Shields Surprise Fans With Official Release of Iconic Single "I Just Feel Hate" From 12 Years Ago!

"I'd rather drown than speak another lie to you // It seems the feeling is not mutual //Anger fills my heart..."

Those are lyrics from "I Just Feel Hate" by British metalcore band Shields, who stirred up the UK metal scene more than 12 years ago with the backing of a YouTube video that since has been streamed millions of times.

All these years later, the song is leaving the underground and has been officially released for the first time — with a twist.

"This song was and still is hugely important to us. It put us on the map when we were still a small local band, and to this day, people have been asking for it to be released properly on streaming platforms. We decided to finally get our act together and do just that, and as a token of our appreciation for those that care about our band, we have recorded a new version of the track that stays true to the original song but with the sonic make-up and delivery of the band we have become in 2025. This is the first release of many — people will not have to wait much longer to see what else we have been quietly cooking up for the past year," says Shields' Sam Kubrick Finney.

Forming in 2012, Shields rapidly made a good impression on the metal community with "I Just Feel Hate," which was followed by their EP GUILT. 2018 saw the release of Shields' debut album Life In Exile, which included the singles "Black Dog" and "It's Killing Me." After a five-year hiatus, Shields returned in the summer of 2023, set to release a brand new song "Bury Me," just before they took the stage again at Burn It Down Festival UK. Throughout the band's career, Shields toured with bands such as Ice Nine Kills, Born Of Osiris, Chelsea Grin, Veil Of Maya, Escape the Fate, and Loathe.

Sleep Theory Drop "III" Video — WATCH // Headline Tour Kicks Off Next Month

Breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — recently announced their eagerly awaited debut album, Afterglow, which arrives on May 16 via Epitaph Records. The album offers a stunning display of diverse rock flavors and was produced by David Cowell and mixed by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Omens, Architects). Pre-order it here

They are sharing the video for new single "III."

Watch it below.

The song is a thrill ride, mixing synths and raucous riffing with the band's signature, stadium-sized melodies.

"At its core, 'III' is about betrayal," shares Moore about the intensely personal subject matter. "It's that gut-wrenching feeling when someone you trusted completely lets you down. The song dives into that pain, but it's also about facing the truth, even when it hurts and realizing not everyone is who they say they are."

He continues, "I want people to really think about who they let into their lives. Not everyone deserves your trust, and sometimes, those closest to you can do the most damage."

However, the song is meant to inspire hope and to find the positives that are embedded in a painful moment. Moore finishes, "But beyond, it's about learning from those experiences rather than letting them break you. If this song helps someone feel less alone in that kind of situation, then it's done its job."

"III" follows "Static," which peaked at No. 16 on Spotify Viral 50 in the U.S. and is the band's fastest-growing song to date, with over 12 million streams since its release. The album's lead single "Stuck In My Head" ascended to the No. 1 lot on the Active Rock radio charts — a first for the band! The song is currently No. 26 and building at Alternative radio. All told, Sleep Theory have accumulated 300 million streams across nine singles in their brief but blockbuster career thus far.

Sleep Theory will embark on its first-ever headline tour, kicking off on May 20 in Birmingham, Alabama and winding through the U.S. before wrapping on June 28 in their hometown of Memphis. The band has also booked appearances at select festival dates.  Support will come from Nevertel,  Oxymorrons, and Stray View. Get tickets here

Sleep Theory combine energetic hard rock and metalcore, alongside the powerhouse vocalist Cullen Moore. Praised by Jelly Roll and David Draiman, they've toured with Shinedown, Falling In Reverse, and Beartooth. In under two years, they became the fifth most-played artist on Active Rock radio. Afterglow and the Paper Hearts EP merge heavy rock with pop and R&B, producing anthemic bangers and emotional ballads. Saluted by Revolver, Loudwire, and Amazon Music as an Artist to Watch in 2025, they've become one of heavy music's biggest breakouts. With Afterglow, the quartet proves ready to ascend to the next level. Sleep Theory deliver the dynamic, heavy bounce and massive vocal hooks that the rock world desperately needs. Moore is a powerhouse singer who outmatches nearly all his peers, recalling the most classic and timeless pop, R&B, and rock 'n' roll vocalists of the last several decades. Sleep Theory push themselves creatively at every turn, catapulting the genre to new sonic heights.

Dogma releases "Banned"; EU Tour Announced!

Sinners, the time has come. Dogma’s newest invocation, "Banned," is here, a profane melody woven in flesh and defiance, a hymn to liberation wrapped in forbidden rhythms, a  fusion of metal and tango that tears through the veil of sanctimony.

Some acts are condemned, others are justified. Who draws the line? "Banned" tells another chapter of the story, the moment desire collides with imposed virtue, where submission is shattered, and pleasure becomes power.

But sinners, they are not stopping here.

For the first time ever, Dogma sets foot on European soil, joining forces with Patriarkh on the Sinning Over Europe Part 1 tour. With this, the first gates are broken, and their presence is marked across Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, and Belgium.

This is only the beginning. There are more places to reach, more sinners waiting in the shadows. Let this be a warning: Europe is ready for Dogma, and they are ready to take it.

MEET & GREET WITH DOGMA: A CALL TO THE UNHOLY CONGREGATION

This first-ever European tour is not just about the stage. Dogma summons our sinners to a limited, intimate gathering beyond the lights and the noise. This is your chance to meet Dogma, to speak, to share, to be part of the movement.

These meet & greets are extremely limited. No show tickets included.  Reserve your place here: https://officialdogma.store/eu-meetngreet/

And sinner, if you come to the show, don’t come empty.  Wear your Dogma emblems. Let us see you under the crimson light adorned in your devotion.  “Banned” is out.  Europe awaits.  Will you join the sin?

