MARK DALY RELEASES NEW SINGLE “I WANNA BE MORE” – ON TOUR NOW WITH MR. BIG!

Mark Daly is proud to announce the release of his new single, “I Wanna Be More.”The infectious rocker is the debut track from Daly’s upcoming album Devil’s Arms - due for release this spring via One Opportunity Records – and has been a crowd favorite on his current tour in direct support of the rock supergroup Mr. Big.

’I Wanna Be More’ is an incredibly important song to me, and its release comes at the perfect time,” says Daly of the track. “My songwriting has matured a lot over the last few years - I’ve tapped into a much more honest approach, I’m writing from the heart, and I think the raw emotion that so many people can relate to is even more pronounced. This is the first song we’re releasing that was recorded with Brian Virtue, and it takes everything we’ve done before to the next level. To be able to preview it on the road with Mr. Big has been a remarkable experience, and being able to now release it to the world is even more surreal. I couldn’t be prouder of this song, and everything it represents.”

The track goes live on all streaming platforms February 2, and a limited-edition CD pressing of the album is available on tour (see complete dates below). Devil’s Armsis produced by Brian Virtue, best known for his work with Audioslave, Jane’s Addiction, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Deftones, and includes a duet with Dead Sara frontwoman Emily Armstrong.

Devil’s Arms is the follow-up to the maxi-single Drop Dead, which came on the heels of his debut solo EP Nothing to Lose. Daly’s music is gritty, raw and energetic. His post-grunge and classic rock influences combine to create his dynamic signature modern-rock sound.

Mark Daly launched a three-week U.S. tour in January in direct support of Mr. Big.The Irish rocker supports the band throughout the Midwest and Northeast, while also headlining his own shows, including a marquee performance February 8, at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.

Hailing from Cork, Ireland, Daly is no newcomer to American soil, having completed numerous domestic tours with heavyweights including Candlebox, Queensrÿche, and Queensrÿche’s former frontman, Geoff Tate. His current run kicked off Thursday, January 25, with a headlining show at Belle and the Bear, in Cincinnati, OH, and is highlighted by his West Point show, and a New York City performance with Mr. Big on February 6 at Sony Hall.

"As a rock musician from Ireland, it feels surreal to me to be on another incredible tour in the USA,” says Daly. “It blows my mind that I am not only the special guest of a band I grew up listening to – Mr. Big – but we also have our own headline shows in America for the first time. This really is a dream come true.”

Mark was first discovered while performing in his band The Voodoos in Spain. During one of their shows, music manager Brian Message (Radiohead, Nick Cave)was in the crowd and requested that Mark play some original songs. Brian decided to bring the band to London to record their first EP. It was in this defining moment that Mark decided to become a full-time musician and never looked back.

One early highlight in Mark’s career was performing at the MTV EMA Awards with The Voodoos after beating out 10,000+ bands from Europe for the slot. From there, Mark and the band began to tour throughout Europe and the USA. Mark’s first venture as a solo artist hit N0. 1 on the Scottish New Music Charts. Inspired by his son, Noah, the track “Your World” was written for an autism awareness charity.

“I absolutely love everything about being on the road – meeting so many incredible people each night, getting lost in the music on stage. It’s pure magic,” says Daly.

Kenny's BORN Tour Edition; Life-Grabbing Grat "Just To Say We Did"

When Kenny Chesney started gearing up for his first new music in almost four years, the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar wanted to create a project that distilled all the facets of who he is musically. While making the final decisions about what tracks will make the cut, he realized what he does and shares with No Shoes Nation live is as much a piece of his music as anything.

“We decided to do something a little unorthodox, because as I’ve said with my live albums, there is no sweeter sound than hearing No Shoes Nation singing my songs,” Chesney offers. “We are going to create a special Tour Edition of BORN, which will have a few select cuts from 2018 before the world changed, in addition to the album that everyone else will be able to stream or buy in all the usual spaces.”

When BORN hits the streets on its March 29 street date, it will offer much of what’s made Chesney such a singular artist by drawing on high energy, good times, ruminations, ballads and truly unusual songs. But for fans who have bought tickets to this summer’s concerts, as well as members of Chesney’s fan club, there will be an email with a link to purchase BORN with three extra tracks.

There’s the high octane “Living In Fast Forward” recorded at Chesney’s record-setting Nashville Nissan Stadium show. In addition, the digital-only release includes two songs from Chicago’s Soldier Field: “Get Along” and the CMA Award-winning David Lee Murphy duet “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright.”

The only country artist on Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Last 25 Years for the last 15 years, the man the Wall Street Journal called “The King of the Road” brings the feel good and excitement of his stadium shows to his upcoming album. As he explains, “Those songs say so much about who we are, how we try to live and see the world. If I were going to put three songs that match up with everything that’s going to be on this album, these three tracks would be the ones. The road band was smoking, No Shoes Nation was all in – and those songs say so much.”

As “Take Her Home,” the lead track that celebrates taking a risk and finding your life, crests the Top 20, there’s plenty more good music to come. “Just To Say We Did” is another taste of the album. Savory and smart, the percolating midtempo leans in to that embrace-the-moment, take-the-chance reality that’s defined No Shoes Nation.

“What can I say? ‘Just To Say We Did’ sounds like me and my friends growing up, and so many people I’ve met along the way,” Chesney says. “It’s a song where whatever it is, why not? Get out there and live, shoot your shot, do that bucket list thing – just to say you did. When you can boil down how to create real joy into three minutes that feels this good, I want to sing that song.

“And I think this summer when we’re out on the Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour, ‘Just To Say We Did’ is a lot of the energy we live on. Not just my road family, but all those crazy, awesome folks pulling up and tailgating out in the parking lots where No Shoes Nation comes to life every weekend. We picked this song as the next grat track for them, too.”

Anyone who has already purchased tickets to the Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour will receive an email with a link to purchase the special BORN Tour Edition with the extra live tracks, as will people buying tickets going forward. Top tier fan club members will also receive the link to purchase the Tour Edition to recognize their longstanding passion for Chesney, the music and No Shoes Nation.

KittiePIG was born out of a passion for heavy music and a desire to provide alternative beverage options at shows and music festivals.

"I'm so excited for the metal masses to try KittiePIG!," says Lander. BANKS ARCADE RELEASE NEW EP DEATH 2 TOMORROW, FEBRUARY 2 — LISTEN

BAND SHARES NSFW VIDEO FOR "ROULETTE"

The darkest chapter to date for Melbourne's Banks Arcade arrives in full tomorrow in the form of the multifaceted chaos lying in wait on the brand new EP DEATH 2, officially out now via UNFD. Get it here.

