Legendary Rockers BLUE ÖYSTER CULT Share Live Performance Video for "I Love The Night"

BLUE ÖYSTER CULT is celebrating the release of '50th Anniversary Live – Third Night,' the final installment of the live album celebrating the band’s 50th Anniversary.

In September of 2022, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT enthralled fans with a unique trilogy of sold-out shows, each dedicated to one of their first three albums. Founding member Albert Bouchard made a special appearance on all three nights, adding a nostalgic touch to the historic milestone.

For nearly three hours each night, the band delivered a spellbinding set, weaving through the entirety of their now-classic initial trilogy of albums and treating fans to a mix of favorites, deep cuts, and classic hits. The atmosphere was electric, and Frontiers Music captured the magic, releasing each night as a special individual package.

This electrifying performance, which includes the band’s third album 'Secret Treaties' performed back-to-back, hits shelves TODAY and promises to be a spectacular follow-up to the band's historic three-night stint at Sony Hall in NYC.

To help roll out the album's release, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT shares a new live performance video for "I Love The Night."

These live releases follow ‘Ghost Stories’ - a captivating collection of reimagined and completed songs from 1978 to 2016. These musical treasures, long considered the 'lost gems' by BLUE ÖYSTER CULT enthusiasts, were originally recorded between 1978 and 1983, except for one track from 2016, "If I Fell." Some material is from workshopping albums, some from performance rehearsals, and all were recorded once in the hopes that someday they'd see the light of day.

George Geranios, the band's original audio engineer and an integral part of the band's golden years produced the tracks along with BÖC and all were originally recorded on reel-to-reel analog tape. He transferred them to digital audio which is when modern AI and magical musical talents meet and the collection of vintage multi-track recordings was de-mixed, re-mixed, and produced by Steve Schenck and Richie Castellano to become 'Ghost Stories.'

Richie Castellano completed work in the studio for the album along with remaining original members Eric Bloom and Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser and both Albert Bouchard and Rick Downey appear on drums with additional overdubs recorded by Joe Bouchard. All these original lineup members appearing on 'Ghost Stories,' create a musical journey that traverses decades and promises easter eggs for days.

FOUNDING MEMBER OF BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, ALBERT BOUCHARD SET TO RELEASE THE FIRST IMAGINOS GRAPHIC NOVEL

Albert Bouchard is best known as a founding member of Blue Öyster Cult. The original lineup sold millions of albums for Columbia Records, with such classic songs as “(Don’t Fear) the Reaper” and the number one hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart “Burning for You.” Bouchard contributed to songwriting and lead vocals on some of its greatest songs, such as “Cites on Flame With Rock and Roll.”

Albert Bouchard has recently completed the Imaginos trilogy with the release of Imaginos III – Mutant Reformation. Bouchard has shepherded the concept of Imaginos through its many incarnations over the years, translating Sandy Pearlman’s feverish visions into sonic resonance. Now, he has translated that into the first part of the Imaginos graphic novel trilogy with the release of Imaginos I. The Imaginos I graphic novel recounts the first third of the Imaginos story as it weaves through the 12 songs from Albert Bouchard’s ReImaginos album. This interactive graphic novel connects you to all 12 songs and includes a download card for the digital version, so you can immerse yourself in this interactive experience on your computer, phone, or tablet.

As Bouchard states, “Every aspect of the Imaginos story is being revealed a piece at a time. This volume is the first glimpse of what the story will look like. We are all very proud of this grand work.”  In addition to Bouchard and Deko, the third leg of this present day Imaginos creative team is the Kubert School Art Agency. Michael Kraiger, Placement Coordinator, has enjoyed Kubert’s part in telling the Imaginos story, “This project was a step in a very interesting direction for us and a wonderful opportunity for some amazing artists to showcase their skills. The Imaginos mythos is fertile ground for graphic storytelling, melding it with Albert's music makes this a unique multimedia experience.”

All the Imaginos albums are available now and feature reworks of classic Blue Öyster Cult tracks like “Astronomy,” “E.T.I.,” “Godzilla,” “Cites on Flame With Rock and Roll,” and many more. FOUNDING MEMBER OF BLUE ÖYSTER CULT ALBERT BOUCHARD RELEASING FINAL INSTALLMENT OF IMAGINOS TRILOGY, SECOND SINGLE FEATURING THE DICTATORS OUT NOW!

Albert Bouchard is best known as a founding member of Blue Öyster Cult, the original lineup sold millions of albums for Columbia Records, with such classic songs as “(Don’t Fear) the Reaper” and the #1 hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart “Burning for You.” Bouchard contributed to songwriting and lead vocals on some of its greatest songs, such as “Cites on Flame With Rock and Roll.”

