Midwinter Release New EP 'CHAPTER THREE: Still Hurts" And Drop Official Music Video For "Lying Figures" via Papercut Recordings

Atmospheric metalcore quintet Midwinter has today released their latest EP, 'CHAPTER THREE: Still Hurts' via Papercut Recordings. In celebration of the release, the band dropped the official music video for their new single, "Lying Figures". Speaking about the track, the band commented:

"This song lives in that desperate space of limbo, when you’re caught between the love you lost and the reality of having to move forward. It’s about the mental struggle of still wanting something you once had, even when you know deep down it wasn’t healthy for you. Musically, we really focused on creating something that feels truly moving. We wanted the instrumentals to carry that weight so the listener can feel the sadness and emotion behind every part of the song."

North American fans will also have the chance to see the band hit the road alongside Unprocessed and Allt, starting Monday, April 13 in Dallas, Texas (tickets on sale at the link here). Stream 'CHAPTER THREE: Still Hurts' here, and watch the official "Lying Figuresmusic video below.

Wes Parker Releases New Single And Official Visualizer "Bad Doggie" via Big Machine Rock

Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, rising alt-rock artist Wes Parker has delighted fans with his new single, "Bad Doggie" and the accompanying visualizer, the first release since his 2025 EP 'fantom' (via Big Machine Rock). Built around an easy-rolling groove and catchy, distorted guitar hooks, "Bad Doggie" showcases Parker's innate knack for blending indie rock attitude with a clever yet mischievous streak of humor. When asked about the inspiration behind the track, Parker shared:

"'Bad Doggie' is an upbeat tune about what it feels like to be someone’s… bad doggie! About someone knowing your unruly, troublemaking nature will never change and loving you anyway, forever.

About Wes Parker

For Wes Parker, sounds interlock like puzzle pieces. A ruddy guitar riff might click next to a broken piano melody, or a hauntingly angelic vocal could mesh just right with an off-kilter chord progression and D.I.Y. beat. All of these elements fit together in order to paint the personal portrait depicted in his music. It’s almost like he’s a mad scientist in his home studio, architecting poetically primal alternative rock that could’ve appeared in the MTV Buzz Bin back in the day or would make for a fiery sunset set at Coachella. The Richmond native grew up as the youngest of four kids with two older brothers and a sister. Mom bought a copy of Green Day’s American Idiot from PACSUN for him, and it proved life-changing. He honed his skills as a songwriter and producer and also devoured classics from the likes of Muse, Radiohead, and more. He dropped out of college after one semester and co-founded the band Camp Howard alongside a cohort of childhood friends. The band saw some success on DSPs and the road, touring with everyone from Stone Temple Pilots to Backseat Lovers. Though the group eventually parted ways, Wes continued to write and record on his own. After quitting a day job, he dropped his first solo single Why Won't You Pick Up The Phone? in February 2024 followed by Annie Moore and Tattoo.” Gaining momentum, he ignited 2025 with the Splinter EP applauded by VPM and more. Signing to Big Machine Rock in 2025, he emerges as just the alchemist rock music needs with his fantom EP, presenting an arresting perspective on the devil’s downfall over a cinematic soundscape threaded together by eerie piano, glitchy beats, off-kilter guitar, and transfixing vocal transmissions.

Diamante Releases New Track and Official Video "Bite of the Beast" via Sumerian Records

Charismatic chanteuse Diamante has today released her new single "Bite of the Beast", a cinematic rock anthem about the addictive yet self-destructive embrace of romantic obsession, and the accompanying official video (via Sumerian Records). When asked about the inspiration behind the song, Diamante shared:

‘Bite of the Beast’ was inspired by the dark romance novels I’ve been reading and the song is set in a twisted fairytale world. It’s about a kind of all-consuming infatuation that changes you forever — the kind where, once it’s over, nothing else can ever compare. I wanted the song to feel visceral and dangerous, like falling under a spell you know will ruin you. It’s the kind of heartbreak that you don't want cured.

