George Strait and Chris Stapleton Extend Run of Stadium Shows for 2025

George Strait continues to prove why he’s been dubbed the King of Country, setting a record for the largest single ticketed concert in U.S. History and a new record for Texas A&M Kyle Field for a single event with 110,905 fans in attendance for George Strait: The King at Kyle Field. The record-breaking performance was one of only 10 live shows from Strait last year including a supersized stop at Allegiant Stadium for his 37th Strait to Vegas show.

The country music icon along with eleven-time GRAMMY winner Chris Stapleton will continue the excitement with five shows in 2025. Joining Strait and Stapleton for this run of one-off stadium dates will be special guest Parker McCollum for the Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Foxborough dates with Little Big Town joining for the only west coast show at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium.

“I keep trying to slow down a bit but you keep calling me back. Please don’t ever stop. I still love it just as much as I always have,” shares Strait. “Thank you for an amazing year last year and I can’t wait to see you for a few more again this year. Chris will be back and glad to have Little Big Town with us in LA. For the other cities, we’ve added Parker M. to the show which will be outstanding. Can’t wait to see you!!”

Of his stop at New Jersey’s Metlife Stadium last year The Associated Press opined, “Strait turned a space of tens of thousands across many demographics into something resembling the intimacy of those honky tonks he’s always singing about.” Bringing “a big band and a lot of heart” for what AP describes as the “closest a person can get to levitation…singing along to ‘Amarillo by Morning’ in a stadium of tens of thousands.”

While Pollstar opines, “Strait remains the most worthy inheritor of Merle Haggard or Willie Nelson’s mantle of country icon through the meaningful fluidity with which he moves through country’s various sub-strains with the same ease and enjoyment that marked both men’s Country Music Hall of Fame careers.”

Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. local time via GeorgeStrait.com. American Express is providing Card Members access to Amex Presale Tickets™, available for purchase starting Thursday, February 20, before the general public on-sale, while supplies last. Terms apply.

It’s been 15 years since The New York Times praised Strait as “a country superstar in complete command of his gift,” and with the arrival of his 31st studio album for MCA last year, Cowboys And Dreamers, that statement rings just as true. Filled with classic country honky-tonkers about drinkin’ and not thinkin’ as well as sad songs and ballads about loss and cheatin’, listen to the album Cowboys & Indians Magazine notes is “a cornucopia of trad-country-arrangement beauty,” HERE.

The follow-up to Honky Tonk Time Machine, Strait’s 27th No. 1 Billboard Country album, Cowboys And Dreamers was named “album of the week” by Associated Press, and features 13 new songs, including “Three Drinks Behind,” “MIA Down in MIA,” “The Little Things,” “Honky Tonk Hall Of Fame” featuring Chris Stapleton and Strait’s rendition of Waylon Jennings’ “Waymore’s Blues” which all have made appearances in his live set.

About Chris Stapleton
Kentucky-born Chris Stapleton is an 11x Grammy, 19x CMA and 19x ACM Award-winner and one of the country’s most respected and beloved musicians. In the midst of yet another triumphant year, Stapleton recently won Best Country Solo Performance at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards (“It Takes A Woman”) as well as three trophies at the CMA Awards this past fall. With the accolades, Stapleton tied the record for most CMA wins ever with Brooks & Dunn (19), while also extending his own record for most wins in the Male Vocalist of the Year category (8).

These achievements follow the release of Stapleton’s widely acclaimed album, Higher (Mercury Nashville). Produced by Dave Cobb, Morgane Stapleton and Chris Stapleton, the record landed on several “Best of” lists including BillboardEsquireVulture and Rolling Stone, who praised, “dazzling…the best evidence yet for the way one man’s voice has become synonymous with the very idea of a musical genre.” Additionally, GQ declared, “In an age rife with division, he’s maybe the only thing Americans all agree on…one of the most reliable hit makers in music.”

Stapleton has also recently collaborated with artists such as Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Slash and George Strait, released a version of Tom Petty’s “I Should Have Known It” for the new Tom Petty tribute album and returned to NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” for the third time as musical guest. Known for his electric live performances, Stapleton will continue his “All-American Road Show” tour through this fall including back-to-back stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Denver’s Ball Arena, Tinley Park’s Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre and Phoenix’s Desert Diamond Arena as well as several dates across Australia and New Zealand.

