About Opry NextStage
Developed by Opry Entertainment Group and the Grand Ole Opry, Opry NextStage invests in the discovery of new artists with featured original content, Opry performances and support across the brand’s platforms to help tell their stories and expand their audiences. For nearly a century, the Grand Ole Opry has created opportunities for artists throughout the Country music spectrum to make strong connections with fans and fellow artists – on its stages and across its channels – from terrestrial radio to network television to the digital universe and to Circle Network. The Opry has helped launch the careers of countless artists, including Roy Acuff, Garth Brooks, Patsy Cline, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Bill Monroe and Dolly Parton, to name a few. Award-winning group Little Big Town made its very first public appearance as a group on the Opry stage in 1999, and Carrie Underwood cemented a place in Country music with her first Opry appearance less than two weeks after having been named American Idol in 2005. Audiences around the world look to the Opry to showcase the very best in Country music, and it was with this tradition that Opry NextStage was created.

"Absolutely bewitching",
Sonic Perspectives said about their recent US tour. "...a deeply transformative spiritual experience".

"Utterly unique" -
The Arts STL

"Truly one-of-a-kind...a beautiful display of artistic expression" -
Melodic Mag

"In a world where bands get compartmentalized into easily-digestable categories, Heilung goes against the grain" -
Creative Loafing.

Evading all conventional genre tags and the confines of any specific labels, the group aptly self-describes their sound as “amplified history,” emphasizing their ability to connect modern society with the rudiments of humanity’s beginnings through music. HEILUNG once again journeys back in time with its new chapter, ‘Drif;’ however, unlike previous offerings that centered around prehistoric northern Europe, album number three will explore other great rudimentary civilizations outside of Europe.

“All the songs on ‘Drif’ have their own stories,” adds HEILUNG throat singer and one of the band’s three composers, Kai Uwe Faust. Each has its place and sense of belonging, with inspiration not only from Northern Europe, but from the ancient great civilizations,” explains the band. “We took the ancient surrounding advanced civilizations in account, because our ancestral Nordic civilizations did not just pop up, exist and disappear in isolation. Already in the Bronze Age, we found silk on German land that was imported already from the far, far East 3000 years ago. From the Viking age, we found beads that were brought there from present-day Syria high up in the Northern mountains.

“Centrally important concepts, still in extensive use today, like the number Zero and all the mathematical universes deriving from it, the use of iron and the general concept of settling all originate from traditional high civilizations outside the north and still fundamentally changing our ancestor’s world.

“With singing these primordial songs we want to give tribute to these cultures, reconnect to the beginnings and remember that we all, from East to West, from past to present, are connected through the exchange of ideas and inspiring each other.”
Meaning “gathering,” ‘Drif’ serves as more than merely a gateway that bridges history with modern day society, but is also a statement of the strength in unity and togetherness, which will come as no surprise to those who have experienced HEILUNG’s live ritual, in which every ceremony starts with a reminder that “we are all brothers.” “‘Drif’ means ‘gathering,’’ explains HEILUNG. “A throng of people, a horde, a crowd, a pack. In symbiosis with the album title, ‘Drif’ consists of a flock, a collection, a gathering, a collage of songs, that much like little flames were seeking towards each other, to join, to bond, to create, and be greater together.”

While HEILUNG features authentic and archaic instrumentation that ranges from rattles and ritual bells to human bones and throat singing, their captivating brand of music is far from primitive. Producer and founding member Christopher Juul implements subtle electronic elements that elevates the musical atmosphere and provides a more in-depth and layered soundscape.

“This album has very clearly dictated its own path. Our attempts to tame it were repeatedly fruitless, and once we came to this realization, the creative flow surged forward with immense force. So much so that sometimes it felt like the songs wrote themselves,” the band adds.

HEILUNG’s success has been unprecedented, achieving milestones in its few short years of existence that many do not see in a lifetime. The collective already had rapidly been growing a buzz upon the self-release of their first full-length, ‘Ofnir,’ in 2015, but their dizzying upward trajectory really took off from the moment they set foot on the stage at Castlefest in 2017 for the now-legendary debut of their live ritual. Luckily for those who were not fortunate enough to bare witness to this magical event, the full ceremony was captured on film, having since been viewed by tens of millions of fans across the globe.

As HEILUNG trekked across Europe and brought their mystifying experience to new audiences, talk of this new band and their stunning ceremony made way to Season of Mist label owner Michael Berberian, who quickly offered the band a record contract after seeing their undeniable musical impact for himself.

By 2019, HEILUNG launched their second full-length record, ‘Futha,’ which contrasted the masculine and battle-heavy themes of their debut with a feminine counterpart that celebrated fertility and female energy. Upon the first week of the record’s release, it graced the Billboard charts with coveted numbers, debuting at #3 on the Heatseekers Charts and #4 on the Billboard World Music Chart, placing on a total of seven Billboard charts while meeting critical-acclaim from the press on a global scale.

Having already made its way around Europe, HEILUNG announced its first ever North American tour for the start of 2020, which sold out entirely within 72 hours of ticket on-sale. The band later returned to the United States and performed their live ritual for a sold out audience of 10,000 people at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, CO (USA), further solidifying their early legacy status.

By this time, the band’s music started to appear in places outside the confines of music venues, videos, and vinyl. From hit television series like ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Vikings’ to video game giants like ‘Conqueror’s Blade VII: “Wolves of Ragnarök’ and ‘Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II’ to the blockbuster Robert Eggers film ‘The Northman,’ HEILUNG’s music has risen far above the underground and has transcended into a greater world. Even a global pandemic couldn’t slow down HEILUNG’s success; it only strengthened them and gave them the gift of time to complete work on album number three, ‘Drif.’

