Jamey Johnson Announces 2026 'Traveling Truebadour' Headlining Tour

Singer/songwriter Jamey Johnson will bring his award-winning traditional country music across the nation this year with his Traveling Truebadour headlining tour, which runs from May through October.

The tour begins on May 8 at the Anderson Music Hall in Hiawassee, GA, and currently runs through Oct. 11 at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY. Thirty-one shows are announced now, with more being added. (Please see full schedule below.)

The Grand Ole Opry member, called “one of the greatest country singers of our time” by The Washington Post, is known for never playing the same setlist twice because he tailors his performance to each audience. His 2026 tour will feature songs from his latest album, Midnight Gasoline, and new music from his upcoming album, as well as hits including “In Color” and “High Cost of Living.”

His solo acoustic shows, featuring his deep and timeless baritone, are mesmerizing, while his full band collaborations are powerful because he surrounds himself with the best musicians in country music.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of his major label debut, The Dollar. Critics have consistently lauded his singing and songwriting talents for two decades. Rolling Stone says he has one of country music’s most seasoned voices,” while Southern Living says he has “one of the most recognizable voices in country music.”

PARMALEE’S “GOD KNEW BETTER” NO. 1 MOST ADDED AT COUNTRY RADIO WITH 65 ADDS

Parmalee’s latest Stoney Creek Records radio single, “God Knew Better” secured the accolade of No. 1 most added with 65 adds across Country Aircheck/Mediabase and Billboard. The emotionally charged track is a mid-tempo ballad that thanks God for sending the one woman who could calm a reckless heart. Co-written by Abram Dean, David Fanning, Jamie Collazo, Andy Albert, and the band, Parmalee describes the track as “like running into an old friend you didn’t know you needed to see.”

The song “God Knew Better” is off Parmalee’s latest album, Fell In Love With A Cowgirl. The radio single follows their fifth consecutive number one hit (sixth total) “Cowgirl,” which was the band’s longest-running number one single, and was the longest-running number one by a band in nearly 14 years on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Kenny Rocks Packed Tortuga; Kracker + Megan Moroney Surprise Walk-Ons

Kenny Chesney walked through a stiff 21.5 MPH wind to take the stage at the 13th Tortuga Music Festival; but those gusts were no match for the high energy performer. With the sounds of the No Shoes Nation-empowering “We Do” ramping up the anticipation, the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar leaned into the honky tonk-tilting “Living In Fast Forward” as he took his place at the top of the T. The crowd was deafening as he delivered his guitar-forward hit about putting it all in the songs.

Chesney’s set came out of the chute hard – “Fast Forward” sweeping into “Young,” slamming into “Beer In Mexico,” then straight into the propulsive “Keg In the Closet.” Clearly savoring the crowd, who filled the two-story cabanas on the street side, packed the balconies of neighboring hotels and overflowed well over half mile of beach, Chesney was exuberant for his sixth headlining appearance at Tortuga.

A dozen songs into the bursting with positive energy set, the calypso-informed “When The Sun Goes Down” introduction took the anticipation to another level. When the second verse rolled up, Uncle Kracker sauntered onto the stage, trucker hat to the side and a black Monster Magnet Superjudge t-shirt on. In a weekend based on friendship, ocean conservation and enjoying the beach, it was the perfect surprise; the pair romped through Kracker’s breakout “Follow Me” and ubiquitous take on Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away.”

“With Kracker playing the festival, we had to do it,” Chesney said after. “Nobody makes me laugh harder, brings more soul to that stage or understands this crowd better – and it’s hard to believe anyone can love music as much as we do, but he does.”

Despite a strict sea turtle protection curfew of 9:55 p.m. on Fort Lauderdale Beach, there was plenty of music to come. The momentum of Kracker’s mini-set built with the banjo-forward “Get Along,” the song meant to remind people our common ground is often bigger than our differences. Even with gusts close to 28 miles per hour, that positivity anchored the night.