MESSAGE FROM LILITH

Sinners,

For the first time, we set foot on European soil. A land steeped in history, contradiction, and rebellion, where saints were martyred, heretics burned, and revolutions born. Now, Dogma arrives, not to kneel, but to rise.

"Banned" is revelation. A wound torn open, a truth they buried, a desire they shamed. It is not just a song, but a confession, a defiance, a sin they tried to erase. Some will flinch, some will fall silent, and some will wake up, which one will you be?

To those who will stand before us on this tour, I want to see you. I want to see you wearing our emblems, our mark, your devotion. Show me that Europe is ready. Show me that Dogma belongs here.

This is just the beginning.

Rise. Sin. Be free. Cause this is not Banned.

BLEED FROM WITHIN - release video for 'Violent Nature' + new album 'Zenith' out NOW

Metal titans BLEED FROM WITHIN have today released their brand new studio album, Zenith, via Nuclear Blast Records. After their most successful year to date, Zenith's whirlwind of accomplished songwriting, white-hot metal fury and hard-earned confidence proves the best is yet to come from the Scottish heavyweights. To coincide with the album release, they have also revealed a video for storming opening track 'Violent Nature'.

On the release of their new album, the band comment:

"Today is the day. Friday 4th April 2025 marks the release of our greatest work so far. This is the best collection of songs we ever put together and a massive step forward for us creatively. Since we released Hands Of Sin last year, we've worked very hard on delivering something essential to our needs. Something that gave purpose to the time we'd dedicated and something we felt was missing in modern metal. Now, almost a year later, we are ready to share it with the world and see where it takes us. Here's to the future.

Ali, Davie, Goonzi, Kennedy, Steven"

Mawiza Vocalist Speaking at TEDx Pucón

While pushing the boundaries of modern metal, Mawiza are deeply connected to their native roots.

The Chilean band have performed with the underground's biggest and heaviest influences - including Merycful Fate, Mastodon, Slipknot and Gojira - but they hail from the ancestral territory of Wallmapu, which belongs to the Mapuche Nation. By proudly embracing ancestral instruments, traditional chanting and the Mapuzungun language, the band's fierce bent on groove metal bridges contemporary and ancient culture.

This year, Mawiza are releasing their third album and first since signing with Season of Mist, which RollingStone named one of the 15 Latin Albums that they can't wait to hear. As they prepare to make their most spirited statement yet, today, the band's vocalist is delivering a speech at TEDx Pucón, a local event that's celebrating how nature inspires, nourishes and transforms local leaders in Chile. Awka will speak to how music can be a bridge between culture, territories and memories.

Watch Awka's speech at TEDx Pucón
Friday, April 4 @ 1:30 pm Eastern Time

https://www.ted.com/tedx/events/58778

After his speech, Awka will join his bandmates for a special acoustic performance, which will include new versions of songs from Mawiza's Pulsar Award-winning album Kollong

MAWIZA is a metal band originally from the Wallmapu, ancestral territory of the Mapuche Nation in South America, which sings in Mapuzungun, their ancestral language.

Their identity is based on the preservation of their roots, the relationship of the human being with nature and the conservation of biodiversity, guided by their cosmovision and cultural struggle.

Founded in 2014 as Nunca Seremos Dichosos, they released two albums under that moniker, Tierra (2017) and Kollong (2019). With this formation, they managed to tour not only Chile, but also Colombia and Bolivia. Kollong included the single "Mawiza ñi piwke", the first Metal song sung entirely in Mapuzungun. In 2020, the album won the prestigious Pulsar Award (Chilean Grammys) in the Best Metal Artist category.

After several line-up changes, in 2021, the band decided to change its name to Mawiza and leave behind its mixed use of Spanish and Mapuzungun. They committed to Mapuzungun as its sole language of expression.

Major milestones in the band’s career include: opening for Gojira and Mastodon in 2022 in front of more than 10,000 people, playing with Mercyful Fate at the Movistar Arena Santiago, performing at Knotfest Chile 2023 and playing in front of 30,000 people at the Pasiwali Festival in Taiwan.

Others include participating in the Fluvial music fair in Valdivia, as well as in the Micsur fair in Santiago.

In 2023, Mawiza released the single “Txükur” with the Mapuche rapper MC Millaray and a tremendous and very particular version of Metallica's “Battery”, which they adapted to Mapuzungun.

In August 2023, Mawiza were invited to record a live session by Joe Duplantier, leader of Gojira and owner of Silver Chord Studios in New York. They also visited West Side Studio, owned by renowned producer Alan Douches and performed an acoustic concert at Selva Gallery in Brooklyn.

At the end of 2024, Mawiza re-released Kollong. This version includes new recordings of vocals done entirely in Mapuzungun and drums re-recorded by Txalkan.

This year, Mawiza will release their third album on Season of Mist.

GHOST BATH - RELEASE MUSIC VIDEO FOR SECOND SINGLE, ' WELL, I TRIED DROWNING'

Depressive black metallers GHOST BATH have emerged from beyond the veil with their new album, Rose Thorn Necklace, which will be released on May 9th via Nuclear Blast Records.  The band, in their 12th year of existence, are not in the business of softening the edges. Rather, the frontman (Nameless aka Dennis Mikula) is leaning more toward his antisocial traits, serrated like a rusty knife yet beautifully honed over years of toil.

The band unveil the atmospheric second single, 'Well, I Tried Drowning'. Watch the video directed by Claudio Marino of Artax Film.

