Sharing his award-winning night with his fans live from the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, tour mate Elle King joined Jelly Roll on stage to present the award for “The Male Artist of 2023”. “I thought, when I was here, that I didn’t have a chance at winning, but the losers won again baby!” exclaimed Jelly Roll. “This has absolutely nothing to do with me and it has everything to do with y’all. This was fan voted. This is for the fans. It’s always for the fans. The underdogs are back on top! I want to say thank you to the People’s Choice Country Awards for giving an opportunity to me and these 20,000 degenerates to celebrate this together, right now, live on national television from Cincinnati, OH.”

Lainey Wilson, attending the award show live at the Grand Ole Opry House, shared the following in her acceptance for “The Female Artist of 2023.” “My heart is about to beat out of my chest,” said Lainey. “A lot of it has to do with this award, but a lot of it has to do with standing on this Opry stage. Every single time I get to stand on this stage, I feel overwhelmed. I feel honored and humbled. I feel like I’ve got some very big shoes to fill. This year we have played every kind of show you can imagine. We have played clubs. We have played stadiums with Mr. Luke Combs. You name it; we have played it. Every single night, I look out there and I see a lot of y’all wearing your bell bottoms and hats. Thank y’all so much for letting me express myself through my music and the way that I dress. I love seeing y’all do the same exact thing. Y’all keep showing up and I’ll keep showing up, too. God bless y’all.”

WYNONNA JUDD AND TRISHA YEARWOOD RELEASE REINVENTED VERSION OF “CRY MYSELF TO SLEEP” AHEAD OF A TRIBUTE TO THE JUDDS RELEASE

Today, Grammy-award-winning artists Wynonna Judd and Trisha Yearwood released their reimagined version of The Judds’ iconic song “Cry Myself To Sleep.” Written by Paul Kennerley, the track serves as the second single off A Tribute To The Judds, the highly anticipated compilation record in celebration of the beloved duo’s 40th anniversary, to be released on October 27 on BMG.

Originally released in 1986 as the fourth single off the best-selling album Rockin’ With The Rhythm, and reproduced by Cactus Moser, “Cry Myself To Sleep” serves as a soulful and powerful new take on the critically acclaimed track. Blending the elements of Funk, Rock, and Country into the song, these once in a generation dynamites infuse their own sound while remaining true to the original record. You can listen to “Cry Myself To Sleep”
HERE.

"I was absolutely delighted when Trisha showed up at the studio on the farm to record 'Cry Myself To Sleep' with me. We have known each other for years, but have never worked together. In today’s world of technology, artists often don’t get to be in the same room as the other person to record a song. It was so refreshing! I am thrilled with the song, and I cannot wait to sing it live with her," said Wynonna Judd.

“Getting to be a part of celebrating Judds music is such an honor. I’m a true fan, and singing with Wynonna has been a dream come true! I’m proud to be a part of honoring the music that Naomi and Wynonna created," said Trisha Yearwood.

A Tribute to The Judds
brings together the music industry’s biggest power players across genres, revering the original music of The Judds into a powerful homage of their discography.

About Wynonna Judd:
With the release of her 1992 self-titled solo debut, Wynonna emerged as a singular force in American music. Beyond the five Grammy Awards, the multi-platinum albums and sold-out tours, the country/soul vocalist built on the Appalachian traditionalism that defined The Judds to create a world where Top 5 dance/club hits were as possible as being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Having practically grown up as America’s favorite musical daughter, Wynonna matured into a woman who embraced how life is filled with peaks and valleys, great thrills, and heavy disappointment. Those realities informed her 5-times platinum Wynonna and nearing 3-times platinum Tell Me Why, the albums that gave voice to every human being emerging into their own adulthood with joy in their heart.

Beyond the groundbreaking music she and her mother created as The Judds, Wynonna has grown into her once-in-a-generation vocal prowess with an ease that made people clamor to her. “No One Else On Earth,” “Tell Me Why,” “She Is His Only Need,” “Girls With Guitars,” and “I Saw The Light” set the next chapter in motion of for the girl from Ashland, Kentucky who became a global superstar.

