Preeminent black metallers Mayhem ready their newest live strike with Daemonic Rites for Century Media. The 16-track effort captures the frightful efficiency and utter lethality of the Norwegians as they close the chapter on their exalted sixth album, Daemon (2019). Throughout Daemonic Rites, Mayhem impressively nail newer tracks like “Falsified and Hated,” “Malum,” “Bad Blood,” and “Voces Ab Alta” to the proverbial cross, while offering pure fucking mastery of classics like “Freezing Moon,” “Buried by Time and Dust,” “Deathcrush,” and “Carnage.” The devilish quintet also add mid-career haunts like “To Daimonion,” “Symbols of Bloodswords,” and “My Death,” making Daemonic Rites a genuine career-spanning offering.

“We wanted to document how great the band and set sounds like after almost 40 years of playing live,” says founding member Necrobutcher. “As a treat to our fans, we decided to release this live recording.”

“We released the live version of De Mysteriis [aka De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive] a few years ago,” Ghul adds. “That was received very well. We have been playing together for so long now with this lineup that we feel we have reached a point where we are a seriously well-oiled machine. It seemed like a natural step to try to capture this moment in the band’s history, with the same setlist we have been using for a while.”

Mayhem have nearly 1,000 shows to their name. Since their formation Langhus, Norway in 1984, the band—now comprised of Necrobutcher (bass), Hellhammer (drums), Attila Csihar (vocals), Teloch (guitars), and Ghul (guitars)—have brought their brand of bellicose, preternatural black metal to over 60 countries. From the United States and Germany to Australia and Brazil, Mayhem have stunned, bewildered, and turned rabid a global legion, dedicated as much to the band’s infamous legacy as they are staunchly in support of Daemon. Much of that respect and devotion started in the early ‘90s, but persisted to the present day on the strength of official live albums Live in Leipzig (1993), Mediolanum Capta Est (1999), Live in Marseille 2000 (2001) and De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive (2016). Mayhem continue their on-stage assault with Daemonic Rites.

“I knew from day one back in 1984 that this band was going to be outstanding—one of the best bands ever!” Necrobutcher says. “I guess that’s a big reason why we still are here after 39 years—and counting.”

“Well, for the first time in a long time, we felt again like a unit, musically,” continues Hellhammer. “That’s something we haven’t felt in a long time, and that shows in the live recording.”

Daemonic Rites wasn’t pre-planned. Rather, they had sound engineer/producer Tore Stjerna (of Necromorbus Studio fame) record everything—just for posterity, in fact—during the group’s Northern Ritual MMXXII and Thalassic Ritual tours of 2022 and early 2023. Mayhem and Stjerna pilfered the gems, resulting in gigs from London (“Life Eternal,” “Malum”), Manchester (“My Death,” “Silvester Anfang”), and Gothenburg (“Pure Fucking Armageddon,” “To Daimonion”) coming out on top. The penultimate Mayhem live album wouldn’t be complete without “Freezing Moon” and “Pagan Fears”—both from Csihar’s hometown of Budapest, Hungary—as well as newer tracks “Falsified and Hated” and “Bad Blood” from Sydney and Melbourne, respectively. Daemonic Rites showcases the two-time Norwegian Grammy (aka Spellemannprisen) winners at the pinnacle of their live potential.

“We play the songs that feel the best live,” Hellhammer says. “We have in the past tried out a lot of different songs from former eras, but when you play live for an audience, the songs must have IT. If they don’t, even if they are good songs, they won’t fit in a live setting.”

Adds Teloch: “We have a vast catalog by now with so many different types of songs. It’s interesting to make them all work together in a full concert.”

Daemonic Rites comes off the heels of Mayhem’s incredible Beyond the Gates 2022 performance, where they uncaged cult classic De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas not far from where it was originally recorded by Eirik ‘Pytten’ Hundvin (Enslaved, Emperor, Immortal) in Grieghallen during 1992/1993. The live album, however, was mixed and mastered over in neighboring Sweden. Stjerna, who also assisted with Daemon, took the phantasmagoric collection of tracks to his lair at Necromorbus Studio, where his sole job was to preserve Mayhem’s raw, unbridled energy and ghastly electricity. From “Falsified and Hated” and “My Death” to “Buried by Time and Dust” and “Carnage,” they’ve never had the quality of a live album quite like Daemonic Rites. If the past is always alive, this is a live album on par with Venom’s Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, Emperor’s Emperial Live Ceremony, and Gorgoroth’s Black Mass Krakow 2004.

“It fits with where we are now, or more precisely, where we were at the time of the recording,” says Hellhammer.

“[The live recordings] capture the spirit and energy,” furthers Ghul, “of where we are as a band right now.”

Indeed, Mayhem have been and continue to operate at a level not yet witnessed. While atavists will always relish the Deathcrush or Live in Leipzig lineups, Hellhammer’s drum performance against the twin terrors of Teloch and Ghul is the purest black magic on Daemonic Rites. Similarly, Csihar’s hair-raising caterwauling and spectral snarls atop Necrobutcher’s seventh-hell low end is witching-hour great! To support Daemonic Rites, Mayhem have videos for Daemon-era masterpiece “Malum” and late-‘80s Killjoy dedication “Chainsaw Gutsfuck” lined up. Daemonic Rites is the perfect guillotine while the group craft new songs and conspire with others on what the group’s 40th Anniversary next year might entail. Mayhem are likely in their final form, and they’ve never been deadlier.

NORTHBOUND Channels Classic Pop-Punk Vibes on New Single "North Star" Via Smartpunk Records

NORTHBOUND'S UPCOMING ALBUM JUNIPER  ARRIVES JULY 12 VIA SMARTPUNK RECORDS

Pre-order the album here

Ahead of the album release, Northbound have released a new single "North Star" — listen below.

Here's a challenge — try to listen to "North Star" without singing along by the end.

The latest anthemic single by Northbound encapsulates the classic pop-punk energy of his upcoming LP release. After touring worldwide with acts including Simple Plan, State Champs, and more, Jonathon Fraser (the man behind the moniker) is poised to share his most realized iteration of the project onJuniperwhich is set to release on July 12.

Speaking about the new single "North Star," Northbound says, "North Star is classic Northbound, with a newfound self awareness that has come with maturing as a writer. We had a lot of fun working on this one in the studio. Heavy influence from the Take Off Your Pants and Jacket-era by Blink 182 lends this song to have a perfect blend of bounce and emotive tone. If you've liked my previous work, this song is for you. Roll down the windows and sing along."

