Lainey Wilson’s holiday EP, Peace, Love, & Cowboys (Holiday Edition), is out today on 12-inch vinyl, 7-inch vinyl and CD. The release is just the latest in a series of milestones for Wilson, who hosted the 59th CMA Awards earlier this week (the first solo female host since Reba McEntire in 1991), where she also won three awardsEntertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year (Whirlwind)—and performed twice during the live broadcast: a musical medley monologue and her song “Ring Finger.”  
Moreover, Wilson is nominated for three awards at the 68th Grammy Awards—Best Country Song (“Somewhere Over Laredo”), Best Country Solo Performance (“Somewhere Over Laredo”) and Best Country Duo/Group Performance (“Trailblazer” with Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert)—will perform during next week’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and is on the cover of US Weekly’s Humankind Issue this week, highlighting her Heart Like A Truck Fund (read HERE).

Randy Houser Releases Regret-Proof "Back In The Bottle"

Leading up to the song’s release, Houser shared the inspiration for the song on socials: “When I had the idea for ‘Back In The Bottle,’ not to name drop, but I was hanging out with Post Malone, and we went to the studio. Didn’t even leave to get started ‘til probably midnight. We did two nights like that, and we were having a great time, writing and drinking.
 
“So that gave me the idea: ‘If I could put last night back in the bottle, I’d pull last night back down and drink it again,’” he shared with a laugh. “And we’ve all had those nights. How many times have we hair-of-the-dogged it? Sometimes you just gotta keep rocking and keep having fun.”

Lainey Wilson returned to serve as host for the 2025 CMA Awardsmarking her first time solo hosting the program and taking home three awards including her second win for the top honor Entertainer of the Year. Kenny Chesney Celebrates HEART LIFE MUSIC's #1 NY TIMES Bow w NYC Book Event 12/2

When Kenny Chesney’s Heart Life Music debuted at No. 1 on the New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction and Combined Print and E-Book Nonfiction lists, the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar who became the 2025 Country Music Hall of Fame Contemporary inductee and first country artist to take his music into another dimension at Las Vegas’ Sphere knew there was only one way to celebrate: a book event in New York City. After closing the opening weekend of the prestigious Miami Book Fair with a sold-out conversation with co-author and friend Holly Gleason, the pair will do one more book event in partnership with the Strand at Kaufman Music Center on the Upper West Side.

Oakland's Sword Tongue presents new 'Diamonds To Dust (Anthony H. Remix)'

Oakland alt-rock trio Sword Tongue presents their new offering - 'Diamonds To Dust (Anthony H. Remix)', an infectious, tribal inspired, EDM version of the original 'Diamonds To Rust', a highlight track from the recently-released 'Bonfire In The Tempest' - the band's fourth EP to date. Fusing dark electricity and soaring emotion, this remix harnesses a storm of tension and release within a hypnotic, irresistible groove.

The 'Bonfire in the Tempest' EP was produced by Dan Milligan, brainchild of The Joy Thieves, who has co-created, produced and remixed such artists as Chris Connelly, PIG and Consolidated, and members of such bands as Ministry, Stabbing Westward, The Rollins Band, Killing Joke, David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails, among others.

Just recently, Sword Tongue released the single 'Murder White Noise', a wry commentary on the state of the world and our attempts to soothe ourselves to get through it, and 'We Are The Resistance', a unified protest anthem that marks the 249th anniversary of the USA's founding.

Gaetano Maleki shares, “In the last few years, Jennifer and I have had some significant milestones with our children coming into adulthood. It made us realize how fleeting it all is, as cliché as that sounds.”

Galvanized during our current age of cultural upheaval, this EP bursts with raw emotion and is tempered by sophisticated production. Blending alt-rock, post-punk and dream pop, it explores anguish, anger, transformation and triumph. Vocals oscillate between a croon and a roar, seduction and rage against the backdrop of shimmering guitar tones, mesmerizing bass, and intricate drum lines.

Milwaukee Metal Festival 2026 is pleased to now welcome ACID BATH as the first headliner for next year!

