Imminence Share Video For New Single "Death Shall Have No Dominion" — WATCH // U.S. Tour In March!

With the remarkable global success of the latest album The Black, released on April 12, Imminence have recently proven themselves to be one of the fastest growing acts in the modern alternative music scene. The astonishing results from the band's first full U.S. headline tour, resulting in a majority of sold out dates, a 100% sold out European headline tour in October this year, and the first-ever Australian headline shows completely sold out, mark the end of an outstanding 2024 for Imminence.

Even after the busiest year in the band's career, Imminence show no signs of slowing down.

2025 starts with the merciless release of the heaviest and most extreme track ever been composed by this Swedish armada.

If the last album was a journey through the deepest realms of The Black itself, the new single "Death Shall Have No Dominion" takes us right down to the bottom of the unforgiving, vicious, and ferocious void that is The Black. Seamlessly combining the unmistakable trademark string arrangements and lead violin melodies, performed by singer Eddie Berg, with an instrumental foundation that pays tribute to Scandinavian death and black metal, Imminence delivers a perfectly unique sound that the fans have chosen to name "violincore."

Watch the video below:

"Just when you might have thought that you knew what to expect, we turn around and give you a new single. And not any kind of single. I honestly don't think there has ever been a more extreme track coming from this band. We want to show you that The Black goes deeper and darker than you could ever imagine, and we intend to take you there with us," says guitarist Harald Barrett.

Imminence recently celebrated the 10-year anniversary of their debut album I, with a re-release featuring newly recorded vocals and new mix and master. The Reclamation of I has been nothing short of success and with a million total combined online followers, 400,000,000 streams, and sold-out shows all over the world, Imminence highlight the journey taken over the past decade by the announcement of their first European arena headline shows. The brand new show concept "The Black Finale" will present the band like never before and take place in five carefully selected cities in December 2025. Directly following the release of "Death Shall Have No Dominion" comes "The Black Tour: Scandinavia 2025," followed by "The Return of The Black Tour: North America 2025," both tours with already high demand on tickets in all territories.

Daniel Arison Drops Soul-Stirring Single "Selfish," the Heartbeat of His Upcoming Album

Singer, songwriter, and producer, Daniel Arison, has released his highly anticipated single, "Selfish," today. This deeply personal track marks a pivotal moment in his creative journey, as it was the first song

written for his upcoming album and became the thematic foundation for the entire project.

Daniel recalled the pivotal moment that inspired the song during a recent studio session with his producer, Larzz. "I walked into the session and knew exactly what I wanted to write," Daniel explained. "I told Larzz the story behind the title: one day, I had a huge blowout with one of my friends. He came to me and yelled at me for an hour and a half, accusing me of being self-involved—never calling, never asking how he was, never making the effort. In the moment, I felt really defensive and denied everything he said. But a few days later, I sat with myself and thought, ‘Maybe you’re right. Maybe I am selfish.’”

This moment of self-awareness became a turning point not only in Daniel's personal life but also in his creative process. He channeled the complex emotions of defensiveness, sadness, and eventual acceptance into the song. "It was a weird moment of realization and acceptance of who I was in that moment—a human being capable of making mistakes," Daniel shared. "The friendship wasn’t the same after that, but writing 'Selfish' felt like a huge relief. It was like saying out loud what I had been afraid to admit, and that honesty became the core of the album’s direction."

"Selfish" invites listeners to reflect on their own imperfections while finding solace in the humanity of those flaws. With its intimate lyrics and evocative production, the song sets the stage for a body of work that delves into vulnerability, transformation, and emotional complexity. Now available on all major streaming platforms, "Selfish" gives fans an intimate glimpse into the soul of Daniel Arison as he gears up for his album release.

ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF MANDOKI SOULMATES WITH A MEMORY OF OUR FUTURE

Continuing the international success of the Mandoki Soulmates’ latest album, A Memory Of Our Future, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Vice President Jason Hanley invited Leslie Mandoki to the Rock Hall to celebrate “30 Years Of Soulmates” in the motherland of rock music. “We are thrilled to welcome Leslie Mandoki to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to commemorate 30 years of Mandoki Soulmates and their latest album, A Memory of Our Future,” Hanley said, and honored Mandoki's oft-quoted maxim that “music is the greatest unifier," especially in this "labyrinth of crises where the compass has seemingly been lost."

This Thursday evening in the Theater of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland became one of those memorable magical moments: During an evening of stories, film and music, the audience was treated to a look behind the scenes in the new film Mandoki Soulmates Inside Sound, shown here for the first time. The legendary musicians in the Soulmates are seen recording in the studio and playing live on stage; we see what backstage life is like and learn about the nearly-lost art of creating an entire album using a completely analog process, from first note to final vinyl LP. The film was followed by a Q&A with Leslie Mandoki, a devotee and master of analogue recordings, which he views as a way to honor his fans, saying he insists on their quality to send “a handwritten love letter to our audience—not a text message.” In addition, many fascinating stories about playing with the Soulmates over 30 years were recounted, including tales of band and Rock Hall members Chaka Khan, and the late Jack Bruce and Jon Lord.

Mandoki expressed his very personal gratitude to the Rock Hall and the audience: “What an honor be here in the legendary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and to present our new album A Memory Of Our Future here. My father was right when he told me on his deathbed ‘Don't dream your life, live your dream.’ I was 15 years old, and that became my life’s motto.”

Leslie Mandoki's own story begins with his escape from behind the Iron Curtain to pursue freedom of musical expression, which eventually led to his work as a producer for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees including Phil Collins, Chaka Khan, and Lionel Richie, as well as working in key roles with icons of rock music such as Eric Burdon, Jon Lord, Robin Gibb, and Peter Frampton, as well as Jennifer Rush und Bonnie Tyler, and ultimately to the founding of the Mandoki Soulmates band. This virtuosic meeting of musical minds has been rightly called a “band of bandleaders,” and Leslie has become known as the “Hungarian Quincy Jones,” dubbed thusly by Steve Lukather and Al Di Meola. Younger Soulmate, bassist Richard Bona, explains: “Leslie and Quincy have the same kind of essence to pull out forces and put them together to get to this result. So, it’s a wonderful gift he’s got.” The late, great Jack Bruce compared this ability to unite different characters in the band, both humanly and musically, with Duke Ellington.

In 1992, Ian Anderson, Jack Bruce and Al Di Meola became founding members of what, until then, was Leslie Mandoki's project band, Mandoki Soulmates. Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) describes Leslie as the “master chef in the kitchen, mixing all these exotic spices and mystical musical influences together. He is a great musician and it’s very rare that you get good musicians and good record producers in one person. He is the mastermind, we just turn up for work.” Over the years, Leslie has continued to bring new musicians into the fold, and the Soulmates have developed into a unique supergroup with 13 albums, several live DVDs, Blu-rays, and countless concerts worldwide. The result of all this was once summed up by Greg Lake (Emerson, Lake & Palmer) who simply described the Soulmates as “one of the best bands you will ever hear.”

