Ian Munsick Announces ‘White Buffalo: Introduce You To God’ Deluxe Album, Available April 5

With his 2023 album White BuffaloIan Munsick painted a sprawling ode to the west and its people. The son of ranchers, he is now sharing the majesty of his home with the next generation. Today he announced four new tracks White Buffalo: Introduce You To God, a deluxe version of the celebrated collection (pre-order HERE). The first of the album’s four new tracks, “Heartbreak King,” is available now (listen HERE).

“18 songs just wasn’t enough,” remarks Munsick of his sophomore project. “This Deluxe album features songs I wrote four years ago and songs I wrote four months ago. They’ve lived in my imagination long enough, now I can’t wait for them to be yours. Family, faith, heartbreak, legends of the west… you’ll get 'em all in this project. Thank you for always pushing me to write and release more music.”

Munsick’s release of White Buffalo last year earned accolades from Billboard, American Songwriter, People, MusicRow and more. Grammy.com remarked, “Munsick's ability to turn his Western upbringing into relatable sentiments is the epitome of what makes him special… his passion for his homeland — from the culture to the people — rings through in both the lyrics and the musicality.”

Munsick burst out of the gate in 2024, starting with the release of White Buffalo: Voices of the West. The feature-length documentary is now available on Apple iTunes, Apple, Google Play, Kanopy (Libraries), Microsoft, Vudu, YouTube Rentals and Amazon TVOD. The Tennessean praised Voices of the West, which features conversations with members of the Blackfoot and Crow tribes as well as the Blackfeet Nation, as “essential to maintain and humanize the tie to Western culture.”

Last week, amid his headlining Boots, Buckles & Bolos Tour, Munsick stopped by The Bobby Bones Show for an in-studio interview and performance (watch HERE). He also released his exclusive Apple Music Sessions, featuring western-influenced covers of Justin Bieber, Hall & Oates and Travis Tritt (listen HERE).

Munsick is back on the road this weekend, with a show tonight in Kansas City, MO. His headlining run will continue through the spring, including a sold-out date at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre on June 5. This summer he will join CMA Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson for her Country’s Cool Again Tour

Ian Munsick Highlights ‘Voices of the West’ in New Documentary, Available Now

When Ian Munsick moved to Nashville from Wyoming 12 years ago, he vowed to carry the influences of the West with him through Music Row. Now, Munsick is setting aside his fiddle and casting the spotlight on friends whose stories often go unheard with his documentary, White Buffalo: Voices of the West, available now on Apple iTunes, Apple, Google Play, Kanopy (Libraries), Microsoft, Vudu, YouTube Rentals and Amazon TVOD.

“Over a year of filming, editing, interviewing, planning, and capturing magic is finally ready for the world to see! I am beyond excited for you to watch ‘Voices of the West’ and experience all of the emotions that come along with it,” shares Munsick. “I hope it makes you fall in love with the west and all that it represents. Okay, stop reading this and GO WATCH!!!”

A film that The Tennessean noted is “essential to maintain and humanize the tie to Western culture,” Voices of the West features conversations with Pro Buckin’ Horse producer and entrepreneur from the Blackfoot Tribe, Dougie Hall; rancher, horse trainer and actor from the Crow Tribe, Stephen Yellowtail; and cowgirl from the Blackfeet Nation, Sammy Jo Bird.

The documentary compliments Munsick’s sophomore album White Buffalo – the concept of which was inspired by the sacred symbol for the plains tribes of Native America, where the return of the white buffalo is believed to bring prosperity and rebirth. Both the album and documentary serve as an important recognition of the modern-day relationship between cowboys, ranchers and Native American tribes, and how they often rely on each other to live off the land out west.

Munsick first premiered the documentary to an intimate crowd of 150 attendees on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Beverly Theater in Las Vegas during NFR. Following the screening, the cast was joined by Cam Mackey, director/cinematographer from the Tohono O'Odham Nation and executive producer Caroline Munsick, for a panel discussion moderated by film, television actor and enrolled member of the Lakota Nations, Mo Brings Plenty. The 30-minute conversation highlighted the importance of sharing Native and Western experiences from those who live them in order to shed an authentic light on the culture.

Ian Munsick’s ‘White Buffalo: Voices of the West’ Available On Demand Beginning Jan. 26

Known for his ability to transport people to the west by way of his sawing fiddle and coyote cries, Wyoming native Ian Munsick’s sophomore album White Buffalo painted a vivid lyrical picture of his homeland and its unique cast of characters. Now, Munsick is expanding on those depictions with his documentary White Buffalo: Voices of the West, arriving to streaming platforms on Friday, Jan. 26.

The documentary will initially be available on Apple iTunes, Apple, Google Play, Kanopy (Libraries), Microsoft, Vudu, YouTube Rentals and Amazon TVOD. After 60-90 days, it will become available on Freevee, The Roku Channel and Tubi.