Vana Signs to Sumerian Records, Drops Brand New Single & Music Video "Pray"

Auckland-based, RnB tinged industrial metal vanguard, Vana has announced her signing to Sumerian Records and releases "Pray” today. The signing marks a significant shift for the self-taught multi-instrumentalist, who has already built a devoted global following and over 85 million streams across platforms independently. Her brand new single "Pray" and its accompanying music video arrive as Vana is wrapping up her US tour supporting Set It Off and Fame On Fire, bringing her unique blend of industrial alt-metal, trap and R&B to packed rooms across the country. Pray” explores the fracture of reality through the lens of someone experiencing psychosis and mania, twisting religious iconography into a portrait of psychological chaos. It also reflects Vana’s personal relationship with religion and its impact on her life. An influence that runs through her writing alongside her fascination with gothic literature, anime, Lovecraftian horror, and the perspective of the misunderstood. Speaking on her new release and singing to Sumerian Records, Vana shares

"This song stems from the idea of how it'd feel experiencing psychosis. Sonically, this song is just as chaotic as I'd imagine someone's psyche would be if they were in a manic episode. Almost as if both the angel and the devil on your shoulders were both screaming in your ears at the same time.

"Signing with Sumerian feels like I've found a label that understands my brain. "They believed in 'Pray' the second they heard it, as well as in the world I want to create around my project. This song is the beginning of a whole cinematic universe I've been dying to create. I feel like I just joined the perfect team to help me make the chaos in my brain real. Launching 'Pray' with Sumerian already feels like the start of something huge, and I can't wait for everyone to see what we've been cooking!"

Vana taught herself guitar, bass, and production as a teenager in Auckland, originally imagining a career as a lead guitarist before stepping into the spotlight herself. Her breakout single "Beg!" amassed 18.8 million Spotify streams and 1.7 million video views independently, cementing her as one of the most buzzworthy names in alternative music. With 765,000 monthly Spotify listeners, 895,000 TikTok followers, and 298,000 Instagram followers, she's built her fanbase through unfiltered online connection, streaming on Twitch, engaging fans over shared obsessions with fantasy gaming, horror films, and anime.

The JAZZ From HELL festival will take over Le Poisson Rouge on Friday, December 12, 2025, presenting an electrifying evening of experimental sound and forward-thinking performance. Leading the lineup is the acclaimed New York avant-metal trio IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT, who will deliver a special collaboration with the GOLDSTAR METROPOLE ORCHESTRA. This unique performance will unite the band’s signature fusion of technical metal, jazz complexity, and cinematic atmospheres with a full big-band ensemble, creating a rare large-scale presentation of their music.

The festival will also feature performances by JERSEYBAND and KILTER, both known for their adventurous approaches to genre, rhythm, and improvisation. Each act contributes to a program designed to celebrate artists who push musical boundaries and explore new sonic architectures. Melodic Death Metal CARRION VAEL Unleashes New Single, "19(fucking)78" and Announces Ferocious Fifth Album, "Slay Utterly"

Melodic death metal force of nature CARRION VAEL returns with a vengeance on their fifth album, Slay Utterly, to be released through Unique Leader Records on January 16 2026. Slay Utterly opens with its lead single, "19(fucking)78", which instantly sets the tone for the album's intensity and nuance. Featuring layers of technical guitar parts, slam riffs, and clean vocals, the band leaves no skill in their toolbox unused. Lyrically, the song is set in 1970s California; a particularly violent time in history, given the presence of the Hillside Stranglers. The lyrics contemplate issues of nature versus nurture, as well as an obsession with control by any means possible.

CARRION VAEL's technical prowess may take the spotlight on this album, but they are storytellers at their core. Each song on Slay Utterly explores the story of a different serial killer. The perspective jumps between the killer themselves, and the experiences of the victims. On the whole, the album presents a collection of stories delving into the psyches of famous axe murderers, slashers, and other uniquely violent killers throughout history. 

