Cody Johnson Joins Randy Houser on “Cancel” as NOTE TO SELF DELUXE Arrives

With the arrival of Note To Self Deluxe, multi-Platinum artist Randy Houser releases a collaborative take of his song “Cancel” featuring country superstar Cody Johnson via Magnolia Music Group. Listen to “Cancel” and Note To Self Deluxe HERE.

Written by Houser and co-produced with Jay Tooke, “Cancel” draws on spiritual introspection to promote forgiveness, calling for empathy while emphasizing the importance of listening to others and avoiding judgment.

“After I wrote it, I went on Cody’s bus, and we talked about cutting it together,” shares Houser. “I was honored that something so meaningful to me was also important enough to him to want to be a part of it.”

With four new collaborations, Note To Self Deluxe expands on his 2022 project, praised by Saving Country Music as “an album full of rich tones and expressive moments, and best of all is the vocals of Randy Houser himself,” while Tennessean shares that his “forthright songwriting expresses blue-collar and home-grown values.”

Previously released tracks “Still That Cowboy” with Miranda Lambert, boasted by Billboard as a “top-shelf track” and “a match made in heaven” by Whiskey Riff, along with “Rub A Little Dirt On It” with Riley Green and “Country Round Here Tonight” with Justin Moore, are also featured on Note To Self Deluxe.

Last week during one of two sold-out electrifying performances at Bridgestone Arena as part of Johnson’s Leather Deluxe Tour, Houser was surprised mid-set by his son Huck and actor Johnny Galecki, who presented him with a RIAA Certified-Gold plaque for title track “Note To Self,” marking Houser's first Gold record with Magnolia Music Group.

Houser returned to Australia last month and rang in the New Year with a performance at the Sydney Opera House in addition to a sold-out solo-acoustic show in Melbourne. Houser will perform at festivals across the U.S. this summer, including Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam, Roostertail Music Festival, Lakefront Music Fest and the Red, White & Brauen Festival.

Ian Munsick Announces 3rd Album ‘Eagle Feather,’ Due April 18, 2025

With the 2023 release of his sophomore album White Buffalo, Wyoming native Ian Munsick spread the Rocky Mountain gospel with his raw, untamed depiction of the American West. Expanding on the concepts of the land, people, culture and stories that inspire him, Munsick is readying the project’s follow-up, announcing his 20-track third studio album, Eagle Featherdue on April 18, 2025 via Warner Music Nashville.

While the white buffalo represents prosperity and rebirth, the eagle feather is inspired by the native symbol representing honor, strength and wisdom, and serves as a continuation of his sophomore project by highlighting Munsick’s personal growth through life experiences and lessons learned that have shaped him into who he is.

Eagle Feather is a tribute to a sacred way of life. One that epitomizes the voice of country music, yet is rarely heard among the masses,” Munsick reflects on the album’s concept. “Every one of these 20 songs is rooted in true, personal experiences that have helped create the man I am today. I offer this body of work to anyone that loves the freedom that inspires our spirit when we look over a sunset on the mountain. Or the sanctity of returning to the people and places we care about the most. May you both receive and gift your Eagle Feather.”

Produced by Munsick, Jared Conrad and Jeremy Spillman, Eagle Feather features 20 tracks, including duets with Lainey Wilson and Flatland Cavalry lead singer Cleto Cordero, with songwriter credits by fellow singer/songwriters Caitlyn Smith and Stephen Wilson Jr. as well as two rare outside cuts in “Drink Around” and today’s release, “Horses Not Hearts.”

Available today and written by Andy Albert, Michael Tyler and Ben Stennis, “Horses Not Hearts” debunks the common trope that often paints cowboys as heartbreakers on the run. “All the best cowboys I know are men of character. People that you’d want as your neighbor,” Munsick observes, “but somewhere along the trail, cowboys got a reputation of being heartbreaking outlaws who run recklessly through the world. I thought it was time to set the record straight… real cowboys break horses, not hearts.”