GHOST BATH comments, "'Well, I Tried Drowning' is a plea for death, not by my own hand but for someone else to do the courtesy as I have not been able to bring myself to do. It is a fantasy -rooted in wishful thinking- that someone would cut my throat in my sleep, finally ending my life as I drown in my own blood. Wish fulfillment in blunt, gory detail."

    • Red Swirl

Rose Thorn Necklace was recorded in 2024 between January and June. The drums were recorded and engineered by Mike Heller at Heaven and Heller Studios while the remaining sections were completed by Nameless (Dennis Mikula) at his home studio. The album was mixed and mastered by Jack Shirley. The cover artwork was created by Ksenija Tarasova. Free from the Moonlover-Starmourner-Self Loather conceptual trilogy, sole proprietor Nameless(aka Dennis Mikula) explores the most intense and introspective music from GHOST BATH’s oeuvre, advancing with blackened blasts and melancholic movements while moving his only child forward into the unknown.

GHOST BATH is:
Nameless (Dennis Mikula) | Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Piano, Synth
Mike Heller | Drums
Chewie a.k.a. Jason Tjoei | Piano

HOT MILK Share "Swallow This" Video

HOT MILK continue their Corporation P.O.P era with new single "Swallow This," which takes swipe at the so-called leaders of the world, who seem hell-bent on callously cavaliering us headfirst into collapse.

Talking further on the single, lead singer Han Mee expands, "We live in a post-truth era, we are confused, we are lost, and we are untrusting. We must follow our gut to what is moral, right and kind. 'Swallow This' is a protest song against the hypodermic needle of control media. They anger and press upon pressure points to gain control. As we have always said, 'QUESTION EVERYTHING.' It is healthy and it is right in this world that has evolved too fast for our primate brains to keep up. We must prioritize the wellness and safety of our fellow man, no matter their race, creed, religion, gender, or sexuality. We are human beings, do not let something as common as money and power replace what truly matters. Community, joy, laughter, spirit. I will stand on that picket line first if it comes to it, for now, this is all we got. Enjoy, f 'em."

Watch the video for "Swallow This" below.

Hot Milk's sophomore album Corporation P.O.P. is an extravagant, uncompromising assessment of the perilous world around us, examined through a sharp British lens that is both witty and universal.

Having studied a politics degree, Han Mee has used that with Corporation P.O.P. — where Hot Milk unleash the pent-up anger experienced en masse around the globe. "I've always felt like a bit of a white knight – it's my duty to save the world somehow," says Han. "I feel very, very impacted by the world's issues, consistently. I wanted to be an MEP [Member of European Parliament], that was my dream."

Despite its global outlook, Corporation P.O.P. is an album that takes root in Manchester and Salford, exemplified by the band's decision to shoot all of their videos in their hometown. "Newt Gingrich, who was a U.S. politician, once said, 'All politics is local,'" says Han. "I'm trying to look local and be involved locally so I can affect my world. This is how I survive, because the world can feel overwhelming."

"Manchester is the best f'in city in the world," she continues, getting somewhat emotional, having recently u-turned from a permanent move to L.A. when Manchester came calling back to her. "We started this band in Manchester, it's intrinsic to me and who I am. It has to bleed into the art we create, because it helped me create it."

Produced by the band's own Jim Shaw, with Zach Jones and KJ Strock, you can sense Hot Milk's killer instinct throughout the record, a result of the intensive writing process and recorded as live album, it offers the band at their heaviest with their raw, unapologetic lyrics which brim with unfiltered emotion.

Snapshotting the gloom of the present and unloading very real fears for the future, the sentiment behind Corporation P.O.P. might feel locked inside a time capsule. But fast forward two decades, and time will surely prove why this record carries the hallmarks of something timeless.

The album will be available as Color LP, Band Store Exclusive LP, and CD.

Psychedelic Garage Rockers THE CRYSTAL TEARDROP Announce Debut Album '... Is Forming' Due Out May 2nd via Popclaw/Rise Above

Psychedelic Garage Rockers THE CRYSTAL TEARDROP are proud to announce their debut album '... Is Forming,' due out May 2nd via Popclaw/Rise Above. To celebrate the announcement, the band has released the first single from the upcoming album titled "Colours Changing," accompanied by a music video available to view below.

The track features an authentic late ‘60s psychedelic feel with its swirling harmonies, fizzing fuzz guitar, spacey Mellotron and woozy stop-start backbeat.

Watch the Video For "Colours Changing" below.

'... Is Forming' is the highly anticipated debut album from THE CRYSTAL TEARDROP and features a dozen memorable compositions by the band’s Alexandra Rose and Leon Jones. It is sure to continue the momentum from their acclaimed 2024 single releases and their ecstatic live performances on stages across the UK and Europe.

THE CRYSTAL TEARDROP formed in Stoke-on-Trent in early 2023, “inspired,” explains Alexandra Rose, “by a mutual passion for the sights, sounds and creative experimentation of the late 1960s.” In addition to Alexandra on lead vocals and guitar, the band comprises Leon Jones (guitar, sitar), Stuart Gray (keyboards, Mellotron), Ed Quigley (bass, vocals), and Huw Woodward (drums, percussion). Intuitively blending elements of garage rock, folk-rock, power pop, and psychedelia, the band has created an appealing concoction infused with their own perspectives and personalities.

To best capture their sound, they recorded at an all-analog facility, Tilehouse Studio in North London, working closely with producer Liam Watson of Toe Rag fame.

On the recording experience, Alexandra comments:

Liam’s experience and technical know-how ensured that the recordings combine the essential elements of the band’s original material with the authentic feel of classic productions from the late 1960s. The analog recording environment allowed the group to utilize a wide range of classic techniques including phasing and reversed tape as well as an original Leslie speaker for vocal effects.”

