'Celestial Death' was recorded by Olaf Skoreng at Tom Meier and Studio Moon Musicbetween April and August 2024, mixed by Fredrik Folkare at Chrome Studios (Unleashed, Necrophobic, Hellbutcher) in Sweden and finally mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Studios (Arch Enemy, Borknagar, Amorphis) in Sweden too. The album is the follow-up to CRYPTOSIS’ acclaimed 'Bionic Swarm' debut album (2021) and the EP 'The Silent Call'(2023), it once more comes with artwork by Eliran Kantor (Kreator, Testament, My Dying Bride) and also showcases the group on a darker, heavier, more melodic and extremely cinematic journey across its 11 tracks / 42 minutes of playing time.

South East England trio TROPIC GOLD have released their new EP, SICK TO DEATH OF EVERYHING, via UNFD.

"'THE ANGELS ARE GONE' plays on as a lyric response to the question from the end of the introduction track opening the EP, that being 'How do you feel?,'" the band says. "The track's intention was to feel like a downward spiral when your head is just wrecked and in all the wrong places, with the chorus stating 'I need a reason to stay, 'cos the angels are gone.'"

Regarding the deeply personal EP, Tropic Gold siphoned every bit of emotion the members have experienced in recent times and parlayed it into these songs, saying, "SICK TO DEATH OF EVERYTHING had everything poured into it over some really difficult times — the name sums up what was, and has been, going through our heads. It's our most honest and vulnerable body of work, and hope that people hear it and connect so they understand they aren't alone with day-to-day instability of mental health, life uncertainty, and self-loathing."

The band shares the backstory about “DINY”: 

"I drove fast. Faster than I should have really. The night pressed in on me, cold and endless, the road disappearing into the blackness ahead. The air outside was freezing, but it couldn’t match the cold that had settled inside me. My thoughts circled around her, over and over. Every streetlight I passed threw her silhouette onto the road, and for a moment, I thought I saw her standing there, waiting for me. My foot pressed harder on the gas, wondering what it would feel like to just keep going— to let everything go. The emptiness inside was worse than the road ahead, and I wasn’t sure if I was trying to outrun it or dive straight into it. She was gone, but not gone enough. And no matter how fast I went, I knew I’d never escape her."

"Looking at it on a larger scale, I believe that humanity has lost its connection with nature, the planet, and even itself. We relentlessly exploit every last resource, driven by profit and greed. We'll likely figure out how to launch ourselves into space, discover another planet to inhabit, and start the cycle all over again.”

"'Aesthetic of Serpents' was one of the first songs we wrote for the album and it's a song with all the elements of music we love with the heaviness and melodies we all gravitate towards," states the band. "Lyrically, it takes on a journey of a life well lived, all the scars and beauty that have lead up to today..."

The Boston-by-way-of-Anchorage quartet cements an uncanny union between aforementioned vocal powerhouse Brock Lindow (36 Crazyfists), solo artist and guitarist Tyler Stroetzel, guitarist Jon Kita (Diecast), bassist Brad Horion(Diecast), and drummer Ryan Manning (Pentagram, Blitzkid). 
 
Mutual admiration and respect sparked the initial flame for Paradise Slaves, yet their newly forged friendship lit up their chemistry as brightly as a pyre. That same energy surges through their full-length debut album.
 
As the story goes, Killswitch Engage guitarist Joel Stroetzel shot a text over to Lindow mid-pandemic. As it turned out, his younger brother Tyler was putting together a solo album, Dark Verses, Vol. 1, and wanted Lindow to sing on a track. Right away, the duo hit it off as collaborators and buddies. 
 
Following the first song, they continued to write and record. Given his longstanding friendship with Brock, Kita naturally fit in and joined the fold followed by Horion and Manning. Jamming away, they nodded to formative inspirations such as Soundgarden and Alice In Chains twisted up with just the right amount of hardcore grit and heavy metal eloquence. In between, they performed alongside the likes of Killswitch Engage, Fit For An Autopsy, and more. Eventually, the group congregated at Tin Bridge Studios in Massachusetts in order to record.

"This band is something I didn't expect," admits Lindow. "After it fell in my lap, I was making new music with new people and we became brothers, and for that, I'm so grateful. When you get a gift like this, you need to put your best foot forward and have some fire. I definitely still have the same fire and love for making music as I always had and it manifests in Paradise Slaves."

Judicator Unveils Second Glimpse of their Forthcoming 7th Studio Album 'Concord' ​

American Power Metallers Judicator have unveiled a second glimpse of their forthcoming 7th studio album Concord, in the form of the single “A Miracle of Life.” 