After being featured as a Stowaway earlier this year on ShipRocked 2026, fans now have the chance to see her electric energy live on the SPIN THE WHEEL US TOUR alongside labelmates I See Stars and special guests Mothica and Until I Wake. Black Coast Release New Track + Official Music Video "Drown Out" via Papercut Recordings

Stoke-on-Trent, UK's Black Coast have today released their poignant new single "Drown Out" and the official music video (via Papercut Recordings). The stripped-down, acoustic-driven ballad uncovers a new facet of the grunge-nu-metalcore quintet, blending raw vocals with crystal-clear production. When asked about the inspiration behind the track, guitarist Scott Pinnington shared:

"I wrote this song musically and I explained to our singer Charlie about how I was feeling at the time. I’ve suffered with an eating disorder all my life, and last year I hit rock bottom with it. I didn't want to be here anymore, and felt like I was losing my life being succumbed by the anxiety and depression of living with it. Drowning out the white noise and being in a different state of mind was what I constantly tried to do…to take myself out of my mind. I hope that this song resonates with those who may find themselves either in similar shoes, or understand that state of mind or being, and understand they're not alone.

ABOUT BLACK COAST

Black Coast are a Grunge / Nu-Metalcore band from Stoke-on-Trent, England. Formed in January 2016 by guitarists Scott Pinningtonand Joe Mayer, the lineup was completed by Jack Beardsall (bass), Matty Clark (drums), and Charlie Hewitt (vocals).

After nine years of growth and touring the globe together, Joe Mayer played his final show with the band on 20th December 2025 at a sold-out hometown headline show at The Underground. Two days later, Black Coast announced the permanent addition of Alex Huzar(Forager, Orion), who had previously joined the band as a touring guitarist on the Silly Goose UK headline run.

Rooted in hardcore grooves from the outset, Black Coast have always worn their love of 90s grunge on their sleeves. Over time, their sound has evolved into a heavier, sharper, and more refined force by balancing raw aggression with melody and atmosphere. Lyrically, the band connect deeply with audiences through themes of personal struggle, introspection, mental health, and the challenge of navigating emotional barriers in a relentlessly paced world.

Black Coast released their debut album Outworld on 19th November 2021, with Sam Bloor at Lower Lane Studios helming the recording and production. The record marked a clear turning point from the band’s roots: broader dynamics, increased confidence in blending melody with heaviness, and their most personal songwriting to date.

In April 2023, the band self-released their self-titled EP, once again working with Bloor on production duties. Tracks such as Chains and Mercy built upon the foundations of Outworld, yet showcased further growth in both production quality, songwriting maturity and emotional depth.

More recently, Black Coast have continued to release new material with Bloor, including Hopeless and Without You, expanding lyrically on recurring themes of internal pressure, mental health, overstimulation, and the pursuit of authentic self-expression. The band are currently writing and recording their sophomore full-length release, the follow-up to Outworld.

Black Coast’s identity centres on heavy, groove-driven riffs, aggressive vocals offset by melodic hooks, and immersive atmospheric textures. Across their catalogue, their songwriting charts a clear emotional evolution, while staying grounded in the formative influences that continue to drive them, including Alice in Chains, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, and Pantera.

Renowned for their raw energy and emotional intensity on stage, Black Coast’s live shows prioritise connection, honesty, and catharsis. Seasoned, resilient, and continually evolving, the band show no signs of slowing down.

Bodysnatcher Unleash "Violent Obsession" Track and Official Music Video via MNRK Heavy

South Florida deathcore mainstays Bodysnatcher have today released their latest rager, "Violent Obsession"(via MNRK Heavy). The furious track is taken from the band's upcoming new album 'Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home' for release on Friday, April 10.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, guitarist Kyle Carter commented:

'Violent Obsession' to me expresses hate for a person to the extreme. It’s about revenge and what you wish you could do to this person who’s abused you, or taken advantage of you. It’s about obsessively living in that headspace of hatred and wanting them to feel how they made you feel.