Today, the band has released the music video for new single, "Roulette," bringing riotous bounce and dark temptation to the surface.

"Roulette explores the allure of a life chasing thrills," the band shares. "It's a conversation with the devil on your shoulder asking you to risk it all for the next rush."

Watch the "Roulette" video Below;

Devouring and detailing death and disarray alongside vivid metaphors surrounding change, DEATH 2 weaves elements of hip hop, hard rock, industrial, metal and more alongside volatile soundscapes and shattering intimacy. For a band already well-versed in pushing genre boundaries in the heavier realms, Banks Arcade transcend into a whole new era via DEATH 2; and it's an era to watch closely as they gaze into a massive year ahead.

Recently flexing their nuanced creative muscles, with the glossy darkness of "Change" and hip-hop-soaked heaviness with "Worship The Internet," DEATH 2 doesn't simply build on the previously-established Banks Arcade trademark sound; rather, it catapults the band's heady blend of hard rock, electronic and metal into an entirely new sonic stratosphere, with six tracks lying in wait to dazzle.

"DEATH 2 expresses the darkest side of Banks Arcade," the band states about the EP. "It’s the heaviest this band will ever venture and it explores the most chaotic elements from the different genres we enjoy. With each song exploring death and disorder in a different way, it paints a visceral picture that is symbolic of change and the shedding of the bands previous self."

Banks Arcade bring passion and potent execution to their myriad of influences and creative ideas. Formed over a shared love of music with a razor-sharp avant-garde aesthetic, Banks Arcade have had their gaze ever-fixed just beyond the horizon via their flourishing sonic wiles. From their 2018 debut EP Endnote to its 2020 follow up Fever Dreams, the group's head-turning singles like "Sick" and "Drown" have gone on to amass over a million individal streams, while their explosive single "Chosen" was chosen by Ubisoft as the official theme song of the Rainbow Six Siege Oceanic Nationals in 2022.

Releasing their full-length Future Lovers in 2022, an LP initially devised as a concept album that evolved into a vessel of personal self-discovery, Banks Arcade cemented their future-facing trademark style while also turning heads courtesy of their emphatic soundscapes, searing metal and hip-hop additions.

FOLTERKAMMER Shares Behind the Scenes Clip for the Making of the "Anno Domina" Music Video

Operatic black metal rising stars FOLTERKAMMER are now revealing a behind the scenes glimpse at the making of their latest music video for the song "Anno Domina." The song is taken from the band's sophomore full-length, 'Weibermacht,' which is due on April 19, 2024 via Century Media Records! The clip can be found below.

The original music video, which was once again directed by Folterkammer drummer Brendan McGowan, can be found at THIS LOCATION.

'Weibermacht' serves as a counterpart to the band's 2020 debut, 'Die Lederpredigt.' The new record is another searing blend of modern black metal and classical music elements, lending to its Avant Garde sound. The music itself is elevated by frontwoman and vocalist Andromeda Anarchia's dynamic vocal work as she juxtaposes her classical training as an opera singer with her hellfire screams, summoning a maelstrom of ethereal chaos. Pre-orders are now live HERE.

Founded in New York around 2018/2019, Folterkammer, or “Torture Chamber,” is the operatic black metal outfit that is redefining modern music. This ingenious band seamlessly fuses beauty with brutality. A combination of raw passion and technique contributes to the epic nature of Folterkammer’s dark art. Their work is both nostalgic and remarkably fresh. Yes, Folterkammer fuses various musical traditions and genres to craft an unparalleled experience.

Folterkammer is composed of Andromeda Anarchia on vocals, Zachary Ezrin on guitars, Darren Hanson on guitars, Laurent David on bass, and Brendan McGowan on drums. Both Anarchia, who hails from Switzerland, and David, who was born in Paris, divide their time between Europe and Brooklyn. Thus, even though the group can be described as international, Anarchia states: “It took New York to create Folterkammer.” Her project Andromeda Anarchia’s DARKMATTERS acted as the catalyst that brought her to the Big Apple, where she met Ezrin. Many metalheads already know that Anarchia has appeared as a guest on the three most recent albums by Ezrin’s brainchild Imperial Triumphant — a leading avant-garde band that marries extreme metal, jazz, classical components, etc. McGowan has also provided guest vocals for Imperial Triumphant, and Hanson lent his songwriting excellence to their 2012 instrumental track “Scaphism.”

Ezrin, McGowan, and Hanson have a wealth of shared history. These friends attended college together in California, where Hanson and Ezrin studied classical composition. Thus, much of Folterkammer’s orchestration is classically based. Hanson harbors a special love of Baroque music and knows precisely how to expertly wed it with his passion for black metal. Folterkammer was actually conceived when Ezrin proposed that Anarchia collaborate with him on some of Hanson’s material. Ezrin writes killer riffs and more for the band. McGowan was invited to join Folterkammer on Hanson’s wise suggestion. His drums are perhaps the heaviest element keeping one of Folterkammer’s limbs firmly anchored in traditional black metal. McGowan mines inspiration from different generations of acts: He names 1349 and old-school heroes like Blasphemy and Marduk. That said, black metal fans will also be pleased to hear the spirit of the second wave in the aggression of Folterkammer’s tremolo picking, for example.

The exceptionally skilled David, Folterkammer’s newest weapon, truly perfects the group with his golden touch on bass. Whereas the bass is not always as prominent as it could be in the content of many black metal groups, Folterkammer purposely allows David’s bass to shine through. Like his bandmates, David is an avid consumer of several forms of music, and thus creates delightfully eclectic art. He has received both classical and jazz training. This major talent has toured worldwide alongside musicians and bands such as Ibrahim Maalouf, Guillaume Perret & The Electric Epic, Yael Naim, and Shijin. David has done so both as a side man and as a band leader/producer. Anarchia and Ezrin already knew David before asking him to join Folterkammer. After all, David founded the “avant metal-jazz trio” Kilter of which Imperial Triumphant’s Kenny Grohowski is an essential part.

Like the rest of the team, Anarchia contributes to the songwriting process: “I write all of the vocal melodies because I wrote the lyrics. The German language itself always has a certain logic when it comes to melodies, intonation, rhythms, and how to highlight different things.” Yes, in Folterkammer, Anarchia chooses to sing in her philosophically rich native tongue, which is clearly the language of a large portion of the best operas. Anarchia confirms: “In general, as a singer and songwriter, I always try to step across the borders of styles of traditions. I try to reach out for new horizons. I love art songs. I love arias. I love complex compositions, big drama, big theatrical things, though not in a traditional way...” Anarchia compares her voice to a laboratory. She is always testing new possibilities within Folterkammer.

