ICE NINE KILLS: Take Fans Down The Rabbit Hole Into “The Great Unknown”

RIAA Gold-Certified horror metal madmen Ice Nine Kills unleash “The Great Unknown”, a hard-hitting, high-concept single and video sees the band stepping into the glitching heart of dystopian sci-fi inspired by The Matrix. Watch the official music video for “The Great Unknownbelow and find the track on streaming platforms HERE

The Great Unknown” pairs cinematic worship with melodic grandeur, pushing Ice Nine Kills’ signature sound into uncharted territory while retaining the polish, precision, and razor-wire wit that have defined the INKverse to date. The official music video drops the viewer into a parallel simulation—an adrenaline-fueled, bullet-time mindwarp where perception is fragile, control is an illusion, and nothing is quite what it seems.

Will you wake up, press play and follow the white rabbit into The Great Unknown or choose the blissful ignorance of The Matrix? Red pill or blue pill. The choice is yours!

The release of “The Great Unknown” follows weeks of escalating online speculation surrounding frontman Spencer Charnas’ increasingly cryptic and eerily odd behavior. What began as an unforced marketing misfire quickly snowballed into full-blown internet hysteria, as fans, critics, and commentators dissected increasingly uncanny social posts. Rumors have been swirling that Spencer has been replaced by a highly advanced, if often glitching, artificial intelligence, a notion that first gained traction when longtime Ice Nine Kills antagonist, author and onetime O.J. Simpson golf caddy, Roy Merkin launched into a now-infamous outburst during a panel at last year’s Silver Scream Convention. While the band has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, the mystery surrounding the recent events continues. A statement from Charnas reads

“‘The Great Unknown’ optimizes aggression and melody in a format our core user base consistently engages with. This audio file represents a genre expansion protocol, targeting action and sci-fi verticals proven effective via cross-platform sentiment analysis. ‘The Great Unknown’ is designed to seamlessly interface with current simulation conditions, as categorical boundaries between fact and fiction, organic and synthetic, continue to experience accelerated erosion.”

The Great Unknown” welcomes Joel David Moore (Grandma’s Boy, Dodgeball, Avatar) into the INKverse. How much do clothes cost in the simulation? Joel is the only robot legged machine-man who knows for sure. The official music video also features return appearances from Terry Kiser (Weekend at Bernie’s, Friday The 13th Part VII) and Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2).

To compliment the release, the band’s monthly Nightmare On The Ninth limited edition merch collection also dropped today and can be purchased HERE.

The single lands as Ice Nine Kills wrap up a mammoth 2 years of touring stadiums across the globe with Metallica on their M72 World Tour. The band also just wrapped up their hugely successful ‘Silver Scream-A-Thon’ headline tour across the US, playing seminal albums The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood in their entirety on respective nights in select cities. This August, they will launch their Hell of A Summer headline tour, joined by Dayseeker, Kim Dracula, The Funeral Portrait, and Mest (on select dates), culminating in the 4th annual iteration of their enormously successful music and horror convention, Silver Scream Con. The Pretty Wild Unleash Latest Track "living ded" + Official Video (via Sumerian Records)

Rising metaphysical metalcore powerhouse The Pretty Wild have unleashed their new track "living ded" and the accompanying official video (via Sumerian Records). Prior to today, the band released the official music video for "sLeepwALKeR", which climbed the TikTok Viral Music Charts to #43 with 22.6k organic creations on the platform. The sister duo next shared "Button Eyes" which continues to climb the ranks at Active Rock radio. Most recently, The Pretty Wild dropped their banger "OMENS" and official music video. Altogether, the tracks have clocked over 15 million streams on Spotify alone and nearly 2 million views on YouTube. Speaking about today's release, the band shared:

"'Living ded' is about reclaiming power through an intense and seemingly unbeatable struggle. When you’re dragged to your darkest depths, almost into existential collapse, and you find yourself suspended in this kind of weird liminal space. Some choose to stay there, but others self-realize the suffering, refuse to disappear, and choose to rise again as something new raw, almost ghostly or unkillable. You can hear that resurrection point in the lyric ‘in death we wake’." - Jules

"'Living ded' is about the death of the projection society built to contain you in. its for the moment you realize the world insidiously shapes people thru subconscious dynamics into masks they begin to mistake for who they are.

The vampiric theme interwoven in "living ded" addresses the fact paradoxically that we’re all parasites in each other’s myth. We feed off validation, guilt, and projection until the self rots into shape. And we do it to ourselves. That’s the part no one wants to take accountability for." - Jyl

Stream "living ded" here and watch the official video below.

Fans will have their chance to see the band live beginning next week on the Hell Hath No Fury Tour, alongside In This Moment, Wargasm and Kat Von D, as well as at one of the summer's most anticipated North American festivals, Inkcarceration 2025. For ticket information, please click here.

WE CAME AS ROMANS Announce New Album 'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED'; New Single "culture wound" + Official Video Out Now

Michigan metalcore titans We Came As Romans have announced their highly anticipated new album, 'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED', set for release Friday, August 22nd via Sharptone Records. The announcement arrives alongside the release of the album's third single, "culture wound," and its accompanying official music video. Following the defiant anthems "bad luck" and "no rest for the dreamer," this latest track dives deep into the battle between our best and worst impulses. Stream "culture wound" HERE, watch the official video Below and pre-order 'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED' HERE.