About Trisha Yearwood:
Following three decades in the spotlight, numerous GRAMMY®, CMA® and ACM® Awards, countless multiplatinum certifications, and millions of fans entertained, the same passion still motivates and moves Trisha Yearwood. The singer, actress, author, chef, personality, and entrepreneur derives deep fulfillment from simply walking up to a microphone and pouring her heart out by way of a celebrated powerhouse voice. In 2019, Trisha unveiled her highly anticipated first full-length country record in over a decade, Every Girl. Every Girl: Deluxe includes a new acoustic re-recording of her first album’s lead single “She’s In Love With The Boy.” Trisha made history when the original “She’s In Love With The Boy” vaulted to #1 and cemented her as the first female country artist to have a debut single reach the top of the country charts. She made history once again in 2021, when “She’s In Love With The Boy” was named “the MOST listened to country song by a Female Artist in the history of Billboard’s Country Airplay Charts.”  Trisha remains a timeless entertainer whose influence permeates multiple facets of culture. Beyond fifteen albums, she hosts the EMMY® Award-winning Food Network hit Trisha’s Southern Kitchen and her Facebook Live show, T’s Coffee Talk. At the forefront of a veritable lifestyle empire, she penned four New York Times-bestselling cookbooks and has designed cookware, furniture, home accessories, area rugs, and a pet line. For more information, please visit www.trishayearwood.com.

Sleep Theory Release "Paper Hearts" EP

"Sleep Theory follow in the path of bands like Sevendust in weaving soulful vocal melodies, groove-heavy guitar work and an infectious bounce as their stylistic signature." – Knotfest

"Sleep Theory adapt 2000s arena rock and nu-metal for the future with their anthemic metal-tinged sound that would please any fan of Linkin Park and their ilk. At once enthralling, emotional and disarming, Sleep Theory's supercharged single 'Numb' is everything a radio rock fan could want. You'll be humming it for days after." – Loudwire

Fresh off a captivating performance at Louisville's Louder Than Life Festivalthis past weekend, breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — have released their Paper Hearts EP today, September 29, via the Epitaph Records. Get it
here.

The EP features two buzzy singles — "
Numb" and "Gone or Staying" — which have established Sleep Theory as one of the most exciting and talked about bands of 2023.

"As Sleep Theory, we've poured our hearts and souls into crafting our debut EP Paper Hearts and we're beyond thrilled to share this musical journey with the world," the band shares. "Each track is a piece of our collective soul, woven into melodies and lyrics that resonate with our experiences and emotions. Paper Hearts is not just music; it's our story, our passion, and our dreams set to sound."

Since bursting onto the scene earlier this year, Sleep Theory have gone from strength to strength. With press coverage from American Songwriter, Billboard, Celebrity Access, Knotfest, and Loudwire, as well as major nods from SiriusXM's Octane, Sleep Theory have had a huge 2023 and are gearing up for an even bigger 2024.

With Sleep Theory, the numbers don't lie.

Rather, the stats tell an impressive story that continues to grow and evolve as the band heads towards the stratosphere.

Sleep Theory's recent single "Numb" — watch the video
below— follows the band's debut single "Another Way," which arrived in January 2023 and amassed 500k views on TikTok within 36 hours of release. "Gone or Staying" arrived next, and all three songs combined have generated over 25 million streams, while "Numb" and "Another Way" both shot to No. 1 on SiriusXM's Octane Chart. The reaction was intense and swift, and as such, the band was also selected for SiriusXM/Pandora's Artist Accelerator Program and will be a part of their Next Wave Concert Series this fall. Additionally, "Numb" rose to No. 1 on on Octane's BigUns four (!!!) times.

This all happened in the span of the past nine months.

But what seemed like an overnight success (or an "industry plant" playing to the algorithm, as some trolls have incorrectly theorized) has actually been years in the making. And it's paying off.

Since retiring from the U.S. Army several years ago, Moore has dedicated his life to carving his own path in the music industry.

Officially starting Sleep Theory in 2019, the current incarnation of his musical journey began as a studio project to fuse his love of hard rock, funk, and R&B.

Now a four-piece band, which came to be on the back of a chance meeting via Facebook Marketplace, Sleep Theory have achieved a pair of No. 1 singles, played their first run of shows to massive crowds, and signed to Epitaph Records. Combining metalcore-like breakdowns with bluesy grooves and a pop sensibility made for modern radio, "Numb" has ascended to the No. 19 position on the Active Rock chart.

Sleep Theory wrapped summer touring runs with Set It Off and Shinedown, and also played shows with I Prevail, Badflower, and more.

Their 2024 touring plans are extensive and will be announced soon!

Gunship Release "Unicorn" + Share "Empress Of The Damned" Lyric Video

Synthwave pioneers Gunship — comprised of Dan Haigh, Alex Westaway, and Alex Gingell — today release their third studio album, Unicorn.

Stream the full record here

Gunship invite their listeners to celebrate the power of imagination on Unicorn. Named after the international icon of fantasy and imagination, it's emblazoned with the tagline "Imagination Is A Weapon." The trio's trademark, synth-laden atmosphere and transportative soundscapes have continued to evolve to include more rock, industrial, and EDM influences, allowing the listener to revel in an alternative reality on a 14-track electric thrill ride.