Mandoki's vision for the Soulmates band is to bring progressive jazz-rock back to sociopolitical relevance. For him, music has always been an expression of freedom. With intellectual, poetic lyrics, the band takes a stand on sociopolitical change. Even after more than 30 years, the Mandoki Soulmates prove that they are one of the most creative and committed bands of our time. A Memory Of Our Future impresses not only with its musical brilliance, but also with its profound messages that encourage and unite us in a challenging world. As Supertramp saxophonist and Mandoki Soulmates member John Helliwell tells it, Leslie is “a bona fide rock star who travels in the circles of presidents and prime ministers—Mikhail Gorbachev called Leslie ‘my old friend’ and told him that rock and roll was instrumental in tearing down what Churchill called the Iron Curtain. Leslie’s whole story, which he tells through his music, is about escaping oppression and standing up for freedom – and for this he was honored by Henry Kissinger“.

Mandoki explains: “In these trying times, when the bridge-builders in our society are missing or ineffective, we artists have a responsibility to respectfully, and with humility, give something back to the audience – for their decades of love, and for carrying us in their hands forward to this day.”

“Especially in New York, where I've recently spent much time, A Memory Of Our Future is getting traction with American media as one of the ‘most important albums of the year.’ At the Times Square billboard in New York City, our album cover beamed at me with the caption ‘Modern Day Masterpiece.’ The black swan cover image is an eye-catcher, and is prominently displayed in the trendy record stores in New York and London—and it literally shone like a light at the end of the tunnel for my Soulmate John Helliwell and me from the LED wall in London’s Waterloo Station. The euphoric reviews, especially from America, really touch me: I fled to the West through the Iron Curtain as a young musician almost 50 years ago, so this is a realization of a dream. As a teenager in the East, I was immensely proud of my seventh-generation tape copy of a copy of a copy (etc.) of a Jethro Tull album that I played (in mono) on my “Tesla” brand tape recorder. I dreamed that one day my own records would be presented in the legendary HMV flagship record store on London’s Oxford Street.” Soulmates founding member Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull says, looking back on Leslie Mandoki’s story, “Leslie often thinks of himself as a ‘refugee,’ escaping from something disagreeable and leaving the past behind. But I prefer to think of Leslie as one who arrives in a new place, with new resolve, new commitment, new optimism.”

As is customary at events like this at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, after the main event, Mandoki met the enthusiastic audience members, talking with them and signing CDs, LPs, and the 30 Years of Mandoki Soulmates Tour Book until late in the evening.

THE VICE Announce New EP "A Great Unrest" and Unleash Gloomy Video for First Single and Title Track!

Swedish dark metal act THE VICE has announced the release of the band's upcoming five track EP A Great Unrest, set to be released on March 7 via Noble Demon

Following the success of their latest full-length album, Dead Canary Run (2024, Noble Demon), THE VICE embarked on an exciting journey to create a series of EPs. The addition of Joel Öhman, a long-time collaborator, has transformed the band into a finely-tuned quartet, enriching their sound with fresh perspectives and innovative approaches.

The first offering from this new chapter, A Great Unrest,  has this growth on full display, amplifying every inch of the foundation made of blackened metal, ambient pop and unbridled rock n roll.

The five tracks - three new ones, a cover of "1 Sun" by Miley Cyrus and a rearranged version of "Welcome The Storm" from the latest album - were recorded in the fall of 2024 at Studio Underjord (Skraeckoedlan, Magna Carta Cartel, Haystack among others) in rural Sweden.

Fresh off of writing and recording a full album, this EP was the perfect way to musically break the "limitations" that can come when working to create a really unified piece of art.

And while it wasn't exactly Fantomas-levels of diverse tracks, sound engineer and owner of the studio, Joona Hassinen really pulled his 'A' game giving it a coherent sound. "A Great Unrest" sounds a bit lighter, yet more harsh than "Dead Canary Run" with an electrified, distorted tension running throughout.

In support of the upcoming release, THE VICE have unleashed the first single and title track of the EP. The song is accompanied by a new & gloomy music video, which you can watch below.

Listen to "A Great Unrest" HERE

Guitarist Rickard about the track: "To me, 'A Great Unrest' is everything that The Vice is all about, boiled down to its purest form. One sinister fucking riff, a couple of choruses trembling with fierceness, passion and rebellion, and a final act to release all that built up tension in a beautiful, yet most ominous way. All in under three and a half minute, really think we obliterated every head of every nail with this one."

Regarding the EP's themes, the band adds:
"Thematically there wasn't any other ideas, thoughts, than usual when entering the studio. The Vice is, has always been, and will forever be about unrest, rebellion, those mixed feelings of unease and ecstacy when balancing on the last inches of the edge, about to plunge into the void. Some songs here and there have more specific themes, but in general it's reflections and ideas about this existence from a quite calm, gathered perspective though always prepared, anticipating the moment when the tension breaks and the unknown madness begins. Somewhere along the way the visual representations like the cover art, music video, title etc all started to lean towards some kind of cold war aesthetics. This was absolutely not intentional, never discussed and nothing we'd naturally turn to. Sure some things led to the other, but at least some of it feels like the music just had an inherent vibe of that, cold, metallic, bleak, post-war vibe."

"A Great Unrest " will be coming out on March 7 via Noble Demon and is now available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION

The Vice are:
Rickard - Vocals & Guitars
Charlie - Bass
Petter - Drums

Queer Latin Country Artist Angie K Releases New Self-Titled EP

2024 was a break out year for El Salvador-born, rising country singer/songwriter Angie K which found the powerhouse vocalist making her Grand Ole Opry debut and premiering her video for “Golden” in Times Square via CMT. Showing no signs of slowing down, she is kicking 2025 off with the release of a personal and reflective self-titled EP available today. Named a 2025 Artist to Watch by both Consequence and the Nashville Scene, Angie K is a co-writer on all six tracks of the independent release called, “fiery and fierce,” by Entertainment Focus. Produced by acclaimed writer/producer and BMI Songwriter of the Year, Stephony Smith, listen to Angie K HERE

“This is definitely one of the toughest projects I’ve ever made,” shared Angie K. “Not so much in the studio with the band but writing these songs and deciding on what made the cut. Purposely choosing the most vulnerable ones…that took a lot of emotional work.”

She continues, “Putting something so personal out requires letting go of the way people might react to it, as an artist that’s hard to do. ‘Red Dirt’ and ‘Death of Me’ are songs about deep grief. While ‘Games’ and ‘I’m Going Under’ have repressed anger and frustration coursing through them. ‘Stay’ and ‘Golden’ are both about me finding my way out of those darker feelings. This EP is a snapshot of my life when I wrote these songs. I’m so proud of it and excited for folks to go on this emotional journey.”