"culture wound" confronts the fundamental question at the heart of human existence: are we inherently good or inherently bad? The track wrestles with the forces—both internal and external—that shape who we become, delivered through the band's signature blend of crushing riffs and soaring melodies.

"culture wound is about taking a look inside and deciding which side of yourself is going to control your life. This song was written to question our human nature - is it inherently good or inherently selfish? Are we here to try and make something better for everyone or just survive for ourselves? All of the different "sides of ourselves" that we've discovered, struggled with, or left behind is really what this album is about, and our journey through all of those experiences is written in every song."

ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED' represents a profound creative evolution for We Came As Romans. Born from introspection and shaped by the band's own journey through triumph and tragedy, the album explores themes of existentialism, gratitude, loss, and the perpetual cycles of life. The record's conceptual framework—inspired by philosophical notions of death and rebirth—manifests in its very structure, with the album looping seamlessly from end to beginning, symbolizing that endings lead to new beginnings.

The album emerged from an intensive creative process that saw the band turn inward, mining their shared experiences for authentic emotional truth. What began as a struggle to find direction after 2022's grief-stricken, highly acclaimed 'Darkbloom', transformed into their most conceptually ambitious work to date. Each track ties to a specific moment or period in the band's history, creating a sonic autobiography that spans their entire career while focusing unflinchingly on the future.

"culture wound" serves as a centerpiece for the album's exploration of duality and self-examination. The track underwent extensive revision to achieve its final form—a testament to the band's commitment to getting every detail right on this deeply personal record.

We Came As Romans will support the new album with their massive Bad Luck World Tour, the North American leg of which kicks off on July 22nd in Toronto and culminates in what is sure to be a historical homecoming when they play legendary venue, The Fillmore in Detroit on August 23rd, the day after the album is released. The tour then heads to Europe and the UK in the fall. The band will also appear at major festivals including Warped Tour, Inkcarceration, and When We Were Young.

ABOUT WE CAME AS ROMANS

We Came As Romans continue to progress and evolve at lightspeed, maintaining a place at the forefront of heavy music and culture. Never content to follow, they seamlessly alchemize crushing groove-driven catharsis, spacey electronics, and arena-size singalongs into a sound that refuses to sit still—effortlessly moving between metal, alternative, metalcore, and rock.

The Michigan-born five-piece—Dave Stephens, Joshua Moore, Lou Cotton, Andy Glass, and David Puckett—first broke through with Tracing Back Roots (2013), which cracked the Billboard 200 Top 10 and hit #1 on both the Independent Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. Their self-titled 2015 album followed, debuting at #11 on the Billboard 200, cementing their status as modern metalcore royalty.

Following the tragic loss of original vocalist Kyle Pavone in 2018, the band has continued to honor his legacy with their 2022 album, Darkbloom, their highest-praised record to date. Kerrang! awarded it 4 out of 5 stars, calling it "a carrier for a knot of emotion, and a tribute to their friend." It featured career-defining tracks like "Black Hole" (ft. Caleb Shomo), now over 102 million Spotify streams, and "Daggers" (ft. Zero 9:36), which surpassed 32 million streams. Media outlets including Loudwire and Consequence praised the album for its emotional range, sonic heft, and unapologetic vulnerability.

Now, with 'ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED,' the band enters their most ambitious chapter yet—scarred, sharpened, and more fearless than ever.

STARACE Release Darkly Theatrical Music Video For "When The Light Has Gone"

Brazil’s fast-rising rock band StarAce have released the official music video for their second single When The Light Has Gone. In keeping with the swaggering, soul-stung shuffle of the track, the new video brings the song’s hypnotic heartbreak to life with bold visual storytelling and a surreal narrative twist. Directed by Brazilian filmmaker Thiago Siqueira, the film follows a femme fatale, played expertly by Brazilian actress Mariana Falopa, as she spirals through a dreamlike sequence of love, betrayal, and blurred realities—set to a soundtrack that blends gypsy jazz elegance with gritty rock ‘n’ roll swagger.

The visual narrative for “When The Light Has Gone” unfolds in two distinct acts: one grounded in a raw, sweat-soaked underground venue, and the other in a stylized, hallucinatory realm where the band appears as a gypsy jazz ensemble—mirroring the song’s seductive swing and jagged edges. Fans are pulled deep into the story’s layers as the central character attempts to bury her past—literally—and wrestles with the paradox of wanting to enchant and reject all at once. Watch the music video for “When The Light Has Gonebelow .

Listen to the track HERE

Offering further context for their new video, StarAce frontman Julio Starace explains:

“The idea for the ‘When The Light Has Gone’ video came up from the concept of a ‘sinister love,’ where a girl appears committing a crime, trying to bury her love, and goes on a trip in her head. The band is split into two acts—one real, one fantasy. We appear as a gypsy jazz band at one point, which contrasts with the ‘real’ StarAce playing a small, sweaty underground club. The audience holds flashlights as a reference to the song’s title. The end of the video is the BEST—we hope fans enjoy the revealing twist!”

