New Jersey outfit CR and The Nones presents Americana-Classic Rock delight 'The Hills of Pennsylvania' Sophomore album 'The Ghosts Are Coming Home' is out now

"One of the great listens of the year, with this record Gennone has crafted a stirring song-cycle that’s redolent with musical finesse and real indie rock smarts" ~ Stereo Embers Magazine

"CR and the Nones shine on these ten tracks, with smooth vocals, driving hooks, warm candor and solid melodies and elements that recall The War on Drugs or early My Morning Jacket" ~ The Spill Magazine

"With a timbre similar to Elliot Smith and Christopher Cross, CR and The Nones has a huge and positive sound that recalls the best of 70s AM radio, as well as select output from certain 90s artists like Weezer and Better Than Ezra" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"This feels like a new chapter for C.R.’s song-writing, stepping out from his musical roots and shaping his sound into something entirely his own" ~ For The Rabbits

"Gennone channels Neil Young in the melancholy delivery of vocals that perfectly conveys the longing of trying to reach for the stars while knowing you may not even grab one" ~ You Don't Know Jersey
New Jersey's
CR and The Nones present 'The Hills of Pennsylvania', the latest single from their sophomore album 'The Ghosts Are Coming Home', released via Montclair label Magic Door Records. They earlier previewed two singles in the lead-up to this epic release - 'The Long Game' and the record's title track.

Gennone came of age playing in various projects in suburban New Jersey, including his former band, CR and The Degenerates, who released five albums from 2016 to 2018. This new project has allowed him to expand the unique hybrid of folk, country, punk, and heartland rock. CR and The Nones retains the Degenerates' core of Chris Gennone, lead/slide guitarist Jim Abbott, and bassist John Dewitt.

'The Hills of Pennsylvania' is the most Americana-influenced track on the album. Chris Gennone notes, "I wrote this song in my car while driving to visit my grandmother in the hospital. I started humming a melody and the words came pretty quick. She's hanging in there, but I was on edge! My friends Andrew Merclean and Liz Sadkowski shot this video at my apartment and around some farm land outside of Kutztown, PA".

CR and The Nones released their debut album
'Living In Fear' in 2020. Recalling past Garden State guitar music, Gennone’s soulful vocals and his band’s driving hooks invoke roads, journeys, and forward motion in general. Counting Neil Young and Jason Molina among major influences, his sound has always been propulsive.

Mixed by renowned producer
Ray Ketchem (Guided By Voices, Luna, Versus, Elk City, Gramercy Arms) at Magic Door Recording Studio in Montclair, this album was produced by Chris Gennone (CR to his friends) and mastered by Nick Bolton at Bolton Sound in Jersey City.

'The Ghosts Are Coming Home' is a culmination of the sound and aesthetic that CR Gennone has been building over many years and multiple bands. With an expansiveness and introspection that recalls The War on Drugs or early My Morning Jacket, the ten tracks here showcase an irresistible sincerity and heartfelt delivery.

"I wrote and recorded this album before, during and after Covid, and I lived in five different places during this time, so it was a different experience than other stuff I’ve made. In the past, we’ve kind of just rolled with it and come up with guitar leads, riffs, and sounds on the fly. With Covid lockdowns and the help of some friends, this record really gave me the time and space to write and play my own leads, sing my own harmonies, change arrangements, and take on more of the production aspect of it," says CR Gennone.

"I went through a lot of personal changes during the making of this record and I feel like the songs kind of take you through that journey. It’s a hopeful record, but also one that still features loss and even desperation at times. But by its end, there’s a feeling of acceptance and understanding."

More thoughtful and purposive in his songwriting for this album, and encouraged by friends from the NYC and NJ music scenes, Gennone was lured out of his normal songwriting process and comfort zone, opening him to new influences and fostering his growth as a songwriter. Gennone recalls listening to Brian Eno non-stop while recording 'Ghosts', and the synth sounds and ambient textures that underpin much of the album are certainly a testament to that.