The release of the EP comes on the heels of a major personal life moment for the out, country artist as well, her engagement to longtime love, Marissa Boucher. Angie shared the news exclusively yesterday with Us Weekly, “When I pulled out the ring and she saw it, I knew she was going to say yes. We both cried, it was the best moment of my life. Then she ran and got her bag and pulled out a ring too! It was an unreal moment. Then as if the night couldn’t get better, as we walked back to the restaurant, a violin player started playing some of our favorite songs — all pure chance. It really was the most perfect way to end the night.”

A 2024 CMT LISTEN UP artist, Angie K was born and raised in El Salvador until age 11 before moving to Georgia, with her love for country music was nurtured from a young age. Her mother’s dedication, saving up to bring her to Nashville to the Grand Ole Opry, came full circle with her making her Opry debut last Aug., fulfilling a lifelong dream. The Holler “Artist You Need to Know” is set to return to the Opry stage on Feb. 15 to celebrate the new EP.

American Songwriter was on hand for her emotional Opry debut sharing, “Her voice rang strong and clear through the Grand Ole Opry House, compelling fans to raise their phones on the last song and fill the darkened theater with light—a moving display of acceptance and adoration for a woman who has dreamed of standing in the hallowed circle since before her feet touched North American soil.”

The EP release follows a recent collaboration with Jimencio for the Tejano and country music infused “Yo Quiero Todo.” Co-penned by Jimencio and Angie K, it is the first collaboration between the Nashville artists, with the duo lauding an unconditional love that withstands all circumstances. Listen to “Yo Quiero Todo” HERE

The queer country artist first made her mark on Music City with bilingual track, “Real Talk,” catapulting her onto the country scene as a “Highway Find” on SiriusXM’s The Highway. The EP features two unreleased tracks “Games” and “I’m Going Under as well as recent releases “Stay,” “Death of Me” and “Red Dirt on Mars,” which left Billboard praising her “disarming vulnerability.”

A member of the 2023 CMT Next Women of Country class, Angie worked on the EP with legendary writer/producer Smith, who penned the smash hit “It’s Your Love” for Tim McGraw/Faith Hill and has received cuts from some of music’s biggest stars including The Chicks, Shania Twain, Barbara Streisand, Kenny Chesney, Terri Clark, Reba McEntire and more. She explained the influence Smith had on her when it came to releasing “Death of Me” in a “Holler Nashville Session” sharing, “It's a very vulnerable song, and I almost didn't put in on the record, but I'm glad I did - just because of the stories I've heard of people relating to it.”

As an out and independent artist, she has accumulated over 20 million+ streams and 500k+ followers. Angie has also shared the stage with Tanya Tucker, Trace Adkins, Melissa Etheridge and more. She took the main stage at Nashville Pride and the Reverb Stage at CMA Fest last year.

Fans can find Angie K this spring and summer performing at Tortuga Music Festival, Gulf Coast Jam and NEBRASKAland Days. For the latest stay tuned at officialangiek.com/ and follow along @officialangiek on InstagramTikTok, and Facebook.

Scotty McCreery Joined by Christian Artist, Jason Crabb for New Version of “Red Letter Blueprint”

2024 was another milestone year for Triple Tigers Recording artist Scotty McCreery. From being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry to headlining his blockbuster Fall of Summer Tour to releasing his critically acclaimed album Rise & Fallnamed one of the 30 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2024 by Rolling Stonethe singer/songwriter continued to push himself to new heights creatively.

Showing no signs of slowing down, McCreery is starting 2025 with a moment of reflection releasing an updated version of his country and gospel blending “Red Letter Blueprint” featuring GRAMMY and Dove Award winning Christian artist, Jason Crabb. Called “nostalgic yet fresh, with faith references that candidly reflect the singer's real-life core beliefs” by Taste of Country upon release last year, listen to the new version of “Red Letter Blueprint” HERE.

The pair are set to give their first live performance of the song on the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday, Feb. 11. This will also be McCreery’s first performance on the stage during the Opry100 year-long celebration. Visit Opry.com to purchase tickets.

“Jason’s voice is just out of this world powerful,” McCreery shares. “When he sings, you can feel the emotion in every note and the belief in every word. I’m a fan, and it’s an honor to have him sing this song with me.”

“I’m so excited to be joining my friend Scotty on such an incredible song as ‘Red Letter Blueprint,’” said Crabb. “His talent is beyond compare, and he’s one of the greatest guys I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. It’s an honor to be singing alongside him, and I can’t wait to play this song live for everyone next week on the Grand Ole Opry stage!”

McCreery’s lead guitarist Spence Peppard, who used to play in Crabb’s band, connected the two singers for the collaboration. A road-family-affair of sorts, Peppard co-produced the new track along with McCreery’s bass player Nathan Thomas and long-time McCreery producer Frank Rogers.

Written by McCreery, Derek George, Brent Anderson, Jeremy Bussey, and Monty Criswell, “Red Letter Blueprint” is a comforting ballad of faith and inner strength. Both patient and gentle, yet solid and strong, McCreery leans on the plans that never fail. Building from a tender piano melody and the crooner’s convicted yet empathetic vocal, the track implores the listener to take solace in the belief that no matter how far away true peace seems, the path to get there is clearly marked.

Rise & Fall, which features the original version of “Red Letter Blueprint,” is McCreery’s most critically acclaimed album to date, with Billboard naming it one of the 50 Best Albums of 2024 (So Far). The album’s first single, “Cab in a Solo,” became his sixth No. 1 hit. Listen to the album Rolling Stone says is “every bit as legit as Jamey Johnson’s That Lonesome Song, Garth Brooks’ In Pieces, or Randy Travis’ Storms of Life,” HERE.

“Across the 13-track collection, McCreery exhibits his continued growth as a vocalist and songwriter,” notes HollerPeople echoes the sentiment, writing that the album “brims with a newfound confidence and maturity,” while Country Now calls it “his best record yet,” and American Songwriter declares it a “career album” as Rise & Fall finds him exploring not only heartbreak but rowdy nights, nostalgia, faith, newfound joy, fatherhood and enduring love, resulting in a project full of insightful storytelling. The album was produced by McCreery’s longtime production team of Frank Rogers, Derek Wells and Aaron Eshuis.

McCreery co-wrote 12 of the 13 songs on the album, which Billboard observes, “Light-hearted fare such as ‘Stuck Behind a Tractor’ and ‘And Countin’’ mesh with heartbreak brushoffs such as ‘Lonely,’ the bluegrass-inflected album-closer ‘Porch’ and the faith-filled ‘Red Letter Blueprint.’” It is available digitally as well as on CD and vinyl. Order autographed vinyl and CDs of Rise & Fall HERE.

McCreery will join Kane Brown for his The High Road Tour as direct support on March 27 (including Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on April 11), with tickets on sale now at Ticketmaster. Brown recently released his track “Says I Can (The High Road Tour Version)” featuring his tourmates McCreery, Mitchell Tenpenny, Ashley Cooke, and Dasha to streaming outlets.