Stapleton and his wife, Morgane, are founders of the Outlaw State of Kind charitable fund, which supports a variety of causes that are close to their hearts, while Stapleton also recently unveiled Traveller Whiskey, created in partnership with Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley.

His most recent album, Never Enough (released on May 12, 2023, via MCA Nashville), is a statement collection of music that cements his status as one of Country's strongest new voices. McCollum has been named an ‘Artist to Watch’ by Rolling StoneBillboard, SiriusXM, CMT, RIAA, and more with American Songwriter noting, “The Texas native teeters on the edge of next-level superstardom.” Music Row listed McCollum as their 2021 Breakout Artist of the Year and Apple also included him as one of their all-genre "Up Next Artists" Class of 2021. A dedicated road warrior, McCollum made his debut at the famed Grand Ole Opry in 2021 and has sold out major concert venues around the U.S. In March 2022, McCollum made his debut at RODEOHOUSTON to a sold-out crowd with over 73,000 tickets sold, returning to perform at the Opening Day celebration in 2023. He recently made a dream come true with his first-ever Austin City Limits performance, kicking off their 2023 season. In 2022, McCollum earned his first ACM Award for New Male Artist of the Year, took home “Breakthrough Video of the Year” (a fully fan-voted honor) at the 2022 CMT Music Awards and scored two back-to-back CMA Awards nominations (2022 & 2023) for New Artist of the Year. He is nominated for another CMA Award for "Song of the Year" (2024) for his explosive Platinum hit "Burn It Down" - marking his third straight nomination. Recently, McCollum scored his second ACM Award for “Visual Media of the Year” for his music video for “Burn It Down.” The hit single marks his fourth consecutive #1 - following his other chart toppers "Pretty Heart," "To Be Loved By You," and "Handle On You." McCollum's latest single, the foot-stomping, shoot-it-straight, "What Kinda Man," shows his return to the musical Texas roots that got him started. "What Kinda Man" is available now. McCollum is set to kick-off his 2025 What Kinda Man Tour in January.

About Little Big Town:
GRAMMY, ACM, CMA, AMA, and Emmy Award-winning group, Little Big Town – consisting of members Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook – burst onto the music scene 25 years ago with smash hits “Boondocks,” “Bring It On Home,” “Good As Gone” and the GRAMMY-nominated “Little White Church.” The band’s breakthrough albums Tornado and PainKiller produced multiple No. 1 singles, including “Pontoon,” “Tornado,” and “Day Drinking,” as well as the history-making, best-selling country single of 2015’s “Girl Crush.” 2017’s The Breaker debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Charts to critical acclaim and features their GRAMMY-winning, multi-week #1 single, “Better Man,” as well as the 2019 GRAMMY-nominated, “When Someone Stops Loving You.” In January 2020, the band released their self-produced ninth studio album, Nightfall, which once again hit the top of the Billboard Country Charts. In September 2022, they released their tenth studio album, Mr. Sun, which debuted as the Top Country Album released by a Group in 2022. To date, Little Big Town has earned more than 45 award show nominations and has taken home over 20 awards, including multiple GRAMMY, AMA, People’s Choice, CMA, and ACM Awards, in addition to an Emmy award. 2024 was a landmark year for Little Big Town with several groundbreaking firsts. Celebrations continued through the end of the year as the band embarked on a U.S. tour — Take Me Home Tour — with special guests and longtime collaborators, Sugarland. They wrapped up their momentous year by hosting their first ever holiday special on NBC, “Little Big Town’s Christmas at the Opry.”

LAINEY WILSON TAKES HOME HER FIRST GRAMMY® FOR BEST COUNTRY ALBUM WITH BELL BOTTOM COUNTRY

Broken Bow Records/BMG Nashville's Lainey Wilson reached a new pinnacle in her record breaking career when she was awarded the Best Country Album GRAMMY®for Bell Bottom Country.  The album, which features #1 hits "Heart Like a Truck" and "Watermelon Moonshine" alongside her current single "Wildflowers and Wild Horses", has served to be a truly life-changing record for the Louisiana native as it is the reigning Album of the Year for both the Academy of Country Music (ACM) & Country Music Association (CMA) Awards.

