The Pretty Wild Unleash New Track "Omens" + Official Music Video via Sumerian Records

Rising metaphysical metalcore powerhouse The Pretty Wild has today unleashed their powerful new track "Omens" and the accompanying visualizer, with an official music video to follow (via Sumerian Records). When asked about the track, Jylshared:

"'OMENS' is an anthem for those done performing. Our song calls out the masks we all are subconsciously conditioned to wear to survive in life and the tragic loops they lead us into. It's about finally choosing inner truth over applause, and the painful realization that to find true coherence, the mask must be ripped off, along with the life, lies, and illusions built around it.”

Prior to today, The Pretty Wild first released the official "sLeepwALKeR" music video through their new label home, which climbed theTikTok Viral Music Charts to #43 with over 15k organic creations on the platform. The sister duo next shared "Button Eyes" which is now at Active Rock radio. Together, the tracks have already amassed a staggering 11.7 million streams across streaming platformswith nearly 700k views on YouTube. The Pretty Wild also joined forces with Kittie and Diamante to release an emotionally gripping cover of Metallica's "The Unforgiven" for the 'Queen of the Ring' official motion picture soundtrack. Wind Walkers Drop New Track "The End Aesthetic" + Official Music Video With New Record Label Home Fearless Records

It's a great day to be a Wind Walkers fan! Today, the genre-blending metalcore powerhouse made their triumphant return with their new single "The End Aesthetic" (produced by Nick Matzkows and Jon Eberhard) and the official music video. Furthermore, Wind Walkers announced signing with their new label home, Fearless Records. When asked about the inspiration behind today's track, the band shared:

I think that lyrically this song ended up being a lot more self-observant than I had intended it to be. I started with the chorus which is more of an outward projection, expressing the feeling that everyone is hiding something about themselves. Whether that be hidden anxieties, fears, or vices. As I wrote more, this song kind evolved into something that looked more inward. It talks about my own issues with numbing to distract myself from how sick the world is and asks the question, “Was our environment designed to make us feel this way?

Stream "The End Aesthetic" at the link here, and watch the music video  below.

Coinciding with today's release is the band kicking off their tour alongside Memphis May Fire, Caskets, and Elijah on The Shapeshifter Tour beginning tonight in Little Rock, Arkansas, and performing at fan-favorite festivals Sonic Temple and Welcome To Rockville. Accompanying today's release is the visceral official music video showcasing the band's electrifying energy they bring to their live performances. Today's drop leads to the grand opening of The Museum Of Failure with the release of the band's highly-anticipated forthcoming album 'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven' out on Friday, May 16. When asked about the inspiration behind the track, vocalist Carson Pace shared:

"There have been countless times in my life where I have felt married to my passion. It’s been detrimental, painful, and has forced me to sacrifice a normal life. This song is me committing to being married to that passion, regardless of the consequences. It’s less a spit in the face of normality, and more a love letter to my own band."

The journey through The Museum Of Failure began with the visceral, full-force energy of "Two-Headed Trout/The Demon of Unreality Limping Like A Dog", followed by the striking reveal of "Lemon", where pop harmonies danced with heaviness. ABOUT THE CALLOUS DAOBOYS

A fearlessly free-spirited collective from Atlanta, Georgia, The Callous Daoboys revels in high-strung extremity, careening from furious metal cacophony to unabashed rock 'n roll and back again. The band Kerrang! hails as “gloriously chaotic” is like a Molotov cocktail combining extreme metal and nü-metal with life-affirming glee, as each song deliriously swerves across stylistic lines.

The Callous Daoboys are frontman Carson Pace, possessed like a young Mike Patton; fretboard-abusing guitarists Maddie Caffrey and Daniel Hodsdon; frantic bassist Jackie Buckalew; destructive drummer Matthew Hague; and spirited violinist Amber Christman

Celebrated by SPINFaderRevolverBrooklyn Vegan, and New Noise (who praised the band as “innovative, unflinching, brazen”), The Callous Daoboys have turned heads on raucous tours with TesseracTProtest The Hero, and SeeYouSpaceCowboy, and at prestigious international metal festivals. Celebrity Therapist (2022) more than delivered on the promise of the band’s early rumblings. I Don’t Want to See You in Heaven (2025) ups the ante on every conceivable level. The album was produced by Dom Maduri (Silly Goose, GEL, Bummer Hill).