Speaking on the album, Northbound says, "Juniper is my fourth album under the moniker of Northbound. After a few years of laying low and flying under the radar, this album is a bold statement of return. My most focused record to date, Junipertakes heavy influence from the early 2000s era of pop punk with a clear intention: to feel nostalgia for the moment you're currently in. It's fun to listen to, yet simultaneously invites the listener to feel things. It's a record about change, pain, and joy. Juniper doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it does spin it in a way that hasn't happened for a while."

ABOUT NORTHBOUND:
"Some flowers never get to bloom," a sentiment that has become all too familiar to Jonathon Fraser. For better or worse, this has fueled Northbound, the emo-tinged rock outfit born out of Boca Raton, Florida. Since 2012, Northbound has established a committed following through several releases and an extensive touring history in the U.S. and overseas. Their resume includes hitting the road with the likes of Simple Plan, State Champs, and many more of the scene's most respected bands. Whether it's at a house show or the 02 Forum in London, Northbound has proven capable of encapsulating nostalgia from the turn of the millennium with none of the cliches typically involved.

Throughout Northbound's tenure, Fraser has maintained a presence in his songs that feels like an open door to his lived experiences — all bark, all bite. In early 2023, Fraser dug up his lifelong Florida roots and transplanted them to Los Angeles — with something new to prove.

Juniper sees the project rising to new heights — with the strongest material in Northbound's discography. The themes of the album are on full display — the mental weight that self-awareness can bring, the search for yourself in a world that often doesn't care, and waiting for love that still hasn't arrived. Fraser has no interest in feigning authenticity and refuses to hold back on Juniper

Northbound may be the alternative scene's best-kept secret, but those who are paying attention never stop listening. Juniper and a fresh start in Los Angeles mark the beginning of a monumental shift for the trajectory of Northbound.

ABOUT SMARTPUNK RECORDS:
Smartpunk has been a recognizable name in the scene for a long time (Remember that sponsored Warped Tour stage?!). After exchanging several hands and countless ideas of what it could and should be, they decided to start a record label in 2016 with the main idea of focusing solely on reissuing records that have been out of print or never on vinyl. After all, they're a label of vinyl dorks themselves! After releasing Set Your Goals' Mutiny and Gameface's Good, they started to venture into signing newer bands. They actively balance in between many worlds — putting out amazing music from friends and bands that rock, reissuing older titles, and partnering with other incredible labels in our scene and doing exclusive color variants of their releases.

"Since forming the record label, Smartpunk Records has released timeless albums such as Less Than Jake's Anthem, Nominee's Lowlife, RIVALS' Sad Looks Pretty on Me, Virginity's POPMORTEM, and melodic skate punkers The Swellers' My Everest.

Party Cannon Release New Album 'Injuries Are Inevitable' via Unique Leader Records

Let's get this Party (Cannon) started! The purveyors of Scotland's finest party slam have unleashed their new album out into the world, 'Injuries Are Inevitable' and the official music video for "Bonus Ambulance" (via Unique Leader Records). Leading up to today's release, the band shared "Weird, But Not Illegal" and "Not Immediately Life Threatening". Speaking about "Bonus Ambulance" and the video, Party Cannon bassist Clankenstein commented:

Blastbeats. You love them, we’ve got them. Death metal has evolved beyond the need for songs without them. This is one of the most punishing, guttural songs we’ve ever written. And by ‘punishing’, I mean punishing ourselves because this song is an absolute nightmare to play. Lots of BRODEQUIN and DISGORGE vibes on this one with an unhealthy dose of the most intelligence-void slam riffs and pitch-shifted LDOH style vocals. If you didn’t need to shower before then you will after hearing this, because it is rancid."

The video was filmed at a graveyard in Bo’ness, Scotland and features an evil cult summoning the anti-Party Slam demon played by our good friend and long time collaborate Hamish Maguire who you may know from the bands LACERATION, OMNIPOTENT HYSTERIA and INIQUITOUS SAVAGERY. We really get what’s coming to us in this video, we’ve been guilty of ruining death metal for a while now and it’s about time someone summoned a bodybuilding demon to deal with us. As with the previous videos, this was produced and directed by our guy Calum McMillan and features SFX work by Katie Cooper and Bailey from Scapegoat.

Stream 'Injuries Are Inevitable' in all of its slammingest glory at the link here, and watch the "Bonus Ambulance" music video below.

Party Cannon will bring the heat across Europe on the EU VOMITOUR 2024 kicking off in one week with Cognitive as support. For ticket information please click here.

PARTY CANNON are BACK with their HEAVIEST, SLAMMINGEST, and DUMBEST album yet; an overwhelming helping of the henchest and most nauseating Party Slam. The band have doubled down on their signature Party Slam style to bring you an experience so IQ-lowering, so soul-crushing, so life expectancy-reducing that we recommend you wear a helmet while listening for your own safety. 'Injuries Are Inevitable' takes us on a deep dive of the infamous Action Park; the world’s un-safest theme park. Through the medium of guttural vocals, rapid blast beats, and anabolic slam riffs you will be taken on an immersive 4D experience of the debauchery, partying, and downright irresponsibility this iconic park had to offer.

No admission for cowards, big dumb party riffs only.

Cameron Alexander Releases New EP "Ice Blue Punk" & New Single "Fight For Fun"!

Friday, April 26th 2024 - Rising pop punk prodigy, Cameron Alexander, has today released his brand new EP "Ice Blue Punk" alongside his latest single, "Fight For Fun". Bursting with infectious anthems, the long-awaited EP release blends his punk attitude and beloved pop sensibilities. Fans can listen to the EP HERE.

With catchy melodies, soaring choruses, and the signature grit of pop punk, Cameron Alexander brings a fresh and contemporary edge to the pop punk sound, drawing inspiration from legends of the genre while infusing it with his unique style. Fans can watch the new visualizer for his latest single, "Fight For Fun" below.

Speaking on "Fight For Fun", Cameron Alexander shares:

"This is one of those songs that came to life off the vibes in the studio alone. I had the pleasure of writing this song with my friend JJ Jones, lead singer of the surf rock band Club Honey. He always brings the energy when we write, and once I laid that initial guitar riff down, it was smooth sailing for us. This is a song that romanticizes the emotional turbulence of dealing with toxic relationships, and how deep down we can't help but enjoy it."

