BEING AS AN OCEAN Unveil Emotive New Single "Flesh and Bone"

Melodic post-hardcore trailblazers Being As An Ocean have today released their emotionally charged single, "Flesh & Bone", a powerful exploration of the duality between the pursuit of dreams and the yearning for home. Experience the heartrending beauty of "Flesh & Bone" HERE. Watch the official music video below.

Pre-order the band's upcoming album, 'Death Can Wait' (out February 2nd, 2024 via Out Of Line Records) HERE.

Providing further context for "Flesh & Bone", the band shares

"Flesh & Bone seeks to describe the splitting of the soul that happens when one gives themselves to their passions, dreams, and obsessions. It is about the feeling of longing for home while being away, while also acknowledging that too much time spent in comfort is time taken away from the unknown, discovery, and adventure. The song is about missing loved ones from the road: the isolation that can be felt when you are away from your support network, especially when you are emotionally low. When the road has become a part of who you are or has shaped you in significant ways, no matter how much you hold those you love dear or how precious the time spent at home, the road still pulls at you and your spirit still hears its call," the band elucidates, capturing the essence of the new single."

With "Flesh & Bone", Being As An Ocean invites listeners to a profound journey through the tumultuous landscape of an artist's heart. It is an anthem that resonates with the sweet sorrow of parting, and the unshakable hope that beckons with every step away from the familiar. Following a successful headlining tour with Of Virtue and SENNA, this single emerges as the third prelude to their highly anticipated album, 'Death Can Wait' set for release on February 2nd, 2024 through Out Of Line Music. Another extremely personal set of songs loaded with pure emotion continuing the band's legacy of crafting deep, introspective music that speaks to the soul.

Being As An Ocean will be playing a special, one-off show at LA's Teragram Ballroom on December 16th, supporting Crown The Empire and will be embarking on a UK & European tour in February next year with Currents on their 'The Death We Seek UK/EU Tour' with Oceans Ate Alaska and Sentinels. GASKET Release "Dull the Needle" EP Via Blue Grape + Listen to "Bled Dry"

Baltimore quartet GASKET have released Dull the Needle, a seven song EP today, November 17, via Blue Grape Music. Get it here.

The band has also shared the visualizer for "Bled Dry." Watch + listen
below.

The band describes the EP as an "exhibition of vitality."

The EP clocks in at less than 10 minutes of run time but is a full length dose of ferocity and fury.

Each song clocks in at under two minutes, efficiently making their points, leaving the listener gasping for air before mercilessly moving onto the next track.

GASKET serve up a lethal and gnarly blend of crusty punk, old school hardcore, and straight up metal over the course of the EP.  Consider this your fair warning.

"GASKET are opening the door for the next generation of kids looking to take metal and hardcore to new places, and we at Blue Grape Music are proud to help the band propel heavy music culture to an ever widening global audience with the release of their first EP Dull the Needle," says Blue Grape president Dave Rath.

Listen to "Child of Prophecy" HERE.

Watch the video below

The song paints a vivid narrative of a world at the precipice of change, where a child of prophecy emerges as a beacon of hope amid encroaching darkness. The lyrics evoke a sense of urgency and determination, urging listeners to head the warnings of the past and embrace the call to action.

Through haunting whispers carried by the wind, the song beckons the audience to join a crusade against the shadows, urging them to offer their hearts and shield their eyes as they ignite a fire of transformation.

Directed by Michail Sedov, the music video was shot on September 13, 2023 during the band's sold-out show at Carthage in their home country Tunisia.

"Myrath from Tunisia might just be the most underrated band ever. Their new album really excites me – they have something fresh and back it up with a great stage show. They played a tiny stage at Wacken where nobody brings more than guitars and amps and brought a two-truck production. It was amazing!" – Pär Sundström, Sabaton

As the sands of time continued to shape their journey, Myrath's relentless dedication led to the creation of their highly anticipated album Karma, slated for release on February 2 via earMUSIC as limited transparent red LP, black LP and Digipak. The forthcoming opus promises to be a testament to their evolution, delivering a sonic tapestry woven from passion and innovation.

With Karma, Myrath solidify their place at the top of the metal scene with a powerful and captivating blend of Eastern melodies and Western heavy metal. From the epic opening track "To The Stars" to the hauntingly beautiful "Child Of Prophecy," this album will take you on a theatrical journey through a world of myth and legend.

Featuring soaring vocals, intricate guitar riffs, and complex percussion, Karma showcases the virtuosity and creativity that have made Myrath one of the most exciting and innovative bands in the genre. With its stunning production and lush soundscapes, this album is sure to be a classic for years to come.

