The Intemperate Sons emerged onto the rock scene in the summer of 2019 in Dallas, TX, to bring their distinct sound to the genre. A deep love for music brought family members Keith Watson (drums), Jake Watson (guitars) and Max Watson (vocals, guitars, keys) together along with close friend Mark Marks, who provides the groove on bass to unite everything together. The band's sound has been described as a 90's alternative style that is obsessed with the 70's.

Keith is well acquainted with entertaining massive crowds of concert goers and has played with many successful bands in Dallas, such as Gun Hill, Natural Born Thrillers and Agents of Solace, on top of opening for Lynch Mob, Joe Lynn Turner and Sponge. He is the primary lyricist for the band and has written the music for some of their most successful songs, including “Dust to Dust,” “The Color Within,” and “Unrealized.”

Multi-talented and gifted with the ability to play various instruments, Max is also the lead vocalist of the group. Along with being musically dexterous, he has also collaborated with Keith to write lyrics on the released songs “Going Crazy” and “Way Back When.” In the studio, Max usually surmounts expectations and goes above and beyond to prepare prior to a session with his own vocal harmonies.

Jake is the song architect of the Sons and extremely instrumental in the crafting of the music. His inventive ways of bringing lyrics to life in clever ways are unprecedented and fascinating to see in the studio setting. He is a prolific writer of music as well and is credited with helping create the songs “What’s Done is Done,” “Remission,” “Way Back When” and “Wading in the Gray.” Both Max and he play lead guitar on many of the songs as well. The other members of the band fondly refer to him as the “art director” since he enjoys taking charge in those areas for the group.

Prolific and unifying, Mark is an accomplished bass player and well known in Dallas. He was in the regionally successful band, Haggard, and had opened for Sebastian Bach of Skid Row. His input in song writing has been invaluable to the process of creating captivating melodies.

Despite the pandemic putting a pause on many major events, The Intemperate Sons lived up to their name and let nothing hold them back from making music. Constantly hard at work in the studio, they have collaborated with Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy, Rough Cutt) and Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Adema, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy). Both have lent their musical talents to various songs and ultimately have brought the Sons on to their label, Frame|Work. This led the band to also recently join the management roster at The Label Group. Ryan worked with Amir to produce the band’s upcoming track, “Game of Keep Away,”and has had a huge impact on the group. He’s been especially influential on Max’s vocal melodies and delivery. Amir also plays guitar on this latest ballad and has been mixing all of the band’s music as well as performing on multiple songs.

Another notable collaboration has been with Tony Franklin (The Firm, Roy Harper, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Whitesnake), primarily on the first album, The Color Within. He has been a valuable friend of the band and has played bass on some of their best tracks from that album, including “Running Man,” “Dust to Dust” and “The Color Within.”

The Intemperate Sons’ take on alternative rock is a dark and powerful concoction of hard rock mixed with folk and grunge concepts. The band has earned a serious reputation for writing and performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style, which has a retro vibe with many guitar-driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate at a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and even R.E.M.

The Intemperate Sons Release Official Music Video for Single "CØNTRØL8 " via FRAME|WORK

"CØNTRØL8," the newest track from The Intemperate Son's LP, Dark Day’s Night, is now available on all major platforms. The album is set to release on June 20, 2024. This electrifying album will be available on both vinyl and CD formats.

The video for "Cøntrøl8" vividly captures the paradox of exerting control over others as a means to counterbalance the feeling of being controlled, wrapped in a visually striking and emotionally powerful lyrical story.

Pre-order began on Monday March 18th where fans have the exclusive opportunity to secure a limited edition 12" vinyl LP, offered in various package configurations.

Pre-order Dark Day's Night HERE

For the first time since their inception, The Intemperate Sons collaborated with guest lyricist, Megan Watson, to paint the verbal picture with this powerfully melodic track. "CØNTRØL8" was produced by The Intemperate Sons and Amir Derakh (Rough Cutt, Orgy, Dead by Sunrise, Julien-K) and recorded at The Kitchen Recording Studios in Dallas, TX. "CØNTRØL8" explores our tendencies as humans to control others through efforts to feel better about ourselves. Inadvertently, such behaviors are inherently destructive within and without and create a lonely existence. Maybe we should let go?

Immerse yourself in the gritty sonic landscape of The Intemperate Sons' second album, Dark Day's Night. With tracks like the haunting title song, the introspective "Falling Under," and the reflective "Way Back When," this album weaves a compelling story of resilience amidst turmoil. "Unrealized" and "CØNTRØL8" delve into the battle for autonomy in a disordered world, while "Game of Keep Away"offers a raw take on the struggle of self-destruction and survival. The album also features a heavier, more intense cover of Nirvana's "Dumb," adding a unique layer to this already diverse album. Dark Day's Night is not just an album; it's a journey through the shadows, echoing with the sounds of defiance and liberation.

The Intemperate Sons release all their music through the Frame|Work record label at the direction of Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck (Orgy, Julien-K, Dead by Sunrise, Adema). A brand-new music video for the single will be released on 3/22/24 to the usual platforms. All Intemperate Sons’ tracks are mixed by Amir Derakh in Long Beach, CA. All mastering is done by Mike Marsh Mastering in the U.K.

The Intemperate Sons Release New Single "Faceless Man" + Official Music Video via FRAME|WORK

Indie rock band The Intemperate Sons released their latest single "Faceless Man"from their highly anticipated new album Game of Keep Away that will be released to all major platforms via FRAME|WORK in the fall of 2023. The band also released the official music video for the single today and are in the early stages of planning a fall run of shows on the west coast.