“This song is about the quiet trade-offs we make in the name of safety and comfort – until we wake up one day wondering where our freedom went,” says Judicator vocalist John Yelland. “It’s a call to reclaim a spirit of defiance, to protect the things that make life unpredictable, painful, beautiful, and ultimately worth living.”

“A Miracle of Life” follows in the path of “Concord” – the album’s first single and music video, which was hailed upon its February 7 release as “representing Judicator in top form” (Music Existence) and “absolutely killer” (Power Metal Ranger).

Concord will be released worldwide on March 28, just one week prior to the band’s debut performance in Europe, at Epic Fest. “I can’t think of a more special way to celebrate our new album,” says guitarist Chad Anderson. “Performing in Europe has been a personal goal of ours since we first became musicians. Hailing from Gainesville, Florida, FELDER developed an early passion for music after watching Elvis Presley perform on The Ed Sullivan Show. By the age of 13, he had formed his first band, The Continentals, which included future rock legend Stephen Stills. FELDER refined his guitar skills through dedicated practice and even received slide guitar lessons from Duane Allman, laying the foundation for his signature style.

In 1974, FELDER joined the Eagles, helping shift their sound from country-rock to a more guitar-driven rock style. He co-wrote and performed the legendary guitar solo for “Hotel California,” one of the most celebrated songs in rock history. His contributions extended to other notable tracks, including “Victim Of Love” and “Those Shoes.”

Following the success of their latest full-length album, Dead Canary Run (2024, Noble Demon), THE VICE embarked on an exciting journey to create a series of EPs. The addition of Joel Öhman, a long-time collaborator, has transformed the band into a finely-tuned quartet, enriching their sound with fresh perspectives and innovative approaches.

The first offering from this new chapter, A Great Unrest, has this growth on full display, amplifying every inch of the foundation made of blackened metal, ambient pop and unbridled rock'n'roll. 

The five tracks - three new ones, a cover of "1 Sun" by Miley Cyrus and a rearranged version of "Welcome The Storm" from the latest album - were recorded in the fall of 2024 at Studio Underjord (Skraeckoedlan, Magna Carta Cartel, Haystack among others) in rural Sweden.

Fresh off of writing and recording a full album, this EP was the perfect way to musically break the "limitations" that can come when working to create a really unified piece of art.

And while it wasn't exactly Fantomas-levels of diverse tracks, sound engineer and owner of the studio, Joona Hassinen really pulled his 'A' game giving it a coherent sound. A Great Unrest sounds a bit lighter, yet more harsh than Dead Canary Run with an electrified, distorted tension running throughout.

Wolves at the Gate Announce New Album "Wasteland" + Share "Parasite" Video

Wolves at the Gate are back with a brand new album. They will release Wasteland on May 30 via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here.

The song is masterful mix of synths, screams, and stompy breakdowns, so basically everything you want in a metalcore song!

"Throughout the whole album, we are exploring different concepts through the lens of a broader narrative and story," says vocalist/guitarist Steve Cobucci. "With 'Parasite,' we wanted to write a song that explores the relationship between a parasite and its host. It's such a powerful metaphor for the way that we all relate with our own weaknesses, tendencies, and sin."

He continues, "There's a sense in which we hate the way that we continue to go back down the same dark paths, but we only walk those paths because there is something we want and something that we are getting out of it. We can say that we hate it as much as we want, but there is something enticing about it. It is a song essentially about the insanity of sin. The very thing that we crave is the very thing that hates us and wants to kill us. Chasing after sin is a bottomless pit. Always promising but never satisfying."
 
He finishes, "The chorus line captures that idea saying, 'And I died a million deaths to live.' That's the picture that I see of my own sinfulness. I chose to dive into things that I knew would result in a million deaths thinking that it would give me life and regardless of how many times I saw how shallow and empty it was, I still chased after it. This song is a lament of a reality that I know all too well. And so I wanted to write a song that would shine a bright light on it for me to remember that sin is an empty promise that leaves you hollow in the end. The same way a parasite feeds on you until you have no life left to give."

Wolves At The Gate have quietly and naturally evolved since their emergence out of the Midwest in 2008. Their vision unfolded across albums such as Captors [2012], VxV [2014], Types & Shadows [2016], Eclipse [2019], and Eulogies [2022]. Blabbermouth rated the latter "9.0-out-of-10.0," while mxdwn summed it up as "powerfully moving." Along the way, the group tallied tens of millions of streams fueled by the likes of "Counterfeit," "Deadman," "Lowborn," "Peace That Starts The War," and more. Not to mention, they've performed alongside everyone from The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Red to Fit For A King, August Burns Red, and Born Of Osiris. In 2024, a core idea screamed out to guitarist Steve Cobucci, shaping the creative direction of the band's next evolution. "As I was working on the album and especially the lyrics, I began to realize that the Wasteland was a metaphor for a frame of mind that I don't want to live in, but a world I feel myself drawn back into over and over again," Cobucci reveals. The musicians carefully pieced together what would become Wasteland. Cobucci co-produced the 13-track body of work with Josh Gilbert of Spiritbox, while the band recorded in New Jersey, San Diego, and Los Angeles. This time around, they added multiple dimensions to their signature sound, layering intriguing interludes and electronic overtures into the framework.