Post Profit Release "Self Defeater" EP + Share "Two Toxic"

Newly signed SHARPTONE RECORDS band POST PROFIT — Matt Jackson [vocals, guitar], Nick Hawner [guitar +vocals], and Zach Hicks [drums + vocals] — released their six-song EP, Self Defeater, today, November 17, via SharpTone Records. Get it here.

The band has shared the visualizer for "Two Toxic." Watch + listen
below.

"With 'Two Toxic,' we wanted to do something different and show a more emotional side with what we call an 'anti' love song," the band says. "Lyrically, it touches on the feeling of being in love, but also highlights the negative effects that often come with it.  We put aggressive driving guitars and accents up against gentle delicate moments to resemble that push and pull effect."

The band continues, "We're excited for you all to hear this song and the rest of the EP Self Defeater in its fullness. We've poured our heart, soul, and emotion into it and we hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did creating it for you. Thank you so much."

POST PROFIT ON TOUR:
WITH SILLY GOOSE:

11/18 —  New Orleans, LA — Parish @ House of Blues
11/20 —  Nashville, TN — The End

ABOUT POST PROFIT
Some would say Post Profit have been waiting for this moment since the cradle, with each member being introduced to musical instruments between the ages of 2 to 6.

Zach and Matt forged a friendship as toddlers ever since their moms became best friends from church in Longview, TX. Nick would later learn of Matt's vocal prowess through the high school intercom. "Matt's father was the high school principal," explains Nick. "And he'd have Matt on there in the mornings singing about refraining from drugs and alcohol and striving for good school attendance."

Over the next few years, the trio would really get to know each other from attending and performing at local shows. Nick and Zach especially hit it off and quickly became inseparable, spending much of their time listening to music, eager to put their own band together. Meanwhile, Matt was sinking his teeth into a Dallas based metalcore band called Far From Earth.

During early 2017, Matt started hosting open jams every Sunday at a smoky East Texas dive bar and one night asked Zach to join on drums. Zach dragged his new friend Nick along on guitar and the trio quickly formed a strong musical bond. They would soon start slipping originals into their covers sets and after months of unrelenting practices and bar jams they booked their first show at a Halloween party in Tyler, TX.

With the experience of countless gigs across the South, Post Profit soon gained a reputation for their commanding and impactful live performance, including powerful 2021 and 2022 performances at Welcome To Rockville in Daytona, FL. Rallying around influences such as Deftones, Incubus, Failure, and Quicksand, the band refined their original songs and sound into what would become their 2022 debut self-produced album When You Think It's Right It's Always Wrong.  The release garnered over a million cumulative streams independently, and the success of their single "Smother" grabbed the attention of SharpTone Records, eventually landing them a deal.

About CELESTE:

Having played more than 500 shows around the world, including appearances at several prestigious extreme music festivals, theaters and venues (Hellfest, Roskilde, Copenhell, SummerBreeze, Brutal Assault, Roadburn, Psycho Las Vegas...), with one EP and six albums under their belt, CELESTE have succeeded in creating their own musical atmosphere and are today considered to be one of the most important bands of the "French Avant-Garde Black-Metal" scene.

For 15 years, this French metal band has crafted a hybrid sound that defies easy categorization but remains unmistakable. By skillfully blending elements of black metal, post-metal, and hardcore,
CELESTE has created a singular and immersive musical experience, characterized by its violence, oppressiveness, and darkness.

While
CELESTE is renowned for their musical prowess, their live shows are equally famous for their apocalyptic and suffocating experiences. Immersed in complete darkness and thick smoke, the audience relies on strobe flashes and the red beams of the musicians' headlamps for guidance.

"This band has become one of the defining groups of their generation. Cult favorites for a notoriously picky group of fans, it's easy to see why CELESTE are viewed as some of the best out there right now" METAL INJECTION

BAY AREA THRASH LEGENDS, SADUS, RELEASE FIRST ALBUM IN 17 YEARS, THE SHADOW INSIDE

After nearly two decades, the wait is over! East Bay thrash metal legends SADUS have returned with a massively anticipated new album, The Shadow Inside, out now from Nuclear Blast Records. It’s been 17 long years since the release of their last full-length, Out For Blood (2006), and the band sounds just as viciously vital as the day they first lit up audiences almost 40 years ago!

Recorded with Juan Urteaga (EXODUS, TESTAMENT, MACHINE HEAD) at Trident Studios, The Shadow Inside is a merciless masterclass of thrash with blistering tracks like ‘Scorched And Burnt,’ ‘It’s The Sickness’ and ‘Ride The Knife,” that further cement the band’s metal legacy.

