RAINBOW - THE TEMPLE OF THE KING 1975 – 1976 is the most comprehensive collection of the opening phase of Rainbow’s career to date, and is the first in a series of anthology sets covering the career of legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. The 9-CD set, newly mastered by Andy Pearce & Matt Wortham, is housed in Deluxe 7” packaging featuring a 24-page booklet featuring memorabilia, photos and sleeve notes by music writer Rich Davenport.

The set spans the band's first two years and includes their debut album, Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow; their breakthrough record, Rising and the extended German concerts that were compiled as part of the double live album On Stage.

The final two discs comprise rare recordings, many of which are featured on CD for the first time, including band rehearsals, single edits, and rough mixes.

Rainbow was initially formed as a Ritchie Blackmore solo project in the early months of 1975, after a Deep Purple tour of the previous year. On that tour, they were supported by the American band Elf. The singer of Elf, Ronnie James Dio, left an impression on the already legendary guitarist Blackmore. Blackmore asked him to sing on a cover of the song Black Sheep Of The Family. The sessions went so well that a full album began to take shape, with Blackmore and Dio collaborating on original songs. Blackmore had such foresight in this project, he solely financially funded the work and thus began the mystical musical world of Rainbow.  The resulting record, Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, was recorded between February and March 1975 at Musicland Studios in Munich, Germany. With Blackmore's composing prowess and Dio's mystical lyrics, the band was set to take fans to a new level.

The album’s unusual stylistic blend of hard rock and classical music was partly inspired by Blackmore taking up the cello to help him break free of the confines of conventional guitar chord progressions. Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow was a top 15 hit in the UK and top 30 in the US, and was such a positive experience that in the Summer of 1975, that Blackmore left Deep Purple to commit himself fully to Rainbow.

Recruiting bassist Jimmy Bain, keyboard player Tony Carey and ex-Jeff Beck Group drummer Cozy Powell, Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow undertook their first tour. By 1976, the band's name had been shortened to Rainbow, and a second album, Rising, was recorded in February of that year once again at Musicland. Rising, with its iconic sleeve of a fist holding a rainbow in a mystical scene, only features six tracks, including two epic compositions on side two, one of which, Stargazer, is widely regarded as a Rainbow classic and a landmark in hard rock. The original musical stylings are often touted as the 1st neo-classical metal band. It was the perfect melding of Ritchie's guitar wizardry and Ronnie's soaring powerful vocals.

Taking the album on the road in 1976, the band added Deep Purple's Mistreated to their setlist, and song lengths were stretched to include improvisational sections. The band recorded shows in Germany and Japan, which were edited and compiled as the live album On Stage, released in the summer of 1977. Three of the German shows from Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Nürnberg are being released together for the first time outside of Japan on The Temple Of The King 1975 – 1976.

By the end of 1976, Rainbow had established itself as one of the cornerstones of British rock, and, under the leadership of the never-predictable but ever-astonishing guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, would become synonymous with some of the most loved and popular Rock songs of the seventies and eighties. LONG LOST CULT CLASSIC BY ARMAGEDDON IS CELEBRATING ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY AND IS BEING REISSUED

Armageddon was formed in 1974, and their self-titled debut, Armageddon, released in 1975, was recorded in England and released in the United States on A&M Records. The albums' original liner notes use the term "supergroup", as their personnel were drummer Bobby Caldwell (previously a member of Captain Beyond), singer Keith Relf (who had fronted the band the Yardbirds and was a co-founder of Renaissance), guitarist Martin Pugh (from Steamhammer), and bassist Louis Cennamo (also formerly of Renaissance and Steamhammer).

This classic has now been remastered and repackaged in a beautiful gatefold on 180G Atomic Red Vinyl with additional photos and credits to celebrate the 50th Anniversary.  There is a Limited (100 copies) signed bundle that comes with a 10x10 print signed by all three-surviving members (Bobby Caldwell, Louis Cennamo, Martin Pugh). As Caldwell states, “Hello!  It was a great pleasure to have written and worked on the Armageddon album with the late Keith Relf, Martin Pugh, and Louis Cenamo, some of the finest players in England!  We had a lot of fun, and we are delighted to see the album being re-issued by Deko Entertainment. Ronnie Montrose Remembered: Namm 2026 - 10 Year Anniversary All Star Memorial Concert

Iconic American rock guitarist Ronnie Montrose will be saluted by a stellar rock star line-up whose own careers were influenced by the legendary and powerful Montrose sound at Ronnie Montrose Remembered  — one of the most talked about shows of NAMM 2026.