According to Greek philosopher Pythagoras, three is a divine number, signifying harmony, wisdom, and understanding. He also believed it to be the number of time – past, present, future; birth, life, death; beginning, middle, end. Purposefully or not, ‘Drif’ embodies this philosophy, putting forth a divine work of art that ties together the beginning of civilization with the modern world today. Make no mistake, HEILUNG still does not represent any modern political or religious ideology, but rather delivers a humbling reminder of where we came from. “Remember, we are all brothers. All people, beasts, tree and stone and wind, we all descend from the one great being that was always there, before people lived and named it, before the first seed sprouted.”

KURT DEIMER ANNOUNCES 2024 TOUR DATES WITH TESLA AND RELEASES LYRIC VIDEO FOR SINGLE "DOOM"

Stream/ Download "Doom"

WATCH "Doom" Official Lyric Video below;

Kurt Deimer has released the official lyric video for single "Doom" and has announced tour dates alongside rock legends Tesla.

“'Doom' is a song I wrote for my movie coming soon called Hellbilly Hollow. It’s a feature film and part of a franchise that I created a couple years ago. 'Doom' will be featured as a big single from the movie and soundtrack and I thought it was very appropriate to write 'Doom' for the movie because it exposes the dark side of the horror, and the dark side of heroin addiction, and the problem that it has become in our society. Heroin is just one of the many drug issues we face. By incorporating its dark connotations and themes of what addiction like that can bring and capture the description of that with words and other visual aspects that you might see in a horror film, I felt was very compelling. Blending the darkness of addiction and the darkness of horror, into one song I feel makes it powerful and explosive. I want to touch people in many ways not only in the vehicle of horror movies as a lead track, but also expose people to think about what we can do to help those or help with the issue of heroin addiction. That my friends is 'Doom,''' says Kurt Deimer.

"Doom" is now available on all major streaming platforms.

In a world that seems to be spiraling out of control, Kurt Deimer is a man with a very clear mission: Work Hard, Rock Hard, Play hard and Spread positivity. In fact, his mantra could be summed up: “Take the high road, do the right thing, encourage others.” It sounds like a tall order these days in a world full of warring factions. And it’s an unusual mission for a singer/songwriter vocalist whose music could be described as hard rock, even heavy metal – genres that are not always synonymous with positivity.

Deimer, for his part, describes his work as good old fashioned rock and roll. “And it’s as good a vehicle as any for spreading good vibes” he says. “I’m here to encourage others to treat people with respect, dignity and kindness,” he says. “I’ve been through a lot of things in my life and I try to share that with others and be a beacon of hope for my listeners.”

That positivity and perseverance has paid off for the native of Cincinnati, Ohio. He’s not only launched a movie franchise, Hellbilly Hollow, by filming and starring in a feature length horror film of the same name. He’s also recorded more than two dozen songs with legendary producer Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, James Brown and the Rolling Stones), his management team includes Brian Wheat, manager of TESLA who discovered him while opening for TESLA.

Chris Lord-Alge says he was drawn to Kurt’s originality as an artist. “I saw something completely different in Kurt, and that was the lure for me. He isn’t a typical rock or country artist – I love hearing him talk and narrating a story, and I was drawn to taking those stories and helping turn them into music. He’s a personality, he’s someone you want to talk to.”

Things have not always been positive in Deimer’s world. At age 20, as a young rock vocalist, he found himself in the grips of drug addiction. He later discovered he was using substances to medicate an underlying anxiety condition. At that young age, he quit drugs, got help for his anxiety and never looked back.

He eventually started buying and selling rental properties and used that money to start the first of several successful companies he owns. Despite making his mark in the business world, Deimer didn’t feel ready to settle down and “join the country club and play golf all day” – so at an age when most people start thinking about slowing down, he started to speed up.

Inspired by the artists that helped shape him – Boston, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Marley and AC/DC, to name just a few – he started writing song lyrics.

Inspired by his love of movies and acting roles in films including the 2018 ‘Halloween’ remake – where his character was killed by Michael Myers – and John Travolta’s ‘Trading Paint,’ he started hashing out a movie concept that became his eventual Hellbilly Hollow feature film and franchise.

Deimer has supported Geoff Tate on an expansive cross-country tour that highlighted material from his debut EP, that came out on November 19, 2021, which includes a duet with Tate and a trilogy of music videos directed by Scottish filmmaker Paul Boyd [Sting, Deadmau5, The Cult] that spotlight Deimer’s cinematic vision and charismatic presence. Along with many other supporting shows including TESLA, Drowning Pool and Yngwie Malmsteen all this within the first two years of touring.

For Deimer, the inspiration is to make the world a better place one song at a time, singing about the ills of the 21st century and offering solutions instead of excuses. “When people listen to my music, I want to help them decompress and feel better after a brutal day. That’s what music always did for me, and that’s what we need more of today.”

Black Market Karma and Sonic Boom 'Wisdom Shifter' from 'The Sour Truth feat. Sonic Boom' Out now digitally and on 10" vinyl via Flower Power Records

Psychedelic pop artist Black Market Karma presents 'Wisdom Shifter', the motorik yet lush B-side from 'The Sour Truth feat. Sonic Boom', out now on 10" vinyl and digitally via London boutique label Flower Power Records. Running on supple and subtle lines, showering cascades of shimmering sonics along the way, 'Wisdom Shifter' is the perfect companion to A-side 'The Sour Truth' - a fab collab with iconic Spacemen 3 and Spectrum founder Sonic Boom (aka Pete Kember).