Today, SADUS aims attention towards another standout track, ‘Anarchy,’ which is accompanied by the brutal video below.

Commenting on the song, lead vocalist/guitarist Darren Travis states:

“In a world of confusion, people will rise to Anarchy.. there’s no turning back..!”

Stream/Purchase The Shadow Inside: https://bfan.link/tsisadus.ema

‘Anarchy’ Music Video:

Featuring ominous artwork by accomplished artist Travis Smith (FLESHGOD APOCALPYSE, OPETH), The Shadow Inside, is a contemporary thrash classic with colossal, groove-laden riffs at break-neck rhythm and blistering solos. It’s the record fans have been waiting desperately for and one of the year’s most crucial metal albums.

Commenting on the record’s impending release, Darren Travis says:

“I am giddy with excitement for this album to be unleashed upon the world. With the help of the entire Nuclear Blast team, we will bestow a hugely anticipated release of The Shadow Inside!!

THANK YOU for your interest in our little band for all these years. I hope you will find the same release of excitement that WE DO!! The love of METAL is the only reason for SADUS!! Thank you ALL for the undying SUPPORT!!!! Fucking SADUS!!”

About SADUS:

It has been sixteen long years since the monstrous sound of SADUS last bestowed a new record upon the world, but the time has finally arrived. This November, Nuclear Blast Records proudly presents the triumphant return of the unconquerable SADUS with their sixth full-length studio album, titled The Shadow Inside.

Adorned with the compelling artwork of Travis Smith, the album cover depicts an all-consuming demon of the cosmos fiercely enveloping a tortured soul beneath, perfectly encapsulating the vision and duality that the songs on this record deliver. Founder and drummer Jon Allen shares his excitement about working with Travis once again, reminiscing about their collaboration on Elements of Anger. He points out that several tracks on the new album, such as ‘The Devil In Me’ and ‘The Shadow Inside,’ revolve around the idea of an internal entity constantly pushing us. At times, one might find themselves at the edge of reason, attributing their actions to the shadow within, an external force they blame for their choices. While not a concept album per-se, every song deals with life decisions and the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions to unlock the best life has to offer. The track ‘The Shadow Inside’ boasts a heavier and slower tone, with a touch of classic, gut-wrenching grind, creating a fitting climax to the album.

A formidable darkness flows through tracks like ‘Anarchy’. Evidently influenced by the tumultuous post-Covid times of mass hysteria, looting, and general loss of control, the melody reflects this chaotic environment. Allen describes the track as “more straightforward and in-your-face, hitting listeners right in the gut. ”Despite the intensity, SADUS manages to retain their signature death/thrash blend, staying true to their old-school roots. The aggression remains palpable, allowing their music to speak for itself with raw, unapologetic power.

‘Scorched and Burnt’ follows suit, with its steady beat and chaotic vocals seamlessly intertwining with blistering guitar work. The track gradually transitions into an impassioned melody, igniting a fiery explosion as the song nears its conclusion. Although inspired by the literal wildfires that plagued California during its creation, ‘Scorched and Burnt’ delves deeper into the idea that individuals often feel like someone or something is constantly out to get them. Yet, in the end, the song urges unity, recognizing that every action, even in chaos, ripples through the lives of others.

The process of creating The Shadow Inside was unhurried and unencumbered by unnecessary roadblocks. SADUS allowed their creativity to flow naturally, collecting riffs and writing together in person. The band took their time, nurturing and developing their musical ideas until they evolved into the powerful tracks we hear today. Allen emphasizes that their drama-free and family-oriented approach to making music is one of the reasons their sound speaks so powerfully to their fans. Collaborating with Juan Urteaga of Trident Studios added another layer of refinement to the album, as his expertise in death metal played a vital role in shaping its overall sound.

All that being said, SADUS is not a band that simply stands apart from the crowd for the sake of being different. They stand tall, unswayed by mass hysteria and media influences, choosing to make their own decisions and encourage others to do the same. In a world filled with disinformation and false flags, they emphasize the importance of being smart, using common sense, thinking for ourselves, and remaining aware of our surroundings.

As November approaches, the anticipation for The Shadow Inside is sure to grow. With their uncompromising vision, SADUS continues to stand as a beacon of authenticity and integrity within the heavy metal community, forever forging their path in the ever-evolving landscape of music.