On the CBS televised broadcast, an emotional Lainey Wilson fought off tears as she accepted stating: "This is absolutely wild y'all. This is my very first GRAMMYS®. Thank you so much for my collaborators: Jay Joyce, Jason [Hall], the cowriters, musicians, anybody who had anything to do with this record. It has truly changed my life. I am from a farming community in NE Louisiana. A little town of 200 people. I'm a fifth-generation farmer's daughter and I would consider myself a farmer, too. And everybody that I surround myself with, I think they are farmers, too. They're story farmers. It's about getting up every single day and planting those seeds and watering them and watching them grow. And sometimes, when you find the right farming community, you can have a harvest of a lifetime. I truly believe that. I think that is exactly what this is tonight. God bless every single one of y'all. Thank you Jesus. Thank you so much to the Recording Academy. Thank you to my fans. I love y'all so much."

Coming off of a monumental 2023, Lainey won five CMA Awards including the top honor of "Entertainer of the Year", four ACM Awards, two CMT Music Awards, three People's Choice Country Awards, completed a 28-date sold-out headlining tour, and made her Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Lollapalooza debut. Wilson was also honored as Billboard Women in Music’s 2023 “Rulebreaker”. Fans can catch Lainey on the road this year as she embarks on the highly anticipated "Country's Cool Again" and “Lainey Wilson: LIVE” tours in 2024.

BMG Publishing was also proud to see writer Dan Wilson and co-writer Chris Stapleton land an industry coveted GRAMMY® for Best Country Song for "White Horse."

About Lainey Wilson:

Entering the 2024 GRAMMYS® with two nominations, Lainey Wilson would earn her first GRAMMY® for Best Country Album for Bell Bottom Country.  This milestone comes on the heels of a monumental 2023 where she was the most nominated artist at the CMA Awards with a record-breaking nine nominations, and five wins including Entertainer of the Year, Lainey Wilson has earned the enthusiasm of the industry. Critically acclaimed and touted as a top “artist to watch,” to being the leading female nominee and winner at the 2023 ACM Awards and CMT Music Awards, the Louisiana native has made a name for herself in the industry as one of music’s hottest and most buzzed-about new artists. Landing her first No. 1 with her PLATINUM Certified ACM Song of the Year, “Things A Man Oughta Know,” nearly 10 years to the day after leaving her small farming community in a camper trailer to chase her dreams, she has won over legions of fans with her signature Bell Bottom Country sound and aesthetic, which blends traditional Country with a modern yet retro flare. A prolific and sought-after songwriter (having co-writer credits on songs by artists including Luke Combs, Flatland Calvary, Ashley McBryde, Jackson Dean, Ashley Cooke, Mackenzie Porter, and more). With a rockstar stage presence, her artistry has taken her across the globe, performing for sold-out crowds throughout the US, UK, and Germany with notable names like Jon Pardi, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, HARDY, Jason Aldean, and more. Last year she achieved her third and fourth No. 1 songs with “Heart Like a Truck” and HARDY collaboration “wait in the truck”. Her most recent singles, “Watermelon Moonshine” and “Save Me” with Jelly Roll topped the Country charts marking her fifth and sixth No. 1’s, making her the lead female artist with the most No.1’s this decade. Her critically acclaimed album, Bell Bottom Country, rose up Billboard’s Top Album Chart and Country Albums Chart, amassing over 700 million streams to date and has earned her the title of CMA and ACM Album of the Year.  Wilson made her acting debut in Season 5 of the smash hit series “Yellowstone” as a musician character named Abby, where she premiered her original “Smell Like Smoke” as well as showcased other hits off her recent album including “Watermelon Moonshine” and “Hold My Halo”. Adding to her growing list of endeavors, Wilson was honored at Billboard’s Women in Music Awards with the Rulebreaker Award, and most recently joined forces with Wrangler as the face of their 2023 fall/winter women's collection.

Donations will be matched up to $25,000 October 1-21

The fifth annual “Heal The Music Day” will be October 21, 2022 and music makers across all genres are invited to join Chris & Morgan Stapleton, Lauren Daigle, Keith Urban, Rodney Crowell, Ronnie Dunn, Tina Parol, Vince Gill, Wiatr & Associates, and many more to raise awareness and funding to support Music Health Alliance (MHA). In just nine years, MHA has provided free healthcare advocacy and access to life-saving health and financial resources to more than 18,000 working music professionals nationwide and is entirely funded through individual and corporate donations and grants.