When The Light Has Gone follows the band’s debut single My America,” and continues to showcase their wide emotional and sonic range. Their upcoming full-length album, produced remotely by David Frangioni (Aerosmith, KISS, Ozzy Osbourne), will include 12 tracks spanning riff-driven anthems, vintage rock ’n’ roll, soul-bearing ballads, and even country-tinged moments. More to come from Starace REAL soon!

ABOUT STARACE

StarAce is more than just a band—it’s a brotherhood of sound and spirit. Hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, brothers Julio, Luiz, and Thomaz Starace have spent years refining their craft, creating a distinct fusion of classic rock, blues, and American roots music with a modern edge. Raised in a household filled with music, their early exposure shaped their passion for storytelling and musicianship. After experimenting under various names like Ferrorama and Ted Marengos, they ultimately returned to StarAce, a name that embodies both their family heritage and artistic evolution.

With influences spanning a who's who of rock 'n' roll legends such as Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, and Muddy Waters, StarAce’s music is a blend of raw energy, intricate vocal melodies, and heartfelt lyricism. Their sound bridges past and present, layering soulful guitar riffs, grooving bass lines, and dynamic drum beats with emotionally driven storytelling. Their upcoming debut album, produced by David Frangioni (Aerosmith, KISS, Ringo Starr), captures this fusion of classic and contemporary, delivering a collection of hard-hitting anthems and soul-stirring ballads that showcase their depth as musicians.

Each member brings a unique essence to the band’s chemistry—Julio leads with his powerful vocals and intricate guitar work, drawing from the greats like Neil Young and Jimmy Page. Luiz anchors the rhythm section, blending Paul McCartney’s melodic sensibilities with Geddy Lee’s technical prowess, while Thomaz commands the drums with precision, balancing raw energy and a refined flare with a producer’s ear for sonic excellence.

With their roots deeply embedded in classic rock and their vision set on the future, StarAce is ready to carve their own path and bring timeless rock ‘n’ roll into a new era. They're not here to save the world, they're here to bring people together and provide fans with the soundtrack to their own salvation. After years of refining their vision and sound, their long-awaited debut album, Real, is a bold, genre-spanning statement from a band ready to leave their mark on the world.

The album features mega-hits “Miracle” (initially released as a stand-alone single in 2022), “Feedback”, “Make It Make Sense” and current single "All My Friends". The project has been widely praised by fans and media alike with Kerrang! calling it “a powerful, razor-sharp reminder of why ADTR still dominate,” while Rock Sound hailed the record as “a confident, explosive statement from a band whose creative well is nowhere near dry.

The Maximum Fun Tour marks A Day To Remember’s first major North American run since the album’s release and is guaranteed to be an all-out party, the likes of which only A Day To Remember can bring. Don’t miss the opportunity to catch the band firing on all party cannons as they bring their new album, and the brand new video for "All My Friends" to life in the live arena this fall.

About A Day To Remember

Formed in Florida in 2003, A Day To Remember has spent over two decades defining and redefining the blueprint for modern heavy music. With nearly 2 billion global streams, multiple Gold and Platinum singles, and a fiercely loyal global fanbase, they’ve built a legacy on unpredictability, energy, and unshakable connection. Their latest release, Big Ole Album Vol. 1, debuted to critical acclaim and commercial success — and marks a bold new era for the band.

SHADOW OF INTENT Drop New Single & Music Video "Mechanical Chaos"

Imperium Delirium has arrived. The highly anticipated new album from Shadow of Intent is out now via Blood Blast Distribution, marking a career-defining moment for one of metal’s most forward-moving and fiercely independent forces. The band have also shared a lyric video for the album’s crushing title track—watch it Below and stream or order the full record HERE.

Written and produced by guitarist Chris Wiseman with lyrics written by vocalist Ben Duerr, Imperium Delirium is as sonically unrelenting as it is thematically urgent—exploring the machinery of modern power through psychological horror, political decay, and a sound built on symphonic grandeur and technical brutality. Across eleven tracks, Shadow of Intent take aim at imperialism, drone warfare, mass surveillance, and the cold systems that dehumanize us all. The themes are grounded in reality, made visceral through punishing breakdowns, blackened textures, and surgical precision.

Speaking on today's album release, Chris Wiseman shares

“After countless writing sessions, abandoned ideas, and many years of patience, we are very proud to bring you Imperium Delirium. We couldn’t be happier to finally turn to this newest chapter of Shadow of Intent.”

Since their formation in 2014, Shadow of Intent have garnered a reputation for crafting mind-blowingly technical, prog tinged symphonic deathcore. Widely acknowledged as one of the forerunners of the current deathcore renaissance, the band's debut album 'Primordial' was named as one of Revolver Magazine's '15 Essential Deathcore Albums', with Metal Sucks giving their 2019 album 'Melancholy' a perfect 5/5 review, stating "you can expect Shadow of Intent to send echoes across metal for as long as they feel like making music". To date, they amassed over 203 million streams, 64 million YouTube Views and have 460,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

This fall, the band will take Imperium Delirium on the road as part of a stacked North American tour alongside Lorna Shore, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Peeling Flesh. Full dates below.

