And if I can't be a singer, I’ve got to help people in a different way.’”

Eventually, though, Kadan changed her mind. Determined to give herself just one chance – and feeling like she had nothing to lose – she showed up for The Voice and stood out immediately, taking third place on Season 17 in 2019. Impressing judges and fans alike with her big style, big voice, and ability to leave her heart on the stage each night, Kadan’s joyful personality and clear comfort in her own skin tore through countless stereotypes. She became an inspiration to millions.

Fame On Fire Announce New Album "The Death Card" + Band Shares Live Video of Hit Single "Nightmare (The Devil)"

Fame on Fire — singer Bryan Kuznitz, Blake Saul (guitarist), Paul Spirou(bass), and Alex Roman (drums) — have announced their new album The Death Card. It arrives September 6 on Hopeless Records. Pre-order it here.

The band roared into 2024 with the new single "Nightmare (The Devil)." This venomous track was just the first taste of what the band has been working on and is #15 at Active Rock Radio. "In tarot, 'The Death Card' is about closing one door and stepping into the next," says Kuznitz about the album. "You're killing your past and moving on to the future, which is usually better. The idea started because of this card. We were leaving a lot of mistakes behind and embarking on the next chapter. There's a sense of salvation. For us, this is the new era of Fame on Fire."

The latest single employs all the drama of a classic tragedy. Cinematic keys and hooks live alongside an ominous spoken-word on the bridge: "Dear beloved we are here today in the final resting place to seal their fate."

"It's a Romeo & Juliet-style story," Kuznitz reveals. "The sentiment is 'If I'm going to love you, I'm going to die for it, and I'm okay with that.' With 'The Lovers Card,' you're sacrificing your life to make a relationship work."

Tarot cards might give perspective, soothe the uncertainty of mental health, or simply enable you to make better sense of your life. Fame on Fire use music in much the same way. The Florida quartet process frustrations, fears, and feelings with a malleable musicality, matching emotions to moments of precise hard rock, piano-laden melody, manic electronics, and relatable pop catharsis. The band initially materialized out of South Florida with a distinct and dynamic vision. Since their formation in 2013, Bewitcher has seen their signature “Black Magick Metal” sound go from humble beginnings to new heights of creativity and wild anthemic fervor. Indie occult film under the black rainbow by Flint Michigan's own KING 810 is out now

KING 810 have released their next project, under the black rainbow, an episodic film series accompanied by a soundtrack of the same name. It's available here.

The follow up to 2023's follow my tears is the group's most uniquely ambitious piece of work yet.

David Gunn, Eugene Gill, and familiar cohorts independently funded, wrote, directed, produced, filmed, acted, edited, and distributed under the black rainbow. The band has once again teamed up with producer Josh Schroeder for the writing and recording of the musical portion of the film.

The story unfolds when KING 810 encounter an enchanted instrument belonging to the angelic priest King Melchizedek...

Forget all the shit you’ve heard about KING 810, everything you think you know about them, and especially anything you've read on the internet. The band—David Gunn, Eugene Gill, and various partners-in-crime—gestated in one of America's most forsaken and forgotten cities: Flint, MI. Like a soundtrack to urban apocalypse, their 2014 full-length debut, Memoirs Of A Murderer, introduced a sound equally steeped in bullet-riddled rap, groove-laden nineties metal, sexually charged industrial, and midnight-at-the-crossroads acoustic voodoo. Hellfest Donates 1 Million Euro to Savage Lands

Savage Lands are still buzzing after their performance on the main stage at Hellfest. Today, the musician-run 501(c) 3 non-profit is thrilled to announce that the festival is donating one million Euro to support their ongoing reforestation efforts in Costa Rica and Europe!

"This is a historical move by Hellfest and a great signal to the music industry", says musician-turned-activist Sylvain Demercastel, who founded Savage Lands with Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren. "Such an extraordinarily generous donation from a renowned festival is just another example of the many ways that the metal community supports each other".

Hellfest's donation is just one part of a five-year partnership. Savage Lands will continue to host a booth on the festival grounds. This year, Bill Hudson (I Am Morbid), members of Dimmu Borgir and other metalheads stopped by their booth to learn more about the green zones, nature sanctuaries and other biodiversity preservation projects that they are building in Costa Rica. The non-profit has protected 60,000 square feet of rain forest using 100% of the royalties from their music.

"As a non-profit, we depend on the support of our listeners, other organizations and fellow artists", Sylvain says.

Many of their famous friends showed up to support Savage Lands at Hellfest. Sylvain was backed by familiar faces in Florian Pons (Loco Muerte) and Poun and Etienne Treton (Black Bomb A). Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) and Daniel de Jongh (Textures) joined for their entire set, which kicked off with "The Last Howl", a fitting tribute to the endangered howler monkey. Chloe Trujillio hopped on for the blackened groove of "Black Rock Heart", followed by Silje Wergeland (The Gathering) who sang along to the band's new melancholic single "No Remedy".

Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy) and Sakis Tolis (Rotting Christ) pledged their support via video. So did Maria Franz from Heilung, who are also partnering with Savage Lands. The Nordic collective are donating $1 for every ticket sold on their US tour to support the non-profit's reforestation efforts.

As if that wasn't enough starpower, for their grand finale, Savage Lands brought out Jesper Liveröd (Nasum) Alejandro Montoya (Cultura tres) Billy Graziadei (Biohazard) and Shane Embury (Napalm Death) for a bloody, screaming rendition of "Roots".

"I've known Andreas for such a long time," says Shane Embury. "It was great sharing the stage with him and all of these wonderful musicians. Meeting and becoming friends with Sylvain and the rest of his band was a beautiful experience.

"Making true creative connections like this is so important" Shane continues. "That's a big part of what draws me to Savage Lands. We are connected with every living thing on this planet and their organization is helping to preserve nature's treasures. I'm happy to be a part of such a truly important cause".

Some of the artists who performed with Savage Lands at Hellfest have already committed to working on their upcoming album, which will be released by Season of Mist. In the meantime, Sylvain and Dirk are still looking for more festivals and other prominent members of the metal community to join the army of trees.

"Our goals are attainable" Sylvain says. "By converting the land that we purchase into nature sanctuaries, Savage Lands will help set a precedent for environmental activism. But we must act quickly. Ecosystems are still under attack. If we don't, then there won't be any wildlife left to save".

Just listening to their music helps support Savage Lands. 100% of their song royalties fund the non-profit’s preservation efforts in Costa Rica.

Artists occasionally support causes through donations to organizations. With SAVAGE LANDS, Megadeth drummer Dirk Verbeuren teamed up with his guitar-wielding friend Sylvain Demercastel to create their own US 501(c)3 non-profit.

Savage Lands raises money for reforestation and the creation of sanctuaries free of human destruction in Costa Rica. Using their own royalties, donations and other fundraising efforts, the organization builds nature sanctuaries, establishes green zones and other land preservation projects. They partner with other non-profits, scientists and forest engineers, as well as Decibel Magazine and Season of Mist.
