Their June 2026 music video for ‘Threats’ has already garnished an award at the Hollywood Indie Film Fest for “Best Music Video Low Budget” and “Best Director Music Video” at the Tokyo Film and Screenplay Awards.

Miss May I Share "Death Threat" Video — WATCH // Band Touring This Fall

MISS MAY I  Levi Benton [vocals], Jerod Boyd [drums], Ryan Neff [bass], and Elisha Mullins [guitar ] — will unleash their new album NO PLACE FOR ME on October 2 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here.

The band delivers the video for "DEATH THREAT." Watch it below.

The video is also completely DIY endeavor for the band. The concept was conceived by Benton and produced and directed by William Story and the video was shot at the band's own properties and with whatever they could get their hands on!

The song confronts a harsh but necessary reality so many are unwilling to face in order to grow and learn. And it does so with with groove-centric, anthemic energy.

"'Death Threat' is about being held in an emotional chokehold while someone uses your own flaws against you," declares Benton. "Our darker habits deserve to be seen and worked through, not weaponized. The song walks through that worst-case scenario — someone turning your darkness on you — before landing on clarity; finally hearing what needs to be heard and doing what needs to be done."

Regarding the album, the singer reveals it was a truly cathartic process to write and record it, saying, "No Place For Me is everything I've felt for a long time but never had the words for. Writing it taught me who I actually am even when that hurt to look at. It's a full journey: Where it started, what I discovered, and where I am today." These are the tentpole concepts of the album and are why fans are going to connect with it on a level so deep, it touches marrow.

Miss May I have also announced their Fall 2026 tour plans. They will hit the road on the The Perpetual Iron tour, which is a co-headline trek with Born of Osiris. Convictions and Downswing will also appear. All dates are below. Get tickets here.

Instead of letting doubts, anxiety, negativity, and intrusive thoughts run wild, Miss May I will catch and turn even the most volatile feelings into airtight anthems. The Ohio-bred quartet ground extreme emotions in a taut framework of technically adroit riffing, hardcore grooves, and unforgettable melodies. The band has expertly honed an uncanny ability to make sense of life on tape. That's why fans worldwide have leaned on the group's music since their emergence in 2007. Following years of grinding, 2012's At Heart marked a breakthrough moment for the group when it bowed at #32 on the Billboard 200. Their impact only expanded with Deathless [2015] and Shadows Inside [2017], which both debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard Top Independent Albums Chart and Top Rock Albums Chart. In 2022, Curse Of Existence received widespread critical acclaim from the likes of Alternative Presswho raved: "Miss May I have penned one of their strongest records yet." V13 hailed it as "packed full of emotion and heartfelt rage," and Outburn marveled at "their fast, aggressive, thrashy metalcore mixed with powerful lyrics." Along the way, they generated hundreds of millions of streams and toured with everyone from Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive to Motionless In White. In 2026, the collective continue to strike a deep chord with their eighth full-length offering and Solid State debut LP, No Place For Me.

From Ashes to New Share New Version of "Die For You" (Feat. Neoni)

FROM ASHES TO NEW are serving up their current single "Die For You," from the recently-released album REFLECTIONS, out now via Better Noise Music, with an exhilarating twist.

The new version features guest vocals from Neoni, the alt-pop sister duo behind the self-proclaimed motto "sisters who argue and write songs."

 Listen here.

"Die For You," which enjoyed a viral moment as the band took a firm and active stance against bullying, climbing the Active Rock Charts and currently sits at No. 15. The song is the follow up to "Drag Me," the band's first-ever No. 1 at rock radio.

The band took an active stance against bullying, which demonstrated the depth of their connection with their fans. The band posted a video of one of their fans singing "Die For You" at a show, and noticed bullying comments being made towards the fan and immediately leapt to her defense. Brandyberry doubled down and addressed this behavior from the stage, reinforcing the fact that the band will not tolerate such antics. The band also reached out to the fan and promised her lifetime guest lists to their shows.

The track is now available as a new version where the sisters' voices offer a stunning sonic counterpoint to those of vocalists Matt Brandyberry and Danny Case, further amplifying the song's moody melodies and emotional heft.