In that sweep of emotion, the spring break/summer vacation romp “All The Pretty Girls” felt perfect for Lauderdale beach. But nothing prepared the audience for a denim’n’diamante three-piece mini skirt-set clad Megan Moroney to come bouncing from the wings in full sparkle mode. Blinding in her custom Paige outfit with rhinestone fringe, Moroney’s exuberance made the moment that much more as the crowd lost their collective minds when the young woman who’s the Academy of Country Music Awards’ leading nominee took the stage.

“Megan at our first show in 2026 sets a pretty high bar,” Chesney says. “But between our duet [his 2024 Christmas gift from Moroney, ‘You Had To Be There’] and ‘Am I Okay?,’ her music fits so well with ours, it’s always so much fun when we can sing together. Talk about hitting the beach!

“There’s something about Tortuga – the ocean awareness, how historic this beach is or just the people who’re here singing all these songs back to us, this energy really sets the tone for us. No Shoes Nation was born to come together, forget about everything and really be in the moment, and when we’re here, it’s a whole other level.”

John has worked with Max and company multiple times before and is not only a talented engineer but a family friend. The album was produced by Zyon Cavalera and Arthur Rizk. The latter was also responsible for the mixing and mastering. Rizk has not only worked with the Cavalera family numerous times before, but has also helped to shape the world of heavy metal in the modern day. SOULFLY enlisted Carletta Parrish to create the album artwork. For the album, Igor Amadeus Cavalera (GO AHEAD & DIE, NAILBOMB, HEALING MAGIC) played bass and Mike De Leon played guitar. SERPENT LORD Emerges with New Album, Debuts First Single via Bandcamp

Solo pagan black metal project SERPENT LORD will be releasing its debut album, 'The Once Forgotten Ways of Old,' on May 29, 2026 via Eisenwald Records. The project has debuted the haunting first single, "Aries Ram," can now be streamed below.

SERPENT LORD first slithered into existence in 2003, emerging as a solitary pagan black metal vessel forged by Jake Superchi (UADA, Ceremonial Castings). Though the project's first true album was recorded in 2005, the work was abruptly shelved and lay dormant for twenty years. Now, in the Year of the Snake, the ancient offering has been reborn and reimagined as 'The Once Forgotten Ways of Old,' preserving every note of its primordial conception.

The album was re-recorded in the cold heart of the Pacific Northwest between 2022 and 2025, engineered and mixed by Jake Superchi, and mastered by Arthur Rizk. The release features new artwork and the original logo created by Kris Verwimp, along with photography by Peter Beste.

Originally formed over two decades ago, SERPENT LORD existed largely in the shadows, issuing only a handful of demos before entering an extended period of dormancy. Yet, the creative force behind the project never faded. Ideas, fragments, and compositions endured across the years, shelved for the right moment, only fully taking shape and being realized in the Year of the Snake, when the vision was finally forged into its definitive form.

Early demo material already hinted at what SERPENT LORD would become: a severe balance between melodic grandeur and unrestrained aggression, with transitions between atmosphere and brutality, produced to enhance rather than obscure its intensity.

Founded by Jake Superchi (known for its creative force in UADA and CEREMONIAL CASTINGS), SERPENT LORD channels the spirit of ’90s pagan black metal. The album stands as a triumphant and immersive work - melodic, fierce, and steeped in ritualistic energy. Expansive riffing, evocative passages, and a dynamic interplay between harsh and atmospheric elements, both timeless and fully awakened.

The album was recorded and mixed by Jake Superchi, and mastered by Arthur Rizk, achieving a sound that retains raw edge while delivering clarity and depth. The cover artwork, created by Kris Verwimp, along with photography by Peter Beste, further underscoring the album’s mythical and arcane atmosphere.

Where Erdve’s debut album, Vaitojimas, laid the foundation, the band’s follow-up, Savigaila, pushed against it until something cracked. What follows now is not a next step but a deliberate pause, a period of stepping back from the noise to ask what the music is for, and what it needs to become in order to mean something true.

Epigrama answers that question but not in a comfortable way. The album was made with the care that comes from having learned, through trial and error, what it means to create without compromise. The band wrote, recorded, mixed, mastered, photographed and designed it themselves. Handing any part of it to someone else, would have been a betrayal of everything the album is about. Accountability runs through it like a fault line.