Munsick followed the release of White Buffalo with a coinciding documentary in 2024 titled White Buffalo: Voices of the West, expanding on the album’s concept by exploring the modern-day relationship between cowboys, ranchers and Native American tribes, and how they often rely on each other to live off the land out west. The documentary received 19 awards and 14 film festival selections, and was recently named Best Documentary of 2024 by Cowboys & Indians. The Crow Tribe officially adopted Munsick last year during his sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre debut following his work with them on the documentary.

Munsick is currently headlining his spring 2025 Horses Are Faster Tour featuring a rotating lineup of support including Colby Acuff, Avery Anna, Chayce Beckham, Bayker Blankenship, Kashus Culpepper, Hudson Westbrook and Jake Worthington. In 2024, Munsick opened on select dates of Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again Tour and supported Morgan Wallen on select dates of his record-setting One Night At A Time Tour.

He has been named an “Artist to Watch” by Spotify, CMT, Fender, MusicRow and most recently was named a Martin Showcase Artist. The Warner Music Nashville recording artist and multi-instrumentalist is representing his home, and its special cast of people, like never before. The first release from White Buffalo, standout duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson), hit No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown, was named one of Amazon Music’s Best Country Songs of 2022 and recently received RIAA Gold-certification alongside “Long Haul” and “Horses Are Faster.” Fans of Ian Munsick will always find an open heart, natural awe and plainspoken honesty as he rides on… bringing the West to the rest. PARMALEE UNVEILS UPLIFTING NEW SONG “FEELS LIKE HOME” AHEAD OF FELL IN LOVE WITH A COWGIRL ALBUM OUT APRIL 4

As their current single “Cowgirl” climbs the country radio charts, multi-PLATINUM country sensation Parmalee, known for five #1 singles and a genre-bending sound, is set to captivate fans once again with the release of their newest uptempo track “Feels Like Home.” The heartwarming song, which blends power-ballad lyrics into an irresistible country-pop swagger, is a testament to the transformative feeling of finding that special someone who makes you feel truly at home.

“We’ve always believed that music can transport someone to a place where they feel like they belong, where they feel right at home,” said the band. “We also believe that the right person can do that too. That’s what this song is about. That one who makes you feel right at home when you’re with them.  We wanted to make sure to keep the energy going with this one and make sure everyone could sing along with us, just like all the songs that have connected us with our fans!”

Written by Matt Thomas, David Fanning, Ashley Gorley, Beau Bailey, and Ned Cameron, “Feels Like Home” paints a picture of love as a safe haven — a place that, much like one’s hometown, resonates with comfort and familiarity.

“Feels Like Home” is the second track released from their forthcoming new album Fell In Love With A Cowgirl, available April 4. Fans can pre-order/pre-save/pre-add the album here. The seven-track collection launches the first part of a two-album series that magnifies Parmalee’s distinctive mix of storytelling and swagger. Their music offers a fresh take on love and adventure, celebrating both life’s grand milestones and everyday moments.

Their new single, “Cowgirl,” was released last month with MusicRow Magazine saying of the song, “Bopping and merry. The galloping electronic tempo, compressed production, and rapid-fire vocals describe tumbling head over heels in love. Catchy as can be.”

Parmalee’s evolution from chart-topping hits to innovative new sounds continues to solidify their place at the forefront of the country genre. With “Feels Like Home,” the band invites listeners on a musical journey that’s equal parts nostalgic and refreshing—an anthem for anyone who’s ever found solace in love.

About Parmalee:

As the most-played group/band on Country Radio in 2023, Parmalee is one of Country Music's most successful acts with five #1 singles, multiple platinum records, and over 1 Billion on-demand streams. Parmalee is comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas (lead vocals/guitar and drums, respectively), Cousin Barry Knox (bass), and lifelong friend Josh McSwain (guitar/keyboard). The North Carolina natives first topped the charts with “Carolina,” followed by their PLATINUM-certified No. 1 single with Blanco Brown, “Just the Way.” They followed with “Take My Name,” Billboard’s Most Played Country Song of 2022. They scored their third consecutive #1 single with “Girl In Mine,” Billboard’s 8th Most Played Country Song of 2023. They closed out 2024 with their fourth consecutive #1 “Gonna Love You.” Parmalee kicked off their new “Fell In Love With A Cowgirl” Tour in February, hitting stages across North America in 2025, before dropping their latest album of the same name on April 4.