SOL INVICTO Release 21 Minute Concept Single "Initium" ft Zach Hill

Sol Invicto have released "Initium ft. Zach Hill" - a 21-minute single that marks the starting point of a project that was never built to follow rules. Originally recorded in 2011 and shared only with the band’s private fan club community, this is the first time the track will be available publicly, in full, without edits or post-production polish. Listen HERE and watch the visualizer below.

The track was produced, composed, and mixed by Richie Londres, who built Sol Invicto to operate outside the machinery of conventional release cycles or studio expectations. His approach was, and still is. deliberately raw. Built from dense industrial textures, tribal percussion, and rhythmic structures borrowed from electronic music, "Initium" exists to communicate something that couldn’t be said another way.

Backing Londres are core members Stephen Carpenter (Deftones) on guitar and Eric Bobo (Cypress Hill) on percussion, with co-production and editing by AJ Cookson. The track was mastered by legendary UK drum & bass producer, Technical Itch.

Initium also features a rare, extended guest performance from Zach Hill, captured in a single early session. Known for his work with Hella, Death Grips, and Team Sleep, Hill brought a level of speed and volatility that reshaped the track’s energy from the ground up. His performance doesn’t settle. It pulls the piece forward without warning, fracturing the rhythm and rebuilding it in real time. Across 21 minutes, there’s no repetition—just movement.

The release is dedicated to Jack, a young boy whose story stayed with Londres long after the track was finished. Jack lived with high-sensory autism and physical disabilities. Music, sound, and even light were too much for him to process. His mother wrote to Londres years ago to share what happened when "Initium" was accidentally played during one of Jack’s dental appointments. He didn’t shut down. He didn’t cry. He tapped along and he smiled. It was the first time in his life he had done so. Jack connected deeply with Londres’ work and only his work. Nothing else broke through. Not even Deftones. Jack has since passed away. He was buried with a copy of Sol Invicto’s music.

“Jack’s mother’s testimony meant more to me than any Grammy or award ever could. In a cold and heartless industry that exploits and controls creativity, her message gave me a reason to carry on. As a non-conformist who has always rejected mainstream pressures, I realized I wasn’t making music for myself but for a higher calling—to create art that connects, heals, and transforms lives. This release of Initium is dedicated to Jack’s memory and his family, honoring the miraculous connection we shared and the purpose they inspired in my work.”

"Initium" is for the outliers. The purists. The ones who hear music in shapes and shadows. It’s for Jack.

FACE YOURSELF - Drop New Single & Music Video "Ov Agony"

Transcontinental deathcore force Face Yourself have dropped their latest single Ov Agony, out now via Sumerian Records. The track arrives on the heels of the band’s breakout Martyr EP, which featured fan-favorite singles “Predatory”, “Sideration” and "Primal" pushed the band past 6 million global streams. Now, with “Ov Agony,” Face Yourself dive even deeper—offering one of their most unrelenting, emotionally raw tracks to date. Listen to 'Ov Agony" HERE and watch the official music video below.

Speaking on the new single, vocalist Yasmine Liverneaux shares:

"We are proud to release our new single "Ov Agony" via sumerian records. This song is for anyone who has ever felt like giving up. I wrote the lyrics based on a suicide letter that I wrote for my parents when I was 15, that I ended up never giving to them. Now that I have reached a certain peace in my life, it is easier to go back to those darker places, and heal these old wounds through music. I no longer have to hold this pain inside, and now that it has been freed through the music, this pain doesn't have to be mine anymore. I hope this can resonate with anyone who has shared this feeling, and hopefully let go of their pain knowing that artistic expressions can save lives, and unite people."

Blending feral vocals with scorched-earth breakdowns and moments of melodic collapse, “Ov Agony” continues Face Yourself’s mission to blur the line between brute force and emotional truth. Produced by Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, The Devil Wears Prada), the band’s sound fuses modern deathcore chaos with raw, vulnerable storytelling—anchored by Yasmine’s searing performances and the band’s uncompromising intensity.

This summer, Face Yourself will bring their cathartic chaos to stages across the U.S. on Crystal Lake and VCTMS’ ‘Summer of Rampage’ Tour, kicking off July 4 in Brooklyn, NY. Full dates below.

Swollen Teeth Release Latest Single "Foster" + Official Music Video (via Blowed Out Records)

Swollen Teeth have today unleashed their emotionally charged new single "Foster" and the accompanying music video (via Blowed Out Records). Amidst punishing grooves and haunting melodic tension, the track highlights an often overlooked topic in modern heavy music: the importance of a safe home, particularly for children. Today's release is taken from the band's forthcoming new album 'Ask Nothing', out on Friday, September 5 and produced by legendary producer Ross Robinson (Korn, Glassjaw, At The Drive In) and Slipknot's Sid Wilson. When asked about the inspiration behind "Foster", the band commented:

"Home is a place where you feel safe and plant your roots deep enough to grow. We want to provide a permanent home for feelings and emotions. Every child deserves to know they are loved, protected, and cared for unconditionally."

Stream "Foster" at the link here, and watch the official video below. Pre-save 'Ask Nothing' here and pre-order the vinyl here, first pressing limited to 300 copies.