Wind Walkers Release Highly Anticipated Album "What If I Break?" & Drop New Video For "The Overlook"

Wind Walkers, the genre-defying visionaries, are thrilled to announce the release of their groundbreaking album "What If I Break?". Continuing to break boundaries and forge their own path in the alternative music scene, Wind Walkers have swiftly gained acclaim, with "What If I Break?" emerging as one of the standout albums of the year. Fans can stream the recent release HERE.

The album release is accompanied by the release of their latest single "The Overlook". With the incendiary new single, Wind Walkers unleash a sonic inferno through its fiery composition that encapsulates the band's artistic fervor. Fans can watch "The Overlook" below.

Speaking on today's single release, vocalist Trevor Borg shares:

"This song is a bit different than the others on the album in the sense that I didn’t necessarily write the lyrics from personal experience. I’ve always wanted to challenge myself and write a song about a story I loved, and if the name isn’t a dead give away, I wrote this song about my favorite novel “The Shining”. The overlook is about the character Jack and his struggles to be a better version of himself and provide for his family. All while facing consequences of past mistakes as well as battling his vices, and literal possession from spirits in a haunted hotel."

Lifting the curtain behind the record, Trevor continues:

"Lyrically, What if I Break is a very introspective album. I wrote about very real experiences in my life these past few years. This album touches on love and death, connections with others as well as connections with myself. And the pressures that I felt trying to maintain those connections while chasing a dream I’ve had since childhood. These songs are on the verge of being uncomfortably honest, and I couldn’t imagine doing it any other way."

Authenticity is the heartbeat of "What If I Break?", as it dives into the depths of human experience, navigating themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. Seamlessly blending powerful instrumentals with hauntingly honest vocals, each track unfolds as a compelling narrative that showcases a spectrum of raw emotions and cathartic expression. With this latest release, Wind Walkers have made their triumphant return, claiming their status as dynamic trailblazers.

"What If I Break?", produced by the highly regarded Nick Matzkows (known for his work with Attack Attack, Until I Wake, Conquer Divide) and revered Jon Eberhard (I Prevail, Skillet, The Ghost Inside), promises to redefine the boundaries of post-hardcore and alternative metal. With their daring approach, Wind Walkers effortlessly blend the commanding force of modern metal with the irresistible charisma of pop, crafting a sound that is both emotionally charged and undeniably catchy. Be sure to stay tuned for more Wind Walkers news coming soon.

ABOUT WIND WALKERS

Hailing from the vibrant music scene of central Massachusetts, Wind Walkers are leading in redefining the very essence of post-hardcore and alternative metal.

In their innovative approach, they fearlessly combine the relentless power of modern metal with the irresistible allure of pop, creating a sound that is as thought-provoking as it is infectious. Their latest singles, "Dead Talk," and “Bodybag” are a glimpse into the boundless creativity that lies within them, a mere taste of their forthcoming album, “What If I Break?” (set for release on November 17), promises to deliver.

Alongside the instrumental expertise of Timothy Comeau and Neil Comeau on guitar, Craig Martin on bass, and Ethan Cheesman on drums, the pivotal moment of their evolution came with the addition of vocalist Trevor Borg. With his exceptional vocal prowess and captivating stage presence, he's added a new layer of depth and intensity to their already established sound.

Chaotic Hardcore Newcomers APOSTLE Unleash Vicious New Song + Video, "Pain"

Blackened atmospheric chaotic hardcore newcomers APOSTLE are now unleashing their vicious new single, "Pain," along with a lyric video! The single is taken from the band's upcoming EP, 'Liminal,' which is due on December 15 via Terminus Hate City Records! The clip can be found below.

The band comments, "'Pain' was the first track we began working on when we set out to write what would become 'Liminal.' As with every track on this release, they were all written in our rehearsal space, during rehearsal - making the writing process one of total collaboration and the environment as conducive for organic flow states of creativity. We wanted these songs to be straightforward in their arrangements and delivery and we didn’t want to fixate, overindulge or totally run parts into the ground. Rather, we wanted the movements to be quick and intentional, keeping things dynamic and driving."

Pre-orders are now live for 'Liminal' HERE.

In addition, APOSTLE will be performing two hometown shows before the end of the year. The full run is as follows:

Upcoming Apostle U.S. Dates:

11/17: Atlanta, GA @ Bogg’s Social and Supply (JabroniFest)

12/09: Atlanta, GA @ 529

Apostle's vicious new offering is fueled by the collective prowess of guitarist and vocalist Murice White, bassist Michael Thomas, and drummer Evan Price. Apostle breaks new ground with 'Liminal,' citing many diverse influences, and crafting a sonic landscape that defies categorization.