London Metal Trio URNE Release Double A-Side Singles "Throes Of Grief" and Cover of Black Sabbath's "I"

Today, London metal trio URNE continue to re-define the world of epic arena metal and the sacred power of The Riff with brand new single, "Throes Of Grief" plus a spectacular cover of Black Sabbath’s "I".

Over the course of two studio albums plus a touring schedule taking in key festival appearances, including Download in the UK, URNE have shown that heavy music can also be heavy with atmosphere and intent.

With the new singles "I" / "Throes Of Grief", their first release since moving from Candlelight to Spinefarm, the group give a nod to the past whilst keeping eyes set on the future; "Throes Of Grief" is a new original, a tightly-wound three and a half minutes of incessant guitar and vocal fire-power, featuring a signature guest solo from Avatar guitarist Tim Öhrström, while "I"sees the band putting their own weighty stamp on Dio-era Sabbath.

Largely, it’s the Ozzy-era of Sabbath that gets the cover treatment, but URNE frontman Joe Nally (the band is completed by Angus Neyra on guitar and James Cook on drums) has long held a love for the later Dio period and "I" in particular.

Nally explains:

’I’ is a song I’ve been wanting to cover for about 15 years; the song is one of Sabbath's heaviest - lyrically and vocally, it’s Dio at his most evil and wicked. No one is really in the same league as Dio vocally so I had to approach it in a different way. It was a challenge but one that really changed the game for me vocally. We are approaching 15 years since Ronnie James Dio passed but he certainly isn’t forgotten. This is our way of paying our respects and saying thank you for the music.”

On "Throes Of Grief", Nally adds:

“Around the time of writing this I was listening to 'Countdown to Extinction' by Megadeth, so of course I was inspired by Dave & co. and if you write fun metal, you want a killer solo to go with that and who better to ask, than our good friend Tim Öhrström from the mighty Avatar. Tim has such a cool and unique style, I knew I wanted him to play something on this. 'Throes' along with 'I', is us having fun but also paying our respects to those who paved the way for bands like ours.”

Together, these songs make it clear that a brand-new chapter in URNE history is ready to unfold.

YOUR SPIRIT DIES ANNOUNCE 'MY GNAWING PAINS WILL NEVER REST' DEBUT ALBUM

South Carolina metal/hardcore outfit YOUR SPIRIT DIES will unleash their My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest debut full-length on May 2nd via their new label home of MNRK Heavy. The band presents their first single, “In The Depths Of Grief,” and album preorders.

Small towns across America are home to countless untold stories, and Columbia, the state capital of South Carolina, is no exception. With a population just over 140K, this city may be small, but it’s big on spirit. YOUR SPIRIT DIES, hailing from this very place, channels that humble yet fierce energy, embodying an underdog work ethic and an unstoppable fire. After buzzing nationwide and earning acclaim from the likes of Brooklyn Vegan, No Echo, and more, the group shares their story on My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest.

“The record encapsulates every single thing we’re about,” notes vocalist Brandon Byars. “We’re five people who were born in small towns in the South. We were never supposed to leave these places; we were ‘supposed’ to live and die here. For us, the simple fact we’re doing this is huge. We tried to craft an album that stands on its own, and we busted our asses to make it as different as we possibly could.”

Comments Scott Givens, MNRK’s SVP of Rock and Metal, on the band’s signing, “YOUR SPIRIT DIES is an amazing young band and they make a great addition to the MNRK Heavy family.”