Though raw and ferocious at their core, the band weaves intricate technical nuances throughout the album. Punchy riffs and rhythms drive the intensity home, while memorable lead guitar lines and powerful vocal performances leave a lasting impact. Fans can experience the album live as MØL embark on a headline tour across Europe and the UK throughout February 2026 with support from Tayne and Cold Night For Alligators, promising shows that translate the album’s intensity into a visceral, unforgettable performance.

Nailed Shut MA Drop "Broken & Curled" Video

NAILED SHUT MA consistently bring raw energy and thoughtful disorder to each and every performance, delivering a sonic force that pushes New England's hardcore/deathcore scene to the next level. Forming in 2022, the Boston five-piece — Asher Thomas (vocals), Joel Arnall (guitar/BGV), Mason Roth (guitar/BGV), Owen Chepow (bass), and Jake Thompson (drums) — has dropped the video for the noisy and gnarly new single "Broken & Curled."

"The lyrics depict being lowered into the earth, post-death, after giving into one's internal struggles," the band explains about the thoroughly manic track. "The video spotlights this internal struggle and the loss of one's self."

With punishing unconventional vocals, Asher creates depictions of bodily and psychological horror through lyricism centered around mental health awareness. The rest of the band reflects these themes musically through brutal riffs, tight drum grooves, and a gut-wrenching low end. In 2023, the band released its debut EP Lust in the End, which Idioteq described as "a surreal journey…delving into the darkest corners of the human experience."

British Metalcore Act Shields Share New Single "Parasites"

British metalcore band Shields have released their new single "Parasites."

The song is taken from their upcoming studio album Death & Connection, to be released on January 30 via Long Branch Records

"'Parasites' is about the experience of sinking into depression and the warped internal relationship that develops within that state," comments singer Joe Edwards. "Originally a rock song from a previous project, 'Parasites' was repurposed for our album. As the original track already had dark undertones, it was easy to re-frame it in moody industrial arrangements, allowing for a wide range of dynamic shifts between sections."

The band shares, "Our new album Death & Connection is a body of work born from the absence of the people who no longer hold space in our lives. This record was created from a necessity to express and soothe our deepest losses; however, that was never the intention — we simply set out to make an album we wanted to hear."

Founded in 2012 by primary songwriters Joe Edwards (vocals) and Samuel Kubrick Finney (guitar/vocals), Shields quickly made an impact in the heavy music scene with their viral single "I Just Feel Hate" — a track they re-released in a newly reimagined version in April 2025. Their EP GUILT cemented their refined sound, blending brutal instrumentation with poignant, emotionally driven lyrics. Their return marks a bold decision, given the tragic circumstances surrounding their 2018 split. Founded in 2023, VESSELES is the sonic vessel through which Valira speaks the language of her origins. As composer, orchestrator, and architect, she crafts bleak, incantatory soundscapes that fuse serrated guitars with haunted symphonic textures. ALL THE DAMN VAMPIRES Turn Benny Mardones' "Into The Night" Into A Gothic Midnight Tragedy

Los Angeles-based synthwave-meets-alternative-metal pioneers All The Damn Vampires drop their haunting reimagination of Benny Mardones' 1980 ballad "Into The Night" today, transforming the classic into a gothic midnight tragedy. The track arrives as the second single from the trio's highly anticipated debut album VICECORE, set for release February 4th, 2026. Founded, produced, mixed, and mastered by multi-instrumentalist Davey Oberlin - a longtime touring member of Korn who's also played in Winds of Plague and been a touring guitarist for Five Finger Death Punch - All The Damn Vampires builds on the original's tender vulnerability transmuting it into something altogether more sinister. Where Mardones delivered romantic yearning, Oberlin and powerhouse vocalist Ryan Rose conjure something darker: a fever dream of doomed love, violent transformation, and supernatural obsession.

"Our reimagining of 'Into The Night' takes the classic Benny Mardones ballad into darker, more goth metal-inspired territory," Oberlin explains. "A midnight race through the hills, a tragic crash, and a love that refuses to die.

One saved by fire. One saved by blood. Both forever changed."

