International Powerhouse Rock Group W.E.T. Announce New Album 'Apex' Out on March 28th via Frontiers Music SRL

International powerhouse rock group W.E.T. are pleased to announce the release of their highly anticipated new studio album, 'Apex', set for release on March 28th via Frontiers Music Srl. The new track, “Where Are The Heroes Now”, and its accompanying lyric video are out now and available to view below.

Guitarist Erik Mårtensson describes the new single:

“This track embodies everything we love about W.E.T. – a true heavy classic. It was an absolute honor to share vocals with Jeff, backed by our incredible band delivering powerful performance after powerful performance. The epic solo by Magnus Henriksson at the end elevates the song to unimaginable heights. Stellar work by maestros Jeff Scott Soto, Robert Sall, Jamie Borger, Andreas Passmark, and Magnus Henriksson!”

“The song carries a dark yet hopeful tone, addressing the overwhelming challenges and hardships we face, both past and future ones, while expressing a longing for light and guidance amidst the darkness”, he adds.

'Apex', the fifth studio album of the melodic supergroup, is a bold statement in the band's confidence that they have delivered their best work to date. Eleven tracks full of big choruses and hooky melodies, all served on a platter of smooth heaviness.

Watch the Lyric Video for "Where Are The Heroes Now" Below:

The acronym W.E.T. comes from the members’ association with other bands, Robert Säll & Andreas Passmark from Work of Art, Erik Mårtensson & Magnus Henriksson from Eclipse and Jeff Scott Soto from Talisman. And now, for the first time ever, the T is emphasized as Talisman drummer Jamie Borger has joined forces with the band’s original core members.

W.E.T. truly epitomizes what melodic rock has become in the new decade. The key element at the foundation of W.E.T. has always been to create a modern melodic hard rock sound that will drive the genre into the future. Combining powerhouse rhythms and top-notch production (courtesy of Erik Martensson), the music is equally classic and contemporary.

Although a side project to the members’ original bands, over the course of the band’s existence, W.E.T. have reconvened regularly over the last 15 years to produce four studio albums and a live record.

Starting with a genre-defining self-titled debut, Robert Säll (the “W” from Work of Art), Erik Mårtensson (the “E” from Eclipse), and Jeff Scott Soto (the “T” from Talisman) accepted the daunting task to give that debut a follow-up, 'Rise Up'. After that stellar follow-up, their third opus, 'Earthrage', cemented a legacy of music which will stand the test of time.'Retransmission', their latest album, is nothing else than an absolute milestone, which is well in keeping with the tradition established by the three amazing records that have preceded this one.

Erik Mårtensson says:

“It’s always a challenge to find that sweet spot in our calendars when we are all available, not to mention the fact that Jeff lives in California and the rest of us in Sweden. But I also believe that adds to our ambition once we are able to gather. We are all aware that we don’t get too many shots at this, so when we do we gotta make it count.”

Morgan Wallen Releases Title Track to 4th Studio Album: “I’m The Problem”

With two No. 1 singles already hailing off his highly-anticipated upcoming fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, two-time 2025 GRAMMY nominee Morgan Wallen releases the title track today. “I’m The Problem” is available everywhere now, listen HERE.

“I’m The Problem” was written by Wallen, Ernest Keith Smith, Ryan Vojtesak, Grady Block and Jamie McLaughlin, and produced by Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome. The song seamlessly blends the metallic ring of keys, played by Dave Cohen, with the steady strum of the electric guitar, played by Tom Bukovac, and acoustic guitar, played by Bryan Sutton.

“I’m The Problem” follows Wallen’s latest, “Smile,” which reached No. 4 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and was lauded by Good Morning America as “a moody heartbreak number.” Previous release “Love Somebody” recently became Wallen’s 17th No. 1 at Country radio. Upon its release in October, the song became Wallen’s first solo song to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It additionally debuted on 11 charts globally and led Wallen to become the first artist to have three singles each sit atop the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts simultaneously.

The upcoming project sparked Wallen’s recently announced 2025 I’m The Problem Tour. Kicking off June 20 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, Wallen’s 20-show run will include stops in Seattle, Washington; Foxborough, Massachusetts; Toronto, Ontario and more. With a second stop recently added in Madison, Wisconsin, Wallen’s appearances will mark the first time an artist has played two consecutive nights at Camp Randall Stadium.

