Dalton Dover Pays Tribute to Aragon, Georgia with "Here's The Deal"

In a world that frequently romanticizes new beginnings and far-off destinations, Dalton Dover, an Aragon, Georgia native and current resident, releases an anthem celebrating the powerful bond between an individual and their hometown with “Here’s The Deal,” available now via Mercury Nashville.

“When I first heard ‘Here’s The Deal,’ I immediately knew I wanted to cut it. It’s the perfect song to pay tribute to the place where my journey began and a place that will always be a part of my story,” shares Dover. “Growing up in Aragon and still living there is such a big part of my identity, along with the people there who make it special. This song is for them, but it’s also for anyone who appreciates where they’re from.”

Written by Michael Hardy, Chase McGill and Matt Dragstrem and produced by Matt McVaney (McV), “Here’s The Deal” serves as a heartfelt reminder of the significance of home:

“Here’s The Deal” follows Dover’s current single “Bury Me In This Bar,” written by Dover with Dan Isbell, Jamie Davis and Benjy Davis, which earned MusicRow’s DISClaimer Disc of the Day, praising, “Dover continues his winning ways with this romping, stomping honky tonker with flourishes of steel and galloping rhythm. Thirsty for real country music? Belly up to this bar. You need the song on your playlist, now more than ever.”

Filmed at The Nashville Palace, the official music video for “Bury Me In This Bar” premiered with CMT, CMT Music and Paramount Times Square Billboard. Watch the video HERE.

Following his third year performing at CMA Fest, Dover will perform at additional festivals this summer before heading out on Sam Hunt’s Locked Up Tour this fall. For tickets and additional information, visit DaltonDoverOfficial.com.

Lauded by MusicRow as a “master country talent,” Dalton Dover’s new single “Bury Me In This Bar” is available now via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records, along with his latest release “Here’s The Deal.” His debut radio single “Giving Up On That” was the most-added track at Country Radio upon its debut with 60 first-week adds and can be found on his EP Never Giving Up On That. Named a 2024 Tidal Artist to Watch, Pandora 2023 Artist to Watch, an Amazon Music 2023 Breakthrough Artist to Watch: Country Class and a member of CMT’s LISTEN UP 2023 Class, he will support Sam Hunt on the Locked Up Tour later this fall. Dover made his Grand Ole Opry debut in December 2022, followed by his international debut in 2023 at C2C: Country to Country Festival’s CMA Songwriters Series and has performed across multiple stages at CMA Fest, including the Nissan Stadium Platform stage. In addition to playing Luke Combs’ Whiskey Jam Bootleggers Tailgate Party, he’s supported Chase Rice, Parker McCollum, Larry Fleet, Priscilla Block and more. Dalton Dover Releases New Single "Bury Me In This Bar"

As he gears up to kick off his headlining Never Giving Up On That Tour next week, Dalton Dover delivers his new single via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records with the rollicking “Bury Me In This Bar.” Listen to the new song Below.

“This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of writing,” Dover shares. “We really wanted to capture the fun and energy of those ‘90s country bar anthems that you just can’t skip or resist singing along with when you hear it. I believe it’s one that would make my heroes proud, and we can’t wait to hear people sing it with us on the road.”

Written by Dalton Dover, Dan Isbell, Jamie Davis and Benjy Davis, and produced by longtime collaborator Matt McVaney (McV), “Bury Me In This Bar” is laced with steel guitar and punctuated with hard rock hits amid the Georgia native’s dynamic vocals:

Yeah, there’s one thing you can count on
Ain’t no one getting out of
This wake up, working, wild world alive
            Some folks prefer a casket
            Some get turned to ashes
But I got other plans for when I die

Oh, bury me in this bar
Where the women and the whiskey ain’t too far
Yeah, my soul is meant to belong
            Underneath that neon
Smiling to the sound of a steel guitar
I’ll rest in peace where all my people are
            Bury me in this bar

Today’s release follows Take Me Home: Covers which showcases Dover’s roots and influences growing up in Georgia, with Billboard calling it a “well-curated, fresh take on a collection of classics,” as MusicRow lauds him as “one of our finest young country voices.”

After wrapping up a string of shows supporting Larry Fleet, along with joining BRELAND & Friends at Ryman Auditorium earlier this week, Dover will embark on his headlining Never Giving Up On That Tour next Friday, April 5 in Houston, Texas. Tickets are on sale now at DaltonDoverOfficial.com.