The accompanying lyric video, created by Oberlin, features visuals inspired by classic choose-your-own-adventure books and offers cryptic glimpses into the song's reimagined narrative. Rather than spelling out the story, the video presents fragments of fever dream imagery that lets listeners connect the pieces and imagine their own ending. It's storytelling as much as sound design, inviting audiences into a world where love, death and immortality intertwine.

This mysterious story imagined by Oberlin, is the cinematic heartbeat of VICECORE, an album designed to evoke golden hour drives with the top down along the Pacific Coast Highway whilst ruminating on heartbreak and revenge. Recorded over 18 months, the album weaves completely reimagined covers of classic tracks (including Whitesnake's "Is This Love," Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight," and Cutting Crew's "(I Just) Died In Your Arms") with original songs, blurring the line between the two. The album features contributions from synthwave producer Sunglasses Kid on the title track, vocals from Jack Underkofler of Dead Poets Society on "Falling Into Darkness" plus guitar solos from virtuosos Andy James and Miles Dimitri Baker, who also rounds out the live lineup. The aesthetic draws from Miami Vice, hardcore merch culture, and Los Angeles gang imagery, filtered through Oberlin's deep love of film soundtracks ranging from The Goonies to John Carpenter's catalog, and a childhood spent obsessing over Type O Negative, Korn, and Alice in Chains.

All The Damn Vampires has already carved out a lane at the intersection of heavy music and visual media. The project's music has appeared in cult horror film Terrifier 2, while Oberlin's collaboration with Avenged Sevenfold on a reimagined version of "Ordinary", which he produced and co-wrote, debuted via a secret Fortnite puzzle, introducing the project to an entirely unexpected audience. Scottish metal titans Bleed From Within are thrilled to announce their very first North American headline run: 'The Zenith Tour'! The  27-date trek will kick off on April 2nd (Worcester, MA) and run all the way through to May 7th (New York, NY), with stops in Montreal, Chicago, LA, and Dallas. Joining the band as special guests are UK metal powerhouse SYLOSIS, along with GREAT AMERICAN GHOST and LIFE CYCLES.

After 20 years, Bleed from Within have reached their Zenith. The Glasgow firebrands are one of the hardest working acts in metal: playing shows globally with everyone from Megadeth to Slipknot, all while writing and regularly releasing monstrous, exhilarating songs. The upward journey reaches new heights on their seventh album, which contains the band’s heaviest, catchiest and most intrepid music to date.

Bleed – vocalist Scott Kennedy, guitarists Craig “Goonzi” Gowans and Steven Jones, drummer Ali Richardson and bassist Davie Provan – have long been Scottish metal’s most valued sons, constantly at the vanguard of muscular-sounding music. First albums Humanity(2009) and Empire (2010) made them cult figureheads in the deathcore scene, before Uprising(2013) broadened their palate with groove metal adrenaline and melodic death metal prowess. It also marked their major-label debut, catapulting them onto tours with heavy royalty.

In 2018, the band returned with the ferocious Era. Then, follow-ups Fracture (2020) and Shrine(2022) proved their greatest triumphs to date, intertwining Scott’s snarls with Steven’s majestic singing. The millions of streams gathered by such singles as ‘The End of All We Know’, ‘Into Nothing’ and ‘Levitate’ proved Bleed had become the next big thing. On Zenith – which was announced alongside career-affirming tours with Slipknot, Trivium and Bullet for My Valentine – the quintet are primed to leap into superstardom.

Across 11 songs, Zenith explores the parameters of what pulse-pounding metal can do. ‘Violent Nature’ is the most attention-demanding opener Bleed have ever penned, accelerating from a distorted intro to an onslaught of drums, blitzkrieg riffs and layer upon layer of screams. Single ‘In Place of Your Halo’ is a heavier counterpoint: its hulking groove leads up to a surprising bagpipe section, keeping the band in touch with their homeland as they affirm themselves on the world’s stage. From the bold string sections throughout the album to finale ‘Edge of Infinity’, which rises from acoustic guitars and singing to an almighty crescendo, Bleed’s horizons have never been broader. Yet, their songs have never felt so invigorating across the board either.