Black Market Karma mastermind Stanley Belton explains, "The Sour Truth release needed a B-Side and I’d had this new song floating around in my skull for a while, called ‘Wisdom Shifter’, which I felt complimented it perfectly, so I recorded it and here we are.

With Kember as co-producer and on synth and percussion, 'The Sour Truth' is a slice of technicolour psych-pop - a trippy, kaleidoscopic and vibrantly nostalgic feel-good track. With cycling Lo-fi guitars, stacked tremolos, shimmering vocals and sugary winding synths, it is laced with lyrics about the pain of cognitive dissonance after loving a version of someone that turned out to be a facade. “Sick and tired of being sick and tired. It was just a mirage that I admired”.

2023 saw Black Market Karma tour with The Black Angels, remix the The Telescopes' 'Leave Nobody Behind', and release their 11th album 'Friends In Noise' featuring Tess Parks, The Underground Youth, Les Big Byrd, Joakim Ahlund, The Confederate Dead and Ruari Meehan following the 'Aped Flair & Hijacked Ideas' LP.

In a world of artists trying to catch attention by being loud and bombastic, complex and knowingly clever, Black Market Karma shows us another way that is beautiful, rewarding and radiates positivity. Black Market Karma colourizes this world with a carousel of jingle jangle, distorted wobble and flavours of psychedelia, fuzzed out tones and thumping grooves.

About this collaboration, Pete Kember explains, "I heard this and I believe it was recorded during one of the lockdowns on Stan’s BMK Instagram page and I loved the vibe and the song. I think it’s a song most of us can relate to... Hearty stuff for a hungry soul. One of my fave things from the strange past few. Was a pleasure to mix. I wish I'd written it".

Pete Kember founded Spacemen 3 with Jason Pierce in 1982 and the band went onto achieve widespread critical acclaim before going their separate was around 1990. Kember has since embarked on further sonic adventures with Spectrum and E.A.R. (Experimental Audio Research) and solo (both as
Sonic Boom and Pete Kember). As a producer, he has also been involved in some quite notable projects involving MGMT, Beach House, Panda Bear and Moon Duo, among others.

'The Sour Truth' and 'Wisdom Shifter' are out now, available everywhere digitally, including
Apple MusicSpotify and Bandcamp. The 10" can also be ordered on swank limited-run transparent vinyl at www.flowerpowerrecords.com

this location

Sleep Token released their third studio album, Take Me Back To Eden, via Spinefarm. Listen
here

The artist also enjoyed a completely sold-out North American tour this past fall.

Last week, the band announced a special performance at the iconic Radio City Music Hall in NYC, set for May 22. The show sold out in 10 minutes.

A completely sold-out show at the famed OVO Wembley Arena is set for December 16.

Additionally, Revolver is celebrating Sleep Token as its Artist of the Year with a special collector's edition. Get it
here.

2023 has been the year of Sleep Token.

Available album tracks, "Chokehold," "The Summoning," "Aqua Regia," "Granite," and "Vore" have collectively amassed over 85 million streams, whilst standout single "The Summoning" has generated some 38.8 million streams alone, causing the track to trend on Twitter and take the #1 song spot on a host of international Spotify viral charts, as well as being selected as a "YouTube Trending Artist On The Rise," featuring on YouTube's homepage, viewed by millions of people every day.

The unprecedented accolades keep rolling in, between the fact that ST has never played a headline show in the UK that didn't sell out, "Aqua Regia" picking up consistent airplay on the Radio One "Future Sounds" show hosted by Clara Amfo, plus huge pop star Demi Lovato sharing Sleep Token's music with her 153 million Instagram followers, Sleep Token consistently smash boundaries that they refused to acknowledge in the first place.

And even though Sleep Token notoriously do not speak to the press (out of necessity, not ego or gimmick), media can't help but write about the phenomenon, reporting on the band's every move; NME note, "Sleep Token offer their fans an entire world to immerse themselves in if they so wish. It's a place of escapism, and the foundation of a huge fan community that's dedicated to studying the band's creativity. While they have the same fervor as any other fandom, there's still a notable difference." Elsewhere, Metal Hammer called them "the most exciting band in metal right now."

DEAD BY WEDNESDAY Drops Post-Apocalyptic Music Video for “Wasteland” & Announces a Special Hometown “Throwback” Show

Metal titans DEAD BY WEDNESDAY (D.B.W.) have unleashed a thrilling new post-apocalyptic music video for their track "Wasteland," a raw and adrenaline-fueled anthem from their latest Capital Conspiracy album, now available worldwide on Mindsnap Music / Combat Records, distributed by Von Artists, Ltd. (The Orchard). Inspired by the desolate yet captivating setting of the Mojave Desert in California, the band crafted this intense song, and coincidentally, some footage was shot at the renowned "Wasteland Weekend" festival, an event synonymous with post-apocalyptic fervor held annually in late September.

What makes this video even more amazing is that DEAD BY WEDNESDAY penned and recorded "Wasteland" before their gripping performance at last year's Wasteland Weekend, adding an extra layer of cosmic connection to the experience. Jessica Spinelli's expert production and cinematography, coupled with Gary Sandler's deft editing, have brought this auditory journey to life visually, capturing the essence of the wasteland realm in vivid detail. Additionally, the inclusion of footage courtesy of Wasteland World amplifies the video's authenticity and immersive quality.

That they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid-80s, but their bluesy, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic, authentic, 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like Bad Company, Grand Funk Railroad, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith.

