Swollen Teeth have today unleashed their emotionally charged new single "Foster" and the accompanying music video (via Blowed Out Records). Amidst punishing grooves and haunting melodic tension, the track highlights an often overlooked topic in modern heavy music: the importance of a safe home, particularly for children. Today's release is taken from the band's forthcoming new album 'Ask Nothing', out on Friday, September 5 and produced by legendary producer Ross Robinson (Korn, Glassjaw, At The Drive In) and Slipknot's Sid Wilson. When asked about the inspiration behind "Foster", the band commented:

Wind Walkers Release New Music Video "Eating My Heart Out" (via Fearless Records),

Genre-blending metalcore outfit Wind Walkers have today released the official music video for their poignant new track "Eating My Heart Out" (via Fearless Records), directed by Alex Kouvatsos at Blackwolf Imaging. Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, vocalist Trevor Borg commented:

"This song captures the guilt, feeling of distance and identity conflict that comes with life as a musician and being on the road. You can feel such a divide in identity, having to be what your career needs and who your family needs at the same time. I’m sure this song will resonate with people dealing with turmoil in a relationship, but I truly wrote this song to be a portrait of guilt in having uncertain dreams, with the intent to resonate with other artists and people who share the same conflicts. I also intended for it to serve as a message to the fans and lovers of music about the sacrifices that go into the art form they hold so dear to their heart."

Gideon Announce Signing With Sumerian Records + Drops New Track "Til the Wheels Fall Off"

Tuscaloosa, Alabama quartet Gideon have today announced signing with their new label home, Sumerian Records. In celebration of the news, the band released their new banger "Til the Wheels Fall Off" with an official music video coming soon. When asked about the signing and new music, the band commented:

Harajuku-core trailblazers HANABIE. are bringing the heat on their new single "Spicy Queen" and the official music video (via Sony Music Japan). Taking inspiration from experiences on their recent US co-headlining tour with Kim Dracula, today's release is in celebration of the band's 10-year anniversary and is a counterpart to the fan-favorite track "We love sweets". When asked about "Spicy Queen", vocalist Yukina commented:

"The song 'WE LOVE SWEETS,' which we released in 2021, has become a gateway track for listeners to discover our music. It’s a very meaningful track for us. As time has passed and we have matured, we thought, “Let’s make a spicy version of the song!” during our tour. Inspired by the famous “Nashville Hot Chicken”, we decided to create this new rendition that features a spicy and stimulating musical progression. It's a great day to be a Wind Walkers fan! Today, the genre-blending metalcore powerhouse made their triumphant return with their new single "The End Aesthetic" (produced by Nick Matzkows and Jon Eberhard) and the official music video. Furthermore, Wind Walkers announced signing with their new label home, Fearless Records. When asked about the inspiration behind today's track, the band shared:

“I think that lyrically this song ended up being a lot more self-observant than I had intended it to be. I started with the chorus which is more of an outward projection, expressing the feeling that everyone is hiding something about themselves. Whether that be hidden anxieties, fears, or vices. As I wrote more, this song kind evolved into something that looked more inward. It talks about my own issues with numbing to distract myself from how sick the world is and asks the question, “Was our environment designed to make us feel this way?”

Atlanta, GA sextet The Callous Daoboys cordially invites you to The Museum of Failure, a sonic exploration of the band's newly announced album 'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven', with a grand opening date of May 16 (via MNRK Heavy).'I Don't Want to See You in Heaven' is the follow-up to the band's 2022 critically acclaimed full-length 'Celebrity Therapist' and 2023 EP 'God Smiles Upon The Callous Daoboys', nominated for 'Best Heavy Record' in the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) Libera Awards 2024. In their most personal album yet, listeners are welcomed 300 years into the future to such a place where mankind's farcical attempts at immortalizing greatness are on full display, including each of the 13 tracks on the album. However, such artifacts beg the question whether these were simply ahead of their time, or rightfully discarded by patrons?

“The album is an artifact that’s been preserved, and hundreds of years in the future, you’re listening to this album in the museum. It’s a known failure, but the narrative is ‘if it survives forever, is it truly a failure?'