ABOUT BODYSNATCHER

Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home is the fourth full-length from Melbourne, FL deathcore outfit Bodysnatcher. It follows 2024’s brutal Will Putney-produced EP, Vile Conduct and serves up another powerful barrage of uncompromising deathcore across 10 incredible tracks that see the four-piece—Kyle Medina (vocals), Kyle Carter (guitar), Kyle Shope (bass) and Chris Whited (drums)—turn the catharsis up as loud and as visceral as it will go.

Of course, that’s nothing new for the band. If you’ve heard Vile Conduct, or any of the three albums that preceded it—2017’s Death of Me, 2020’s The Heavy Void or 2022’s Bleed-Abide—you’ll know this is a band who have always pitted themselves against personal tragedy, who have fought on individual levels against the dark depths of a despair (often inspired by their own experiences of death). Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home is no less harrowing.

“The band has always had roots lyrically in themes of betrayal, overcoming hardship, and moving on from things that happen in life and how to cope with them,” explains Medina. “Ever since the inception of Bodysnatcher, that was the theme. I do think, though, as the band has matured and we as people have grown, so have the ways to dig into the themes more. With more life experience, there are more things to draw from.”

Yet while this is still a viciously personal record, Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home is also a dark reflection of the world at large, and its current dystopia. It doesn’t just dwell on what’s happening, though. It lashes out at the way things are with a terrible, violent rage.

“I’d say a lot of today’s world plays into this album,” says Whited. “We really feel that listeners across the globe can find something to connect with in these songs. There’s a strong sense of retaliation this time around; it feels like choosing violence, fighting back against a world that feels morally lost right now.“

That manifests itself from the very beginning of this record, from the opener The Maker. A sheer assault of rage, noise, and skull-crushing riffs, it multiplies Bodysnatcher’s intensity to a degree that, even by their already intense standards, is off the charts. “'The Maker' is a raw, visceral song,” says Shope. “Bodysnatcher has always been known for unrelenting heaviness, but The Maker seems to be an even darker, more intense direction. Revenge and retaliation are themes we often use in our lyrics, however The Maker is a more direct approach. This song is as heavy as we could make it, and I know the energy is going to be electric when it is played live.

That direct darkness continues throughout the entirety of the next nine songs, from the unforgiving vengeance of Writhe And Coil and Violent Obsession through to the blistering defiance of Blade Between The Teeth and Survive Or Die. The latter features vocals from Scott Vogel, the frontman of hardcore legends Terror, a band very close to Bodysnatcher’s blackened heart. It follows the previous impressive cameo on Vile Conduct by Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta

Scott Vogel is such a pivotal and legendary voice in hardcore and heavy music,” says Medina. “Many of us in the band grew up listening to Terror, so having him appear on a song is huge for us in terms of morale and making the album feel even stronger. We had the idea when we were thinking of another voice come from the hardcore side of where the band draws from; we had Jasta on the previous EP, so we thought of another that is of equal stature, and were able to make it happen.”

Vogel’s appearance shows just how much of a mark Bodysnatcher have made on the scene. But it’s not distracting them from their intent and purpose. In fact, that only seems to have been refined as time has passed. One of the most obvious examples of that here is May Your Memory Rot, an intensely personal song full of spite, venom and trauma about somebody who was very close to Whited. “That song was written the first night we got to the studio,” says the drummer. “It was Father’s Day, which has a lot of baggage for me. I was thinking about my nephew, who lost both parents when my sister overdosed and their gang member father was murdered, and is now being raised by my mom, and my nieces, who lost their dad when my brother passed. That spiral eventually led me to someone who is, without question, one of the worst people I’ve ever known. I was lying in bed angry, so I started writing. That song is pure rage—a very direct fuck you to Mike Whited.” Yet—like the rest of this record—it’s rage with a purpose, rage full of intention, rage with hope still attached to it. Because even though it was born out of incredibly difficult circumstances, both personal and universal, Bodysnatcher’s hope is that people listening to it can find some kind of solace in it alongside all the anger and the rage.

