Ryan Perdz Announces New Album 'Can't Cry' Out August 14 via Big Machine Rock

Buffalo, NY singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ryan Perdz has announced his debut album 'Can't Cry', set for release on August 14 (via Big Machine Rock). In celebration of the news, Perdz has released his poignant new single "Heavy Eyes" taken from the forthcoming full-length, along with the heartbreaking official music video. Speaking about the album announcement, he commented:

“'Can’t Cry' is my take on modern rock. All my inspirations in one. The lyrics on this album I hold close and I feel like it tells a story many people can relate to today, helping those who struggle in silence not feel so alone. This is my first full album and this release is really important to me. It was an amazing experience writing and recording it and I’m so excited to perform these songs live for people.”

Southern California deathcore titans Carnifex have officially signed to Sumerian Records, marking the beginning of a powerful new chapter for one of extreme music’s most enduring forces.  “Putting out Unadulterated feels like finally saying something we’ve been circling for a long time, but never this plainly. There’s no distance on this record as it’s all instinct, all nerve. For a debut, it felt important not to hide behind anything and to let it be messy, loud, vulnerable, and exactly what it is.”

Unadulterated closes on "How To Be Considered When You're Not In The Room." The track is an unravelling of the need to occupy someone's mind even in absence. It opens as worship and ends as something far less forgiving. "Consider me even though I fucking hate you" a scathing declaration of simultaneous devotion and contempt. Wes Parker Announces New Album 'Super Rare' Out June 5 via Big Machine Rock

Richmond, Virginia, rising alt-rock artist Wes Parker has announced his eagerly anticipated debut solo album, 'Super Rare', out Friday, June 5 via Big Machine Rock. 'Super Rare' is Parker's latest body of work since 2025's fan favorites 'fantom' and 'Splinter' EPs. In celebration of the news, Parker has dropped his latest single "Little Birdie" from the forthcoming full-length along with the official music video. Speaking about 'Super Rare', Parker shared:

“‘Super Rare’ feels like the closest I’ve gotten to putting my full personality on record. It reminds me of the notebooks I had growing up that were full of sketches, poems, doodles of my observations of people in the suburban America I grew up in. People describe it sounding like 90s alternative rock, bands like Radiohead, Muse and some modern day sounds, like MJ Linderman, The Shins, Mac DeMarco. It’s a melancholic record, but I wanted to let some of my comedy background into the world of the album through interludes from a fictional radio host named DJ Charlie-Horse.”

When asked about "Little Birdie", he commented:

“I think of “Little Birdie” as a pretty simple four-chord psych-rock/surf-rock tune sonically. It’s about watching something in your life crumble away and feeling both mournful yet liberated. I always loved songs with choruses that just had one or two notes. It kind of whips me into a frenzy. So I thought I’d try that on a song of my own. Something about the chorus kind of reminds me of Blink-182.”

The release lands at a moment when Enter Shikari’s trajectory has never been steeper. Their seventh record, A Kiss For The Whole World, gave them their first UK Official Albums Chart No.1 in 2023, completing a run of seven consecutive top five debuts. The subsequent arena tour included a landmark first headline performance at London’s Wembley Arena, later documented on the live album and film Live From Wembley.

Atmospheric metalcore quintet Midwinter have today released their new album, 'A Love I Hope Will Haunt Me Forever' via Papercut Recordings. The full-length is the band's second since their 2025 debut album, 'Is There Anything You Want To Say?' and latest body of work since the release of their 'CHAPTER THREE: STILL HURTS' EP last month. The band brings together Johnny Whitney, Cody Votolato and Mark Gajadhar of The Blood Brothers alongside Autry Fulbright of OFF! and …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead. “Tiger Baby” marks the first official release from the new project and arrives following a limited run of 300 hand-signed 7-inch vinyl copies selling out in under six hours upon pre-order launch last month. Produced by Ross Robinson, “Tiger Baby” is the first release from sessions that saw the legendary producer reunite with the members of The Blood Brothers having produced their seminal album, 2003’s ‘Burn, Piano Island, Burn’, which helped define a generation of underground music. Upon the arrival of “Forgotten”, Revolver praised it among the “6 Best New Songs Right Now”. The Plot In You's 'Vol. 2' EP is a powerful showcase of the band's evolution, blending raw emotion with polished musicality, and stands as a testament to the band's growth and artistic maturity, captivating listeners with its intense yet introspective narratives with tracks “Closure”, “Don’t Look Away”, and “All That I Can Give” further solidifying their place as one of the genre's most compelling acts. In the quartet's latest offering and first release from 'Vol. 4', "You Get One" comes out of the gates swinging with existential fury. With haunting, glitchy electronics, a driving rhythm, and vocals that fluctuate from eerily digitalized murmurs to in-your-face screams, the track serves as an observation on the counterintuitive nature of current society, and the expanse between being a human versus what it means to be human.

Holding Absence Announce Sumerian Records Signing "Whisper Of A Dream" Single And Music Video Out Now

South Wales trio Holding Absence today release "Whisper Of A Dream", their first new music since 2023’s ‘The Noble Art Of Self-Destruction’ and their first for new label Sumerian Records. 

This track captures what it means to be human when hope feels out of reach. Holding Absence explore the tension between numbness and healing, tapping into a state so dark it feels almost inhuman. It is a search for something better, while watching it slip further away. Sitting between emotional hardcore and alternative, Holding Absence lean into deep vulnerability, pulling listeners into a world shaped by their lyrics and striking visual identity. The single also marks the introduction of a character that will unfold across the album campaign. 