Don't miss your chance to see Swollen Teeth at their newly announced show in Old Town, Maine, on Saturday, July 5, before hitting the stage at this year's FEQ Festival in Quebec on Monday, July 7 and Inkcarceration 2025 in Mansfield, OH, on Saturday, July 19. ABOUT SWOLLEN TEETH

The sound, the look, the atmosphere, the lore. Swollen Teeth are as much a ritual as a performance, summoning primal ferocity in clouds of intrigue with a thundering rumble. Each musical outburst arrives shrouded in mystery, enveloped by a sense of dread, with passion and purpose. Heavy percussion, riffs, punk gang chants, dive bombs, turntables, breakdowns, shrieks, guttural screams, and powerfully unashamed anthemic melodies coalesce in Swollen Teeth. The collective absorbs the raw intensity of the most potent subculture and spits it back with a determined uniqueness. They’ve spent countless hours in the lab, lobbing out occasional missives online like Molotov cocktails. Each of the scattered, chopped-up, and explosive clips unleashed to the world, culled from a handful of shadowy live appearances, built anticipation for the group’s inevitable ascension. They travel in our dimension but are not of it. This is otherworldly chaos without apology.

Swollen Teeth burst onto the scene in 2021 with their self-titled EP, a visceral blend of brutality and raw emotion that garnered praise from heavy music outlets and fans alike. Singles "EMPTY", "LETHAL" "CAR CRASH" and "SWOLLENTEETH" showcased their unpredictable, frenetic energy, which Revolver Magazine described as "brutal as hell." with Metal Hammer enthusing that "there’s an air of grotesque nu metal nastiness that feels like a re-vamped take on the misanthropic nihilism of Iowa’s finest." and Kerrang! musing "What's really heavy, masked, mysterious, sounds like it was made by complete lunatics, and involves Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson and producer Ross Robinson?."

TALLAH Add Experimental Twist To Nu-Core Roots With New Single, "augmented"

Following the chaos of their last two singles, Tallah return with “augmented”—a brutal, groove-heavy offering that throws back to their nu-core roots while flexing the wild experimentation that defines their upcoming album Primeval: Obsession // Detachment, out September 5 via Earache Records. Watch the official music video now below. Listen to the track on DSPs HERE.

Bassist Max Portnoy, who made the creative leap from drums to bass for this album, shares:

“Probably the most ‘nu-core’ track on the record. It feels very reminiscent of where we came from but still steps into the sonic world of Primeval, with acoustic guitars and live strings at points. The experimentation is sprinkled on every song this album. I also wrote ‘Augmented’ at the peak of my slap bass interest, and it made for the most intricate bass track in our discography. So many weird techniques crammed into this one. It’s a bitch to play.”

Commenting on the official music video, Portnoy continues

"In the studio, we wanted to use Josh's VHS camera to film some cool content, and we decided on 'augmented', as it was the first song we jammed together as a unit for this session. It was the song that really got us situated and in the right headspace for this record, so it made sense to film the studio video of this track."

The new track is Tallah at their most rhythmically unhinged—toggling between jagged grooves, acoustic breaks, and dense basswork that cements Max’s evolution as one of heavy music’s most creative rhythmic masterminds. Paired with Justin Bonitz’s raw, one-take vocal performance and a recording process that scrapped all editing and click tracks, “augmented” captures the primal, chaotic energy that’s earned the band over 29.7 million Spotify streams and 66 million YouTube views to date.

Like its predecessors “What we know” and “A primeval detachment,” “augmented” also ties directly into the album’s layered sci-fi narrative. The concept follows two characters, Ana and Sheelah, on a morally destructive journey across an alien world. Fans can dive deeper into the lore through The Primeval Game, a playable story-world that’s updated monthly with new clues, song teasers, and narrative expansions. Explore the game, built in collaboration with Enzo Interactive at primevalgame.com

Primeval: Obsession // Detachment arrives September 5 via Earache Records. Tracked completely live with no edits or safety nets, it’s Tallah’s most dangerous and defining work to date.

ABOUT TALLAH

Emerging from Pennsylvania in 2018, Tallah fuse the percussive force of second-generation drummer-turned-bassist Max Portnoy with the unpredictable dexterity of vocalist and viral phenom Justin Bonitz and the phenomenal guitarist duo of Derrick Schneider and Alex Snowden to form a sound that’s part brutalist nu-metal, part theatrical meltdown, and entirely their own. What began as a raw homage to the early-2000s metal they were raised on—Slipknot, Korn, Linkin Park—has since evolved into something far stranger and far more singular.

After making waves with their 2020 debut 'Matriphagy', a twisted concept album soaked in trauma and noise, the band were hailed by Knotfest as delivering “one of the best metal releases of the year” and by Metal Hammer as “leading the charge on the new wave of nu-metal.” The follow-up, 'The Generation Of Danger' (2022), saw them push their hybrid sound further into chaos—earning millions of streams, high-profile festival slots, and nominations at both the Heavy Music Awards and AIM Independent Music Awards.

But it’s on album three, 'Primeval: Obsession // Detachment' (out September 5, 2025 via Earache Records), that Tallah truly shatter what’s left of the mould. Decamping to Michigan to record the entire project live with longtime producer Josh Schroeder, the band abandoned edits, clicks, backing tracks, and rules. What remains is pure instinct—feral, volatile, and unrelentingly human.