The ground started shaking in Sacramento, CA, in 1984; gold country that would soon be producing some platinum. They started out as City Kidd, until a suggested name change to TESLA, honoring the eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla who pioneered all things electrical. Their 1986 platinum debut album, Mechanical Resonance, included Top 40 hits “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Little Suzi.” 1989’s double-platinum The Great Radio Controversy included hits “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)” and “Love Song”. Suddenly, TESLA, who had been touring with bands such as Def Leppard and David Lee Roth, earned headlining status. In 1990, TESLA helped reshape the face of modern rock music by stripping down to the Five Man Acoustical Jam, an informal collection of their biggest hits peppered with rock and roll classics by the Beatles, Stones, and others. This album produced their biggest hit single to date, a cover of Five Man Electrical Band’s “Signs.” Other 90s albums from TESLA include platinum selling Psychotic Supper and Bust a Nut. The band continues to record and release material including 9 new albums since 2000.

TESLA’s legacy is alive and well as they continue to record and sellout venues all over the world. As comfortable, rugged, and dependable as your favorite pair of boots, they endure. TESLA is a celebration of the greatest spirits of rock and roll.

FOSCOR Return with "Solitud"

It's been four long years since we've heard from Foscor. The Catalonians released their last album in the fall of 2019. Despite rave reviews, including a 5-star review from Metal Hammer, touring was cut short before the band could even step foot on the open road after COVID-19 shuttered the world into lockdown.

But Foscor have never stopped growing. While their name still means "darkness", the band have shifted out from the shroud of second wave black metal that ushered in their first two albums. Today, they're returning with "Solitud", an unreleased song that drifts deeper into clean vocals and heavy melancholic riffs.

Listen to "Solitud" below

"Solitud" was originally recorded during the sessions for Els Sepulcres Blancs, but the song encapsulates the prevailing loneliness of the pandemic. The chorus crushes you softly with its distorted melody and bottomless bass drones.

"The song itself offers a vital closure", says Foscor. Still, "Solitud" ends on a hopeful note. Gliding above an acrobatic guitar solo, the vocals - sung in the band's native tongue - are clean and light as a feather.

"This song is a proper way to close that album cycle before definitely facing and closing the trilogy initiated in 2017 with Les Irreals Visions. It reminds us the spark to enlighten the future...the one that we have never walked alone. A brand new chant from the past, looking toward a final chapter, surrounded by tragic darkness.

The Catalans return with the second chapter of the trilogy initiated with “Les Irreals Visions” in 2017, yet strongly connected to the fin de siècle cultural movement of Modernisme - a parallel development to Art Nouveau and Jugendstil among others. Visual things must acquire a new secret appearance, and with ‘Els Sepulcres Blancs’ FOSCOR treats poetically how facing a change of a sick world and society through the land of dreams.

The title translates as “The White Tombs”, a metaphor for that world of dreams and expectations where humans chained to reality may die and born free to imagine a better one.

Foscor hail from Catalonia, and take inspiration from the morbid, decadent, and sick reflections on a rapidly changing society, as the artistic landscape at the end of the nineteenth century shaped.

The name Foscor translates as "darkness" in their native Catalan tongue, which the band from Barcelona uses for their lyrics as a distinctive element and strong connection with their cultural reality.

The Catalans’ first two albums, 'Entrance to the Shadows' Village' (2004), 'The Smile of the Sad Ones' (2007) wrapped a shroud of classic second wave black metal around a melancholic yet vital core. 'Groans to the Guilty' (2009) witnessed Foscor setting out towards more progressive and avant-garde course, but it was next full-length 'Those Horrors Wither' (2014) which marked a clear departure from the black metal. Darkness found an equally strong expression through the use of very personal clean vocals, tempo reduction and atmosphere.

In 2017, Foscor took another step in their constantly changing and shifting evolution. The brand new release 'Les Irreals Visions' (2017) was easily drawing its eager audience in, only to lure the unwary listener into a dark labyrinth of unexpected complexity filled with beauty and sorrow. In 2018, Foscor explored these lines between reality, poetry and the beyond even further with a special digital release transforming their own music into a so intimate experience; 'Les Irreals Versions' (2018).

Now, 2019 promises to be as tragic as their music claims with the so sensitive release of 'Els Sepulcres Blancs', its characteristic melancholic sonic aura and catchy riffing intensity. Their most personal and delicate sound achievement to date.

Thunder To Release Two New Live Albums "Live At Leeds" + "Live At Islington"

THUNDER TO LAUNCH TWO PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED  LIVE ALBUMS ON JANUARY 26 VIA EARMUSIC

Among the most popular and enduring British hard rock bands of the past 25 years, Thunder are to launch two previously unreleased live albums on January 26 via earMUSIC.

The first of the pair, Live At Islington Academy, captures the South London based band during the touring cycle of their eighth studio album Robert Johnson's Tombstone. The quintet had already completed a lengthy circuit of the UK in promotion of the record when they were contacted by Planet Rock Radio (UK) about the possibility of performing a set before a live audience at the station’s first annual Christmas Bash. As fun lovers of the most devoted kind, how could Thunder possibly say no?

A mere 800 lucky fans got the opportunity to see Thunder perform at the Planet Rock Christmas Party on December 19, 2006. Hosted by Rob Birnie and Mark Jeeves, the event was a massive success as the band offered up a storming, surprise performance dominated by golden classics such as "River Of Pain," "Low Life In High Places," "You Can't Keep A Good Man Down," "Love Walked In," "Backstreet Symphony," and "I Love You More Than Rock 'N' Roll," followed by a hot, sweaty encore of the hit single "Dirty Love."