Launched in 2017, Heal The Music Day is the brainchild of Grammy-winning musician Rodney Crowell who is championing this year’s campaign with MHA in an effort to raise awareness and support for the emergency and ongoing medical needs of our country’s creative community, 76% of whom are self- employed or part of a small business, many with limited and unpredictable resources, and often uninsured or under-insured for healthcare. To participate, members of the music community — including artists, songwriters, producers, publishers, publicists, promoters, business managers, record label executives, booking agents, attorneys, venues, stylists and more — can pledge a percentage of a single day earnings or event to support MHA’s life-saving services and help their fellow music makers who are in need.

“In the world of the working musician, good health is something most of us take for granted - that is, until something goes wrong,” says Crowell. “The healthcare advocates at MHA ensure that no music professional must face a healthcare crisis alone. It is crucial to support MHA’s work to heal the music and the best part is that music makers don’t have to do anything that they are not already doing. Pledges can be as simple as a percent of a concert, event, creative work, or single donation made for Heal The Music Day October 21.”

Through personal and compassionate healthcare advocates, Music Health Alliance’s free services range from access to doctors, specialists, diagnostic testing, hospitals, medicine, health insurance, Medicare and senior care, mental health support, dental and vision resources, end of life care, and financial assistance resources during times of illness. For every $1 donated, MHA can provide $30 in healthcare support and services.

“Heal The Music Day is not only our largest fundraiser, but also an opportunity for the music industry to step up and support their fellow musicians in need. The need for our services has increased more than 65% this year over last, with mental health support growing more than 300% over the past two years. Our goal is to raise more than $300,000 this year to meet the continued increase in critical need and ensure that nobody working in the music industry will ever have to walk a health crisis alone. Heal The Music Day is a great investment into the long-term health and wellness of the music industry as a whole,” says Tatum Allsep, MHA Founder and CEO.

Pledges made for Heal The Music Day will continue the impact of MHA’s services on our country’s working musicians since 2013.

• Healthcare support for 18,000 music industry professionals served in 49 states
• 2,380 families saved from bankruptcy due to medical bills
• 28 music professionals assisted with life-saving heart, liver, kidney, and lung transplants
• More than 912,000 meals, medicine, health insurance premiums, and doctor visits provided for the most vulnerable music industry professionals during Covid relief
• $85 million in healthcare costs saved for working musicians and their families

Become a Heal The Music Day partner and make a pledge at: www.healthemusic.com. Through an anonymous matching donor, all donations made October 1-21 will be matched up to $25,000, doubling the impact of donations by music makers and music supporters alike.

Making his first return to the venue since 2001, Strait will be joined by special guests Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town, each gracing the stadium stage for the first time.

“For nearly two hours, he and his Ace in the Hole Band delivered nearly two and a half dozen songs, giving another big, rowdy crowd plenty to sing along to and plenty to cheer about,” noted the Kansas City Star during Strait’s 2014 Cowboy Rides Away arena tour stop in the city. “When you’re that good and you’ve played those songs so many times, it’s not hard to make what’s exceptional look easy.”

With an unmatched 60 singles hitting the top of the charts—more than any other artist in any genre—during the span of his 30+ year career, Strait has collected 33 Platinum or multi-Platinum-selling albums, more than any other Country artist and ranking third across all genres behind The Beatles and Elvis Presley. The Texas troubadour is the only artist or act in history to have a Top 10 hit every year for over three decades and recently earned his 100th entry on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with his latest single, “The Weight of the Badge.” He has sold nearly 70 million albums and earned more than 60 major entertainment industry awards, including induction in the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006.

The show will mark the 54th concert or music festival in GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium history and will be the 15th concert performance that the stadium has hosted since 2011. The 2022 show will be Strait’s fourth performance (1998-99, 2001) at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

“George Strait has a history of great performances at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him back for the first time since 2001 this summer. We’re looking forward to seeing the rest of this talented lineup take the stage as well,” Chiefs President Mark Donovan said. “We know how beloved George is in Kansas City and across the nation, and we are thrilled to have him return to our stadium for another incredible show.”