The Callous Daoboys resurrect noise rock as if they’re summoning the dead. Sure, every band claims to blend heavy riffs with catchy melodies as if that’s somehow fresh by itself, but this crew delivers that with a wrecking ball of unrestrained frenzy and total mayhem. The band’s three full-length albums and various EPs loudly testify to their fearless creativity and clever craftsmanship. - Ryan Downey

The Callous Daoboys Drops New Track "Lemon" + Official Music Video (via MNRK Heavy)

Atlanta, GA sextet The Callous Daoboys invite you further into The Museum Of Failure by unveiling a new exhibit with their latest track "Lemon" and the accompanying music video, taken from their hotly-anticipated forthcoming album 'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven' out on May 16 via MNRK Heavy. Prior to today, patrons were welcomed with the exciting first artifact "Two-Headed Trout/The Demon of Unreality Limping Like A Dog" and the cinematic official video. Today's reveal illuminates another facet of the band's signature ability to shapeshift boundaries between genres, blending the weight of heavy music with refreshing pop sensibility while preserving their raw, straight-from-the-heart authenticity. Speaking about "Lemon", vocalist Carson Pace commented:

Some people are going to love this one, some people are going to hate this one, it’s just the reality of things. "Lemon" represents every frustration that you’ve ever had with a judgmental lover who wants you to give up on your art. "Lemon" says ‘fuck that, you didn’t love me anyway.'

Witness "Lemon" by letting your eyes feast upon the official music video at the link below, examine the audio intricacies by streaming at the link here, and RSVP by pre-ordering 'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven' here.

Having wrapped up their EU/UK run with Silverstein, The Callous Daoboys will pick back up in North America on the 20 Years of All's Well That Ends Well tour on March 21, with Chiodos, Hawthorne Heights, and Emmure. Following several support dates alongside Beartooth in late April and May, the band will then bring the heat to the newly-announced Unhinged Festival on July 26 and on the Coheed and Cambria S.S. The Native Howl Announce US Headliner In Support Of Latest Album 'Sons Of Destruction'

Thrash Grass" pioneers The Native Howl have announced their US headlining run in support of their latest album, 'Sons Of Destruction' (out via Sumerian Records), with outlaw alt-folk group Tejon Street Corner Thieves as direct support. The tour kicks off on Thursday, June 6 in Detroit, Michigan and wraps in Chicago, Illinois later in the month. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 14 at 10 am local time, so be sure to get yours at the link here before it's too late.

ABOUT THE NATIVE HOWL

The Native Howl is a genre-defying quartet hailing from Leonard, Michigan, USA. Their fast-tempo music they’ve coined as “Thrash Grass” combines the aggression and intensity of thrash metal with the precision and melodicism of bluegrass. The band was born from a musical experiment that defied all expectations by blending elements of folk, bluegrass, rock, and metal, resulting in a sound entirely their own. With a dash of outlaw spirit and a touch of the wilderness, their music transports listeners to a sonic landscape where the traditional meets the contemporary. From foot-stomping bluegrass jams to lightning-fast metal-esque banjo picking, their tracks are a musical thrill ride that keeps the listener guessing with each note. Their lyrics often explore the dark sides of the human condition, nature, and the trials of life, creating a deep and personal connection with their audience.

The Pretty Wild Release New Track "Button Eyes" and Official Video via Sumerian Records

Rising metaphysical metalcore powerhouse The Pretty Wild have unleashed their new track "Button Eyes" and the official music video via their new label home, Sumerian Records. The sister duo previously released their smash hit "sLeepwALkeR"which has already surpassed 5.6 million Spotify streams, with the official video already amassing 381k views on YouTube. Most recently, The Pretty Wild joined forces with Kittie and Diamante on the 'Queen Of The Ring' official movie soundtrack for their haunting reimagination of Metallica's legendary classic, "The Unforgiven", available on all streaming platforms at the link here. Speaking about "Button Eyes", the band shares:

"This song is for anyone who’s ever felt objectified, used or controlled. It’s about the moment you consciously break free from manipulation and you sever ties with that toxicity for good. We used dolls as a vessel for this theme, mostly as a way to blend playful melodies and imagery in a way that lightens a heavy conversation topic." - jules

"'Button Eyes' explores the theme of disillusionment with life and the process of reclaiming personal power. The song cheekily pokes at the painful process of breaking free from the misleading beliefs that held us back and stepping into our truth. Essentially empowering ourselves by rejecting disempowering narratives that were imposed upon us. Personally, I love this one because it comes across fun, poppy, and superficial, but the irony in it, is that it’s the juxtaposition of all that at its core." -jyl