Watch the visualizer below

"Neoni has such a unique identity and brings an energy to their music that we really love," states Brandyberry. "'Die For You' felt like the perfect opportunity to bring our separate sides of the alternative worlds together and create something that feels fresh, emotional, and uniquely ours."

Neoni echo the excitement, saying, "It was such a pleasure to work with everyone in From Ashes to New to add our perspective to such an incredible song. We had so much fun and we can't wait for you to hear it."

FROM ASHES TO NEW  — Danny Case (vocals), Matt Brandyberry (vocals), Lance Dowdle (guitar), Maty Madiro (drums), and Jimmy Bennett (guitar) — will remain on the road all year, with a massive touring schedule planned.  All confirmed FATN tour dates are below.

Windwaker Share "do or die" Video

Australia's genre-bending WINDWAKER — vocalist Liam Guinane, guitarist Justin Keurntjes, bassist Indey Salvestro, drummer Chris Lalic, and synths/samples specialist Connor Robins — recently announced their third album, smile, you're on camera. It arrives on October 23 through Fearless Records. Pre-order it here.

The band has share the video for "do or die." Watch it below

You know those songs that you just can't get out of your head? No matter what you do you, you can't purge it or turn it off? Rather, it insists on taking up real estate in your brain because it's so damn catchy and, well, good? Windwaker's "do or die" is one of those earworms — it takes hold and doesn't let go. With grinding, powerhouse guitar grooves, bouncy, hip-hop-inspired vocals, a sprinkling of smooth and sexy falsetto, and teeth-baring screams, "do or die" courses like an electric current from your scalp down to your toes. Lyrically, the song looks at class vs. culture wars, with the band noting that the track "points out the division we're currently facing and urges the people to embrace the tribe mentality but to unify over the common enemy of leaders who don’t serve our best interests."

"Everywhere we look there is conflict, we are surrounded by it and have never been so divided as a humanity," the band says. "Wars between countries, toxic online discourse over ideology, countries divided over political policy from within, what we think is right and wrong has become a tribe identity and we are at war with one another. Leaders will call it a 'culture war' when in reality it's a way of keeping us distracted from class war that has been happening for decades. 'do or die' points out the division we're currently facing and urges the people to embrace the tribe mentality but to unify over the common enemy of leaders who don’t serve our best interests."

As a whole, smile, you're on camera. ruminates on the weight of time and growth, struggles and sacrifice for the better life and authenticity in spite of a world full of superficial and sinister characters and bad actors. It's a collection of catchy, energetic and heartfelt songs. The album is highly introspective and does not follow a linear narrative, instead presenting a series of personal reflections and snapshots that capture the emotional highs and lows of this period. It's a celebration of how far the band has come and a candid look at the pressure of being seen, leaving listeners with a sense of both resolution and ongoing evolution.

YELLOWCARD ANNOUNCE DIGITAL EXCLUSIVE EXPANDED ALBUM "BETTER DAYS" (DELUXE EDITION) + SHARE NEW SONG "CALVARY DRIVE"

Celebrating a creative renaissance in 2026, multi-platinum pop-punk royalty Yellowcard brighten up a banner year with the release of their brand new, digital-only Deluxe Edition of Better Days on September 18 via Better Noise. Teasing this expanded version, the group also just served up a new and and previously unreleased song, entitled "Calvary Drive," out now.

Pre-order/Pre-save Better Days (Deluxe Edition) here.

Listen to "Calvary Drive" here

Watch the lyric video below.

"Calvary Drive" finds Yellowcard firing on all cylinders yet again. It bursts to life with driving guitars, infectious hooks, and the kind of kinetic energy that's become the band's trademark. It culminates on an anthemic chorus spiked with a sunny melody and showcases every bit of what fans have come to love and expect from the four-piece.

"'Calvary Drive' was the very first demo we worked on with Travis Barker and our friend Nick Long," says singer Ryan Key. "We were just getting a feel for working together over a weekend and had no idea that this idea would be the spark for what became Better Days. It’s fun to listen back now and hear where we started, and how much the sound evolved from there.”

