A remarkable chapter in rock history is finally being completed. Conceived years ago by Alice Cooper and his longtime collaborator Dick Wagner, Chester Rose was envisioned as a theatrical concept album in the spirit of Welcome to My Nightmare, a dark, cinematic production intended for both album and television.

From the beginning, Cooper and Wagner imagined the project being brought to life by a younger artist with the right voice, charisma, and theatrical presence. That artist became Maryann Cotton, who was discovered by Wagner and taken under his wing before being introduced to Cooper. Cotton later relocated from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Los Angeles to work directly on the album and its evolving concept.

Written by Alice Cooper, Dick Wagner, and Maryann Cotton, Chester Rose tells the story of a rock star turned serial killer whose twisted descent into lust, romance, obsession, and murder unfolds across twelve captivating tracks. The album takes listeners on a dramatic journey, beginning with explosive hard rock energy before evolving into darker and more sophisticated storytelling reminiscent of Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel, and classic Alice Cooper.

The first single, "Thief of Hearts," is available now. "“Thief of Hearts” was one of the first songs Dick Wagner and Alice Cooper had written for the concept, and one of the very first songs Dick ever played for me.

Throughout this entire project, I’ve tried to stay respectful and true to the core of the original concept Dick created, while at the same time expanding on it and ultimately turning it into Maryann Cotton’s world. With “Thief of Hearts” in particular, I wanted to stay as true as possible to Alice’s original vocal lines and phrasing from the original version that was presented to me. It was important to me to preserve the DNA of what Dick and Alice created while still making the song my own.

I remember hearing the song for the first time and being completely blown away. As a lifelong Alice Cooper fan, it immediately took me back to somewhere between 1975 and 1977. It had that unmistakable Cooper/Wagner trademark, feel and attitude. You could hear exactly where it came from.", says Maryann Cotton.

Although extensive pre-production work was completed and multiple versions of the project were developed, the album was never fully recorded or released. Tragically, Dick Wagner passed away shortly before the project was scheduled to enter the studio.

Determined to fulfill the vision he had shared with Cooper and Wagner, Cotton revisited the project two years ago. He reopened the original Pro Tools sessions, painstakingly restoring Wagner's guitar riffs and solos while carefully cleaning, editing, and mixing the material to preserve its original spirit. Longtime collaborator Steve Hunter became an integral part of the process, contributing throughout the completion of the album.

Adding to the project's significance, Tommy Henriksen of Hollywood Vampires contributed both rhythm and lead guitar performances. Much of the album features the legendary guitar partnership of Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner, making Chester Rose the final recording in rock history to feature performances from both musicians together. The result is a powerful and timeless hard rock album that bridges generations while preserving the creative vision of two of rock's most celebrated collaborators.

Released in 1976, Sad Wings of Destiny was the moment Judas Priest found its true identity. Where Rocka Rolla offered promise, Sad Wings delivered purpose. 

Fronted by Rob Halford (voc), Glenn Tipton (gtr), KK Downing (gtr), Ian Hill (bass) and Alan Moore (drums), Sad Wings of Destiny was a bold, dark, and ambitious statement that would help define heavy metal and featured future metal classics such as ‘Victim of Changes’ and ‘The Ripper’—songs that Judas Priest performed live during their 2026 FAITHKEEPERS Summer Tour.  

Now in the 50th anniversary year of its original release, Judas Priest’s Sad Wings of Destiny is being celebrated with two distinct editions of the album: Original 1976 Masters and the newly announced Remixed & Remastered. These two new versions restore the band’s intended track listing, beginning with the atmospheric “Prelude" and presenting the songs in the sequence Judas Priest originally envisioned for the album.

Since beginning his professional music career at just fourteen years old, Karl Cochran built an impressive legacy as a guitarist, songwriter, producer, and collaborator. Throughout his career, he worked, toured, and recorded with some of rock's most respected names, including Ace Frehley, Joe Lynn Turner, Eric Singer, Bob Daisley, Corky Laing, John Corabi, Carmine Appice, Tony Franklin, Kristen Chenoweth, Public Enemy icon Flavor Flav, and many others.

Karl toured extensively with Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen) and became a key contributor to several of Turner's solo releases, including the acclaimed Second Hand Life in 2007. He also co-wrote "Into the Void" with Ace Frehley for KISS's Psycho Circus, which achieved platinum status worldwide following its 1998 release.

In 2000, Karl launched Voodooland with a self-released EP before expanding the project with the 2004 full-length release Give Me Air. The album showcased an all-star lineup featuring Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow, Deep Purple), John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, The Dead Daisies), Bob Daisley (Ozzy Osbourne, Rainbow), Brent Fitz (Union, Slash), and many other renowned musicians as well writing partners Robert Mason (Warrant) and Ron Young (Little Caesar) on many of the tracks.