The members of YOUR SPIRIT DIES each cut their teeth in other regional favorites, with Byars and guitarist Holden Hall in Remembrance, guitarist Tyler Dorman in Hopesick, and bassist Keagan McChesney in Soul Press, while Brannon Crumpton does double duty on drums in Moru. The band arrived in 2020 with the debut EP, The Process Of Grief. Two years later, they accelerated their ascent with a follow-up EP, Our Saints Drown In Ash. Earning critical acclaim, BrooklynVegan hailed the track “2000 Needles” “a raw, heavy metalcore song,” and No Echo raved, “The South Carolina-based quintet brings to mind the golden era of Trustkill Records.” Distorted Sound professed, “the band can receive no less than full marks for their command of the genre’s essentials.”

And the command continues as they bulldoze a path for My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest, with tracks like “Serpentine” featuring Dan Weyandt of Zao. Piercing fretwork rains down over a double bass beatdown, alternating between guttural growls and haunting spoken word. Byars’ roar explodes with a warning, “You will die alone.”

Melodic guitar and ominous orchestration set the tone for “Unjust God,” giving way to rapid-fire drums and black metal style tremolo picking. The barrage barely lets up as Byars screams, “I stare into the eyes of an unjust god,” bleeding into a bold clean chorus. “I lived in a Southern Baptist home for my entire life,” he reveals. “Early on, I knew it was something I wasn’t interested in. The title, My Gnawing Pains Will Never Rest, is a line from the Book of Job. The whole book is about God giving Job all of these trials and messing him up pretty badly. The song ponders, ‘Is God just?’”

Then there's the lead single “In The Depths Of Grief.” Squeals practically choke the groove as the breakdown quakes with impressive force. “It’s personal,” he elaborates. “My mom is seventy-one, and she just got back from the hospital. ‘In The Depths Of Grief’ is about watching your loved ones grow older, wither, and eventually die. She isn’t there yet, but she has bad heart problems. When I was a teen, we had our differences. I did the whole rebel thing and got into stuff I probably shouldn’t have. I’m not as angry as I was, so our relationship is definitely better than it’s ever been.”

Of their upcoming 2025 material, guitarist Brooks offered, "This EP is a roller coaster. We're melding together a handful of different styles, bringing in electronic elements, some R&B elements, and jazzy vibes. We're also trying to bring back the heavier energy. We’re interested in making something that feels real."

The first taste of their latest iteration, Framing Hanley released "Mean It," showcasing the band's instrumentation and ability to create chantable choruses for their crowds to sing along. Of the single, Nixon spills, "We felt that 'Mean It' was the perfect reintroduction, if you will, of Framing Hanley in 2025. Miranda Lambert Embraces the Wild West in Official Music Video for "Run"

Dubbed by NPR as “the backbone of contemporary Country music,” Miranda Lambert expands her celebrated Postcards from Texas  musical chapter with an official music video for upcoming single “Run,” impacting at Country radio this coming Monday, Feb. 24. Embracing the sense of freedom and the three-time GRAMMY Award-winner’s fiercely independent spirit on display in the song’s lyrics, the video directed by Kate Rentz is out now. Watch Below.

Pulled from the archives for her latest critically acclaimed album, the solo-penned song written around the time of The Weight of These Wings found its rightful home on Postcards from Texas, with MusicRow declaring, “The thrilling, pumping production sets your pulse racing. The lyric of regret, deception and escape grabs your ear. Her voice, as always, rules your heart. An artist at the top of her game with a mini masterpiece.” Billboard also praises “Run” as “the singer-songwriter at her best…Heartfelt and heart-wrenching, she sings of regret while accepting wildflower ways,” while American Songwriter highlights it as the album’s “most vulnerable moment.”

“I wasn’t ever ready to perform it until now,” Lambert shared of the anthem with Kelleigh Bannen on “Today’s Country Radio.” “That’s what songs are for, and you may not be ready at that one time to sing about something really raw… but then it can come back around,” adding that the song is “an admission of human error too…It’s an apology, but it’s also a resolve.”

Filmed at Don Donnelly’s D Spur Ranch & Riding Stables in Gold Canyon, Ariz., the striking desert visuals bring the vulnerable song to life with Lambert surrounded by mirrors, wildflowers and horses—including her own horse, Cool, who joined Lambert’s stable in 2024 as she embraced a new hobby of mounted shooting.