A rotating lineup of guests including Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Koe Wetzel join in direct support with Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley and Anne Wilson as first-of-three across select dates. General on-sale for I’m The Problem Tour begins tomorrow, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. local time at MorganWallen.com. Coupled with his much buzzed about inaugural Sand In My Boots Festival taking place in Gulf Shores, Alabama May 16-18, these 21 shows are the only place to see the superstar in 2025.

I’m The Problem comes as Wallen’s preceding projects, Dangerous: The Double Album and One Thing At A Time, landed No. 1 and No. 6 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums of the 21st Century, respectively, following their blockbuster success. His third studio album, One Thing At A Time, sat atop the Billboard 200 Albums chart for 19 non-consecutive weeks – the most at No. 1 by a Country album – and yielded seven No. 1 singles at Country radio.

Anuv Jain and AP Dhillon Deliver a Genre-Defying Track with “Afsos” Indie Meets Punjabi

Anuv Jain, one of the most celebrated voices in South Asia, has released his thirteenth single, marking a pivotal moment in his illustrious career. For the first time, the Ludhiana-based singer-songwriter has collaborated with Punjabi rapper and global sensation, AP Dhillon, on their new

single, "Afsos." This Punjabi track delivers a heartfelt, genre-defying masterpiece that will resonate with audiences worldwide.

"Afsos" dives into themes of regret and lost love, staying true to Jain’s renowned lyricism. The song tells the poignant story of a person reflecting on a past relationship, grappling with their mistakes and the inability to fully comprehend their partner’s love. The lyrics and production, crafted by both Jain and Dhillon, evoke heartbreak and longing, illustrating the irreversible nature of time. Through its soulful verses, "Afsos"captures the narrator’s profound sorrow, leaving them to navigate solitude and regret.

Sharing his thoughts on this track, Anuv Jain says, “‘Afsos’ is my first music collaboration and working on it has been such a crazy but memorable experience! It’s been a while since I last sat down to write a song in Punjabi. It was quite a lot of fun, even if I was constantly asking the people around me to check if a sentence made sense. I’m so glad my mom was sitting and working on it with me.

Once AP got on board with the song and added his verse, it just went to the next level. I’m so pumped that my first collaboration ever is with such an incredible artist. I really hope everybody loves the song like I do.”

Expressing his excitement about this release, Dhillon shares, “I am thrilled to be collaborating with Anuv on ‘Afsos’. I’m so glad we were able to connect and create this beautiful track together. The song represents a soundscape I’ve been wanting to share with my fans, and I’m excited to experiment musically alongside one of India’s biggest music artists. I am so happy that Anuv is singing in Punjabi again; his voice adds so much soul to the track. It was great to share the stage and perform the song live in Chandigarh with him and I hope to be back soon to recreate that moment and for everyone to experience ‘Afsos’ – it’s truly special!”

Over the years, Anuv Jain has established himself as a musical powerhouse with achievements that underscore his influence and talent. His breakout single, "Baarishein," which has surpassed 1 billion streams across all platforms, set the foundation for a career defined by lyrical depth and melodic resonance. Jain’schart-topping success continued with hits like "Husn" and "Jo Tum Mere Ho"; each having over 500 million streams, topping Viral and Top Songs charts globally across Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and JioSaavn (#1 in India, Pakistan, UAE, and Maldives). With over 1.5 billion Spotify streams and over 19 million monthly listeners, Jain’s music continues to bridge cultural and emotional divides.

Beyond his musical achievements, Jain has been recognized for his cultural impact. Named in Forbes India’s "30 Under 30" and GQ India’s "35 Most Influential Young

Indians," Jain has earned accolades for his cultural contributions. His performances include opening for Post Malone at the Feeding India Zomato concert and headlining sold-out tours across India. In April 2024, he was chosen as one of the select artists for UN LIVE’s Sounds Right campaign, showcasing his commitment to environmental conservation. 2024 was a landmark year for Anuv. After his "Guldasta" Tour across India, selling 35000 tickets in 10 cities, he took his touring journey global by playing sold out shows across 5 cities in Australia, Auckland NZ, 2 sold out shows in London, Dublin, and Manchester, Kathmandu Nepal and Dubai.