Reflecting on his longtime friendship and musical partnership with Karl, Joe Lynn Turner shared: "I worked with Karl for as long as I can remember. Writing, recording, and playing live shows. KENYON RECORDS ANNOUNCES THE DEFINITIVE DELUXE REISSUE OF THE DANGEROUS TOYS 1989 CLASSIC DEBUT ALBUM

Kenyon Records is proud to announce Dangerous Toys: The Definitive Edition, a landmark reissue of the self-titled 1989 debut from Austin, Texas sleaze-metal legends Dangerous Toys. Arriving Friday, November 13, 2026, this fully authorized, band-approved release reunites the group with the man who produced their sound in the first place: Max Norman, who returned in 2026 to remaster the album from the ground up, completing dedicated remasters specifically for vinyl and for CD to preserve maximum fidelity in each format.

The 2xCD, 2xLP, and 2xCassette editions are anchored by nine live recordings from the band's explosive 1989 tour that have never been heard by anyone outside the band until now (the 2xCD includes extra live bonus track of "That Dog"). The recordings come straight from frontman Jason McMaster's personal stash of soundboard cassettes — tapes their front-of-house engineer handed off after shows so the band could study their own performances, never duplicated or heard publicly until this release.

"I was excited to hear these somewhat raw but cool recordings from long ago for the first time in at least 30 years, maybe more," says McMaster. "No copies were ever made of these master cassettes. We hope you enjoy these historical moments from the archives."

THE ALBUM

Formed in Austin, Texas in October 1987, Dangerous Toys fused Southern-fried hard rock swagger with metal muscle and punk attitude — equal parts Aerosmith and ZZ Top, filtered through razor-edged sleaze. Singer Jason McMaster (formerly of progressive metal outfit Watchtower) joined guitarist Scott Dalhover, bassist Mike Watson, and drummer Mark Geary, and within a year the band had landed a major-label deal — remarkably, without ever recording an actual demo. Industry buzz was instead sparked by a cassette of a live local radio broadcast, and after several shows in Texas, a bidding war broke out among major labels.

Produced by Norman at the legendary Sound City studio — the same room later immortalized in Dave Grohl's 2013 documentary — and released May 9, 1989, the self-titled debut was instantly recognizable thanks to artist Tommy Pons' now-iconic cover: Bill Z. Bub, the leering, red-haired horror-clown jack-in-the-box that remains the band's visual signature to this day.

The record delivered two MTV Headbangers Ball staples and bona fide radio hits, "Teas'n, Pleas'n" and "Scared," plus fan-favorite third single "Sport'n a Woody." "Teas'n, Pleas'n" climbed to #1 on MTV's Dial MTV, knocking Bon Jovi from the top spot. The album itself hit No. 65 on the Billboard 200 and earned a Gold certification from the RIAA — a breakout run that sent the band out on the road with Judas Priest, The Cult, Motörhead, L.A. Guns, and Alice Cooper.

Slaughter, formed in Las Vegas in 1988, exploded onto the scene with their platinum debut Stick It To Ya. The album produced three Billboard Hot 100 singles, including "Fly To The Angels" (#19), "Up All Night" (#27), and "Spend My Life" (#39), helping establish the band as one of the era's premier hard rock acts.

Formed in Hollywood, California, in 1984, Warrant achieved worldwide success with more than 10 million albums sold. Their double-platinum debut Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich featured the smash hit "Heaven," which climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, while subsequent releases cemented the band's place in rock history.

First up is Dokken’s Live From The Sun, available as a double LP housed in a deluxe gatefold jacket on blue vinyl, with limited bundles (100 copies only) signed by Reb Beach. Recorded on November 4, 1999, at the Sun Theatre in Anaheim, California during the Erase The Slate tour, the album captures the band delivering classics including "Alone Again," "In My Dreams," and more. As guitarist Reb Beach recalls: "That was a great time in my life and I had so much fun on that tour. I was a big Dokken fan and I was so thrilled to play those classic songs every night. Luckily, I had a good show. There is a super long solo in the song 'Too High To Fly' that was totally improvised every night, and I just lucked out that it was a good one, haha! That album rocks, for sure!"

Next is Slaughter's Eternal Live, featuring performances recorded during late-1997 shows in Mexico City and Las Vegas. Available for the first time ever on vinyl, this LP comes packaged in a beautiful gatefold jacket on orange vinyl, with limited bundles (100 copies only) signed by Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum. One of the most significant aspects of Eternal Live is that it serves as a tribute to original guitarist Tim Kelly, who tragically lost his life in an automobile accident in 1998. These recordings capture some of Kelly's final performances with the band and feature fan favorites including "Fly To The Angels" and "Up All Night."