“There is always a sense of freedom when you’re on the back of a horse with the wind in your hair, so it felt really significant to have Cool with me in this video,” reflects Lambert. “I love horses because they’re a way to run to something – or away if you need to. I started riding when I turned 30 and wanted to try more things that scared me. Now horses are such a passion of mine and mounted shooting is a brand-new way to push myself and to chase that feeling of being bravely true to yourself, which is exactly what this song is about.”

“Run” follows “Wranglers” as the second single off Postcards from Texas, which arrived in September and continued her unbroken streak of 10 consecutive Top 10s on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Lambert is also set to join Morgan Wallen for several stadium dates of the upcoming I’m The Problem Tour, plus headlining sets at festivals and one-off dates this including Two Step Inn, Country Stampede, Lakefront Music Fest, Field & Stream Music Fest and more.

46 years since emerging, Liverpool's The Room shares 'Nemesis' from post-punk folklore album 'The Telling'

Liverpool post-punk pioneers The Room are back with 'Nemesis', the potent second single from their latest album 'The Telling', presenting their trademark blend of progressive, alternative pop and sultry post-punk. As with the lead track 'The Teller', the accompanying video was produced by Mark Jordan. A magical sonic adventure for fans of 80s post-punk and folk-horror aesthetics alike.

Firm favourites of the late great John Peel, The Room formed in 1979 in the golden years of northern English post-punk. In 2023, they re-formed after a lengthy hiatus, releasing their critically acclaimed 'Restless Fate' album, their first release in 38 years. Their melodic blend of progressive, alternative pop and sultry post-punk is as fresh and relevant now as when they disbanded in 1985.

Formed by singer Dave Jackson and bassist Becky Stringer, they are joined by original drummer Clive Thomas, along with guitarist Darren Brown, keyboardist Ethan Kyme, and the haunting backing vocals of Helena Jacks.

'Nemesis' is from the midpoint of 'The Telling' story. Rusalka, the shape shifter, trapped in her aquatic human form returns to wreak vengeance on the priest and those others who murdered her lover. The village is haunted by evil dreams and deaths by drowning until they sacrifice their priest to the river. The song features bassist Becky Stringer on clarinet for the first time and her son Ethan on piano.

Consisting of 11 songs, the album shares a continuous narrative through all the following songs over a blend of post-punk music, like a sort of aural folk-horror feature film. Set in a mythical 17th-century European forest, 'The Telling' follows a traveling storyteller, who mesmerizes an isolated village with macabre tales of wonder, mystery and the supernatural - of shapeshifters, wolves and ravens... of a love affair between Baba Yaga's adopted daughter and Grendel's long-lived brother, and some witch-finders who come under their hammer.

'The Telling' was inspired by frontman-songwriter Dave Jackson’s interest in folklore and myths, and a visit to a cuckoo clock museum in the Black Forest, where he learned about the traveling clock sellers and storytellers, who used to move between villages. Conveyed through his spirited yet acerbic vocals, the album was conceived as an aural movie for an as-yet unfinished screenplay, unfolding as individual self-contained songs like chapters in a complete narrative, there are no lyrical choruses or repeated themes. The album comes with a full lyric sheet, influenced by the layout of the Guttenberg Bible.

Recorded and mixed at Ark Studios in Liverpool and released via 9x9 Records, this album was co-produced by Dave Jackson and Steve Powell (Michael Head & the Red Elastic Band, Autour De Lucie, Echo & The Bunnymen).

"Situated in a 17th Century European forest, a traveller arrives at a remote village offering to tell a story of "dark love and what came after" in return for a bed for the night. After some resistance from the butcher and the baker, he begins a tale about a young man from a similar village who falls for a strange woman in the forest, but discovers she can shape-shift into a raven or a wolf," says Dave Jackson.