Unicorn boasts a diverse array of special guests, who each bring something different to the project. Collaborators include: John Carpenter, Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Carpenter Brut, Tim Cappello (Lost Boys, Tina Turner, Ringo Starr), Health, Tyler Bates (John Wick, Guardians of the Galaxy etc), Lights, Power Glove, Charlie Simpson, Britta Philips (Jem), Milkie Way (Wargasm), and Stella Le Page.

Embodying the saying "it's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness," Gunship seek to curse the darkness as well as to provide illumination with their darker and more positive material respectively, while consistently evolving the synthwave genre they helped to pioneer.

Gunship collaborated with renowned artist and director Maciej Kuciara (Blade Runner 2049, Terminator: Dark Fate, Avengers: Endgame & Infinity War, Ghost in the Shell, Guardians of the Galaxy) on the album's artwork, famous for his film concept art and collaborations with titans such as Ridley Scott. For Unicorn, Maciej created his cyberpunk interpretation of the classic icon of fantasy and imagination.

With the album's release comes new single "Empress of The Damned," featuring Canadian powerhouse Lights. Opening with a spooky John Carpenter-esque horror aura, the damnation quickly resolves into a pounding synthwave and EDM-fused tour de force. Returning collaborator Tim Cappello (The Lost Boys, Tina Turner) blasts blazing saxophone lines evoking some of the best '80s classics, while on vocals, fresh from recent collaborations with Deadmau5, i_o, Felix Cartel and Illenium, Lights delivers the powerful melodic hooks she is famous for. "Empress Of The Damned" boasts cultural and video game references abound, in hypnotic and bass heavy verses which give way to soaring choruses filled with Gunship’s signature 80s pop sensibility. It’s a fiery take on the classic 1980s duets of yesteryear.

The lyric video is live now, here

The record follows bass-driven, industrial-rock offering "DooM Dance," which blends EDM influences and the band's signature synth-heavy style to create a vivid sonic experience. On the track, rock icon and frontman of juggernaut rock act Bush — Gavin Rossdale — delivers searing vocals, while synthwave powerhouse Carpenter Brut serves up some devastating electronic riffs. "DooM Dance" is inspired by the frenetic "dance" gamers perform when vastly outnumbered and battling wave after wave of enemies in the now legendary video game DooM. Keep an eye out for the music video — coming soon!

Gunship make a name for themselves by linking their music and video releases with popular culture, whether that be film, like the Blade Runner x The Terminator dystopia in the new era’s first release, "Monster In Paradise" (Feat. Milkie Way, Dave Lombardo, Tim Cappello, Tyler Bates) or the gaming world, as with "DooM Dance" and previous album single "Taste Like Venom," which paid homage to Sega's classic arcade game Outrun.

Milkie Way (the fiery frontwoman of Wargasm), pays homage to the indomitable Sarah Connor from The Terminator films, on "Monster In Paradise," a key highlight. Driving Sarah's classic 1983 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade and providing a Terminator style voice over, Milkie initially appears to be giving a performance true to Sarah Connor’s character, although perhaps things are not quite as they seem… Are the machines recruiting humans with a mind-altering silver liquid? Watch the music video here

In an equally cyber-futuristic offering, "Ghost" (Feat. Power Glove), released later last year, asked artificial intelligence to show the world, "What happens after we die?" The cyberpunk tune was accompanied by an AI-generated video. Cutting edge and psychedelic, the video was created via various emerging artificial intelligence and machine learning tools, including OpenAI's DALL-E, the open-source Stable Diffusion as well as Midjourney.

Dive into the full, fantasy world of Unicorn now…

ABOUT GUNSHIP:
GUNSHIP are Dan Haigh, Alex Westaway, and Alex Gingell. The band’s sound is created with vintage analogue synthesizers and other retro electronic gear from the 1980s. Driven and inspired by nostalgia for a bygone era, Gunship harness this retro approach to birth something fresh and new. Their sound is sonically diverse — blending sweeping fluorescent synth lines with fever pitched and adrenalizing electric bass arpeggios. Dan Haigh from Gunship describes their sound as "a neon-soaked, late night, sonic getaway drive, dripping with luscious analogue synthesizers, cinematic vocals and cyberpunk values, exploding from the front cover of a dusty plastic VHS case which has lain forgotten since 1984." Gunship was formed in 2014 as a new musical venture for Westaway and Haigh, also members of post-hardcore band Fightstar with Charlie Simpson (Busted) and Omar Abidi, going on hiatus in 2010. Unicorn follows their critically acclaimed self-titled debut (Gunship, 2015), and 2018 follow-up Dark All Day.