The Callous Daoboys Announce New Album 'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven' out May 16 (via MNRK Heavy)

Atlanta, GA sextet The Callous Daoboys cordially invites you to The Museum of Failure, a sonic exploration of the band's newly announced album 'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven', with a grand opening date of May 16 (via MNRK Heavy).'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven' is the follow-up to the band's 2022 critically acclaimed full-length 'Celebrity Therapist' and 2023 EP 'God Smiles Upon The Callous Daoboys', nominated for 'Best Heavy Record' in the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) Libera Awards 2024. In their most personal album yet, listeners are welcomed 300 years into the future to such a place where mankind's farcical attempts at immortalizing greatness are on full display, including each of the 13 tracks on the album. However, such artifacts beg the question whether these were simply ahead of their time, or rightfully discarded by patrons?

Today's glimpse inside reveals the first exhibit, "Two-Headed Trout/The Demon of Unreality Limping Like A Dog", along with the official cinematic music video. When asked about the inspiration behind the forthcoming album, vocalist Carson Pace shared:

The album is an artifact that’s been preserved, and hundreds of years in the future, you’re listening to this album in the museum. It’s a known failure, but the narrative is ‘if it survives forever, is it truly a failure?'

“Everything is very singular and personal. I’m not making an album commenting on anything societal or political this time, this is an album just for me. It’s every emotion I’ve felt and sobering thought since 2021. I can only make this album now, not in three years when I’m thirty, not ten years ago when I was seventeen. This is the snapshot of 24-27. A scrapbook of trial and error, or better yet, a Museum of Failure.

Speaking about "Two-Headed Trout/The Demon of Unreality Limping Like A Dog", Pace commented:

We would like to proudly present our first preview of the 'I Don’t Want to See You in Heaven' collection, ahead of its full release. These two pieces do not represent a thesis or mission statement of the collection, but rather two extremities. If you’re a fan of us being a rock band, I have good news for you. If you’re a fan of us being a chaotic metalcore band, I have GREAT news for you. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Enjoy.

Pre-order 'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven' here to RSVP, take an audio tour of "Two-Headed Trout/The Demon of Unreality Limping Like A Dog" by streaming at the link here, and observe the official music video below.

HANABIE. Release New Track "Tasty Survivor" (via Sony Music Japan) Featured On 'Momentarily Lily' Anime Streaming Now on Crunchyroll

Harajuku-core trailblazers HANABIE. are kicking off 2025 deliciously with their new track "Tasty Survivor"(via Sony Music Japan). Today's release is the featured ending theme song for the new anime series 'Momentarily Lily' streaming now on Crunchyroll, with an official music video coming soon. Speaking about the track, vocalist Yukina commented:

"This is our very first tie-in with an anime, and we wrote this track specifically for it! The song reflects the world and characters of Momentary Lily while also capturing the essence of our band life. From the intense “eat or be eaten” vibe of live band battles to the exhilarating build-up toward the chorus, it mirrors the way we warm up for a live show and the anticipation of listeners heading to the venue.

We hope this song becomes a source of energy for everyone living their lives to the fullest all over the world."

Guitarist and vocalist Matsuri shared:

"For our first-ever anime tie-in, we focused on blending the world of Momentary Lily with HANABIE.'s unique style. The result is a track that’s bold and straight-forward, yet carries a touch of fragility. The intensity of the intro, in particular, was inspired by the anime’s battle scenes, so we’d love it if you pay close attention to every detail. There were so many connections between HANABIE. and the characters of Momentary Lily, and we poured all those emotions into the lyrics. We hope you enjoy every aspect of the song, from the lyrics to the music, down to the smallest nuances!"

Bassist Hetsu added:

"This is HANABIE.’s long-awaited anime tie-in song!

We expressed the story of the girls in the anime in true HANABIE. style—it's pop, fast-paced, and features an incredibly catchy chorus that perfectly matches the battle scenes. We think it’s going to be addictively fun!

The bass line is also super catchy and intense, so make sure to pay attention to that as well.

We hope you’ll enjoy the song together with the anime! ♪"

HANABIE. drummer Chika also commented:

"This is our first-ever anime tie-in, and we had the honor of creating the opening theme for Momentary Lily. While keeping the anime in mind, we also made sure to stay true to HANABIE.'s signature style.

One of the key highlights in the drums is right before the first chorus—a section where the kick drum is hit eight times in a row. It’s a small but powerful detail, inspired by the dynamic and intense battle scenes, as if representing a flurry of attacks.