Dalton Dover Releases 'Take Me Home: Covers' + Video for "Go Rest High On That Mountain"

Rising country artist Dalton Dover releases Take Me Home: Covers via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records, a musical journey that pays homage to his roots while honoring some of the songs that laid the groundwork for the artist and songwriter he is today. Listen HERE. Also out today is the official music video for “Go Rest High On That Mountain,” shot in Georgia, near Dover’s childhood home.

“My grandfather is the person that introduced me to country music. He’d play his records, and I remember thinking, ‘I want to do that. I want to tell stories and write songs that are relatable to everyone,’” shares Dover. “The songs we chose are timeless, so I wanted to stay faithful to the spirit of each one, but I loved getting to put some of my own style into it too.”

The project includes Vince Gill’s “Go Rest High On That Mountain” with backing vocals from the 22x GRAMMY winner himself and a rousing performance of Alabama’s “Mountain Music.” The Georgia native introduced the collection with John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” with MusicRow praising, “Think again, if you think you’ve heard this oldie often enough. Dover’s slowed-down, gentle, caressing, thoughtful reading of the lyric brings a whole new dimension to the song,” as Wide Open Country observes, “By singing one we all know, Dover drew attention to his smooth twang and his innate ability to make us feel the emotions packed in every line.”

After honing his live show with festival dates and supporting acts such as Luke Combs, Tyler Hubbard, Sam Hunt, Parker McCollum, Justin Moore and Chase Rice, Dover will join Larry Fleet on The Earned It Tour later this month ahead of his headlining Never Giving Up On That Tour kicking off in April. Tickets are on sale now at DaltonDoverOfficial.com.

Dover is signed with United Talent Agency for worldwide booking representation in all areas, along with Sony Music Publishing Nashville in partnership with Droptine Music Publishing. For more information, visit DaltonDoverOfficial.com or follow along on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook.

Dalton Dover Readies 'Take Me Home: Covers' Collection for February 9

Growing up in Polk County, Georgia, Dalton Dover is no stranger to rural origins. His love of country music was sparked by his grandfather, who introduced him to a wellspring of artists that traversed decades of tradition. With Take Me Home: Covers, set for release February 9 via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records, Dover is paying homage to his roots and saluting some of the songs that first enamored him to the genre. Pre-save HERE.

“I grew up in a musical family, where we’d sing at church and then go home and keep singing,” reveals Dover. “My grandpa would put on his favorite records, and I’d listen to the stories. Seeing my own life in those lyrics is what made me fall in love with country music, and I can’t think of a better way to honor that than sharing these songs.”

Although the full track list is yet to be revealed, Dover recently released a rendition of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” earning MusicRow’s “Disc of the Day” and praising, “He remains one of our finest young country voices. Think again, if you think you’ve heard this oldie often enough. Dover’s slowed-down, gentle, caressing, thoughtful reading of the lyric brings a whole new dimension to the song. This man has the goods. A loud, “Amen” from this corner.”

Wide Open Country observes, “By singing one we all know, Dover drew attention to his smooth twang and his innate ability to make us feel the emotions packed in every line,” calling him “one of the more captivating young artists to sign a big-label deal in recent memory.”

After honing his live show with festival dates and supporting acts such as Luke Combs, Tyler Hubbard, Sam Hunt, Parker McCollum, Justin Moore and Chase Rice, Dover is gearing up to embark on his first headlining club tour with his Never Giving Up On That Tour, kicking off Feb. 23 among dates on Larry Fleet’s The Earned It Tour. Lauded by MusicRow as a “master country talent,” Dalton Dover’s debut radio single “Giving Up On That” via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records was the most-added track at Country Radio upon its debut with 60 first week adds, and it can be found on his latest EP Never Giving Up On That, featuring eight tracks including “Night To Go,” “Baby I Am,” “Hear About A Girl,” and more. Named a Tidal Artist to Watch 2024, Pandora 2023 Artist to Watch, an Amazon Music 2023 Breakthrough Artist to Watch: Country Class and a member of CMT’s LISTEN UP 2023 Class, he will embark on his headlining Never Giving Up On That Tour in early 2024. Dover made his Grand Ole Opry debut in December 2022, followed by his international debut in 2023 at C2C: Country to Country Festival’s CMA Songwriters Series before joining Chase Rice on the Way Down Yonder Tour. This summer, Dover performed across four stages at CMA Fest, including the Nissan Stadium Platform stage and played Luke Combs’ Whiskey Jam Bootleggers Tailgate Party at Gillette Stadium in July. By the age of 16, Dover had picked up a guitar and started teaching himself to play, yet it was his grandfather who turned him on to country music and artists such as Keith Whitley, Rhett Akins, Joe Diffie and Steve Wariner. Performances at local bars soon followed along with sharing covers of some of his favorite songs on TikTok. It was there he caught the ear of producer Matt McV and A&R veteran and founder of Droptine, Jim Catino, who quickly signed Dover. His debut track “You Got a Small Town,” produced by McV, quickly garnered critical acclaim from Billboard, MusicRow, Country Now and Wide Open Country. With his debut and his follow-up “Baby I Am” earning notable playlisting, Dover was named a Spotify Hot Country 2022 Artist to Watch along with a spotlight as Billboard’s February Country Rookie of the Month and a nod for MusicRow’s 2022 Discovery Artist of the Year. Dalton Dover Releases 'Never Giving Up On That' Collection