Chase Rice Shares "Live From Chief's" EP: Eric Church & George Strait Covers Plus Unreleased Original "Cowboy Goodbye"

Country music maverick Chase Rice has surprised fans with today's release of a special three-song EP, Live From Chief's. Captured during his recent acoustic underplay shows at Chief's on Broadway on Feb. 13 and 14 – which American Songwriter cited as emblematic of the fact that "Chase Rice didn't change, he just got brave enough to be himself" – the project highlights Rice's raw, unfiltered artistry in a way that fans rarely get to experience at his larger arena shows. The project opens with two standout covers: fellow Asheville-area native Eric Church’s “Carolina,” one of the first songs Rice was inspired to learn to play on guitar during his college years at UNC, and George Strait’s iconic rodeo hit “I Can Still Make Cheyenne,” which itself inspired the EP’s third song.

Ian Munsick’s Full Circle Headlining Cheyenne Frontier Days Set, July 18, 2025

Wyoming native Ian Munsick crossed off a bucket list venue when he sold-out his Red Rocks Amphitheatre debut last June, but for the singer hailing from the Rocky Mountain region, his sights were already set on making his next dream a reality: headlining Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) in his home state. 
 
After a group of fans started a Facebook page petitioning for Munsick to headline CFD in response to his Red Rocks show, the page caught the eye of Wyoming paper Cowboy State Daily, who published a story sharing the fans’ pleas. The promoters are now yielding to the demand, setting Munsick as a headliner for this year’s CFD on July 18, 2025. Tickets go on-sale Thursday, March 13 at 9 a.m. MT at CFDRodeo.com.
 
“The zenith of my musical ambition has always been to headline Cheyenne Frontier Days. No event symbolizes Wyoming or the west better than the Daddy of Em All,” remarks Munsick. “That’s where my music belongs because that’s where my inspiration comes from. The great honor of being the first Wyoming native to headline CFD is most definitely the highlight of my touring career and quite possibly my musical career as a whole… truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Munsick’s CFD headlining set will follow the April 18 release of his upcoming third studio album, Eagle Feather. Eagle Feather expands on the concepts of the land, people, culture and stories that inspire him, as depicted in his 2023 release, White Buffalo. While the white buffalo represents prosperity and rebirth, the eagle feather is inspired by the native symbol representing honor, strength and wisdom, and serves as a continuation of his sophomore project by highlighting Munsick’s personal growth through life experiences and lessons learned that have shaped him into who he is. 
 
Produced by Munsick, Jared Conrad and Jeremy Spillman, Eagle Feather includes duets with Lainey Wilson and Flatland Cavalry lead singer Cleto Cordero, with songwriter credits by fellow singer/songwriters Caitlyn Smith and Stephen Wilson Jr. as well as two rare outside cuts in “Drink Around” and “Horses Not Hearts.” 
 
Munsick is currently headlining his spring 2025 Horses Are Faster Tour featuring a rotating lineup of support including Colby Acuff, Avery Anna, Chayce Beckham, Bayker Blankenship, Kashus Culpepper, Hudson Westbrook and Jake Worthington. Metalcore/Hard Rock Band Magg Dylan Release New Single "Back Through the Door"

Magg Dylan, the powerful metalcore and hard rock band, have released their new single, "Back Through the Door," along with its official music video. This track is a preview of the band’s forthcoming album People Pleaser, set to release on July 3, 2025.

"Back Through the Door" explores the raw emotional journey of waiting for someone to return after they’ve hit rock bottom, only to realize it’s time to let go. The band states, "'Back Through the Door' is about letting someone hit bottom. It encapsulates the crippling feelings of waiting and hoping for someone to return, but ultimately, they're gone. As the release of ELUVEITIE’s new album ÀNV approaches the band release today their uplifting new single 'Awen'. The track sees the bands more traditional instrumentation at the forefront, shining a spot light on the Celtic roots buried within ELUVEITIE’s core.
The new album Ànv, will be released on April 25th, 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records. After the headliner tour was a great success, ELUVEITIE returns to the stage in October 2025, together with ARCH ENEMY, AMORPHIS and GATECREEPER. All dates are listed below.