"Rusalka the shape-shifter, assumed dead after the Priest, the jilted bride's brothers and fellow villagers burnt her lake hut and hanged her lover, returns for vengeance on her tormenters, now fixed in her aquatic human shape. This song takes place at the end of side one of the vinyl album and begins a sequence where Rusalka and her future lover begin to Hammer the Witchfinders, who plague Northern Europe at this time."

The Room recorded four John Peel sessions, appeared on The Whistle Test and worked with Television's Tom Verlaine and John Porter (Roxy Music, TheSmiths, Billy Bragg) on their 'In Evil Hour' LP (1984). Recordings from Janice Long's BBC Radio One programme and Saturday Live were used for the 1985 release 'Jackpot Jack' EP

The Room toured the UK and the USA, and performed with The Fall, The Birthday Party, Bauhaus, Southern Death Cult, Violent Femmes, Tom Verlaine, John Foxx and The Red Guitars. Following the band's split, Becky and Dave went on to form Benny Profane, Dust and Dead Cowboys. Dave has also recorded under his own name and as The Room in the Wood (with Paul Cavanagh).

'Nemesis' is out digitally on February 19. 'The Telling' is out now, available on CD (jewel case with 12-page booklet) or on black vinyl (with a 4-page lyric Insert). It is also available on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp and elsewhere.

Rotting Christ Release New Live Video

ROTTING CHRIST have stood the test of time. Over the past 35 years, Sakis Tolis, his brother Themis and their brothers-in-arms have risen from Greece's blackened catacombs to become one of metal's most formidably reliable forces.

Backed by a legacy that has both defined and defied black metal, last year, the Greek legends carved out a new set of dark, melodic scriptures with fresh rebellion on the unbreakable Pro Xristou

"...this is the most arena-worthy Rotting Christ have been in some time", No Clean Singing wrote about their latest album.

Now, as they continue to tour the world, Rotting Christ are celebrating 35 years of evil existence with a new live album. This two-hour set was recorded at the Lycabettus Hill Theater in the band's hometown of Athens. Like a Greek pantheon, it spans the band's entire career, from early evil classics to the pillars of their Hellenic legacy, including "Δαιμόνων Βρώσης (Demonon Vrosis)", the horns-raising anthem from the bloody and triumphant Aealo

Watch Rotting Christ perform "Δαιμόνων Βρώσης (Demonon Vrosis)" Live in Lycabettus below.

35 Years of Evil Existence - Live in Lycabettus comes out April 4th on Season of Mist.

The formidable bond between brothers Sakis and Themic Tolis is not only felt across their mighty discography but also live and in the flesh. Having played more than a hundred shows all across the world in 2024, Rotting Christ continue to keep the true metal spirit alive time and time again.

Earlier this week, Rotting Christ finished touring Brazil, but the band aren't done hitting the road. This weekend, they're performing "Like Father, Like Son" and other instant classics from Pro Xristou for the very first time in Columbia and Mexico.

“Dear brothers and sisters”, Rotting Christ write to their Latin American legion. “We are proud to return to your land for a special setlist just for you to celebrate our 35 years as a band. Keep the true Metal Spirit alive!”.

Pro Xristou (‘Before Christ’ in Greek), serves as a fervent tribute to the last Pagan kings who resisted the onslaught of Christianity, guarding their ancient values and knowledge. In this thematic odyssey, intricately woven through tracks such as ‘The Apostate’ and ‘Ygdrassil’, Rotting Christ delves into the legacies of historical figures such as Flavius Claudius Julianus and Nordic mythological kings, embodying the might of Pagan wisdom in the face of Christian adversity. The album encapsulates the essence of Rotting Christ’s signature style – melodic, yet harsh at times – reinventing themselves yet again, while remaining rooted in their 35-year legacy.

Emerging metallic hardcore outfit MANY EYES is now debuting the official music video for the song, "Speechless," which was filmed on day off during the band's recent North American tour at Mahall's Lanes in Lakewood, OH. The video can be found below.

“'Speechless' was the first song I ever demoed for Many Eyes," explains Buckley. "It set a standard for us that we still aspire towards when writing even to this day-make it heavy, make it good, make it cool.”