Rounding out the collection is Warrant's Live 86-97, making its vinyl debut as a double LP, with limited bundles (100 copies only) signed by Erik Turner and Jerry Dixon. Recorded at Harpos Concert Theatre in Detroit, Michigan, on November 22, 1996, during the tour supporting Belly To Belly, the album delivers electrifying performances of hits including "Heaven," "Cherry Pie," "Down Boys," and more. Original guitarist Erik Turner comments: "Warrant Live 86-97 captures the energy, attitude and good times that we are known for. TRIUMPH RETURNS WITH LEG 2 OF LAUDED “ROCK & ROLL MACHINE RELOADED TOUR” CELEBRATING 50 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Triumph, one of Canada’s most revered and influential rock bands, returns with Leg 2 of the Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded Tour, continuing the band’s 50th year Anniversary in music. Following a resonant return to form, the first leg of the tour met with fan exuberance at every stop and resonated across social media, prompting the addition of 16 new shows across the United States due to popular demand. Special guest April Wine will again join Triumph for the newly announced dates.

The second leg will take Triumph through major markets across the Midwest, Northeast, Southwest, and West Coast in November and December. The tour features Rik Emmett and Gil Moore, alongside Phil X, Todd Kerns and Brent Fitz, bringing Triumph’s legendary catalog to arenas across the country. The newly announced run will culminate with December 10th and 12th performances at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles and at Viejas Arena in San Diego, respectively.

Tickets for the newly announced dates will be available beginning with an Artist Presale on Tuesday, August 25, at 10AM local time, followed by the Citi Presale at 12PM local time, with additional presales throughout the week. The general onsale begins Thursday, August 27 at 10AM local time via LiveNation.com.

Triumph has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from every ticket sold will support the SoundsUnite Charity– providing free music learning resources, music wellness, and collaboration tools to marginalized and at-risk youth.

This Limited Edition Gatefold LP features reimagined cover artwork, and a zoetrope vinyl with moving images of the iconic band’s logo and the members themselves, all housed in an opaque bag.

Formed in Los Angeles, RATT was featured as an unsigned act on Uncle Joe Benson’s Local Licks Drive Time Show on KLOS-FM.  This was their first time on radio and led to their signing to Atlantic Records.  

RATT exploded on to the national scene in 1984 with the release of ‘Out Of The Cellar.’ Featuring an undeniable hook and legendary music video, lead single “Round And Round” hit #12 on the Billboard Hot 100, while ‘Out Of The Cellar’ reached #7 on the Billboard Top 200 and was certified triple platinum. Two more charting singles followed with “Back For More” and “Wanted Man”. RATT started the tour as an opening act, but by the end of the tour had climbed to arena headliner.

RATT returned in 1985 with their 2nd full length album, ‘Invasion Of Your Privacy.’ Certified double platinum and also reaching #7 on the Billboard Top 200, ‘Invasion of Your Privacy’ also featured the classics “Lay It Down” (#40 Billboard Hot 100) and “You’re In Love”. 

‘Dancing Undercover’ followed in 1986 as RATT toured North America with a brand new LA band called POISON as the opening act. Renowned drummer, vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Brian Tichy is stepping into the spotlight with his latest musical venture, Led By Vultures, an explosive new band blending raw intensity, arena-sized hooks, uncompromising musicianship, and a fresh vision for modern hard rock.

Known for his powerhouse performances alongside some of rock’s most legendary artists, Tichy now takes center stage as the driving creative force and frontman behind Led By Vultures. The band's latest single, “Waves,” showcases a more melodic and reflective side of Tichy’s songwriting. As he states, “Waves” is a song I’ve had for a long time. It’s a metaphorical idea about trying to find contentment as we travel through life. I had this “Floydian / Zeppish” chord progression I was messing with on an acoustic guitar tuned to open C. My bud Derek Sherinian who co-wrote and played keyboards on it, heard me messing with it, dug it, and said, “that needs The Pipes of Pan!” He immediately came up with the first flute lines. I answered that with the arpeggiated guitar line and a rotary effect. From there we knew the chorus should get big and anthemic.”

Tichy continues, “We wrote the bridge for the guitar solo with the intent of taking you on a little majestic trip, away from the repetitive, hypnotic nature of the rest of the song. When I started making the Led By Vultures record, Derek brought Waves up as a contender. I instantly agreed and re-recorded it. It’s nice to have seen this song through! The video was shot at El Matador Beach in Malibu by Keita Hagiwara, who also shot the second Led By Vultures video, “Massivity.” We ended up with an overcast day but I think in the end it worked out.”