"From what I recall, no one in the audience seemed to have a clue that we would attend the party, let alone play, so they were all pretty shocked when we stepped on to the stage," says frontman Danny Bowes. "It was boiling hot inside the venue, and also freezing outside, and we worked them pretty hard. They looked pretty hot and sweaty when it was done. I reckon a fair few of the crowd must have caught colds on the way home."

The second live album, Live At Leeds, was a more official affair, recorded nine years later on March 3, 2015, as part of a three-date arena tour in support of Wonder Days, one of the finest studio records of Thunder's career. In the pages of Classic Rock magazine, the late, great journalist Malcolm Dome declared Wonder Days" a massive reminder that class is both timeless and incandescent."

The resulting tour was shorter than the group's traditional treks as it marked the first steps of public rehabilitation for Ben Matthews, the rhythm guitarist and keyboardist who was in recovery from throat cancer. Unsurprisingly, these shows were emotionally charged for both band and audience.

"My overriding memory of that night at the First Direct Arena in Leeds was mainly the look on Benny's face when the audience reacted to him being back," grins guitarist Luke Morley, who describes a first spell of his band stepping up to headline arenas in their homeland at last as "very satisfying."

A 16-song set delivered a hatful of hits and no less than six numbers from Wonder Days, namely its title cut, "Black Water," "Resurrection Day," "Broken," "The Thing I Want," and "When The Music Played."

Both concerts, Live At Islington Academy and Live At Leeds, stood as further evidence of Thunder's prowess as live entertainers. And now at last you can re-live the experience.

On January 26, both concerts will become available on CD, vinyl, as well as digital download and streaming.

Ashley McBryde Performs "The Devil I Know" on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon"

GRAMMY award winner and Grand Ole Opry member Ashley McBryde performed the title track from her critically acclaimed album The Devil I Know via Warner Music Nashville on NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” yesterday, Thursday, December 7.

“Ashley McBryde writes about the outcasts – the best characters in her songs are downtrodden, stuck and determined as ever. ‘The Devil I Know’ is an anthem for all of them,”
Vulture observes of the only country song on their top 10 “Best Songs of 2023,” while praising “McBryde knows the power of saying just enough — like painting a toxic relationship as ‘suitcase marks on a hardwood floor’ — and when to let everything boil over, which she expresses in a fiery chorus.”

“Arkansas native McBryde has deeply entrenched unflinching, blue-collar honesty as her trademark brand in country music,” boasts
Tennessean, as Variety opines of the album, “the faithful already knew it would be one of the genre’s most satisfying efforts in 2023, even before she actually delivered on that promise with emotional ballads like ‘Light in the Kitchen,’ pure barnburners like ‘Made for This,’ or actual heart-destroyers like ‘Learned to Lie.’”

“The album’s songs are infectious and assured…Lyrically, they’re tighter than a bowline knot, bursting with colorful details,” boasts Garden & Gun, as Holler praises, “Once again weaving together country ditties, rock-tinged rompers and biker-bar riffs, with The Devil I Know, Ashley McBryde has plotted out an all-encompassing journey. The record features arena-sized regrets, a couple of classic country odes and a few bouts of bold and visceral vulnerability.”

As she gears up to close out the U.S. portion of the first leg of The Devil I Know Tour Presented by Ariat among multiple sold-out dates, McBryde will make a triumphant soon-to-be-sold-out return to the U.K. and Ireland at the top of the year. The second leg will kick off February 22 in Charleston, S.C. with tickets available at
AshleyMcBryde.com.

Fans can watch McBryde perform “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” with Lindsey Stirling on CMA Country Christmas airing Thursday, December 14 at 8pm ET on ABC and Friday, December 15 on Hulu and Disney+.

COLIN STOUGH LETS THOUGHTS RUN WILD IN “SLEEP TONIGHT (ACOUSTIC)”

19 Recordings/BMG artist Colin Stough bares a wounded soul in the stripped-down “Sleep Tonight (Acoustic),” sharing a new rendition alongside a performance video today (12/8). Available across all streaming platforms and digital retailers, listen here.

Written by Stough with Sean Thomas Rogers and Brian Congdon, the original version was part of his six-track debut EP,
Promiseland – a crunchy power-confession full of worry over the fragility of life, which helped introduce the new-school Country rocker with a high-voltage vocal.

“I actually started this one as a poem, so a more raw version felt true to where this song came from. I was really hurting after hearing about another death in my life and I just started writing,” shares Stough. “Once I took that poem into the writing room, we got our guitars and started writing, so it really did begin as a guitar-vocal. Stripping back the production lets these lyrics be the focus and makes it hit even harder since this writing is so personal to me.”

“Sleep Tonight (Acoustic)” reveals the man behind the words, peeling back a rough exterior to showcase a deep-feeling artist within, as Stough tones his raspy vocal down to a soft buzz and sings with just an acoustic guitar in support. Produced by Sean Rogers, the reimagined tune ends up highlighting the relatable agony of the young artist’s lyrics, aching over thoughts that run wild each night. Meanwhile, up close-and-personal acoustic performance footage that was filmed and edited by Mike Rodway
captures the internal struggle, as Stough sinks into emotional turmoil – before finding the strength to carry on.