The North Carolina native will also perform at this year’s Stagecoach Festival on April 27. Tickets are on sale at StagecoachFestival.com

He was awarded Pandora Billionaire status in 2021 in recognition of his music achieving more than one billion streams on Pandora. He released his first book Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream in 2016. Last year McCreery was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. Swedish Punk Rock Supergroup MIDLIFE CRISIS Shares New Album '45 Turns 33'

MIDLIFE CRISIS, the Swedish "Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young of Punk Rock", are excited to release their latest album '45 Turns 33' via Sound Pollution.

It all started in 2004 as bassist Urrke T's "solo project". He and three of his friends met in the studio and recorded some of his personal Punk Rock favorites.

On the first EP, the band even called themselves Urrke T & the Midlife Crisis. An eclectic bunch, gathered from bands like not only Maryslim, but also Backyard Babies, The Hellacopters, Crimson Shadows, etc., with the only goal in mind being to play some old school Punk Rock and have some real fun.

So, they went into the studio, and soon after, their debut EP was released on the small label Bootleg Booze Records where success was inevitable. Over the next 14 years, they recorded and released three more vinyl EPs on BB Records. The second EP still featured exclusively well-chosen covers of old '70s bands from England, Sweden, and the USA. By the third and fourth EPs, a few of Urrke's original works were included, as well as a Swedish translation of the U.K. Subs classic "The Same Thing" ("Samma sak").

Fast forward to 2024, and Urrke and Dregen are meeting with Wild Kingdom Records at the headquarters in Stockholm. During the meeting, they agreed on a deal to release everything MIDLIFE CRISIS had recorded between 2004 and 2018 on an excellent compilation album—on CD, vinyl, and digital platforms.

Dregen suggested the clever title '45 turns 33', and here we are, with the whole package ready to launch today.

The MIDLIFE CRISIS has never been more palpable or relevant than it is now!

Gemini Syndrome Releases Powerful New Single “Suffer in Silence” – A Bold Anthem for Overcoming Struggle Within

GEMINI SYNDROME

Origin: From Nothingness to Everything The Prequel to the LUX Trilogy

Before the LUX trilogy, there was nothing. Now, Gemini Syndrome unveils the origin story—

Origin: From Nothingness to Everything—a prequel that explores the space where

transformation begins. More than just an album, it is a ritual, a sonic initiation into the unknown.

While the full experience will arrive later this year, the band is releasing one single at a time,

allowing each piece of the puzzle to be absorbed before the full revelation.

Produced by Matt Good, this album is an alchemical process—raw, unfiltered, and designed to transmute chaos into clarity, destruction into rebirth. It is both their heaviest and most beautiful work to date, unconcerned with expectation and dedicated solely to truth.

“This album is about the space before everything,”says drummer

-Brian Steele Medina.

“It’s the chaos, the void—where transformation begins. We stopped worrying about what people expected and just made something real, a ritual of transmutation that we want to take our listeners through, step by step. We’re releasing this album one song one at a time because each piece is part of a bigger picture, and we want each one to have a chance to breathe. It’s a journey,” adds guitarist

-Meegs Rascón.

Vocalist Aaron Nordstrom continues, “This album is a departure from the norm. We didn’t want to just be loud for the sake of it; we wanted to be true. This is us, unapologetically.”

Brian Steele Medina concludes, “That’s why we’re giving ‘ORIGIN’ to the world in pieces,

because each song is part of the story we’re telling—a story of authenticity, chaos, and rebirth. Each one is a piece of the puzzle.”

The album’s sound is forged by the unique contributions of each band member. Meegs Rascón delivers dark, atmospheric guitar work, blending heavy riffs with brooding melodies that push the music’s intensity. AP Paveri’s intricate basslines provide a deep, pulsing foundation, amplifying the album’s relentless energy. Brian Steele Medina commands the rhythm section with thunderous drumming—dynamic, primal, and explosive. At the forefront, Aaron Nordstrom’svocals shift between haunting vulnerability and searing power, carving a direct emotional connection with the listener. Together, these four forces create a sonic landscape that is both primal and transcendent—a fusion of aggression, introspection, and raw authenticity.

With Origin: From Nothingness to Everything, Gemini Syndrome extends an invitation— step into the unknown, embrace the process, and undergo the initiation. Each song serves as a catalyst for personal alchemy, revealing deeper truths along the way.

Doobie Drops New Single "Worth A Shot"

Columbus native DOOBIE has quickly become one of the most prominent independent artists in the underground hip-hop scene, earning the reputation of "hip-hop's Kurt Cobain." His breakout single "When the Drugs Don't Work" surpassed 115 million views on YouTube and has earned a platinum certification, marking a major milestone for the independent artist. Doobie's rise has been steadfastly built from the ground up. His music has always been influenced by rock, drawing inspiration from bands like Alice In Chains, Nirvana, and Metallica.

In late 2024, he dropped his first proper rock single: "Early Bird Gets the Whiskey."

Now, Doobie is kicking the door to 2025 open with another rock anthem — this time it's "Worth a Shot." The song is currently added to Test Drive on SiriusXM's Octane.

Watch the lyric video below:

The track kicks off with an undulating riff and escalates to a full-on rager ... quickly. It's also home to a monster breakdown. If you're looking for ALL the hooks, you'll find 'em in "Worth a Shot." Doobie and his crew approached the song with one goal in mind — to make something badass.

Mission accomplished.

"I walked in the studio, told my producer [Andrew Baylis] and co-writer [Conor Matthews] that I wanted to make some 'badass shit' today and that's what we did," Doobie shares about the song's origin story. "I pulled up an old drinking quote to use for a song title and we wrote, recorded and produced the whole record in about 3-4 hours."

Doobie's debut rock release is slated for 2025 and more details will be available soon.

He describes the project as some of the best music he's created, and is excited to bring his own twist to the rock genre.

Throughout his career, Doobie has stayed true to his own experiences, using his music to tell his story. His battle with addiction and life struggles have shaped his lyrics, making his songs deeply personal. Avoiding typical industry collaborations, Doobie has produced most of his music himself, keeping his work as raw and reflective as possible. With his upcoming rock release and continued momentum as an independent artist, Doobie is ready to expand his legacy. Proud of how far he’s come, he sees his success as the payoff for taking the harder path and putting in the work. As the first independent artist from his city to go platinum, Doobie's journey is just getting started.

MARKO HIETALA - New Album 'Roses From The Deep' Out Today

Renowned Finnish musician Marko Hietala, celebrated for his legendary career in metal and rock, has released his highly anticipated solo album, Roses from the Deep, today.
The multi-faceted record showcases Hietala’s exceptional songwriting and bold artistic vision, blending rich musicality with poignant lyricism.

One of the album’s standout qualities lies in its organic and authentic soundscape. Eschewing the modern trend of digital perfection, the Marko Hietala band recorded the tracks live in the studio, preserving the raw energy and groove of their performance. With no digital drum samples in sight, the album features real piano, analog synths, a Hammond organ, and the lush textures of a full-string orchestra. This "dinosaur" approach results in a deeply resonant and timeless sound that captures the heart of every note.