The visionary songstress emphasizes that she and her collaborators treat opera and the greater context of classical music, on the one hand, and black metal, on the other, with equal seriousness: “It requires a lot of work to understand the aesthetics of each world and how to combine them. Everybody is so dedicated to all of the details, and I think that makes it special. We want to build a bridge between these two very different worlds in a completely organic way.” Anarchia continues: “I’m very dedicated to the technical things. I like good solid work. I want to do the metal screams with the same dedication that I did for bel canto.”

Yes, Anarchia is a classically trained dramatic coloratura soprano with an impressive range of four octaves. She has likewise received classical piano and guitar training since the age of five. Her first performance was actually on a church organ when she was ten years old. As a vocalist, Anarchia has worked with various types of music: jazz; different styles of metal, of course; rock; soul; R&B; experimental; and free improvised music. She has even branched out into hip-hop. Folterkammer, however, has become Anarchia’s main vehicle to explore her full register and create the roles she has always wanted to play: “Folterkammer really combines everything I love about music and singing.” Listeners quickly hear that Anarchia’s voice is loud and strong yet agile. Her instrument is as lethally monstrous as it is gorgeous. Anarchia brings all of her grace, charm, savagery, and artful cunning to Folterkammer. This ruthless femme fatale resolutely delivers ethereal clean vocals, harsh vocal attacks, and spoken lines to accomplish her wicked aims.

Given Anarchia’s masterful performances, it seems hard to believe that her collaborations with Imperial Triumphant, which we mentioned above, and her current position at the helm of Folterkammer completely redirected her musical path. Anarchia reflects: “I didn’t expect that I would ever sing in an operatic style again because I tried to leave that world behind me and focused on progressive rock and cabaret instead... All of a sudden, in New York, I was pulled away from the prog rock world into this crazy world of metal jazz, avant-garde extreme metal, and the combination of so many singing styles.” Anarchia shares: “Now, I’m more intrigued by opera than ever.”

Because of their top-notch artistry, Folterkammer has won over many fans, even from within the opera community. For instance, William Berger — an author, lecturer, producer, radio broadcaster, and commentator for the Metropolitan Opera — would become a supporter of the band. He told Woman Around Town: “Andromeda can go between both classical and growling, and dialogue. She’s amazing.” As a result of the progress that Anarchia has made in New York, exciting developments are now underway. After Anarchia expressed the idea that an opera should be composed for metal scream vocalists during a conversation with Laurent David, Kilter wrote La Suspendida. This brave new opera challenges Anarchia to blend different vocal styles as a soloist. La Suspendida focuses on a self-confident female protagonist and is based on a true and very dramatic story about necrophilia. It will premiere in Paris on November 16. Thanks to Anarchia’s recommendation, Berger wrote the libretto for La Suspendida.

Folterkammer’s debut, Die Lederpredigt, or “The Leather Sermon,” unleashed its glorious wrath in 2020. This intoxicating album was influenced by composers like Johann Sebastian Bach and Richard Wagner. Due to the challenges imposed by Covid-19, Folterkammer’s members recorded their contributions separately. Nevertheless, this December offering quickly earned much critical acclaim from the extreme music world. For example, Matt Bacon of Metal Injectionnamed Die Lederpredigt one of his top albums of 2020. Bacon penned: “This is maybe the most technically impressive black metal album of the year.”

Die Lederpredigt stands as a monumental act of rebellion against religion, institutions of authority, blind faith, and so forth. The blasphemous components of this scorcher are heightened by chants implemented in the service of the collective’s overall irreligious purposes. Anarchia decided to narrate Die Lederpredigt from the point of view of a malevolent goddess, who strives to inflict an enormous amount of pain and suffering. In doing so, Anarchia sought to combat the concept of women as nurturers and expose their true fangs, talons, and bloodlust. Anarchia elaborates:

“The album portrays a vicious goddess, a very evil, bad dom. She’s like a devil, but she’s a female power goddess… I didn’t want to write about typical Satanist themes. We don’t have to talk about demons and Satan all the time. These topics have already been covered in a great way many times. Sadly, there are enough real creatures in the world that are really bad. We often portray women as the good and protective ones, but there are also women who are not like this at all. I didn’t want to write about a Maria figure, the holy prototype, good mother kind of person. I wanted to write about a very abusive mother-type goddess.”

This is in keeping with Anarchia’s constant quest to portray strong, often complex, and challenging female characters and empower her audience:

“First and foremost, I always want to create a powerful, crafting, and cunning female character, whether it’s a goddess, a witch, or whatever. Because, for me, as a woman in this world, creating music is also always a feminist statement. I always try to find allies among women and men who are committed to women having (at least) equal rights (or even more)... With the songs of Folterkammer, I would like to encourage all people who identify as women to celebrate our feminine side. I want to use my voice to portray and support women being strong and also to embrace everything that being a woman means — not just the pretty woman with the cute voice and the nice dress, but everything you can imagine. A woman can be everything. I also see that from a singing perspective. I think that a singer can sing everything. In addition, I also want to celebrate men who give themselves to a woman devotedly, submissively, and in trust.”

Folterkammer is currently preparing to unveil their victorious second full-length record, the formidable Weibermacht, which Anarchia translates as “Bitch Power.” Weibermacht is Laurent David’s first effort with Folterkammer. With David’s arrival, Darren Hanson switched from the Bass VI to guitars. On the opening track, “Anno Domina,” Imperial Triumphant’s Steve Blanco lent his expertise on harpsichord as a special guest. Weibermacht is sophisticated; criminally pleasurable; and, despite the chaos it births, beautifully balanced. This groundbreaking gem immediately astonishes listeners with its toxic confidence and superb instrumentation. Brendan McGowan, for example, tells us: “I tried to incorporate war-march effects. I wanted the drums to sound really violent in contrast to the really sweeping classical melodies because Andromeda’s lyrics are so violent. So, I wanted the drums to kind of reflect that.” Meanwhile, Zachary Ezrin and Hanson found muses in the likes of the Baroque composer Henry Purcell.