AP Dhillon has redefined Punjabi and Desi pop music on a global scale. Known for his breakthrough hit "Brown Munde," Dhillon’s career highlights include being the first Punjabi artist to perform at the Juno Awards in 2023 and Coachella in 2024. With over 3.49 billion total Spotify streams, Dhillon’s music resonates with millions worldwide. His 2023 Amazon documentary, "AP Dhillon: First of a Kind," chronicles his journey from Punjab to global stardom, further cementing his legacy as a transformative figure in music.

ABOUT THE HELLACOPTERS

Less than three years after their triumphant, chart-storming comeback record, Eyes Of Oblivion, which entered at #1 in their home country, at #3 in Germany, and on #6 in Finland, Sweden's most consistently great rock outfit is back with another banger of an album called Overdriver, due out on January 31st, 2025.

In the meantime, THE HELLACOPTERS have celebrated their triumphant return by playing a show with the mighty Iron Maiden in Gothenburg in July 2022, and gigs with Ghost in Germany in June 2023, apart from their own string of headline shows throughout Europe. Eager to keep the rock flowing, February 16th, 2024 saw THE HELLACOPTERS release not one, but two stunning versions of their classic Grande Rock album, which was originally released in 1999. Grande Rock Revisited included a remastered original version and a remixed and partially re-recorded version as a companion piece, showing how the album could have sounded in a parallel universe with guitarist Dregen being in the band at the time. After making rock grande again, the group set sights on new material, debuting the phenomenal single 'Stay With You'  in May 2024 and releasing it as a limited 7inch via Lightning Records.

Their ninth full-length Overdriver was recorded at Strawberry Studio & The Honk Palace and is the first HELLACOPTERS album entirely produced by Nicke Andersson. As you might expect from a HELLACOPTERS album it's filled to the brim with roaring guitars and earth-shattering grooves, fist-raising energy, and anthemic choruses, while keeping the variety richer than ever before. The striking cover for Overdriver was created by German illustrator Max Löffler.

Swedish Retro Rockers SPIDERS Release New Single "Mess With My Emotions" + Music Video

The wait is almost over. Swedish retro rock sensation SPIDERS are back with a bang, releasing their latest single, "Mess With My Emotions", as the final teaser before their highly anticipated new album, 'Sharp Objects', sees the light of day on February 14th via Wild Kingdom/Sound Pollution. In addition, the single arrives with an eye-catching music video that matches the track's intensity, available to view below.

True to the band’s signature style, "Mess With My Emotions" fuses nostalgic seventies vibes with a fresh, modern edge. The track showcases an electric interplay between John Hoyles' masterful guitar work and the powerhouse vocals of Ann-Sofie Hoyles. Together, they create a sound that’s both deeply rooted in classic rock and unmistakably relevant for today’s music scene.

Hoyles shares her thoughts on the single:

“Our time is precious, our emotions are sacred, and there's a fine line between happiness and madness. No one is a total master of their own universe, so take care of your own mind and thoughts, and don't mess up anybody's emotions.”

Watch the Video for "Mess With My Emotions" Below.

"Mess With My Emotions" is now available on all major streaming platforms. Mark your calendars for the release of 'Sharp Objects' on February 14th, and prepare to experience SPIDERS like never before!

UK electronic duo Dragon Welding shares 'We Dance Among You', an uptempo tale of planetary decline

UK electronic-synthpop duo Dragon Welding presents their latest single 'We Dance Among You', the second offering from their forthcoming album 'The Naughty Step', out February 28 via Dimple Discs.

Dragon Welding is an anagram of Andrew Golding, perhaps best known as co-founder and guitarist of Essex-based indie noise-pop legends The Wolfhounds. He shares, "The theme here is how climate change denial has elevated ignorance to ridiculous levels. ‘Drill Baby, Drill’. The next generations of people will look back at our generation in absolute horror. It’s about those hiding amongst us in plain sight. Profit over the planet every time with a complete disregard for the next generations...