Named among Holler’s New and Upcoming Country and Americana Artists You Need to Know,“Stough’s gravelly rock drawl is equally at home singing grungy Southern rock as it is twangy old school country, and Promiseland is a fitting showcase for every side of a singer who was born to do this.” “Sleep Tonight (Acoustic)” further follows the November release of Stough’s take on “Blue Christmas,” channeling a Rock icon and fellow Mississippi native for a gritty-but-still-tender version of Elvis Presley’s holiday classic.

A series of previous singles have so far racked up more than 9.4 MILLION global on-demand streams, and looking ahead, the promising singer-songwriter will continue to lead his band on stages all around the country. Spending this past year headlining while also supporting artists like Kidd G and Drake White, he’s next on deck with Chase Matthew in 2024. Find upcoming show dates

About Colin Stough:

A 19-year-old Country Rock phenom and native of Gattman, Mississippi, Colin Stough has come a long way in a few short years – and with his debut EP Promiseland, the 19 Recordings/BMG artist is still just getting started. After learning to play guitar at 8 years old, Stough first pursued artistic dreams at 10, boldly trading childhood possessions for his first guitar at a local pawn shop – an instrument he still plays to this day. After graduating high school, the naturally gifted singer and self-taught songwriter began working full-time as an HVAC technician, before his mother convinced him to audition for American Idol. Impressing judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie, Stough stunned viewers and soon built a thriving fan base, finishing third on Season 21 of the show in 2022. He spent the ensuing months writing and recording original music, while also touring nationwide to put his blowtorch vocal and guitar-slinging edge on full display. After signing with 19 Recordings/BMG, his distinctive mix of Southern Rock distortion and pure-Country style have helped tracks like “I Still Talk To Jesus” and “Bad Day” rack up more than 9.4 MILLION global on-demand streams, and in September 2023, Stough released the single “Promiseland,” along with an official music video. The hard-hitting anthem is the title track to Stough’s debut EP, which is out now and puts the emerging artist on track to reach even more dreams in the future. Stough has headlined across the country and opened for established artists like Kidd G and Drake White. Stay tuned for much more to come.

KEEP UP WITH COLIN STOUGH

Ian Munsick's 'White Buffalo: Voices of the West' Documentary Premieres to Intimate Crowd in Las Vegas

Wyoming native Ian Munsick premiered his documentary White Buffalo: Voices of the West, in Las Vegas to an intimate crowd of 150 attendees on Wednesday, Dec. 6. The documentary will be available to the public in early 2024, with more details to come soon.

The film spanned nearly an hour and expanded on the concept of Munsick's sophomore album White Buffalo, with the white buffalo representing a sacred symbol for the plains tribes of Native America, its return signaling prosperity and rebirth. Delving into conversations with Pro Buckin’ Horse producer and entrepreneur from the Blackfoot Tribe, Dougie Hall; rancher, horse trainer and actor from the Crow Tribe, Stephen Yellowtail; and cowgirl from the Blackfeet Nation, Sammy Jo Bird; Munsick explored the modern-day relationship between cowboys, ranchers and Native American tribes, and how they often rely on each other to live off the land out west.

Following the premiere screening, the cast was joined by Cam Mackey, director/cinematographer from the Tohono O'Odham Nation and executive producer Caroline Munsick, for a panel discussion moderated by film, television actor and enrolled member of the Lakota Nations, Mo Brings Plenty. The 30-minute conversation highlighted the importance of sharing Native and Western experiences from those who live them in order to shed an authentic light on the culture.

ABOUT IAN MUNSICK
A native son of Wyoming, Ian Munsick is painting a stampeding, spirited portrait of the American West with his sophomore album White Buffalo, out now. The 18-track album spans unfiltered tales of romance and ranch life, hard-working anthems with honkytonk hooks and mountain-time odes to family and forever-young fun. It builds upon the spacious roots-pop beauty he introduced on his major label debut, Coyote Cry. Over the past three years, the 30-year-old has accumulated over half a BILLION global streams and a host of accolades. He has been named an “Artist to Watch” by Spotify, CMT, Fender, MusicRow and more. A seasoned entertainer, having grown up tending cattle by day and playing music in a family band each night, Munsick toured recently alongside country music superstars Morgan Wallen and Cody Johnson, and will serve as direct support for select dates of Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again tour in 2024. Beyond his noteworthy professional accomplishments, he has also become both a husband and a father. Now the Warner Music Nashville recording artist and multi-instrumentalist is representing his home, and its special cast of people, like never before. The first release from White Buffalo, standout duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson), hit No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown, was named one of Amazon Music’s Best Country Songs of 2022 and recently received RIAA Gold-certification alongside “Long Haul” off his debut album Coyote Cry; while Munsick’s solo version of “Long Live Cowgirls” impacted country radio on Oct. 23. Fans of Ian Munsick will always find an open heart, natural awe and plainspoken honesty as he rides on… bringing the West to the rest.

CHASE WRIGHT Delivers Reflective New Song "Who I Want To Be"

2023 Pandora Artist to Watch CHASE WRIGHT releases “Who I Want To Be,” a vulnerable and reflective song that acts as a progressive apology to a girlfriend whose heart he broke. Listen to “Who I Want To Be” HERE.

“Every day, you’re getting closer to who you want to be, but you’re not there yet,” shares Wright. “I made mistakes in a relationship and really hurt a lot of people. Looking back, I was able to grow so much from it. But it was very difficult, and to be the bad guy in a situation is never easy.

“It’s much easier to talk about somebody else being the bad guy, but it’s different when it’s me,” Wright admits. “I hope people can hear the authenticity, and I hope they can give themselves some grace for a mistake they’ve made.”

