Sleep Theory Drop "III" Video — WATCH // Headline Tour Kicks Off Next Month

Breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — recently announced their eagerly awaited debut album, Afterglow, which arrives on May 16 via Epitaph Records. The album offers a stunning display of diverse rock flavors and was produced by David Cowell and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Omens, Architects). Pre-order it here

They are sharing the video for new single "III."

Watch it below.

The song is a thrill ride, mixing synths and raucous riffing with the band's signature, stadium-sized melodies.

"At its core, 'III' is about betrayal," shares Moore about the intensely personal subject matter. "It's that gut-wrenching feeling when someone you trusted completely lets you down. The song dives into that pain, but it's also about facing the truth, even when it hurts and realizing not everyone is who they say they are."

He continues, "I want people to really think about who they let into their lives. Not everyone deserves your trust, and sometimes, those closest to you can do the most damage."

However, the song is meant to inspire hope and to find the positives that are embedded in a painful moment. Moore finishes, "But beyond, it's about learning from those experiences rather than letting them break you. If this song helps someone feel less alone in that kind of situation, then it's done its job."

"III" follows "Static," which peaked at No. 16 on Spotify Viral 50 in the U.S. and is the band's fastest-growing song to date, with over 12 million streams since its release. The album's lead single "Stuck In My Head" ascended to the No. 1 lot on the Active Rock radio charts — a first for the band! The song is currently No. 26 and building at Alternative radio. All told, Sleep Theory have accumulated 300 million streams across nine singles in their brief but blockbuster career thus far.

Sleep Theory will embark on its first-ever headline tour, kicking off on May 20 in Birmingham, Alabama and winding through the U.S. before wrapping on June 28 in their hometown of Memphis. The band has also booked appearances at select festival dates.  Support will come from Nevertel,  Oxymorrons, and Stray View. Get tickets here

Today, Sleep Theory storm headlong into 2025 by announcing their eagerly awaited debut album, Afterglow, which arrives on May 16 via Epitaph Records

Sleep Theory Share "Gone Or Staying" Official Video

Breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — were one of the biggest success stories of 2023. With monthly streams numbering at nearly 11 million per month, a Top 10 track at Active Rock, and a full slate of touring though early summer, the band continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Sleep Theory also show absolutely no signs of slowing down, with more music on the horizon!

Today, they release the official video for the hit single "Gone or Staying." Watch it below.

The story-driven video perfectly captures the song's melancholy subject matter — holding on to a bad relationship when you really should just let go and burn it all to the ground, quite literally — and is bathed in beautiful blue tones.

"'Gone or Staying' is a special song to us as a band. In this video, we wanted to capture the tension between a couple's relationship as it comes to an end, and the grieving process of letting go of what once was," the band shares. "Cullen can be seen throughout the video walking through what once was, and eventually burning his past to move on."

The band's Paper Hearts EP is out now via the Epitaph Records. Get the EP, which has been streamed over 87 million times, here.

Sleep Theory are in the middle of a tour with Wage War and Nothing More in the spring. All upcoming Sleep Theory tour dates are below, including festival appearances at Sonic Temple, Rock Fest, So What?!, Welcome to Rockville, and more.

Since bursting onto the scene earlier this year, Sleep Theory have gone from strength to strength. The Paper Hearts EP has established Sleep Theory as one of the most exciting and talked about artists of 2023. The band was praised by Loudwire for its ability to "adapt 2000s arena rock and nu-metal for the future with their anthemic metal-tinged sound that would please any fan of Linkin Park and their ilk. At once enthralling, emotional and disarming, Sleep Theory's supercharged single 'Numb' is everything a radio rock fan could want. You'll be humming it for days after."

With further press coverage from American Songwriter, Billboard, Celebrity Access, and Punktastic and with forthcoming coverage at Men's Journal, Consequence, and Alt Press, they've enjoyed major nods from SiriusXM's Octane. They've toured with everyone from Shinedown to Set It Off to Beartooth, shared stages with I Prevail and Falling In Reverse, and have appeared at Louder Than Life, Rock Fest, ShipRockled, and Point Fest. They also count Jellyroll and Disturbed David Draiman as fans.

The video features intense performance footage colliding with equally intense apocalyptic imagery, both of which fit the urgency of the song. It's a continuation of the end-of-the-world theme seen in the video for "
Numb."

It premiered over at Knotfest.com. Watch it

"Creating 'Fallout' was a very personal for us, and seeing the music video come to life was surreal," the band states. "The emotion in the track is something we poured our hearts into, and we're thrilled that it resonates so powerfully with our fans. [Director] Orie [McGuiness] took our vision and elevated it beyond expectations. The way the music video captures the essence of the song is amazing. We truly couldn't have asked for a better visual representation for this song."

Sleep Theory Release "Paper Hearts" EP

"Sleep Theory follow in the path of bands like Sevendust in weaving soulful vocal melodies, groove-heavy guitar work and an infectious bounce as their stylistic signature." – Knotfest

Fresh off a captivating performance at Louisville's Louder Than Life Festivalthis past weekend, breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — have released their Paper Hearts EP today, September 29, via the Epitaph Records. Get it

The EP features two buzzy singles — "
Numb" and "Gone or Staying" — which have established Sleep Theory as one of the most exciting and talked about bands of 2023.