Barker fondly recalls the experience as “such an easy project and easy group of guys to make music with,” with the whole band fully invested in the process: “Everyone in the band was really active and really a part of everything in the studio.” One song became another, a day became weeks, and before long an entire record had emerged from a collaboration that was never originally intended to go that far. “Next thing you know it was like we’re getting back in the studio and we were scheduling weeks to work with each other and recorded an entire album.” What began as Travis Barker simply jumping in for a day had organically become the album Better Days. And it's that partnership that blossomed into a collaboration with another legacy hitmaker: Avril Lavigne.

"My friend Travis [Barker] called me up to say he was producing the new Yellowcard album and I really liked what I heard," Lavigne shared. "When he played me 'You Broke Me Too,' I liked how it can be an anthem people can relate to when finding hope after a relationship." The pairing felt particularly fitting: a song conceived in the spirit of the huge, emotionally charged ballads that helped define the early 2000s ultimately brought together two artists synonymous with that era, with Barker acting as the bridge between them.

The new material notably lands in the wake of the cross-generational phenomenon "Bedroom Posters" (Feat. Blippi). The reimagined track landed looks from Rock Sound and New Noise Magazine, who applauded how, "This version of the song preserves the original's high-spirit energy and Blippi adds his own distinctive spark to it." "Bedroom Posters" marked their second collab with Blippi following "Go Go Go."

At the top of the year, the band teamed up with Good Charlotte for the first collaborative version of "Bedroom Posters." Popping off as a match made in pop-punk heaven, it tallied 2.6 million Spotify streams and vaulted to #1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay Chart. A piece on Consequence applauded how "the song finds Key trading vocals with Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden," while Rolling Stone put it best: "It's the collaboration made in pop-punk dreams."

Two #1 singles coming from the one album, this signals not only a return to form, but a undeniable triumph; a band that still cuts through the noise nearly three decades into their career.

Next up, Yellowcard will canvas North America throughout the rest of August and into September on tour. They make stops at Musikfest 2026, Vans Warped Tour, Oceans Calling Festival, and more. In November, they cross the pond to hit the road in Europe and the UK with Good Charlotte.

Ian Munsick’s 4th Studio Album, THE MOUNTAIN GOAT, is Available Now

As one of modern country’s few Rocky Mountain artists – and the only one to merge its timeless traditions with an electrifying roots-pop edge – Wyoming native Ian Munsick has taken his music to the wild places few singer-songwriters go. Yet with his fourth album, The Mountain Goat, he climbs farther out on his creative ledge than ever, all to prove Western culture is not a costume.

Listen to The Mountain Goat, available now, HERE

Marking his first independent album and the start of a new partnership between his own WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records, Munsick remains as sure footed as his project’s fearless namesake, thriving in the isolation of a Western-flavored country pop frontier. But over a series of dizzying vocal peaks, new themes of incomparable beauty and harrowing hardship find the sonic homesteader in close harmony with nature.

“As usual, I just want to make sure the part of the country I come from is accurately portrayed in country music,” he explains. “There’s a lot of country in the Rockies and out West that needs representation, and I truly believe that’s a world where I will never run out of creative ammunition.”

Brought up in the shadow of the Big Horns on a family ranch outside of Sheridan, Wyoming, it’s a world Munsick knows by heart. Singing in the family string band before emerging as a solo artist in 2017, he earned the tongue-in-cheek “Mountain G.O.A.T.” title through hardscrabble success, wielding a tenor vocal as crisp as a mile-high morning.

Racking up over one billion career streams between previous albums Coyote CryWhite Buffalo, and Eagle Feather, Munsick has produced one RIAA-Platinum duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson) – which also hit No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown – plus two Gold-certified hits: “Long Haul” and “Horses Are Faster.” Spotify, CMT, and the Grand Ole Opry were among the taste-making institutions to recognize Munsick’s vision, and concertgoers across the globe found a Western authenticity that can’t be faked – at least, not where Munsick’s from. It allowed him to make history in 2025, becoming the first Wyoming-born artist to headline Cheyenne Frontier Days, the iconic rodeo known around the world as the “Daddy of ‘Em All.”

With The Mountain Goat, his quest to capture the Western mystique and bring it to fans continues. Fusing genuine tradition with cutting-edge sonics, 15 tracks (including two interludes and one reprise) feature an “earthy” new organic undercurrent, with the multi-instrumental master more connected to his acoustic roots – and more protective of his territory. After buying a small ranch near the Wyoming/Montana border, he and wife Caroline welcomed the birth of his second child in 2025 – a daughter named Roan – filling his heart with more songs than ever.

