The Plot In You Announce 'The Volume Series' Collection out July 10 via Fearless Records

Genre-blending heavyweights The Plot In You have today announced 'The Volume Series', a full-length culmination that unifies that band's preceding four EP installments into one complete collection, set for release on Friday, July 10 (via Fearless Records). Having already amassed a staggering 360 million global streams and counting, the collection highlights the quartet's intentional progression and artistic vision that have been steadily revealed over time, demarcating a full era of the band's evolution and introduced as a singular, expansive body of work. Holding Absence Announce Sumerian Records Signing "Whisper Of A Dream" Single And Music Video Out Now

South Wales trio Holding Absence today release "Whisper Of A Dream", their first new music since 2023’s ‘The Noble Art Of Self-Destruction’ and their first for new label Sumerian Records. 

This track captures what it means to be human when hope feels out of reach. Holding Absence explore the tension between numbness and healing, tapping into a state so dark it feels almost inhuman. It is a search for something better, while watching it slip further away. Sitting between emotional hardcore and alternative, Holding Absence lean into deep vulnerability, pulling listeners into a world shaped by their lyrics and striking visual identity. The single also marks the introduction of a character that will unfold across the album campaign. 

Speaking of "Whisper Of A Dream", frontman Lucas Woodland shares:

“'Whisper Of A Dream' is our first song back in what feels like forever. After releasing our third record, 'The Noble Art Of Self-Destruction', it felt essential to step away for a while - to take stock and rediscover who we are as a band. "Whisper" felt like the perfect song to return with. In many ways, it represents everything Holding Absence has always been, while introducing new elements to our sound and opening the door to what comes next. 

Lyrically and conceptually, the song draws heavily from cyberpunk media. Contemplation, sentience and dreaming in an ever-evolving world. The music video also introduces our robot mascot “Y4-BB0”, a character you’ll be seeing more of in the coming years." 

By signing off ‘The Noble Art of Self-Destruction’ with a stark “3/3”, Holding Absence made a promise - to set fire to everything they, and their fans, thought they knew about the band. Olive Vox Confront Time And Fragility on New Single “14 Years”

Texas-based alternative rock four-piece, Olive Vox return with “14 Years,” a stark and emotionally loaded new single that lands as their fourth release since signing to Big Machine Rock. Arriving in the wake of previous singles -  “BABYDOLL”, “T.A.N.G.O”, and “Dying Breath”, the track follows a breakout year that has seen the band sharpen their identity in real time, both on record and on the road, most recently supporting Badflower across the US. There’s a physicality to “14 Years”. Pins and needles, loss of control, the body turning unfamiliar. ICE NINE KILLS PRESENTS “Hell or High Slaughter (Grave Diggler: Pt. 2)”

Their sons may have eclipsed them in the 21st Century, but for a sleazy moment, Grave Diggler left its stain on hard partying rock n’ roll with decadence, desecrations, and panty raids. The group once stood shoulder to shoulder with their eyeliner-and-excess peers in Poison, Mötley Crüe, and W.A.S.P., before bad business and even worse drugs dampened the fire in their loins. By the early ’90s, like many glam bands, Grave Diggler faded from the spotlight.

But history has a strange way of digglering up the past.

When the directing duo behind Scream (2022) and Scream VI, began work on the sequel to their 2019 black comedy horror hit Ready or Not, they desperately wanted to include one of Grave Diggler’s forgotten classic anthems. But even after Radio Silence Productions deduced the connection with Spencer Charnas, securing the rights was no mean feat. 

The ensuing legal battle between fathers and sons resulted in Ice Nine Kills re-recording “Hell or High Slaughter (Grave Diggler: Pt. 2)” for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come and the long-banned 1987 music video for the song seeing the light of day. 

“I’ve been estranged from my father for a long time,” Spencer explains. “But this movie, and this song, while bringing a lot of complicated feelings to the surface, also brought us back together.”