Just like the anime, this track is full of highs and lows, and we hope it gets your heart racing with excitement as you listen!"

Prior to today, the quartet released their banger "Ito Okashi My Type" from their new EP 'Bucchigiri Tokyo' available now on all streaming platforms, and announced a massive North American co-headlining run with alternative artist Kim Dracula beginning in March 2025. The band has also just announced their EU/UK Fall headlining tour beginning in late October. The band's latest offering "Pretend" speaks to the callous nature of modern society, kicking off with a head-first dive of driving guitar riffs and powerful rhythm. Closely following the dynamic intro, hushed verses of nearly-whispered lyrics laced with ominous electronic tones lull listeners into a sense of precarious safety before a rousing crescendo lifts into the chorus. Crowned with frontman Landon Tewers’ signature vocal control and all-encompassing emotional expression, Pretend warns against the present-day tendency to choose false, blissful ignorance over contending with the horrors plaguing the world.

Sumerian Records Release 'American Psycho' Comic Series Soundtrack

Sumerian Records have today released the 'American Psycho' Comic Series Soundtrack, available now on all streaming platforms at the link HERE. Exclusive vinyl is also available for purchase at the Sumerian Records Merch Store HERE.

In celebration of the release, Weathers has dropped their new, original song from the soundtrack "Killer", produced and co-written by Max Urasky (Maggie Lindemann, Siiickbrain) and No Love For the Middle Child (Travis Barker, Grandson), co-produced and mixed by Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Pantera). Stream "Killer" HERE and watch the official video  below.

Speaking about the track, Weathers vocalist Cameron Boyer shared:

'Killer' explores a dying relationship where you have been framed as a toxic villain, so you set out to kill this connection before falling victim to it, all the while, you just can’t help but still love them... We are also flattered to be among the many talented and established artists on the soundtrack. American Psycho is a movie we all love very much so we couldn’t help recalling so many of its iconic scenes during this whole process.

President of Sumerian Comics, Nathan Yocum, commented:

"We’re thrilled to put out the full American Psycho Comic Series soundtrack today, a vibrant release shaped by some of the most talented artists in the industry today. This project captures the spirit of creative collaboration, with each track amplifying the energy and atmosphere of American Psycho in bold, unexpected ways. It’s not just a soundtrack—it’s an immersive experience that pulls listeners deeper into the dark, electrifying world this series creates."

The 'American Psycho' comic book series by Sumerian Comics is a bold reimagining of Patrick Bateman’s notorious saga. The five-issue series delves into a dual storyline format; one tracing the chilling exploits of Bateman, and the other introducing a contemporary narrative featuring Charlene Carruthers—a social media-savvy millennial whose descent into violence mirrors the chilling escalation of her predecessor. This innovative take reinterprets the iconic tale with a story written by Michael Calero (Quested), vivid artwork by Piotr Kowalski (The Witcher, Bloodborne, Sex) and striking colors by Brad Simpson (Kong of Skull Island, Stray Dogs, Blade Runner Origins).

Today's release joins previously released tracks from the likes of Diamante putting her iconic spin on Pat Benatar's "Love Is A Battlefield", Gvllow featuring Mothica who breathed new life into Billy Idol's "Eyes Without A Face", Charlotte Sands who dropped a massive cover of AFI's smash-hit "Miss Murder"Royal & The Serpent who tackled Leadbelly classic "Where Did You Sleep Last Night", Carpenter Brut feat. Kristoffer Rygg who also released a cover of Billy Idol's "Eyes Without A Face", Ice Nine Kills feat. Reel Big Fish, who gave the Katrina and The Waves smash hit, "Walking On Sunshine" the ska punk treatment, Puscifer, who recorded a brand new, original single, "The Algorithm" for the comic book series, Unlike Pluto who covered Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams", Perturbator, who covered "Dangerous" by Depeche Mode and Ramsey, who covered Leadbelly's "Where Did You Sleep Last Night". Between them, the previously released tracks have racked up over 5.8 million streams with current sales for the comic book series topping 80,000 units.

When asked about the cover, Diamante shared:

Since I can remember, I have always been a huge fan of songs from the 80s, especially of the female powerhouse vocalists of that time. In particular, Pat Benatar has always been a hero of mine, and I love nothing more than a good challenge. So for me, recording this version of "Love Is a Battlefield" was a lifelong dream come true.