JELUSICK, FRONTED BY POWERHOUSE VOCALIST DINO JELUSICK, DROPS DEBUT ALBUM FOLLOW THE BLIND MAN, THROUGH DEKO ENTERTAINMENT

The band “Jelusick” is formed around singer and keyboardist Dino Jelusick (Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Michael Romeo, Dirty Shirley). He is joined by bassist Luka Broderick who is, like Dino, an academically educated musician. Rounding out the quartet are guitarist Ivan Keller and drummer Mario Lepoglavec. Both actively tour with Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Journey). All of them are exceptionally talented musicians ready to show the world that rock is still alive! Their music is a combination of hard/heavy/prog with versatile elements from other genres. Jelusick is seen as the next rock sensation by fans and music colleagues alike!

Dino joined Whitesnake after receiving a personal phone call from David Coverdale and went out on the band's 2022 farewell tour as a multi-instrumentalist and backing vocalist for Coverdale. Upon returning, he immediately focused his attention on his own band, Jelusick. They released a bunch of lead-up singles like “Healer”, “”The Great Divide”, “Chaos Master” and “Fly High Again,” collectively racking up over 200,000 listens on Spotify. The “Fly High Again” video is approaching 300,000 views.

Watch video for “Fly High Again” below.

As Dino explains, "Follow the Blind Man is the debut album that has been waiting for a long time to finally come to life. It will give you many of the different songwriting and stylistic angles that we're capable of. From heavy, prog, bluesy to epic ballads and acoustic stuff.” Deko President, Bruce Pucciarello, celebrates Jelusick, “I love everything Dino does, but this is truly authentic. It is like everything else has led up to this band and this record. Holy shit, these guys can sing and play!”

Within Temptation Share New Track "Ritual" — LISTEN

BAND TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM BLEED OUT ON OCTOBER 20

Dutch metallers Within Temptation have released their brand-new single "Ritual" today. The song is the focus track of their upcoming eighth studio album Bleed Out, on October 20.

Reflecting the tumultuous state of the world, for their newest record the band have drawn inspiration from events such as the murder of Mahsa Amini in Iran and the war in Ukraine. But that isn't to say that there's no light to the heavy shade on Bleed Out.

Sharon den Adel explains that the song "is one of the kinkiest songs the band have ever written and is fully inspired by From Dusk Till Dawn." She is referring to the iconic movie by Quentin Tarantino about a seemingly normal road trip turning into a vampire slayer party. "It's a fun track about seduction," she explains. "It's about the lady taking power in a male dominated world and taking her own initiative."

Listen to "Ritual" below.

Bleed Out signifies a bold leap forward for the band. From contemporary, hard-hitting, and djenty riffs to soaring melodies displaying their symphonic roots, Within Temptation have created a sonic journey that fuses diverse musical styles and thought-provoking themes. This is an album that is as epic as it is unflinchingly outspoken, and now more than ever, this is a band who is unafraid to make a stand on issues it cares about. Within Temptation have delivered a fist-in-the-air proclamation of both their moral convictions and their fearless approach to music.

WITHIN TEMPTATION IS:
Sharon den Adel — Vocals
Mike Coolen — Drums
Stefan Helleblad — Guitars
Ruud Jolie — Guitars
Martijn Spierenburg — Keyboards
Jeroen van Veen — Bass Guitars
Robert Westerholt — Guitars

NBC’S “The Voice” season 22 winner, Bryce Leatherwood, opened the evening. Darkest Hour launched a crowdfunding campaign to make 2017's Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora.  Surpassing their goals, they enlisted producer Kurt Ballou (Converge, High On Fire, Code Orange, Kvelertak) and made their heaviest record to date.  The album charted at #42 on the Billboard 200 and received rave reviews. Metal Injection gave the album 9.5/10, writing, "This album is full of death metal riffs, savage hardcore pummeling in drums, and melodic beauty, making for a terrific heavy record...their best work."

Vocalist John Henry says, "The Godless Prophets reissue is finally here, and we couldn’t be more proud of how well this album has aged. Years later, the passion and fury we put into this record still shine. Excited to be able to share this timeless album with new listeners and a new perspective.

Guitarist Mike Schleibaum adds, "These new vinyl variants look badass.  We are so impressed with how well they came out; they really do these songs and album justice. Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora will always hold a special place in our catalog and our hearts, and this reissue will surely give new breath to this release for years to come."

Randy Houser Releases New Single "Cancel"

Billboard lauded “golden-voiced Mississippi native” Randy Houser reflects on the state of the world today and encourages forgiveness in his new song “Cancel,” available now via Magnolia Music Group. Written solely by Houser and co-produced with Jay Tooke, listen to the song below.