We have failed to engage society
Leaving clues for the future to guess
Agendas built on real anxieties
Elvis left the building in a terrible mess

This insanity is perfectly captured in a dynamic 'stop-start' animation, created by award- winning graphic artist Andy Royston, who also designed the album's cover.

For this album, Golding is joined by vocalist Nik Cockshott (formerly of leftfield indie rockers The Spores and The Keatons). In late 2024, the duo shared the album's first single ‘Up And Away’, a clarion call to a dozing generation, released as a 3-track offeringInitially joining Golding for a one-off show in 2023, Cockshott and Golding soon began working together on new material, resulting in the 2024 single 'These Are Dangerous Times', a radical electronic reworking of Dragon Welding's debut release five years prior, essentially marking Dragon Welding's rebirth as a group.

After debuting in 2019 with a well-received eclectic eponymous album, Dragon Welding released the all-instrumental 'Lights Behind The Eyes’ (2021) and then ‘Fictionary’ (2023), which featured guest appearances by Anthony Chapman of Collapsed Lung and Alice Golding of The Othyrs.

With a consistent voice, a solid focus on idiosyncratic and, at times, dark electronic backing, augmented by an increasing plethora of obtuse instrumentation, unpretentious ecologically and socially-relevant lyrics, this incarnation of Dragon Welding is ready to present their new material. The new album continues DW's tradition of blending clever guitar with mischievous sonic and rhythmic manipulations.

“Dragon Welding is very much about following the noise and seeing where it goes. We never deliberately set out to create a particular sound but, for these songs, I was trying to ensure that my contributions on guitar were overlaid onto the sparsity of the sound. I deliberately left gaps in the canvas to fill out later once the music had dried," says Andrew Golding.

"It is an expansion of the Dragon Welding sound of the previous albums. Having Nik sing on all the tracks gave me an impetus to focus on the lyrics and music, letting him interpret them in his own way. It’s very much ‘80s electronica meets glam rock via paranoia.”

'We Dance Among You' is out now via Bandcamp.  'The Naughty Step' album, set for release on February 28, is now available for pre-order. Vinyl and CDs will be available from Rough TradeAmazon and Resident Records.

On March 1, Dragon Welding's album launch show will take place at Betsey Trotwood in London, along with krautrock-folkrock outfit (and label-mates) The Othyrs.

Floya Share Video For New Single - "CLOUD9"

Following the debut album Yume, FLOYA embark on one final journey through the dreamlike world they've crafted — before setting course for new sonic frontiers.

"CLOUD9" is the explosive send-off, an adrenaline-fueled fusion of rock, hyperpop, and drum and bass/jungle that pushes the band's dynamic range to new heights.

Driven by pulsating electronic beats, "CLOUD9" bridges the ethereal soundscapes of Yume with the raw intensity of what's to come. Lyrically, the song is a moment of clarity—"I see you, I know who you are, but you’re not even in my orbit anymore." It's a euphoric rush— both a celebration and a transition — announcing a more grounded chapter in FLOYA's evolution.

The music video, filmed in Tokyo and Osaka, captures this shift. Neon-lit streets and vast cityscapes provide the perfect setting for a track that’s all about moving forward without looking back.

God Complex Announce New EP "He Watches in Silence" + Share Video for "Depraved Idol"

GOD COMPLEX have announced the details of their upcoming EP, He Watches In Silence, to be released on February 21 via SharpTone Records. Pre-order and pre-save the EP here.

To coincide with the announcement, the band have released the video for their caustic new single "Depraved Idol."

Watch the video below.

On their new EP, the band comments, "We're incredibly proud of this EP and we're thrilled for people to finally hear it. As a comeback effort, we felt it was important to do things differently, so we deliberately avoided lengthy pre-production and allowed small variations in the recordings to embrace the mess and chaos that sit at the heart of our sound. We wanted to create something more refined and savage than anything we've previously attempted."

God Complex continue, "The metaphor most people use to describe rebirth is the phoenix or a change of seasons but a more accurate image for this EP is a cornered animal. Something a bit feral with its drive to sustain itself untethered from restraint."