Celebrating the release of his new EP, "Ice Blue Punk", Cameron Alexander adds:

"Growing up in an era where kids like me were more likely to pick up a laptop to make music rather than a guitar, it feels amazing to be apart of the next generation of kids packing out small venues and screaming the music that's there for us through the good times as well as the bad ones. The rock/pop-punk and live music scene has made me the musician I am as much as it's made me the person I am, and "Ice Blue Punk" reflects that wholeheartedly."

Elevated by the collaboration of decorated producers Justin Cortelyou (Taylor Swift, Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires) and Liam Muckala (Anthony Amorim, Tornsey, Eva Snyder), Cameron Alexander has infused his music with a blend of contemporary innovation and timeless authenticity, setting the stage for his rise as an artist to watch in the industry. As more begins to approach on the horizon, be sure to stay tuned for more Cameron Alexander news coming soon.

"Folterkammer should be at the top of every extreme metal fanatic's list of bands to watch as they leave their grim mark on the pages of heavy metal history." - The Metal Mayan

"Folterkammer are not your typical symphonic black metal band, with Weibermacht showing a unique approach and flawless execution." - Heavy Music HQ (4/5)

"[Andromeda] is a tour-de-force, no two ways about it, a hellcat in nine-inch heels who will purr with contentment as she licks your blood from underneath her fingernails." - New Noise Magazine (3/5)

ABOUT RETURN TO DUST

Los Angeles based alternative/grunge rock quartet Return to Dust (Matty Bielawski, Graham Stanush, Sebastian Gonzalez, London Hudson) has already scripted a karmic saga that traverses decades, pays homage to the past, and plants its roots firmly in the future. Listening within their sonic universe is like time-traveling to the halcyon days of the '90s grunge era. Their sound, influenced by heavyweights of the time, reverberates with the echoes of Deftones, Alice In Chains, and the soul of Nirvana — but, their brilliance doesn't stop there. The band draws inspiration from a diverse palette, blending in bits from bands like The Cure, Metallica, and Cage The Elephant, molding them into their own unique musical tapestry.

Return to Dust breathes life into a sound that feels both genuine and tailor-made to encapsulate the essence of a bygone era, leaving fans awash in nostalgia. Yet, it's not merely a mimicry of the past; instead, it's a fusion of the old and the new — an alchemy that conjures a sound distinctly their own. At the core are alluring bass lines (Stanush), gritty guitar riffs (Gonzalez, Bielawski), dynamic drumming (Hudson) and dual lead vocals (Bielawski, Stanush) that harmonize and intertwine, weaving an ethereal soundscape that resonates with raw emotion and unyielding energy. It's a moody concoction that pays homage to an iconic era while fearlessly exploring uncharted territories. Return to Dust beckons audiences into their world, where the past and present converge, igniting a fervor that keeps the flames of grunge alive.

Return to Dust found its meteoric rise propelled by a chance encounter with none other than the illustrious producer Jim Kaufman(Helmet, Everclear, Night Riots). Under Kaufman's mentorship, the band's raw talent began to soar. During the darkest days of the pandemic, when the world stood still, Return to Dust seized the opportunity to channel their collective energy into crafting something profound. The result was their debut LP, a mesmerizing self-titled creation. It was a labor of love and dedication that not only transcended the barriers of personal growth, but also etched the band's name into the future of rock.

A Killer's Confession Share "Martyr" Video — WATCH + Touring Through Spring + Summer

A KILLER'S CONFESSION, newly signed to MNRK HEAVY, have shared their second single.

Today, they drop the video for "Martyr." Watch it Below

"'Martyr' is the second step into the lore of Victim 1," the band says. "This song is the embodiment of acceptance of who you are and what you have to do. Tossing aside what others might think of your actions knowing in the end, it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks."

Regarding the accompanying video, AKC say, "The video for 'Martyr' is the idea of how soldiers from The Crusades will go to church to ask for penance for their actions. The scenery of a simpler time and the camaraderie between the knights says it all. "What we do is for the greater good.'"

"Martyr' follows the band's previously released video for "Greed." Watch it here

Overall, A Killer's Confession explore the captivating repugnance of true crime, set to a soundtrack of melodic hard rock dosed with elements of metal and industrial, on their forthcoming album, the details of which will be announced in due course.

After three seminal albums with Mushroomhead, Reavis retreated from music, only for it to draw him back in 2016. He resurfaced at the helm of A Killer's Confession, delivering three cult favorite albums — Unbroken [2017], The Indifference of Good Men [2019], and Remember [2021]. Along the way, the band tallied tens of millions of streams in addition to collaborating with everyone from Brian "Head" Welch of Korn and Love And Death to Chad Gray of Mudvayne and HELLYEAH. Joined by bassist JP Cross, guitarist James Skritch, and the duo drums of Will Spodnik and Kegan King, they also captivated crowds on tour.

During 2022, Waylon experienced an epiphany. "I had never thought about following a concept like this before," he said. "However, I decided to focus, live up to the name, and be A Killer's Confession."

A Killer's Confession are on the road. All dates are below, including a trio of appearances with Mudvayne.

Platinum-certified band ALL THAT REMAINS are finally back and in a big way — with a brand-new song and video for their explosive new single "DIVINE." Watch it Below.

"Divine" will begin airing simultaneously on Sirius XM's Octane and Liquid Metal today.

"Divine" is ATR's first original new material since the passing of their long-time guitar player Oli Herbert. It also reunites the band with producer and mixing engineer Josh Wilbur (Parkway Drive, Lamb Of God, Trivium, A Day To Remember).

"Divine" ushers in a period of rebirth for the band, who is for the first in its career 100% independent and will be releasing future material on their own label — All That Remains Records

"It's been a long time since All That Remains released new music," says frontman Philip Labonte. "A lot has changed...in both the band, All That Remains, and in the world around us. When we lost Oli in 2018 it was hard to envision a path forward, six years later and I am proud to share 'Divine' with you. All That Remains has new life, and that is thanks to the fans for their years of support. We would not be here without them. Go listen to 'Divine' and hit me up on twiX with your comments."

Additionally, ATR make a triumphant return to the road this summer with Megadeth and Mudvayne. All dates are below.

Led by frontman Philip Labonte, All That Remains features Jason Richardson (ex-Chelsea Grin/solo artist), drummer Anthony Barone, Matt Deis (bass), and Mike Martin [rhythm guitar].

New music from Escuela Grind!

New England extreme metal powerhouse, Escuela Grind today drops the new single/video, 'Always Watching You.'

Recorded at Salem, Massachusetts' GodCity studio with producer Kurt Ballou (High on Fire, Cave In), "Always Watching You" is taken from Escuela Grind's as-yet-untitled new LP, set for an autumn release via MNRK Heavy.