Midwinter Release New EP 'CHAPTER THREE: Still Hurts" And Drop Official Music Video For "Lying Figures" via Papercut Recordings

Atmospheric metalcore quintet Midwinter has today released their latest EP, 'CHAPTER THREE: Still Hurts' via Papercut Recordings. In celebration of the release, the band dropped the official music video for their new single, "Lying Figures". Speaking about the track, the band commented:

"This song lives in that desperate space of limbo, when you’re caught between the love you lost and the reality of having to move forward. It’s about the mental struggle of still wanting something you once had, even when you know deep down it wasn’t healthy for you. Musically, we really focused on creating something that feels truly moving. Written in the final hours of the album sessions, "Blasphemous Act" arrived too loud and too late to leave behind. Built on raw, unfiltered vocals and dynamics that coil and crack under barely controlled pressure, the track maps the exact moment devotion tips feral, channelling obsession and retribution into something cathartic, unhinged, and ending in a repeated "run for your life" refrain that hits like a full stop.

The title came from a Magic: The Gathering card. The song went somewhere darker. Piper explains:

"'Blasphemous Act' was the last song we wrote for the record, and it hit with such ferocity that it forced its way onto the album in the eleventh hour. The name came from a Magic: The Gathering card, but the song took on a life of its own — this unhinged, teeth-bared spiral of obsession and retribution. Lines like 'your neck in my teeth is all that I need' and 'karma is owed, paid in full' captured a darker, more primal side of the band that we didn't even know we were still capable of tapping into. By the time it explodes into that repeated 'run for your life' refrain, it felt clear: the record wouldn't be complete without this song."

Four musicians converging around new material, recorded with producer Ross Robinson over five months to create an album that surpassed all their expectations.

"Ross Robinson came to my surprise birthday party last May 2025. I mentioned Evil Island and he instantly said 'Fuck yes, let's make a record.' Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, rising alt-rock artist Wes Parker has delighted fans with his new single, "Bad Doggie" and the accompanying visualizer, the first release since his 2025 EP 'fantom' (via Big Machine Rock). Built around an easy-rolling groove and catchy, distorted guitar hooks, "Bad Doggie" showcases Parker's innate knack for blending indie rock attitude with a clever yet mischievous streak of humor. About Wes Parker

For Wes Parker, sounds interlock like puzzle pieces. A ruddy guitar riff might click next to a broken piano melody, or a hauntingly angelic vocal could mesh just right with an off-kilter chord progression and D.I.Y. beat. All of these elements fit together in order to paint the personal portrait depicted in his music. It’s almost like he’s a mad scientist in his home studio, architecting poetically primal alternative rock that could’ve appeared in the MTV Buzz Bin back in the day or would make for a fiery sunset set at Coachella. The Richmond native grew up as the youngest of four kids with two older brothers and a sister. Mom bought a copy of Green Day’s American Idiot from PACSUN for him, and it proved life-changing. He honed his skills as a songwriter and producer and also devoured classics from the likes of Muse, Radiohead, and more. He dropped out of college after one semester and co-founded the band Camp Howard alongside a cohort of childhood friends. The band saw some success on DSPs and the road, touring with everyone from Stone Temple Pilots to Backseat Lovers. Though the group eventually parted ways, Wes continued to write and record on his own. After quitting a day job, he dropped his first solo single “Why Won't You Pick Up The Phone?” in February 2024 followed by “Annie Moore” and “Tattoo.” Gaining momentum, he ignited 2025 with the Splinter EP applauded by VPM and more. Toronto musician and producer Kevin Rolly today introduces the next chapter of his unbridled deathcore powerhouse Without A Face with the release of “Needful Things,” a new double single out now alongside the official announcement of the project’s signing to Papercut Recordings. The double single release features tracks "Needful Things" and "Resurfacing" (featuing Jacob Mathes of Orphan). Written and performed by Rolly, Without A Face channels unbridled aggression, pressure, frustration and catharsis into something visceral. The goal is simple, the music should provoke a reaction. Whether that response is discomfort, rage or recognition, indifference has no place in the equation.

The project first began gaining attention with the release of the EP Rat Poison, a short, apoplectic and explosive introduction that quickly found an audience within the modern deathcore community. When asked about the inspiration behind the song, Diamante shared:

Black Coast Release New Track + Official Music Video "Drown Out" via Papercut Recordings

Stoke-on-Trent, UK's Black Coast have today released their poignant new single "Drown Out" and the official music video (via Papercut Recordings). The stripped-down, acoustic-driven ballad uncovers a new facet of the grunge-nu-metalcore quintet, blending raw vocals with crystal-clear production. When asked about the inspiration behind the track, guitarist Scott Pinnington shared:

"I wrote this song musically and I explained to our singer Charlie about how I was feeling at the time. I’ve suffered with an eating disorder all my life, and last year I hit rock bottom with it. I didn't want to be here anymore, and felt like I was losing my life being succumbed by the anxiety and depression of living with it. Drowning out the white noise and being in a different state of mind was what I constantly tried to do…to take myself out of my mind. I hope that this song resonates with those who may find themselves either in similar shoes, or understand that state of mind or being, and understand they're not alone."