Murice White's guitar work is a fierce force, delivering textured riffs that traverse the extremes of aggression and beauty, while his seething vocals add a visceral layer to the record's tapestry. Michael Thomas's groove-laden low end provides a solid backbone, grounding the compositions in a rhythmic foundation that is both formidable and infectious. Evan Price's propulsive batterie propels the music forward, adding a kinetic energy that keeps the violent angst front and center.

From the unrelenting chaos of grindcore to the ethereal tremolos of atmospheric black metal, 'Liminal' embarks on an audacious exploration of the outer reaches of metal's vast spectrum. The warm undertones of shoegaze interlace with a robust foundation of melodic hardcore, providing a dynamic and immersive experience that transcends the boundaries of conventional metal. Dogma Release Self-Titled Album

Faithful truth seekers, today Dogma release their self-titled debut album.  The album features 11 songs/chapters that tell a powerful musical narrative that delves deep into the human psyche.

Also today, Dogma release the video for "Made Her Mine," in which frontwoman Lilith seduces a young nun and envelops her in passion.

Frontwoman Lilith says, "On our debut album, we unveil a raw and unapologetic narrative, shedding light on the struggle against imposed faith, unfair censorship, and the liberation from illogical beliefs. It's a journey through lost innocence and a rebellion against archaic constraints. 'Made Her Mine,' depicted in our music video, is a bold statement, capturing the defiance against societal norms. It's about breaking free, embracing our truth, and challenging the restrictions imposed upon us."

Lilith further elaborated, "Additionally, the uncensored version of the album artwork stands as a daring reflection of the omnipresence of lust within humanity, irrespective of any condition. It serves as a bold visual testament, unmasking the truth that lust is an inherent part of our nature, free from any imposed limitations such as fake morality and illogical beliefs."

Dogma beckons us to embrace rebellion and unleash our carnal desires. They cast aside the chains of modesty, conjuring a tempest of sensuality that demands unwavering attention and passionate participation.

Previously, Dogma has released the singles & videos for "Carnal Liberation," "Forbidden Zone," and "My First Peak."  Be prepared, for this revelation serves as a harbinger of the impending unveiling of Dogma's forthcoming album. As they forge their sonic arsenal in the crucible of creative passion, they challenge conventions and summon the faithful to join their unyielding crusade.

UK synthwave artist Richard Evans releases 'Dream of the World' EP, beating the odds after debilitating auto-immune disease.

"A beautiful performance" ~ The Guardian

"While new wave has been around for quite some time, Richard Evans cleverly summons all the best elements of the genre, tastefully packaging them with thoughtful lyrics in a way that is completely fresh and forever young" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Commendable, not only for its allure and catchiness (with elements of Rational Youth, Pet Shop Boys and Jean-Michel Jarre), but also for taking on such topical subject matter as technogenic disaster, environmental devastation and our skewed outlook on our dire prospects as Earth's inhabitants" ~ Ampify Music Magazine

"A standout musical event" ~ The State of the Arts

Manchester-based synthwave artist
Richard Evans has released his new retro-futuristic EP 'Dream of the World' via Cold Star Media. Recorded at Cold Star Studios in July 2023, the inspiring title track is about remaining positive even in the darkest times, as reflected in the accompanying video.

A British-Irish electronic musician, writer and digital media artist, Evans was previously keyboardist in UK cult band
James, with whom he also co-wrote and recorded material. Previous to that, he was also guitarist and songwriter for St. Vitus Dancers.

This was no easy feat. Struck with Miller Fisher Syndrome, a rare debilitating auto-immune disorder (a variant of Guillain-Barre Syndrome) in 2022, it would require Evans' full recovery, something that is not guaranteed to most people suffering from this ailment. He also had to learn to do everything all over again, including speaking, singing and playing music. But he managed to do exactly that, against the odds.

This
3-track EP follows Evans' 2022 debut record 'Sentinel', an electro-pop concept album tthat touches on micro-plastics, gene editing, stardust, technogenic disasters, human evolution, among other themes, this superb eight-track collection telling the story of humanity at a tipping point and a world trapped in a climate crisis.

"'Dream Of The World' is a call to action in the face of an unrelenting climate crisis and, on a personal level, it reflects on a health situation that affected me in late 2022. I was diagnosed with Miller Fisher Syndrome, a rare auto-immune disorder that impacts around one in a million people each year and is a variant of Guillain-Barre Syndrome. I found parallels between the life-threatening aspects of the climate crisis and a condition which decimated nearly all of my body’s functions," says Richard Evans.