With her enthusiasm for opera reignited, as noted, Anarchia delved back into her studies of this art form during the pandemic. Thus, Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Strauss inspired her vocal lines for Weibermacht. Anarchia was likewise influenced by Joan Sutherland, the eccentric Nina Hagen, and even the Judas Priest legend Rob Halford. On Weibermacht, Anarchia’s vocal gymnastics remain as sublime as ever. Yet again, her soaring highs, inhuman shrieks, barbarous growls, and so forth induce vertigo. Anarchia hits all of her targets with a sniper’s precision.

Folterkammer’s ambitions here seem quite lofty. All the same, Folterkammer commands audiences to get down on their knees and indulge in the ritual of foot worship in all of its symbolic meaning. Indeed, this brilliant feminist triumph threatens to crush victims under the weight of its pointed stilettos. Folterkammer’s refined poetic lyrics provide much intellectual stimulation while awakening S&M fantasies. The group certainly makes good on their promise: “Wir geben Dir Schmerz!” / “We give you pain.” The grandiose ode to Schadenfreude that is Weibermacht treats willing participants to swordplay and poetry of the whip. In fact, on “Anno Domina,” we hear the cracking of a whip. Yes, throughout this titillating record, Anarchia perfectly plays “Die Göttin, die Mistress, die Domina” / “the goddess, the mistress, the dominatrix.”

The irresistible “Die Unterwerfung,” or “The Submission,” draws from the cautionary tale of the seductress Phyllis and Aristotle. For this track, Anarchia modified the first line from the German song “Frauen sind keine Engel.” She also paraphrased part of the old nursery rhyme “Hoppe Hoppe, Reiter.” In “Algolagnia,” you can hear Anarchia adapt small portions of text from Richard Strauss’ Elektra and Franz von Suppé’s Die schöne Galathee. “Herrin der Schwerter,” or “Mistress of Swords,” serves as a homage to the fabled opera singer and personality Julie d’Aubigny, who was immortalized by the likes of writer Théophile Gautier. One of Anarchia’s singing students, Vincent Van Inferno, actually came up with an expression that she uses in this song. Anarchia chose to end Weibermacht with an English-language number, a bewitching cover of The Velvet Underground’s “Venus in Furs,” a nod to the great Leopold von Sacher-Masoch.

As we already explained, Anarchia morphed into an evil goddess on Die Lederpredigt. One might think that she would have done the same on Weibermacht. However, in order to conquer new territories, Anarchia invented a thrilling new role for herself:

“I still wanted to portray a strong female character, but this time I wanted her to be a good dom, not abusive but responsible. I wanted her to be someone who enjoys, celebrates, and really takes pleasure in men being submissive. She lives for that. She expresses that. She is a playful character, but who knows what she is and what she wants?! I wanted to have a more positive or constructive kind of woman portrayed this time. But, of course, she’s still a dominatrix, you know?! It’s all about pain and kinky things and being in a dominant position as a woman, but the character is a different one. It’s a new story. Yes, I used the time during Covid to come up with that idea. I trained with a pro dominatrix, who is based in London, to really embody the persona and to understand it more before I started writing lyrics. I read tons of books and articles and interviews and watched a lot of material with dominatrixes. I delved into mythology to see where strong women, and even dominatrix kind of women, have been portrayed in oral tradition, literature, paintings, music... I researched stories from the 10th and 12th centuries, ancient Greek mythology, etc. There were so many different stories already. We always think that BDSM is a modern phenomenon, but it traces back much longer.”

Despite Folterkammer’s crushing intensity, it is also of crucial importance to Anarchia to preserve an element of fun, as one can assume from the quote above. She confesses: “I love when something has comedy, when it’s naughty and sassy and witty. That’s also a part of Folterkammer — it takes a lot of humor to combine opera with black metal because they are very much on the opposite ends of the spectrum.”

Thankfully, Weibermacht’s flawless production ensures that listeners will be able to experience all of the nuances of Folterkammer’s complicated work. Zachary Ezrin is credited as Weibermacht’s producer. Much of Weibermacht was recorded in New Jersey at Backroom Studios, which is owned by Kevin Antreassian, a former member of The Dillinger Escape Plan. Additional recording was carried out by Laurent David and Antoine Delecroix. Krallice and Gorgut’s esteemed Colin Marston — a prolific musician, producer, and staple of the New York music scene — mixed Weibermacht. Fred Kevorkian, who has collaborated with the likes of Dream Theater, handled mastering.

The famed Eliran Kantor is responsible for Weibermacht’s cover art. Kantor has been enlisted by everyone from My Dying Bride to Sigh. Along similar lines, Folterkammer's videos are all directed by Brendan McGowan and produced by Vile Luxe Entertainment. As a filmmaker, the highly accomplished McGowan has joined forces with powerhouses, such as Ghost, Mastodon, Mayhem, Cannibal Corpse, Frozen Soul, Imperial Triumphant, and many others. Thus, he brings incredible professionalism and clarity of vision to Folterkammer in this regard as a bonus.

McGowan particularly enjoys incorporating Folterkammer’s juxtaposition of modern and classical components into his videos. He looks forward to continuing to translate the magnificent imagery present in Anarchia’s lyrics into visual art. Indeed, in addition to its theatricality, Folterkammer has a splendid cinematic quality. Fortunately, McGowan and the rest of the Folterkammer team already have new surprises planned.

Necrowretch Streaming New Album

Ten years ago, Necrowretch emerged with the revival of old school death metal. But these French sorcerers have always been branded with the mark of the beast. After pushing their death drive to the extreme on their first album for Season of Mist, the band are back and ready to release their biggest, boldest, most sophisticated and blackest album yet.

Swords of Dajjal comes out this Friday. But you can hear the whole album now by listening to the full album stream.

Listen: Below

Swords of Dajjal is out February 2, 2024.

Pre-order: https://redirect.season-of-mist.com/NecrowretchSwords

Pre-save: https://orcd.co/necrowretchswordsofdajjal

Swords of Dajjal still lays the hammer. Lead single "Numidian Knowledge" churns through a corpse-grinding riff while beating you over the head with non-stop fills from new drummer Nicolas Destroyer. But even though their previous albums were devoted to Satan, this time around, Necrowretch sold their whole soul to the devil. Heck, this album isn't just named after the Islamic Antichrist. That's Dajjal on the cover, staring back at you with those cutting, soulless eyes.

"Ave Ingirozoglezim" Vlad erupts on "Dii Mauri", conjuring riffs that churn and whip with the fury of a sandstorm.

Clearly, Necrowretch still play blindingly fast. But Swords of Dajjal is just as deadly when shifted into a more brooding gear. Where the band used to spend only a few days in the recording studio, they spent three years on this album, sharpening everything from Vlad's signature shriek all the way down to the guitar tones. A molten crunch of reverb opens a fiery pit to hell on "Kasar Al-Kufar", which erupts into a solo that's so memorable, it'll haunt your nightmares.