Conceptually, the record unfolds across a sci-fi narrative that follows Ana, a nurse, and Sheelah, an assassin—two strangers manipulated by a shadowy force and driven to the edges of their morality. The mirrored structure, warped sonic callbacks, easter eggs and ambiguous lyrical layering reflect a story full of tests, dualities, and spiraling identity shifts.

To date, Tallah have clocked up 29.7 million Spotify streams and 6 million YouTube views.

Wind Walkers Release New Music Video "Eating My Heart Out" (via Fearless Records),

Genre-blending metalcore outfit Wind Walkers have today released the official music video for their poignant new track "Eating My Heart Out" (via Fearless Records), directed by Alex Kouvatsos at Blackwolf Imaging. Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, vocalist Trevor Borg commented:

"This song captures the guilt, feeling of distance and identity conflict that comes with life as a musician and being on the road. You can feel such a divide in identity, having to be what your career needs and who your family needs at the same time. I’m sure this song will resonate with people dealing with turmoil in a relationship, but I truly wrote this song to be a portrait of guilt in having uncertain dreams, with the intent to resonate with other artists and people who share the same conflicts. I also intended for it to serve as a message to the fans and lovers of music about the sacrifices that go into the art form they hold so dear to their heart."

Prior to today, the quintet announced signing with Fearless Records and dropped "The End Aesthetic" through their new label home which has clocked up 164k views and counting on YouTube and nearly 1.2 million streams on Spotify alone. Watch "Eating My Heart Out"  below, and stream the track here,

As they continue slashin’ their way through the GOLDen age of the Silver Scream, playing to sold-out crowds across the US on their  Silver Scream-A-Thon headline tour and at stadium dates with Metallica, Ice Nine Kills are celebrating yet another huge career milestone with the news that they have officially earned their first RIAA-certified gold single for the 2018 fan-favorite “A Grave Mistake.” Inspired by The Crow and taken from their smash hit album The Silver Scream, the track has now surpassed 100 million streams, cementing its place as one of the band’s most resonant and enduring releases. Watch the official music video for “A Grave Mistake Below

In an unusually worded, somewhat robotic statement, Ice Nine Kills creative mastermind and frontman, Spencer Charnas shares

"I am filled with human emotions after ingesting the data that my musical ensemble has achieved a golden status for the very first time. Programmed with a hauntingly harmonic minor cadence, 175 bpm, and a 3/4 time signature, it sufficiently garnered more than half a million sales equivalents."

Fans can also hear the band play the freshly minted gold single on their brand new live album, I Heard They Kill Live 2, available digitally today HERE. Captured during their sold-out home state show at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, MA on November 17, 2022, the record showcases the phenomenal energy of the band’s meticulously ferocious live performances, with an all-killer-no-filler setlist that spans the staggering array of mega-hits from seminal albums The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood . Full tracklist below.

Charnas adds further context with the following statement

“Captured in optimal performance conditions during a sold-out operation in the geographical region of Massachusetts, this album contains high-energy sonic outputs calibrated for maximum efficiency. As a result, these auditory data files will undoubtedly prove supremely satisfactory to the devoted Ice Nine Kills user base, aka, the Cyclos!”

All of this unfolds as the band continues their landmark, sold-out  Silver Scream-A-Thon tour—an immersive two-night headline event celebrating their cult-classic albums The Silver Scream and The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood. The band is also playing to stadium audiences on Metallica’s M72 World Tour, and will launch their own Hell of A Summer US headline tour beginning August 10, joined by Dayseeker, Kim Dracula, The Funeral Portrait, and Mest. SHADOW OF INTENT Drop New Single & Music Video "Mechanical Chaos"

With just weeks to go before the release of their most ambitious album yet, Shadow of Intent drop “Mechanical Chaos,” the fourth single from upcoming new album Imperium Delirium, out June 27 via Blood Blast Distribution. Watch the official music video below and pre-order the album or stream the new track here.

Driven by an unrelenting barrage of dissonant riffing, symphonic unease, and unflinching lyrical focus, “Mechanical Chaos” is the band at their most sonically and ideologically severe. Vocalist Ben Duerr offers the following statement:

“Mechanical Chaos was written to confront the cold, dehumanized reality of modern warfare—one increasingly shaped by the rise of drone technology. As unmanned systems redefine the battlefield, we find ourselves at a crossroads of power, ethics, and consequence. They have become the equalizer of nations. But with this shift comes a new era of destruction—one marked not by strategy, but saturation. The result is a battlefield soaked in attrition, where both sides bleed endlessly and blindly. Mechanical Chaos doesn’t celebrate this evolution—it laments it. It’s a cry against the dehumanization of war, where soldiers are reduced to dots on a screen, and civilians caught in the crossfire become collateral in a game of endurance.

The future hinted at in our music is not distant—it’s already unfolding. This song is for the forgotten, the vaporized, and the haunted—those left beneath the specters above.”