“It’s just about 180 acres of prairie grass by the Big Horn Mountains – a peaceful spot where we can escape the craziness of Nashville,” Munsick explains. “My music is very inspired by the outdoors and the people that work the land, so it’s a great spot to reconnect and remember what my family and I have is real. What the Earth has for us is real. Tapping into those emotions is key.”

Co-writing every new song, Munsick explores the profound perspectives brought into focus by the West’s mythical vistas – and the awe-inspiring experience of fatherhood, falling in love, and finding one’s place in the world. That includes the plucky heartbreak anthem, “Love Is Blind” – a high-flying fiddle-pop jam currently scaling the treacherous slopes of country radio.

Co-produced by Munsick with Mike Robinson and Jeremy Spillman, The Mountain Goat continues to blaze new trails across the country landscape. An avalanche of untamed vocal power and raw, grizzled energy still form the bedrock of his sound, but Munsick’s string-band roots shine alongside a serene sonic charm, both wild and a bit whimsical. To get the effect, he and his team laid the foundation of each track personally.

Munsick played acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, bass, banjo, harmonica – even bouzouki and piano – then a seasoned group of Nashville’s session hands helped finish the songs off. Among them, Ross Holmes’ fiddle was essential to multiple tracks. Justin Schipper added a cinematic pedal steel, and drummer Aaron Sterling gave it all a sense of forward momentum.

That much is clear from the album opening title track. A fiddle sawing banjo stomp with Munsick’s edgy vocal buzz in its full glory, “The Mountain Goat” is both a classic play on words spotlighting his Rocky Mountain credentials, and a tribute to those who resist the flat lands of conformity.

Elsewhere, tracks like the primal, pulse-pounding “Geronimo” take a flying leap off the ledge of love, and the easy trot of “My Montana” gives Big-Sky romance a mood-boosting beat (plus a soaring, free-spirited sound). “I’m a true tenor so there’s no use trying to fit in with the country norm,” Munsick says with a laugh. “Just got to work with the tools God gave me.”

Meanwhile, the overwhelming emotion of becoming a girl-dad surprised Munsick, even as an experienced parent. Tracks like stormy soul ballad “Blue Roan” begin with a tender, Spanish-style guitar, before swelling into a ferocious warning to any future smooth-talking outlaws. It’s joined by the controlled explosive outburst of “World War III.” “I’m a friendly guy, but if you hurt her, I’m going to hunt you down. Those are new emotions for me,” he explains.

Mother nature takes its rightful place in the center of Munsick’s worldview – even when it’s not obvious. With rusty country-rock hooks and a steel-braided drawl, “Cutthroat World” turns an icy trout stream into a restorative getaway. Through the serene prairie pop of “Palomino Eyes,” Munsick’s free-rein falsetto helps frame the stunning beauty he sees in his wife – and the beautiful world she makes possible. On “Winter in Wyoming,” he bids a sub-zero goodbye to a bitter heart.

Munsick takes on the role of a protector on the quiet, soul-and-steel guitar ballad, “Made Me a Man,” then the antidote to heartbreak on the intoxicating, atmospheric rocker, “Medicine Man.” A hand-crafted selection of interludes reference his favorite movie (Legends of the Fall) and an old-timey favorite from his family band (“The Girl I Left Behind”). But it’s not nostalgia Munsick feels for the Western way of life. That, he’s quick to point out, is very much alive.

With the rough-and-ready roadhouse anthem “Earn Your Spurs,” the rancher-turned-Rocky Mountain ambassador sizes up the cosmopolitan cowboys he sees every day. A dusky swirl of baritone guitar and cinematic synth back the message “Anyone can buy the boots, but you gotta earn your spurs.” As The Mountain Goat, it’s both a truth he was born into, and wisdom he’s privileged to share with the world.

“I don’t want to come off as a jerk, but being a cowboy is a lot more than just wearing the hat,” he says. “The main thing is just being able to be real and be who I am. What I want is for people to understand that Western life is not a thing of the past. It’s still here and hopefully it will continue to thrive in the mainstream of country music. And if you know, you know.”