Debt Neglector Release New Album "Kinda Rips" via Smartpunk Records

Smartpunk Records' Florida-based outspoken political punk rockers Debt Neglector have unleashed their full-length album "Kinda Rips." It is available to stream or purchase on the Smartpunk Records website.
The record is a diverse plethora of fast, heavy-hitting tracks that mark the band's most personal release to date while still maintaining their brutally honest, personable approach.

Listen below.

It rips. Kinda.

When discussing the album, Debt Neglector vocalist Alex Goldfarb says, "Kinda Rips is 13 pissed-off punk songs about how the world is falling apart around us. Lyrically, it deals with concepts like mental health, parenthood, mortality, impending societal collapse, and how everything just sorta sucks. Musically, we tried to create something that walked the line between catchy and aggressive, pulling influences from a wide variety of some of our favorite bands.”

The band's guitarist Chris Pfister adds, "Yeah, I even stole a chord from Ren & Stimpy, because why the hell not?!"

ABOUT DEBT NEGLECTOR:
Formed in 2016, these Florida punks have spent the last 8 years honing a sound that showcases their ability to blend catchy hooks with a vicious attitude. With four releases firmly under their belt, the “Atomicland” LP (2017), “The Kids are Pissed” EP (2018), the “Bad Faith” EP (2020), and the “Dirty Water” LP (2021), the band has already established themselves as a group that pulls no punches in their pursuit to call out injustice. Just to name a few, the band has screamed, shouted, and sang about systemic failures and distrust of the government, the fear of impending nuclear war, loss, depression, illness, and the USA’s sick obsession with assault rifles. And they’ve put their money where their mouth is by using their releases to double as fundraising efforts for organizations like the ACLU. Musically, their influences cover a lot of familiar and legendary punk rock ground. Taking notes from punk favorites the Descendents, Dillinger Four, and Bad Religion among others, Debt Neglector aren’t afraid to put their own spin on things. Their music keeps both a reverence for the past and a foot firmly placed in the present. The end result allows the band to craft songs with ripping fast drum beats, sing along choruses, quirky chord changes, and headbanging breaks. With past tours covering the US, Canada, and Europe, the band has set their sights on bringing their brand of pissed off punk music to whoever is ready and willing to listen. Debt Neglector are also no stranger to the festival scene with several appearances at The Fest (FL) and Sing it Out Loud Festival, and a showcase at Pouzza Fest (MTL), they have managed to share the stage with the likes of Propaghandi, Descendents and more. In 2024 Debt Neglector returned to the studio to follow up their past releases with a batch of new songs that has now become the “Kinda Rips” LP (Smartpunk Records – 2025). Their new music remains viciously political but also features some deeply personal topics including the pressures of fatherhood, insecurity, and dealing with mortality. The culmination is an album that is dynamic and relatable from a band whose angry and honest approach is a blunt kick in the pants to the powers that be.

ABOUT SMARTPUNK RECORDS:
Smartpunk has been a recognizable name in the scene for a long time (Remember that sponsored Warped Tour stage?!). After exchanging several hands and countless ideas of what it could and should be, they decided to start a record label in 2016 with the main idea of focusing solely on reissuing records that have been out of print or never on vinyl. After all, they're a label of vinyl dorks themselves! After releasing Set Your Goals' Mutiny and Gameface's Good, they started to venture into signing newer bands. They actively balance in between many worlds — putting out amazing music from friends and bands that rock, reissuing older titles, and partnering with other incredible labels in our scene and doing exclusive color variants of their releases.

Since forming the record label, Smartpunk Records has released timeless albums such as Less Than Jake's Anthem, Nominee's Lowlife, RIVALS' Sad Looks Pretty on Me, Virginity's POPMORTEM, and melodic skate punkers The Swellers' My Everest.

Eric Church Brings 'Evangeline vs. The Machine' to Red Rocks for Three Unique Shows This July

With his new album Evangeline vs. The Machine arriving May 2, Stereogum’s “greatest working rock star” Eric Church returns to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre for a special three-night run of distinct performances July 14-16, curating a unique, immersive experience for each show:

July 14: Eric Church vs. The Machine – a full-scale production featuring his band joined by a dynamic ensemble of strings, horns and choir combining to deliver an epic, must-see set.

July 15: Eric Church vs. The ECB – a raw, high-energy set with his original band, including longtime collaborator Joanna Cotten.

July 16: Eric Church vs. The Guitar – a stripped-down, intimate evening with Church alone on stage, delivering an acoustic performance like only he can.

Church’s history at Red Rocks is one of legend. He made his debut in August 2007 and his August 2016 performance at the venue was captured for a PBS special, highlighted by his hauntingly beautiful cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” A roughly once-a-decade experience, this return to Red Rocks marks his first performance at the venue since that show.

Tickets for this special three-night event will be available to Church Choir members on Monday, April 7, before opening to the general public on Friday, April 11. Become a Church Choir member here. Supporting Church across all three nights is Stephen Wilson Jr. and a limited number of three-day tickets are available for fans eager to see the full trio of shows.

With these one-off shows on the horizon to celebrate new album Evangeline vs. The Machine, lead single “Hands Of Time” is already impressing, having set a new personal record en route to becoming most added at Country radio last week with 135 first-week stations and earning immediate praise from fans and critics alike. Stereogum lauded the “juicy, fired-up Southern rocker about living in a world that increasingly makes no sense to you;” Rolling Stone celebrated the “nostalgic jukebox, full of allusions to songs and artists that were essential to Church’s career: Bob Seger and ‘Hollywood Nights,’ Tom Petty and ‘Even the Losers,’ AC/DC’s ‘Back in Black,’ and Willie and Waylon’s ‘Luckenbach, Texas,’ among them;” and Billboard honored the way “the song builds into a punchy, rock-fueled anthem as Church sings of turning to simple pleasures – particularly music – to fend off the impact of the passing decades.”