In regards to "Depraved Idol," the band states, "The title of the first single ('Salt and Ash') evokes what is left behind when everything has been destroyed — but we were also interested in exploring rebirth imagery in the idol of The Green Man. He's almost never depicted as a god demanding sacrifice, so our imagining is one where the renewal he symbolizes can only be attained through suffering and loss — a 'Depraved Idol.'"

GOD COMPLEX ARE:
Danny Skarratts — Guitars
Harry Rule — Vocals
James Lyon — Drums
Kyle Holt — Guitars + Vocals
Luke Lomas — Guitars
Sam Morris — Bass

EPICA Announce New Album "Aspiral" + Share Video For New Single "Cross The Divide"

Symphonic metal titans EPICA are excited to announce that their ninth studio album Aspiral, out on April 11.

The album title is derived from the eponymous bronze sculpture made by Polish sculptor and painter Stanisław Szukalski back in 1965 and stands for renewal and inspiration — key words that define Epica in 2025. In Szukalski's work, every detail is a piece of art on its own and there's always more to the story than you initially think. The band saw this as the perfect analogy for the creation of this ninth album: Each song stands on its own with a distinctive vibe and meaning, while together they enforce each other into a monumental effort.

The album, featuring stunning cover artwork by Hedi Xandt (Rammstein, Ghost, Parkway Drive), is now available for pre-order in the below mentioned formats. The special editions even include the BluRay and audio recordings of the full monumental "Symphonic Synergy" performance in Amsterdam that the band recorded in 2024, with an orchestra and choir.

Recorded once again at Sandlane Studios and expertly mixed and produced by Joost van den Broek, Aspiral boasts 11 new tracks.

If you want to get another appetizer of the new tracks, you can check out the band's music video for the up-tempo anthem "Cross The Divide," directed by Kunststoff below.

ABOUT DRY KILL LOGIC:
Formed in late 1994, Dry Kill Logic quickly established themselves as a force in the heavy music scene. Under their initial moniker of Hinge, the band garnered a dedicated fanbase with their aggressive sound and straightforward lyrics.  Produced by Eddie Wohl (Primer 55, Ill Nino) and Rob Caggiano (Anthrax, Volbeat, Cradle of Filth), their 2001 debut album The Darker Side of Nonsense was an essential part of the alternative metal landscape, with tracks like "Nightmare" and "Rot" still echoing in the memories of fans worldwide. The band built their live show on worldwide tours and festivals alongside Fear Factory, Slayer, Killswitch Engage, Spineshank, Mastodon, and many more.

In 2002, the band parted ways with Roadrunner Records and was joined by guitarist Jason Bozzi who took the band's signature sound to the next level.  Once again with Wohl and Caggiano at the helm, the band released their sophomore album The Dead and Dreaming on Repossession Records in the US and SPV Records globally. Seamlessly traversing the lines of metalcore, post — hardcore and alternative metal the band stretched their wings, embracing melody, dynamics and more complex songwriting. Tracks like "Paper Tiger," "200 Years," "Neither Here nor Missed," and "With Deepest Regrets…" showcases the depth and character of the new lineup, as well as a newfound live ferocity after years of nonstop touring. Co-headline U.S. tours with Nonpoint, Drowning Pool, and Hed PE followed, along with a slot on the inaugural 2005 Gigantour featuring Megadeth, Dream Theater, and many others. The band wound down the album cycle with a run of headline shows in the U.S. and shows supporting Disturbed and Corrosion of Conformity.

In 2006, the group was joined by bassist Brendan Kane (100 Demons, A Thousand Falling Skies) and released both their live DVD The Magellan Complex and their third album, Of Vengeance and Violence. Produced by Wohl and Caggiano and mixed by legendary engineer Paul Orofino (Blue Oyster Cult, Bleeding Through, Ahmad Jamal), the band again evolved, pushing the limits of metalcore aggression with songs like "My Dying Heart," "Dead Mans Eyes," and "Boneyard." It was at this time the band found itself as a headline act across Europe, returning twice in the year due to demand. The band also played its first shows in Australia as support for Fear Factory and DevilDriver.

Following a series of challenges within the ever-evolving dynamics of the music industry, the band went on hiatus in 2007. Despite sporadic rumors of a reunion, Dry Kill Logic remained silent, with fans wondering if they'd ever see the band return to the stage.

