BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville singer/songwriter Elvie Shane today releases his much anticipated sophomore album DAMASCUS, an ode to his artistic evolution and deep-feeling take on country music, available to listen HERE. Drawing inspiration from the Apostle Paul’s transformative biblical story and the hardened beauty of ancient steel, each of the 13 tracks find Shane stepping into the shoes of another, taking pieces of each character he’s met on his journey, and melding them into one beautifully woven work. Shane co-wrote all songs on the project produced by his frequent collaborator, Oscar Charles.

“There’s 13 songs on DAMASCUS, and a lot of piss and vinegar,” said Shane. “It’s the ‘Outside Dog’ in me that drives me to do this. Welcome to that autobiography, I’d like to formally introduce myself.”

The Kentucky native teamed up with Little Big Town for his track “First Place,” raising a glass to the everyday victory of just getting by. Shane’s gruff vocals couple with Little Big Town’s robust and iconic sound to deliver an irresistible, harmony-laden cocktail, with notes of “Boondocks” and Steve Earle. Watch the behind-the-scenes music video showcasing the making of “First Place” with Little Big Town and highlights from The Damascus Album Stories Tour HERE.

Ranging from Appalachian electro-punk to defiant heartland hip-hop, grungy gospel blues and neon ‘90s twang, Shane’s influences collide in DAMASCUS to tell his story – one that countless others have experienced in one way or another. The project kicks off with “Outside Dog,'' a me-against-the-world prideful anthem that sets the tone for his transformational turbulence and ultimately, self-discovery. The track is followed by the moody, gospel-rock “What Do I Know,” a scathing look into a world at odds with itself, while “Jonesin’” soulfully preaches about the weight of always needing more.

The album pivots into a new stage of discovery, with the shadowy, electro-soul pulse of "Baptized" and bittersweet blue-collar anthem “Forgotten Man.” Shane tackles the opioid epidemic with the agonizing “Pill,” and the need for prison reform with high-strung, funky “Appalachian Alchemy” and the weary, identity-stripping “215634.” Hope begins to build thanks to the inspirational message of betting on oneself in “Winning Horse.” The tempo picks up with the keys-driven, honky-tonk fun of “Fan On High,” with a reminder to never take life too seriously and the wild-cat swagger of “Chicken Shit.” Shane’s DAMASCUS journey concludes with the heartland-hymn “Does Heaven Have A Creek,” a track that finally finds peace through reflection of what really matters and what comes next.

ELVIE SHANE RELEASES THE REVIVAL ROUSING “DOES HEAVEN HAVE A CREEK” –

BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records singer/songwriter Elvie Shane today releases “Does Heaven Have A Creek,” available to listen HERE. Written solo in the days before recording his imminent album DAMASCUS, “Does Heaven Have A Creek” came from a question Shane once asked himself following the passing of his grandmother, about what really matters, and what comes next. His alluring vocals take you to church, with the heartland hymn serving as another reminder of how the Kentucky native "forces you to rethink anything you think you know, or assume, about the genre’s Music Row bros” (Stereogum).

“‘Does Heaven Have A Creek’ is simply the wondering mind of a believer,” said Shane. “A testimony of hope that Heaven has a few of the simple pleasures we enjoy here on earth. Is Heaven only for A-List Christians? Is there room for a prodigal ‘Good Ole Boy’ from Kentucky just trying to live a decent life and be a good man?”

The track comes as the sixth release from Shane’s sophomore album DAMASCUS, releasing April 19th. Full of unflinching honesty rooted in compassionate clarity, each track steps into the shoes of another, with Shane taking pieces of each character he’s met on his path, melding them into one beautifully woven work. The album is available for pre-order/pre-save/pre-add HERE.

One of Nashville Scene’s “2024 Artists to Watch,” Shane has already garnered buzz for the project, with releases of “Baptized,” “Jonesin’” and “Forgotten Man,” with the latter dubbed “an ode to blue-collar workers that exposes the heart-aching realities of the working class,” (Billboard), and with his track “Pill,” critics praised its gripping honesty as it “further cements Shane as a new voice of the damaged, addicted, and lost in country music,” (Rolling Stone). Shane also recently released “What Do I Know,” along with a moving video to accompany the track featuring a cameo by John Carter Cash, available to watch below.

About Elvie Shane:
With a gritty-yet-gracious fusion of heartland rock and modern country, Kentucky native Elvie Shane has made the conscious decision to aim for impact with his upcoming sophomore release DAMASCUS out April 19. The dynamic project of extremes and deep empathy, sharp-edged fusion of country, rock, hip-hop tells the deeply-layered tale of Shane’s journey – one that countless others struggle to navigate each day. Shane "bravely wrote" (American Songwriter) the album’s lead track “Pill” as a love letter to those struggling with addiction, a reminder that it’s never too late to come back home. It was another shared life experience that earned Shane his Platinum-certified Number One debut, “My Boy.” The tender tribute to the unconditional love of stepparents took Shane from a country road to the top of the charts, touring the country’s biggest stages as well as overseas and racked up over 400 million streams and counting. The road to Damascus isn't a journey one takes lightly, yet the album tells the stories of those often untold, giving each testimony a chance to shine through. Shane co-wrote all songs on the project produced by his frequent collaborator, Oscar Charles.