“‘Having One Now’ is an upbeat song about finding some love when you were down and out,” Adcock shares. “Last week I dropped a sad song, the week before that I dropped a song for all the blue collar people out there. So, get ready… and don’t be surprised if I drop another one next week.”

JOHN MORGAN REMINISCES WITH NEW SINGLE "ONCE IN A MILE"

Six time #1 hitmaker John Morgan releases a new track today, “Once in a Mile.” Written by Morgan and Brent Anderson, the new song comes as Morgan’s current single “Kid Myself” is inside the Top 10 on the radio charts and climbing. Listen to “Once in a Mile” Below.

In “Once in a Mile,” Morgan turns the drive back home into an unraveling of memories - every passing mile stirring up the ghosts of a love that used to exist there. The production carries its own sense of momentum, a steady, driving pulse that mirrors the highway itself, propelling the song forward even as the lyrics pull backward into the past. Built on classic country instrumentation with a warm, nostalgic glow, the track captures that bittersweet ache of proximity: the closer you get to home, the closer you get to what you lost. Morgan's grounded, emotive vocal delivery sits at the heart of it all, turning a simple road trip into a quietly devastating meditation on memories and heartbreak.

John Morgan will be out on the road this fall.

‘A Beast To Praise’ (Live at Fållan, Stockholm) captures a very important moment in the history of DARK FUNERAL — not only the live release ritual for ‘We Are The Apocalypse,’but also our return to the stage after years of silence during the pandemic. That night at Fållanwas intense in every possible way. The energy in the room, the fire, the audience, and the atmosphere all came together into something far beyond an ordinary concert. This release is the immortal document of that night. With the release of this live album and the upcoming European touring cycle in the fall of 2026, we now close the chapter surrounding ‘We Are The Apocalypse.’ At the same time, we are already deeply focused on the next era of DARK FUNERAL and hard at work creating new material for what will become our next studio album, planned for release in 2027. And as one chapter closes, a new one is already taking shape — bigger, darker, and more epic than ever before...”

GEARS Return with Emotionally Charged New Single "Spiraling"

“Spiraling” dives into the darkness of mental health struggles, the feeling of losing control, becoming overwhelmed, and not knowing where to turn. But beneath the weight of the song is an important message: you are not alone.

GEARS captures the struggle of spiraling while reminding listeners that reaching out, asking for help, and refusing to suffer in silence can be the first step toward finding your way back.

There comes a moment when everything feels like it's slipping away. The weight of anxiety. The noise inside your head. The fear that no matter how hard you fight, you're losing control.

Hard rock powerhouse GEARS confronts that battle head-on with their explosive new single, "Spiraling," arriving today across all major streaming platforms.

Known for blending punishing riffs, soaring melodies, and deeply personal songwriting, GEARS once again proves why they continue to resonate with rock and metal fans worldwide. "Spiraling" is more than another heavy track it's a brutally honest reflection of the emotional struggles so many people face but

rarely discuss.

Built on thunderous guitar work, relentless rhythm, and a vocal performance that balances vulnerability with unrelenting power, the song captures the feeling of standing on the edge while refusing to let darkness have the

final word.

“You are not alone. So many of us going through similar or even more difficult struggles. Please reach out to someone. You matter, and you don’t have to face this alone. I’m begging you… PLEASE TALK TO SOMEONE and let them help”. -Tripp Sixx

From the opening note, "Spiraling" pulls listeners into an emotional storm before erupting into a massive chorus that is destined to become a live favorite. The track showcases everything fans have come to expect from GEARS raw honesty, undeniable hooks, and the kind of heaviness that serves the song instead of overshadowing it.

Over the years, GEARS has carved out a reputation as one of hard rock's most authentic voices, building a fiercely loyal fanbase through relentless touring, unforgettable live performances, and music that connects on a deeply human level. Rather than chasing trends, the band continues to evolve while staying true to the passion and intensity that have defined their sound from the beginning.

"Spiraling" represents another bold step forward. It's a song for anyone who has battled self doubt. For anyone fighting anxiety. For anyone searching for hope in the middle of chaos. And for anyone who needs a reminder that even when life feels like it's unraveling, there is always another reason to keep fighting.