Named a Pandora 2023 Artist to Watch, an Amazon Music 2023 Breakthrough Artist to Watch: Country Class and a member of CMT’s LISTEN UP 2023 Class, Dalton Dover releases his eight-song collection Never Giving Up On That via Mercury Records/UMG Nashville, featuring two new songs including “Dirt Roads and Jesus” and an alluring cover of “If I Ain’t Got You.” Listen to Never Giving Up On That HERE.

We can’t wait to bring more new music to you soon.”

Along with “If I Ain’t Got You,” a staple and fan-favorite in his live set, “Dirt Roads and Jesus,” written by Dover with his producer Matt McVaney and Alex Maxwell, is a striking ballad, expressing where he feels closest to God. As he debuted the song during his first performance at the Grand Ole Opry, he explained he’d faced some tough times throughout his life, but his faith has always brought him out the other side to better days.

Today’s release follows barn-burner “Night To Go,” praised by

Dalton Dover Revisits '90s Country with "Night To Go"

As current single “Giving Up On That” continues climbing the charts, MusicRow-dubbed “master country talent” Dalton Dover releases a new Friday night anthem with “Night To Go” via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records. Listen to the new song HERE.

“When I heard this song for the first time, it took me back to being a kid. This is the kind of music I grew up listening to,” shares Dover. “I wanted to do something that would make my ‘90s Country heroes proud.”

Written by Cole Taylor, Trea Landon, Shane Minor and Michael Carter, “Night To Go” is a nostalgic ‘90s barn burner with copious steel guitar, as Dover showcases his powerful voice and delivers the perfect night in the country:

It ain’t parking with your buddies at the same ol’ bar
Drinking all the same ol’ drinks
It ain’t hangin’ at the house all by yourself
       Staring at a football game
Well there’s a million different ways to burn some moonlight
But if you asked me there ain’t nothing like

Pick her up at seven, she climbs on in
Ride around a little to a country song
Pull into that county line and go
And go and get our cold beer on
Lean in for a kiss underneath the stars
Til the sun shows up, just hold her close
That’s about as good as a good ol’ boy
Would ever want a night to go

Dover’s first official single “
Giving Up On That” debuted as the most-added song at Country radio, with MusicRowcalling it “a solid winner,” boasting, “this power ballad of regret and yearning gives him a super showcase for his dynamic, whisper-to-a-scream vocal ability,” and of Dover, “make this man a star.”

Ahead of Mother’s Day, the Georgia native paid tribute to his mother with “
I Wouldn’t Be Here” and delivered a preview of the song as he shared his mom’s reaction to hearing it for the first time on his Instagram.

Named a Pandora 2023 Artist to Watch, an Amazon Music 2023 Breakthrough Artist to Watch: Country Class and a member of CMT’s LISTEN UP 2023 Class, Dover made his international debut earlier this year at C2C: Country to Country Festival’s CMA Songwriters Series before joining Chase Rice on the Way Down Yonder Tour. Dalton Dover Pays Tribute Ahead of Mother's Day with "I Wouldn't Be Here"

On the heels of his first single via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records “Giving Up On That” earning the title of most-added the week of its debut at Country radio, Dalton Dover releases “I Wouldn’t Be Here,” paying tribute his momma ahead of Mother’s Day. Dover’s Instagram followers got a preview of the song when he shared his mom’s reaction to hearing it for the first time. “I Wouldn’t Be Here” is streaming everywhere now.

“I wrote ‘I Wouldn’t Be Here’ for one of the most important people in my life, my momma,” shares Dover. “She’s my best friend, the greatest Mimi to my babies and the wisest woman I’ve ever met. I’m so grateful that I get to call her mom.”