"I feel like I’ve grown a lot since Backslider. I’ve attained just about everything I ever dreamed of…seen the world and made a living with music. I’ve been on top and back down in the mud,” said Shane.  "In that travel and experience, I’ve paid close attention to people more than anything. I’ve seen a lot of struggle, but in that struggle I found common ground and inspiration. Damascus is a record that aims to pick a fight with what holds people down. Normal every day Blue Collar America…my people. These are not all my stories, but they are all stories I believe to be true. But 'What do I Know.’"

ELVIE SHANE RELEASES DEEPLY PERSONAL SONG “PILL,” A MESSAGE TO THOSE STRUGGLING WITH ADDICTION, OUT NOW

No stranger to creating work that “exposes the heart-aching realities of the working class” (Billboard), BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records singer/songwriter Elvie Shane continues to shed light on the struggles of his community and many others with new track “Pill,” available to listen below. Draped in harrowing lyricism, written by Shane, Lee Starr, and Nick Columbia and produced by Oscar Charles, “Pill” delivers a love letter to those struggling with addiction that perfectly illustrates what it means to be affected by its all-encompassing path of destruction.

“Pill is my story, told from the perspective of a note to me from my little brother in my most trying times. It’s an apology to those I love for the turmoil I put them through,” Shane said. “But for me this goes way beyond just what my family and I have gone through. I want to be a vessel and share other people’s struggles and experiences, even if it helps one person, that means I did my job.”

Along with the track, Shane released a visualizer for “Pill,” welcoming those at any stage of recovery with the porch light on and the front door unlocked, reminding them it’s never too late to come back home.

Recently wrapping a busy summer on the road, Shane is set to perform in Lexington, KY tonight (9/29), and Mount Airy, NC tomorrow (9/30), along with a slot at Riverfront Revival next weekend in North Charleston, NC (10/7). He next hits the road for a supporting stint with Kameron Marlowe this fall beginning in Los Angeles, CA (10/26). Tickets and more information available HERE.

ELVIE SHANE IS RELENTLESSLY “JONESIN’” IN NEW SONG OUT TODAY

BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records singer/songwriter Elvie Shane, champion of the next blue-collar generation with “backwoods growl and heartland rock sound” (Billboard), drops the soulful anthem “Jonesin’,” available to listen here. With chills-evoking vocals and a driving bassline, the track finds Shane with a hell too hot and a heaven too high, unsatisfied by a life spent stagnant in the same rhythm. Written by Shane, Oscar Charles, Ryan Tyndall and Jeremy Spillman and produced by Oscar Charles, “Jonesin’” bears the passion of those born to chase the fire, those who burn for taking life by the scruff of its neck.

“”Jonesin’” is all about our vices and failures in the pursuit of satisfaction and happiness,” said Shane. “ It came with the realization that you could have everything you’ve ever dreamed of and still be left feeling empty at times. That’s just life. But that void can be a beautiful thing when used as fuel. It can piss you off enough to quit the bad habits or fire you up enough to chase the seemingly unattainable.”

“Jonesin’" follows up Shane’s recently released tracks “Baptized” and “Forgotten Man,” where “Baptized” shows how he “steps outside the bounds of traditional country music to explore his gospel side” as his “raw grit propels through the lyrics” (Country Now). “Forgotten Man” received critical praise from Rolling Stone, citing how he "expertly sums up what it means to be blue-collar in the 21st century in this defiant, angry country single that would do Merle Haggard proud.”

Shane has kept busy this summer on the road, with headline shows and appearances at CMA Fest, Country Fest and more, as well as joining select dates with The Cadillac Three. He’s set to perform in Watertown, SD tonight, and Saturday in Wayne, NE as well as other select dates this fall opening for Kameron Marlowe. He also has stops in Rock Springs, WY, Salt Lake City, UT, Denver, CO and Colorado Springs, CO next week.