Vae Victis !

"Debout les morts!" Necrowretch says. "Today marks the release of Swords of Dajjal, our blackest opus to date. It took us many years to craft this unholy manifest, but it will take only seconds to bring you eternal doom ! Listen to it at full volume, stream, share, get it from your local death dealer and enjoy every damn part before you rot in Hell!

Praise for Necrowretch

"Dynamic blackened death metal...embraces melody and blends it with pure savagery" - Teeth of the Divine

"A raw, primitive and relentless sound with absolutely manical percussion and possessed singer Vlad's beastial screams" - Kerrang!

"They charge blastbeats and hurl guitars and the kitchen sink at listeners, and that is almost always certain to attract fans of kvtl metal" - Echoes and Dust

"Speedy, razor-sharp display of blackened death metal mayhem that is as entertaining on a tenth listen as it is on the first" - Heavy Blog is Heavy.

"Filled with enough hate, putrefaction and sorrow to fill a deep inferno of black, deathly abyss" - V13

"They approach their ghoulish task with considerably more gusto (and know-how) than many of their peers" - Pitchfork

Now entering their fifteenth year as a band, France’s Necrowretchare about to open the most ambitious chapter of their career with Swords Of Dajjal, their three-years-in-the-making fifth album.

Initially the sole work of multi-instrument and vision leader Vlad, the band was - for better and for worse - lumped in the ‘old school deathmetal revival’ of the early 10’s. Yet while their debut Putrid Death Sorcery did indeed  bear all the usual suspects of said genre, it nevertheless already had that extra, raw-as-fuck and just plain vicious element that really set them apart from the rest of the pack. Conforming to the norm was never in question and instead of selling out or trying to slow things down, as true misfits as they are, they went the exact opposite direction, first with 2015’sWith Serpents Scourge, only to be vigorously confirmed by its furiousfollow-up, and their first for Season Of Mist, 2017’s Satanic Slavery. To the point where once the touring cycle was over for the latter, Vlad himself felt he had explored this direction as far as he could have and that changes were on the horizon.

“On Satanic Slavery we on purpose took things as far as we could, as our goal was to deliver the most bestial album possible. But once we achieved that goal, I knew we had to take a slightly different if still as uncompromised direction.” Incidentally, that’s when Wenceslas Carrieu from Cadaveric FUMES entered the picture, first as a momentary live session on bass. But when second stringer Kev Desecrator vowed to amicably part way with the band to focus on DESTRÖYER 666, he switched to six-strings and proved to be the valuable songwriting partner Vlad had been looking for since thedeparture of the band original bass player Amphycion in 2015. “Heimmediately came up with lots of ideas and thanks to him, we now have a whole new dynamic: a bit like Sepultura had back in the days in between Max Cavalera and Andreas Kisser, with me focusing now on my vocals and playing rhythm guitars while Wenceslas takes care of all the solos, the starting riffs and the off-the-map bits.

With their fourth album, and first with Wencelas, The Ones From Hell was only one month old when Necrowretch was about to tour Europe with both Kampfar and Taake for three weeks. A tour bus was booked, the set was well-rehearsed, everything was ready and then... disaster struck. “Six days before we were due to play our first show, the whole thing was cancelled. Then COVID hit us and the world was basically shut down. We were numbfor a couple of days but soon realized that the best way to bounce back was to move forward so we instantly started working on new songs.” The result is Swords Of Dajjal by far, their biggest, boldest and most ambitious production ever.

“We spent no less than three years working on the songs, demoeing them and fine-tuning the details and rehearsing them as a three-piece and six weeks in the studio with Francis Caste (Hangman's Chair, REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER, Svart Crown etc.). Prior to that, we used to be a pure product of the underground, with albums done in just a couple of days whom were never 100% satisfied with in the end as we had to rush everything. We’re still very underground, mind you. But this time around, we knew we had to give it all, no matter what. So we started by changing our gear, our sound and our tuning. And once we entered the studio, we forinstance spent a whole day just testing different amps just to get the right sound and crunch we were looking for. I even took some singing lessons to gain more depth and power. In a way, it almost feels like a whole new band.”

The whole record was written on purpose mostly on acoustic twelve-string guitars (“the idea was that if it sounds good and catchy that way, it’d be even better with distortion”) and as a three-piece, “something we hadn’t done in a long time” with their new drummer Nicolas Ferrero, not exactly a newcomer as he’s been playing on and off live with them since 2018. The result is, according to Vlad, “our most black metal record, with splashes of death metal here and there. Whereas on the previous album all tempos were pushed to the extreme, there’s far more variety here to be found. It also gave us free reins to reach a more mystical, Biblical if you will vibe” fed by his experience living in Turkey in the late 10’s. “We choose to focus onthe Dajjal character, basically the antichrist in the Muslim religion. The Coran says that he’ll appear as a false prophet only to bring doom to this world, with an army of demons coming from the east.” Represented on the cover of the album with his double edged sword and bathed in the same kind of reddish and orangey mesmerizing lights one can experience when the sun sets on wind-beaten deserts, all eight songs on the album are prophecies, past and future, where Dajjal plays the leading role.

Now completed on bass by R. Cadaver (former Cadaveric Fumes vocalist) who officially joined once the recording was done after playing as a live session member for the last two years, and armed with their biggest, most complex and intense album of their career, Necrowretch are about to yield their sword of destruction and exterminate everything in sight.

Introducing Livealie — Band Shares "Forget Me Not"

LIVEALIE are an independent four-piece band based out of both New York City and London.

Get acquainted when you watch the video for new single "Forget Me Not" below.

Hoping to redefine what it means to be a metal band, they’ve found a way to make the transatlantic musical and creative process work by forming bonds with one another, collaborating with local visionaries, and engaging in community discussions with fans that need to let their mind's wander — or what the group likes to call "anonymous confessions."

The band is fronted by James Harrison, ex-vocalist of Oceans Ate Alaska, backed by guitarist Andrew Robles, drummer Brandon Lee, and bassist and clean singer Jordan Lee Corman.

Living In The Static is coming: a six-part story, 12-song collection unveils itself to its Disciples this upcoming year (2024). The anticipation sickens us.

Welcome to the cult.

Note: Harrison has issued a lengthy update about his past and present project here.