"I literally woke up one morning in the midst of losing all muscle control. Over the course of a single day, I became unable to open my eyes, to sit, stand or walk, even to eat or swallow food. I was hospitalised for a month and for the first 10 days of this stay, there was a real risk of respiratory failure. Alongside a treatment plan, I kept going with positive visualisations, mentally depicting future times when I would be well again. If nothing else, this practice helped me find the strength to endure the most challenging experience of my life."

Evans adds, "Once I was released from hospital, music became an important part of my recovery - learning to sing and play keyboards again helped me regain control of my arms, hands and facial muscles. For a long time I had double vision and didn’t have the concentration to work on a computer. However I could play piano for short periods and was able to resume some vocal work after a couple of months. This phase created an unexpected change in my writing process, which previously was built around riffs and sequences developed on a computer. 'Dream Of The World' was composed entirely with piano and voice."

Richard Evans' draws inspiration from real-world science, exploring biotechnology, machine intelligence and the environment. For this album, existing songs were refined and new material was written, combining the warmth of classic synths with pared-down lyrics that explore real-world subject matter.

The Song
'Dream Of The World' reflects how the climate emergency is met with procrastination and indifference from most governments and corporations, as if the switch to zero carbon is somehow beyond human control. The lyrics are also about facing mortality on a personal level, with Evans singing, "I won’t bow to the hand of fate", emphasizing that we don’t always have to accept the hand we’re dealt.

With the sonically hypnotic effect of its single sequence and drum pattern,
'2084' is about those who deny science and convince others of a different reality, underscored by the lyrics "Hear the priests lie that black is white".

'Motherlode' is a previously unreleased track, recorded during the 'Sentinel' sessions in 2021. It's about the phenomena of algorithmic trading - flash trades - and how ‘the market’ advances in cities worldwide each day to relentlessly exploit planetary resources.

Richard Evans' output extends well beyond the musical realm. He recently received a New Ideas Fund award from Creative UK to develop a virtual production studio. The award supports content for future stage shows and a new sci-fi short film, called 'DeepSleep', which was written and directed by Richard and is due for release in 2024.

Since the early 1980s, Evans' independent creative projects have received nine awards from Arts Council England and a separate one from Creative England, in addition to being commissioned for various projects by the University of Manchester and the Manchester Science Festival.

Evans also wrote, directed and produced
the science fiction drama 'AEON'. An author of many short stories, he also published the novel 'KOSMONAUT ZERO' (via Dead Ink), researched at Star City Cosmonaut Training Centre. He also oversaw the 'Gagarin 50' exhibition for the 50th anniversary of the first human spaceflight by Yuri Gagarin.

'Dream of the World' is out now. Available
everywhere online, it can be obtained directly from the artist via Bandcamp. On November 23rd, Richard will perform extracts from 'Sentinel' at the Prism Winter Festival at Waterside, Sale, Manchester. Recordings of the live performance will then feature throughout the festival on November 24th and 25th. This first outdoor presentation of 'Sentinel' involves the visuals being projected onto the exterior of the Waterside building.

Randall King Offers Baritone-Treatment on Holiday Classic “Silent Night”

With his highly anticipated 18-track sophomore album Into The Neon arriving Jan. 26, 2024, Warner Music Nashville’s Randall King isn’t making fans wait for new music, today offering his Billboard-praised “sturdy baritone” on holiday classic “Silent Night.”

King’s take on “Silent Night,” co-produced by King and Jared Conrad, juxtaposes his signature low-pitched vocals with the dancing high chords of the mandolin, and the steady strum of a steel guitar, offering an upbeat tempo on the holiday favorite. View “Silent Night” lyrics below.

“We ain’t silent on this night, it’s out now!” exclaimed King. “Early Christmas present from me to y’all!”

Into The Neon, also produced by King and Conrad, incorporates a unique blend of the influences from icons and modern masters alike who have inspired King’s sound; inclusive of the timeless ‘80s country twang of George Strait and Keith Whitley, and the blood pumping, Y2K-era rhythms of Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan.

Showcasing his ability to traverse from a toe-tapping waltzer with “When My Baby’s In Boots” to the yearning lament of “I Could Be That Rain,” King lays it all on the line with songs that could just as easily be enjoyed while slow dancing under the starry night sky or while line dancing at a local honky tonk.

