ABOUT THORNHILL
Eternal purveyors of artful and engaging heavy creations, Thornhill possess a flair for nuanced rock beyond their influences. Via their ARIA Award-nominated 2022 album Heroine, Thornhill solidified a steadfast reputation as one of the most innovative and immersive heavy acts in the Australian scene, with Heroine debuting at #3 on the ARIA Albums charts, and at #1 on the Australian Albums charts.
Thornhill have amassed a heaving array of accolades over the years, including triple j's Feature Album and additions to countless Best Of The Year listings for their 2019 release The Dark Pool. And in 2023 and 2024, the band gifted some insatiable new material courtesy of standalone singles "Viper Room" and "Obsession", as well as a live album, Live On Tour!, boasting performances captured in the wild across the globe that released in June.
Thornhill kicked off 2024 supporting Silent Planet on extensive North American run, before joining Aussie heavies Polaris on tour in the UK and Europe, appearing at Impericon Festival alongside As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red and While She Sleeps, and touring North America supporting Northlane. Thornhill joined Fear Factory, Thy Art Is Murder, Hands Like Houses and many more performing at last year's Froth & Fury Fest in Adelaide, ending the year with a huge headlining a huge run across the UK and Europe.
The band have released three previous singles from their new album BODIES - "TONGUES" which featured swirling melodies, gut-punching heaviness, and deeply evocative lyricism, “Silver Swarm” which explored the chaotic manipulation and push-pull of toxic relationships, while “nerv.” fused haunting electronics with nu-metal fury, earning the band widespread acclaim, a Spotify cover feature on The Core playlist, and adds to Kickass Metal and All New Metal playlists. Together, the singles have racked up 5 million Spotify streams and 642,000 YouTube views.

With ‘BODIES,’ we’ve embraced a more immediate, unfiltered approach that feels like a lightning bolt, looking to capture the energy of ‘Thornhill right now.’
The album thrives on spontaneity and freedom, foregoing rigid concepts in favour of pure, in-your-face authenticity. It’s less about delivering a carefully constructed narrative and more about creating a visceral, open-ended experience. ‘BODIES’ serves as a sonic moodboard—a collection of feelings and vibes—intentionally left open to interpretation.