Written by Wright alongside Josh Jenkins, Chris Lacorte and Andy Albert, and produced by Ned Cameron, “Who I Want To Be” finds the Indiana native taking responsibility for his mistakes, anchored by a redemptive soaring chorus:

The moments I was weakest ain’t how I’ll be defined
I’m trying to be a better man it’s taken me some time
      But I’m on my way
Tryin’ to close the space between
      Who I am today
And who I want to be

“I'm not hiding behind anything,” Wright says. “I think it's healthy to admit when you’ve made a mistake, that you’re learning from it and trying to be a better person because of it. Our mistakes don’t define us.”

Wright blends progressive loops and pop-rock chords with country storytelling to create a unique style of contemporary country music that has become his calling card. He played more than 60 shows in 2023 and accumulated over 230 million global streams, as “Who I Want To Be” will be added to On The Horizon this weekend on SiriusXM.

About CHASE WRIGHT
CHASE WRIGHT is doing more than make his childhood dreams come true: he’s introducing himself as a bold new Nashville artist with a freewheeling approach to genre, firm footing in relatable storytelling and soft spot for big choruses. Respect for country music’s way around a story without feeling beholden to it defines the Indiana native’s energetic songs, which rely on electric loops and pop-rock chords alongside more traditional sounds made from steel strings and wood. It’s a confident blend that belies the fact that Wright first picked up a guitar as a freshman track star at DePauw University. After graduating with a degree in economics, Wright packed his bags for Nashville, where he has since earned a publishing deal with Toby & Molly Music and signed with Morris Higham for management. 2022 was a breakout year for the rising star who was recognized by Spotify as a Hot Country Artist to Watch and named among SiriusXM’s Highway Finds class. Most recently, Wright was recognized among Pandora’s Artists to Watch 2023: Country list. Following the 2021 release of his debut album Intertwined, Wright continues to roll out new music. In total, fans have streamed his music to the tune of 230 million times.

Osiah Release New Album 'Kairos' via Unique Leader Records

Finishing up a momentous 2023, deathcore quartet Osiah have released their new album 'Kairos' via Unique Leader Records. Accompanying the release, the band shared their new track "The Inherited Sorrow" along with the official music video. 'Kairos' is Osiah's fourth album and the follow-up to their 2021 full-length, 'Loss'. When asked about today's news, the band commented:

"'Kairos' is a true departure from the past with a valiant stride to Osiah's progression. Instrumentally it encapsulates the very essence of us as musicians and lyrically it is inspired by a recent burying of the hatchet, and focusing instead on understanding the concept of mortality. It is fury-fueled, but intelligently constructed, resulting in a sound that is both old and new to fans of Osiah, a perfect introduction or concatenation for those who’ve been with us from the start of our onerous journey."

Stream 'Kairos' here and watch the official video for "The Inherited Sorrow" below.

Hailing from the extreme music melting pot that is the northeast of England, Osiah transcends the deathcore label with what could possibly be the most torturous barrage of filth the UK has produced in recent years. Crushingly intense breakdowns and deathly chops tread a familiar path, but jarringly detuned guitars, unpredictable tempo changes and vocals that range from wide-ranging pitched screams to commanding guttural bowel openers add an extra evil to the sound that cannot be put into words.

After releasing their first EP 'Reborn Through Hate' in 2015, Osiah released their first full-length album ‘Terror Firma’ in June 2016 via Siege Music. The album gained praise from Metal Hammer Magazine, Bloody Disgusting, and many other prestigious publications, cementing the band as the hottest and heaviest band on the UK deathcore scene.

The resulting work lead to the band signing to Unique Leader Records in 2018 and releasing their sophomore album 'Kingdom of Lies' in 2019. In 2021, Osiah released their third album 'Loss' and unleashed their latest EP 'Chronos' in early 2023.

SKELETAL REMAINS Unleashes New Single + Music Video, Launches Pre-Orders for 'Fragments of the Ageless'

PRE-ORDER // STREAM

Lyrically, SKELETAL REMAINS took the left-hand path. Rather than topics and themes inspiring the cover art, Dan Seagrave’s (Suffocation, Entombed, et al.) famously atramentous detail conversely informed the lyrics and album title. Monroy says they had working titles that they conveyed to Seagrave, but the final painting sparked the title, “Fragments of the Ageless”. Of course, the usual influx of sci-fi, historical, personal struggles, and fantastical also played a part.

“Seagrave completed the cover art before we had a title,” Monroy says. “That was kind of different, but it worked in our favor. The cover art directly inspired a few of the lyrics and musical themes, tying multiple pieces together, which is a first for us. We did show him different pieces of art—10 in all, I think—that we liked, so there was direction. We wanted a mixture of things, with the final idea being a creature being taken apart and its DNA extracted. Seagrave’s crazy brain made it all come to life.”

SKELETAL REMAINS recorded “Fragments of the Ageless” at various home and professional studios. Most of the guitars, bass, and solos were tracked DIY. The band wanted the drums to sound as imposing as possible, so they booked Trench Studios (Intronaut, Hirax) with John Haddad, while the vocals were cut at Birdcage Studios with Allen Falcon (Pestilent Death). Once the album’s core had been recorded, Monroy and the team sent their sick slab to Swedish studio ace Dan Swanö (Asphyx, Incantation) for mixing and mastering.

While SKELETAL REMAINS have had four full-lengths since forming in 2011, “Fragments of the Ageless” is the band in their highest grotesque gear yet.

Atlanta-based hard rock sensation PISTOLS AT DAWN is ushering in the festive season with a twist on the beloved holiday anthem, "Last Christmas." Available now on all major streaming platforms, this latest single from the band promises to ignite holiday spirits with its rock-infused rendition of WHAM!/George Michael's timeless classic.

