Unverkalt Release “Oath Ov Prometheus” Live Studio Performance

Over the past decade, Unverkalt have drawn closer and closer to the edge. On their new album, the post-metal luminaries pull the veil from our cursed existence in search for an answer to one pervasive questions: What do we carry that was never ours? In response, Héréditaire now stands as their heaviest and most heartfelt offering.

As they prepare to bring Héréditaire to the stage, today, Unverkalt are releasing a live studio performance of the song that sparked their freshly blackened vision. “Oath Ov Prometheus” sets fire to the myth of man’s creation with the band’s command of smoky atmosphere and suffocating doom.

“‘Oath Ov Prometheus” is one of the songs on our new album that we really love to perform”, Unverkalt vocalist Dimitra Kalavrezou says. “It was the first song we wrote for Héréditaire and our first with extreme vocals. We are very excited to bring it to the stage this year during our upcoming shows”.

Watch the live studio performance of “Oath Ov Promethues” Below:

Héréditaire is out now on Season of Mist.

While Héréditaire is a pulse-pounding new direction for Unverkalt, the album’s arc traces back to our deepest and darkest origins. Amidst the tremolo-picked wreckage of “Penumbrian Lament”, long-held beliefs are swallowed into the void of guitarist Eli Mavrychev’s death growls. “It’s all sorts of dead ideas / They cling to us all the same”, Kalavrezou whispers, only to break into screams on “Introjects” beneath Joscha Hoyer’s throbbing bass line. “The concept behind the record is tied in with the album’s overall heaviness”, she says. “Each song peels back another blackened layer of memory, trauma and suffering, which linger over us like ghosts: invisible, yet endlessly present”.

Kalavrezou’s mystifying cleans remain one of Unverkalt’s defining traits. Even when trembling beneath the monolithic riff of “I, The Deceit”, her contempt for those who stand by as the world burns is heated when forged alongside her Athenian brother-in-arms Sakis Tolis from Rotting Christ. But as the album draws to a close, Héréditaire ends shadowed in doubt for the future. “Bathed in lies / Can we make it better” she wonders before disappearing into the shivering wake left by “Maladie de ‘Esprit”.

“This album is not meant to resolve”, the band says, “but to dissolve patterns from those who came before, faceless yet familiar. The colors have drained. What remains is veiled in black, not as a symbol, but as a truth that covers everything”.

On Héréditaire, Unverkalt lift the veil on our cursed existence with their heaviest and most heartfelt offering.

Ray Hawthorne Has Never Been Better On New Single "Overwhelmed"

Everyone's favorite pop punk disruptor, Ray Hawthorne, is barely keeping it together, but in the best way possible. Following the woozy late-night spiral of "Somewhere Else" and his sophomore album, "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real" the Los Angeles-based firebrand returns with "Overwhelmed," a chest-tightening, full-speed anthem about the terror of falling apart and not knowing if anyone will notice. Fans can listen to the new single Below.

At its core, "Overwhelmed", is about the cruel irony of needing people most when you're least able to let them in. Ray Hawthorne writes from inside that contradiction, watching himself push away the people who show up, unable to stop, and unsure if he deserves to be caught anyway. It's Ray Hawthorne's greatest trick, taking his worst moments and making them into songs that are impossible to not sing along to.

Ever the philosopher, Ray Hawthorne dives deep into how fans should listen to his music and who is to blame if they don't:

"I think Jeff Probst might be a vampire and not enough people are talking about it. There’s all these conspiracies on the internet about people not aging, or faking their deaths and turning into different celebrities. Like people are saying Jim Carrey is now Walton Goggins, or Kurt Cobain is actually Rivers Cuomo (shoutout Pete for turning me on to that one). But nobody talks about Jeff Probst. I’ve been watching Survivor like my whole life and this dude has NEVER aged. Some call it hair dye, but I think it’s something more sinister than that. How many of us have actually auditioned for Survivor? Not many. I’d be willing to bet that the fine print of the contract says something like “In exchange for a chance at winning one million dollars you are agreeing to let Jeff Probst steal your life force”. And nobody’s actually reading it. They’re just happy to compete. I’m certain this information is dangerous, but someone has to take a stand. If you never hear from me again just know that it was most likely Jeff Probst (or his personal assistant) that eliminated me. Listen to my new song in protest. Use it as a way to stand against this system of Hollywood elite vampires. Play it as loud as you can to let them know that you know the truth.”