Speaking of "Whisper Of A Dream", frontman Lucas Woodland shares:

“'Whisper Of A Dream' is our first song back in what feels like forever. After releasing our third record, 'The Noble Art Of Self-Destruction', it felt essential to step away for a while - to take stock and rediscover who we are as a band. "Whisper" felt like the perfect song to return with. In many ways, it represents everything Holding Absence has always been, while introducing new elements to our sound and opening the door to what comes next. 

Lyrically and conceptually, the song draws heavily from cyberpunk media. Contemplation, sentience and dreaming in an ever-evolving world. The music video also introduces our robot mascot “Y4-BB0”, a character you’ll be seeing more of in the coming years." 

By signing off ‘The Noble Art of Self-Destruction’ with a stark “3/3”, Holding Absence made a promise - to set fire to everything they, and their fans, thought they knew about the band. After nearly a decade of carving out a home in their post hardcore terrain, 'TNAOSD'was a final, defiant love letter to themselves - a wild, muddy exorcism of all they had been, and all that fans had grown to love about them… But the end of that campaign posed some cold, hard questions: What do we lose? And what do we keep? What does it mean - and has it meant - to the thousands of fans across the world adorned with the moth tattoo? And how do we carry out this metamorphosis without losing that?

Olive Vox Confront Time And Fragility on New Single “14 Years”

Texas-based alternative rock four-piece, Olive Vox return with “14 Years,” a stark and emotionally loaded new single that lands as their fourth release since signing to Big Machine Rock. Arriving in the wake of previous singles -  “BABYDOLL”, “T.A.N.G.O”, and “Dying Breath”, the track follows a breakout year that has seen the band sharpen their identity in real time, both on record and on the road, most recently supporting Badflower across the US. There’s a physicality to “14 Years”. Pins and needles, loss of control, the body turning unfamiliar. Parker James’ vocal sits right at the center of that tension, carrying the weight of a narrative that feels both deeply personal yet uncomfortably universal. Providing further context on the song, the band share the following

“This song is a reflection of the ultimate betrayal of the “provider” archetype: the moment a person successfully completes the strenuous journey of securing their family’s future, only to have their own body become the very thing that destabilizes it. It explores the agonizing transition from being the “stranger” planting seeds for a legacy to becoming a “patient” who is forced to watch their own fading presence become a burden. This isn’t about lack of success, but about the cruelty of time; it’s the realization that while you finally reached the destination, you’ve been robbed of the right to inhabit it, leaving you to grapple with the hollowed remains of a dream that your family will now have to navigate without you.”

Olive Vox channel sonic electricity from the natural chemistry between them. Like four livewires sparking on contact, the Texas-based quartet, Parker James on vocals, Caden Shea on guitar, Dayton Phillips on drums, and Ben Reid on bass, have built a reputation on sweat-soaked shows, phenomenal live energy that could power their home state of Texas, restless experimentation, and a rapidly growing fanbase. ICE NINE KILLS PRESENTS “Hell or High Slaughter (Grave Diggler: Pt. 2)”

Their sons may have eclipsed them in the 21st Century, but for a sleazy moment, Grave Diggler left its stain on hard partying rock n’ roll with decadence, desecrations, and panty raids. The group once stood shoulder to shoulder with their eyeliner-and-excess peers in Poison, Mötley Crüe, and W.A.S.P., before bad business and even worse drugs dampened the fire in their loins. By the early ’90s, like many glam bands, Grave Diggler faded from the spotlight.

But history has a strange way of digglering up the past.

When the directing duo behind Scream (2022) and Scream VI, began work on the sequel to their 2019 black comedy horror hit Ready or Not, they desperately wanted to include one of Grave Diggler’s forgotten classic anthems. But even after Radio Silence Productions deduced the connection with Spencer Charnas, securing the rights was no mean feat. 

The ensuing legal battle between fathers and sons resulted in Ice Nine Kills re-recording “Hell or High Slaughter (Grave Diggler: Pt. 2)” for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come and the long-banned 1987 music video for the song seeing the light of day. 

“I’ve been estranged from my father for a long time,” Spencer explains. “But this movie, and this song, while bringing a lot of complicated feelings to the surface, also brought us back together.”

Midwinter Release New EP 'CHAPTER THREE: Still Hurts" And Drop Official Music Video For "Lying Figures" via Papercut Recordings

Atmospheric metalcore quintet Midwinter has today released their latest EP, 'CHAPTER THREE: Still Hurts' via Papercut Recordings. In celebration of the release, the band dropped the official music video for their new single, "Lying Figures". Speaking about the track, the band commented:

"This song lives in that desperate space of limbo, when you’re caught between the love you lost and the reality of having to move forward. It’s about the mental struggle of still wanting something you once had, even when you know deep down it wasn’t healthy for you. Musically, we really focused on creating something that feels truly moving. We wanted the instrumentals to carry that weight so the listener can feel the sadness and emotion behind every part of the song."

ROMAN CANDLE Announce Debut Album; Drop New Single & Music Video "Blasphemous Act"

Written in the final hours of the album sessions, "Blasphemous Act" arrived too loud and too late to leave behind. Built on raw, unfiltered vocals and dynamics that coil and crack under barely controlled pressure, the track maps the exact moment devotion tips feral, channelling obsession and retribution into something cathartic, unhinged, and ending in a repeated "run for your life" refrain that hits like a full stop.

The title came from a Magic: The Gathering card. The song went somewhere darker. Piper explains:

"'Blasphemous Act' was the last song we wrote for the record, and it hit with such ferocity that it forced its way onto the album in the eleventh hour. The name came from a Magic: The Gathering card, but the song took on a life of its own — this unhinged, teeth-bared spiral of obsession and retribution. Lines like 'your neck in my teeth is all that I need' and 'karma is owed, paid in full' captured a darker, more primal side of the band that we didn't even know we were still capable of tapping into. By the time it explodes into that repeated 'run for your life' refrain, it felt clear: the record wouldn't be complete without this song."