Among the other songs featured on the forthcoming Jay Joyce-produced album is “Darkest Hour,” released ahead of the project to support relief efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in September 2024, with all of Church’s publishing royalties donated to provide ongoing funds in support of a more resilient future for his home state of North Carolina. “That song had the chance to change things—it already has,” Church reflects. “The greatest concert I’ve ever played was the Concert for Carolina – that’s the greatest thing I’ve been involved with. This song played a big part of that night and is a rallying cry for the people there that still need a lot of help. As a person who writes and performs a song, seeing it truly impact people’s lives is the greatest thing you can hope to accomplish.”

Also included is “Johnny,” a soul-stirring reinterpretation inspired by “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” and the Covenant School tragedy, which Church has previewed in limited settings at both his Chief's To Beat The Devil residency and the recent Country Radio Seminar, leaving audiences in awe. “About a year ago, we had a shooting here in Nashville at the Covenant School,” he explained when introducing the song during CRS. “Where my kids go to school, my two boys, is about a mile from that school. I will tell you something, the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life – parent or otherwise – is dropping them off at that school the day after the shooting and watching them walk inside. I sat in the parking lot for a long time, and as fate would have it, as I was pulling out, Charlie Daniels was playing, ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia.’ I remember thinking, man, we could use Johnny right now, because the Devil’s not in Georgia, he’s everywhere. I went home and wrote ‘Johnny’.”

Ashley McBryde Celebrates 5 Years of 'Never Will' with ASL Music Videos

Grand Ole Opry member Ashley McBryde is marking the fifth anniversary of Never Will by partnering with Deaf Professional Arts Network (DPAN) and AmberG Productions during National Deaf History Month to release American Sign Language (ASL) interpretations of three music videos from her critically acclaimed sophomore album: RIAA Platinum-Certified “One Night Standards,” album opener “Hang In There Girl” and “Martha Divine.”McBryde took to social media alongside her friend Kim Bryant to share the announcement and celebrate the occasion.

McBryde first began learning ASL to communicate her needs following vocal cord surgery when she was unable to speak. While touring in 2023, her commitment to accessibility became an integral part of her career as she embraced ASL as another way to engage with her fans, incorporating signing into her performances and fostering a more inclusive concert experience.

Speaking with Inked Magazine, which recognized “through her vocals, raw storytelling, and direct actions, she champions the importance of belonging and community,” the Arkansas native reflected on her journey:

“It just became more and more apparent to me that one: I needed to learn more. And then I remembered we’ve got interpreters. And I thought it would be even cooler if I could thank the interpreters myself. And even better, can I thank my non-hearing and hard-of-hearing crowd? Because they’re there, or there wouldn’t be an interpreter. I want to thank them myself and say things like, ‘We see you, we’re happy you’re here, it’s nice to meet you, welcome to my show.’”

Never Will was released April 3, 2020 to widespread critical acclaim, as Variety called it “the pinnacle of what contemporary mainstream country can be,” while Rolling Stone lauded it as “proof that she’s one of country's sharpest truth-tellers,” and Billboard observed, “there’s something so visceral about McBryde’s lyrics and delivery that Never Will is an album you feel as much as hear.”

As she prepares to head back out on the road for Country Thunder Arizona and Stagecoach later this month among additional headlining dates, McBryde recently stopped by CMT Studios to perform her latest release “Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs,” with Stereogum calling it a “craggy and beautiful ballad,” and American Songwriter noting, “this is McBryde in top form.” Watch her performance below.

Annie Bosko Embraces West Coast Country Roots with New Single “California Cowgirl”

Gearing up to return to her home state for a performance at Stagecoach later this month, rising singer/songwriter Annie Bosko proves country music isn’t just about where you’re from, but who you are with her latest single “California Cowgirl,” available now via Stone Country Records. Listen below.

“This song is my way of saying that country is more than a place, it’s a way of life,” shares Bosko. “I grew up a farmer's daughter in California, where the values of hard work, faith and family are just as strong as anywhere else. This song is for anyone who’s ever felt like they had to prove their country roots.”

As a taste of her forthcoming debut album, “California Cowgirl” was produced by Trent Willmon and written by Bosko with Jason Sellers, Terri Jo Box and Lance Miller as a declaration that country girls can be found all over the map:

Currently climbing the charts at Country radio, Bosko’s duet “Better Than You” with multi-Platinum selling neo-traditionalist Joe Nichols landed in the top five most-added songs at Country radio for five consecutive weeks, including one week before impact date, as MusicRow boasts the song is “Terrific listening...Goosebump-thrilling sounding.”

Following her Rodeo Houston debut last month, where she kicked off opening night with a performance of the National Anthem (watch HERE), Bosko will perform at Stagecoach on the Mane Stage on Saturday, April 26.

The Neal Agency Signs Preston Cooper for Booking

When 22 year old Preston Cooper was first discovered in 2023 by the Warren Brothers’ Brad and Brett Warren while playing a corporate gig with them at a Holiday Inn in his home state of Ohio, the brothers took him under their wing, instantly recognizing the potential in Cooper’s soulful and blues-inspired vocals. Plugging into his relationship with The Neal Agency, Brett Warren connected Cooper with TNA, ultimately leading him to sign with the agency for booking.

Recalling the process that led Cooper to sign with TNA, general manager of TNA Ryan Beuschel recalls, “Brett called me in the summer of 2024 and was adamant he found someone special I needed to hear. Anytime Brett calls, you listen. His track record speaks for itself. Ernest, Mitchell Tenpenny, among others. He played me the music they recorded with Preston, and I was blown away.”