Lyrically, Roses from the Deep delves into a spectrum of emotions, weaving narratives that are as layered and evocative as the music itself.
To celebrate the release, Hietala has unveiled a stunning music video for the album’s title track,Roses from the Deep. The ballad’s haunting beauty is matched by the picturesque visuals of the video, further highlighting the album’s emotive depth.

Watch the video below:

Marko Hietala comments:Roses From The Deep is the second album to come under my name and I’m proud to be the main author, face, and the name for this piece of musical work. Here it is. But the band that comes under my name deserves to be included here. I have a musically versatile, open-minded, and experienced group in my bandmates and they are very much responsible for how Roses From The Deep sounds and feels like. And there’s a lot to listen to, experience, and from there on to feel also.
The video and the single of the title song
RFTD is out at the same time. The song itself is a romantic ghost story. The dead may be longing for what’s lost just as much as the living. Maybe more. Even if the lines like 'I’d come for you' might sound a bit sinister coming from a ghost.
So there it is! Thank you all for having patience and faith in your Nordic weirdo and his bunch of weirdos. Check out the album and head on to the shows, if we tickle your fancy."

CLASSIC ROCKERS THE SWEET RETURN WITH NEW SINGLE/VIDEO, "INSANE” OUT TODAY

Coming off a banner year in terms of taking their live performances to the maximum of limits, rock greats Sweet still possess exceptional chemistry, which recently brought the house down throughout venues across North America.  At the same time, the band released a new song/video, “Little Miracle,” which was received with rave reviews.  Today, Darkstar Records is releasing the bands next single release “INSANE,” which can be heard below.

Last year while cutting “Little Miracle,” the group jammed in the studio which exemplified a fresh new approach which utilized instant spontaneity in creating and producing this hard rock masterpiece “INSANE.” Bassist/producer Stevie Stewart commented, “'Insane' is a song that we are very proud of! We all poured our hearts into the creation of it. Everyone brought their 'A' game to 'Insane'!"

Drummer/composer Richie Onori also added, "As we started to blast into the high-power groove, singer Patrick Alan Stone directed the band with his hands flailing about, you could see he heard in his head which eventually took shape in the final heavy metal rendition The comic strip lyric video really illustrates the well-crafted storyline that Stone created. Guitarist Jimmy Burkard blistering solo section rivals hands down the who’s who of guitar heroes of yesteryear. Stevie Stewart’s incredible vocal arrangements and overall production in my own opinion.”

"I wanted to write a rocker that hits you in many ways," added Burkard. "It’s tough, it makes you tap your feet, it makes you sing along. Aggressive but with catchy harmony vocals, killer guitar and swinging drums. It felt good to be in a rehearsal room and write organically as a band."

“'Insane' flew into my head like a bat out of hell," said Stone. "I went into the shower without it, came out and in my head it was done. I sent Jimmy a voice memo humming the song and he sent back the sick riff on guitar the way we hear it in the recording. We shared it with the band while recording 'Little Miracle' and got so into it, Richie hammered the drums down on the spot. Working the track with Stevie in post really brought that 'sweet sound”' that only working with Steve Priest for almost two decades can bring. The lyric 'Insane' popped out during that recording session, as well. The hook was there. After watching the movies 'X' and 'Maxxxine,' a character in my head came to life and I wrote the lyrics to this half imaginary, half true love, heroine. 'Insane' really takes Sweet back to its roots of dirty rock n' roll, crazy chord changes and larger than life harmonies. This is The Sweet we’ve been waiting for and this band is proving that the integrity of Brian, Mick, Andy and Stevie lives on in us.”

Merging the “Sweet” recognizable sound into what the legendary group always stood for: exploration into all genres without losing the integrity by stitching together the groups special formula, “Insane” does all of the above. The rhythm section of Stewart and Onori lay it down as this rock n' roll work of art glides along fast and furious towards a wild roller coaster ride into a cascade of vocal and guitar harmonies.

The group is now tracking a song that has been in the group archives which Steve Priest wrote and played bass and sang, "Sweet Dream." Sweet's reformation started in 2007, and 'Sweet Dream' was something he was proud of.

This new song demonstrates the same driving force and unpredictable musical quality that has always been the hallmark and essence of The Sweet’s iconic sound. And will always be.

Finnish Powerhouse Vocalists LAURENNE/LOUHIMO Announce New Album 'Falling Through Stars' Out April 18th via Frontiers Music Srl

Today, LAURENNE/LOUHIMO - the collaboration between powerhouse Finnish vocalists Noora Louhimo (Battle Beast) and Netta Laurenne (Smackbound) – announce the release of their sophomore album 'Falling Through Stars', set for release on April 18, 2025 via Frontiers Music Srl. The first single and accompanying video, “Damned”, are also available now.

On the single, LAURENNE comments:

'Damned' is our first single release, and it represents the most classic style of melodic metal and hard rock on the album. Full of energy and attitude, we wanted to create a video that shows us performing alongside the musicians who played on the album. The song explores the struggles of battling inner demons, depression and self-doubt - while also capturing the determination to rise above them.”

Watch the Music Video for “Damned” below:

LAURENNE/LOUHIMO is one of the most exciting projects on Frontiers Music Srl and, in this second chapter, deliver a full force metal assaults with the power to blow you away.

LAURENNE/LOUHIMO offers listeners a mix of heavy metal and hard rock tracks that explores the variety of the genre, while maintaining a straightforward, easy-to-enjoy appeal.

'Falling Through Stars' has shades of all eras of Rainbow here and there, as well as Judas Priest and many other 80s icons of the style. All of these influences are expertly filtered into Netta and Noora's way of composing music.

The idea of a possible collaboration between Netta and Noora became a reality once the pandemic started and cleared out calendars for both artists. It felt like a perfect time to start the project and share all the things they have in common, from the same original town to similar idols and influences.

The main highlights of the album are, naturally, the vocal melodies created and shared by Netta Laurenne and Noora Louhimo.

'Falling Through Stars' has been once again produced at the Sonic Pump studio under the guidance of Nino Laurenne (who also played the guitars and contributed to the songwriting). The production is clear and powerful and gives the deserved value to the two stars here.

Songs like “Falling Through Stars”, “Damned”, “Loud And Clear” or “Wait” are just a few of the highlights of a great album that will please all melodic metal fans!

Commenting on the album, LAURENNE states:

'Falling Through Stars' is the second collaborative album with Noora, and it gave us the opportunity to step in and out of our comfort zones to meet halfway. We had a great time writing and recording the album, which I co-produced with my husband, Nino Laurenne. This album takes us on a journey through both the past and future of metal. We’ve aimed to incorporate styles, instruments, and emotions spanning from the ’70s to the present day. It’s a dynamic album that showcases both raw power and delicate moments, and we’re excited to share it with everyone”

GILLSAW DROPS SECOND SINGLE "SIREN COMES"

The industrial rock scene is about to get louder and darker with the release of

“SIREN COMES,” the highly anticipated second single from GILLSAW. Following the success of their debut single "RIZEN" just a few weeks back, "SIREN COMES" takes listeners deeper into the heart of their gritty, aggressive sound—a relentless blend of metal, electronic, and industrial elements that define GILLSAW'S unique style.