Black Coast are a Grunge / Nu-Metalcore band from Stoke-on-Trent, England. Formed in January 2016 by guitarists Scott Pinningtonand Joe Mayer, the lineup was completed by Jack Beardsall (bass), Matty Clark (drums), and Charlie Hewitt (vocals).

After nine years of growth and touring the globe together, Joe Mayer played his final show with the band on 20th December 2025 at a sold-out hometown headline show at The Underground. South Florida deathcore mainstays Bodysnatcher have today released their latest rager, "Violent Obsession"(via MNRK Heavy). The furious track is taken from the band's upcoming new album 'Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home' for release on Friday, April 10.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, guitarist Kyle Carter commented:

If you’ve heard Vile Conduct, or any of the three albums that preceded it—2017’s Death of Me, 2020’s The Heavy Void or 2022’s Bleed-Abide—you’ll know this is a band who have always pitted themselves against personal tragedy, who have fought on individual levels against the dark depths of a despair (often inspired by their own experiences of death). Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home is no less harrowing. 

“The band has always had roots lyrically in themes of betrayal, overcoming hardship, and moving on from things that happen in life and how to cope with them,” explains Medina. “Ever since the inception of Bodysnatcher, that was the theme. I do think, though, as the band has matured and we as people have grown, so have the ways to dig into the themes more. With more life experience, there are more things to draw from.” 

Yet while this is still a viciously personal record, Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home is also a dark reflection of the world at large, and its current dystopia. It doesn’t just dwell on what’s happening, though. It lashes out at the way things are with a terrible, violent rage. 

“I’d say a lot of today’s world plays into this album,” says Whited. “We really feel that listeners across the globe can find something to connect with in these songs. There’s a strong sense of retaliation this time around; it feels like choosing violence, fighting back against a world that feels morally lost right now.“ 

That manifests itself from the very beginning of this record, from the opener “The Maker.” A sheer assault of rage, noise, and skull-crushing riffs, it multiplies Bodysnatcher’s intensity to a degree that, even by their already intense standards, is off the charts. “'The Maker' is a raw, visceral song,” says Shope. “Bodysnatcher has always been known for unrelenting heaviness, but ‘The Maker’ seems to be an even darker, more intense direction. Revenge and retaliation are themes we often use in our lyrics, however ‘The Maker’ is a more direct approach. This song is as heavy as we could make it, and I know the energy is going to be electric when it is played live. 

That direct darkness continues throughout the entirety of the next nine songs, from the unforgiving vengeance of “Writhe And Coil” and “Violent Obsession” through to the blistering defiance of “Blade Between The Teeth” and “Survive Or Die.” The latter features vocals from Scott Vogel, the frontman of hardcore legends Terror, a band very close to Bodysnatcher’s blackened heart. It follows the previous impressive cameo on Vile Conduct by Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta. 

“Scott Vogel is such a pivotal and legendary voice in hardcore and heavy music,” says Medina. “Many of us in the band grew up listening to Terror, so having him appear on a song is huge for us in terms of morale and making the album feel even stronger. We had the idea when we were thinking of another voice come from the hardcore side of where the band draws from; we had Jasta on the previous EP, so we thought of another that is of equal stature, and were able to make it happen.” 

Vogel’s appearance shows just how much of a mark Bodysnatcher have made on the scene. But it’s not distracting them from their intent and purpose. In fact, that only seems to have been refined as time has passed. One of the most obvious examples of that here is “May Your Memory Rot”, an intensely personal song full of spite, venom and trauma about somebody who was very close to Whited. “That song was written the first night we got to the studio,” says the drummer. “It was Father’s Day, which has a lot of baggage for me. I was thinking about my nephew, who lost both parents when my sister overdosed and their gang member father was murdered, and is now being raised by my mom, and my nieces, who lost their dad when my brother passed. That spiral eventually led me to someone who is, without question, one of the worst people I’ve ever known. I was lying in bed angry, so I started writing. That song is pure rage—a very direct fuck you to Mike Whited.” Yet—like the rest of this record—it’s rage with a purpose, rage full of intention, rage with hope still attached to it. Because even though it was born out of incredibly difficult circumstances, both personal and universal, Bodysnatcher’s hope is that people listening to it can find some kind of solace in it alongside all the anger and the rage. 