Renowned for his work in North Kingsley, the acclaimed project alongside Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down, Hawthorne initially captured hearts as the Heartbreak Hero with his inaugural solo release "Heartbreak Feels Good in a Place Like This". Building on his solo work, his debut record "Ray Hawthorne Sucks" further cemented his status as a bold new voice in pop punk, quickly amassing a devoted following and over 20 million streams across all streaming platforms for his magnetic charm and razor-sharp wit.

Blending heartbreak, sarcasm, and just the right amount of emotional stability, Ray Hawthorne leads with a messy kind of hope, turning emotional freefall into something you can scream along to. Where debut album and his firstborn, "Ray Hawthorne Sucks", leaned into an earnest DIY vulnerability, his latest record, "Ray Hawthorne Isn't Real", took a turn and tapped into the restless defiance of a secondborn. The 15 tracks helped embrace the chaos, laugh at the pain, and maybe, just maybe, allow us all to find a little redemption along the way.

Starting from the very real possibility that Ray Hawthorne is just a guy screaming into the ether (and somehow making it sound catchy), his catalog has become a refuge for anyone who's ever felt too loud, too sensitive, or too much. Loud, petty, and deeply cathartic, Ray Hawthorne is proudly one of the most unapologetically honest voices modern pop-punk.

Be sure to stay tuned for more Ray Hawthorne news coming very soon.

ABOUT RAY HAWTHORNE

Do you remember that episode of Degrassi where Ashley really wants Craig to tell her he loves her, but Craig gets all panicked and can’t tell her that he does? It causes so much drama in their relationship. She begins to question her feelings for him and because of that, he becomes seemingly unsure of his feelings for her. So, in an effort to quell the bad vibes, Craig writes a song that includes lyrics IMPLICITLY AND EXPLICITLY stating that he loves her. (Total banger by the way, the only song of his I like better is the one he sings at the battle of the bands after the two inevitably break up, it’s also about Ashley. I believe it’s called ‘What I Know’) Anyway, Craig was only able to admit he loved Ashley in song form, but you as the viewer are left wondering ‘Does he really love her, or was this just his solution to end the drama?’ Or, ’Is this truly the only way he can express himself because he’s kind of nervous about speaking his true feelings outside of the structured environment of a song?’. I tend to believe it’s a mixture of both. So what I’m trying to say is, this collection of songs is kind of like that. I always feel like I have so much to say but often feel a bit too vulnerable when discussing my actual feelings. So for the majority of my life, I’ve just written them into songs instead. These songs can be quite vulnerable even if they seem silly at times. So now you’re left to wonder... am I telling the truth or just trying to get rid of Ashley’s bad vibes?

GLU Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stone Age, Mini Mansions) Unveils Infectious New Single "Pony Boy"

Today, GLU, the genre-blending solo project of Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stone Age, Mini Mansions), returns with an infectious, hook-laden new single, “Pony Boy.” This release marks the next instalment of a year of exciting activity, released on FLG (Skunk Anansie,Corella, As It Is).

The new track blends punchy riffs with infectious, synth-leaning melodies, striking a balance that has made GLU’s sound so synonymous. Beneath its melodic surface is a story of being thrust prematurely into the spotlight, as a once carefree life gives way to pressure, scrutiny, and a growing need for distance.