“Some of the best kept secrets are out there, thriving, where the prairie meets the mountains,” Munsick reflects. “I was lucky enough to be born and raised in the heart of cowboy country, mostly untouched by the outside world. It’s a culture where Cowboys and Native Americans are one in the same. I’ve always wanted to use my platform to help shed light on what’s been hidden for decades, and Voices of the West was a great way to convey an important message, while artistically collaborating with a people who rarely get the opportunity to have their voices heard.”

Spanning nearly an hour, the film expands on the concept of Munsick's sophomore album White Buffalo, with the white buffalo representing a sacred symbol for the plains tribes of Native America, its return signaling prosperity and rebirth. Delving into conversations with Pro Buckin’ Horse producer and entrepreneur from the Blackfoot Tribe, Dougie Hall; rancher, horse trainer and actor from the Crow Tribe, Stephen Yellowtail; and cowgirl from the Blackfeet Nation, Sammy Jo Bird; Munsick explores the modern-day relationship between cowboys, ranchers and Native American tribes, and how they often rely on each other to live off the land out west.

Michael Ray Captures Relationship Nostalgia with "We Should Get A Drink Sometime"

As current single “Spirits and Demons” with Meghan Patrick climbs the charts at country radio, multi-Platinum hitmaker Michael Ray surprises fans just in time for the holidays with “We Should Get A Drink Sometime,” capturing that urge to reminisce with an old friend or flame that so often consumes us this time of year. Pre-save the song, which will arrive tomorrow, December 8, HERE.

“I typically end up cutting more songs than I need when I’m in the studio, and sadly that means there are a few that never get to see the light of day,” shares Ray. “But this song has always been special to me, and it felt like the right time to put it out there. This one is for those of you traveling home for the holidays and reconnecting with those people in your life that you’ve lost touch with, whether you reach out or run into someone you didn’t expect to see.”

Written by Thomas Rhett, Rhett Akins, Mike Busbee and Josh Kerr, “We Should Get A Drink Sometime” is a hard-hitting ballad. No stranger to showcasing vulnerability through his delivery, Ray’s voice shines brightly against sole piano accompaniment.

Following the premiere of the official music video for “Spirits and Demons” with CMT and Paramount’s Time Square billboard, Ray joins CMT Hot 20 for their Video of the Year episode, filmed on a U.S. Marine base in Okinawa, Japan. The episode premieres this Saturday, December 9 at 8am CT.

“Coming from a family full of first responders, veterans and service members, it meant so much to me to be able to connect with those men and women, especially at this time of year,” shares Ray. “I’m so glad I got the opportunity to say thank you in person and hopefully bring along a little holiday cheer.”

Looking ahead to 2024, the Florida native is back in the studio with CMA Album of the Year producer Michael Knox to expand on his latest project Dive Bars & Broken Hearts.

About Michael Ray
Forged on the small stages of Florida’s rural communities, Michael Ray has created an impressive foundation. Hits including the RIAA Platinum-certified “Think a Little Less,” the RIAA Platinum-certified “Whiskey And Rain,” the RIAA Gold-certified “Kiss You in the Morning” and the RIAA Gold-certified “One That Got Away” bring his tally to four No. 1 singles – not to mention the RIAA Gold-certified fan favorites “Get to You” and “Her World Or Mine”. Garnering over two billion global streams, more than 650,000 album equivalents and upwards of 150 million YouTube views, he is a true country star who’s performed at the Grand Ole Opry 73 times. Looking to expand his sound, Ray sought out CMA Album of the Year Award-winning producer Michael Knox. The pair have taken his brand of country to a new level for Dive Bars & Broken Hearts, Ray’s six-song EP available now via Warner Music Nashville, featuring current single and haunting duet “Spirits and Demons” with Meghan Patrick, a two-time Canadian Country Music Association Female Artist of the Year. Michael Ray's "Spirits and Demons (with Meghan Patrick)" Comes To Life in New Music Video

With four No. 1 singles to his credit, singer/songwriter Michael Ray is well on his way to another hit with “Spirits and Demons (with Meghan Patrick).” Today he released the song’s intoxicating music video with a CMT multi-platform premiere, including the Paramount Times Square video billboard. Watch the video BELOW.

“Growing up, I’d rush home from school, and the first thing I’d do is turn on CMT for the rest of the afternoon,” said Ray. “Watching those music videos helped develop my love for country music and was responsible for introducing me to some of my favorite artists. Whether it’s your first video or 10th, it never gets old seeing it come to life, let alone getting to watch it on a billboard in Times Square.”

Directed by Sean Hagwell, the video captures the song’s mood with a smokey set and Ray alone, surrounded by empty broken glasses. The darkness is further enhanced with Meghan Patrick seen separately in a bar with people going about their lives in the background. When the two are filmed performing singing the song, they never face each other.

“There’s great contrast in the video between my individual shots and Meghan’s shots,” described Ray. “It shows how people handle the end of a relationship differently, but the result is the same: we can’t drink away our heartbreak.”

Of the new single, Music Row Magazine said, “This oomphy-sounding duet sez that booze doesn’t really cure a heartbreak. Both partners sing with gusto.”

In addition to the new song and video, Ray wraps a busy year of touring as he heads back into the studio with multi-platinum CMA Album of the Year producer Michael Knox to finish the Dive Bars & Broken Hearts project.

