Wilson also joined The Kelleigh Bannen Show in London to discuss the EP. On her cover of “Come Together,” she tells Bannen, “Last year when we were here [in London], we got to record a song at Abbey Road, and just really felt that energy in the building. And just trying to wrap your head around how influential The Beatles really are and what they have done to every single genre.”

On her choice of covering Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved,” she adds: “I watched his documentary and it really inspired me to see how he works, and how he just goes into his hole, and if he’s not feeling creative, he fights for it. The release adds to yet another triumphant year for Wilson, who continues to receive overwhelming attention with her acclaimed new single, “Somewhere Over Laredo,” which earned Wilson her biggest first day of streaming to date (1.16M), while Billboard called it “one of her most commanding, dynamic vocal performances to date, crescendo-ing from a soft-focus, tender vocal, before gradually reaching into her upper register for powerful moments that heighten the song’s emotional acuity.” The song is from the deluxe version of Wilson’s album, Whirlwind, which is set for release August 22 via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville (pre-order/pre-save/pre-add here).

In the past year, Wilson also won four awards at the 60th Annual ACM Awards: Entertainer of the Year (her second consecutive win), Female Artist of the Year (her third consecutive win), Album of the Year (Whirlwind) and Artist-Songwriter of the Year, was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, won Best Country Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards and two awards at the 58th CMA Awards, where she also made her hosting debut alongside Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan. She’s also scored eight #1 hits, recently debuted “Trailblazer” with Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert and will make her feature film acting debut in next year’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him. Known for her electric live performances, Wilson is currently in the midst of her nearly sold-out Whirlwind World Tour, which includes stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Austin’s Moody Center and Denver’s Ball Arena among many others. LAINEY WILSON’S NEW SINGLE “SOMEWHERE OVER LAREDO” IS MOST ADDED AT COUNTRY RADIO THIS WEEK

16x ACM, 9x CMA and Grammy Award-winning artist Lainey Wilson’s new single, “Somewhere Over Laredo,” is the most added song at country radio this week with 129 adds. Furthering its success, the track garnered over 1.16 million streams across platforms in the first 24 hours of its release, earning Wilson her biggest first day of streaming to date.

The song is from the new deluxe version of Wilson’s award-winning album, Whirlwind, which will be released August 22 via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville in celebration of the record’s one-year anniversary (pre-order/pre-save/pre-add here). In addition to Whirlwind’s original 14 songs, the extended edition will feature five additional tracks: “Somewhere Over Laredo,” “Bell Bottoms Up,” “King Ranch, King George, King James,” “Yesterday, All Day, Every Day” and “Peace, Love and Cowboys.”

Already receiving widespread attention, Wilson performed “Somewhere Over Laredo” live for the first time at the 2025 American Music Awards earlier this week and appeared on CBS Mornings to discuss the new track, while Billboard praised, “one of her most commanding, dynamic vocal performances to date, crescendo-ing from a soft-focus, tender vocal, before gradually reaching into her upper register for powerful moments that heighten the song’s emotional acuity.”

Written by Wilson, Trannie Anderson, Dallas Wilson and Andy Albert, the track honors the timeless classic “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” while showcasing Wilson’s poignant storytelling and authentic country sound, as she reflects on past love and pays tribute to small towns across the country.

The release adds to yet another triumphant year for Wilson, who won four awards at the 60th Annual ACM Awards earlier this month: Entertainer of the Year (her second consecutive win), Female Artist of the Year (her third consecutive win), Album of the Year (Whirlwind) and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. During the awards ceremony, she also debuted a new song, “Trailblazer,” with Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert, which she wrote with Lambert and Brandy Clark.

Additionally, Wilson is in the midst of her nearly sold-out Whirlwind World Tour, which includes stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Austin’s Moody Center and Denver’s Ball Arena among many others. The upcoming dates follow the tour’s first leg—a completely sold-out extensive run across the U.K and Europe earlier this year. See below for the complete tour itinerary, full details can be found at www.laineywilson.com/tour.

Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Joyce (Miranda Lambert, Eric Church), Whirlwind was released to overwhelming critical attention last summer with The Tennessean calling it “the best release of her career,” while NPR Music praised, “She’s becoming a major headlining country star, and this album feels like it’s cementing that position” and Rolling Stone declared, “her music has a blend of brawn, heart, and willingness to upend the status quo that’s not only listenable, but also the kind of thing you can’t help but root for.”

In just the past year, Wilson was also inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, performed during the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Halftime Show, won Best Country Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards and two awards at the 58th CMA Awards, where she also made her hosting debut alongside Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan. Wilson also received two awards at this year’s ACM Honors: the prestigious Triple Crown Award—presented to those who have won ACM Entertainer of the Year, Female/Male Vocalist of the Year and New Female/Male Vocalist of the Year—and the Milestone Award, which is given to an artist who has had an unprecedented or outstanding year in country music.

A prolific and sought-after songwriter, Wilson has scored eight #1 hits including “4x4xU,” “Watermelon Moonshine” and the 2x Platinum Certified “Heart Like A Truck,” and has collaborated with artists such as Post Malone (“Nosedive”), Cole Swindell (“Never Say Never”), Jelly Roll (“Save Me”), HARDY (“wait in the truck”) and Myles Smith (“Nice To Meet You”). She is also a triple threat within entertainment as a singer, songwriter and actor and will make her feature film acting debut in next year’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Reminders of Him, after first acting in Paramount’s hit television series, Yellowstone. Moreover, Wilson wrote and recorded “Out of Oklahoma,” which was featured in the new Twisters movie.

Ian Munsick Releases 3rd Studio Album, ‘Eagle Feather’

When Wyoming native Ian Munsick performed his sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre debut last year, a surprise on-stage adoption by the Crow Tribe moved him to his core, setting him on a creative trajectory toward his third album. Inspired by the gifts his Native friends presented him that night, including an eagle feather he proudly wears in his hat, the concept and title of Eagle Feather was born.

Listen to Eagle Feather, available everywhere now, HERE.

Eagle Feather is the culmination of a three-part thematic trilogy where Munsick used animals as inspirational spirits, which started with Coyote Cry, his debut album. With the eagle feather representing honor, strength and wisdom, it highlights Munsick’s personal growth through life experiences and lessons learned that have shaped him into who he is.

“If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve been listening to my music for at least a couple years. Some of you have probably even been spreading the word of the west for a decade. No matter what side of the coin you’re on, Eagle Featheris for YOU,” Munsick proclaims. “I can confidently say that this is the best album I’ve made. But it’s not mine anymore… it’s yours.

“All the countless hours we spent pondering lyrics, crafting melodies and tweaking tones were all because we want you to love every second of this project,” he adds. “You have blessed my career beyond belief. Thank you will never be enough, but hopefully this album will. Your next favorite song of mine awaits.”

Eagle Feather opens with the first of three Prairie Laments that bookend the project, appearing at the beginning, middle and end. Setting the tone for the album, Munsick longingly declares his love for Wyoming, and his desire to set his legacy there.

In between, Munsick sets forward the pillars upon which the album’s meaning and message are based: honor, love and authenticity, which in turn, is a code of how to live.

Tapping into his friends was pivotal for this album, as evident in the title track, co-written with singer-songwriter Stephen Wilson Jr. Getting together to write on a late afternoon in Nashville, Munsick shared with him the honor of being adopted into the Crow Tribe. As he listened, Wilson started to play his gut string in his unique tuning. From that, Wilson said, “Gave you my heart like eagle feather,” and just like that, a song was formed.

For a good portion of 2024, Munsick was on the road with another rising Wilson: Lainey. While on the road, he cooked up the deeply personal and delicately poignant “Feather In My Hat.” Munsick knew that if Wilson lent her vocals, it would give it another layer of emotional depth. After a show at New York City’s legendary Radio City Music Hall, Munsick asked Wilson if she’d contribute her vocals. The answer was a resounding yes.