"Speechless" is taken from the band's debut full-length, 'The Light Age,' which was released in September 2024 via Perseverance Media Group! The album can be found HERE.

Many Eyes began in the winter of 2022 when Keith Buckley (Ex-Every Time I Die, The Damned Things) connected with brothers Nick (Producer/ Owner of Dexter's Lab Recording) and Charlie Bellmore (Corpsegrinder/ Toxic Holocaust) through their mutual friend, Jamey Jasta, frontman for metal legends Hatebreed. 'The Light Age' was written and recorded over a few weeks in both Buffalo, NY, and Milford, CT, where the members reside.

Many Eyes is currently working on their second album.

MANY EYES is about to embark on its third U.S. tour, supporting THE AMITY AFFLICTIONalongside HAIL THE SUN. With Alan Hague now on guitar and Sean Vallie on bass, alongside Nick Bellmore’s powerful drumming and Keith Buckley’s commanding vocals, the band remains focused on pushing forward and exploring new creative horizons.

Progressive Super Metallers IMMINENT SONIC DESTRUCTION Announce New Album 'Floodgate' Out April 25th

Progressive super metallers IMMINENT SONIC DESTRUCTION are excited to announce their upcoming album 'Floodgate', releasing on April 25th. To celebrate the announcement, ISD has released the first single from the record titled "Memento Mori", accompanied by a lyric video available to view below.

About the single, guitarist/vocalist Tony Piccoli comments:

“As soon as we finished writing this song, we knew we had something special. This music paired with Pete’s lyrics, I think we have something powerful to offer the prog-metal community and beyond. Friends of mine have said it’s one of my best guitar solos to date, and I think they’re high. Anyway, thank you for checking it out!”

Pete Hopersberger adds:

"My dad used to say, 'No one gets out alive,' and I hear it in my head whenever I think of him. My family is Catholic, and there’s a practice in our faith called Memento Mori (Latin for remember that you must die), which encourages us to contemplate the last 4 things: death, judgment, heaven, and hell. In doing so, we remind ourselves to live each day as if we’re going to meet God and to prepare our soul for that. It’s a tall task, and I know I fail regularly, but we only get better when we aim high."

Watch the Lyric Video for "Memento Mori" below:

IMMINENT SONIC DESTRUCTION (ISD), hailing from Metro Detroit, have carved out their niche in the metal world with their signature Progressive Super Metal sound. Since their debut album 'Recurring Themes' (2012), produced by Roy Z, the band has toured with the likes of Pain of Salvation, Kingcrow, Fates Warning, and Circus Maximus, steadily building their reputation.

After their critically acclaimed concept album 'Triumphia' and their emotional third release 'The Sun Will Always Set', ISD are set to return in 2025 with their fourth album, 'Floodgate', once again produced by Nick Hagen. 'Floodgate' promises a dynamic mix of concise, heavy, and epic tracks, rich with vocal harmonies and standout performances from every member. This album pushes the band’s progressive metal songwriting even further, marking another milestone in their evolution.

About the album, Piccoli states:

"'Floodgate' is the idea that after a significant event in life, artists and musicians alike tend to open up the floodgate of creativity and let it all out. This album is a celebration of that floodgate opening up. We’re super proud of this one, and we hope you’ll enjoy the different paths this album will take you.”

After emerging from the misty forests of Northern California four years ago, Wrath of Logarius spread through the world of underground metal like a bloodborne virus. "...a ferocious display of intent which signifies the band's potential to become a powerhouse", New Noise wrote about the band's burning introduction.

Many hunters would've reaped their rewards while resting their bones, but Crown of Mortis only builds on the band's growing lore. The album's first single summoned all the bloody runes from the band's formless spellbook. Now armed with newly minted Strega guitars, Wrath of Logarius cycle through the many moonlit phases of black metal on "Of the Void".

New bassist Xolotl opens the icy procession with dissonant bass chugs, as if marching toward death. Like a howling wind, Vastator whips across a darkened stretch of classic tremolo picking, only to climb like mist through a solo that drips with despair.