“I am a pretty private person”, Shuman explains. “This song discusses the ways in which that privacy has been attempted to be broken and infiltrated. Living in Los Angeles and growing up here has made it somewhat difficult to navigate them. Especially being in this business, people want to know everything about you. Where you went last night, what you had for breakfast, who you’re dating. I think it’s really important to keep some sort of anonymity. I’m not a big fan of putting myself out there on social media, yet I know that it’s part of the modern music business promotion. I’ve seen this with other people in my life, and it can quickly steal away a piece of your identity.”

Watch the Video for "Pony Boy" Below:

GLU first emerged in early 2023 with debut EP 'MY DEMONS,' a raw and revealing release exploring struggle, loss, addiction, and childhood trauma. In 2025, GLU hit a new high point with the single "BOOGIE MAN," an infectious, dance-forward track about losing yourself in the moment and letting go of self-consciousness. Drawing comparisons to Jamiroquai, Gorillaz, and Mac Miller, the song secured a major sync placement in MLB The Show ‘25 alongside Kendrick LamarDe La Soul. The track pushed GLU past 3 million global streams.

That momentum has also translated directly to the stage, with tours and headline dates across the UK, Europe, and the US. GLU has toured with The Kills, Blood Red Shoes, Miles Kane& more, alongside UK headline shows of its own. Kicking off tonight in Glasgow, GLU will support The Blue Stones across three big UK shows (see dates below).

Radio support from BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, as well as glowing press from the likes of the NME, Rolling Stone & more, has further established GLU as a project operating well beyond “side project” territory.

With its fearless approach to reinvention and emotional honesty, GLU’s take on "Crush" signals the start of a year of exciting activity, whilst blurring genres, stripping away pretence, and creating music that feels both personal and relatable.

Judas Priest’s Sad Wings of Destiny Marks 50 Years—Exciter Records to Release Anniversary Editions

March 26, 2026, marks the 50th anniversary of Sad Wings of Destiny in the US (March 23rd in the UK)—the landmark 1976 album that helped define the sound and ambition of heavy metal. Widely regarded as one of the most influential records in the genre’s history, it continues to inspire generations of musicians and fans five decades after its release.

Originally issued in March 1976, Sad Wings of Destiny captured Judas Priest at a pivotal moment, showcasing a dramatic leap in songwriting, musicianship, and sonic identity. Featuring iconic tracks including “Victim of Changes,” “The Ripper,” “Tyrant,” and “Dreamer Deceiver,” the album set a new standard for blending progressive structure with pure metal intensity.

With its twin-guitar attack, soaring vocals, and ambitious compositions, Sad Wings of Destiny became a blueprint for heavy metal’s evolution and remains one of its most important recordings.

Exciter Records and its publishing affiliate Reach Music, in partnership with Judas Priest, have acquired the master rights to the album, returning control of this foundational work to the band and its creative partners.

To commemorate the golden anniversary, Exciter Records will release special editions of Sad Wings of Destiny currently in production to celebrate its enduring legacy.

The special editions focus on creating truly definitive versions of Sad Wings of Destiny, returning to the original multitrack and master tapes. Developed in collaboration with Judas Priest, these editions deliver a new level of sonic depth, clarity, and fidelity.

The project will include newly remixed and remastered editions, following the approach established with the 50th anniversary of Rocka Rolla, alongside audiophile-quality pressings of the original album.

Judas Priest said in a statement, “Sad Wings of Destiny was a defining moment for us as a band. It’s where we really began to shape the sound and identity that would carry through everything we’ve done since. To see it recognized 50 years on—and to have it presented in new editions—is incredibly meaningful.”

Exciter Records President Michael Closter added, “We’ve returned to the original master tapes for Sad Wings of Destiny—untouched for decades—and we’re excited and honored to bring these definitive editions to fans worldwide.”

Fifty years after its arrival, Sad Wings of Destiny remains a towering achievement that helped forge the sound and spirit of heavy metal itself. Further details about the upcoming anniversary releases will be announced in the coming months.