“I won’t lie,” says Carter. “This was a hard album to put together. Every writing session was met with dead ends for months, but we were able to come out the other side with 15 demos and ended with 10 of the best songs we’ve ever made. The album is based around revenge and not bending over for people. I hope others can hear these songs and come to the same realizations we have while putting this together. Life is too short to let people walk on you or take advantage of you. Humans are monsters who betray, abuse, neglect, murder, and sometimes it feels like we’re too comfortable in the Hell that we’re in.” 

KITTIE Announce Legacy of Fire Tour: 30 Years of Kittie

Released via Blowed Out Records - the incubator-like brainchild of Ross Robinson, Ghostemane, and Bill Armstrong and produced by Ross Robinson (Korn, The Cure, Slipknot, Glassjaw, At The Drive In), the track captures the remarkable spectrum of what XCOMM are capable of. “Hot Pursuit” is fast, confrontational and unrelenting and moves with razor-sharp urgency before folding into the darker, almost ethereal tension of “One And Nothing.” The result is the sound of a young band showcasing their exceptional range without any compromise or softening their edges. Roman Candle release their latest single, "Lady Lazarus", today. A brutally honest confrontation with misogyny, survival, and the violence of shrinking for comfort. "'Lady Lazarus' is me confronting misogyny head-on and refusing to shrink for anyone. The title comes from the Sylvia Plath poem, and like her, I'm pulling something powerful out of something painful. Lines like 'Tender when I wanna be / Callous when I have to be' came from recognizing how women are expected to bend, soften, or apologize just to exist - but also how we learn to harden ourselves for survival.

"When I sing 'Give me your dead stare, I eat men like air,' it's not about hating men - it's about reclaiming the space that was denied to me, the anger I was taught to bury, and the fear I was meant to carry. This song is the sound of unlearning all of that. It's rage, it's release, and it's me deciding I'm no longer shrinking out of anyone's comfort."

ICE NINE KILLS Officially Welcome Ghostface Into The INKverse With TWISTING THE KNIFE (FT. MCKENNA GRACE)

Castmember Mckenna Grace joins the band on the new single, a rare, high-impact crossover between one of modern metal’s most ambitious bands and one of horror cinema’s most enduring properties. Ice Nine Kills mastermind Spencer Charnas shares: 

“Twisting the Knife is our tribute to Wes Craven and the Scream franchise, which means so much to us. Scream is baked into the DNA of who I am and of Ice Nine Kills—my love of horror, comedy, and the collision between the two. I was already obsessed with Halloween and Friday the 13th, but Scream was the first I saw in theaters. Hearing the killer talk about horror movies, in that distinctively pop-culture savvy Kevin Williamson way, blew my mind.

In recent years, we’ve gotten to know and work with Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, Neve Campbell, Rose McGowan, Jamie Kennedy, Lee Waddell, and others in different capacities. We announced the collaboration with Scream 7 at Wembley Arena, with Ghostface and Rose McGowan, which was surreal in itself.

When we learned that Mckenna Grace is a fan of our band, it made perfect sense to invite her to sing. She recorded her part in my home studio, in the same room where I keep my screen-used Scream knife prop, one of the four rubber knives made for the first movie.

Marco Beltrami’s Scream scores are just as influential to me as any other component of the films. In our song, there are echoes of the moody atmospheres he’s created, with our own INK twist.”

“Making this song was such a special experience for me- I am such a big INK fan and it was such an amazing opportunity to be able to play with a different style of music. I am so inspired by Amy Lee's vocals and we all wanted to channel Scream and Sydney’s story as best as we could. Spencer and the guys were so much fun to collaborate with and I’m so thankful to Kevin Williamson.”

The accompanying music video continues Ice Nine Kills’ signature horror-cinema homage, blending performance with a post-video narrative short that continues the ever-expanding INKverse lore. The voice of Ghostface himself, Roger L. Jackson, reprises his iconic role. The story picks up directly from 2025’s “The Laugh Track,”, which saw Matthew Lillard playing himself.