Ian Munsick Sets “White Buffalo: Voices of the West” Documentary Premiere for 12/6 in Las Vegas

Wyoming native Ian Munsick has never shied away from sharing the influence of his homeland and its people in his music. Known for his ability to transport people to the west by way of his sawing fiddle and coyote cries, Munsick is now giving his sophomore album White Buffalo a cinematography debut with its companion documentary White Buffalo: Voices of the West, premiering Wednesday, Dec. 6 during Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

The documentary expands on the album’s concept, with the white buffalo representing a sacred symbol for the plains tribes of Native America, its return signaling prosperity and rebirth. Delving into conversations with Pro Buckin’ Horse producer and entrepreneur from the Blackfoot Tribe, Dougie Hall; rancher, horse trainer and actor from the Crow Tribe, Stephen Yellowtail; and cowgirl from the Blackfeet Nation, Sammy Jo Bird; together with Munsick, they explore the modern-day relationship between cowboys, ranchers and Native American tribes, and how they often rely on each other to live off the land out west.

“Some of the best kept secrets are out there, thriving, where the prairie meets the mountains,” Munsick states. “I was lucky enough to be born and raised in the heart of cowboy country, mostly untouched by the outside world. It’s a culture where Cowboys and Native Americans are one in the same. I’ve always wanted to use my platform to help shed light on what’s been hidden for decades, so naturally Voices of the West was a great way to convey an important message, while artistically collaborating with a people who rarely get the opportunity to have their voices heard.”

Following the premiere, Yellowstone actor and enrolled member of the Lakota Nations Mo Brings Plenty will moderate a panel discussion between Munsick, Hall, Yellowtail and Bird, alongside director/cinematographer from the Tohono O’odham Nation Cam Mackey and producer Caroline Munsick.

“For centuries, our horse nation relatives carried my ancestors on their backs and continue to in these modern times. It can be said they are responsible for our existence today," says Brings Plenty. “American Indians, cowboys, ranching, and rodeo are deeply rooted in this country's history, culture, and the enduring spirit of the American West, and through Ian's lens, a historical story of growth, camaraderie, respect, humility, and the importance of creating allies with communities other than our own -- organically through our shared love of our four-legged relatives -- will appear for audiences of all ages.”

Grammy.com remarked, “Munsick's ability to turn his Western upbringing into relatable sentiments is the epitome of what makes him special… his passion for his homeland — from the culture to the people — rings through in both the lyrics and the musicality.”

Munsick’s solo version of “Long Live Cowgirls,” which he performed at Nissan Stadium for CMA Fest and on stadium appearances supporting Morgan Wallen’s One Night At A Time World Tour, is now playing on country radio. Michael Ray's Intoxicating "Spirits and Demons" with Meghan Patrick Impacts Country Radio

With four No. 1 singles, singer-songwriter Michael Ray is one of country radio’s most consistent hitmakers. Earlier this summer he released his six-song Dive Bars & Broken Hearts EP to a flurry of fan, media and industry acclaim. That excitement fuels the release of Ray’s new single “Spirits and Demons” with Meghan Patrick.

“The song’s about going through that part of life where you’re trying to figure things out,” said Ray of the song. “You went through a break-up, and you go to the bottle. You know, you wanna numb it. You wanna forget about what’s going on and just not feel anything, but when you lean into that bottle, it’s going to bring out the demons, it’s going to bring out some of those memories and you just end up reliving it.”

Joining Ray on the haunting duet is two-time Canadian Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year, Meghan Patrick. Ray felt the song needed a female voice so he reached out to his friend Patrick, saying “…she’s got a voice that can blister concrete – and a gift to reach right into a song and rip its heart out, put it in her throat and meet you line for line with some intense emotions.”

Of the new single,
MusicRow shared, “This oomphy-sounding duet sez that booze doesn’t really cure a heartbreak. Both partners sing with gusto.”

In addition to his new single, Ray heads into the final stretch of summer and into fall with a full slate of touring. In addition, the Grand Ole Opry stalwart will make his 73rd appearance on the iconic stage on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

Ian Munsick Shares Fan-Requested "Western Wedding" EP, Out Now

Fans have long-shared with Ian Munsick how they danced to his songs, ruggedly earnest and humbly romantic, at their weddings. With such fans in mind, the Wyoming native has crafted an EP befitting of a Western Wedding (listen HERE). The eight-track project comprises four of his original songs, with both piano-backed and instrumental-only versions of each. See track listing below.

“Over the last few years, requests for me to make ‘piano versions’ of my love ballads have overflown my inbox,” Munsick shared. “I’m always so honored when couples use my music for their wedding soundtrack, or when one of my songs epitomizes a relationship between two people. All of these instances have inspired my Western Wedding EP. May your love grow as tall as the Rockies and last as long as the rivers winding through them.”

As Holler described, Munsick empowers listeners to “experience the emotional ebbs and flows of the Green River, feel the highs and lows of the Grand Teton and witness the wild, free-spirited euphoria of a band of mustangs riding off into the sunset.” Western Wedding follows his Me and A Fiddle EP (listen