Introducing Torn Open — NJ Extreme Deathcore Band Signs Announces EP, Shares "The Way Things Should End" Video

New Jersey's Torn Open will make the baby fine hairs on your neck stand upright. They hold nothing back in their brutal, deathcore music or their sanguine imagery. Solidifying their lineup in 2025, the quintet has shared stages with legends like Mortician, as well as Torture and more. They released TORN THE FUCK OPEN, VOL. 1. in 2025 and followed with the single "None So Vile."

Along the way, the band caught the attention of Blue Grape Music, which is pleased to announce it has added the band to its global roster.

Torn Open will continue to tear into the metal scene with full ferocity and fangs bared moving forward.

Today, the band announces the TORN THE FUCK OPEN, VOL. 2 EP, which will arrive on May 1. Pre-save it here.

Torn Open also shared the gloriously gory (and NSFW) video for the primal new single "The Way Things Should End." Watch the video, which unfolds like a fabulously feral, four-minute horror movie, below

It's vicious and visceral, grabs you by the throat, and doesn't let go. You won't make it out unscathed.

"The Way Things Should End" is intended to be a hard-hitting introduction to a new era, and not just musically. The single checks all the boxes — creative riffing, a groove that makes you want to punch the guy next to you, and meaningful lyrics that address about how political power needs to be directly combatted with violence. Working in tandem with the imagery from the music video, the song creates an astoundingly strong statement, calling out and denouncing the malice inflicted upon many as a product of greed. It aims to point out that there are little to no distinguishing factors between businessmen and politicians anymore, and we are running out of peaceful options when it comes to stopping tyranny.

Below are the forthcoming Torn Open live dates. The band will also perform at the Milwaukee Metal Fest Pre-Party, sponsored by Blue Grape, on June 4.

COREY KENT’S “SOMETHING’S GONNA KILL ME” CERTIFIED PLATINUM BY RIAA

Multi-platinum country star Corey Kent has reached a new career milestone as his fan-favorite track “Something’s Gonna Kill Me” is now certified PLATINUM by the RIAA, marking another major achievement in his growing career.

“‘Something’s Gonna Kill Me’ going platinum is so special to me and something that I have to thank the fans for,” shared Kent. “This song is a huge part of my world view. Living life fully. Not allowing fear, even the fear of death, to stop you from doing the things that make you feel most alive. It means so much that the message resonated so deeply with fans. Their support made this a platinum record.”

The certification adds to an already impressive run for the hitmaker, who surpassed one billion career streams and continues to earn more hardware with a string of hits, including his Triple-Platinum No. 1 breakout “Wild As Her” and No. 1 follow-up “This Heart.”

Originally released on his 2023 album Blacktop, “Something’s Gonna Kill Me” has resonated deeply with fans and become a staple in Kent’s live show, showcasing his signature rasp of country grit and guitar-driven melodies that define his sound.

Rolling Stone noted the Oklahoma native has given “the region's signature sound a shot of mainstream sensibility” becoming one of the genre’s most exciting voices and earning accolades from CMT and the Opry Next Stage program while touring alongside Morgan Wallen, Jon Pardi, Jason Aldean and Parker McCollum.

The milestone comes as Kent continues to roll out new music, including his latest release “Empty Words,” which was fast-tracked due to overwhelming fan demand after generating more than 20 million views across social media. He is also currently climbing the country radio charts with “Rocky Mountain Low” featuring Koe Wetzel. The new releases have propelled him to 11 million streams a week.

With international tour dates on the horizon and a return to major festivals like Stagecoach, Kent shows no signs of slowing down as he enters his next chapter. For the latest news and information about Corey Kent, visit coreykentofficial.com.

Skid Row's Rachel Bolan Announces Solo Debut As "Bolan" | First Single + Video "At War With Myself" Out Today

After four decades as the driving force behind Skid Row, bassist and songwriter Rachel Bolan steps forward with his first-ever solo album under the name BOLAN. Gargoyle of the Garden State is a bold, deeply personal debut rooted in the grit, attitude, and storytelling spirit of his New Jersey upbringing.