With anticipation already building around the release, "Spiraling" is poised to become one of GEARS most impactful songs to date, offering both emotional catharsis and a sonic punch that will leave listeners reaching for repeat.

Prepare yourself. Turn it up.

And let "Spiraling" remind you that sometimes the strongest people are the ones still fighting battles no one else can see.

GEARS isn’t just another rock band—they’re a reminder of why heavy music matters. Real songs, real emotion, and a live show that leaves you buzzing long after the last note.

WE ARE GEARS.

Turn it up. Feel it loud. And don’t forget to move.

She has returned to swallow the world whole.

About this latest transmission, Cenobia states, "Cenobia gifts you her fourth chapter, 'Swallowed By The World.' Her end. Her beginning.'A divine awakening is upon us. Her eyes are yet to open.' The Ontario native continues to build on that momentum following a remarkable stretch that includes four JUNO Award nominations, 2025 CCMA Male Artist of the Year, 2024 CCMA Album of the Year, and 2023 CCMA Entertainer of the Year and Male Artist of the Year honors.

In addition to signing with the label, Eagleson also expanded his team signing with Range Music for management, CAA for booking and Spirit Music, in a joint venture with Alliance Music Partners, for publishing.

The whole team feels like family and I’m so very proud to call this label my home. Regarding Range, that team has already been such a strong support for me, and we’re only just getting started. I feel incredibly aligned with them. They are strategic and innovative, and have been a blessing to have in my life. The fine folks that work there have quickly become some of my best friends.  In addition, I love my agents at CAA, and I am so grateful that they rolled the dice on me and my obsession with steel and fiddle. It hasn’t been all that long and I’ve already had experiences that will last a lifetime. I am excited to continue playing and growing new markets with these fine folks. For the Spirit Music team, I remember coming to Nashville close to 10 years ago exploring publishing options, and most folks politely turned me away because what I was doing at the time was too country. Frank Rogers and Derek Wells on the other hand took the time to hear my music, and show interest in what I was doing when nobody else would. I have also had the privilege of working with Abbey for the last year or two and love that I can work with all of these incredible people on my upcoming releases. With these leaders in my corner across all aspects of my career, I am looking forward to what the next few years look like for me, my music and my opportunities to connect and engage with fans globally.”

Punk-Metal Pioneers SNOT Officially Sign to BLKIIBLK

Today, BLKIIBLK is proud to announce the signing of legendary California punk-metal pioneers SNOT to a worldwide recording deal. One of the most influential cult bands to emerge from the late-'90s heavy music explosion, SNOT is currently writing and recording its long-awaited new studio album - the band's first collection of new material in nearly three decades – set for release in summer 2027, with new music set to arrive in early 2027, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of their landmark debut, ‘Get Some.’

Mikey Doling, founder and guitarist of SNOT, comments:

“I am beyond thrilled to announce SNOT’s signing with BLKIIBLK! From my very first conversation with Mike Gitter, it was clear that the team at BLKIIBLK and SNOT were a perfect fit. They truly believe in what we’re doing, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. We're proud to be joining the Frontiers/BLKIIBLK family. I've got my sunglasses on because the future is so bright! We're fired up to bring the new SNOT songs we've been working on to our fans around the world. This is just the beginning!”

Mike Gitter, Head of A&R, Frontiers Label Group, adds:

BLKIIBLK isn’t merely just proud to be working with SNOT but, more importantly, to be part of fulfilling a legacy that has only intensified as time has gone by. SNOT is really the high-octane stopgap between fellow Santa Barbara punk miscreants, RKL and Generation Nu-Metal. Mikey, John, Jamie and Andy are on fire and not only celebrating their history but making it much more than a classic-album-and-then-we’re-out proposition. F- that! SNOT lives!”

SNOT never played by anyone else's rules. Originally formed in Santa Barbara, California, in 1995, they featured the charismatic Lynn Strait on vocals, guitarist Mikey Doling, bassist John Fahnestock, and drummer Jamie Miller. The band forged a sound that blurred the lines between hardcore, punk, funk, groove, and metal with an attitude that refused to fit neatly into any scene. Built around the unforgettable presence of frontman Lynn Strait, the unmistakable guitar work of Mikey Doling, and a rhythm section that balanced precision with swagger, SNOT created music that was as infectious as it was uncompromising.