“You’ll have a certain amount of people that won’t even look at it because of the title,” Houser shared with
Rolling Stone of the “moody, bluesy” song. “It’s OK to call things out. But that doesn’t mean all-out war with each other over something that you disagree with. We’re tearing our country apart by doing that. I believe in what the Bible says about forgiveness, that we’re commanded to forgive. Just treat people fairly and if you see someone needs a friend, be one.”

Resonating with his audiences during live performances throughout his relentless touring schedule, fans have urged Houser to release the track that showcases his dynamic vocals as he shares his point of view.

“I’m not here to judge anyone else’s lifestyle or their personal choice,” he explained to
Rolling Stone. “I don’t deal with the same decisions that other people have had to make in their lives. We all know that there’s people who are born a certain way. It’s not anyone else’s job to judge. It’s just like, be cool to people. Be a human.”

Houser will perform at the Ronnie Milsap Tribute Show at Bridgestone Arena on Oct. 3 with Kelly Clarkson, Little Big Town, Justin Moore, Scotty McCreery and more before resuming his busy touring schedule next Friday, Oct. 6 at Country Thunder in Bristol, TN, with additional tour dates through the end of the year.

About Randy Houser
With an inimitable voice The New York Times describes as “wholly different, thicker and more throbbing, a caldron bubbling over,” Randy Houser racked up three consecutive No. 1 hits and more than four million in singles sales to date with his Stoney Creek Records album How Country Feels. He topped the charts with the title track, “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” and “Goodnight Kiss” (also his first No. 1 as a songwriter) and earned critical acclaim for his powerful delivery of the Top 5 smash and CMA Song of the Year-nominated “Like A Cowboy.” Houser added a fourth No. 1 to his catalogue with “We Went” from his 2016 album, Fired Up. Houser’s sixth studio album Note To Self is available now via Magnolia Music Group and features 10 tracks all co-written by the Mississippi native. GRAVEYARD - release new album '6' + visualiser for 'Bright Lights'

Today GRAVEYARD release their brand new album 6 via Nuclear Blast Records. 6 is easily identifiable as the most striking, original album of GRAVEYARD’s story so far. A gently lysergic blend of desolate guitars, simmering Hammond and lithe, nimble bass and drums, the Swedes demonstrate a lightness of touch that they have only hinted at in the past. To coincide with the albums release, the band have also revealed a visualiser for the track 'Bright Lights'.

The band comments ”It took its not always so sweet time, but the day for 6 to be released is finally here. Now let it spin”

The album was recorded at Silence Studios and Don Pierre Studios and was produced by Don Ahlsterberg, who previously worked with the band on Graveyard (2007), Hisingen Blues (2011) and Lights Out (2012).

About GRAVEYARD

As enduring and authentic as an old school leather jacket, GRAVEYARD have long since mastered the art of rock’n’roll. Formed in 2006 in Gothenburg, Sweden, their shared passion for hard rock, psychedelia and the eternal bedrock of blues marked them out from the start. Led by vocalist/guitarist Joakim Nilsson, they opened their account with their now seminal self-titled Tee Pee Recordings debut in 2007, showcasing fiery chemistry and some wildly imaginative songwriting. Subsequently snapped up by the mighty Nuclear Blast Records, the band’s rise to prominence was swift and irresistible.

In 2008 the band released second album Hisingen Blues - a critical smash that more than lived up to the hype, it established GRAVEYARD as rock’n’roll heavyweights. A thunderous, soul-stirring live band, with subtlety and swagger in equal amounts, they spent the next decade keeping fans of loose-limbed and earthy rock music in a near-constant state of rapture. From the rootsy clatter of 2012’s Lights Out to the magical, muscular grooves of 2018’s Peace (taking in the sepia-tinted folk doom of 2015’s Innocence & Decadencealong the way), GRAVEYARD have made some of the most vital and vivid heavy rock of the 21st century.

Symphonic extreme metal act ZORNHEYM Announces Graphic Novel Version of "The Zornheim Sleep Experiment" and Brand New Acoustic EP; Releases Lyric Video for First Single!

ZORNHEYM have just announced the graphic novel version of the band’s latest album The Zornheim Sleep Experiment and a brand new acoustic EP, entitled The Forgotten Inmates, which will be released on Nov. 3rd via Noble Demon. With the lyric video for the first single "Keep the Devil Away", the band has unleashed a first preview of the upcoming graphic novel today. Watch the video here:
English: below.
French:
https://youtu.be/CyqkcigKDKk

Founded and led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Zorn (ex- DARK FUNERAL / ex- Devian), Swedish symphonic extreme metal act ZORNHEYM quickly grew from an ambitious idea into a dramatic musical and narrative driven concept revolving around the horrors of a mental institution and its prisoners. In 2017, ZORNHEYM officially opened the doors of the asylum with their debut album Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness Reigns, introducing the terrifying concept and the gruesome characters within. With powerful, cinematic and captivating symphonic extreme metal, the band took the listener under its spell and the story found its disturbing continuation in 2021 with the band's latest full-length record The Zornheim Sleep Experiment.