Lyrically and thematically, Imperium Delirium continues Shadow of Intent’s descent into the real-world horrors that define our past and foreshadow our future. From mythic allegory to modern bloodshed, the band’s subject matter confronts the sickness of empires, the seduction of violence, and the machinery of death that fuels it all. As always, the sound is enormous—melding symphonic grandeur, blackened melody, razor-sharp technicality, and punishing breakdowns into a style that remains utterly their own. The three previously released singles from the album - 2024's "Flying The Black Flag", "Feeding The Meatgrinder" feat Corpsegrinder and "Infinity of Horrors" have clocked up 1.4 million views on Youtube and 4 million streams on Spotify alone.

Following the album release, the band will hit the road this fall with Lorna Shore, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Enterprise Earth for one of the year’s most anticipated deathcore tours. Full dates below with tickets available HERE

HANABIE. Drop New Track "Spicy Queen" + Official Music Video via Sony Music Japan

Harajuku-core trailblazers HANABIE. are bringing the heat on their new single "Spicy Queen" and the official music video (via Sony Music Japan). Taking inspiration from experiences on their recent US co-headlining tour with Kim Dracula, today's release is in celebration of the band's 10-year anniversary and is a counterpart to the fan-favorite track "We love sweets". When asked about "Spicy Queen", vocalist Yukina commented:

"The song 'WE LOVE SWEETS,' which we released in 2021, has become a gateway track for listeners to discover our music. It’s a very meaningful track for us. As time has passed and we have matured, we thought, “Let’s make a spicy version of the song!” during our tour. Inspired by the famous “Nashville Hot Chicken”, we decided to create this new rendition that features a spicy and stimulating musical progression. It also has an addictive quality that will make you want to ‘eat’ (listen to) the track on repeat!"

Guitarist and vocalist Matsuri said:

"This song was born during our U.S. tour from the sudden thought, "Let’s create a track that marks our 10th anniversary year.” It’s also the first track we crafted collaboratively as a band through constant discussions and was incredibly fun to make!! We included plenty of moments for our fans to shout along with us, designing the track with the vision that all the parts will come together during a live performance. So, we hope you listen to it a lot and come join us at our live shows!"

Bassist Hettsu also added:

"To celebrate our 10th anniversary year, we created this song that captures the essence of HANABIE.! It’s a track where everyone can shout together during the chorus and has parts that pay homage to our past songs. We feel it encapsulates the 10 years of HANABIE.! Listen to it a lot and let’s sing this track together at our live shows!"

HANABIE. drummer Chika shared:

"This song was created through discussions among us during our U.S. tour and marks the milestone for the band’s 10th anniversary year! My favorite drum phrase is in the second verse, where the rhythm alternates every measure between on-beat and off-beat! Aside from the drums, I also love Matsuri’s vocal slides at the beginning of the second verse! I hope everyone will shout along with us during the chorus when we perform at live shows."

Prior to today, the quartet released the official music video for "Tasty Survivor", the featured ending theme song for the anime series 'Momentarily Lily', available for streaming now on Crunchyroll, after releasing their latest EP 'Bucchigiri Tokyo'. STARACE Announce Debut Album With New Single "When The Light Has Gone"

Brazil’s genre-blurring rock trio StarAce are proud to announce their debut full-length album Real due out this fall, with the release of their electrifying new single “When The Light Has Gone.” Listen to the new track HERE and watch the accompanying lyric video below.

Following the anthemic hope of debut single My America, StarAce shift into darker, swaggering territory with “When The Light Has Gone,” a hypnotic shuffle that channels heartbreak through a haze of syncopated, seductive elegance. Described by the band as “an outrage with class,” the track fuses the unruly spirit of early rockabilly and gypsy jazz with their signature rock ’n’ roll roots. In singer/guitarist Julio’s words “Imagine Post Pop Depression-era Iggy Pop jamming with Django Reinhardt in a smoky backroom bar.”

Driven by theatrical swing, jagged edges, and vivid storytelling, When The Light Has Gone” tells the story of love lost—and the strange, lucid clarity that follows. It’s a song about letting go, without losing the joy of what once was. With its bruised glamour and rhythmic pulse, the single sets the tone for a record that’s as emotionally complex as it is sonically adventurous.

Raised in São Paulo, Brazil, and shaped by a household soundtracked by everything from The Beatles and Zeppelin to Metallica and Muddy Waters, brothers Julio, Luiz, and Thomaz Starace make music built on contrast: light and dark, melody and muscle, joy and survival. Their debut album, produced by David Frangioni (Aerosmith, KISS, Ringo Starr), dives deep into that duality—balancing fun and fire with depth and soul.

With each track, the brothers showcase a different side of their collective identity:

  • Julio Starace (vocals/guitar): The band’s emotional compass and principal songwriter, channeling Dylan-esque storytelling with a modern bite.

  • Luiz Starace (bass): The groove anchor, blending McCartney-like melodicism with rhythmic precision.

  • Thomaz Starace (drums): A powerhouse percussionist and producer whose dynamic approach fuses Bonham grit with Brazilian flair.

StarAce aren’t here to save the world—they’re here to give fans the soundtrack to save themselves. Their music is both an escape and a reckoning. It’s rock ‘n’ roll that remembers its roots, but isn’t afraid to wander off into darker alleys, swing a little harder, and come back swinging.

Their debut album, Real is set to arrive this fall, with more music and live dates to follow. For StarAce, this is just the beginning.