Two titans of progressive music, Steve Hackett (Genesis) and Steve Rothery (Marillion), come together on ‘The Roaring Waves’ - a striking and deeply atmospheric instrumental album shaped by memory, imagination, and the elemental power of the sea. Steve Rothery comments: “Red Dragon shows off the rockier side of our collaboration, it starts with the sound of a hurdy gurdy (an instrument which originated in medieval Europe around the 10th century), followed by a heavy guitar riff by myself and great guitar melodies and sitar guitar by SH.”

Steve Hackett adds: “Red Dragon was the name of the ship that was used by the East India Trading Company in its early years. I used a sitar guitar amongst others to give that authentic Eastern feel…”

Years in the making, The Roaring Waves brings together seven instrumental compositions that move fluidly between the cinematic and the intimate, as Hackett explains, “It’s not the kind of album that guitarists normally make together.”

Written and recorded intermittently over nearly a decade - with sessions at Racket Club and the duo’s home studios - the album emerged from an organic, improvisational process. Jams and shared ideas form the backbone of the music, allowing both players to explore a collaborative dynamic defined by sensitivity and mutual respect.

Throughout ‘The Roaring Waves’, the duo embrace a painterly, almost filmic approach to composition - crafting music that invites listeners to drift, imagine, and immerse themselves. “You’re trying to create an atmosphere… like painting a picture,” says Rothery. “Taking people on a journey.”

ALBERT BOUCHARD'S IMAGINOS IV: RHYME OF THE STARCLOCK ARRIVES SEPTEMBER 25TH, AND THE FIRST SINGLE AND VIDEO, “FOUR WINDS BAR,” ARE AVAILABLE NOW

Albert Bouchard is best known as a founding member of Blue Öyster Cult, whose  original lineup sold millions of albums for Columbia Records and produced such  classics as "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" and the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart-topping  hit "Burnin' for You." Bouchard also contributed songwriting and lead vocals to some of  the band's most beloved tracks, including "Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll." 

For decades, Bouchard has shepherded the Imaginos concept through its many  incarnations, transforming the feverish visions of Sandy Pearlman into a sprawling  musical narrative. The acclaimed Imaginos Trilogy brought together songs spanning  decades into a chronological tale of the ever-changing shapeshifter known as Imaginos. 

Now, the story continues with Imaginos IV: Rhyme Of The Starclock, inspired by a  treasure trove of previously undiscovered writings from Pearlman. 

As Bouchard explains: "After Mutant Reformation, I thought I was done with Imaginos. Those who bought the previous three Imaginos records might have thought the same  thing. Then a cache of Sandy Pearlman's writings was discovered when they sold his  house. Out of the thousand or so pages there were at least 28 song lyrics that were  never recorded. Most of those related directly to the Imaginos saga. Over the past 12  months I have recorded more than 20 of those songs. This new record contains 11 of  them, only one of which was known to me before. I am very excited to bring brand-new  material to this epic story." 

Imaginos IV: Rhyme Of The Starclock will be released on September 25th through Deko  Entertainment. The first single, "Four Winds Bar," inspired by a lyric from the Blue  Öyster Cult classic "Astronomy," was written by Joe Bouchard and Sandy Pearlman and  features Blue Coupe.

TRAPEZE’S SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM FEATURING ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAMER AND FORMER DEEP PURPLE MEMBER GLENN HUGHES ARRIVES THIS OCTOBER

Deko Entertainment is proud to announce the release of Trapeze, the self-titled debut album from legendary British rock band Trapeze, arriving this October on 180-gram blue vinyl and limited to just 500 copies worldwide.

Originally released in 1970 and produced by John Lodge of The Moody Blues, Trapeze captured the band's early psychedelic and progressive rock sound before they evolved into the hard-rock powerhouse that would go on to influence generations of musicians.

Formed in 1969, Trapeze originally featured former The Montanas members John Jones (trumpet, vocals) and Terry Rowley (keyboards), alongside former Finders Keepers members Glenn Hughes (bass, vocals, piano), Mel Galley (guitar, vocals), and Dave Holland (drums). Following the release of their debut album, Jones and Rowley departed the group, leaving Hughes, Galley, and Holland to continue as a trio.

The band's legacy extends far beyond this groundbreaking debut. Glenn Hughes would go on to join Deep Purple and later be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the legendary group. Mel Galley would become a member of Whitesnake, while Dave Holland would achieve international success with Judas Priest.