We were fortunate to work with two actors who have an incredible amount of experience in the genre: Jenna Kannell (Terrifier) and Jess Matney. And a bunch of our listeners came along as extras. We feel that this video is our best work to date, and wanted to release it now to start alongside our SUPERBLOOM headline tour."

Silent Planet have consistently transfixed a diehard fanbase. The group dropped a string of acclaimed albums, including The Night God Slept [2014], Everything Was Sound [2016], When The End Began [2018], and Iridescent[2021]. Album standout "Trilogy" generated 5.3 million Spotify streams to sit alongside their genre-bending triumph "Panic Room" from the 2016 release, currently at 5 million. The guys notably took home "Best Underground Band" at the 2017 Alternative Press Music Awards and toured with the likes of Motionless In White, August Burns Red, Beartooth, and The Contortionist.

Over the course of two years, they recorded what would become SUPERBLOOMin Woodland Hills, CA alongside longtime producer and frequent collaborator Daniel Braunstein. A jarring turn of events split the process into two seasons. Trekking through a Wyoming snowstorm in November 2022, Silent Planet survived a vehicle accident. The van flipped over, leaving the group laying in the wreckage of a bitter Wyoming snowstorm as Garrett was hospitalized with a fractured back and head wound requiring stitches.

"The majority of us were awake when we felt the van start to slide," he says. "We had some time to come to grips with the fact we were about to go down and have a close brush with death. Afterwards, we talked about what to do with the band. We went back into the record with an increased willingness to take risks. It bolstered our confidence to try new things. When the accident happened, it did something to my head, and it fed into the album."

Along the way, they settled on a conceptual framework, expanding the scope of their vision like never before. "I grew up in Northern California," he continues. "There's a strip of the state known as Humboldt County, but it's called the 'Lost Cove.' It's a hotbed for strange and paranormal events like UFO and Big Foot sightings. There's so much we haven't uncovered. It's possible our reality as we know it is not complete. We started telling the tale of a 17-year-old who went missing. It's based on a true story with many details changed. Art dictates reality, and reality dictates art. Making this record was a very strange and mystical process. It's the most magical and inspired moment of our career so far.

Escuela Grind's new EP is out now

Escuela Grind's new EP 'DDEEAATHHMMEETTAALL' is out now.

Recorded with Will Killingsworth, mixed by the GRAMMY-winning Kurt Ballou (High on Fire), and mastered by Nick Townsend (Cheap Trick, Dr. Dre), the EP houses four new songs including the lead cut, "Ball and Chain", and "Meat Magnet", featuring a guest appearance by Napalm Death vocalist Barney Greenway.

Fresh off U.S. spotlight tour dates with Baroness, and the extreme metal legends, Napalm Death, who took the young U.S. band under its proverbial wing in 2023, Escuela Grind is inarguably one of the hungriest young groups in music today. Escuela Grind has engaged in a seemingly unending live gauntlet since the September 2022 release of its LP, 'Memory Theater', relentlessly trekking the globe to bring its eye-opening energy and sound to welcoming music fans the world over.

In sync with the release of 'DDEEAATHHMMEETTAALL', Escuela Grind has kicked off a massive U.S. headlining tour, which launched on January 10. The five-week, 39-city winter trek will criss-cross the country, running through February 17. Support on the Escuela Grind tour is provided by Take Offense, Come Meirda, Slow Pulse, Bonginator, Frog Mallet, and Brat.

SVALBARD - release video for 'To Wilt Beneath The Weight' + touring the UK/Europe in March

Svalbard are proud to release a video for their track 'To Wilt Beneath The Weight', taken from their breathtaking latest studio album The Weight Of The Mask. The track is a combative clincher to the record, acknowledging the dark reality of personal demons and the fight against them. The video beautifully captures Svalbard's highly-charged performance of the track at Cult Of Luna's Beyond The Redshift festival in London last year.

To celebrate the release of The Weight Of The Mask, Svalbard recently announced a UK and European tour for March, with Norwegian psychedelic proggers Enslaved and American metal band Wayfarer

Svalbard's Serena Cherry commented,

"We filmed this live video at The O2 Forum in London, which is the very same place that I saw one of my first ever metal shows! (It was Mudvayne!) The feeling of walking out onto that stage where I have seen so many inspiring metal musicians play was surreal. Truly one of those 'pinch me' moments. To have this wonderful memory of performing at Beyond the Redshift is very special to me, it was one of those awesome festivals where you get to watch and meet so many fantastic artists.

To Wilt Beneath The Weight is about the pressures and sacrifices you make as a touring musician. The lyrics explore the strain it can put on relationships and the challenging times that come with being away so often. This song features my favorite Svalbard lyric, which is "grit your teeth when they've just been broken." Which represents the determination against all odds to keep persevering with your passions.

It also features the lyric I find the most painful, which is: "completely at the mercy of every form of insincerity." Every time I scream that line on stage I choke up because it feels so raw and real."

Watch the 'To Wilt Beneath The Weight' video below.

The Weight Of The Mask is Svalbard’s most devastatingly raw and beautiful work to-date, overflowing with mesmerising performances from Serena Cherry, Liam Phelan,Mark Lilley and Matt Francis, transcending boundaries across shoegaze, post-hardcore, black metal and more. Uncompromising and highly charged, the record spans themes intrinsic to humanity, such as emotional strength and depression, to unrequited love and vulnerability.

The Weight Of The Mask was recorded at The Ranch Production House, UK. The record was produced and mixed by Lewis Johns, with mastering by Grant Berry. Engineering was handled by Lewis Johns, assisted by Matt Janke, with additional editing by Kel Pinchin and Sebastien Sendon.

Svalbard's intention with their music is to make people feel less alone, and to be there for people in their darkest times. The Weight Of The Mask bravely lays out experiences of mental illness and depression, hoping to help destigmatise these topics.

The Weight Of The Mask - tracklist:
01. Faking It
02. Eternal Spirits
03. Defiance
04. November
05. Lights Out
06. How To Swim Down
07. Be My Tomb
08. Pillar In The Sand
09. To Wilt Beneath The Weight

Formed in Bristol UK, Svalbard have released four studio albums, three EPs and several split releases. Whilst refining their distinctive blend of euphoric black metal, post-rock and d-beat, Svalbard have incorporated a few more surprising influences along the way. From soft, mournful singing to progressive guitar leads, it showcases a sensitive dynamic that lends impact to their most crushing moments - of which there are undoubtedly many. There’s no poetry, no ambiguity - just direct, raw honesty as the quartet tackle some very uncomfortable subjects head on. This is heavy in the most evocative sense of the word. The blunt lyrics are equally as important as the music.