“When Preston came to visit our office, I was instantly struck by how genuine and kind he is. I had the thought beforehand, ‘how can I help this guy achieve his goals?’ Within seconds of him playing his first song, I realized he’s walking around with another superpower – his voice,” recalls Brian Carothers, agent at TNA. “Preston singing while strumming an acoustic guitar is stop you-in-your-tracks talent. I know I speak for everyone at The Neal Agency when I say we are beyond grateful to be on his team, and we’re thrilled for the opportunity to support his touring career.”

“Its such an honor to see my name on The Neal Agency’s roster,” Cooper shares. “I came to town hoping to work with good people and that’s exactly what I found at The Neal Agency. Brian, Ryan, Austin and that entire team are rockstars.”

With a vocal so expressive it builds into jaw-dropping eruptions of power and emotion, Cooper represents the start of a new generation in Country Rock. The biggest voice to ever hail from the tiny town of Fredericktown, Ohio, Cooper is a potent force of nature, drawing comparisons to icons like Chris Stapleton and Bob Seger.

Cooper first picked up a guitar as a high school freshman. He joined the US Postal Service after graduation and found local fame as “The Singing Mailman” – walking up to 14 miles each day while belting out raw, raspy vocal runs, then clocking out to perform across the region.

With his debut album, Toledo Talkin’releasing May 30, the first chapter of this generational talent’s story unfolds. With 12 incendiary tracks – all but three co-written by the no-frills newcomer – Toledo Talkin’ was recorded with an old-school, full-band process, lashed together with sheer vocal intensity miles different from the Music Row norm.

The album wields a mix of raw, organic Country and edgy Alt Rock, as evidenced on his show-stopping debut track “Weak,” emotive “One More Place I’ve Never Been,” shot of nostalgia “Numbers On A Mailbox,” and highway rocker “One For The Road.” Preston is currently on tour as direct support for Kameron Marlowe’s  Keepin’ The Lights On Tour and will join Riley Green this summer on select dates of the Damn Country Music Tour

ALBUM RELEASE: Thornhill Unleash New Album 'BODIES'; Drop Visualizer for "Under The Knife"

The wait is over, and today an astonishing new era for Melbourne's Thornhill has arrived via their brand new studio album BODIES, out now via UNFD. Accompanying the album is the release of visualizer for under the knife. Stream BODIES here and watch the visualizer below.

A dauntless pastiche of creative freedom and ingenuity, BODIES finds Thornhill in full flight, with its 11 tracks layered with authenticity and electrifying execution, cementing the group's status yet again as one of Australia's most engaging heavy acts.

Opening with percolating bounce via DIESELBODIES thrives with caustic urgency (Revolver), swooning melodics soaked in oscillating chaos and clarity (Silver Swarm), serene reprieves (fall into the wind), grinding swagger (TONGUES) and mellow R&B flavours (CRUSH), offering an expansive and kaleidoscopic palette that circles upbeat buoyancy and crushing heaviness; a snapshot of Thornhill in their most assured form to date.

Coinciding with the release today of BODIESThornhill have also shared a visualizer for the album's haunting penultimate track under the knife. Providing context on the new track, the band share

"We wanted to convey an underlying fear of being unnoticed or forgotten, the notion of a silhouette falling between fingers conveys a message of fleeting moments—something that can be grasped but never fully held. Within the atmosphere of the instrumentation, a haunting exploration of love and lust, blends these two feelings into something more tragic, yet hopefully relatable. There's a delicate balance between submission ("underneath your knife") and resistance ("I don’t wanna know yet"), which creates a soft tension, a push/pull that moves with song dynamics."

In celebration of the new album, for the first time ever, Thornhill will headline stages across North America in Spring 2025. The tour is already shaping up to be a massive success, with their Los Angeles show on April 11th at The Echo officially sold out and several other dates on low ticket warnings two months out. Featuring AVOID, Ocean Grove, and Banks Arcade, this spectacular line-up is an unmissable event for fans of modern heavy music. Get tickets before they sell out HERE. The band also recently announced that they will be playing Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, September 19th, 2025. For further info and to purchase tickets, head to louderthanlifefestival.com/

Commenting on their first ever US headline run, Thornhill shares:

“We couldn’t be more excited to announce our very first North American headline tour! It’s something we’ve dreamed about for years, and now it’s finally happening. We’re bringing along some incredible friends—AVOID, Ocean Grove, and Banks Arcade—and trust us, this lineup is going to deliver a high-energy show from start to finish. We’re so gassed to bring the songs of our new album ‘Bodies’ to the stage.”

ABOUT THORNHILL

Eternal purveyors of artful and engaging heavy creations, Thornhill possess a flair for nuanced rock beyond their influences. Via their ARIA Award-nominated 2022 album Heroine, Thornhill solidified a steadfast reputation as one of the most innovative and immersive heavy acts in the Australian scene, with Heroine debuting at #3 on the ARIA Albums charts, and at #1 on the Australian Albums charts.

Thornhill have amassed a heaving array of accolades over the years, including triple j's Feature Album and additions to countless Best Of The Year listings for their 2019 release The Dark Pool. And in 2023 and 2024, the band gifted some insatiable new material courtesy of standalone singles "Viper Room" and "Obsession", as well as a live album, Live On Tour!, boasting performances captured in the wild across the globe that released in June.

Thornhill kicked off 2024 supporting Silent Planet on extensive North American run, before joining Aussie heavies Polaris on tour in the UK and Europe, appearing at Impericon Festival alongside As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red and While She Sleeps, and touring North America supporting Northlane. Thornhill joined Fear Factory, Thy Art Is Murder, Hands Like Houses and many more performing at last year's Froth & Fury Fest in Adelaide, ending the year with a huge headlining a huge run across the UK and Europe.