“I won’t lie,” says Carter. “This was a hard album to put together. Every writing session was met with dead ends for months, but we were able to come out the other side with 15 demos and ended with 10 of the best songs we’ve ever made. The album is based around revenge and not bending over for people. I hope others can hear these songs and come to the same realizations we have while putting this together. Life is too short to let people walk on you or take advantage of you. Humans are monsters who betray, abuse, neglect, murder, and sometimes it feels like we’re too comfortable in the Hell that we’re in.”

Midwinter Drop New Track "Champagne" and Official Music Video via Papercut Recordings

Emerging atmospheric metalcore quintet Midwinter have today unleashed their new single "Champagne" via their new label home, Papercut Recordings. The track captures the band's signature style, blending crushing heaviness and electronic dissonance with soaring vocals and moments of luminous clarity. Accompanying the release is the cinematic music video, which evokes the decadent spirit of the Roaring Twenties but emphasizes the song's theme of emotional divide when paired with the song. When asked about the inspiration and sound design of "Champagne", the band shared:

"'Champagne' is used as a metaphor to celebrate something that is actually hollow. It symbolizes escapism and temporary euphoria. At its core, the track explores abandonment and betrayal but are masked behind something generally associated with a celebration.

Sonically, we wanted to experiment with contrasting emotions. Similar to the lyrics, certain sections of the track emote feelings of beautiful nostalgia but soon give way to extreme and jarring textures. Blending these together creates a push-pull between optimistic reflection and the pain of loss."

Midwinter will also be on the road starting in April alongside Unprocessed and Allt, so be sure to get your tickets now at the link here. Stream "Champagne" here, watch the official music video below, and stay tuned for more Midwinter news coming this year.

ABOUT MIDWINTER

Midwinter carves beauty from chaos with their emotionally charged brand of progressive metalcore. Blending punishing thall-infused riffs, lush ambient layers, and introspective lyrics, the Cleveland, Ohio based five-piece explores themes of loss, identity, and healing. Their sound design is immersive and intentional—layered with glitchy textures, dissonant melodies, and experimental production techniques that push genre boundaries and elevate every emotional peak and breakdown.

sace6 Announce Sumerian Records Signing and Release New Track "ego" with Official Music Video

Enigmatic, genre-bending R&B-metal duo sace6 have today announced signing with their new record label home, Sumerian Records. In celebration of the partnership, they have released their new track "ego" and the accompanying official music video. Shapeshifting musical boundaries by pairing crushing heaviness, sensual vocals and crisp production, "ego" speaks to the unease of being in the hands of someone whose overreaching intensity never fully loosens its grip. When asked about today's signing news and release, sace6 shared:

"For us, Sumerian was always more than a label, they were a movement. Growing up, they were a gateway into a world that we were always certain we would find ourselves existing in, side by side with the music and the artists that raised us. Sumerian has been a home to endless icons and we are forever grateful to reside here and begin our own prodigal story.

Our latest single, “ego,” evokes the presence of someone assertive beyond necessity—overbearing even after they’ve already won you over, leaving hesitation in their wake."

Stream "ego" at the link here, and watch the official music video below.

HANABIE. Release New EP 'HOT TOPIC' via Sony Music Japan

It's a great day to be a HANABIE. fan! The rising Harajuku-core quartet have today released their latest EP 'HOT TOPIC' (via Sony Music Japan), the band's latest body of new music since 2024's 'Bucchigiri Tokyo' EP. When asked about the release, vocalist Yukina commented:

"We’ve put together another EP packed with a wide variety of songs this time around. With our new tracks “ICONIC” and “Tokimeki about you” I’d love it if everyone sang along and jumped around during the chorus—I can already picture the scene in my head! I can’t wait to perform these live at our shows. “GIRL’S TALK” is a song that captures who we are right now, just as we are. “Spicy Queen”looks back to our early days and reflects that original spirit. Both of these have already been released as singles, but they’re absolutely essential in bringing color and balance to 'HOT TOPIC'. As has become something of a tradition for us, we let ourselves go all out with one playful track on an album or EP—this time, it’s “Theme of hanabienchan”. I’d love to see the confused looks on everyone’s faces when this song comes on after listening to the other four tracks! Please enjoy this EP to the fullest."