Svalbard are:
Vocals/Guitar - Serena Cherry
Vocals/Guitar - Liam Phelan
Drums - Mark Lilley
Bass - Matt Francis

Ray Hawthorne Drops "EMERGENCY" Ft Kellin Quinn & Announces Debut EP "Heartbreak Feels Good In A Place Like This"

Known for his work in North Kingsley with Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down, Ray Hawthorne has officially made his solo debut as the Heartbreak Hero with his latest EP announcement - "Heartbreak Feels Good in a Place Like This" available on February 14, 2024. Fans can pre-save the upcoming EP HERE.

Accompanying the announcement of his debut EP is his first single, "EMERGENCY", which serves as a poignant reflection of Hawthorne's journey battling sobriety, delving into the internal struggles and personal demons he faces daily. Joining forces with none other than the acclaimed Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens, the track sees both emo mavericks intertwine their soul-stirring melodies and haunting lyrics to resonate with raw emotion and showcase their unrivaled authenticity.

Speaking on today's single release, Ray Hawthorne shares:

"Emergency is the culmination of almost 7 years of struggling to maintain my sobriety. There truly is a monster in my cupboard, and a hell inside my head that I have to battle with daily. I’m pumped to be able to include Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens on this song that has such a deep meaning to me. He was able to take the theme of the song and bring it to a higher level, plus the dude is just talented as hell, right? Right."

Lifting the curtain behind the EP announcement, Hawthorne continues:

"The day I have waited so long for is finally here! Everyone (whoever that may be) can listen to my silly emo punky songs. There's a bit of fun on this one, and a bit of a serious undertone as well, but most importantly it’s the kind of music I’ve always wanted to make. My 14 year old self would love this EP, and that's a win in my book. After years of working side by side and recording with so many musicians I grew up listening to and admiring, I’m finally able to step out and make something that’s my own. And that’s kinda cool. Just saying. Next up, I’m gonna invade Ryan Gosling’s life, Saltburn style."

As "EMERGENCY" paves the way, its evident that Ray Hawthorne's debut EP, "Heartbreak Feels Good in a Place Like This" is an exploration of the human experience through the lens of a talented and fearless artist. His authenticity shines in his latest single, as he proves to be an emotional architect, constructing a musical landscape where vulnerability and strength coexist harmoniously. The upcoming EP promises to be a mosaic of sentiments, each track unveiling a different facet of Hawthorne that hasn't been seen in any of his previous projects.

Celebrated for his work as the vocalist of North Kingsley, alongside metal heavyweight Shavo Odadjian, his solo endeavor marks a genre-defying sound that seamlessly weaves elements of pop punk, emo, and alternative rock. Building on the success of North Kingsley, where he has garnered over 2 million Spotify streams, his new solo venture is eagerly anticipated as he fuses genres to further push creative boundaries. As he returns to the spotlight with this chapter, Ray Hawthorne is making the most of his distinctive voice and emotional lyricism, all while becoming everyone's favorite Heartbreak Hero.

Be sure to to stay tuned for more new music from Ray Hawthorne coming very soon.

ABOUT RAY HAWTHORNE

DON’T PANIC! As an eternal emo kid from New Jersey, Ray Hawthorne’s vocal stylings have already amassed millions of streams with his project North Kingsley. Alongside Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down, and Saro from the Apple Store, Ray has collaborated with the likes of RZA, Cypress Hill, Scott Storch and more. Having released music in many different genres, Ray is finally stepping into a style of music he’s always loved, scene shit from high school. That’s right. Get your eyeliner and gauges ready, because he’ll 2-Step his way into your broken heart.

Ponte Del Diavolo Draw Deep Into the Void on New Single

Ponte Del Diavolo are blessed with a taste for the dark arts. These Italians weld doom and black metal into a sleek but towering force that's just as cruel as the infamously steep bridge that medieval peasants has to cross on the way to their home country.

The band teased then danced with the devil on their previous twosingles. Today, they're pulling back the curtain on the more depraved part of their aesthetic.

Watch the bloody and burbling visualizer for "Nocturnal Veil", which was created by Daniele Brancaccio: BELOW

Fire Blades From The Tomb is out February 16, 2024.

"Nocturnal Veil" billows with gloomy clarinet. But the band's new single really shows off their bad side. Cymbals clank like chains through a pitch-black dungeon, while the riffs crack with the patient speed of a whip or the pointed finger of a siren.

"Everything is nothing", Erba Del Diavolo chants, calling you into the void. Her croon is bewitching, beguiling and all-too-inviting.

"Let yourself be carried away by a dark mantra that brings with it images of annihilation", says Ponte Del Diavolo. "Immensity overwhelms us, we are null".

Early praise for Ponte Del Diavolo

"
A rhythm section that sounds like thundering hooves; music that dangerously rings and swirls, like fleeing from something fatal" - No Clean Singing

"What strikes me most about the album is the sheer genre bending ability of this band. One minute, you think that you are listening to Doom Metal, and then turn the screw and another sound materializes" - Metal Temple

PONTE DEL DIAVOLO bridges the gap between two separate worlds.

The Italian band proposes a Doom / Black metal sound with old-school roots, adding a modern and outside the box background. The female voice - with strong dark wave influences - is the lyric corpus of this strongly esoteric project. The solid presence of two bassists creates the massive foundation for the rhythmic guitar, everything marked by a raw and dynamic drumming.

Mystery of Mystery / Secret Live Session marked the quintet’s debut EP. It was recorded live and without editing at Dracma Studio with the producer L’Ossario in their home base of Turin in March 2020. "I" was released on the web by Iopan Records. It was soon followed by their second single, "The Wickedest Woman In the World".

At the end of 2021, Ponte Del Diavolo recorded their second EP, Sancta Menstruis at Deepest Sea Studio in Turin with Danilo Battocchio. The first single,  "The Unborn", arrived in February 2022.

The band's third EP, Ave Scintilla!, was also recorded in Turin. This time around, they reconvened at Dracma Studio with L'Ossario.

Now that they've signed with Season of Mist, Ponte Del Diavolo are ready to release their debut album. Fire Blades From the Tomb  forges classic, cultish doom metal with modern bents of post-punk. Lead single and opening track “Demone” is whipped along by a boiled black bass line and dark-wave induced vocals.

Prepare to cross over into the Italian dark arts.