Watch the video for 'Always Watching You,' directed by Zack Perez for Astral Media below.

“Most of "Always Watching You" was written in a practice space by Jesse and Krissy, and refined during soundchecks we had over the year," offers Escuela Grind vocalist Katerina Economou . "I've had this desire to write a song where I could portray the obsessive-stalker-girl archetype through lyrics for a while. Although not physically threatening, it's really interesting that society is so terrified of this stereotype. In "Always Watching You", I wanted this fantastical, Nightmare on Elm Street-style imagery that was rooted in the gore and horror of death metal. Themes of parasocial relationships, anxieties from social media, and an omnipresent algorithm are strongly observed in this song and throughout the entire album."

Sleep Theory Share "Gone Or Staying" Official Video

Breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — were one of the biggest success stories of 2023. With monthly streams numbering at nearly 11 million per month, a Top 10 track at Active Rock, and a full slate of touring though early summer, the band continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Sleep Theory also show absolutely no signs of slowing down, with more music on the horizon!

Today, they release the official video for the hit single "Gone or Staying." Watch it below.

The story-driven video perfectly captures the song's melancholy subject matter — holding on to a bad relationship when you really should just let go and burn it all to the ground, quite literally — and is bathed in beautiful blue tones.

"'Gone or Staying' is a special song to us as a band. In this video, we wanted to capture the tension between a couple's relationship as it comes to an end, and the grieving process of letting go of what once was," the band shares. "Cullen can be seen throughout the video walking through what once was, and eventually burning his past to move on."

The band's Paper Hearts EP is out now via the Epitaph Records. Get the EP, which has been streamed over 87 million times, here.

Sleep Theory are in the middle of a tour with Wage War and Nothing More in the spring. All upcoming Sleep Theory tour dates are below, including festival appearances at Sonic Temple, Rock Fest, So What?!, Welcome to Rockville, and more.

Since bursting onto the scene earlier this year, Sleep Theory have gone from strength to strength. The Paper Hearts EP has established Sleep Theory as one of the most exciting and talked about artists of 2023. The band was praised by Loudwire for its ability to "adapt 2000s arena rock and nu-metal for the future with their anthemic metal-tinged sound that would please any fan of Linkin Park and their ilk. At once enthralling, emotional and disarming, Sleep Theory's supercharged single 'Numb' is everything a radio rock fan could want. You'll be humming it for days after."

With further press coverage from American Songwriter, Billboard, Celebrity Access, and Punktastic and with forthcoming coverage at Men's Journal, Consequence, and Alt Press, they've enjoyed major nods from SiriusXM's Octane. They've toured with everyone from Shinedown to Set It Off to Beartooth, shared stages with I Prevail and Falling In Reverse, and have appeared at Louder Than Life, Rock Fest, ShipRockled, and Point Fest. They also count Jellyroll and Disturbed David Draiman as fans.

FUMING MOUTH DEBUT NEW SINGLE "DAYLIGHT AGAIN" AHEAD OF UPCOMING TOUR

Acclaimed New England death metal band FUMING MOUTH has released a new single, ‘Daylight Again,’ in anticipation for their upcoming US Tour with August Burns Red and festival performances at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple.

The furious new death-sludge track was produced with Kurt Ballou (Full Of Hell, Code Orange, Nails) at GodCity Studios during the band’s Last Day of Sun recording session and is part of the critically acclaimed record’s concept of perseverance, survival and resurrection inspired by vocalist/guitarist Mark Whelan’s battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The single features artwork by sci-fi/fantasy legend Bruce Pennington and is accompanied by the b-side track ‘Timeless,’ an alternate version of ‘Out of Time’ from Last Day of Sun.

Commenting on the new track, Whelan says:

‘Daylight Again’ expresses that the future is bright. It got so dark for the band behind the scenes. We had so many friends die, so many issues. It felt like it would never end.

The song was supposed to be the final track on our album Last Day of Sun but it didn’t fit on the vinyl so we threw it in the vault. It feels appropriate that a song called “Daylight Again” finally gets to see the light of day.”

Overcoming cancer in 2022, Whelan and crew rebounded in late 2023 with Last Day of Sun, setting a new pace for death metal in the process. Featuring the raw, brutal tracks ‘The Silence Beyond Life,’ ‘I’ll Find You’ and ‘Kill The Disease’ the record unravels with cataclysmic riffs and dire, ferocious vocals that take fans on a tumultuous journey through the arduous process of suffering and healing.

About FUMING MOUTH:

A fiery, resurrected rage barrels its way out of hell’s erupting chasms with blistering fury; Fuming Mouth has returned. Lead singer, guitarist, and founder Mark Whelan emerges triumphant after a life-threatening battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, rekindling the inferno of their music with Fuming Mouth's second full-length album, Last Day of Sun.

What initially began as a full-on, fictional concept album underwent a profound transformation into a concept-reality hybrid, largely influenced by Whelan's harrowing conflict with his health and anear brush with death. Just three weeks away from recording the album, Whelan was struck with a devastating cancer diagnosis. While bravely fighting the illness, he rewrote melodies, drum sections, and lyrics, infusing the music with his personal journey of struggle and hope.

The recording sessions began in October 2022, with Grammy Award winning Kurt Ballou of Converge at his studio, God City, in Salem, Massachusetts. Ballou reached out to Whelan after his battle with cancer and encouraged him to get back to their previously scheduled recording session. Working closely with Ballou in both engineering and production, the band found a wonderful and collaborative experience, as Ballou invested himself wholeheartedly in shaping their sound and vision. Salem itself also helped shape the album, as the Halloween Season had begun. Droves of tourists and residents mixing with people in costume made the streets of Salem seem like Last Day of Sun had come to life. The city where the Witch Trials took place presented the perfect setting for the album to be recorded.

At the genesis of this record, there was no other artist that could have captured the album's essence better than Mariusz Lewandowski, with whom the band had already established a creative relationship through his work on the cover art of The Grand Descent. Tragically, Mariusz passed away while working on the album artwork, presenting the band with an immense obstacle to overcome. In tribute to his spirit and legacy, they joined forces with the talented artist Stefan Todorovic who crafted an evocative album cover depicting a Faustian city crumbling amidst the gray and sandy storms of the apocalypse. A colossal monster blocks the sun and hovers above the city as it burns, smoky buildings topple to the ground; all a visual representation of the chaos and darkness that permeates the album.