This 10 year anniversary celebratory concert highlighting Montrose’s career will feature his greatest hits from early Montrose, Edgar Winter, Van Morrison, Gamma and more. The event is set for 7:30 PM, Saturday, January 24th at the Grand Theater Anaheim Event Center.

Former Montrose lead singer and event producer, Keith St John says new iconic names are being added to the line-up literally every day. St John was with Montrose for the last 13 years of Ronnie’s life. The band was on top of the charts in the 1970s when Sammy Hagar was vocalist, with tunes like Rock Candy, Bad Motor Scooter and Rock the Nation. When St John teamed up with Montrose they continued to entertain until right before his death, filling clubs and festivals around the world. St John wrote many unreleased tunes with Ronnie Montrose, some performed at concerts throughout their years together.

It has been 10 years since the first RMR memorial celebration took place and St John wants this special anniversary edition of the show to be as scintillating as the first. “Ronnie’s contribution to rock music in the early 70’s was the Rock n Roll bible for many of the up and coming great American rock guitarists for the next two decades more than he probably ever realized or gave himself credit for.  I really want to give those who really appreciate Ronnie the chance to get together in a loving dynamic concert setting where we can all really dig in and enjoy each other through the commonality of Ronnie’s music,” St John remarks. 

Guitarist Doug Aldrich of Whitesnake, Dio, and Dead Daisies fame who will be performing at this event says this of Montrose:

SLIK HELVETIKA RETURN WITH NEW SINGLE, "SOLAR HEAD"

One of the heaviest bands to emerge from the Philadelphia rock scene is certainly Slik Helvetika. Who, will be returning on December 5, 2025 with a brand new single, "Solar Head" – which serves as a preview concerning what to expect from the band's 2026 full-length, 'Walk Through Fire,' which will be released through Deko Entertainment.

"'Solar Head' begins with an unsettling actual recording of solar wind, then erupts into full ass kicking mode," explains the group's long-time singer/guitarist/songwriter Michael Myers. "The song is written about a mass coronal ejection large enough to engulf all in its path. A mass extinction level event."

"What if this event's energy had a consciousness?  Let's talk about that.  Better yet, let's write a full throttle heavy metal anthem around this this extinction level event with the tongue in cheek placement of some very aggressive cliches and lyrics! The Atomic Killpig rules this world!”

From the glory days of the Philadelphia and New Jersey rock scene of the 80s that spawned Cinderella, Britny Fox, Pretty Poison, John Eddie, and an entire laundry list of artists who went forward to be stars, there was a band called Destroyer.  These boys in Destroyer were *ssholes. Too young, bad attitudes, but really good, great songs, and ultra entertaining. 

 

Going wide open full throttle, it would take them some time before they were a commodity that a record company of that day would even consider. Even though their self-released EP sold out of multiple pressings. When that glorious day came, there was a flash bulletin....“Sorry, grunge ate your genre”. 

 

Led by Myers, the band had unknowingly sidestepped all the woes and pressures of being “that commodity” and unwanted influences. Taking some time to let the songs and playing develop to be the best it could resulted in that band today called Slik Helvetika. Lots of driving energy, melody, memorable chorus hooks, great playing and strong lyrics. Yes, it is a reincarnation of Destroyer with bigger balls, but incredibly tastefully done. 

 

The line up has always featured Michael Myers on lead guitar and vocals – who has had the privilege of playing alongside a variety of talented musicians, such as Kjell Benner [formerly of Quiet Riot] Vern Parsons [Greg Howe].  Slik Helvetika and Destroyer have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Cinderella, Trixter, Savatage, EZO, Kingdom Come, Malice, Foghat, Rick Derringer, Funny Money, [Kix side project], Krokus, Manowar, John 5 and many more.