"'Faceless Man' is our latest journey into an alt-acoustic soundscape with the proper amount of electric elements inspired from a heavy Alice in Chains influence circa the SAP-era. The song is about the fatalist view of the world seen through the eyes of an otherwise invisible person trying to survive from minute to minute. There is heavy influence on this track, not only from Alice in Chains, but from The Doors and Stone Temple Pilots as well," says the band.

The Intemperate Sons release all their music through the Frame|Work record label at the direction of Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck. The Intemperate Sons are managed by Denny Sanders at The Label Group. The video was produced by Ardent Owl Media and Keith Watson.

JULIEN-K Debuts New Single "YOUR TEARS MEAN NOTHING" + Official Music Video via FRAME|WORK

Julien-K is an independent electro-rock band formed in Long Beach CA in 2008 by long time friends and collaborators Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck (founding members of Orgy, Dead By Sunrise). Later joined by Anthony “Fu” Valcic in 2009, the band recorded it’s now classic debut album Death To Analog. Over the last 10 years, the band has released multiple albums and toured extensively, and has become one of the most successful crowd-funded bands in the world. Despite the band's dark & stylistic videos and Blade Runner-esque imagery, the band has focused on a totally “connected” independent and authentic fan-focused career path - often avoiding a more classic commercial approach.

The Intemperate Sons Release Official Music Video for Single "Game of Keep Away"

Indie rock band The Intemperate Sons released the official music video for the title track from their highly anticipated new album Game of Keep Away that will be released to all major platforms via FRAME|WORK in the fall of 2023. The band is in the early stages of planning a fall run of shows on the west coast.

The boys in The Intemperate Sons traveled to CA to record this track at MAPS Studio at the direction of Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Orgy, Dead by Sunrise) and Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Adema, Orgy, Dead by Sunrise). This is the first time, and definitely not the last, having Amir and Ryan at the producer helm and was an amazing collaborative experience. Amir joined Jake and Max on guitar to contribute to the track as well.

The Intemperate Sons' video supporting the release was shot by Ryan Whiteheadfrom Ardent Owl Media and edited by Brandon Smith from The Anix.

“Game of Keep Away” is the story of the struggle to dig out of hole created by one’s own destructive behavior. The Intemperate Sons release all their music through the Frame|Work record label at the direction of Amir Derakh, Ryan Shuck, and Denny Sanders at The Label Group.

Keith is well acquainted with entertaining massive crowds of concert goers and has played with many successful bands in Dallas, such as Gun Hill, Natural Born Thrillers and Agents of Solace, on top of opening for Lynch Mob, Joe Lynn Turnerand Sponge. He is the primary lyricist for the band and has written the music for some of their most successful songs, including “Dust to Dust,” “The Color Within,”and “Unrealized.”

Ryan worked with Amir to produce the band’s upcoming track, “Game of Keep Away,” and has had a huge impact on the group.

After a successful show at The Viper Room in Hollywood, CA, the band plans to do some regional shows in Texas and then head out West this year as well.

The Intemperate Sons are:

Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass)

Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals)

Mark Marks (bass)

Slaves to Humanity Announce Multiple Show Dates in Washington!

Slaves To Humanity announced that they will be playing a string of shows in Washington in January, 2023.

"I’m really excited. It’s gonna be extremely refreshing. I absolutely love Seattle, and I cannot wait to show our music to a new crowd. It’s a little scary, but the excitement outweighs any fear I have! " says Aidan Amini.

Shane Ryan adds, "Going on tour is one of the main things I’ve been looking forward to doing since I started playing drums, and now that we’re actually going to make that dream a reality is super surreal for me. This is going to be just the first of many tours we will be going on as a band and it’ll definitely be one to remember."

"I'm looking forward to it. There's something about being completely on our own that feels like a necessary stage in our journey. A little scary? Exciting? Definitely a bit of both," comments Nathan Johnson.

Pierce Akers also comments,"I’m excited but definitely nervous because I haven’t done anything like this, but this is definitely something that needs to happen for us to move on this musical boat."

Slaves to Humanity (STH) is a Sunset Grunge band from Orange County California. It’s members include Aidan Amini on vocals, Pierce Akers on guitar, Shane Ryan on drums, and Nathan Johnson on the bass. Together the band mates create a sound like no other, mixing the melodic guitars of the late 80s era hard rock bands, and the lyrics and vocal sound of the 90s grunge era, as well as throwing modern rock elements all around.

In 2019 they released their first single “BATTLEGROUND” which had success in radio stations and streaming platforms alike. Following this release, during the Covid 19 pandemic, the band released “Behind My Back” which showed even more success. Both singles were the most requested song on KLOS and received heavy rotation on that major radio station for many months throughout the pandemic.

During the pandemic, the band worked hard on putting together their social media presence and continue to do so today, showing success on Tiktok and Instagram. The band continues to play shows in Southern California as well as build their social media presence.

The band appeared on Episode 2 and Episode 10 of the show NO COVER - (The only Music Competition show w/ unsigned artists performing original songs).

Adema Release New Single "Violent Principles" + Official Music Video; Announce Summer Tour

"VIOLENT PRINCIPLES" is the second major single feat. new singer Ryan Shuck. With the band's first single being a heavy hitting screamer, and scoring as an undeniable hit for the band, "VIOLENT PRINCIPLES" shows the "other side" of Adema's signature sound: dark, melodic, and heavy. Shuck says of the new album, "360 Degrees Of Separation is going to have plenty of heavy songs with all the ripping screams and vocals that we know many of our fans want - but it will also have heavy melodic tracks in the vein of Adema's hit songs like 'Giving In'. 'Violent Principles' is one of those."

Released on Shuck's label FRAME|WORK and produced by Amir Derakh, the second major single is going to be followed by a major summer tour with good friends HEDpe, Crazytown, and Flaw. (dates below)

The video was produced by FRAME|WORK and directed and edited by Oscar Gutiérrez of The Anix.