In the end, Fuming Mouth stands resilient, a testament to the indomitable human spirit. Amidst the carnage and depression lies a flicker of hope - a beacon of light that emanates from within.

Jenna Paulette Continues to Preview Sophomore Album with “Hang Your Hat,” Out Now

Texas native and rising star Jenna Paulette continues to unveil new music following the recent release of redemptive track “Darlin’,” her first single since signing with innovative independent record label Leo33, with today’s release of “Hang Your Hat.” Listen Below.

“I wrote this one with Jim Beavers, Rhett Akins and Smith Ahnquist; Smith had the idea and I instantly fell in love with it,” recalls Paulette.

She continues, “The feel came from wanting something in the vein of ‘Adalida’ –  up tempo and easy to listen to. The hook made it mean something more to me than a simple feel-good song, though: 'I got a heart you can hang your hat on.' Saying to someone you love, ‘hey you can depend on me, I’ll be there in every way.’ That’s where I’m at in life — and I’ve got someone that gave me a safe place to call home, so I’m giving him a heart he can trust.”

“Hang Your Hat” is Paulette’s latest release as she prepares her sophomore album, her first since signing with Leo33. A continuation of her journey of self-discovery, “Hang Your Hat” details her newfound love, as she assures him that she’s dependable through the good times and the bad.

Paulette most recently released The Girl I Was (Red Dirt Deluxe), marking the one-year anniversary of her debut album The Girl I Was, released in March 2023. She swiftly earned critical acclaim from outlets including People Magazine and Grammy.com, was named an Apple Music Country Riser of the Month and was honored among CMT’s Next Women of Country.

She is currently on the road with Aaron Watson as part of his The Armadillo Dance Hall Tour. For more information on new music and upcoming shows, visit jennapaulette.com or follow @JennaPaulette on all social platforms.

About Jenna Paulette:
A CMT Next Women of Country honoree in 2022 and Apple Music’s Country Riser of the Month for March 2023, singer-songwriter Jenna Paulette — a cowgirl who came of age amid the gritty realities of ranch life — is part of Nashville’s growing wave of female artists who are rewriting the rules and charting their own paths. Paulette settled in Nashville in 2015, where she struck up a mentorship with Ashley Gorley – a veteran songwriter with 60+ No. 1 tunes under his belt – which ultimately led to her publishing deal with Sea Gayle Music in June 2021. Since collaborating with songwriters Will Bundy, Rhett Akins and Jessie Jo Dillion, as well as opening for Mason Ramsey, Parmalee, John Michael Montgomery, Clay Walker and most recently Aaron Watson, Paulette has landed brand partnerships with Justin Boots, Boot Barn, Ely Cattleman and Ranch Water.

Her debut album The Girl I Was, is available now, showcasing Paulette’s finely calibrated blend of toughness and sensitivity in tracks like “Country In The Girl” and “Pretty Ugly.” Wearing her heart on her sleeve, Grammy.com remarked it as “transformative,” noting “fuses the sounds of Twain and Miranda Lambert, tackling mental health with the somber ‘You Ain't No Cowboy’ and waxing philosophical on ‘Country In The Girl.’ Paulette continued to spotlight her authentic western lifestyle, performing the national anthem at the National Finals Rodeo, making her Grand Ole Opry Debut and performing in multiple festivals including CMA Fest. Paulette recently signed with independent label Leo33. For more information, visit www.jennapaulette.com.

Dark Tranquillity Video for New Single "Unforgivable"

NEW ALBUM ENDTIME SIGNALS ARRIVES ON AUGUST 16 VIA CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS

Iconic melodic death metal pioneers Dark Tranquillity reveal a new piece of their upcoming album Endtime Signals, out on August 16 via Century Media Records.

The second single is called "Unforgivable" and will appeal to all fans who crave a song that packs a punch, both musically and emotionally. It's a high-energy and rapid, riff-laden track full of surprises, and true to DT's signature sound.

Listen to "Unforgivable" here.

The video for the new track came into being while the band was on tour: Shot during the band's recent tours in Türkiye and Mexico, the video is a manifest of Dark Tranquillity's live energy and presence, and a dedication to their loyal fans all over the world.

Watch the video for "Unforgivable" Below

Mikael Stanne adds, "Shot during our recent tours of Türkiye and Mexico, the 'Unforgivable' clip showcases the band in its true element. From the intense drums of Joakim Strandberg Nilsson to the thunderous bass of Christian Jansson, the song is propelled forward at a pace not heard from the band in many years. Ripping guitars hold the structure fast as the electronic elements further emphasize the urgency and desperation of the track. A fresh surge of creativity and renewed vigour sparked this song that lyrically draws strength from frustration and helplessness in the face of oppression."

In March, the band released the first single "The Last Imagination," which provided a glimpse into the profound journey through the existential depth that is Endtime Signals

Vomit The Soul Drops New Single "Bloodtime" & Chilling Music Video

Italian death metal vanguards, Vomit The Soul, have released another intense sonic assault today with the release of their latest single "Bloodtime", drawn from their much-anticipated album, 'Massive Incineration', slated for release on June 7th via Unique Leader Records. The track comes accompanied by a haunting music video, filmed in an eerie, abandoned church in Turin, Italy — a city notorious for its mystical and esoteric history. Listen to the new track HERE and watch the music video below.

The video's setting, the desolate "Madonna of the vineyards" church built in 1696, adds a chilling layer to the band's ferocious sound. Legend has it that this church was once the stage for dark rituals and black masses, summoning the devil himself until contained by a Vatican-sanctioned exorcist in 1784. The exorcist's mummified sentinels and a mysterious, dual-facing musical score rumored to imprison or release the demon, depending on its rendition, paint a backdrop as macabre as the music of Vomit The Soul.

Speaking on the creation of their latest cinematic offering, Vomit The Soul guitarist, Stefano Rossi Ciucci shares:

"The history behind this videoclip is really interesting. We had to find a place to 'put our apostles of evil and make them dominate the wandering souls' so we found an abandoned church near Turin, Italy that fit perfectly for it. The legend says that some monks and nuns summoned the devil with dark rituals and black masses for many years. In 1784 the Vatican pope sent an exorcist that managed to defeat the demon and relegate him to one of the church's crypts. The pontiff then had the abbey closed and the church deconsecrated. It is also said that sacred music was composed, capable of strengthening the seal that imprisoned the demon. However, this score presents a strangeness: it is two-faced. That is, it can be played either normally, reading it from top to bottom and from left to right, or on the contrary, from bottom to top and from right to left. Legend says that if it is played normally, the music will strengthen the seal imprisoning the demon, but if it is played in reverse the demon will be freed.