"Open the gates and let revision in", Noctifier screams before being engulfed by the blistering flames from Lord Marco's blast beats. "Slowly dismantle every part of you".

On "Of the Void", Wrath of Logarius usher black metal into a boundless new realm.

For this playthrough, Wrath of Logarius used Strega Master Elite series Lamia 7s loaded with custom Arcana Glaive Pickups.

On Crown of Mortis, Wrath of Logarius bend black metal to fit their formless rule.

Eli Young Band Debuts “Nothing On The Wild” on NBC’s "TODAY with Jenna & Friends"

The 19x RIAA Gold and Platinum-certified country hitmakers, Eli Young Band, join NBC's “TODAY with Jenna & Friends” tomorrow (2/20) in the 10 a.m. hour for the exclusive worldwide debut of their newest independent release, “Nothing On The Wild.” Presave “Nothing On The Wild” ahead of Thursday’s release, HERE.

“Most of us boys never really grow up,” Eli Young Band’s Mike Eli shares. “We do stupid and crazy almost to perfection. And when it comes to the band, our lives can be a wild ride.

“This song was me telling my wife, Kacey, that the wild and crazy has nothing on the wild and crazy that I am about her.”

Written by Mike Eli, Matt McVaney and Matt Rogers, “Nothing On The Wild” marks the band’s second single released in 2025, following “What Do Lonely People Do.”

The band recently celebrated new certifications of their chart topping, Platinum album Life at Best, plus 5x Platinum single “Crazy Girl” and the 3x Platinum “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.”

The Life of Country Music Icon Loretta Lynn to be Celebrated in New Stage Musical, 'Coal Miner’s Daughter,' Starring Tony-Award Winner Sutton Foster

The music and life story of beloved country music icon and legend Loretta Lynn will be celebrated and depicted in a new stage musical COAL MINER’S DAUGHTER starring Tony Award-winner Sutton Foster

The production is in development under the direction of Tony Award-winner Sam Gold. Music Production is by Tony Award-winner Jeanine Tesori. Gold and Tesori last worked together on the Tony Award-winning musical Fun Home.

Loretta Lynn's manager, producer, and daughter, Patsy Lynn, and longtime adviser, Nancy Russell, will act as consulting producers.

Inspired by the award-nominated 1980 film and autobiography by Loretta Lynn and George Vecsey, Coal Miner's Daughter chronicles Loretta’s rise from humble beginnings in rural Kentucky to country music legend. The stage adaptation will include songs from Loretta’s career and share stories from Loretta’s life beyond the film’s ending.

Loretta Lynn, one of country music’s most iconic figures, left an indelible mark on the genre with a career spanning over six decades. Known for her powerful storytelling and unapologetically honest lyrics, she sold over 45 million records worldwide and earned numerous accolades, including multiple Grammy Awards, Country Music Association (CMA) awards, and a Presidential Medal of Freedom. Her legacy includes timeless hits such as “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “You Ain’t Woman Enough,” and “The Pill.”  Lynn’s career, which began in the early 1960s, was marked by its longevity and influence. She passed away on October 4, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving behind a profound impact on music and culture.

"We are so grateful to see that our mother's life story and music will continue to touch the hearts of audiences and remain an important statement of the American dream,” said the family of Loretta Lynn. “As one of the last creative projects our mom was so passionate about, we are thankful that she had the opportunity to experience the initial stages of Sutton's sincere portrayal of Loretta. Mom absolutely fell in love with her and thought she was just the right person to play her onstage. The family is moved by this incredible team's commitment to her legacy."

The producing team committed to bringing the iconic story of Loretta Lynn’s life to the stage include Broadway veterans Kristin Caskey, Mike Isaacson, Bee Carrozzini, and ATG Entertainment.

Released on March 7, 1980, Coal Miner’s Daughter received seven Academy Award nominations including Best Picture and Best Writing and Sissy Spacek won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Coal Miner’s Daughter was also awarded Best Motion Picture by the Golden Globes, National Board of Review, National Film Preservation Board and the Academy of Country Music Awards.