Two critically acclaimed albums that not only musically respresent the class of ZORNHEYM, but also visually are something quite exceptional, as both records are accompanied by a stunning graphic novel, in which each chapter takes a closer look at the different inmates of the ZORNHEYM asylum. While the album's lyrics and the session notes in the booklet served as two parts of the complete story, ZORNHEYM now deliver the third and final piece of the puzzle with the graphic novel, and you will follow Dr. Bettelheim from when he is putting the final touches on his statement of intent till the horrific ending of the experiment. As on their debut "Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness Reigns" ZORNHEYM have again collaborated with the super talented Finnish artist Anu Saari, who has brought the story to life with her amazing painting skills!

ZORNHEYM about the making of their new EP:
"During the pandemic Zorn and Bendler did some live streaming and played acoustic interpretations of some of our songs. When it was time to record “The Zornheim Sleep Experiment” we decided to record “Whom the Night Brings” as an acoustic version to add as a bonus.

The original plan was to release that bonus track when the graphic novel was done. Due to a pregnancy the graphic novel was delayed. Zorn then remembered that Blind Guardian had released an album with acoustic interpretations of some of their songs in the ‘90’s. To reward our patient inmates we felt that we wanted to record a couple of songs, since the graphic novel took longer than expected to finalize. To thank our French fans that gave us an extra warm welcome on the successful French tour last year we decided to record “Keep the Devil Away” in French as well.

For “Slumber Comes in Time” we decided to make it in Swedish, since it’s based around an old folk tune that the Vallons brought to Sweden during the 1700’s, and base the whole song around that old folk melody."

So put on the album, sit down in your favorite chair and join ZORNHEYM into the depths of the asylum!

The Forgotten Inmates was recorded at Wing Studios. Mix and master by Sverker Widgren. The EP was produced by Sverker Widgren & Zorn. Artwork by Anu Saari.

Return to Dust Release Roaring New Single & Video for "No Love"

The Los Angeles-based grunge trio, Return to Dust, have today released their latest single, "No Love" via Jim Kaufman Productions. Fans can listen to the track HERE, and watch the brand new video directed by Matt Akana below.

After racking up over 2 million TikTok views within a weekend, see HERE, the band's fan base has skyrocketed. The TIkTok featuring the band's single, "Belly Up" swiftly impacted the band's trajectory - over a million streams across DSPs, 65K Spotify Monthly Listeners, 4 million total TikTok views and you can now catch over 76,000 fans across all socials waiting for their next glimpse of Return to Dust.

Speaking on today's release, the band shares:

"No Love" is a tough reminder that the days are escaping and it may feel hopeless to play catch up, but that those feelings are normal. Shedding your adolescence and merging into the global rat race is something we all have to do, and the path ahead is never really clear. Life will spare no love.

It's always been a big part of the band to let people in, whoever, to see what we do. Having a house party with friends and fans that was also a music video shoot was a perfect way to accomplish that. With the video, we wanted to convey the live energy of the band in a show setting, while also steering away from the snoody, "larger than life" facade a lot of artists put on."

Sharing insight as the producer of "No Love", Jim Kaufman continues:

"“No Love' represents the culmination of the band's artistic vision and our commitment to delivering meaningful music. They poured their hearts out on every note. We're excited to share this song and continue to push the depths of the band."

Still on the high of selling out the Viper Room at the EP release show, the band earned a stamp of approval from rock impresario, Allison Hagendorf, as their single "Losing Faith" was featured on an episode of "The Allison Hagendorf Show's" Sound Advice. The trio are continuing to catch fire, as none other than Matt Pinfield tagged in and showcased the band on KLOS' "New And Approved".

Return to Dust, who are heavily inspired by the legendary Alice In Chains, have already cultivated a reputation in the local Los Angeles music scene before the release of their debut EP, "The Black Road" produced by none other than Jim Kaufman (Everclear, Danny Worsnop, Night Riots, Helmet). With their remarkable cinematic approach, the rock trio are on track for an unforgettable year of touring and new music. Be sure to stay tuned for more Return to Dust news coming soon.