Knowing this story, it was particularly exciting to record the parts dressed as apostles, both inside and outside the church. The final result is dark, obscure, gloomy and perfectly describes the contents of the album. At least, the director Maurizio Del Piccolo emphasized everything by making the video chaotic and dynamic, almost bloody."

"Bloodtime" follows previously announced single "Annihilate The Infernal Army" and takes listeners on a descent into the chilling depths of human and supernatural history, wrapped in the complex, brutal soundscapes that Vomit The Soul is renowned for. Both singles serve as a formidable precursor to the full 'Massive Incineration' album release on June 7th. Embrace the darkness with Vomit The Soul's latest creation and delve into a tale as old as time, set to the backdrop of their crushingly brutal death metal.

ABOUT VOMIT THE SOUL

Formed in 2000 by death metal aficionados Max, Ycio, and Denny, Vomit The Soul quickly moved from rehearsal tapes to live gigs and EP recordings, despite lineup changes. Their relentless drive led them to independently release their EP 'Human Insanity' in 2003 and gain traction with intense live performances across Italy. The pursuit of excellence took them offstage to refine their craft, resulting in their well-received debut album 'Portraits Of Inhuman Abominations' in 2005 under Comatose Music, which catapulted them into the international festival circuit, rubbing shoulders with global death metal giants.

Regrouping in 2021 with original members Max and Ycio, joined by new faces Stefano Rossi Ciucci and Davide Billia, the band's evolution continued with the album 'Cold', their first with world renowned independent label, Unique Leader Records, which reasserted their dominance in the genre. The current lineup, including Andrea Pillitu and a role shift for Ciucci, entered MK2 Recording Studio in 2024 to create 'Massive Incineration'. Mixed by Billia and mastered at Hertz Studios, this upcoming album promises to maintain the band’s signature slam brutality with a fresh sound, set for global release on June 7th by Unique Leader Records.

WORMED Announces New Album 'Omegon'

Amidst the most infinite expanses of the universe - where modern advances in technology collide with ancient alien forces - stand the almighty Wormed. The brutal space invaders are poised to take another quantum leap into the world of technical death metal with their highly-anticipated fourth album. Omegon was recorded at BlackStorm Studios and mixed and mastered to perfection by Colin Marston. On lead single "Automaton Virtulague", the band transcend into a crushing and heady new dimension.

Omegon comes out July 5 on Season of Mist.

On "Automaton Virtulague", Wormed twist technical brilliance and brutal elegance into an alternative universe. The song opens a hole into the album's overarching, mind-bending, sci-fi narrative. A shadowy hacker named Krighsu battles against galactic civilizations over the mysterious Omegon, a cosmic substance that defies the grasp of mere mortals. Behind the double helix of guitarists Migueloud and D-Kazar, Phlegton's blackhole growl bends the fabric of space and time.

The video for "Automaton Virtulague" was created by Polyhedron with concepting and post-production by Phlegeton Art Studio.

PRE-ORDER & PRE-SAVE

Space – the final frontier. Yet, when WORMED reach out into the void, the results sound far more like a dark space opera inhabited by bizarre aliens, genetically and technically evolved meta-humans struggling for power and survival in galactic empires. Now, the nano-technological war has been unleashed in the void to defeat the last sower of human life, Krighsu!

Odd-time signatures, avalanches of breaks and complex rhythmical as well as melodic patterns will excite every aficionado of extreme technicality, while growls down-tuned strings and double-bass assaults will more than satisfy extreme metal connoisseurs. While being outstandingly skilled musicians Wormed are avoiding any self-indulgent show of prowess for its own sake. Instead, the five-piece from Madrid clearly lays its emphasis on creating atmospheric songs, which develop and grow along the underlying story.

Originating from Spain's capital Madrid in 1998, Wormed immediately made an impact in the death metal scene with the release of their 'Floating Cadaver in the Monochrome' MCD (1999). Following a promo CD under the title 'Voxel Mitosis' (2001), the first studio album 'Planisphaerium' received high acclaim by critics and fans alike in 2003. In the wake of their debut full-length, the Spanish received invitations to international festival shows and touring around the globe. Wormed performed in Japan alongside GORATORY and VOMIT REMNANTS and afterwards hit Europe with MALIGNANCY and DESPONDENCY.

A creative hiatus, partly due to line-up changes and filled with re-issues of their previous released as well as the single 'Quasineutrality' (2010) finally ended, when their sophomore album 'Exodromos' came out in 2013. On their third full-length 'Krighsu' (2016), the fast-rising Spanish Sci-Fi tech death prodigies are telling a dystopian cosmic story with lyrics and music joined into an overarching concept. Its intense brutality, dissonant dynamic riffing, and tremendous heaviness combined with an amazing futuristic concept, which introduced the character Krighsu – last human in the cosmos, harvested top reviews and saw Wormed headlining in the US and co-headlining in Europe.

In the summer of 2019, Wormed brought their ultra-technical cosmic sonic onslaught to new heights on their 4-track EP ‘Metaportal’, released through Season of Mist. Praised as a monstrously satisfying addition to their catalogue, the EP bridged the gap between their previously released 2016 ‘Krighsu’ and their newest project. Atmospheric yet faithful to the skull-crushing mindboggling textures they’ve given fans over the years, ‘Metaportal’ allowed Wormed to come to terms with the loss of Guillermo Calero in 2018 and move forward.

On ‘Omegon’, Wormed’s upcoming 2024 release, they continue the story of Krigshu, a timeline hacker entangled in manipulation by cosmic forces. As viciously as the aggression they bring on their technically impressive instruments, Krigshu battles his way to unlock the mysteries of Omegon, a mysterious cosmic substance holding ultimate power. With 9 tracks of ultimate interstellar chaos, a story unfolds and Wormed prove yet again that they reign supreme on the technical death metal genre.

AFTERMATH Releases Single "We Don’t Want a Riot" + Official Lyric Video via TLG|ZOID Through Virgin Music Group

AFTERMATH has unveiled the official lyric video for their single "We Don't Want A Riot," set to release on May 10th via TLG|ZOID through Virgin Music Group. The track originally featured on the album No Time to Waste, which debuted on March 17, 2023.