'The Ghosts Are coming Home' album is out now and available from fine music platforms, including
SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp.

Weeping Wound Release 'idontbelonghere.' EP Studio Playthrough (via Blood Blast Distribution)

Atmospheric metalcore trio Weeping Wound have today released the video of their studio playthrough of their latest EP, 'idontbelonghere.', with the audio accompaniment set for release this Friday, December 16 (via Blood Blast Distribution). Speaking on the news, the band commented:

"Writing and recording ‘idontbelonghere.’ was a spiritually gratifying experience, we learned about ourselves, each other and our place in the world as artists.

It was ritualistic - and this studio gathering is an authentic display of that: the union of our work and us as a collective.

Nothing can touch the way we feel performing these songs together and we found it important to share that with our listeners.

To let them be a part of our most intimate expressions of self, and join us in the compassion and gratitude we feel for all involved in the making and supporting of our art.

Witnessing this, you are one with us.

Welcome to the Cold Culture."

Prior to today, Weeping Wound released music videos for "fromm.here on" and "fourthh.love" which together have amassed over 53,000 views on YouTube, and the 'idontbelonghere' EP clocking up over 376,000 streams and counting. Watch the live studio video of 'idontbelonghere' below, pre-save the playthrough here, and be sure to stay tuned for more Weeping Wound news coming soon.

Weeping Wound are an atmospheric nu-metalcore outfit whose purpose is to tell their personal stories of occult & esoteric spirituality, mental illness, and substance abuse through sonically intense, genre-bending music.

After touring relentlessly since conception, releasing an EP in 2017, a single the following year, and their debut Billboard charting full-length 'P A I N' in late 2019, they are now collectively entering a new chapter as artists and people; more honest and true to themselves than ever before - feeling like they’ve found their own voice.

Their EP of six tracks, 'idontbelonghere.', is a truly collaborative, cohesive effort between the family the band has become, along with their trusted mixing engineer, George Lever.

With Loren Whitaker’s dynamic sound design and agile drumming, Dylan Torre’s powerful voice and word placement, and Patrick Dowling’s innate sense of structure and barebones heavy riffing, 'idontbelonghere.' is a fresh and bold take on a style of music that as of now has deep roots around the globe.

"Miley [Cyrus] has tons of great songs, but is clearly a rocker to the core. We are all about the female empowerment in this modern classic and it has one of those choruses you can't help but singing along to," says vocalist Nathan James of the album's first single, 'Midnight Sky'.

Hot on the heels of the successful February 2021 release of Inglorious' fourth studio album, “We Will Ride”, their first with the new line-up of Nathan James, Phil Beaver, Danny De La Cruz, Dan Stevens, and Vinnie Colla, the band headed right back into the studio to record a very special new album. The up-and-coming British hard rockers' new release, titled “Heroine,” is a tribute to the various outstanding female musicians who have influenced the band either musically and/or vocally. From putting their own hard rock imprint on pop hits from Whitney Houston, Miley Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, and Christina Aguilera to taking on timeless classic rock songs by Tina Turner, Heart, and Joan Jett, and contemporary rock by the likes of Evanescence, Alanis Morissette, and Halestorm, Inglorious showcase their versatility with the song selections for this covers album.

"First things first, we know it is impossible to make these songs better, the originals are perfect and the performances legendary, so acknowledging that we weren't even gonna come close to the magic of the originals took the pressure off and we could just enjoy making this super fun album. It's about bowing to these incredible artists and, for me personally, saying thank you for sharing their gifts with the world. People assume that the singers I idolise are bluesy rock men, but they couldn't be more wrong. Everyone of these artists has inspired me as a performer, writer, singer, or person. Whether it be the unbeatable voice of Whitney, the charisma of Tina, the honesty of Alanis, the intensity of Lzzy, or the control of Amy Lee. I love the fire all these women bring to their music and that's what we wanted to say thanks for. Not only to these artists, but the awesome women in all of our lives who have loved us and continue to support us. With this in mind we are donating a pound from every copy sold on our webstore to the fantastic charity Women's Aid (https://www.womensaid.org.uk/), who do amazing work supporting women and young girls," says vocalist Nathan James.