The band have released three previous singles from their new album BODIES - "TONGUES" which featured swirling melodies, gut-punching heaviness, and deeply evocative lyricism, “Silver Swarm” which explored the chaotic manipulation and push-pull of toxic relationships, while “nerv.” fused haunting electronics with nu-metal fury, earning the band widespread acclaim, a Spotify cover feature on The Core playlist, and adds to Kickass Metal and All New Metal playlists. Together, the singles have racked up 5 million Spotify streams and 642,000 YouTube views.

Now, armed with their most ambitious and thrilling work to date and ready to lay waste to stages across the US on their immient BODIESheadline tour, Thornhill continue their quest to reinvent heavy music with the release of 'BODIES'. Speaking on their upcoming release, the band share

“‘BODIES’ marks a bold evolution in our ever-developing sound. ‘Heroine’ was defined by its meticulously crafted and tightly woven concept, but the weight of this careful construction sometimes overshadowed the energy of the music itself, leaving some listeners feeling disconnected. With ‘BODIES,’ we’ve embraced a more immediate, unfiltered approach that feels like a lightning bolt, looking to capture the energy of ‘Thornhill right now.’

The album thrives on spontaneity and freedom, foregoing rigid concepts in favour of pure, in-your-face authenticity. It’s less about delivering a carefully constructed narrative and more about creating a visceral, open-ended experience. ‘BODIES’ serves as a sonic moodboard—a collection of feelings and vibes—intentionally left open to interpretation. It has an upbeat and almost celebratory, party energy at times, but also retains all the emotion and intensity Thornhill are known for, making it our heaviest and most explosive work to date.

With ‘BODIES,’ we invite listeners to connect on their own terms. It’s raw, personal, and unapologetically immediate—a record that thrives in the moment, capturing our band at our most authentic and free.”

BENEDICTION - Release Lyric Video For 'A Carrion Harvest' + "Ravage Of Empires" Album Out Now + EU Tour Starts Today!

Today, British death metal legends, BENEDICTION, are celebrating the release of their highly anticipated new album Ravage Of Empires, not only with the coinciding release of a lyric video for the album's devastating opening track 'A Carrion Harvest', but also by kicking off their European tour with guests Junge Rot & Master tonight in Hamburg.

"Brace for impact, or be blown away" - these lines from the chorus of fast-paced ripper 'A Carrion Harvest' can be regarded as a condensed instruction manual for Ravage Of Empires. The album's opening track sets the stage for a demonstration of pure old-school death metal power in eleven chapters by one of the genre's pioneers, and its torch bearers to this day and age.

You can watch the lyric video for 'A Carrion Harvest' below or stream Ravage Of Empires in full at a service of your choice.

ABOUT BENEDICTION

“Sometimes They Come Back” is not just the title of a horror movie based on a macabre tale by Stephen King, it is also a summary of what happened to UK death metal veterans BENEDICTION, yet you might like to add a “better than ever before”. While never officially disbanded, 2020’s Scriptures, the group’s eighth studio album achieved what is usually not an easy feat. It connected well with classics like Transcend the Rubicon (1993) and its immediate and memorable songwriting, the heavy-as-a-brick Grind Bastard (1998), and also saw legendary vocalist Dave Ingram return with his merciless roar and knack for morbid, twisted lyrics. After two albums with Dave Hunt on vocals, Scriptures was BENEDICTION’s first record in over a decade impressing with aggressive up-tempo attacks like ‘Iterations of I’ and ‘Rabid Carnality’ or the neck-breaking mid-tempo barrage of ‘Stormcrow’, songs that became live staples alongside ‘evergreens’ such as ‘I Bow to None’, ‘Magnificat’, ‘Subconscious Terror’ or ‘Vision in the Shroud’ in no time. With Scriptures, BENEDICTION even almost cracked Germany’s top ten by entering at a phenomenal #11 of the Official German Charts showing that the death metal veterans founded 1989 in Birmingham, England, offered an extremely well received sonic catharsis when due to the pandemic, people were locked down and pissed off.

With their brilliant new record Ravage Of Empires in tow, founding members and guitarists Darren Brookes and Peter Rew, longtime vocalist Dave Ingram, drummer Giovanni Durst, and Nik Sampson (bass) will travel far and wide once more. Already confirmed are the Tales of the Triple Death Tour with Jungle Rot and Master kicking off on album release date as well as confirmed appearances at Wacken Open Air and Maryland Deathfest. More to be announced soon!

ELECTRIC WIZARD Announces ‘Crystal Meth’ Pressing Of ‘Black Magic Rituals And Perversions Vol. 1' Due Out May 2nd 2025 via Spinefarm/Witchfinder Records

Today, legendary British doom outfit, ELECTRIC WIZARD, announces the release of a special limited edition ‘Crystal Meth’ pressing of their current 2 disc live-to-tape album, ‘Black Magic Rituals and Perversions Vol. 1’ set for release on May 2nd via Spinefarm/Witchfinder Records.

Originally released in December 2024 and recorded into a 16-track tape machine, capturing their essence and their malevolence, 'Black Magic Rituals and Perversions Vol. 1' is as heavy as one would expect from The WIZARD.

“It's raw as fuck,” boasts Jus. “It’s like a lost ’70s black metal demo rehearsal session or something. It’s raw, nasty, screaming in your face. I always promised ELECTRIC WIZARD was like rats in your face. This is verging on it.”

Watch the Video for "Black Mass" Below.