Charlie Tsiolis, vocalist of AFTERMATH, shared insights on the single, stating, "Musically, 'We Don't Want A Riot' channels the punk undertones reminiscent of our earlier work, with an infectious riff. Our aim was for the song's message to resonate with that authentic punk energy. We recognize the timely relevance of the song's message, which transcends political divides. It's a plea for peace, devoid of partisan affiliations, urging listeners to transcend the constraints of party politics."

Chicago based Aftermath, fronted by Kyriakos "Charlie" Tsiolis, formed in October 1985 when Charlie and his schoolmate Steve Sacco (Guitar) got together. This early incarnation with Adam (Bass) and Ray Schmidt (Drums) released their first demo in 1986 featuring “Sentenced to Death”, “Revenge”, “Shotgun” and “The Aftermath”.

In 1987, they unleashed their second demo entitled Killing the Future featuring the tracks “When Will You Die”, “Going No Place”, “Chaos”, “Meltdown” and “War for Freedom”. The band pursued a mind-blowing speed and technical brand of thrash that soon set them apart from the pack and in the process made them a pioneering crossover thrash band.

The tracks "War for Freedom" & "When Will You Die" were both featured on the British Metal Forces magazine_compilation LP Demolition: Scream Your Brains Out in 1988. Their appearance on the Metal Forces compilation further expanded the band's international appeal.

By 1988, the band's musical direction was changing, and Adam's raw and simple bass lines would soon be replaced with complex and technical bass parts handled at first by John Lovette. Ironically, John never played bass on any Aftermath recording and was not even a bass player. He wanted to join the band so badly, however, that he came to the audition with a friend's bass he had just started to play. The speed and complex playing he displayed were like nothing the members had ever seen before on bass. He landed the gig that day. When the band decided it was time to add a second guitarist, Lovette told his bandmates of his desire to switch to guitar and for the first time he came clean he was a guitar player pretending to be a bass player all along. His bass playing was surpassed by his guitar skills and the band found its second guitar player, but unfortunately the search for a bass player was forced to resume. Luckily, the search (for the time being, anyway) ended with Danny Vega. His warm and precise playing was the perfect complement to the guitar playing of Lovette and Sacco and worked amazingly well with Schmidt's powerful drumming. With Lovette handling most of the song writing duties, Aftermath was about to make an unbelievable musical change.

By 1989, that change brought on by Lovette's writing and the band's musical tastes and stylings had slowed and matured as evidenced by the release of the underground classic demo Words That Echo Fear. Danny Vega was replaced on bass by Chris Waldron. The band went onto to become a trailblazing progressive/technical thrash band in the years that followed.

In 1990, based on the huge international success of the Words that Echo Fear demo, the metal label RoadRacer Records (a subsidiary of Roadrunner Records)approached the band for a demo deal, which resulted in a live four track demo featuring the songs “Eyes of Tomorrow”, “Afraid Of Time”, “The Act Of Unspoken Wisdom”and “Reflecting Pictures". Negotiations eventually broke down and Aftermath signed to New York's Big Chief Records. The label's collapse halfway through the recording sessions led to a long delay in finishing the record. While the band struggled to pay the studio bill, the album the band started to record in 1990 would not see the light of day for four years. The experience left the band reeling and forced them to issue the album under their own imprint with the help of their manager through Zoid Recordings in 1994. Four long years had passed since the initial recordings for the record Eyes of Tomorrowand the scene had dramatically changed.

The album was subsequently re-released on Thermometer Sound Surface / Zoid and released yet again four years (1998) later on Black Lotus Records in a re-mastered version.

Quite famously, Aftermath, in a notable court case Tsiolis v. Interscope. Records. Inc., 946 F.Supp. 1344, 1349 (N.D.III. 1996) sued high-profile millionaire rapper DR. DRE over the ownership of the Aftermath name. The Rapper tried to buy the name for $50,000, which the band rejected. The band sued him. As part of the settlement, Interscope Records signed the band. To the label's surprise, the band delivered a record under the moniker Mother God Moviestar. Its eponymous Electro-Metal debut was released in March 1998. The case has been studied in law schools around the US related to the issue of trademark dilution.

Aftermath has continued to receive critical acclaim as one of the major influences in the genre. The band was featured on pages 9 and 10 of Gary Sharpe-Young's A - Z of Thrash Metal, available on Cherry Red Books. Aftermath is also given an entire feature section in Alexandros Anesiadis’ 2019 book Crossover the Edge: Where Hardcore, Punk, and Metal Collide.

Twenty-five years after its formation, Aftermath's music made its return in 2011 with the release of the Box Set 25 YEARS OF CHAOS on Area Death Productions and the vinyl When Will You Die on F.O.A.D. The reemergence of one of the most original thrash bands ever continued in 2014 with their decision to reunite for several concerts in 2015.

Coming off their first show in 20 years at Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse in their hometown of Chicago, the band ripped the stage apart at Headbanger’s Open Air in Hamburg, Germany that summer. In the Fall of 2015, the reunion continued with the reissue of Eyes of Tomorrow. With an expanded booklet and remastered by Paul Logus (Pantera, Steel Panther), Shadow Kingdom Records released the band's debut along with bonus material. Following this release was the Killing the Future reissue on Divebomb Records. Once again Paul Logus remastered the tracks from their original source and created a wall of sound in the process. Killing the Future, along with the expanded booklet and bonus tracks from the band's 1986 first demo completed the celebration of the band's 30th anniversary.

In 2017, the band started writing the material for their new album. There is Something Wrong is an 11-song opus recorded by Chuck Macak. mastered by Ted Jensen and released through Ingrooves by Zoid Entertainment and The Label Group. A concept record in the truest sense of the word, the album features a mix of old-school crossover thrash and technical/progressive metal and is a commentary on what is wrong with the world today. A calling out of the masses to wake up and know the real enemy. The music is urgent, and the lyrics challenge the listener to seek the truth. Aftermath went back to its early days and revived its crossover thrash stylings on several songs, but those are only samples of what the listeners have in store for them once they put on their headphones and listen to There is Something Wrong in its entirety.

In 2020, Aftermath released a re-imagined version of the John Lennon classic, "Give Peace a Chance". The song was remixed and remastered for the new album and included on the record because of the message.

“John Lennon’s urgent call for peace in Give Peace a Chance is more important today than ever, and our call for peace with this cover is the perfect message to follow up our previous album. We released a dark concept album with a bleak message and felt it was important to follow that up with something positive. The visuals in the video are as important as the lyrics in a way. We live in a visual world today and this video needed to get out the message of HOPE. Having a young girl be the focus of the video was our way of getting that across. Seeing only positive acts when she puts on Lennon’s famous glasses was the perfect visual metaphor. Lennon’s message is transmitted not only through his lyrics but also through the perspective created by his unique lenses” says the band.