“Everything is very singular and personal. I’m not making an album commenting on anything societal or political this time, this is an album just for me. It’s every emotion I’ve felt and sobering thought since 2021. I can only make this album now, not in three years when I’m thirty, not ten years ago when I was seventeen. This is the snapshot of 24-27. A scrapbook of trial and error, or better yet, a Museum of Failure.”

Harajuku-core trailblazers HANABIE. are kicking off 2025 deliciously with their new track "Tasty Survivor"(via Sony Music Japan). Today's release is the featured ending theme song for the new anime series 'Momentarily Lily' streaming now on Crunchyroll, with an official music video coming soon. Speaking about the track, vocalist Yukina commented:

"This is our very first tie-in with an anime, and we wrote this track specifically for it! The song reflects the world and characters of Momentary Lily while also capturing the essence of our band life. From the intense “eat or be eaten” vibe of live band battles to the exhilarating build-up toward the chorus, it mirrors the way we warm up for a live show and the anticipation of listeners heading to the venue.

We hope this song becomes a source of energy for everyone living their lives to the fullest all over the world."

Guitarist and vocalist Matsuri shared:

"For our first-ever anime tie-in, we focused on blending the world of Momentary Lily with HANABIE.'s unique style. HANABIE. is a Tokyo-based all-girl rock band that has been making waves since 2015, when YUKINA, MATSURI, and HETTSU came together for a high school club activity. Incendiary guitarist/producer Dal Av and vocalist Jackson Rose (masterminds behind the viral sensation "Insanely Illegal Cage Fight"), along with drummer Patrick Galante, have announced a new album 'Petrichor' set for release on February 20. In celebration of the news, they have released their new track "Colors Collapsed" and the accompanying official music video. When asked about the inspiration behind 'Petrichor', Dal Av shared:

Harajuku-core trailblazers HANABIE. have released their new EP 'Bucchigiri Tokyo' and the official music video for their latest track "Ito Okashi My Type". When asked about the inspiration behind the EP, vocalist Yukina shared:

"The theme of this EP is "Tokyo" the birthplace of our music. Each track is pure chaos and pop, bursting with everything that makes HANABIE. unique! It’s a work that delivers total satisfaction—like a full-course meal for your ears. We love the word "Bucchigiri" for its strong sound and energy. With this EP, we want to go bucchigiri from Tokyo to the world!"

"This album was created with great care, cherishing both the raw passion of our early days and how we've evolved to where we are now! With all the activities in Japan and the many overseas tours we embarked on, 2024 has been an incredible year, and I believe this EP is the culmination of it all. "I've been with HANABIE. as their drummer, Chika, for about a year and a half now also since moving to Tokyo finally gotten used to life here. The Plot In You Announce Stacked North American Headlining Tour Kicking Off February 14

2025 is shaping up to be a great year for The Plot In You fans! The quartet has today announced their stacked Spring 2025 North American headlining tour coming to a city near you with Holding Absence, Boundaries and Acres as support. VIP, advance tickets and Spotify pre-sales are on now, with promoter pre-sales beginning today at 2 pm ET. Knotfest.com pre-sales begin tomorrow, Wednesday, October 30 at 2 pm ET. Sumerian Records have today released the 'American Psycho' Comic Series Soundtrack, available now on all streaming platforms at the link HERE. Exclusive vinyl is also available for purchase at the Sumerian Records Merch Store HERE.

In celebration of the release, Weathers has dropped their new, original song from the soundtrack "Killer", produced and co-written by Max Urasky (Maggie Lindemann, Siiickbrain) and No Love For the Middle Child (Travis Barker, Grandson), co-produced and mixed by Sean Beavan (Nine Inch Nails, Pantera). Sumerian Records have today announced the upcoming full release of the 'American Psycho' Comic Series Soundtrack as well as the hardback graphic novel out on Friday, October 25. The soundtrack is available for pre-order now at the link HERE, and vinyl will be available for purchase at the Sumerian Records Merch Store on release day.