In 2018, the group surprised their fans by releasing "Vices," the ferocious first single from the group in 13 years. Produced by Greg Thomas (End, Misery Signals, Shai Hulud), the track was celebrated by fans worldwide as a triumphant return to form. In 2020, the band worked with Thomas and released "Don't See Ghosts," a hauntingly relentless track filled with the group's signature guitar work and pummeling breakdowns.

In 2025, Dry Kill Logic plan to unveil their new single and music video capturing the dark energy of the music. The song blends their signature explosive riffs with atmospheric acoustic elements, creating an aggressive yet melodic experience.  It's a declaration of intent — a bridge from the band's past to a bold future.

31 years after their inception, the best is yet to come.

THE WILDHEARTS Release New Single "Troubadour Moon" from Forthcoming Studio Album ‘Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts’

THE WiLDHEARTS release a brand new single, "Troubadour Moon," from their forthcoming studio album, ‘Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts, out on March 7th via Snakefarm.

The uplifting "Troubadour Moon" is an explosion of anthemic goodness and packs a melodic punch, watch the new music video below!

Ginger Wildheart comments:

“I was reading an interview with a well-known musician recently, and he was talking about how there aren’t any troubadours anymore – people who play music purely for the love of it. I thought it was an interesting observation, so I’ve addressed it here, along with the idea of being yourself and not being swayed by trend or fashion by the latest thing. If you allow that to happen, there’s the danger that you’ll always be one step behind or in someone else’s shadow…

Dante Bonutto of Snakefarm adds:

With the new ‘Satanic Rites…’ album reflecting both the spirit and the energy of the classic ‘Earth vs…’ debut, both musically and visually, it made sense for the video for ‘Troubadour Moon’ to contain a host of references – some very subtle and obscure – to the glorious early days of the band.

"Plus, acknowledging the past in this way will hopefully put a smile on the faces of longstanding fans, and underline the fact that those creating the videos, the artwork and the photos, all of the imagery, are true fans of the band with a passion for detail. And if anyone knows why there’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it nod to former Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan in the clip, then you really are a serious fan! Please take a bow!

Check out the Official Video for "Troubadour Moon" Below.

The creatively brilliant Ginger Wildheart is arguably amongst the UK’s best and most prolific songwriters, and his band, THE WILDHEARTS, recently signed a worldwide deal with Snakefarm / Integral.

"The songs on ‘Satanic Rites…’ were written during a period of transition, from extremely negative to positive,” reflects Ginger. “I realised how much control I have over my mental health, and the songs came from that understanding. There’s everything here – catchy choruses, proper fuck-off riffs, anger, frustration, acceptance and revelation, with plenty of insane detours. The album starts pessimistic and ends up like ‘Ah, so I CAN turn my life around?’ It’s a hard rock album for people who love hard rock!”

Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts, their 11th studio album, was produced by Jim Pinder(Bring Me The Horizon, While She Sleeps, Bullet For My Valentine) and mixed by Jim Pinder & Carl Bown (Trivium, Machine Head, While She Sleeps, Bullet For My Valentine, Bring Me The Horizon) and the record is conceived as a belated follow-up to their classic debut, ‘Earth vs The Wildhearts’ (1993).

Along with the singles, "Failure Is The Mother Of Success" and "Troubadour Moon,"the album features a further eight tracks, including glam stomper "I’ll Be Your Monster" (featuring Shining / Emperor member Jørgen Munkeby on guest saxophone).

Pre-Save 'Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts' HERE

Satanic Rites of The Wildheartswill be available on coloured vinyl LP, CD (with exclusive bonus track), and cassette. The LP & CD formats contain lyrics hand-written by Ginger, a painting by Ginger, plus other Ginger-related graphics.