The video was directed by critically acclaimed video director Steven Nathan in New York City.

Aftermath unleashed their highly awaited masterpiece, No Time to Waste, through Zoid Entertainment/TLG/INgrooves on March 17, 2023. This release stands as the triumphant conclusion to a powerful trilogy, representing a notable departure from the somber tones of its predecessor.

In an exclusive statement, Kyriakos "Charlie" Tsiolis shared, "We take immense pride in this album, a culmination of a trilogy that commenced with our debut. Crafted during a challenging era in contemporary history, 'No Time to Waste' emerges as an anthem of hope. In contrast to our previous dark conceptual endeavor, we've refined this record. The ten tracks within are both weighty and charged, delivering a potent metal experience coupled with a profound message - that collectively, we can overcome, but time is of the essence."

AFTERMATH is:
Kyriakos "Charlie" Tsiolis - Vocals
Steve Sacco - Guitar
Ray Schmidt - Drums
George Lagis - Bass

Irish Folk / Celtic Rock Band JOLLY JACKERS Release New Album 'Welcome to the Grind'!

Irish Folk/Celtic Rock band JOLLY JACKERS unveiled their latest masterpiece, Welcome to the Grind," now available on all major platforms since April 26, 2024. With spirited melodies and electrifying rhythms, they invite listeners on an unforgettable journey through the heart of their musical realm. Get ready to be swept away by their signature blend of tradition and innovation as they infuse every note with the soul-stirring spirit of Ireland.

"This album is different than our previous ones. It’s a rainbow of feelings, with the lowest lows and the highest highs in it. For the first time, we are telling you stories from the deep corners of our minds, things we haven’t talked about before. You’ll meet demons, nightmares, and dark thoughts haunting our minds… But also hope, and maybe the power as well to fight them all in the end," says the band.

They add, "We have reached the most important record of our career so far. In our first 10 years, there were a lot of changes in membership (22?) while we were constantly working. 5 albums, 5 singles, and nearly 400 concerts in 14 countries are our record. Many could not stand this pace and left. The last time we almost hit the ground running was a month before we recorded the album, but one of our founders, Rea, led the band and we decided to stay five of us and still make this record."

Miranda Lambert's "Wranglers" Arrives

Miranda Lambert has never flinched when it comes to her music. Full-tilt, strong as hell, she’s been the go-to woman for tender toughness and reckoning when it comes to no-good men. Having announced her alliance with Republic Records with strategic support from the Nashville-based Big Loud, the most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history and triple Grammy-winner now drops “Wranglers,” her first single under her new deal. Listen HERE.

A tour du force of empowerment in the face of a less than stand-up paramour, “Wranglers” burns like heatwaves in the desert – and announces the next wave of the maverick groundbreaker’s creative sojourn. With tart vocals and electric barbed wire guitars turned up, the slow broil churn seizes on the slow death of love, the callousness of men who won’t see and the strength of a woman who sets destiny in motion and survives in its wake.

“‘Wranglers’ is a classic tale of a woman taking her power back,” Lambert says of the sizzling post-Outlaw classic. “I think we can all identify with the character in this song, because we have all had a time in our life where we needed to find our strength, and also get a little revenge on someone who did us wrong or hurt us. This offers such a cool, raging take on how something like this unravels; I think the songwriters nailed it.”

Written by Audra Mae, who also sings on the track, Evan McKeever and Ryan Carpenter, “Wranglers” opens with a foreboding, brittle tangle of electric guitars that suggest Neil Young’s Crazy Horse as much as Waylon Jennings in his prime. What emerges is a forceful kind of country that’s as strong as it is hypnotic, delivering a hard-won freedom song for anyone leaving a situation that didn’t serve them.

Working with fellow Grammy-winning songwriter/producer Jon Randall, they convened a band of iconic musicians at Austin’s storied Arlyne Recording Studios. Given Lambert’s passion for songs that cut straight into the gut, they created a sonic vista where consequences feel palpable; where Jedd Hughes and Ethan Ballinger’s electric guitar convergence is as fraught as the fevered clouds of B-3 from Texas legend Bukka Allen. With Rachel Loy’s bass lumbering across Conrad Choucroun’s sticks-on-the-rims drum part, pressure builds as Lambert’s siren’s cry pulls listeners in. Heavy, but not gratuitous, there’s a tension as Lambert half coos, half sings the kind of song that defined her career, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned/ When the knock down drag out’s over/ And Lord knows she took one too many... “

“I am so proud to sing this song,” Lambert says. “It feels like it could have been on the same record as ‘Gunpowder & Lead’ in a lot of ways. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned is a pretty powerful statement, and the way it’s written, you can tell, we’re not kidding.”

Lambert debuted the song with a live performance at the Stagecoach Festival over the weekend, with the Tennessean praising the moment as kicking off “the next chapter of Miranda Lambert’s legendary career” and Rolling Stone celebrating the live debut as “a smoldering track rooted firmly in one of Lambert’s favorite topics, payback,” with Variety proclaiming of the hit-packed set as a whole, “whoever the entertainer of the year may be at any given recent point, Lambert has a strong claim on being country’s entertainer of the two-decades.”

Now available on all streaming platforms, “Wranglers” displays Lambert’s signature don’t-tread-on-me ethos, but also suggests a creative force finding new levels. Having delivered the rowdy girl’s soundtrack for almost two decades, the East Texas songwriter/superstar continues making music that speaks to the heart of women who love hard, live out loud and are fearless about how they take on the world around them.

“Country music at its core tells the truth about life, but it makes you feel something,” Lambert says. “Sometimes you laugh. Sometimes you throw your fist in the air. Sometimes that fist goes through the wall. All I know is I’ve got a lot more to say, and a lot more music coming soon. So for anyone who’s ever seen themselves in one of my songs, especially the rowdy ones, get ready! We wanted to come with something that really says something from the start. And there’s a whole lot of feelings and rhythms and great playing to come.”

Lambert was also recently announced as a performer at the upcoming ACM Awards, airing May 16 live from Ford Center at The Star in her home state of Texas, exclusively on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch. In addition, her headlining live show returns to the road with a three-night stand at New Braunfels, Texas’ iconic Whitewater Amphitheater later this month with coast-to-coast tour dates running throughout the summer plus major festivals including Rock the Country, Calgary Stampede, Under the Big Sky and more.