The band's new lineup is now more gelled and cohesive after having toured the band's third album, writing and recording together for the fourth album, and now the recording of this fifth album. The guitar duo of Danny Dela Cruz and Dan Stevens interplay and feel shines and the rhythm section of Phil Beaver and Vinnie Colla is tighter than ever. Vocalist Nathan James takes on the daunting task of performing songs originally done by such amazing singers with respect and confidence. The overall results are astounding and a pleasant surprise for the band's fans, who likely weren't expecting a new batch of recorded music this quickly.

Inglorious are five young men with a mutual love and respect for two long-running tentpoles of hard rock music: big guitar riffs and soulful vocals. Formed in February 2014, the band is fronted by Nathan James, who made a name for himself having sung for the multi-platinum selling Trans-Siberian Orchestra and legendary Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth. Nathan was looking for like-minded musicians that desired to make incredible rock music in a very honest fashion. The band’s self-titled debut album received critical and fan acclaim. The follow up album, “II” was another well received affair and was followed by the band’s third album, “Ride To Nowhere". Their fourth studio album, “We Will Ride” was released in February 2021 and charted in the UK, U.S., and several European countries.

The band has toured extensively in the UK and Europe, including appearances at prominent festivals like Download and Ramblin’ Man.

LINE-UP:

Nathan James – Lead Vocals

Danny De La Cruz – Guitar

Dan Stevens – Guitar

Vinnie Colla – Bass Guitar

Phil Beaver – Drums/Percussion

San Antonio, Texas hard rock band Kingdom Collapse have signed on to Dynamic Talent International's impressive roster among acts Red, The Veer UnionVRSTYRed Jumpsuit Apparatus and Alesana to name a few. The band will release their new single "Unbreakable" on June 18, 2021.

Kingdom Collapse - Unbreakable (Official Teaser):

Relevance. It is one of the most innate human desires; to know that we are not alone and that others go through the same struggles. This is why the Texas-based band, Kingdom Collapse, is carving out their spot in the rock world. They seek to give a voice to people who share similar troubles and crave relevancy in an apathetic world.

The world responded to a relevant theme of betrayal when their first single, “Suffer,” amassed over 5,000,000 YouTube views and 900,000 Spotify streams organically. The group’s 2020 hit radio single, “Uprise,” broke into the Billboard Mainstream Rock Top 40 as well as the Mediabase Active Rock charts for 9 weeks straight. “Uprise” went on to become Sirius XM Octane’s #1 Most Played song for two consecutive weeks and has since accumulated over 1,600,000 Spotify streams, tipping the band’s total stream count over 3.5 million.

The group features Jonathan Norris on vocals, David Work on guitar, Aaron Smith on bass and Elijah Santucci on drums. Together, with a mutual vision, they are bringing their shared experiences to the masses and looking to help as many people as they can with a feeling of solidarity.

The band’s 2021 follow-up radio single, “Unbreakable,” is an anthem that is emotionally honest and relevant to today's times. Written and produced by lead singer, Jonathan Norris and mixed/mastered by Chris Mora of War Horse Recordings, it sends a positive message to listeners by teaching that even life’s hardest moments can be a benefit. Norris writes, “‘Unbreakable’ comes from a lyrical standpoint of looking back at various struggles that life has thrown at you and coming to realize that those struggles ultimately made you stronger. We’ve all been there, and it’s about finding the silver lining in the midst of dark times.”

Kingdom Collapse has been playing stages across the US and has already shared the stage with the likes of 10 YearsFrom Ashes To NewColdRedSaliva and many other hard rock heavy-hitters. In May of 2021 the band signed with one of the leading booking agencies in the industry, Dynamic Talent International, and will be announcing more tour dates soon.