About Erin Kinsey
Texas native Erin Kinsey may be a country music newcomer, but she’s been hard at work since she was 11 years old. Now 21, she is the epitome of a 10-year overnight success who has established herself as a Nashville singer-songwriter with a bright future ahead of her. Having moved from Texas to Tennessee the morning after her high school graduation, Kinsey quickly immersed herself in country music, and in return she was embraced by music insiders who have helped her reach her larger-than-life goals. And so far, so good. She consistently receives close to 10 million views when she posts an original song on TikTok, and her debut single, “Just Drive,” is impacting country radio now. The song has been featured on SiriusXM’s The Highway “On The Horizon” and has over 22 million views/streams to date and counting. Kinsey is signed to RECORDS Nashville, a joint venture with Sony Music, and her debut EP, 40 East, releases on March 25. Where she goes from here is just about everywhere. About Ian Munsick
Breathing fresh Rocky Mountain air into the Nashville music scene, Ian Munsick is pioneering a new brand of country. The Wyoming-born singer / songwriter’s upbringing was a mix of working the ranch and working crowds. Under the tutelage of their fiddle-playing father, Munsick and his two older brothers grew up playing everything from bluegrass to The Beatles. Incorporating elements across genres, he has now begun to establish himself as a progressive artist with an old soul. Captivated by traditional lyrical truth and the modern soundscape, Munsick followed his ear to Music City. In 2017 he released a self-titled EP, winning iHeartRadio’s Rocky Mountain Song of the Year for the rootsy “Horses Are Faster.” Since then, Munsick has signed a major label record deal with Warner Music Nashville, earned more than 150 million global streams and picked up another Song of the Year Award for his imagery-soaked ode to the west, “Long Haul.” His debut album Coyote Cry features his mile-high tenor underscoring self-penned songs that conjure equal parts epic adventure and down-to-earth wisdom. The record marks the dawn of western pop-laced country, pulling a thread straight from Chris LeDoux through Post Malone. Munsick, who was named to Spotify’s inaugural Hot Country Artists to Watch class, is starting 2022 as a MusicRow Next Big Thing artist. In addition to his own headlining dates, he is currently on the road alongside label mate and duet partner Cody Johnson. Fans are finding that with Ian Munsick, western country is reborn. For more information, visit IanMunsick.com.

About Chase Rice
With more than 2.2 million albums sold and over 2.1 billion total streams, plus a legion of passionate fans at his high-energy concerts across the globe, Chase Rice has established himself as a powerful force in Nashville and beyond – yet he genuinely sees current single “If I Were Rock & Roll,” available everywhere now, as the launching pad for music that says what he wants to say, how he wants to say it. The song serves as a follow up to his three-part project, The Album, featuring his latest No. 1 hit, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen. (feat. Florida Georgia Line)” and Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “Lonely If You Are.” This is the same gravelly-voiced Chase Rice fans first fell in love with years ago – but better. Freer. Unbeholden and uninhibited, somehow capable of evoking Chris LeDoux and The Chronic, campfire singalongs and stadium anthems, all at once. The new music builds upon the success of his sophomore album, Lambs & Lions, which featured the Double-Platinum, two-week chart topper “Eyes On You” – Rice’s first No. 1 as an artist and the most-streamed song of his career. Lambs & Lions followed Ignite the Night, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre chart, producing a pair of Top 5 hits; “Ready Set Roll” and “Gonna Wanna Tonight.” In addition to selling out arenas with Kane Brown and stadiums with Kenny Chesney, Rice also opened for Garth Brooks to 70K+ at Detroit’s Ford Field in early 2020 and has consistently sold out 3,000+ seat venues on his own headlining tours. For more information, visit ChaseRice.com and follow Rice on Facebook, Twitter and TikTok @ChaseRiceMusic and on Instagram@ChaseRice.

About Elvie Shane
As a native of small-town Kentucky, early touchstones like Dwight Yoakam, Steve Earle and John Fogerty joined Wheelhouse Records’ Elvie Shane’s Gospel roots to form the bedrock of his taste – along with R&B classics like The Temptations and modern superstars like Eminem. Shane’s new single “County Roads” is officially available at country radio now, and was one of the most added songs at country radio upon release. Shane just celebrated multiple milestones with his hit single “My Boy” topping the charts at country radio and being certified Gold by the RIAA. “My Boy” is taken from Shane’s just-released debut full length album Backslider. Shane co-wrote the set that embodies the crunchy hooks of classic rock, the nostalgia of country music as well as the emotional electricity of Gospel and R&B. Critics have already been quick to praise the cohesive set with the album landing on 2021 “Best Of” lists including Billboard, Rolling Stone and Nashville Scene. “If you listen to just one major-label debut by a dude this year, consider Elvie Shane’s” declared Rolling Stone, while Stereogum noted the record “forces you to rethink anything you think you know, or assume, about the genre’s Music Row bros.” Billboard also determined Shane is “making the case for a new mainstay in country music.” The singer/songwriter recently announced his first-ever headlining run, with his My Kinda Trouble Tour now underway. The multi-city stint will see Shane play major cities including Chicago, Ill., Nashville, Tenn. and more, and will mark some of Shane’s first live performances of Backslider. Shane has opened for Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Brothers Osborne, Brett Young and Lady A, to name a few. Shane also just wrapped a stint on the road opening for Brooks & Dunn on their 2021 Reboot Tour. For more information, visit ElvieShane.com.