"SIREN COMES" plunges into the terrifying experience of a man tormented nightly by a seductive Siren. The song captures the push and pull of this encounter, highlighting both the allure and the deadly intent of the Siren. Lyrics like "Her soft barefoot approach / Night prowl capable" and "Silky dominatrix / Smooth with tongue" paint a vivid picture of the Siren's seductive nature, while lines like "Demonic / Kills for thrills / She'll quickly she'll drain your soul" reveal her true, malevolent purpose. The repeated refrain "Thunderous Siren Comes" acts as a chilling reminder of the nightly terror. The story accompanying the song reveals the larger context: Ian, isolated and vulnerable, is the target of these nightly attacks.

RIZEN, a mysterious figure, warns Ian of the Sirens and their soul-stealing intentions. Each night, the Siren's seductive whispers almost break Ian's will, but Rizen's booming cry, "Get up boy, time to run!" jolts him back to reality, sending him fleeing into the night. This nightly ritual of terror and escape leaves Ian broken and on the brink, a mere shell of his former self, trapped in a cruel game orchestrated by Rizen. The song and story work together to create a haunting atmosphere, exploring themes of temptation, vulnerability, and the psychological torment of a seemingly endless nightmare.

Band Bio:

GILLSAW is the brainchild of Bay Area musician Jole Gills, a drummer and sonic experimenter with a lifelong passion for music. His eclectic influences range from industrial pioneers like Ministry and Nine Inch Nails to progressive metal giants like Devin Townsend and Tool, with detours into the experimental realms of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum and the cinematic soundscapes of Danny Elfman. Even the ambient textures of new age artists like Steve Roach find their way into the mix. All these elements converge to create Gillsaw's unique and captivating sound.

Deadlands Share Video for The Pretty Wild Collab Track "Kundalini"

New York-based band DEADLANDS, who joined the Spinefarm roster in 2024, are kicking off 2025 with a vicious new track. Today, the band has shared the video for new single "KUNDALINI," which is a complete collaboration with The Pretty Wild.

Watch it below.

"When we started writing 'Kundalini,' everything just felt so natural. CJ [Arey] and I walked into the studio and instantly clicked with The Pretty Wild girls (Jyl and Jules), and of course, Andrew the producer. From the very start, there was an incredible synergy, and we got right down to business. In just two days, we had created something truly special. The experience was infused with divine, feminine energy, and it was nothing short of inspiring," says Deadlands singer Kasey Karlsen.

She continues, "I'm beyond thankful to have worked alongside such brilliant and badass women. Jyl and Jules brought their unique artistry and creativity to the table, elevating the song to a whole new level. CJ and I were also blown away by Andrew's immense talent — his contribution was extraordinary, and we'd love to collaborate with him again in the future."

Karlsen finishes, "'Kundalini' is Deadlands' first-ever collaboration, and it's an honor to have teamed up with The Pretty Wild."

Jules from The Pretty Wild also offers a look into the song, saying, "'Kundalini' represents the primal, divine energy waiting to awaken, and that untamed force became the heartbeat of this song, a surge of calling out toxic femininity, empowerment, and transformation. We loved channeling that metal-physical edge, stitching together the spiritual and the brutal. Collaborating with Deadlands was an unforgettable journey, and we all poured everything into this beast, we can't wait to unleash it live."

"Kundalini" follows the Fall 2024 release of the video for "VILLAIN." Watch it here.

DEADLANDS are a New York-based band infusing fresh and unexpected energy into traditional post-hardcore. Founding member and frontwoman Kasey Karlsen is used to laying her cards face up on the table, as she has been writing about her toxic relationships, friendships, hardships, and current events  basically all topics that are near and dear to her heart — since she was in high school. She also draws over million followers across platforms, thanks to her compelling content. CJ Arey, professionally known as "NO SHADE," creates melodies for the guitar and bass while simultaneously inputting his own flare of trap and cinematic references into the production of the music. In 2024, the band headlined shows across the United States while making stops to perform at Louder Than Life, Aftershock, and Blue Ridge Festivals. Deadlands are working on more music for 2025, with tour plans on the horizon. Fans of bands like Asking Alexandria, Motionless In White, Escape the Fate, Falling in Reverse, Wage War, and Bring Me The Horizon will be magnetically drawn to DEADLANDS.

HEART*LIFE*MUSIC: Kenny Chesney's 1st True Book Arrives Nov. 4

Kenny Chesney, one of American music’s most iconic songwriter/stadium fillers, will release his first book, HEART*LIFE*MUSIC, with William Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, on Nov. 4, 2025. The freewheeling take on the superstar’s journey from small town East Tennessee dreamer to commanding the largest stages across the nation will capture the sparks of creativity, venture to places long gone, make unexpected music in Jamaica, the Kremlin, New England and Cabo San Lucas, drift across the waters of the Caribbean, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, encounter and collaborate with heroes, engage with a coterie of singular folks, friends and inspirations, and always find the joy of being unabashedly alive.

Raised largely by a single mother and extended family, Chesney’s life was built on sports, church, community – and the music he found everywhere. A gift of a guitar his freshman year and the resonance of East Tennessee State University’s Old Time Music and Bluegrass program sparked a passion no one saw coming. From playing for tips to trying to get a foot in the door, HEART*LIFE*MUSIC is a postcard from a Nashville that no longer exists: where songwriters define life, characters encourage young dreamers and a tenacious 20-something faced impossible odds and obstacles before starting to find a glimmer of success.

“This is not my memoir,” Chesney cautions, “but something far better. It is almost a love letter to people who shaped and inspired me, the fans who’ve been there from tiny bars, radio stations who believed when nobody else did, a team who just kept coming back, legends who gave me wisdom and opportunities and all the friends who’ve been there along the way. To me, that’s where the music came from – and this is the story of how it turned into the soundtrack for the way No Shoes Nation lives their lives, too.”

Whether playing for the homeless and hookers on a very different Lower Broadway in Nashville, a rickety Silver Eagle bus deemed “the Iron Lung,” seeing other young artists zoom by him, or sharing a renowned rock record label with Widespread Panic, Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquarium Rescue Unit and Gov’t Mule that had no country department, Chesney’s ability to lean in, believe and keep working forged a determination to withstand whatever happened. With an almost triple-Platinum Greatest Hits, it was the decision to make music for himself and the people like him that blew his creativity and career wide open.