Albert Bouchard is back with Imaginos III – Mutant Reformation, wrapping up the trilogy of Imaginos. Bouchard has shepherded the concept of Imaginos through its many incarnations over the years, translating Sandy Pearlman’s feverish visions into sonic resonance. As Bouchard states, “Sandy’s not being here to feel the long-awaited culmination is perhaps the greatest irony of this epic journey through the invisibility of conspiracy, the shape-shifting, and eternal light that is Desdinova. But legend lives on, as will tales told ‘round the fire of when Man still walked the Earth, and the carnage had yet to begin. Hear the final chapter in this monumental saga when the record is released on July 7, 2023.”

The first single was Bouchard’s take on the Blue Öyster Cult fan favorite “E.T.I.,” featuring brother Joe Bouchard on lead vocal, Isabella Kosal on background vocals, and R.J. Ronquillo on lead guitar.

Now Bouchard releases the second single “Transmaniacon,” featuring the current lineup of the Dictators. Bouchard had this to say, “I wanted to make a version of “Transmaniacon” that had a heavier approach, proto-metal with a punk flavor. The guys
in the new Dictators were just the group to deliver that. I know it’s a fan favorite with BÖC fans, but I hope they can appreciate it as much as the original--just like they did for
‘E.T.I.’ ”

DEKO ENTERTAINMENT PROUDLY ANNOUNCES ALBERT BOUCHARD, FOUNDING MEMBER OF BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, IS RELEASING FINAL INSTALLMENT OF THE IMAGINOS TRILOGY, IMAGINOS III – MUTANT REFORMATION

FIRST SINGLE “E.T.I.,” FEATURING JOE BOUCHARD, IS OUT NOW!

Albert Bouchard is best known as a founding member of Blue Öyster Cult, along with his brother and bassist Joe Bouchard. The original lineup sold millions of albums for Columbia Records, with such classic songs as “(Don’t Fear) the Reaper” and the #1 hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart “Burning for You.” Both Bouchards contributed to songwriting and lead vocals on some of their greatest songs, such as “Cites on Flame With Rock and Roll” and “Hot Rails to Hell.”

Hear the final chapter in this monumental saga when the record is released on July 7, 2023.”

Deko Entertainment president, Bruce Pucciarello, is a fan. He states, “This third and final installment of the Imaginos trilogy is the ending we all hoped for.  The Imaginos story is once again driven by Albert’s carefully orchestrated chronology and a passioned telling of the stories and songs.  He was on a mission.  Mission complete, Albert!”

The first single is Bouchard’s take on the Blue Öyster Cult fan favorite “E.T.I.,” featuring brother Joe Bouchard on lead vocal, Isabella Kosal on background vocals, and R.J. Ronquillo on lead guitar.

Additionally, Bouchard muses about his inspiration to create a video, “Necessity is the mother of invention, so they say. There are things in life that don’t work out as we plan. Man plans, God laughs is another saying. Be that as it is, I did my best to create a lighthearted and unusual lyric video. Yes, we could have just had the song with the static album cover like everybody else, but Ian Hunter would never go for that and I’d rather not either. The official music video will come out sometime in the future.”

ALBERT BOUCHARD, FOUNDING MEMBER OF BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, RETURNS TO THE BILLBOARD CHARTS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 32 YEARS AND ANNOUNCES VINYL VERSIONS OF “RE IMAGINOS”

Image 12-22-20 at 6.44 PM.JPG

Albert Bouchard is best known as a founding member of Blue Öyster Cult. The original line-up sold millions of albums for Columbia Records, with such classic songs as “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” and the #1 hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart “Burning For You”. Bouchard contributed to songwriting, drums, and lead vocals on some of their greatest songs, such as “Cites on Flame with Rock and Roll”.

“Re Imaginos” came out on November 6th though RockHeart Records / Deko Entertainment (ADA/Warner Music Group) and hit the Billboard Top 100 (#97), Albert’s first time back on the charts in 32 years. Due to the overwhelming demand, “Re Imaginos” is now being released as a limited-edition vinyl release. This special run comes as a double LP gatefold edition, including extended versions of “In the Presence of Another World”, “Imaginos”, “Blue Oyster Cult”, plus the bonus instrumental, “Imaginos Overture”. And if that is not enough, the album also features liner notes by Rolling Stone editor, David Fricke. This is the ultimate presentation of the unique story that is Imaginos.