King has stayed busy on the road while balancing time in the studio recording new music throughout 2023, recently returning from his first-ever European tour in September, Neon Overseas, with a set of 11 shows, including sold-out stops in Cologne, Germany; London England and more. As the year winds down, King continues to support Jon Pardi and Ian Munsick on select tour dates, while headlining stops in Las Vegas, NV during NFR; Salt Lake City, UT and more.

About Randall King:
One of country’s new crop of modern traditionalists, Warner Music Nashville artist Randall King grew up on the endless plains of West Texas – and his sound is steeped in their timeless beauty with a mix of grit and grace. He grew up singing in the back of a ‘93 Chevy Suburban, mimicking the pure-country vocals of stars like Keith Whitley, George Strait, Alan Jackson and John Anderson and over the years became drawn to the electrifying energy of modern stars like Eric Church, Dierks Bentley and Jason Aldean. After years of hustling and a road-warrior’s diet of 150 shows each year, King produced and released the defiant 2016 EP, Another Bullet, then followed up with a 2018 self-titled album. Now, King is bringing an organic, timeless sound to the mainstream with his major label debut album Shot Glass. The 11-song collection, seven of which were co-written by King, centers around a night out at a bar, with each track representing a different point of view of those in the room. The album was named to Whiskey Riff’s Top 40 Country Albums of 2022 and Billboard’s All Genre 50 Best Albums of 2022 (So Far), making him the only male country artist to make the list. With over 200+ million career streams to his name, the 2023 Music Mayhem Magazine and 2022 Pandora and Country NowCountry Artist to Watch is looking to the anywhere-and-everywhere future with music that captures the essence of a Western poet who’s never been afraid to be himself.

COLIN STOUGH DELIVERS A RASPY-SOUL RENDITION OF “BLUE CHRISTMAS”

Country newcomer and 19 Recordings/BMG artist Colin Stough puts a raspy-Soul spin on a classic today (11/17), letting his sandpaper vocal loose for an icy, twangy rendition of “Blue Christmas.” Available across all streaming platforms and digital retailers, listen here.

Originally written by Billy Hayes and Jay W. Johnson, the colorful Christmastime anthem became a timeless favorite in the hands of The King, Elvis Presley, capturing the all-too-common twinge of holiday heartache. A fellow Mississippi native, Stough now puts his own mark on the track – while also paying homage to his roots.

Produced by Alex Maxwell, the singer-songwriter dials his blowtorch vocal down to a warm fireside glow, letting each heavyhearted word roll out slow and lonesome – just like the Big River itself. Meanwhile, his reverb-heavy guitar captures an edgy vibe somewhere between honky-tonk and Hot R&B, with a thick bass line and a festive touch of sleigh bells joining in. It adds up to a gritty-but-still-tender take on a tune Stough’s known his whole life.

“Elvis Presley is not only a legend overall, but he's also a Mississippi boy like me. I grew up about 30 minutes from where he was born,” Stough shares. “I love ‘Blue Christmas’ and wanted to do a version of my own. It’s got this smooth, bluesy vibe which I really dig.”

Releasing just as the holiday season begins, Stough’s “Blue Christmas” follows the October delivery of his debut EP,
Promiseland – a heady collision of grungy Southern Rock and pure-Country style that introduces a rising talent.

Just 19 years old and coming off a standout third-place finish on Season 21 of American Idol in 2022, Stough has stunned fans with a freight train of full-bodied vocal rasp and his down-home blend of Hard Rock and twang, both in the studio and on the stage.

Stough has spent this past year headlining shows across the nation, while also supporting artists like Kidd G and Drake White. Next on deck with Chase Matthew in 2024, find upcoming show dates
here.

About Colin Stough:

A 19-year-old Country Rock phenom and native of Gattman, Mississippi, Colin Stough has come a long way in a few short years – and with his debut EP Promiseland, the 19 Recordings/BMG artist is still just getting started. After learning to play guitar at 8 years old, Stough first pursued artistic dreams at 10, boldly trading childhood possessions for his first guitar at a local pawn shop – an instrument he still plays to this day. After graduating high school, the naturally gifted singer and self-taught songwriter began working full-time as an HVAC technician, before his mother convinced him to audition for American Idol. Impressing judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie, Stough stunned viewers and soon built a thriving fan base, finishing third on Season 21 of the show in 2022. He spent the ensuing months writing and recording original music, while also touring nationwide to put his blowtorch vocal and guitar-slinging edge on full display. After signing with 19 Recordings/BMG, his distinctive mix of Southern Rock distortion and pure-Country style have helped tracks like “I Still Talk To Jesus” and “Bad Day” rack up more than 9.4 MILLION global on-demand streams, and in September 2023, Stough released the single “Promiseland,” along with an official music video. The hard-hitting anthem is the title track to Stough’s debut EP, which is out now and puts the emerging artist on track to reach even more dreams in the future. Stough has headlined across the country and opened for established artists like Kidd G and Drake White. Stay tuned for much more to come.