“Ydos” speaks to the weakness of facing the truth, shame and the inability to impose judgement upon oneself. The song is a descent from stagnation into what Erdve envision as the gradual consumption of the last remaining spark of life.

The band is known to dive into unexpected ventures by choosing to perform in places that intuitively seem incoherent to the type of music being played or are not considered to be regular venues. First such show took place in the church of St. John's 2019 and another one in Lukiškės Ex-Prison, both in Vilnius, Lithuania.

After the second album, the band took some time to rediscover their relationship with music and identified the elements that would convey their future vision in the most truthful way. This idea is followed by their 2026 release - EPIGRAMA, that delivers a familiar, yet a fundamentally different approach towards experimenting within the confines of heavy music and reflective storytelling. The goal was to craft a meticulous consistency between the music, lyrics and sound production, where every aspect of the song works together to create meaningful impact. This album marks a new beginning for ERDVE, in the process of rediscovery, experimentation and raw expression.

Killswitch Engage Announce Headline Canadian Tour in August + Additional U.S. Headline Dates For September

Killswitch Engage — Jesse Leach, vocals; Adam Dutkiewicz, guitar; Joel Stroetzel, guitar; Mike D'Antonio, bass; and Justin Foley, drums — have just added more tour dates to their upcoming 2026 tour schedule.

The band will first embark on a headline tour, which kicks off June 3 in Detroit and runs through June 27 in San Francisco, and includes appearances at Milwaukee Metal Fest and DC Warped Tour Weekend. Support will come from Machine Head,Iron Reagan, and Havok.

They will then head to Canada in August for a headline run, from August 5 through August 16. Machine Head and Malevolence will support. The Canadian trek includes appearances at the Rock La Cauze Festival and Burt Block Party.

KsE have also added more U.S. dates in September, with Machine Head, Rivers of Nihil, and Judiciary. Those dates run from September 19 through October 1 and include appearances at Louder Than Life and Aftershock.

Following on from singles "BLEED" and "HOUSE OF CARDS," the latest from THE AMITY AFFLICTION take the listener back into a personal memory JOEL BIRCH found himself revisiting during the songwriting process. The impact of trauma experienced as a young person, the way it can shape us in good ways and bad; ultimately, the choices people make in navigating their way through such times in pursuit of peace.

Birch's songwriting, evidenced right throughout HOUSE OF CARDS, draws heavily on different moments of struggle and overcoming; "HEAVEN SENT" focuses on the relationship between himself and his stepfather.

As he explains, "This is one of the darker songs on the album, the first line references one of a handful of memories I have from when I was really young and my stepfather still smoked. He put his cigarette out on my arm at a party and then played it off as an accident. My mother was busy getting drunk and brushed it off and told me to keep it moving, basically. The rest of the song is a snapshot of my home life in some ways and the way the abuse was cyclical in nature and always prefaced by or followed by 'I love you,' which obviously creates some strange and unhealthy ways for a young person to understand their relationship to a parent."

2026 has already proved to be a busy and fruitful one for THE AMITY AFFLICTION; the preparation of this new album coinciding with an extensive tour of regional Australia, and the development of an international touring schedule that will see the band return to stages across North America, Europe and the UK.

Cryptopsy Release Uncensored Version of “Malicious Needs” Video

30 years since they first donned metal’s crown of horns, Cryptopsy remain insatiable as ever. The Montreal legends’ latest album, An Insatiable Violence, received their second nomination for Best Metal/Hard Music Album at this year’s JUNO Awards, a category they won two years ago. Now, as they prepare to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their Decibel Hall of Fame inducted album, None So Vile, with a headlining run on this year’s Decibel Magazine Tour, Cryptopsy are proving once more why they are the most vile band in death metal.

Today, Cryptopsy are releasing the uncensored version of the music video for “Malicious Needs”, the second single and harrowing finale of An Insatiable Violence. While initially labeled too vile for unfiltered consumption on YouTube, the uncensored video fully reveals the explicit desires feeding our digital fantasies.