 

And on December 5th, Myers and co. will prove once again that they are one of the most ferocious rock bands to ever come out of the Philly scene, with the arrival of "Solar Head."

KELLY DECO RELEASES “PLACES” FROM HIS LATEST ALBUM WITH EXCITING VINTAGE FUTURISM ADVENTURE

Steeped in the magic and mystery of an artist’s life in the Hollywood movie machinery, vintage-futurism storyteller Kelly Deco moves through space and time with imaginary twists on figures we sometimes see in the sky and know in our hearts. Rock supergroup THE FELL, featuring legendary bassist Billy Sheehan, multi-platinum producer Mike (K.) Krompass, and Australian vocal powerhouse Toby Rand, issued their debut EP, 'Killswitch,' on October 24th. And on November 28th, the band will released a new single, the melodic yet rocking "Footprints."

The band JELUSICK is formed around Dino Jelusick (Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, For Whom Gods Destroy, etc...) with Luke Broderick who is (same as Dino) an academically educated musician and with Ivan Keller and Mario Lepoglavec who both actively tour with Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Journey). All of them are exceptionally talented musicians who are ready to show the world that rock is still alive. Their music is a combination of hard/heavy/prog with versatile elements from some other genres. JELUSICK is seen as the next rock sensation by fans and music colleagues alike.

Dino joined Whitesnake after receiving a personal phone call from David Coverdale and went out on the band's 2022 farewell tour as a multi-instrumentalist covering many of the vocals for Coverdale. Upon returning he immediately focused his attention on JELUSICK, releasing the critically acclaimed and very well receivedFollow The Blind Man. Veteran Metal guitarist/bassist David K. Starr (WildeStarr, Vicious Rumors, CHASTAIN) returns with a slamming new track and video

"NOT DEAD YET" is Dave's own testimony of life's twists and turns after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2020. 

Dave says... "I originally started writing the song about what I have gone through, but then I realized its bigger then me, this song is for anyone out there dealing with life changing events, be it their health, death of a loved one, a broken heart, or whatever comes your way". Dave continues.. "I never mention my health problems in the song, that would be too corny, so I broadened my scope and made it for anyone out there who's going through pain"..."Its basically about standing tall and fighting for yourself, fighting to stay alive, no matter what kind of hell life throws at you”

"NOT DEAD YET" was directed by London Wilde, and features Dave singing lead vocals for the first time, as well as playing all the guitars. Backing up Dave on this new track & video are Rich Gray on bass (Annihilator, Aeon Zen) and drummer Fabio Alessandrini (Annihilator, Bonfire)

David K. Starr was the bassist with Vicious Rumors from 1984 – 1993, and again from 2005 – 2007. He is featured on the albums; Soldiers Of The Night (1985), Digital Dictator (1988), Vicious Rumors (1990), Welcome To The Ball (1991), Live In Tokyo (1992), and WARBALL (2006)

David played bass for CHASTAIN from 2001 – 2005 and recorded the 2004 album, In An Outrage.

More recently, David K. Starr released 3 albums with WildeStarr: ARRIVAL (2010), A TELL TALE HEART (2012), BEYOND THE RAIN (2017) With David K. Starr on Guitars and Bass,  London Wilde on vocals, and Josh Foster on Drums.

Concerning the song, Yellow Snow's creator, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist Mike DiBiase, had this to say. “I never knew if it was a Christmas or Halloween song. Instead of doing a traditional orchestral arrangement, I thought, ‘Let’s do big Queen-Type vocals in place of that orchestral instrumentation and then let’s make it really rock with heavy guitars.’"
 
"So, I went downstairs and worked out the arrangement. Then, I drank a bottle of wine, and I sang it the best I could. The vein in my temple was about to pop out of my head by the time I was done, but it fits our brand. It’s definitely a rockin’ song now.”
 
For years, Rhode Island-born DiBiase — a lifelong musician and EMMY ® Award - nominated audio post production talent by trade — had “gifted” family and friends hard rock Christmas songs. He decided to bring them to the stage at a Rhode Island club in 2007 for the live debut of Yellow Snow, packing the house and donating a portion of the proceeds to various charities. 
 