HANABIE. Release New Track "Tasty Survivor" (via Sony Music Japan) Featured On 'Momentarily Lily' Anime Streaming Now on Crunchyroll

Harajuku-core trailblazers HANABIE. are kicking off 2025 deliciously with their new track "Tasty Survivor"(via Sony Music Japan). Today's release is the featured ending theme song for the new anime series 'Momentarily Lily' streaming now on Crunchyroll, with an official music video coming soon. Speaking about the track, vocalist Yukina commented:

"This is our very first tie-in with an anime, and we wrote this track specifically for it! The song reflects the world and characters of Momentary Lily while also capturing the essence of our band life. From the intense “eat or be eaten” vibe of live band battles to the exhilarating build-up toward the chorus, it mirrors the way we warm up for a live show and the anticipation of listeners heading to the venue.

We hope this song becomes a source of energy for everyone living their lives to the fullest all over the world."

Guitarist and vocalist Matsuri shared:

"For our first-ever anime tie-in, we focused on blending the world of Momentary Lily with HANABIE.'s unique style. The result is a track that’s bold and straight-forward, yet carries a touch of fragility. The intensity of the intro, in particular, was inspired by the anime’s battle scenes, so we’d love it if you pay close attention to every detail. There were so many connections between HANABIE. and the characters of Momentary Lily, and we poured all those emotions into the lyrics. We hope you enjoy every aspect of the song, from the lyrics to the music, down to the smallest nuances!"

Bassist Hetsu added:

"This is HANABIE.’s long-awaited anime tie-in song!

We expressed the story of the girls in the anime in true HANABIE. style—it's pop, fast-paced, and features an incredibly catchy chorus that perfectly matches the battle scenes. We think it’s going to be addictively fun!

The bass line is also super catchy and intense, so make sure to pay attention to that as well.

We hope you’ll enjoy the song together with the anime! ♪"

HANABIE. drummer Chika also commented:

"This is our first-ever anime tie-in, and we had the honor of creating the opening theme for Momentary Lily. While keeping the anime in mind, we also made sure to stay true to HANABIE.'s signature style.

One of the key highlights in the drums is right before the first chorus—a section where the kick drum is hit eight times in a row. It’s a small but powerful detail, inspired by the dynamic and intense battle scenes, as if representing a flurry of attacks.

Just like the anime, this track is full of highs and lows, and we hope it gets your heart racing with excitement as you listen!"

Prior to today, the quartet released their banger "Ito Okashi My Type" from their new EP 'Bucchigiri Tokyo' available now on all streaming platforms, and announced a massive North American co-headlining run with alternative artist Kim Dracula beginning in March 2025. The band has also just announced their EU/UK Fall headlining tour beginning in late October. About HANABIE.

HANABIE. is a Tokyo-based all-girl rock band that has been making waves since 2015, when YUKINAMATSURI, and HETTSU came together for a high school club activity. With the addition of CHIKA in May 2023, the band has evolved into a force to be reckoned with. Don’t be fooled by their cute, girlish image—their sound is a hard-hitting blend of powerful shouts, heavy riffs, and unique Japanese flair, capturing fans at home and abroad. Their hit single “Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now” has amassed over 8.6 million views on YouTube and 5.1 million views on TikTok.

In December 2024, HANABIE. released their latest EP, Bucchigiri Tokyo, further showcasing their dynamic range and signature style.

2023 marked the beginning of their overseas ventures, and in August 2024, they made history as the first Japanese women to perform on the main stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago, USA. MIKE PORTNOY: "IT WAS LIKE SEEING YOUR WIFE WITH HER NEW HUSBAND."

The returning drumming legend with prog metal titans Dream Theater tells Rock Candy Magazine about his time away from the band and why it feels right to be back in the fold.

“It was a longing to come home, to be with family. The two Johns [Petrucci and Myung] and I started together when we were teenagers, and now here we are creeping up on 60. It goes way deeper than coming back to a band.”

The release of the band's sixteenth studio album, ‘Parasomnia’, finds the friends out on the road and taking their peerless brand of razor-sharp melodic metal to their expectant fans. The band had much success with previous drummer Mike Mangini behind the kit, but Mike Portnoy's reappearance has scratched an itch for many die-hard followers. Mike is very aware of the fans and feels the weight of trying to live up to expectations.

“We just have to write for ourselves and make ourselves happy. Dream Theater fans are so rabid, and so opinionated, and so passionate that there's no way we can please everybody... I really care about our fans. I've spent my whole career trying to model everything I do for them because I relate to them as much as anybody. The hardest thing for me is to keep an eye on that, but also look away from it and please ourselves first and foremost. There's a balance somewhere, though, and hopefully we're striking it.”