Albert is very excited to bring this to the fans as he states, “This vinyl release brings the vision for ‘Imaginos’ full circle, where the songs come out as a gatefold double vinyl release with each side telling a specific part of the story. It also sounds the way that Sandy and I wanted it to sound with plenty for volume and yet, plenty of headroom too. The extended mixes take advantage of the multitude of guitar tracks that I had available and also add some extra drama to some songs (as if it was really needed). Finally, it has the long-lost version of ‘Imaginos Overture’ that was planned for the original ‘Imaginos’ record, with more contributions from Joe Bouchard, Greg Holt, RJ Ronquillo, Ross The Boss Friedman, and Ace Bouchard.” Deko Entertainment president Bruce Pucciarello adds, “Finally, delivered the way it needed to be. A spiritual, soulful journey that Albert was always meant to take us on, his way. Wonderful.”

BÖC played, as they always do, an inspired set on the second day of the Rock of Ages Festival 2016 in Seebronn, Germany. One of the band’s few appearances on German soil in the past few years, the set is now available for fans to enjoy, both with their ears and eyes, in the comfort of their own home.

The band ripped through an extremely solid and memorable performance that kicks off with "This Ain't The Summer Of Love” and closes with their evergreen hit, “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper”. In between, the band delivers with hot takes on gems like "Burnin’ For You,” "Golden Age Of Leather,” "Then Came The Last Days Of May,” and “Godzilla”.

Another unmissable gem from the band’s vault of excellent archival shows. See below for tracklisting and further information.

This new archival release comes on the heels of the band's well received new studio album, "The Symbol Remains," which was released on October 9, 2020. The album landed on the Billboard charts at #1 Current Hard Music Albums, #4 Current Rock Albums, #4 Independent Current Albums, #10 Top Current Albums, #12, Billboard Top Albums. and #192 Billboard Top 200, among others. The album also landed in the Top 50 in Germany, France, Finland, Sweden, and the UK. Fans and critics alike have embraced the band's return with new material, with Classic Rock Magazine saying "there's something for everybody on this very solid return to past glories."

In addition to the above archival release, BÖC's "A Long Day's Night" is also due for reissue. Recorded live on June 21, 2002 at the Navy Pier / Skyline Stage in Chicago, Blue Öyster Cult’s “A Long Day’s Night” celebrates, at the time, 30+ years of incredible music from the band. This release truly highlights the band's phenomenal career up until that point in time.

Originally released in 2002 on CD and DVD, “A Long Day’s Night” is now being reissued on CD/DVD, Blu-ray, and Vinyl. The audio appearing on all formats has been completely restored and remastered to achieve a stunning new listening experience. The set will be available from Frontiers Music Srl outside of North and South America.

The memorable show was captured on the release “A Long Day's Night,” so titled because it took place during the summer solstice. For two hours, guitarist/vocalists Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma, keyboardist/guitarist Allen Lanier, and their bandmates regale a revved-up crowd with Cult classics like "Burnin’ for You," "Last Days of May," "Godzilla," and, of course, "(Don't Fear) the Reaper.”

ALBERT BOUCHARD, FOUNDING MEMBER OF BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, RELEASES NEW VIDEO FOR “BLUE OYSTER CULT”

Albert Bouchard - Blue Oyster Cult | RockHeart Records/Deko Entertainment Re Imaginos is out everywhere tomorrow! Order now: https://www.merchbucket.com/coll...

THE SECOND SINGLE FROM THE “RE IMAGINOS” ALBUM OUT EVERYWHERE NOVEMBER 6TH.

Contributing to songwriting, drums, and lead vocals on some of their greatest songs, such as “Cites on Flame with Rock and Roll”.

“Re Imaginos” is out on November 6th through he and his brother’s (Joe Bouchard) new imprint label, RockHeart Records / Deko Entertainment (ADA/Warner Music Group). Critics are already embracing Albert’s reimagining of the 1988 Blue Öyster Cult release, “Imaginos”.

Albert Bouchard’s ‘Re Imaginos’ elevates the piece to a higher level….you are sucked into the master songwriting talent that is Bouchard….This is a great album and worthy of a place in anyone’s collection, not just BÖC’s fans.
Metal Talk

Here is what Albert had to say about the second single and video “Blue Oyster Cult”, “Blue Oyster Cult was a poem that Sandy Pearlman wrote in the late 60s. When Blue Oyster Cult was finalizing our recording contract with Columbia Records we took the poem as our band name. Eric Bloom put Sandy’s poem to music on our third album, Secret Treaties. This version is different from that but very similar to the version I created for the original Imaginos album in 1988. It tells the story of a sailor who has been put ashore and is discovered by the Blue Oyster Cult, non-human beings who nurse Imaginos back to health and give him a mission to find the mysterious black mirror, hidden deep in the jungles of the Yucatan peninsula.”