ABOUT RETURN TO DUST

Los Angeles based alternative/grunge rock trio Return to Dust (Matty Joseph, Graham Stanush, Sebastian Gonzalez) has already scripted a karmic saga that traverses decades, pays homage to the past, and plants its roots firmly in the future. Listening within their sonic universe is like time-traveling to the halcyon days of the '90s grunge era. Their sound, influenced by heavyweights of the time, reverberates with the echoes of Deftones, Alice In Chains, and the soul of Nirvana — but, their brilliance doesn't stop there. The band draws inspiration from a diverse palette, blending in bits from bands like The Cure, Metallica, and Cage The Elephant, molding them into their own unique musical tapestry.

Return to Dust breathes life into a sound that feels both genuine and tailor-made to encapsulate the essence of a bygone era, leaving fans awash in nostalgia. Yet, it's not merely a mimicry of the past; instead, it's a fusion of the old and the new — an alchemy that conjures a sound distinctly their own. At the core are alluring bass lines (Stanush), gritty guitar riffs (Gonzalez, Joseph) and dual lead vocals (Joseph, Stanush) that harmonize and intertwine, weaving an ethereal soundscape that resonates with raw emotion and unyielding energy. It's a moody concoction that pays homage to an iconic era while fearlessly exploring uncharted territories. Return to Dust beckons audiences into their world, where the past and present converge, igniting a fervor that keeps the flames of grunge alive.

Return to Dust found its meteoric rise propelled by a chance encounter with none other than the illustrious producer Jim Kaufman (Helmet, Everclear, Night Riots). Under Kaufman's mentorship, the band's raw talent began to soar. During the darkest days of the pandemic, when the world stood still, Return to Dust seized the opportunity to channel their collective energy into crafting something profound. The result was their debut EP, a mesmerizing creation titled ‘The Black Road.’ It was a labor of love and dedication that not only transcended the barriers of personal growth, but also etched the band's name into the future of rock.

COLIN STOUGH ANNOUNCES DEBUT EP PROMISELAND

Colin Stough today announces Promiseland, his debut EP after his successful run on American Idol earlier this year. The six-song project will be released on all DSPs on October 20. Pre-save/pre-add HERE.

The announcement accompanies the launch of the second single from the project, “Lonely Hour.” Stough describes the song as melancholic saying, “There are these moments after a breakup where everything kind of settles and the loneliness kicks in. It’s those moments after the day winds down before the night sets in and you can fall asleep. The moments where you can’t stop thinking about everything and you finally start feeling all of the pain and loss that comes after a relationship has run its course. It’s the lonely hour.” Listen now below.

Colin Stough is one of the most buzzed about newcomers in country music today, after taking top honors on Season 21 of American Idol. Stough, the “Brad Pitt of country music”, as dubbed by Katy Perry, “was born to be a star” and has “the taste” and the “vocal ability."

Stough has also released the pensive official music video for “Lonely Hour.” Shot in a single hotel room, the video is powerful in its simplicity. Stough says, “This song is a melancholic one and what’s more melancholy than sitting in an old motel with everything you own packed in a suitcase as the sun is setting. It’s loneliness at its deepest. That’s the feeling we wanted to capture in this video. It’s meant to be kind of simple but vulnerable, and honestly, just kind of sad.”

“Lonely Hour” and “Promiseland” follow the release of Stough’s debut song “Bad Day,” a testament to the working man’s plight to get through a particularly mundane day, and “I Still Talk To Jesus,” a deeply personal depiction of Stough’s struggle to find meaning in a lifetime of disappointments and letdowns, which ended up reaching the #5 slot on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales Charts and #18 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales Charts.

Currently out on the road with headlining tour dates including a hometown show that sold out in one hour, Stough is ready for all of his fans to hear his debut project next month.

About Colin Stough:

Colin Stough, a horse-loving, motorcycle-riding 19-year-old from Gattman, Mississippi, has lived through a lot in his relatively short life. And, every ounce of heartbreak can be heard in his gravelly yet commanding rock-leaning vocal. Dubbed “the Brad Pitt of country music” by Katy Perry — the southern-rock, country artist is an artist to watch as he continues to build his fanbase, following his run to become a finalist on the 2023 season of American Idol. Now, Stough readies his debut EP Promiseland for October 20, which will feature the previously released title track and “Lonely Hour.”

Until I Wake Share "Fool's Paradise" Video — WATCH

Buffalo quartet Until I Wake — vocalist Cody Johnson, bassist Ryan Ridley, guitarist August Geitner, and drummer Alex Curtin — have shared the video for new single "Fool's Paradise." Watch it here. It follows the recently dropped video for "Cold."

With "Fool's Paradise," moody verses erupt into frenetic choruses amid a flurry of riffs, a razor-sharp and epic breakdown, and alternately stung and screamed vocals. It'll instantly become your favorite horns-in-the-air rock anthem!