Produced by multi‑Grammy winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Skid Row, Rush, Evanescence, Alice In Chains), the album began as a simple conversation between friends. What started casually quickly evolved into a record that would ultimately define Bolan's voice as both a songwriter and storyteller.

"Gargoyle of the Garden State is not a project, it is every bit of my soul," says Bolan. "Like me, it knows when to be serious and also knows where the party is."

PRE-ORDER THE ALBUM HERE.

Musically, the album delivers hook-driven, anthemic songs that fuse punk energy with melodic sensibility, wrapped in swagger and raw edge what early listeners have already called "quintessentially New Jersey." Among its standout moments is a surprising cover of Oasis' "Rock And Roll Star," reimagined through Bolan's distinctive lens.

Expanding beyond his role as a bassist, Bolan performs the majority of instruments, shaping the record from the ground up. Drawing on influences from Brit Pop and glam to punk rock and new wave, the album represents a lifetime in music.

Gargoyle of the Garden State also features an impressive lineup of guests, including Corey Taylor, Danko Jones, Nuno Bettencourt, Damon Johnson,Steve Conte, and fellow Skid Row members Scotti Hill, Dave "Snake" Sabo, and Rob Hammersmith.

"It was incredible to work with so many of my talented friends an experience I wish everyone could have at least once," Bolan adds.

The album is out on June 12 and will be available as CD digipakLP gatefold, as well as digital and download

At its core, Gargoyle of the Garden State is Bolan at his most honest, a record full of attitude, melody, and personality unmistakably his own.

Exploring Birdsong Announce Debut Album "Every House We Built" + Share "You Like It Best When It Hurts" Video

London alt-pop outfit Exploring Birdsong have today announced their forthcoming debut album, Every House We Built, set for release on June 26 via Long Branch Records

Featuring previously released tracks "42" and "Romanticise," the record sees the band turn inwards, drawing from lived experiences to explore the complexities of relationships spanning friendships, family and romance. Using houses as a central metaphor, the album reflects on how connections are carefully built with intention yet can unexpectedly collapse, leaving behind the lingering weight of something once thought permanent.

The announcement is accompanied by the release of the band's new single "You Like It Best When It Hurts."

Speaking of the track, vocalist Lynsey Ward shares, "'You Like It Best… ' actually began its life as a completely different song, but easily found a way to take the shape that it has now. For as long as we've been a band, we've been proud that our sound has such broad shoulders, so we felt we could really push our influences from heavy music out into the open with this one and create the heaviest Birdsong music to date. Lyrically, it is written about observing a type of person that we have all come across — self-sabotaging and self-destructive almost to the point where it seems that they can't, or don't want to, break the cycle. More new territory for us, as we're now equipped to convey anger and aggression convincingly. It felt completely natural to write a bit of a love letter to heavy music whilst channeling our own frustrations."

Stream "You Like It Best When It Hurts" and pre-order the debut album here.

Watch the official music video above.

Exploring Birdsong have evolved into one of the UK's most compelling and unclassifiable modern bands. Following a bold shift in sound first signalled by their 2024 singles, the three piece have expanded their sonic palette without sacrificing the emotional intimacy and genre blurring beauty that defines them.

Fronted by the unmistakable voice of Lynsey Ward, alongside Jonny Knight(Bass) and Matt Harrison (Drums), the band craft a sound that weaves vulnerability, heaviness, and intricate songwriting into something entirely their own. Their approach to modern heavy music feels both cinematic and deeply personal, balancing raw feeling with experimental ambition, with subtle touchstones in artists such as Kate Bush.

This emotional core has been matched by growing momentum. By 2025 the band had sold out back-to-back headline shows at London's St Pancras Old Church within minutes, building on previous sold out dates in Manchester and London. Having shared stages with Katatonia and Sleep Token alongside appearances at RADAR Festival and Euroblast, Exploring Birdsong continue to carve out a space that feels entirely their own, unplaceable yet unmistakable.