Also to celebrate the launch of RockHeart Records and the release of “Re Imaginos”, the Bouchard brothers are offering a limited amount of the official RockHeart Records Cowbell autographed personally by both Joe and Albert.

Albert’s infamous cowbell part in “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” was the basis of the classic Will Ferrell skit on SNL, which also starred Christopher Walken. With “The Reaper,” an all-time classic on YouTube and every other digital platform, with zillions of views, the Bouchard brothers are forever cemented in pop culture.

As Albert explains, “Most BOC fans know at this point that ‘Imaginos’ was supposed to be my solo album. Some people think it’s the best BOC album, others think it’s not a ‘true’ BOC album. In either case, they’re right. I made this new album for them so that they can hear a more properly realized version of the tale."

“Black Telescope” is the first single and video and tells the story of an undead creature that takes the form of a fish and now uses alchemy to rule the solar system. This being sees with the power of the mind and does not need eyes.

It was more ordinary and needed the help of technology to rule the world in the past, at a time when it was in the shape of a human sailor and knew the dangers of the deep. When the sailor went to the telescope workshop he experienced a strange rebirth and became an all-powerful force.

'THAT WAS ME' VIDEO FEATURES SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE

TAKEN FROM UPCOMING NEW ALBUM, "THE SYMBOL REMAINS'

As previously announced, Blue Öyster Cult will release their first new album in nearly two decades, "The Symbol Remains" on October 9, 2020. Today, the band has released a music video for the single 'That Was Me'

Fans can hear another new song, 'Box In My HeadHEREhttps://youtu.be/Ggj8AI_Woo0 and/or on their favorite digital music service.

The album will be available on CD, 2xLP, Limited Edition Color 2xLP, and Digital formats. Pre-order/save HERE: https://orcd.co/symbolremains

As the old saying goes, “good things come to those who wait” and the 14 songs showcased on "The Symbol Remains" embody that. The BÖC faithful will be delighted given that the band has delivered an extremely inspired album. Ultimately, this sounds like a band looking back at their storied catalog and giving the fans a bit of everything they’ve ever loved about BÖC, while simultaneously continuing to evolve.

Blue Öyster Cult started sessions for the new album in earnest in 2019, bringing songs to the table that had previously been in the works as well as working on new ones. The goal was to craft an album that gives an appropriate portrait of where the band is in the here and now.

"With the song demos emerging for this record, we realized there was as much if not more variety in style and content on this record as any in our history,” tells Eric Bloom "We embraced this and the thing tying all the disparate elements together is the band’s sound and performance."

"The goal was for the new music to stand up to the quality and vitality of our legacy recordings, and I believe we have successfully done that,” adds Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser. “Other than that, the sound of our voices and style of our writing and playing can’t help but sound familiar to fans of our work."

“The album title, “The Symbol Remains” comes from a quote of an old Sandy Pearlman lyric, which basically we are using to show that the band is back and still rocking after all these years. To me, it means we’re still here and doing what we do...” explains Eric Bloom.

As fans well know, Bloom and Roeser are the two steadfast members remaining from the “classic" lineup of the band, but Jules Radino, Danny Miranda, and Richie Castellano are all long time members. Their constant touring has truly caused them to gel as a unit and you can hear it in the performances on “The Symbol Remains”. Jules, Danny, and Richie here have left their mark on the 50+ years of Blue Öyster Cult history.

"We wanted to record the current band’s lineup for some time and the result of Jules, Danny, Richie, Eric and myself giving our all on “The Symbol Remains” speaks for itself,” says Buck Dharma.

While the current world situation caused some distress, the band is still very happy with the final result. "The Covid-19 lockdown slowed the completion of the record. We were prevented from traveling and collaborating in person. But luckily we had already done the basic tracks. We resorted to video conferencing and producing each other over the internet. Fortunately, the technology exists at this moment in time to do that. The live performance cancellations gave us a little more time to carefully consider the finishing touches. We also sent the album out to be mixed by Tom Lord-Alge and we worked together over the internet on that as well,” adds Buck Dharma.

Formed on Long Island at the end of the '60s, Blue Öyster Cult are best known for their massive singles "(Don't Fear) The Reaper," "Burnin' for You," and "Godzilla." Riff-heavy and head-banging while intelligently hook-laden, the band remains a constant touring presence and as relevant as ever. Pioneering the heavy metal style while providing inspiration to psychedelic jam bands and arena rockers alike, genre-benders Blue Öyster Cult is a widely respected classic rock band with a storied catalog., The band has been covered by everyone from Metallica and HIM to moe, which showcases the wide ranging influence of their music.
