About BEYOND THE BLACK:
German Symphonic Metal ascending stars BEYOND THE BLACK can already look back across a stratospherically successful career, despite their youthful years. Upon release, their 2015 debut album hit like a bomb in their home country. Songs Of Love And Death besieged the German Top 15 for weeks, which led to the band being awarded the Metal Hammer Award for “Best Debut” in 2015. Its successor Lost In Forever (2016) entered the German charts at #4 and paved the way for a huge tour throughout Germany and across countries like the UK, Russia, and Japan. Since the band’s live debut in 2014, they have played some of the world’s biggest Metal festivals like Wacken Open Air (several times) and have toured as support to heavyweights such as AEROSMITH, KORN, SCORPIONS, SAXON, and WITHIN TEMPTATION. During the campaign for their third record Heart Of the Hurricane (2018), BEYOND THE BLACK landed their first-ever European headline tour, which took them across 10 countries, with most dates selling out.

Before they’d even finished the Heart Of the Hurricane touring cycle, BEYOND THE BLACK had already gone back to the studio to write and record album number four. The result was Horizons, released in June 2020, which entered the German album charts at #3 (CH #6, AT #16, BE #53) marking the band’s most successful album release to date.

Now, two years later, BEYOND THE BLACK are back to launch a new chapter. Following the release of recently highly acclaimed tracks 'Reincarnation', 'Is There Anybody Out There', 'Winter Is Coming' and 'Dancing In The Dark', the band released their new, fifth studio album – the self-titled Beyond the Black on January 13th, 2023!

BEYOND THE BLACK - RELEASE NEW PIANO VERSION OF 'WIDE AWAKE'

After the release of their very successful self-titled album Beyond The Black, which was released in January 2023 the band now shares the brand new piano version of the song 'Wide Awake'. The piano version of 'Wide Awake' is the perfect song to start the pre-Christmas time and gets you in the right mood. Their highly-anticipated Dancing In The Dark tour starts in April 2024.

Jennifer Haben comments:
"The piano version of 'Wide Awake' is something very special, because the song's creation process began with piano and vocals. I love that this pure, almost naked version, as it originally was, can now be heard by everyone. The song couldn't feel more personal to me."

New Album Hørizøns Out Now!

On Co-Headline Tour With Amaranthe Spring 2021! Order Hørizøns HERE

Today, symphonic metal outfit BEYOND THE BLACK presents their new single, “Humans”, off their new album, Hørizøns - out now via Napalm Records.

“Human” features an almost daunting glimpse at the future, but also symbolizes the sophistication of another modern and equally gloomy melodic rock piece. Their new singleis a flagship example of bittersweet yet strong melodies merging with dystopian narratives. Delicate guitar lines blend with Jennifer Haben's remarkable, strong voice and ascend to a powerful epos of self-autonomy. Along with an artful, suspenseful and reflective music video, BEYOND THE BLACK take their audience on a journey through the range between melodic mellifluousness and uncompromising energetic rock fragments. The symphonic combo questions the essence of life and immerses the audiovisual in a gritty atmosphere of the fabled beginning of mankind. Convince yourself with their freshly released full-length Hørizøns – proving that the quintet is remaining and re-inventing themselves at the same time!

Jennifer Haben on Hørizøns:

„More than one year of hard work, blood, sweat and tears was put into this album. Hørizøns became an enormous part of our lives and it’s hard to find the right words to describe what this release means to us. We are more than ready to go and start this new BEYOND THE BLACK journey. This is going to be huge!"

Order Hørizøns NOW:

The quintet unbolts their unequalled, differentiated spectra of symphonic and melodic rock spiced with sonorous melodious metal soundscapes in 13 manifold songs. The album kicks off with its heavy, yet atmospheric title track, spanning the range of intumescent soundscapes and Jennifer Haben’s crystal clear, striking vocals. Beautiful yet strong harmonies, emotional storytelling and powerful vocal lines weave throughout “Wounded Healer” (feat. Elize Ryd of Amaranthe) and will light your way in gloomy times. Dark subliminal grooves coalesce with harmonizing guitar lines and form the prevailing nexus of “Human” and its unmistakably catchy chorus. Another facet rises with “You Are Not Alone”, which is dominated by electronic influences as well as symphonic sounding violins. Hørizøns’ atmospherically dark harshness creates the stylistic bow over the distinctive melodic rock meets pop sound in symbiosis with fragile yet strong fragments. The charismatic outfit persuades with a rousing, emotional clout and their strong, confident message of self-assertion.

Next year will get thrilling: BEYOND THE BLACK joins forces with modern melodic metal standouts Amaranthe to kick off their joint co-headline tour, to spread the news of a new metal generation across the continent.

BEYOND THE BLACK Releases New Single and Lyric Video for “Golden Pariahs”

New Album Hørizøns To Be Released On June 19th!

On Co-Headline Tour With Amaranthe This Winter 2020!

Pre-Order Hørizøns HERE

Today symphonic metal outfit BEYOND THE BLACK presents their new single, “Golden Pariahs”, off their upcoming album, Hørizøns, to be released via Napalm Records on June 19, 2020.

An echoing symbiosis of brutal drums and major electronic influences inflames the quintessence of “Golden Pariahs”: Their new epos explodes in an intoxicating fusion of Jennifer Haben’s striking, exceptional vocals, highly-clocked drums and another facet of the quintet’s multifarious spectra. BEYOND THE BLACK rises with sonorous, energetic severity and bittersweet elements. The vigorous soundscape is coupled with the song’s strong message and sets the characteristic sign to fight, even in dark times. BEYOND THE BLACK prove their versatile musical identity once again and that the modern blend of melodic rock and metal is flowing through their veins.

Golden Pariahs” is a high voltage stunner and a melodic hymn for all the erroneously underdogs to defeat their inner demons. Pull us under, hear the thunder!

Jennifer Haben on the new album:

“With 2019 having been the biggest year in our career as a band so far, we were thrilled and anxious to get back to the studio and start writing again – not just to make up to the fast and amazing development that has happened in the band since our last album, but to pin this development down also musically for everyone to hear and see. Hørizøns is unmistakably a BEYOND THE BLACK album, but with so many new facets and personality adding up to the classic BEYOND THE BLACK ID that make it a true band-album. For us this has definitely been a walk on the tightrope and we feel to have it accomplished to its fullest. Without beating around the bush, we can say that we're extremely proud and confident that Hørizøns is the best BEYOND THE BLACK album to date.“

The female fronted quintet unbolts their unequalled, differentiated spectra of symphonic and melodic rock spiced with sonorous melodious metal soundscapes in 13 manifold songs. The album kicks off with its heavy, yet atmospheric title track, spanning the range of intumescent soundscapes and Jennifer Haben’s crystal clear, striking vocals. Beautiful yet strong harmonies, emotional storytelling and powerful vocal lines weave throughout “Wounded Healer” (feat. Elize Rhyde off Amaranthe) and will light your way in gloomy times. Dark subliminal grooves coalesce with harmonizing guitar lines and form the prevailing nexus of “Human” and it’s unmistakably catchy chorus. The charismatic outfit persuades with a rousing, emotional clout and their strong, confident message off self-assertion.