REVEAL 'ALL GLORY, NO VALOUR' LIVE VIDEO AHEAD OF NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES

British metal powerhouse SYLOSIS are preparing to take their monumentally heavy, riff-fuelled live show across the Northern Hemisphere.

Next week, the band will be launching head-first into a collosal month-long trek across North America alongside Bleed From Within, Great American Ghost and Life Cycles.

To set the stage, SYLOSIS have released a break-neck live video for their track 'All Glory, No Valour', filmed during their career-defining performance last month at The Forum, London, a highlight of their biggest headline tour to-date.

SYLOSIS commented:

"All Glory, No Valour is a collective favourite from The New Flesh. Since the early demos, the song always stood out as one of the most aggressive that the band has ever put together. Instead of a standard video, we agreed that releasing a live version of it at some point would be best so listeners could really connect with the energy of the track. Filmed at our biggest headline show to date at London's O2 Forum in Kentish Town, this video really captures the essence of our live performance. Catch us live across North America over the next couple of months with Bleed From Within and across UK & Europe early next year with Whitechapel. We'll see you soon."

Last month, Sylosis released their career-defining record The New Flesh. The album is a towering testament to destructive riffing, incisive melody and refined brute force. The band’s seventh full-length offering is a powerful showcase for the state of Sylosis in 2026: lethal, uncompromising, and avowedly metal as all hell.

When the going gets tough, metal gets heavier. SYLOSIS have always been devoted to the fine art of breaking necks, but in recent times, the urgency of their mission has grown exponentially. Still surfing on a wave of acclaim and the effusive fan response to their last album, 2023’s A Sign Of Things To Come, Josh Middleton’s virtuoso wrecking crew are poised to release their latest and best album, The New Flesh. A towering testament to destructive riffing, incisive melody and refined brute force, the band’s seventh full-length offering is a powerful showcase for the state of SYLOSIS in 2026: lethal, uncompromising, and avowedly metal as all hell.

The New Flesh is a fearsome statement of renewed intent. Harder, heavier and more ruthless than its predecessor, it is full of the kind of explosive, riff-driven anthems that guarantee carnage in the pit. But this is no exercise in mindless bludgeon: instead, Josh Middleton has penned his most evocative and thought-provoking songs to date. From the punishing grooves and breakneck viciousness of the opening 'Beneath The Surface', to the epic conflagration of album closer 'Seeds In The River', The New Flesh is an artful and nuanced take on the pure metal that SYLOSIS hold close to their hearts. This is brutality and catchiness in perfect symbiosis.

Dark and destructive, but dynamic and diligent, SYLOSIS are on blistering, career-best form on The New Flesh. The purposeful reset that began with The Sign Of Things To Come has evolved into something unstoppable, and the band’s latest work brims with confidence and authority. If it’s skull-shattering, 21st century heavy metal you want, The New Flesh brings it like never before.

“The single is a reminder of the presence of women in rock n' roll, whether as artists, singers, or songwriters... And about our influence within this space, highlighting and showing the importance of each one of us in the creation of music.”

The rising star of the Brazilian rock scene has a name: MALVADA, and they are ready to take over the world!

Watch the Official Video for "RNR GRL" BELOW:

MALVADA was initially formed in March 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic. With a rock n' roll style full of personality, the band quickly attracted attention as one of the most promising acts in the Brazilian rock scene.

In January 2021, MALVADA released their first single entitled "Mais Um Gole," which gained greater prominence in the scene. Shortly afterwards, in May of the same year, it was time to release the second single, "Cada Escolha uma Renúncia," which preceded the launch of the band's debut album, 'A Noite Vai Ferver.'

In 2022 and 2023, MALVADA solidified its presence on the national rock panorama, performing more than a hundred shows in several cities in Brazil. The band had the privilege of participating in huge festivals, such as Rock in Rio, Best of Blues and Rock, Angra Fest, and Chama Rock, sharing the stage with renowned national and international rock names, like Pitty, Ira!, Angra, Viper, Edu Falaschi, Matanza, Golpe de Estado, Extreme, and Tom Morello.