Released in 1997 through Geffen Records, 'Get Some' has become one of heavy music's defining cult classics. Its explosive combination of crushing riffs, undeniable groove, raw humor, and fearless individuality helped shape the emerging nu-metal movement while standing apart from it entirely. Decades later, the album continues to inspire generations of musicians across metal, hardcore, punk, and hard rock, earning its reputation as one of the era's most distinctive and enduring releases.

Although Lynn Strait's tragic passing in 1998 brought the band's original run to an abrupt end, SNOT's legacy only continued to grow. In 2000, the surviving members honored Strait with the acclaimed tribute album 'Strait Up,' featuring an extraordinary roster of guest vocalists including Jonathan Davis, Corey Taylor, Fred Durst, Serj Tankian, and many others. Meanwhile, SNOT's members went on to help shape bands including Soulfly, Bad Religion, Amen, Lo-Pro, and Channel Zero, extending the band's influence across multiple generations of heavy music.

In 2025, SNOT returned with powerhouse vocalist Andy Knapp, ushering in a new era while honoring the spirit that made the band a cult favorite.

📸: Adriana Torres

Since returning to the stage, SNOT has experienced an overwhelming resurgence, fueled by passionate fans and acclaimed performances at major festivals including Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple, Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Download, Graspop, Alcatraz, and Motocultor, alongside sold-out headline club shows throughout North America and Europe. ENSLAVED - announces new studio album 'Mið' & reveals new track/video 'Solar Will'

Progressive trailblazers Enslaved have officially announced their forthcoming studio album, Mið, set for release on October 30 via Nuclear Blast Records. Throughout their 35 year journey, across 17 albums, the Norwegian vanguard have continually redefined the boundaries of progressive black metal, weaving Old Norse histories and sacred traditions into complex modern soundscapes. With their latest offering, Enslaved turn their gaze toward the fundamental concept of the axis: the middle, the origin, and the infinite reach of the present moment.

Alongside this news, the band have unveiled the transcendant new single 'Solar Will', both a paean to a divine spark, and a testament to the album title’s fundamental concept: a centre whose reach is infinite. It's accompanying video was created by Kolibri Media, long term partners of Enslaved based in Bergen.

Guitarist Ivar Bjørnson stated:
"There have been sun cults as long as Magic Man has been around (at least). The Sun is a nurturing and terrifying parent that can grant as well as obliterate life totally. Such a classic and awe-inspiring object of our worship and myths requires classic and awesome riffs, Bonham-esque drum grooves and blistering melodic flares celebrating its horrific glory. This is what that sounds like to me: “Solar Will”!"

Voicalist / bassist Grutle Kjellson adds:

“Solar Will explores archetypal conflicts, those that manifest in nature, the cosmos, mythology, and, above all, within the human mind. In this instance, the central struggle is expressed through one of the enduring rivalries found in Norse mythology, embodied by two important, though often somewhat overlooked, figures within the pantheon. Readers familiar with the Norse mythological tradition will likely recognize the identities rather instantly, yet I shall refrain from naming them, allowing each reader the opportunity to engage with and decipher the lyrics on their own. After all, perhaps this is one of the essential functions of lyric writing: to invite interpretation and cultivate a sense of wonder? The conclusion, or more precisely, the absence of one, suggests that, for human beings, chaos and dreams are at least as significant as the realities we perceive through our senses. Ultimately, the work advocates not for resolution, but for the acceptance, assimilation, and shaping of these often contradictory forces."

Never faltering, Norway’s iconic Enslaved continue to exist as one of the most original and dependable components in our scene's indestructible backbone. Possessing the reputation as one of the most riveting live acts around, they never fail to offer us talent of the highest calibre, always doing justice to their signature black/progressive sound. Enslaved was formed in 1991 by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson, releasing their first demo Yggdrasill in the summer of 1992, their legendary mini-album Hordanes Land coming out in 1993, and with their debut full-length Vikingligr Veldi arriving in the spring of 1994.

It’s a rare and remarkable feat that 35 years and now 17 albums in, Enslaved’s horizons still continue to expand. Every stage of the Bergen band’s evolution, every new phase entered, has felt like an organic act of discovery and renewal. Their journey has been at once a commitment to a promise that found its embryonic form in the Norwegian black metal scene they emerged from, and a willingness to challenge both orthodoxy and themselves from the off to make that potential manifest.