Nine No. 1 all-genre Billboard Top 200 Album debuts, 17 No. 1 Country Album debuts, 8.6 billion on-demand audio streams and over 1 billion on-demand video streams is a lot of music made, played and ingested by a fan-base that Variety proclaims “a concertgoing community rivaled perhaps only by Parrotheads and Deadheads.” Moving at what seemed faster than the speed of sound, Chesney for the most part eschewed celebrity to keep his focus on the people; with songs that would resonate with them and a show that would not only give every bit of energy he and his band had, but provide a space for No Shoes Nation to converge, have fun, make new friends and revel in the glory of being who they were.

“I always said I’d never write a book,” he marvels. “Too many things happened almost to be believed, let alone lived, but I realized with the world moving in such fast forward motion, too much of what made Nashville, the music business and our lives great would be lost to the churn of the next click. To have been in a room as a kid writing with Dean Dillon, have Sean Payton call an NFL press conference to announce he’s drafting me to the Saints, be in Tuff Gong Studios with Aston “Family Man” Barrett and Alvin “Seeco” Patterson or on a private plane with George Jones after opening for him defies logic. So, for everyone in No Shoes Nation, I realized: you deserved to share the magic.”

Written with longtime friend and collaborator Holly Gleason, HEART*LIFE*MUSIC celebrates the life and rise of a man whose songs have set the tone and whose shows have anchored a world without borders for the last quarter century. From the road, stage, quiet moments and unthinkable thrills, it’s a book for anyone who’s ever wondered what the trip to No Shoes Nation might be like.

About The Authors
One of contemporary American music's biggest names, Kenny Chesney has been selling out major stadiums across the nation for two decades; playing to over a million fans every summer since 2002, prompting Variety to pronounce him “country music’s only true long-term stadium act.” He’s sold over 31 million albums and won the prestigious Entertainer of the Year title eight times, as well as holding Billboard's record for the most Country Airplay No. 1s with 33 chart-topping songs that defined coming of age in the flyover in the 21st Century. This year, the game-changing superstar becomes the first country artist to perform at the groundbreaking Sphere, again taking No Shoes Nation into a whole new dimension. Creating a space to work hard, play hard, love hard and come together in the spirit of celebrating all the moment offers, his popularity continues to grow year after year. HEART*LIFE*MUSIC is his first book.

Holly Gleason’s work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Los Angeles Times, New York Times and the Library of Congress’ National Registry of Sound Recordings, among other outlets. She was the LA Press Club’s Entertainment Journalist of the Year and the National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Association’s Independent Journalist of the Year. A former Rock & Roll Hall of Fame/Case Western Reserve Fellow, she’s the creator of Belmont Book Award-winning Woman Walk The Line and co-authored Miranda Lambert’s New York Times best-seller Y’all Eat Yet? as well as Prine on Prine: Interviews & Encounters.

“I am excited to finally be in Vegas, bringing the honky tonk to Sin City!” Shelton said. “We have a lot of fun ahead of us here at The Colosseum the next two weeks.”

Shelton also performed his brand new single “Texas.” Already Top 10, the song gives a nod to the King of Country Music, George Strait. Appropriately enough,  Shelton followed the song with Strait’s classic, “All My Ex’s Live In Texas.”

He brought more classic country to the stage with Alabama’s No. 1 hit, “Mountain Music.” Shelton recently honored the iconic group with a performance at CMT Giants: Alabama and on stage at the BMI Awards in Nashville in November.

Shelton closed out the extraordinary night with his signature hit, “God Gave Me You.” Blake Shelton: Live In Las Vegasreturns Friday and Saturday night and then closes with a three-night stand Feb 12, 14 and 15.

About Blake Shelton
As country music’s unapologetic ambassador, Blake Shelton has spent two decades pouring out boot-stomping bangers, heartbreak anthems and endearing odes to love gone wrong and right.

Shelton takes that same spirit to work on everything he does, from sold-out tours to instantly identifiable chart-topping songs or national television shows.

Over the span of his career, he has earned 29 No. 1 country singles, including his most recent chart-topping song, "Pour Me A Drink,” his duet with multi-genre hitmaker Post Malone.

With 52 million singles and 13 million albums sold, and nearly 11 Billion Global Streams, Shelton has received numerous awards, including six ACMs, three AMAs, 10 CMAs, 11 CMTs, and six People’s Choice, among many others.

He is currently climbing the radio and streaming charts with “Texas,” his new single with BMG Nashville. The song will lead to a new album in May.

On February 27 Shelton kicks off his “Friends & Hero’s” Tour on February 27 in Lexington, KY and features country icons Criag Morgan, Deana Carter and Trace Adkins plus special guest Emily Ann Roberts.

The Grand Ole Opry member will help celebrate the Opry’s 100th anniversary in March when he hosts a three-hour, star-studded special that will air on NBC. He also remains focused on his Ole Red partnership with Ryman Hospitality, with locations currently in Tishomingo, Nashville, Gatlinburg, Orlando, and most recently, Las Vegas, with a stand-alone venue complete with a roof-top stage and bar on the Las Vegas strip.

A noted humanitarian, Shelton has helped raise millions of dollars for children’s hospitals, disaster relief organizations, food banks, and the OK POP Museum, and he wrapped the “Back To The Honky Tonk” Tour in March with a special show in Tulsa titled Blake Shelton & Friends: Oklahoma Is All For The Hall. It featured fellow Oklahomans Ronnie Dunn, Kristin Chenoweth, Vice Gill, and others and raised more than $750,000 for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

BRKN LOVE Announces Third Full-Length LP 'The Program' out via Spinefarm on March 28th!

Modern Canadian rockers BRKN LOVE are pleased to announce the forthcoming release of their third full-length album, 'The Program,' due out March 28th via Spinefarm.

Exuding bravado, mystique, and a whole lot of heart, BRKN LOVE sets the rulebook on fire by plugging in, turning up, and churning out the kind of rock ‘n’ roll that makes you feel a little freer. Their gritty riffs pack enough punch to shake any stage while the grooves quake with just the right amount of hip-swinging gusto. Led by vocalist and guitarist Justin Benlolo, the music drips swagger, soul, and spirit amplified by arena-sized hooks and intriguingly inventive musicality.

To mark the album's announcement, BRKN LOVE has shared its first single "Pulling Leeches" along with a new music video, available below.

About the single Justin had this to say:

"We’re so excited to share our brand-new single, 'Pulling Leeches,' with you! This song came from a deeply raw place, and we poured everything into making it as gritty and unapologetic as possible. For us, it’s all about shedding your skin, breaking free from the tethers that hold you back, and confronting the feeling of a parasitic lover feeding off you—just like a leech. We drew heavy inspiration from bands like The White Stripes and The Black Keys, recording this track in a single take at Foo Fighters’ Studio 606 to capture its organic energy.

"We had so much fun making this one, and we hope you feel that, too. Turn it up and enjoy. Thank you!"

Watch the New Music Video for "Pulling Leeches" Below:

An impromptu 2023 trip to visit a friend in Charleston, SC gave rise to their third studio album, 'The Program.' Justin initially planned on spending a weekend in town. That weekend turned into nine weeks, and he returned to Toronto with the bulk of the album’s material.