You can read our exclusive Mike Portnoy interview, as well as the interviews with all the members of Dream Theater in issue 48 of Rock Candy Magazine, together with in-depth stories and interviews with Ian Gillan, Steve Vai, Pantera and Anthrax's Charlie Benante,Teaze, TKO and more. Australia’s genre-defying heavyweights Thornhill are back with their most ambitious chapter yet. The band has also unveiled details of their first-ever North American headline tour, kicking off in Los Angeles on April 11th, 2025.

Thornhill’s new single “Silver Swarm” dives deep into the emotional depths of the chaotic manipulation and push-and-pull of love, control, and self-doubt experienced in toxic relationships. Speaking on the new track, Thornhill vocalist Jacob Charlton elaborates:

“‘Silver Swarm’ is a visceral exploration of the emotional labyrinth created by overwhelming feelings and the toxic pull of manipulation. The track vividly captures the experience of being ensnared in an intense, destructive relationship, where one is both irresistibly drawn to and desperately repelled by the manipulator’s influence. The ‘Silver Swarm’ becomes a powerful metaphor for the invasive thoughts and emotions that consume and cloud the protagonist’s sense of self. With its dynamic shifts in tone and intensity, the song mirrors the chaotic push and pull of such a relationship, oscillating between fear, confusion, and moments of clarity. It’s a haunting portrayal of the internal conflict that arises when love, control, and toxicity become entangled, leaving the listener to confront the complexity of being trapped in something both harmful and compelling.”

"Silver Swarm" builds on the foundation laid by their recent single “nerv,” which explored the dangerous dance between desire and self-preservation. “nerv” showcased the band’s ability to fuse haunting electronics and nu-metal fury with anthemic melodies, earning widespread acclaim and landing the band on the cover of Spotify's The Core playlist as well as adds on hugely popular playlists Kickass Metal and All New Metal. The track has already racked up 1.2 million streams on Spotify and 219,000 views on YouTube, firmly solidifying this new chapter of Thornhill as one of modern heavy music’s most exciting prospects heading into 2025.

After the success of ‘Heroine,’ Thornhill’s ARIA-nominated sophomore album, the band has redefined their sound with ‘BODIES.’ Speaking on the upcoming release the band shares:

“‘BODIES’ marks a bold evolution in our ever-developing sound. ‘Heroine’ was defined by its meticulously crafted and tightly woven concept, but the weight of this careful construction sometimes overshadowed the energy of the music itself, leaving some listeners feeling disconnected. With ‘BODIES,’ we’ve embraced a more immediate, unfiltered approach that feels like a lightning bolt, looking to capture the energy of ‘Thornhill right now.’

The album thrives on spontaneity and freedom, foregoing rigid concepts in favour of pure, in-your-face authenticity. It’s less about delivering a carefully constructed narrative and more about creating a visceral, open-ended experience. ‘BODIES’ serves as a sonic moodboard—a collection of feelings and vibes—intentionally left open to interpretation. It has an upbeat and almost celebratory, party energy at times, but also retains all the emotion and intensity Thornhill are known for, making it our heaviest and most explosive work to date.

With ‘BODIES,’ we invite listeners to connect on their own terms. It’s raw, personal, and unapologetically immediate—a record that thrives in the moment, capturing our band at our most authentic and free.”

In celebration of the new album, for the first time ever, Thornhill will headline stages across North America in Spring 2025. The ‘BODIES’ North American Headline Tour kicks off on April 11th at The Echo in Los Angeles and features support from AVOID, Ocean Grove, and Banks Arcade. Tickets go on sale at 10am local on Friday, January 31st HERE.

Commenting on their first ever US headline run, Thornhill shares:

“We couldn’t be more excited to announce our very first North American headline tour! It’s something we’ve dreamed about for years, and now it’s finally happening. We’re bringing along some incredible friends—AVOID, Ocean Grove, and Banks Arcade—and trust us, this lineup is going to deliver a high-energy show from start to finish. We’re so gassed to bring the songs of our new album ‘Bodies’ to the stage.”