Watch the “Feather In My Hat” official music video, out now, below.

Munsick was also able to draw from personal experiences and stories to show how life’s little moments can be its most impactful. One example of this can be found on “Wolf Creek Road,” a powerful moment where Munsick reflects on a true story after a night out at the rodeo when he was a teenager, when he had a close call and rolled his car. His father, none too pleased, drove him back to that area to show him a wooden cross on the side of the road and didn’t say a word. For Munsick, the silence was deafening and said everything. That “what might have been if you weren’t careful” moment is somberly reflected throughout the song’s gut-wrenching four minutes.

The heaviness of the album culminates in its last track, “The Gate.” The track features three generations of Munsicks, with his father and young son participating in the intro and outro, symbolizing leaving the world, or in this case, the gate, just as good as you found it.

To commemorate the album’s release, Munsick partnered with Montana Silversmiths to launch an exclusive jewelry collection featuring unique pieces that blend traditional Western style with contemporary flair, available now exclusively at Boot Barn Nashville stores and BootBarn.com.

About Ian Munsick
A native son of Wyoming, Ian Munsick has accumulated over 900 million global streams across two albums – Coyote Cry and White Buffalo – and a host of accolades, including 19 awards and 14 festival selections for his documentary, White Buffalo: Voices of the West. Having painted a stampeding, spirited portrait of the American West with his sophomore album White Buffalo in 2023, Munsick is expanding on the concepts of the land, people, culture and stories that inspire him, readying the project’s follow-up 20-track album, Eagle Feather, due on April 18, 2025 via Warner Music Nashville. In addition to selling over 100,000 headlining tickets in 2024, Munsick also opened on select dates of Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again Tour and supported Morgan Wallen on select dates of his record-setting One Night At A Time Tour. Munsick is currently headlining his spring Horses Are Faster Tour. He has been named an “Artist to Watch” by Spotify, CMT, Fender, MusicRow and most recently was named a Martin Showcase Artist. Standout duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson) off of White Buffalo hit No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown, was named one of Amazon Music’s Best Country Songs of 2022 and recently received RIAA Gold-certification alongside “Long Haul” and “Horses Are Faster.” Fans of Ian Munsick will always find an open heart, natural awe and plainspoken honesty as he rides on… bringing the West to the rest. LAINEY WILSON SECURES CMA FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Lainey Wilson entered the 2024 CMA Awards as a host alongside Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning for the first time this year and by the close of the show was awarded two CMA Awards including: Female Vocalist of the Year, her third consecutive win in the category, and Music Video of the Year for her #1 hit song “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”

In her acceptance speech for Female Vocalist of the Year, Lainey shared: "I've always been told if you feel like you've got a gift, you're supposed to share it, and I think that means whether you drive a tractor or pour coffee, make people smile or laugh, whatever that is I think you're supposed to share that gift."

Throughout the broadcast, Lainey would take the stage for two performances — an emotive, cinematic adaption of her current Top 20 and rising Broken Bow Records single “4x4xU” from her 2025 GRAMMY-nominated Country Album of the Year, Whirlwind, and again for the George Strait tribute performing his signature “Amarillo By Morning.” Lainey's live adaptation of "4x4xU" will release tonight to all streaming platforms. Pre-save/pre-add HERE.

BMG Publishing was proud to see writer Dan Wilson capture a CMA Award for Song of the Year for “White Horse,” a track co-penned and recorded by Chris Stapleton.

In addition, 2025 GRAMMY nominee Jelly Roll, a three-time nominee at the 2024 CMA Awards, also hit the stage twice throughout the broadcast — first with Brooks & Dunn, 2024 Duo of the Year winners, for a powerful and moving performance of “Believe” that had the audience in tears and later with Keith Urban on his fiery Stoney Creek Records single “Liar” from his just-released Billboard 200 #1 album, Beautifully Broken.