“I didn’t have anything else to do, so I brought all of my gear and studio equipment,” he recalls. “I was so inspired by the environment and the friends I made. It’s a big city, but it’s not huge. It’s just beautiful though. The experience inspired the whole record. Instead of being so picturesque and metaphorical, I told stories.”

The album title even referenced the name of the text group for his new friends in Charleston, embedding the experience and the city in the fabric of the music. The vision had already crystallized before he left for Los Angeles where he recorded with longtime producer Anton DeLost (CleopatrickThe WarningState ChampsDead Poet Society). These friends, and a variety of other characters he met, ultimately inspired the concept at the heart of "The Program."

“It was a collective of 10 people I’d never met before, and we kept using the term ‘The Program’ repeatedly like, ‘Let’s go here, because it would be good for The Program’,” he goes on. “It was cool to be surrounded by near-complete strangers, invite them to our place, and play demos. Their opinions were unfiltered and blunt—which was awesome. I was actively searching for inspiration, and I put myself out there in different situations. I was free and unchained to do anything.”

BRKN LOVE fulfilled a clear destiny to be as free as possible on their third full-length LP, 'The Program.'

“In the past, I put parameters on what BRKN LOVE is supposed to be,” Justin mentions. “I’ve been hesitant to put out certain songs because I was unsure if they were us. I’m older and wiser. I have more experience doing this. I know if I’m singing and writing a song, it’s going to be BRKN LOVE. I’m the filter the music passes through.”

Pre-Order 'The Program' HERE

BRKN LOVE emerged with their self-titled debut in 2020. The group quietly generated over a quarter of a billion total streams. They notched a Top 15 entry on Active Rock radio with “Shot Down,” while their cover of “River” by Bishop Briggs hit critical mass. It inspired over 2 billion-plus views on TikTok. It piled up 28 million Spotify streams. 2022’s 'Black Box' only maintained this momentum. “Like A Drug” notched north of 8.5 million Spotify streams, made waves at Active Rock, and emerged as their third Top 5 at Canadian radio.

Comeback Kid Release Video for 20th Anniversary Version of Classic Song "Wake the Dead"

Winnipeg hardcore band COMEBACK KID are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their seminal album WAKE THE DEAD.

The band is releasing a re-recorded version of the title track of the record.

"The title track of our album Wake The Dead, which that we released two decades ago, provided us with more opportunities and brought us to more places around the world than we could have ever imagined," remembers singer Andrew Neufeld with fondness for how the album impacted the band's life and that of fans. "The song lands as the biggest moment in every single set that we've played — from Asia through South America to Europe, Africa, and North America."

He continues, "We wrote and recorded the song while I was still playing guitar in the band. After 19 years of being the vocalist, and singing the song every night, we would like to celebrate and commemorate a song that gave us wings that we never knew existed by re-recording it with our current lineup and with a fresh mix provided by Will Putney."

Watch the video for the re-done version of the song Below:

Neufeld finishes, "We will be releasing the single alongside an unreleased B-side from the original 2005 Wake The Dead recording sessions on 7", along with a number of variations of the full length re-pressed with new packaging!"

The 20th anniversary edition of the song was recorded by John Paul Peters and mixed and mastered by the aforementioned Putney.

Comeback Kid are also embarking on the album's 20th anniversary tour later this month. They will of course play the album in its entirety. It's no coincidence that the first show is in the band's hometown on the date of the original's release — February 22.

Alternative rock duo THE YETS release debut 'Pinup Girl' album & wistful video for title track

South Carolina alternative rock duo The Yets present their much-anticipated debut album 'Pinup Girl', released on February 7.  Picking up where their 2022 eponymous debut EP left off, this is a stunning collection of songs that dives deep into life and all the things that make us who and what we are.

Based in Myrtle Beach, The Yets features the creative synergy of guitarist-producer Craig Anderson Snook and vocalist Robin Wilson. Fusing Craig’s dynamic guitar work and production expertise with Robin’s rich, emotive vocals, their music sound is both powerful and distinctive.

Showcasing their evolution as artists, this album blends modern and classic rock elements to create a sound that is fresh and timeless.  Marked by lush, atmospheric instrumentation, soulful melodies, The Yets now have a distinctive presence in the alternative rock scene.

"Our 'Pinup Girl' album is a sonic journey from youth into adulthood and beyond, tracking thought and emotion all along the way.  Relationships are no accidental traveling companion to the music since, after all, that’s what life is really all about. Not just our relationships with each other, but our relationships with matters spiritual and universal in nature," says Robin Wilson.

"Although there is a special meaning in each song for us, broad inclusion awaits all who listen carefully.  We believe there’s a little something here for everyone and we hope you catch a glimpse of your reality in our 'Pinup Girl'."

The Yets recently shared 'Enemy', revolving around internal conflict, one’s own darker impulses and the paradox of freedom and destruction towards a path towards self-realization. Earlier, they shared the reverie-laden singles 'Define The Man' and '3's', blending modern and classic rock elements to create music that feels both fresh and timeless.

The duo also present a fresh video for the title track, evoking a deep sense of nostalgia and longing for a past love, beautifully captured in the imagery of a weathered photograph.  The mention of a “watermarked” photo suggests the passage of time and the fragility of memories having survived the elements, as the narrator recalls a moment where they can almost hear their loved one laughing behind the camera.  This vivid scene transports us to a time and place filled with joy, warmth and connection.

References to “Seabrook salt and the wind in your hair” paint a picturesque setting, emphasizing the carefree nature of their relationship.  The narrator holds this memory close, expressing how much they truly care. The lines about a “forties pinup” and a personal “Vargas girl” highlight the beauty and idealization of the girls in the photo, representing not just a romantic interest but an ideal that meant the world to the narrator.

Reflecting on the bittersweet nature of these memories, the narrator recognizes that while they were once perfect, things ultimately came undone. Grappling with the fading of such a meaningful moment from the minds eye, the lyrics express a deep affection for the memory itself while feeling the pain of loss and the desire to “rewind the film to the very start” to relive those cherished times. There is a yearning to return to moments of happiness and love that now feel out of reach.

Ultimately, reminiscing about a perfect love that now exists as memories underlines the fleeting beauty of a relationship, capable of evoking both a sense of joy and a poignant ache for what has been lost.

In 2022, The Yets' critically acclaimed eponymous EP was praised for its melodic sophistication and emotional resonance. Craig Anderson Snook, who played guitar for several popular bands in the 1980s, including Gross Negligence, brings decades of musical experience to the duo.  Robin, well known for her extensive touring with rock groups Skirt and  Bachelors of Art (B.O.A.), adds depth and passion to their music. Craig’s intricate compositions provide the perfect backdrop for Robin’s voice to soar, creating immersive and atmospheric landscapes that push the boundaries of alternative rock.

As of February 7, 'Pinup Girl' is available on CD via Bandcamp and digitally from fine online music platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