Written by Dover with Russell Sutton and Dan Isabell, “I Wouldn’t Be Here” touches on the highs and lows of growing up and the saving grace of Dover’s mother, as he speaks to her directly throughout the song:

Every little league game, every middle school play
Every time I scraped my knee
Every double shift, every penny pinched
Was for my brother and sister and me
My first song came out all wrong, but you told me it was good
I’m standing now to a sold out crowd just like you said I would

Every time I hit rock bottom
You picked me right back up
When I felt like I was nothing
You said son you’re more than enough
I’m the man I am today because you cared
I wouldn’t be here if you hadn’t been there

Named a Pandora 2023 Artist to Watch, an Amazon Music 2023 Breakthrough Artist to Watch: Country Class and a member of CMT’s LISTEN UP 2023 Class, Dover made his international debut at C2C: Country to Country Festival’s CMA Songwriters Series before joining Chase Rice on the Way Down Yonder Tour. Rising country newcomer Dalton Dover continues to earn accolades and benchmarks among a series of milestones in a pivotal year as Pandora names him a 2023 Artist to Watch while CMT welcomes him as a member of their 2023 LISTEN UP class.

Earlier this month, Dover made his Grand Ole Opry debut with a performance of two new songs, “Giving Up On That” and “Dirt Roads And Jesus,” the latter being the first single he will release in 2023 via Universal Music Group Nashville/Mercury Records, who he signed with earlier this year.

“I never thought in a million years that I’d be standing right here in this circle,” Dover shared on stage. “I brought my family last year, and we walked through on the tour here at the Opry. Little did I know that a year later, I'd be making my Opry debut. It's pretty special to say the least.”

In August, Dover was on the final night of his Ole Red residency, performing across the Nashville, Gatlinburg and Orlando locations, when legendary country artist Blake Shelton dialed in on the red phone at Ole Red Nashville and interrupted Dover’s set with an invitation to make his Grand Ole Opry debut. He tearfully accepted, replying, “I’ll be there, I promise.”

His debut invitation was a full circle moment for Dover, as Shelton marked one of the first milestones in his career on Season 16 of “The Voice,” where the Georgia native earned a chair turn from the coach for his performance of Keith Whitley’s “Don’t Close Your Eyes.”

After being named a 2022 Spotify Artist to Watch, he released “Hear About A Girl,” earning praise from Billboard noting, “Dover’s voice is both intimate and commanding on this track,” while MusicRow asserts it confirms “we’re in the presence of a master country talent when this man sings…Make him a star. Now.” He followed the song with “Damn Good Life,” with The Boot sharing, “Dover is savoring every moment in his uplifting new single,” while Country Now observes, “Between the optimistic narrative that Dover delivers through his crisp vocals and the carefree tune highlighted by the impressive guitar strum, nothing but a good time can be had when this song comes through the speakers.”

Dalton Dover Releases New Song "Damn Good Life"

Following the announcement of his global deal with Sony Music Publishing and Droptine Music Publishing earlier this week, the MusicRow-dubbed “master country talent” Dalton Dover releases his new song “Damn Good Life,” written by Dover, Alex Maxwell and Jaxson Free. Listen to “Damn Good Life” below.

“I wanted to write a song that makes people smile. There are plenty of drinkin’ songs, and there are plenty of love songs, but not enough feel-good songs,” Dover shares. “When Alex, Jaxson and I sat down, we were having a great day and ‘Damn Good Life’ basically wrote itself. It’s a reminder not to take all the little things for granted in life.”

Last month, as Dover was wrapping his seven-night Ole Red residency in Nashville, the Spotify Hot Country 2022 Artist to Watch was surprised by a call from the red phone during his set with none other than Blake Shelton on the line, inviting Dover to make his Grand Ole Opry debut later this year on Dec. 3.

“I’ve done the Opry tour and I walked out on the stage for a minute, but I really didn’t get to stay out there long,” Dover shared with Country Now. “So having the opportunity to go sing out there is gonna be different. It’s gonna be an animal. It’s gonna be a game changer.”

Before he makes it into the famed circle for a performance, Dover will support Priscilla Block this fall on the Welcome to the Block Party Tour launching Oct. 13 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tickets are on sale now.

Today’s release follows “Hear About A Girl,” “You Got A Small Town” and “Baby I Am,” earning Dover a spotlight as Billboard’s February Country Rookie of the Month and Country Now’s “Country Next,” sharing “Dover’s country music career may be just beginning, but his star is quickly catching fire.”

“This ride so far has been crazy,” says Dover of releasing 3 songs since October 2021 independently. “Everything I’ve worked for my entire life is happening right before my eyes, and I’ll forever be grateful to everyone for listening, sharing and duetting the music and to the Country community for giving this ole boy from Georgia a real shot. I’m so thankful for each of you. Here’s to dreams coming true, some kick-ass shows and new music!”