'Shines On' from Philadelphia's Tulipomania explores themes of light, showcasing their fifth album 'Dreaming of Sleep'

Tulipomania presents 'Shines On', the latest animated audio-visual exploration from the Philadelphia-based art-rock duo in support of their latest album (their fifth to date) 'Dreaming of Sleep', released via Sursumcorda Records

As the album's third single, ‘Shines On’ continues the conceptual viewpoint of the album – embracing contradiction while inviting ambiguity. A light from long ago shines on in this paean to ambiguity, memory, and endurance.

Band membersTom Murray andCheryl Gelovercreated, then modified and manipulated their original footage to produce this animated exploration of light and color. The final animation is composed of thousands of individual collages, augmented by bold swipes of pastel on the distressed and reconfigured surfaces of black paper.

"The song introduces ambiguity in its exploration of the energy of light. Who is the teller of the tale?” asksCheryl Gelover. “We’re pretty pleased about that and we’re really happy with the way that the tuned, chorused background vocals resolved in the overall mix.”

Ever a signal of hope, guidance and fortitude, light appears here in many guises, from flashes of sunlight to the glow emitted by the pre-solid state digital age nixie tube numerical display and on everything reflected and refracted in it. Light scatters on images captured then collaged on torn paper fiber – illuminated again once filmed then viewed.

"Light from a great distance dances and reflects a memory of the past. Moving towards the future, carrying the past with it,” saysTom Murray. "We were able to embed a waltz-timed morse code message in the bridge of the song.”

Earlier, Tulipomania released the singles and accompanying videos for 'Then and Only Then', 'You Had to Be There' and a remix created by UK music legend Martyn Ware (Heaven 17,  The Human League) and Charles Stooke, as featured on WIRE Magazine’s cover-mounted Wiretapper CD.

Over the years, Tulipomania's music has been dubbed cult synth punks, glam-leaning, post-punk, art-rock and muscular chamber pop, but on this album, the duo was heavily immersed in electronic means of creation.

The new 'Dreaming of Sleep' album features cover artwork by Michael Speed, senior designer at Beggars Group London, and involves Executive Producer Howard Thompson, a record industry executive (Elektra, Island, Almo Sounds), renowned for discovering and working with such artists as Adam and the Ants, Billy Bragg, MC5, Mötorhead, PiL, Psychedelic Furs, Robyn Hitchcock, The Sugarcubes and Suicide, among others.

"The music and the animations of this album explore outrage, powerlessness and the knowing kind of sorrow that emerges from those states of mind – often in bursts of absurdity. Being aware of the ridiculous often feels like salvation," says Cheryl Gelover.

Artistic, inventive and gorgeous, Tulipomania's animated music videos have been featured in film festivals worldwide, with several showcasing their latest few videos as an official selection, including the Leeds International Film Festival (UK), StopTrik (Croatia, Poland), AniFilm (Czech Republic), Insomnia (Russia), Malatesta (Italy) and CutOut animation festival (Mexico), as well as earning an Honorable Mention at the Montreal International Animation Film Festival - Animaze and named as finalist af the Amarcort Film Festival in Fellini's hometown.

Tulipomania also created animated music videos - 'Hush' and 'Shock To The Body' - for Cabaret Voltaire founder / frontman Stephen Mallinder in support of his solo album 'tick, tick, tick' (out now via Dais Records).

The 'Dream of Sleep’ album is out now, available digitally from fine music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, where it can also be obtained on CD and vinyl.

Alaina Pamela Unveils Captivating Music Video for “Feel You Here” A Journey Through Heartbreak and Resilience

Alaina Pamela, a rising singer and producer of French-Canadian and West Indian heritage, has released the music video for her single, "Feel You Here." The song, co-written by Alaina Pamela and her husband, Michael Kim-Sheng, is a captivating exploration of the emotions that follow the end of a relationship. The music video is a story about a break-up, where Alaina is coming to terms with the loss of someone and the ghostly feeling that follows. While they are gone, she continues to feel the presence, reminiscing about the good times. However, in the present, she finds herself encapsulated in a cold and digital atmosphere.

"Feel You Here" was the third song ever written by the duo, originating during the Halloween season with Alaina playing Halloween songs for her husband, who was inspired to create the beat for the track. Written directly after their first break-up song, "Can't Be Your Friend," Alaina and Michael crafted a song that captures the essence of feeling alone after a relationship. The music video, directed by Kay Zhang, features cinematography by Eris Zhao and stars actor Cristian Acevedo.

"Feel You Here" is a collaborative effort by the husband-and-wife team, with Michael Kim-Sheng bringing his classical composition background into the mix. The resulting sound combines Alaina's raw talent and unique cultural influences with Michael's rich musical knowledge. As an indie artist, Alaina's debut EP, Depth of My Heart, has collectively garnered nearly 400,000 streams on Spotify. "Feel You Here” was originally part of that EP, which delves into the complex cycle of love, drawing inspiration from Alaina's personal experiences and showcasing her unique blend of musical influences. The EP kicks off with a mesmerizing mix of French and English, setting the stage with the words, "this is a story about a girl in love with love." The cover art vividly reflects the album's concept, with Alaina standing in front of a blazing fire symbolizing passion and intensity.

Alaina Pamela's journey to success is nothing short of extraordinary. Hailing from a small country town in Quebec, she embarked on a courageous move to Montreal, fueled by years of savings and an unwavering passion for music. The path was fraught with challenges, from the uncertainties of job hunting to financial struggles. Fate intervened when Alaina, in her pursuit of meeting new people, matched with a music composer on Tinder. A bowling and karaoke date featuring Alaina's rendition of "Thriller" marked the beginning of a significant chapter. Making their relationship official during a trip to NYC, the couple faced the hardships of the pandemic, losing their jobs in the food industry. With resilience as their guiding force, they made the crucial decision to relocate to California, seeking familial support for survival. Alaina reflects on the initial struggles of adjusting to America, feeling like she was back at square one. However, love prevailed as Alaina and Michael got married, and Alaina ventured into unpaid acting jobs while working part time for her mother-in-law. A turning point came when her mother-in-law recognized Alaina's vocal talent, coinciding with her husband completing his classical album. United in their support, they navigated vocal trainings, recording sessions, and live performances. Alaina's journey, marked by beauty and challenges, has instilled in her a profound sense of purpose and love for her craft. Her story embodies perseverance, dedication, and the pursuit of a true passion. Alaina's unique sound, characterized as "pop mystique," draws inspiration from musical luminaries like Celine Dion, Stromae, and Lata Mangeshkar. Despite the steep battle, Alaina Pamela continues to evolve as an artist, channeling her energy into something she genuinely loves.