As the COVID pandemic took hold in 2020, ELECTRIC WIZARD wondered if they might ever play live again. Out in the wilds of the English Westcountry where singer/guitarist Jus Oborn and guitarist Liz Buckingham live, the band descended into their crypt-like jam space to make a live album like no other.

“We’d been gigging for two years at that point, around America three times, going to Japan and Australia, and we were sounding pretty good by the end of it,” adds Jus. “When the pandemic happened we thought, ‘F**k it, maybe we’ll never play again.’ So we went into the jam room and played the songs to get them on tape to capture how we were playing at the time.”

Opening with the enormous "Dopethrone", and taking in signature apocalyptic doom staples like "Witchcult Today," "Satanic Rites of Drugula," and the ever-destructive "Funeralopolis," the set here shows how powerful and dominating The Wizard can be.

Jus says he wanted to capture a feeling like that of Motörhead’s classic 'No Sleep 'til Hammersmith' (1981), or the sense from 'KISS’ ALIVE!' (1975) that you were getting a window into something, a world the band created. It’s also, he says, an opportunity for a band as big and cult-like as ELECTRIC WIZARD to bring something from metal’s dirty underbelly into the light, if only to freak out the unprepared.

“We've always been trying to drag the underground into the overground,” offers Jus. “Rather than pretending to be playing some big stadium, arena show.”

A soundtrack to the end of the world? Come this way, my fanatics. Electric F**king Wizard awaits…

Tarja Releases "Diva (Live in Bucharest)" Video

Originally featured on Tarja's 2016 album The Shadow Self, "Diva" is a dramatic and powerful anthem that quickly became a fan favorite and one of the classics played on tour. This rendition, recorded in Bucharest at the spectacular Circus Life concert, showcases Tarja's signature vocal mastery, theatrical presence, and the grandeur of her live shows.

"There is a lovely memory behind 'Diva.' We were in Antigua and walking around the local harbor when we saw this old boat stored outside the water and that quickly inspired me to write a pirate themed song," Tarja says. "I playfully described the last walk of the 'Diva' on the ship before being pushed out by the rats on board. Any resemblance to reality is pure coincidence."

Access "Diva (Live in Bucharest)" below.

Recorded in January 2020, in Bucharest, Romania, the Circus Life show was one of a kind when Tarja performed in this very special "in the round" format. Two hours of powerful music featuring a setlist that spans Tarja's career, including all of her greatest hits such as "I Walk Alone," "Until My Last Breath," and "Innocence," as well as fan favorites like "Victim of Ritual" and "Demons In You," showcasing her evolution as an artist.

Featuring 16 accomplished musicians, including her brother Toni, and a diverse ensemble from various stages of her career, it was an extraordinary event. All songs were provided with new arrangements just for this concert, making the show a unique experience for the long-time Tarja fan, as well as the first-time listener.

Circus Life was recorded in one take, 100% live – no re-recordings, no overdubs, no special effects. Just pure, raw music.

Larry Fleet's Ode "A Lotta Women" Out Now

Country hitmaker Larry Fleet may be a self-proclaimed rollin’, ramblin’ and gamblin’ man, however behind it all is the woman who keeps him steady—his wife. Built from grit and grace, her unshakable loyalty shines as the inspiration behind Fleet’s newest release, “A Lotta Women.” Listen Below.

Fleet’s release arrives as his headlining Hard Work & Holy Water Tour spans the United States with sold-out shows featuring Kentucky-rooted Everette on select dates. Showcasing his dynamic vocals and an ace band, he also brings the tour to Europe in August.

Written by Fleet, James McNair and Jake Mitchell, “A Lotta Women” offers a unique perspective on relationships as a touring artist.

“There’s not a lotta women that put up with this kind of life, especially with everything that entails: being gone all of the time and traveling,” Fleet shares. “I’ve got me one of those women that sticks around through it all and gives me the opportunity to pursue this dream. And that’s true for a lot of us workin’ folks.”

A lotta women woulda washed their hands of a man like me
Changed the locks
Pawned the rock
I’d be forgotten but not forgiven

“It’s a different side of me,” Fleet continues. “It’s a little more rock with a cool vibe to it and I dig what our producer Trent Willman did to this arrangement. Hope y’all enjoy.”

The release follows Fleet’s “Hard Work & Holy Water,” which reflects Fleet's background in pouring concrete by day and playing in local bars by night, encapsulating the work ethic that’s helped the troubadour transition into the independent artist he is today.

As Billboard observes, “with a style that delves into blues, rock and retro-country with ease,” Fleet’s years of hard work are paying off.

Whether writing about his days working construction (“Earned It” and “Working Man”) or balancing his life present-day (“Things I Take For Granted” and “Muddy Water”), you leave Fleet’s 20-plus song headlining sets with a deeper sense of gratitude and optimism he’s proud to impart.

ABOUT LARRY FLEET
Tennessee-born troubadour Larry Fleet grew up on a stack of records spanning Merle Haggard, Otis Redding, Willie Nelson, and Marvin Gaye. A thoughtful songwriter with a knack for a one-liner, an ear for a sturdy hook, and a powerhouse voice that strikes like a match, Fleet was working blue-collar jobs to make ends meet long before landing his recording contract with Big Loud Records. Seven years later and again working as an independent artist, the devout family man is turning heads among fans and critics as a songwriter (“Man Made A Bar” recorded by Morgan Wallen featuring Eric Church) alongside his own music, 2021's tribute to the music that raised him, Stack of Records, his aptly titled 2019 debut, Workin' Hard, 2023’s Earned It, featuring the single “Things I Take For Granted,” and his first latest, 2025’s independently-released “Hard Work & Holy Water.” Saving Country Music puts it simply: “If you're looking for the future of traditional country music, then look no further.”