Written by Adam Craig, Michael Carter and Jim McCormick, and produced by Matt McV, “Hear About A Girl” showcases the Georgia-native’s dynamic vocals, with MusicRow sharing the song is “beautifully done,” giving him “the space to stretch his range and volume,” while also praising, “We’re the presence of a master country talent when this man sings. Make him a star. Now.”

Today’s release follows his debut songs “You Got A Small Town” and “Baby I Am,” which saw the 23-year-old garnering critical acclaim from Billboard, sharing “he infuses his brand of country with a bluesy intensity,” and earning a spotlight as February’s Country Rookie of the Month. He was also named Country Now “Country Next” artist, sharing “Dover’s country music career may be just beginning, but his star is quickly catching fire.”

About Dalton Dover
Twenty-three-year-old Dalton Dover first started singing at church as a kid, winning his fifth-grade school talent show performing Justin Bieber’s “Baby.” In that moment Dover’s love of performing was born. By the age of 16 he had picked up a guitar and started teaching himself to play, yet it was his grandfather who turned him on to country music and artists such as Keith Whitley, Rhett Akins, Joe Diffie and Steve Wariner. Enamored with the honesty and storytelling found in country music, Whitley’s “Don’t Close Your Eyes” was the first song Dover taught himself to play on guitar. Performances at local bars soon followed along with sharing covers of some of his favorite songs on TikTok. It was there he caught the ear of producer Matt McV and A&R Veteran and founder of Droptine Recordings, Jim Catino, who quickly signed Dover.

Married to his high school sweetheart, Faith, the two have lived in the same rural Georgia small town, population 1,200, all their lives, important for the Dovers to give their two young children, Taylor and Alyiah, the same idyllic childhood they had growing up — the life one finds in a small town. And it’s that pace and familiarity he enjoys so much that he sings about on his debut track “You Got a Small Town.” Produced by McV and available now on Droptine, “You Got A Small Town” earned praise from Billboard, sharing “the song’s tale is lifted by blazing guitar lines and Dover's soaring vocals, transforming the track into a smoky love letter to small towns” with MusicRowcalling it “an impressive debut, reminiscent of the titanic Luke Combs.” With this debut track and follow-up “Baby I Am” earning notable playlisting, Dover was named a Spotify Hot Country 2022 Artist to Watch. His latest release “Hear About A Girl” is available now. Dover is set to release new music throughout the remainder of 2022. For the latest follow along on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook.

“The way listeners have embraced ‘You Got A Small Town’ and ‘Baby I Am’ changed my life,” shares Dover. “I’m so grateful to the fans I gained throughout 2021, and I’m looking forward to sharing more new music with those who’ve followed my musical journey so far and for those who haven’t heard me yet. I think last year was about finding my footing and my team, and this year, it’s all about keeping that drive and to continue growing as an artist.”

“Dalton has one of the smoothest voices I’ve ever heard,” adds producer Mat McVaney (McV) of the now 23-year-old singer/songwriter. “I’ve always wanted to find an artist that can walk into a room with just a guitar and just blow them away. Dalton has that it-factor along with an incredible personality and real love of Country music. He’s the real deal.”

Released via industry vet Jim Catino’s Droptine Recordings and managed by Charly Salvatore of Underscore Works, Dover hit the ground running with “You Got A Small Town,” as Billboard praises “the song’s tale is lifted by blazing guitar lines and Dover's soaring vocals, transforming the track into a smoky love letter to small towns,” while MusicRow lauds Dover “displays impressive range and volume on this salute to rural roots,” calling it “an impressive debut, reminiscent of the titanic Luke Combs.”

Along with naming Dover a “Country Next: Artist to Watch in 2022,” Country Now dubbed “You Got A Small Town” as “a single that blends Jason Aldean-esque heavy guitars with smooth vocals that showcase ‘90s country inspirations like Joe Diffie and Rhett Akins,” with the track finding a home on Spotify’s Hot Country, Breakout Country, American Made, Fresh Finds Country: Best of 2021 and RADAR Country, while “Baby I Am” landed on Spotify’s New Boots and Fresh Finds, along with Apple Music’s Country Risers, 5th Gear, Soundcheck and New in Country.

Dover, with the help of his wife Faith, created a popular series for his nearly 485K followers on TikTok called #CatchMeOffGuard, with his first medley garnering over 4 million views and gaining him early praise from the likes of Jimmie Allen, Luke Combs, Kidd G and Kameron Marlowe.

“We were sitting at the house on a Friday night and Faith started tossing out songs for me to sing and she happened to be filming it,” Dover elaborates. “It’s now one of our favorite things to do, toss out songs we love from artists we admire and see how we can mash them up with the music I've been creating.”