"As Sleep Theory, we've poured our hearts and souls into crafting our debut EP Paper Hearts and we're beyond thrilled to share this musical journey with the world," the band shares. "Each track is a piece of our collective soul, woven into melodies and lyrics that resonate with our experiences and emotions. Since bursting onto the scene earlier this year, Sleep Theory have gone from strength to strength. With press coverage from American Songwriter, Billboard, Celebrity Access, Knotfest, and Loudwire, as well as major nods from SiriusXM's Octane, Sleep Theory have had a huge 2023 and are gearing up for an even bigger 2024.

With Sleep Theory, the numbers don't lie.

Rather, the stats tell an impressive story that continues to grow and evolve as the band heads towards the stratosphere.

Sleep Theory's recent single "Numb" — watch the video
below— follows the band's debut single "Another Way," which arrived in January 2023 and amassed 500k views on TikTok within 36 hours of release. "Gone or Staying" arrived next, and all three songs combined have generated over 25 million streams, while "Numb" and "Another Way" both shot to No. 1 on SiriusXM's Octane Chart. The reaction was intense and swift, and as such, the band was also selected for SiriusXM/Pandora's Artist Accelerator Program and will be a part of their Next Wave Concert Series this fall. Additionally, "Numb" rose to No. 1 on on Octane's BigUns four (!!!) times.

This all happened in the span of the past nine months.

But what seemed like an overnight success (or an "industry plant" playing to the algorithm, as some trolls have incorrectly theorized) has actually been years in the making. And it's paying off.

Since retiring from the U.S. Army several years ago, Moore has dedicated his life to carving his own path in the music industry.

Officially starting Sleep Theory in 2019, the current incarnation of his musical journey began as a studio project to fuse his love of hard rock, funk, and R&B.

Now a four-piece band, which came to be on the back of a chance meeting via Facebook Marketplace, Sleep Theory have achieved a pair of No. 1 singles, played their first run of shows to massive crowds, and signed to Epitaph Records. Combining metalcore-like breakdowns with bluesy grooves and a pop sensibility made for modern radio, "Numb" has ascended to the No. 19 position on the Active Rock chart.

Sleep Theory wrapped summer touring runs with Set It Off and Shinedown, and also played shows with I Prevail, Badflower, and more.

Their 2024 touring plans are extensive and will be announced soon!

Sleep Theory Announce "Paper Hearts" EP + Share "Gone or Staying"

Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt bassistPaolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — announced their signing to Epitaph Records earlier this summer. Today, the band has announced that it will release the Paper Hearts EP on September 29 via the label. Pre-order it here.

The band has also shared "Gone or Staying." Watch it
below.

''Gone or Staying' is the breaking point in a relationship that is built on emotions and broken promises. It is the stuggle between wanting things to work and the need to move on," the band explains.

The numbers don't lie.

Sleep Theory's recent single "Numb"  — follows the band's debut single "Another Way," which arrived in January 2023 and amassed 500k views on TikTok within 36 hours of release. Together, the two tracks have generated over 16 million streams and each shot to No. 1 on SiriusXM's Octane Chart, sitting in the top slot for three weeks a piece. The reaction was intense, and as such, the band was also selected for SiriusXM/Pandora's Artist Accelerator Program and will be a part of their Next Wave Concert Series in September. This all happened in the span of six months.

But what seemed like an overnight success (or an "industry plant" playing to the algorithm, as some trolls theorized) has actually been years in the making.

Since retiring from the U..S Army several years ago, Moore has dedicated his life to carving his own path in the music industry.

Combining metalcore-like breakdowns with bluesy grooves and a pop sensibility made for modern radio, "Numb" has landed at No. 31 on the Active Rock chart.

Sleep Theory just wrapped up a tour with Shinedown, which happened to be their first tour ever, and that they will be supporting Set It Off later this month.

Introducing Sleep Theory! Band Signs to Epitaph + Shares "Numb" Video — WATCH😴

EPITAPH RECORDS is pleased to welcome rock band Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — to its global roster.

"We knew the moment we first met with Epitaph that it was the place we were meant to be," the band exclaims. "Their vision for the band perfectly aligned with ours, and their enthusiasm was second to none. We are beyond excited to be part of the Epitaph family, and call this place our new home."

To celebrate the new partnership, the band has shared the video for the recent single "
Numb." Watch it Below

"Working with [director] Orie [McGinness] on this video was such an incredible experience," the band says. "His vision for 'Numb' was phenomenal, and he truly brought this song to life in ways that we could have only dreamed of."

Sleep Theory's trajectory thus far has been lightning quick and impressive, to say the least.

The numbers don't lie. "Numb" follows the band's debut single "Another Way," which arrived in January 2023 and amassed 500k views on TikTok within 36 hours of release. Together, the two tracks have generated over 13 million streams and each shot to No.

Looking ahead, Sleep Theory will support both Shinedown and Set It on separate tours this summer, with showcases how versatile their sound is and how it appeals to all genres of fans. More touring is planned through 2024, as is more new music!