Speaking about the soundtrack, President of Sumerian Comics, Nathan Yocum, also commented:

"We are beyond excited to present this soundtrack as a true celebration of music and storytelling, brought together by some of the most talented and dynamic artists in the industry today. Kublai Khan TX Unleash New Album 'Exhibition Of Prowess' via Rise Records + Release "Mud" Visualizer

Texan titans Kublai Khan TX have released their new album 'Exhibition Of Prowess' (via Rise Records), the band's fifth album and first full-length since 2019's 'Absolute'. In celebration of the release, the quartet dropped the official visualizer for their track "Mud" taken from the album. Speaking about the track, vocalist Matt Hunnycutt commented:

"'Mud' is the scissors slowly closing in on the final thread keeping sanity intact. Entrenched and trapped with nowhere to go but deeper underground. Reflections and thoughts mirroring a man’s will to survive in a world obsessed with extinction. Low-tech, primordial soundwaves. Sludge-covered, sun-blistered frequencies of war and peace. "Mud" is mankind."

Leading up to today, the quartet released "Theory Of Mind", "Low Tech" and most recently, "Supreme Ruler" which altogether have clocked up over 15 million streams and counting on Spotify and 2.5 million views on YouTube. VOLA Release New Track "Cannibal" featuring Anders Fridén of In Flames (via Mascot Records)

Today, VOLA revealed their pulverizing new single, "Cannibal," which features In Flames’ Anders Fridén on vocals. The song is taken from their upcoming album, 'Friend Of A Phantom,' which will be released on November 1 via Mascot Records. You can watch the official video below, which also features Anders Fridén.

Talking about the song, the band says, "VOLA's music is heavily shaped by melodic death metal, so having Anders Fridén from the legendary In Flames featured on 'Cannibal' is a dream come true for us. We feel truly fortunate and are enormously proud of the result."

Anders Fridén explains how he got involved with the song, saying, "I have been a fan of VOLA since their first album. They are constantly evolving and, to me, are one of the most interesting bands out right now." He continues, "During the recording of our last album, I had the opportunity to meet the band and witness an incredible show at The Troubadour in LA. Cut to a few months later, I was approached if I would be interested in being on a song for their next album. It was a yes without hesitation. It's an honor to be part of this monster of a song. Bang your head if you know what's good for you!"

VOLA elaborated on how the collaboration and song came about: "When we toured North America in the fall of 2023, Anders and Björnfrom In Flames attended our concert at The Troubadour in Los Angeles. They came backstage before the show to chat with us, and it turned out they were big fans of the band. Quite a surreal experience, given that In Flames have played a huge part in forming our musical DNA. When we came home from the tour, we dug deep into recording 'Friend Of A Phantom', and during that process, we began discussing whether "Cannibal" would benefit from having guest vocals. We all agreed that having some really powerful screams in there would elevate the song, and having just created a bond with Anders meant that it was the easiest decision in the world to ask him if he wanted to be a part of the track. Anders quickly said yes to participate, and eventually, he both recorded vocals and came to Denmark to shoot the video with us. We were thrilled, to say the least!"

The song marries the euphoric and epic but complex and crushing sound that has become distinctively VOLA with a visually stunning video to accompany the song. "Working with Vertigo and Riivata Visuals on the music video was incredible,” they add. “We filmed the video in a gigantic hall in Denmark, with plenty of big lights and lasers, including a large triangle light at the back of the hall. To top it all off, Anders came to Denmark to join us and be part of the video. It was a fantastic experience, and the footage captured the heavy side of VOLA in its essence."

They have already released three singles from the album. "Paper Wolf" sees an old-school metal atmosphere creep into their blend of sounds. "Break My Lying Tongue" offers a deep dive into themes of misalignment and emotional vulnerability, whereas the most recent single, I Don't Know How We Got Here, interweaves stories about tragic events in society with a story about a relationship slowly dying out. "It seeks to portray the feeling of disbelief that follows when something valuable vanishes right in front of us," explains Asger Mygind.

It has been three years since the release of VOLA's defining album, 'Witness.' They've since wrapped up two tours of the US with several venues upgraded due to overwhelming demand, as well as sold-out shows in New York, L.A., and Chicago. Their first tour of Canada resulted in sold-out shows in Toronto and Montreal, and they rounded off the continent with triumphant South American shows in Mexico, Brazil, and a sold-out show in Chile. The Danish-Swedish quartet - Asger Mygind (vocals/guitar), Martin Werner (keys), Nicolai Mogensen (bass), and Adam Janzi (drums) - are now to set free their fourth studio album. Their strength has always been combining a multitude of ideas within a single song, packing it in with a grandiose power that can be as ferocious as it can be delicate.