He annually headlined shows throughout the ensuing years stirring up a level of cult fandom among the initiated. The music also quietly took on a life of its own as DiBiase’s original song “Giddy Yup, Santa Claus” landed a high-profile sync on The CW’s Riverdale. 
 
Armed with the framework constructed by DiBiase and his bandmates (Matt Baird, Al Diaz, Franklin La Barbara, Denise Gouvin, Jason Berndt, and Chris Piccirillo), he decamped to Nashville in order to finish recording what would become Yellow Snow’s full-length debut LP, 'Volume 1,' during 2023.

Originally released in 1969, Ssssh marked Ten Years After’s breakthrough into mainstream rock, blending blues riffs with the raw energy of British psychedelia.

56 years later, Chrysalis are proud to present the album in its most expansive form to date. Featuring the original 1969 mix, the album has also been newly mixed by Charlie Russell from the original ¼ production multi-track tapes, offering superb fresh sonic detail, while the third disc contains a newly discovered live recording from the Finnish radio archives of the bands stunning performance at the Kulttuuritalo Hall in Helsinki on 3rd December 1969, recorded just months after the bands’ career-altering performance at Woodstock.

At the centre of this hardcover edition are newly written liner notes by Nigel Williamson, testimonial from Joe Bonamassa and previously unseen photographs. 

The 2-LP vinyl edition was remixed from the original 7-track 1” master tapes and remastered by Phil Kinrade and cut at half-speed at AIR Mastering.

Ten Years After’s Leo Lyons on the deluxe reissue: 

“Ssssh was the first record that Ten Years After made on an 8-track machine rather than the four track machines used on previous albums. We could finally separate things out, experiment with overdubs, and actually hear the instruments breathe. Dean DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots and Trip The Witch, along with vocalist Pete Shoulder, released their latest collaboration, One More Satellite digitally July 18, 2025 via Symphonic. Now they are expanding their distribution with a worldwide release of the Vinyl and CD through Deko Entertainment (ADA/Warner Music Group).

One More Satellite presents a diverse collection of songs. “I was simply sitting on some songs I wanted to record,” says DeLeo. “What started out as an instrumental album, quickly changed soon after Pete and I chatted. He was going to sing on a song or two, then wound up singing on eight of the ten on the record.”

The collaboration with UK-based vocalist and lyricist Pete Shoulder and DeLeo went quite well and voila, through a transatlantic workflow…One More Satellite was born. “I was excited to hear the new music Dean wanted to collaborate on,” says Shoulder. “We’ve worked together in the past and it’s always been an absolute pleasure making music with him. DeLeo’s son Rocco drums on “Drowning Out The Sun,” “Willow Mae” and “Spit It Out.” Stone Temple Pilots drummer Eric Kretz plays on “Serenade” and Brian Tichy drums the rest. Daughter June DeLeo lends a lovely “aaah”…vocal on “Your Call,” and long-time collaborator, Ryan Williams co-produced and mixed the album.

METAL ICONS JUDAS PRIEST AND OZZY OSBOURNE UNITE ON “WAR PIGS – CHARITY VERSION” OUT NOW

Sony Music are proud to announce the release of “War Pigs – Charity Version”featuring Ozzy Osbourne in collaboration with globally revered rock icons Judas Priest. This historic rendition of the Black Sabbath classic was released today, with all profits donated to The Glenn Tipton Parkinson’s Foundation and Cure Parkinson’s. Get it HERE.

This emotionally charged release unites the titans of British heavy metal one last time in a project born from friendship, mutual respect and a shared mission to fight Parkinson’s disease - a cause close to the hearts of both bands. Initially conceived as a tribute video for Ozzy and Black Sabbath after Judas Priest were unable to join them at the Aston Villa show due to prior commitments with The Scorpions’ 60th Anniversary show in Hannover, the project quickly grew in purpose and power.

When Judas Priest suggested turning the tribute into a full-blown charity single, the idea struck a chord with Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne. With Glenn Tiptoncontributing guitars despite his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s, and Rob Halford and Ozzy Osbourne trading alternate vocal lines, the result is a raw, soaring, and poignant version of the iconic “War Pigs.”