Guitarist and vocalist Matsuri shared:

"An EP perfectly suited to kick off 2026 is finally complete! This EP includes three new tracks. “ICONIC” and “Tokimeki about you” are punchy tracks that is simple x electronic with playful elements. By embracing a side that is different from usual, we feel that a new side of HANABIE. was born. “Spicy Queen” bursts with initial full-throttle impulse. “GIRL’S TALK” is a glamorous, danceable track. Closing out 'HOT TOPIC' is “Theme of hanabienchan”. This EP delivers many different expressions of HANABIE., so please enjoy listening to it from start to finish!"

Bassist Hettsu added:

"The new EP 'HOT TOPIC' features 5 tracks—3 brand‑new songs plus the already released “GIRL’S TALK” and “Spicy Queen”. Among the new songs "ICONIC" and “Tokimeki about you", we challenged ourselves with song structures and genres unlike anything we've done before. “Tokimeki about you” is our first-ever straightforward love song as HANABIE., and a key feature is the groovy sound of the instrumental section. It's a track that we feel is great to move along to, so we hope everyone who comes to our live shows will enjoy it ♪ The fifth track, “Theme of hanabienchan.”, is the theme song for HANABIE.’s unofficial character, “Hanabienchan”. As our wild-card track that is in every EP or album, it finally makes its appearance here! There might just be a second installment if there is a good response...?? With our 10th-anniversary track "Spicy Queen", a more mature side of HANABIE. in "GIRL'S TALK", and three brand-new tracks with fresh styles, we feel this EP displays a new side of HANABIE."

HANABIE. drummer Chika also shared:

"Three out of the five tracks on this EP are brand-new! The third track, “Tokimeki about you”, is my personal favorite as the drummer. I focused on creating contrast and dynamics in the drum arrangement. I especially love the moment in the first chorus where the cymbals drop out, and the strength of the rhythm section throughout the song. The fifth track is a special one—I think it will get stuck in your head once you hear it. The first track “ICONIC” also has a music video, so be sure to check that out as well. Please also notice how there is a difference on the girl’s face between the left and right sides. We put a lot of effort into all aspects of this EP, from the songs to the cover art!"

North American fans will also have their chance to see the band's high-energy, inimitable live show on their first North American headliner beginning Friday, March 13 with Nekrogoblikon and Enterprise Earth as support. 'HOT TOPIC' is available now on all streaming platforms at the link here, and be sure to get your tickets here before they're all gone.

ABOUT BODYSNATCHER:

There are many clichés about battling adversity. That if you fall down, you get back up again. That what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. That it’s the journey that’s important, not the end result. That the struggle is worth it, that you need to suffer to make great art. It’s not always true, of course, but Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home (via MNRK Heavy) certainly makes a strong case for that argument. The fourth full-length from Melbourne, FL deathcore outfit Bodysnatcher, it follows 2024’s brutal Will Putney-produced EP, Vile Conduct and serves up another powerful barrage of uncompromising deathcore across 10 incredible tracks that see the four-piece—Kyle Medina (vocals), Kyle Carter (guitar), Kyle Shope (bass) and Chris Whited (drums)—turn the catharsis up as loud and as visceral as it will go.

BLACKSHAPE Release New EP 'Prismer I' + "Feels Like Flying" Official Visualizer via Papercut Recordings

Atmospheric post-metal outfit BLACKSHAPE have released their new EP 'Prismer I' along with the official visualizer for "Feels Like Flying" via Papercut Recordings. The EP is the band's latest body of work since their 2021 self-titled full length, 'BLACKSHAPE'. Speaking about today's release, the band commented:

"Making 'Prismer I' was the most demanding creative endeavor of our lives. It tested friendships, stretched deadlines, introduced a new member, and pushed us to our absolute limits. We set out to make something bigger, heavier, and more beautiful than our first record, and we feel we’ve accomplished that. Musically, it captures the full spectrum of our elation and struggle throughout its creation.