Listen to and watch the visualizer for "Bloom"

"Bloom" demonstrates the softer side of Capstan. Driven by a lilting piano melody, gorgeous vocals, and layered harmonies, it's an emotional journey that packs a sonic lifetime into the space of four minutes. Stick around for the epic ending. It's quite the payoff.

"Every one of us will experience tremendous shifts throughout our lives," the band says, offering a closer look into the song. "We all change drastically as we age, especially as we attempt to overcome our past traumas. 'Bloom' speaks to the journey of learning to focus on the future, instead of the tragedies of the past. A song about growth, and the transition from cyclical self-destructive behavior into hopeful intention for what is to come. It's about the desire to impact the world in a positive, meaningful way, from the perspective of a person who was previously only able to view life through the lens of their trauma. The desire to be the love, be the change. We never stop growing. We never stop blooming."

Reading indie outfit ROCKET KINGS shares 'The Yellow Bird of Fortune', a pop-rock gem from sophomore album 'Paving The Way'

"A true sonic thrill... Positive, clear, inspiring and fun with solid production... brings to mind to some quite celebrated artists - The Wedding Present, the Pixies, Supergrass and The Boo Radleys" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Harmonious, easy going and melodic with a 10/10 feel-good factor, Rocket King delivers a sound that will happily settle in your ears and leave you humming along unconsciously. This song has us looking forward to what delights the entire album may bring" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"A delightful indie pop gem that combines folk influences with a contemporary twist... a sense of whimsy and joy... speaks to the band’s dedication to innovation and uniqueness while maintaining a sense of fun and enjoyment in their craft" ~ Skylight Webzine

Positively-vibed Reading-ased outfit
Rocket Kings presents their new single 'The Yellow Bird of Fortune', a highlight track from their uplifting 12-track 'Paving The Way' album, complete with a new video created by Lee Waters.

Formed in 2016, Rocket Kings is made up of Dave Stewart (ukulele, vocals), Bex Crossland (vocals, ukulele), David Heath (drums), Jess Tuthill (ukulele, vocals), and Yoshiko Nakayama (bass). United by their love of music, their positivity is infectious through the upbeat, original pop-rock songs they perform. With three ukuleles in their line-up, along with bass and drums: this is ukepop as you've never heard it before!

"Dave stumbled across the phrase ‘The Yellow Bird of Fortune’ - a yellow bird is commonly believed to be a symbol of positivity and luck – and thought it would make a great song title. The song is written in a way that feels relatable and real. It’s about people and situations you are drawn to that are not good for you or that hurt you. Dave is an eternal optimist (as far as music goes anyway) and so he is always looking to find the best in different situations. He wrote this song about change, grabbing new opportunities and finding happiness," says Bex Crossland.

"David plays some of his most inspired drumming on this track, which is not surprising as it is his favourite song to play”.

Dave Stewart adds, "Bex will tell you that this is all very well for the optimists, but whilst "the optimists will always keep on smiling, time is ticking away for the rest". Recording the song was particularly exciting as it is one of two songs on the album that includes trumpet for the first time in the band’s history."

Earlier, the band shared the singles
'She's Going To Mars' and the title track 'Paving The Way'. With 12 tracks on offer, this sophomore album presents a fab sound reflecting a blend of The Beautiful South, Teenage Fanclub, Belle and Sebastian and The Cranberries, complemented by a healthy dose of ukuleles, melodies and harmonies.

The new' album was recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered by
Josh McCrohan at Creative Control Studio in Bracknell. Dave Stewart produced this record together with McCrohan, who has become a really important factor in Rocket Kings' sounds. Having provided professional sound services for Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull, Echo & The Bunnymen, Squeeze, Paul Young and Fairport Convention, among others, his input has been invaluable.

The band debuted on the music scene with
‘The Spellbound EP' in 2018, influenced by Teenage Fanclub, Lou Reed, The Kinks, The Wedding Present, Status Quo and The La’s. Their most recent album - 'Everyday Adventures' - was released in 2021. The band also recently shared a series of demos (from 2016), called 'Intense Whirlwind'.

The 'Paving the Way' album is out now, available digitally and also on limited edition vinyl and CD via
Bandcamp. The album will also be available via other fine digital outlets, including Spotify and Apple Music.