Enslaved’s new album, Mið, an Old Norse word for ‘centre’, or ‘middle’, marks another departure, and another new beginning. The band have always dealt in states of transition, nor least on the thematically linked, mythology-steeped rites of passage that were 2020’s Utgard and 2023’s Heimdal. What lay beyond, however, was… unexpected.

Mið is an album that sheds light on harmonies and dialogues embedded all around us: between the ways of the past, and how they can bring enlightenment to the present, between small kernels of truth and their ability to project onto the most universal on canvases, and between band members relying on instinct and each other to create a record that galvanises on every possible level.

SIFYN Announce "Self-Encrypted" EP & A New Era Of Pop-Metalcore

Minneapolis pop-metalcore outfit, SIFYN, pull at the threads of pain, connection, and survival on brand new single, "Code", out now. The track also arrives alongside the announcement of the band's forthcoming EP, "Self-Encrypted", set for release on December 4. Fusing the impact of metal with alternative rock, atmosphere, emo vulnerability, and pop-forward melody, "Code" is an urgent first glimpse into SIFYN's evolving sound. Watch the new video for "Code" below.

Beginning with the flicker of a television screen lost in static, the brand new video for "Code" erupts in a kaleidoscope of color and flashing lights to heighten the track's tension of between the urge to protect someone and the reality that they must find their own way forward. As anticipation builds for "Self-Encrypted", "Code" sets the pace for a new SIFYN chapter that is brighter, bolder, and built around an even stronger sense of momentum.

Reflecting on the strain of carrying the weight of someone else's pain on "Code", founding member and frontman Lukas Magyar shares:

"We can't wait to see how people react to our new sound. "Code" is full of brilliant moments and I think our fans will agree. It'll give everyone a glimpse of what is next for us."

Excited to introduce the next era of SIFYN with "Self-Encrypted", founding member and frontman Lukas Magyar emphasizes:

"Self Encrypted is an exciting collection. We packed a lot of substance into this body of work. I look forward to performing every track on this EP. It's challenging and it's emotional and energetic, but mostly it's just a ton of fun."

Drawing weight from metalcore with alt-rock textures, emo's volatility, and pop-minded melodies, SIFYN have found a way to make heavy music with a danceable pulse. Sharpening the contrast between intensity and immediacy, "Code" introduces the upcoming "Self-Encrypted" EP as a new phase for the Minneapolis band, one that is colorful while unbridled.

Founded by (ex-Veil Of Maya) Lukas Magyar, SIFYN made their debut with "Marionette" in 2022 and have continued to expand their palette with every release. What began as a creative outlet beyond Magyar's longtime work in heavy music became a space to follow different instincts: bigger melodic swings, looser genre boundaries, and songwriting that makes room for both technical weight and straight-to-the-chest emotion.

Be sure to stay tuned for more SIFYN news coming very soon.

ABOUT SIFYN

For nearly a decade, SIFYN have lived in a state of constant evolution, growing from a studio project into a full-fledged metal outfit comprising vocalist Lukas Magyar, guitarists Mike Green and Dustin Korth, bassist/co-writer Derek Sampson and drummer Avery Frisk. Along the way, the Minnesota-based quintet have developed a similar sonic restlessness, spinning a genre-blending sound that pulls from modern alternative rock, metalcore and early-2000s emo – muscular rhythms, skyward guitars, shimmering electronics and tightly layered vocals all filtered through Cyberpunk-sheen production. But rather than pledge allegiance to any one scene, SIFYN follow their instincts wherever they lead.

That freedom reaches a new level on SELF-ENCRYPTED, the band's new five-song EP and most personal collection to date. Where the group’s 2022 debut, Marionette, often channeled pieces of Magyar's life through fictional characters, SELF-ENCRYPTED fully closes the distance between songwriter and subject, grappling with loved ones in crisis, identity, ideology, dreams, reality and personal agency with the urgency of a deathbed confessional. By narrowing its perspective to lived experience, SIFYN’s music feels more universal than ever, leaving room for listeners to enter the story – not simply observing the band’s search for answers, but asking critical questions of their own right alongside them.
