Pete International Airport presents 'Out Past The Razor Wire (HYM Post-Industrial Remix)' from November EP

Portland-based Pete International Airport presents the single 'Out Past The Razor Wire (HYM Post-Industrial Remix)', created by Holy Youth Movement, a long-term PIA collaborator. This racy adrenaline-filled track is the second taste of Pete International Airport's new 'Sea of Eyes' EP, set for release in November via cult label Little Cloud Records,

Influenced by the energy of rave culture, this is a sonic whirlwind of excitement for listeners, which would have fit perfectly in such iconic soundtracks as 'Hackers' or 'Snatch' with its motorik groove and dynamic energy.

Pete International Airport revolves around Peter G. Holmström of The Dandy Warhols and Sun Atoms, whose sonic vision takes us on a meticulously crafted psychedelic journey into the dark heart of electronic rock. Named after a Dandies song, this project nails the elusive aesthetic of unexpected yet inviting sound art. PIA's quest to build immersive soundscapes that are also timeless songs is successful, in part, due to Holmström’s uncanny ability to curate and his penchant for dropping collaborators into challenging creative spaces—both virtual and actual—then letting them duke it out.

The 'Sea of Eyes' EP consists of five tracks that are rooted in PIA's third album 'It Felt Like The End of the World', released in late 2023 - all five of them co-authored with and featuring vocals by Alexander Hackett. They earlier introduced 'Sea of Eyes' featuring vocals by Alexander Hackett of Montreal dream-gaze outfit Pang Attack. The intriguing shadow-dance video was directed by Francesca Bonci.

The 'Sea of Eyes' EP was mixed by Jeremy Sherrer at Spooky Electric Co. (Modest Mouse, The Shins, The Dandy Warhols) and mastered by Dave Coley at Elysian Mastering. Most tracks were recorded at Holmström’s Air Traffic Control studio in Portland, but drums were recorded at The Trench Studios by The Dandy Warhols' sound engineer Gregg Williams..

"I really wanted to showcase Alexander Hackett’s vocal and lyrical contributions to my record so, using the excuse of a video for 'Sea of Eyes' to release an EP of remixes seemed like a good idea.  Of course lots of remixes don’t use the vocals…anyway…I got to work with Andy Bell (Ride) and Tom Smith (Holy Youth Movement) as well as long time collaborator Daniel Sparks (omniscuro) to put it together," says Holmström.

"I first heard Pang Attack when SUUNS shared a track on their socials.  At first I was disappointed because it didn’t sound like SUUNS (I was obsessing on them hard) but, for some reason, I kept listening. There was something there that I connected with. Alex’s lyrics and melodic choices were perfect and I had to find out if he was interested in working with me. 'Sea Of Eyes' is the second song that Alex and I collaborated on. His lyrics perfectly capture the vibe of the world at that time".

The 'Sea of Eyes' EP is a logical progression (and continuation) of 'It Felt Like The End of the World' and the 'Tic Tac' 7" single, which jointly boast the cream of the neo-psychedelic crop, including Slowdive's Rachel GoswellThe Brian Jonestown Massacre's Anton Newcombe, Dion Lunadon (A Place To Bury Strangers, The D4), Cheap Trick's Tom Petersson, Lisa Elle of Dark Horses, and members of Sun Atoms, Guiding Light and Hopewell.

As of October 1, 'Out Past The Razor Wire (HYM Post-Industrial Remix)' will be be available exclusively via Bandcamp, where the EP is available for pre-order (digitally and on limited edition cassette). The album 'It Felt Like The End of the World' can also be found there, available digitally, on CD and vinyl as a Deluxe double-album with gatefold sleeve. The 'Tic Tac' single with Rachel Goswell and it's 7" vinyl version are available both via Pete International Airport and The Dandy Warhols.

HOST Release Sprawling Ambient Remix Of "Hiding From Tomorrow" By LUSTMORD

Contemporary dark wave project HOST, launched by Nick Holmes and Greg Mackintoshof PARADISE LOST, have released a sprawling ambient remix of 'Hiding From Tomorrow' by LUSTMORD. The remix follows the recent release of the bands debut albumIX.

Greg Mackintosh comments "Lustmord has taken this track from electro goth into a whole new territory. I love it when a remix drifts far and wide from it's source material and he has certainly done that. He has created a sprawling, emotive, cinematic soundscape"

Stream 'Hiding From Tomorrow (Lustmord Remix)' on all platforms now at: https://HOST.bfan.link/HFT-LMR.ema

Purchase IX on various formats now from: https://bfan.link/host-ix.ema

About HOST
The origins of HOST do not trace back to the 1999 PARADISE LOST album bearing the same name but instead to the West Yorkshire music clubs of the mid-to-late 1980s. WhileHolmes and Mackintosh were already certified heavy metal fanatics (“metal thrashing mad” as Holmes equates), they were equally drawn to the New Wave and Goth music scenes. The pounding rhythms, sublime melodies and undercurrent of darkness drew them in, creating immediate earworms and a desire to delve further.