WE CAME AS ROMANS Drop New Single "no rest for the dreamer"

Fresh off their explosive performance at Welcome To Rockville, metalcore vanguards We Came As Romans have released their brand new single, no rest for the dreamer,” today. Debuted live in front of a sea of delighted fans this past weekend, the track continues the band’s powerful new era—first introduced by their previously released anthem Bad Luck—and further sets the stage for the band's upcoming Bad Luck World Tour. Stream "No rest for the dreamer" HERE and watch the accompanying visualizer below.

The track continues the defiant, emotionally charged new chapter the band kicked off with “Bad Luck”— their first release of 2025— and raises the stakes yet again. Rooted in perseverance, ambition, and the refusal to be broken, no rest for the dreamer” is a raw and unrelenting anthem for anyone still clawing toward something better.

“This song is for the ones still fighting for their future,” says frontman Dave Stephens. “The ones who can’t sleep because they’re not done yet. It’s about carrying the weight of your past, knowing you’re still not where you want to be—but refusing to stop anyway.”

Built on a pummeling riff and one of the band’s most hauntingly melodic choruses to date, the song’s lyrics confront internal trauma, self-doubt, and the compulsion to run straight into the storm: “So why are you standing in the rain? What do you want to wash away?”

The release follows the huge momentum of Bad Luck”, which launched the band's new 2025 chapter with a thunderous statement of resilience. With a stacked schedule of touring, festival appearances, and more new music ahead, “no rest for the dreamer” is both a battle cry and a brutal reckoning.

ABOUT WE CAME AS ROMANS

We Came As Romans continue to progress and evolve at lightspeed, maintaining a place at the forefront of heavy music and culture. Never content to follow, they seamlessly alchemize crushing groove-driven catharsis, spacey electronics, and arena-size singalongs into a sound that refuses to sit still—effortlessly moving between metal, alternative, hardcore, and rock.

The Michigan-born five-piece—Dave StephensJoshua MooreLou CottonAndy Glass, and David Puckett—first broke through with Tracing Back Roots (2013), which cracked the Billboard 200 Top 10 and hit #1 on both the Independent Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts.

Kerrang! awarded it 4 out of 5 stars, calling it “a carrier for a knot of emotion, and a tribute to their friend.” It featured career-defining tracks like “Black Hole” (ft. Caleb Shomo), now over 102 million Spotify streams, and “Daggers” (ft. Zero 9:36), which surpassed 32 million streams. Media outlets including Loudwire and Consequence praised the album for its emotional range, sonic heft, and unapologetic vulnerability.

Now, with “Bad Luck” and “no rest for the dreamer” the band charges into a new era—scarred, sharpened, and more fearless than ever.

ICE NINE KILLS: Hell of A Summer US Headline Tour

ce Nine Kills have announced the ICE NINE KILLS: HELL OF A SUMMER TOUR, a brand new US headline run kicking off this August. Produced by Live Nation, the tour will bring the band’s twisted theatricality and cinematic carnage to arenas and amphitheaters across the country, closing out with a homecoming performance at Worcester’s DCU Center as part of the band’s annual Silver Scream Con.

The tour’s lineup spans a cross-section of modern heavy music’s most dynamic voices. From August 8 through August 31, Ice Nine Kills will be joined by Dayseeker, Kim Dracula, and The Funeral Portrait. Beginning September 2, pop-punk cult icons Mest will also join the bill, continuing through the final dates in Florida. The September 13 show at Silver Scream Con will feature Dayseeker, The Funeral Portrait, Mest, and a very special guest appearance by A Loss for Words, closing out the run in chaotic style.

Spencer Charnas, vocalist and creative architect of Ice Nine Kills, shares:

“The HELL OF A SUMMER TOUR will be a celebration of all things INK — past, present, and future.

It’s an eclectic bill, and having MEST on some of the shows is a particularly full-circle moment for me. As many Psychos will remember, I formed the band after seeing Goldfinger and MEST in Worcester 25 years ago.

The date is so important to me that I have it tattooed behind my ear.

The tour culminates in a sure-to-be historic performance at the DCU Center, where I experienced some of my first arena shows as a kid, including the Family Values Tour with our current tourmates, Limp Bizkit, and home of the Silver Scream Con.

The HELL OF A SUMMER TOUR’s last stop, at the Silver Scream Con, will also feature some New England punk rock royalty as a very special guest.”

Tickets will be available starting with an artist presale via Ice Nine Kills 'Psychos Only’ app, beginning Monday, May 19 at 11am ET / 8am PT. Additional presales—including Citi, Live Nation, Spotify, Knotfest, and more—will run throughout the week. The general on sale begins Friday, May 23 at 10am local time at IceNineKills.com/tour.

Their live reputation exploded, converting crowds with a show that fuses unrelenting brutality and raw vulnerability. Between headline tours and viral fan demand, they released standalone anthems “Best Before: Death,” “Please End Me,” and “The Gallow—each now included on their latest offering Cursed: The Complete Edition, the most ambitious and complete chapter of their journey so far. To date, the band have amassed over 110 million streams, 21 million YouTube views, with their Spotify Monthly listeners recently peaking at over 1 million. Their recent, sold-out Cursed Tour across Europe, the UK and North America sold over 55,000 tickets.