"'Fool's Paradise' is a retrospective look on a past relationship/time in your life that you once thought brought you happiness, but realizing you were in a blissful false mental state," the band says. "It's about realizing that something you thought was perfect at a certain time was actually a detriment. A fool's paradise is described as a state of happiness based on a person not knowing about or denying the existence of potential trouble."

Locket Share "Glowing" — LISTEN

NEW ALBUM SUPERLUMINAL OUT NOVEMBER 10 VIA FEARLESS RECORDS

Canadian alt rock band Locket will release their new album and second full-length Superluminal on November 10 via Fearless Records. Pre-order it
here.

Today, the band has shared the new single "Glowing." Listen
below.

"Sometimes the best thing you can do when you're in a dark place is surround yourself with good people, optimistic people, loving people," says frontman Brad Garcia. "You hope that the good in them will start to cast some light onto you — even if it just barely breaks through that dark cloud. This song is about desperately holding onto someone else's glow, and getting lost searching for your own."

About recording their second full-length, Garcia states, "When 'band world' got put on pause back in 2020, it almost felt like a sigh of relief. We found this sense of freedom in being able to just write music for no other reason than writing music. With real pressure we could just write riffs, not overthink anything. And I think because of that, sonically, the record feels so authentically us."

He continues, "Thematically, I approached writing this record from this place of not knowing what's next (for the band or for ourselves as individuals). It ended up being this cathartic process of learning to deal with this central part of your life being forced across a tightrope, and ultimately learning to be alright if it slips and falls apart, because it might make way for a new chapter. We started writing this album as band guys in our twenties. By the time it comes out we'll be in our thirties, married, with a clearer understanding of who we are as people that have this insane privilege of making music together where people actually listen. We don't take that for granted. Also, we all think the album fuckin' rocks, so that's probably the most important thing."

Locket, whose core members (Garcia, guitarist Cory Bergeron and bassist Travis Morrison) have achieved more than they ever could have dreamed of when they started out 10 years ago in a band under a different name. Once reforming as Locket, they released the album All Out in late 2019. The record earned positive press from publications including Billboard, The Alternative, and New Noise, and the single "Hunnie" has racked up more than 1.6 million Spotify streams.

UK-based collective ROCKET KINGS reel in indie pop delight on sophomore album 'Paving The Way'

"Harmonious, easy going and melodic with a 10/10 feel-good factor, Rocket King delivers a sound that will happily settle in your ears and leave you humming along unconsciously. This song has us looking forward to what delights the entire album may bring" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"A delightful indie pop gem that combines folk influences with a contemporary twist... a sense of whimsy and joy... speaks to the band’s dedication to innovation and uniqueness while maintaining a sense of fun and enjoyment in their craft" ~ Skylight Webzine

Reading-based indie pop outfit
Rocket Kings present their full-length album 'Paving The Way', previewed by a playful video for the title track.  With 12 tracks on offer, this is the band's sophomore album, loaded with original material. Expect top tunes, ukuleles, melodies, harmonies - like a sweet cocktail of The Beautiful South, Belle and Sebastian and The Cranberries.

Formed in 2016, Rocket Kings are a 5-piece made up of Dave Stewart (ukulele, vocals), Bex Crossland (vocals, ukulele), David Heath (drums), Jess Tuthill(ukulele, vocals), and Yoshiko Nakayama (bass). United by their love of music, their positivity is infectious through the upbeat, original pop-rock songs they perform. With three ukuleles in their line-up, along with bass and drums: this is ukepop as you've never heard it before!

The 'Paving the Way' album was recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered at
Creative Control Studio by Josh McCrohan  in Bracknell, who has become a really important factor in Rocket Kings' sound. Dave Stewart produced this record together with McCrohan, who has worked with Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull, Echo & The Bunnymen, Squeeze, Paul Young and Fairport Convention, among others.

"We are really excited to share this album with people. It is chock full of Rocket Kings signature sounds and, as with our first album, these 12 songs are laden with top tunes and harmonies. The overall sound is perhaps a little more rocky this time around, and we regularly use overdrive and phaser pedals. We even have trumpet on a couple of tracks," says Dave Stewart.

"The song arrangements were more collaborative this time around, partly because we feel like we are all playing better than ever as a band and we feed off each other with creative ideas. Also partly because the band found themselves with time to meet up just after Covid without gigs to practice for. Amongst other things, there are songs about space (a regular theme for the band), yellow birds, missing museums, faithful dogs, tall tales and the Berlin Wall."

'Paving the Way' follows on from Rocket Kings' 2021 album