Mackintosh finally put plans into motion during the pandemic for a venture that would merge his penchant for sound design with the moods and atmosphere of 1980s dance-pop and Goth. The project was originally a solo pursuit until he asked Holmes, his longtime PARADISE LOST songwriting partner, to join. 'HOST' was selected as the name as a tip of the hat to the aforementioned album that found PARADISE LOST in an unprecedented period of experimentation that eschewed their metal roots and also challenged their fanbase in ways like never before.

“We always stood by 'Host' as an album,” says Mackintosh. “This project is not totally connected to that album, but some of the ideas are extrapolated. We’re taking the basic premise and trying it out now. And, really, it was something fun and interesting for us to do. We’ve been doing PARADISE LOST for a long time and got an itch to try something different from where PL is now. I could take PL down this route again. Who knows? It may happen if we live long enough, but I thought, ‘Why not now?’ I had the time to do it.”

PORN will release remixes from the final act of Mr Strangler Trilogy , No Monsters in God's Eyes - Act III.

Mr Strangler is dead ! Long live Mr Strangler !

Some of the greatest Industrial Rock acts payed tribute to Mr Strangler in the remixes album : Mr Strangler's Last Words.

" It's an honor for us to have these greats bands involved : Combichrist, Stabbing Westward, Orgy, Jimmy Urine from Mindless Self Indulgence, Chris Vrenna ( ex NIN and Marilyn Manson), The Anix, Ash Code, and Lluther. I am a big fan of all these bands. The PORN's priest aka Aura Shred did a remix too. And with The One, we cooked a special remix with our side-project An erotic end of times. We can't wait to share this remixes with our fans. We are PORN, you are PORN ! Mr Strangler is dead, long live his memory ! " Philippe Deschemin

Here is the first remix by Combichrist. The Industrial Metal band chose to work on the song "A lovely Day." The result is a pure Industrial Rock song with a SynthWave vibe.

The song is available on all streaming platforms.

In 2017, PORN released its third album : The Ogre Inside.- Act I, the first act of a trilogy based on the enigmatic character Mr Strangler. In 2019, the band released the second act of its trilogy : The Darkest of Human Desires – Act II. Today, PORN returns with the final act : No Monsters in God's Eyes – Act III.

The Ogre Inside – Act I / October 2017
The Darkest of Human Desires – Act II / February 2019
No Monsters in God's Eyes – Act III / March 2020

Mr Strangler Trilogy is a 3 album concept about a fictional serial killer, Mr Strangler, and his crew.

The Ogre Inside - Act I :
The Ogre Inside is an album about inner struggle, about dark desires, and how society can oppress your will. This album is about Mr Strangler's childhood. How he discovered his dark desires, tried to hide them and fight against them. This is a fight no one can win. This fight creates the feeling of being devoured on the inside, by an insatiable Ogre. The Ogre that devours you from the inside always wins. We have all experienced this kind of feeling. The album is an invocation, a way to set the Ogre free, embrace your ”true self" and allow your darkest desires to express themselves. It's an incitement to act. The Ogre Inside won this inner struggle, giving birth to Mr Strangler.

The Darkest of Human Desires – Act II
In the second opus, Mr Strangler, by embracing his "true self ", expresses his dark impulses without limitations and has no boundaries. With his crew, Mr Strangler commits murders and massacres. He also invites everyone to make a step forward and act, invites you to express your darkest desires and join his death cult. For Mr Strangler and his team, the Ogre was released. They let the darkest of human desires be : murder.

No Monsters in God's Eyes – Act III
In this final act, Mr Strangler's bloody odyssey comes to an end. He is in jail awaiting execution. This final Act is his testament. Faced with the imminent end of his life, he takes stock of his life and begins a dialogue with his death and enjoins everyone to continue his work... the work of God, because if God exists everything is his. And even the worst monsters are the children of God. There is no monsters in God's eyes.

Just after he died, Mr Strangler became a kind of messiah for an enigmatic community : The Strangelings , led by The Guide. Growing and growing, this community travels from town to town, joined by people fleeing the modern world for a new life.

After collaborating with Tom Baker (responsible for the masterings of legendary albums like Marilyn Manson's Antichrist Superstar, NIN's Downward Spiral, Ministry's Psalm 69 or Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe...)PORN gave Brian Lucey (Magic Garden Studio in Los Angeles)the task of mastering this album. Lucey previously worked with Ghost, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode, Arctic Monkeys, Royal Blood and more.

PORN is refining his musical style that he calls Murder Rock and is pleased to quote The Cure (from which the group gets its name), David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Type O negative, Tool, Nine Inch nails …

PORN formed when psychology and sociology student Philippe Deschemin aka Mr Stranglerdecided to start a band. Named after the Pornography album by The Cure and influenced by bands like Type O Negative, Nine Inch Nails, TOOL, Killing Joke... and legendary acts like David Bowie, Alice Cooper, and Pink Floyd. His mission was to create dark, sexy and dangerous music. "Something like a beautiful, tasty fruit with a razor blade inside called Murder Rock.

PORN has shared stages with major rock acts across Europe including Murderdolls, CKY, Hanoi Rocks, Christian Death, OOMPH!, Lord Of The Lost, ASP, Front Line Assembly and as a headliner act in major venues.