With a fervent dedication to crafting an enduring holiday track, PISTOLS AT DAWN embarked on a mission to create a rendition that resonates across generations. Adding their unique rock stamp to the iconic melody, the band infused raw emotion and intensity, channeling George Michael's original sentiment while introducing a new dimension to the song's sonic landscape.

In a departure from their signature sound, the band embraced the inclusion of violin and cello, marking the first time they've incorporated these orchestral elements into their music. This addition elevates the emotive qualities of "Last Christmas," ensuring that listeners experience a stirring and immersive rendition of this cherished song.

Commenting on their rendition, PISTOLS AT DAWN expressed, "We wanted to create a truly special holiday track that would stand the test of time. George Michael wrote one of the best holiday songs of all time, and we wanted to add our stamp to it. We knew if we felt the emotion of the song, like he did, that everyone else would too. At the end of the day, we just hope this makes everyone's holiday a little more special."

Moreover, PISTOLS AT DAWN has exciting plans for the upcoming year, including a series of dates alongside Fozzy across international stages, as well as headlining performances. The band's relentless energy and captivating stage presence are poised to captivate audiences worldwide.

"Last Christmas" by PISTOLS AT DAWN is now available on all major streaming platforms. Embrace the spirit of the season with their electrifying take on this holiday classic.

When rules break, rock ‘n’ roll moves forward. Standing at a crossroads between 21st century attitude and old school arena-size ambition, Pistols At Dawn lock and load hard-hitting hooks, magnetic melodies, and intricate instrumentation in a searing signature style. The Atlanta quartet—Adam Jaffe [drums], Will James [lead guitar], Gabriel Cuevas [bass], and Jon Sookdew Sing [lead vocals+rhythm guitar]—re-energize the genre, while maintaining its edge. After independently amassing over 6 million streams and collaborating with icons such as GRAMMY® Award-winning producer and engineer Sylvia Massy [Tool, System of a Down, Johnny Cash], the group deliver eight anthems on their 2022 full-length album, Ascension, via distributor Megaforce Records/MRI Entertainment. “All of our influences come out in the music, but with our own stamp,” says Adam. “There’s definitely a hard rock vibe combined with progressive lyrics. When you add these elements together, it beautifully combusts in Pistols At Dawn.”

Speaking to this alchemy, in 2015 the band immediately entered the studio with producer Jeff Tomei [Smashing Pumpkins, Matchbox 20] to record their first singles before entertaining various other projects. During 2019, the original lineup joined forces again. Ultimately, original founder Jaffe completed the lineup with incendiary world class guitarist James, and elite progressive rock duo Sookdew Sing and Cuevas.

They unleashed music at a prolific pace in addition to personally engaging fans worldwide with an immersive online presence. “Cold” exploded to the tune of 1 million streams across platforms followed by "Gauntlet" and "All You Offer" with another million streams. Working with producer Jeff Tomei, they unleashed the Nocturnal Youth EP in 2021. The opener and lead single “Voices” impressively generated 1 million plays in under a month. In the midst of the Global Pandemic, they caught the attention of Massy and recorded what would become Ascension with the legendary producer behind the board alongside co-producer Chris Pierson.

Musically and thematically, it allowed a sliver of light to pass through the world’s darkness. “On Nocturnal Youth, we were going through a dark time in the Global Pandemic,” Jaffe states. “On Ascension, we’re coming into the light and embracing life. There’s still dark subject matter on the record, but it was positive to write. It melded together the way we’d always hoped.”

Anchored by a balance of extremes, the lead single “The Truth” nods to nineties alternative with a distinct and dynamic twist. Adam goes on, “It revolves around the constant noise we have in our head pushing and pulling our emotions so much that we sometimes lose total control and explode. We have to be careful to maintain our thoughts and emotions, or ‘The Truth’ is that they could tear us apart.”

Elsewhere, the opener and follow-up single “Under The Surface” immediately sets the tone with a hypnotic riff and hard-hitting vocal, barely containing its cathartic momentum in the searing lyrics, “Take what you want and leave me for dead. All that I need is under the surface.”

“This song deals with the hell some have to go through above ground with people constantly taking, lying, and poisoning,” he reveals. “So, you want to be buried deep to get away from society where no one will find you.”

“Fly” leans into a dark chorus and instantly memorable hook, equally soaring and shuddering all at once. It strikes a chord with its timeless theme presented through a nocturnal prism. “It’s a powerful and dark love song about wanting to disappear with your true love,” he elaborates. “Musically, diversity was important to us. So, each song really tells a different story with a distinct sound.”

Indicative of this diversity, “For You” steamrolls forward on a hulking groove fortified by a punchy riff and towering refrain. It sets the tone for the rollercoaster to follow. “It’s about finding someone really special who is worth changing for,” notes Adam. “If you find someone you love enough, you’ll change. It’s the light at the end of the tunnel.”

Ultimately, Pistols At Dawn ignite a fresh and fiery vision for rock all their own.
“We want to take you on a ride,” Jaffe leaves off. “We just love playing music. One moment, we hope you’re inspired to take on the world. In the next, we hope you scream along. In another, you just chill. It’s meant to be fun and exciting overall. At the end, we hope you want to take the ride again and again.”

Co-written by Coco with Zach Sorgen [Charlie Puth, Ryan Tedder, Ava Max], “Better Type” is a song that speaks for itself. so many girls are talking about their relationship problems. Long Distance and excuses people give to end things are very relatable.