In November 2023, MALVADA, composed of Indira Castillo, Bruna Tsuruda, Rafaela Reoliand Juliana Salgado surprised with a big announcement: the band has become the newest signee of the prestigious Italian label Frontiers Records, which has renowned bands in its catalog such as Mr. Big, Asia, Whitesnake, Jeff Scott Soto, among others, promising to take them to a new level, with opportunities to expand their reach and conquer the global market.

Their latest self-titled album, released last June and produced by the Brazilian Grammy-award-winning producer Giu Daga, delivers a powerful and exciting musical experience, featuring tracks in both English and Portuguese, setting the bar for the band to conquer a global audience.

MALVADA recently toured Europe with Michael Schenker, wrapping the tour up last month, and is set to play again at Rock in Rio in September, along with Bring Me The Horizon, Avenged Sevenfold, Bad Omens, and Poppy.

PRIME CREATION Announce New Studio Album Souls Of The Fallen And Release Lyric Video For First Single “Galactic Rebirth”!

Swedish melodic metal force PRIME CREATION have unveiled a brand new lyric video for their first single, “Galactic Rebirth”, taken from their upcoming studio album Souls Of The Fallen, set for release on June 26, 2026 via ROAR – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music. Pre-orders have just started at: https://primecreation.rpm.link/soulsPR

With “Galactic Rebirth,” the band delivers a powerful first glimpse into the album’s cinematic and emotionally charged direction, combining soaring melodies with relentless heaviness. The track dives deep into themes of cosmic conflict and existential struggle, as the band unveils:

“The song is about a cosmic war fought at the edge of extinction, where a dying sun and endless darkness set the stage for a final stand. It follows celestial warriors bound together by fate, legend, and shared sacrifice as they face overwhelming odds. Themes of fear, pain, and loss run through the battle, but so does defiance and unity. Overall, it’s about rising together to confront annihilation and leaving a mark through courage, even if victory comes at a cost.”

Stream “Galactic Rebirth”: https://primecreation.rpm.link/rebirthPR

The video below:

Formed in Sweden in 2015, PRIME CREATION quickly established themselves as a driving force in modern melodic heavy metal. Rising from the ashes of the power metal band Morifade, the group brought together skilled and experienced musicians with a clear vision: combine technical precision with powerful songwriting and a contemporary edge.

Following their self-titled debut in 2016 and the critically acclaimed Tears Of Rage (2019), the band continued to evolve, culminating in Tell Freedom I Said Hello (2023), which gained strong international attention. Known for their dynamic live presence, PRIME CREATION have toured across Europe and shared stages with acts like Masterplan and appeared at festivals alongside Europe and W.A.S.P.

With Souls Of The Fallen, produced by Niels Nielsen (Ghost, In Flames), the band take another decisive step forward, pushing their sound into darker, more progressive territory while staying true to their melodic roots.

PRIME CREATION is:

Modern Metalcore Band Downswing Release New Music Video for “In a Daze”

Albany, New York’s metal powerhouse DOWNSWING releases a brand new music video for their track “In a Daze,” today.  The track is found on the band’s recent album, And Everything Was Dark

Downswing’s Nick Manzella says, “On a record full of heavy riffs and breakdowns, ‘In A Daze’ pulls everything back and exposes a more vulnerable side of our band. The director, Garrett Drake, did an amazing job at bringing Harrison’s lyrics to life and capturing the emotion of the song through the visuals. I think the video shows what it means to truly love something that is destroying you but letting it happen anyway because it’s all you have left.”

Watch it below.

Downswing is also embarking on a national tour, supporting Zero 9:36 and Elijah. The tour kicks off on April 1st in Denver, CO, and wraps up on April 28 in Roseville, CA. Full dates are below.