Endless thanks to our producer and friend, Adam Cichocki (CHEE-HOT-SKEE), who worked tirelessly alongside us to bring this record to life. We couldn’t be more proud of what we created and can’t wait to release the first installment of Prismer into the world."

'Prismer I' is available now on all streaming platforms at the link here. Watch the "Feels Like Flying" visualizer below, and be sure to stay tuned for more BLACKSHAPE news coming soon.

ABOUT BLACKSHAPE

Haunting, intricate, and emotionally brutal, BLACKSHAPE create music that lives in the shadowed space between chaos and clarity. Their compositions stretch across post-metal, math rock, and ambient minimalism—twisting tension and release into something visceral and cinematic. For fans of sonic unease, dramatic builds, and songwriting that lives outside the lines.

Making Prismer IBLACKSHAPE’s new record, pushed the band to their breaking point. The process became their prison, a crucible of relentless personal and creative pressure. But the music was a prism—refracting that pressure into something beautiful, harrowing, and cathartic, and ultimately reshaping their perspective in the very act of making it. The title reflects this duality, capturing both the burden of confined thinking and the liberation in breaking it apart. Like a prism splitting light, every experience expands perspective into countless paths, showing that escaping the prison of one view means embracing the full spectrum: beautiful, ugly, terrifying, and freeing. This is Prismer.

The Pretty Wild Unleash New Track "AFTERLIFE (feat. Magnolia Park)" + Official Visualizer via Sumerian Records

Rising metaphysical metalcore powerhouse The Pretty Wild has unleashed their latest offering, "AFTERLIFE (feat. Magnolia Park)" and the accompanying visualizer (via Sumerian Records). The track can be found in the band's forthcoming full-length 'zero.point.genesis', out Friday, November 21. Other tracks on the album include previously released bangers "PARADOX", "OMENS""Button Eyes""living ded", and the smash-hit "sLeepwALKeR" (as a physical bonus track). The songs so far have amassed over 23 million streams on Spotify alone and 3 million views on YouTube and counting. Speaking about today's drop, the band commented:

"'AFTERLIFE' circles the idea of star-crossed souls bound by something ancient and unbreakable. Conceptually it’s plucked from the kind of love you find in mythology and old tragedies, where you have this obsessive devotion and destruction. It isn’t perfect, but it's dark, beautiful, and eternal." -jules

"'AFTERLIFE' explores the idea that love dynamics are rooted in codependent magnetism and resonance patterns. it asks, what happens when obsession doesn’t end with death, but carries ur soul into magnetizing eternal dynamics? the result is kinda tragic and romantically glitchy. it’s basically a pop-metal requiem." -jyl

In celebration of the news, the band has dropped their new track "Our Parting Ways" and the accompanying official music video, their latest release since their haunting 2024 full-length 'People Watching'. When asked about the song, the band shared:

"Our parting ways will always come together. The spaces left between what was and what is hold a place of their own to be remembered with grace. As the pages decrease in our story, we bleed to gain access to the memories of

the path we once shared."

Speaking about signing with Pure Noise Records, they commented:

"Pure Noise has always been a label we have all been fans of so when the option to sign with them was there we couldn’t pass it up. Everyone at the label has been so accommodating and supportive, very excited for the future of 156 with Pure Noise!"

Speaking about the inspiration behind "Wrong One", the band commented:

We wrote this song at a time when we were simply fed up with always giving folks the benefit of the doubt. Never mistake kindness for weakness.

Blackshape Release New Track "Falling" and Official Visualizer via Papercut Recordings

Atmospheric post-metal outfit BLACKSHAPE have dropped their latest offering "Falling" and the surreal accompanying visualizer (via Papercut Recordings). Rife with soaring, expressive guitar melodies interlaced with menacing beats, "Falling" is taken from the band's forthcoming new EP 'Prismer I', set for release on October 24. Speaking about today's release, the band commented:

'Falling' captures the tension at the heart of [our] sound—the pull between making music [that is] heavier and more abrasive, and at the same time more beautiful. An intense instrumental journey, “Falling” speaks for itself while setting the stage for its vocal-driven sister song on [our] upcoming record, 'Prismer I'".