Laura Cox Returns With "Not Your Story" Unreleased Single

French modern-rock artist Laura Cox returns with a brand-new, previously unheard single, "Not Your Story," out now via earMUSIC/verycords. Released in the middle of her current tour, the track delivers a relentless surge of raw rock energy — a fresh chapter that continues the spirit of her acclaimed album, Trouble Comingwhile revealing a darker,
more urgent edge.

Driven by a ticking, clock-like rhythm that dictates the pulse of the song, "Not Your Story" unfolds with a sense of constant tension. Click by click, the track builds into a gritty, guitar-heavy rock anthem with unmistakable '90s-tinged attitude —sharp riffs, pounding drums, and Laura Cox's unmistakable voice cutting straight through the noise. Lyrically, the song dives into the maze of ambition, pressure, and identity. It captures the moment when chasing someone else's dream becomes a trap - a place where the line between aspiration and obsession begins to blur. With lines that challenge the listener to question the path they’re on, "Not Your Story" becomes both a warning and a wake-up call: If the dream isn't yours, what's the point of chasing it?

HEY NOW Announces 1st Execs: VP Promo Brooke Diaz, National Promo + Streaming Directors

With the announcement of HEY NOW Records, a streamlined independent label built around the premise of super-serving singularly talented artists, President and Co-Founder Kris Lamb is pleased to announce key promotion executives VP Brooke Diaz, plus National Directors for the West and East Coasts Bill Lubitz and Jane Staszak. The seasoned industry leaders bring decades of hands-on experience from both the label and radio sides, creating not just earned knowledge, but a dynamic sense of how to make music connect with listeners in a way that sparks real reaction.

“Brooke is the most passionate person I know when it comes to this business,” Lamb says of the woman tapped to lead HEY NOW’s promotion efforts. “Her unmatched work ethic sets a level of intensity that inspires everyone around her. She’s incredibly creative, really cares about the artists and that leads to her being one of the best relationship builders I’ve ever seen.”

That commitment to excellence, creativity and artist advocacy is what drives the emergent label’s teams. Lamb sought National Directors who shared Diaz’s approach, tapping Bill Lubitz and Jane Staszak.

“Bill delivers every day with consistency, discipline and a real commitment to the work. The first one analyzing spins and digging into the data, his level of detail creates a strong foundation for everything we do, which makes him an important backbone of this team,” Lamb says of his West Coast National Director.

“Jane leads with passion, builds belief in the record and brings an energy that draws people in,” Lamb says of his East Coast National Director. “With decades of experience across radio and the broader business, she understands how to connect the dots, but what really sets her apart is how naturally she connects with artists and partners on a human level.”

For streaming, Lamb sought someone who could tailor their programs to each artist’s needs. Enlisting Anna Scott Welch as HEY NOW’s Director of Streaming, Lamb brought on a seasoned partner who’s worked across genres and companies for the widest reaching impact.

Lamb says of Scott Welch, “Anna’s deep understanding of the streaming landscape and how to translate data, audience and story into actual sustained momentum matters. Bringing a level of focus, clarity and strategic thinking that’s essential in today’s world, having Anna in this role is a major piece of how we build and scale to maximize each artist’s potential without losing what makes them stand out.”

For President and Co-Founder Lamb, teams are one of the cornerstones for HEY NOW’s artist-forward approach. Seeking to transform the meaning of record company function, music discovery and supporting creators in ways that matter, Lamb is working to create an ecosystem that is driven by a new model.

As Lamb says of his first wave of staff, “These are all people I’ve worked with and trusted over time. Bringing them together at HEY NOW creates a real advantage through their existing chemistry. Together they create something more connected and more focused, allowing us to move with intention, operate with clarity and build real audience platforms for our artists.

“That foundation is everything for what we’re setting out to do. I look forward to the future we are going to build, the music that’s coming soon, and a way to deliver for artists that’s tailored to everything they not only need but deserve.”

Congratulate the team at Brooke.Diaz@heynowrecords.com, Bill.Lubitz@heynowrecords.com, Jane.Staszak@heynowrecords.com and AnnaScott.Welch@heynowrecords.com.
