Bassist, Maddox Messer, shared insights into the inspiration behind the song:
“One more Time was written about relationships that had regrettably moved on. Personally, we felt that it was about trying to fix things too late. As the years went by we realized it had so much more meaning. Dealing with our own personal losses, wishing to see loved ones again, and wanting to be the person that they could rely on. One more time hits a heavy note of regret and longing for a second Chance to change things for the better.. Realizing the importance of fixing things now instead of putting them off.”

Messer's ability to encapsulate raw emotion within their music has resonated with audiences, making their releases highly anticipated events. The band's commitment to authenticity and relatable storytelling continues to solidify their place within the rock music landscape.

The Union Underground and SOiL Announce the 'Back To The 2000's Tour' this March with Special Guests Ra and Flaw

“Back To The 2000’s Tour” featuring The Union Underground, SOiL, RA, and Flawto kick off in March 2024

The “Back To The 2000’s Tour” features the return of Texas heavy weights The Union Underground, along with Chicago based SOIL and very special guests RAand Flaw. The tour launches in March 2024 and will feature each band playing exclusive material from their most popular albums that were released in the early 2000’s.

The Union Underground will perform selections from the hit debut An Education In Rebellion. SOiL will perform songs from their sophomore breakthrough album Scars. RA will play material from the album From One, and Flaw will perform songs from their debut album Through The Eyes.

The premise of this tour is to bring fans back to the days when festivals like Ozzfestgave new bands a chance to break through to the masses when the Nu Metal scene was thriving. Each band on the tour not only had massive hit songs at the time, but had also toured together and joined forces to create a massive heavy music scene.

According to The Union Underground frontman Bryan Scott: “ I’m looking forward to re-introducing the world to 'An Education In Rebellion', which in my clearly biased opinion, is a fantastic, timeless album! The continued love and support from Union Underground fans over the years has been overwhelming, and that devotion is exactly what has inspired the new music on the forthcoming album. Make no mistake, this is not a nostalgia tour. It’s the launch of a new chapter for the band and an opportunity for new generations of music lovers to discover us. And our longtime friends in SOiL are the perfect partners in crime for the experience! We will perform “AEIR” in its entirety, Across The Nation and a couple of unreleased songs from the new album. Let’s Get It On!”

SOiL bassist Tim King remarks: “Bryan Scott and I came up with this idea quite some time ago. I’m so happy we were able to bring all these bands together for what is sure to be a great re-introduction to this genre of music. The first tour SOiL did on the “Scars” album was with The Union Underground in 2001. Here we are over 20 years later doing it again. It just proves that great bands can last the test of time”

The “Back To The 2000’s Tour” kicks off March 1 in San Antonio, TX and circles through the Midwest and East Coast to end on March 23 in Joliet, IL.

The Intemperate Sons Release Official Music Video for Single "Once Again" via FRAME|WORK

Indie rock band The Intemperate Sons released their new single "Once Again" off the yet to be released, Dark Day’s Night LP (set for early 2024). This track was produced by Amir Derakh and The Intemperate Sons. It was recorded at The Kitchen Recording Studios in Dallas, TX. "Once Again" takes the outsider look of someone hellbent on making the worst of a bad situation and all of the negative energy radiating from their aura. Today, the band released a brand-new music video for the single on YouTube.

WATCH the Official Music Video for "Once Again" below

The Intemperate Sons release all their music through the Frame|Work record label at the direction of Amir Derakh, Ryan Shuck, and Denny Sanders at The Label Group. All Intemperate Sons’ tracks are mixed by Amir Derakh in Long Beach, CA. All mastering is done by Mike Marsh Mastering in the U.K.

The Intemperate Sons emerged onto the rock scene in the summer of 2019 in Dallas, TX, to bring their distinct sound to the genre. A deep love for music brought family members Keith Watson (drums), Jake Watson (guitars) and Max Watson (vocals, guitars, keys) together along with close friend Mark Marks, who provides the groove on bass to unite everything together. The band's sound has been described as a 90's alternative style that is obsessed with the 70's.

Keith is well acquainted with entertaining massive crowds of concert goers and has played with many successful bands in Dallas, such as Gun Hill, Natural Born Thrillers and Agents of Solace, on top of opening for Lynch Mob, Joe Lynn Turner and Sponge. He is the primary lyricist for the band and has written the music for some of their most successful songs, including “Dust to Dust,” “The Color Within,” and “Unrealized.”

Multi-talented and gifted with the ability to play various instruments, Max is also the lead vocalist of the group. Along with being musically dexterous, he has also collaborated with Keith to write lyrics on the released songs “Going Crazy” and “Way Back When.” In the studio, Max usually surmounts expectations and goes above and beyond to prepare prior to a session with his own vocal harmonies.

Jake is the song architect of the Sons and extremely instrumental in the crafting of the music. His inventive ways of bringing lyrics to life in clever ways are unprecedented and fascinating to see in the studio setting. He is a prolific writer of music as well and is credited with helping create the songs “What’s Done is Done,” “Remission,” “Way Back When” and “Wading in the Gray.” Both Max and he play lead guitar on many of the songs as well. The other members of the band fondly refer to him as the “art director” since he enjoys taking charge in those areas for the group.

Prolific and unifying, Mark is an accomplished bass player and well known in Dallas. He was in the regionally successful band, Haggard, and had opened for Sebastian Bach of Skid Row. His input in song writing has been invaluable to the process of creating captivating melodies.

Despite the pandemic putting a pause on many major events, The Intemperate Sons lived up to their name and let nothing hold them back from making music. Constantly hard at work in the studio, they have collaborated with Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy, Rough Cutt) and Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Adema, Dead by Sunrise, Orgy). Both have lent their musical talents to various songs and ultimately have brought the Sons on to their label, Frame|Work. This led the band to also recently join the management roster at The Label Group. Ryan worked with Amir to produce the band’s upcoming track, “Game of Keep Away,”and has had a huge impact on the group. He’s been especially influential on Max’s vocal melodies and delivery. Amir also plays guitar on this latest ballad and has been mixing all of the band’s music as well as performing on multiple songs.

Another notable collaboration has been with Tony Franklin (The Firm, Roy Harper, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Whitesnake), primarily on the first album, The Color Within. He has been a valuable friend of the band and has played bass on some of their best tracks from that album, including “Running Man,” “Dust to Dust” and “The Color Within.”

The Intemperate Sons’ take on alternative rock is a dark and powerful concoction of hard rock mixed with folk and grunge concepts. The band has earned a serious reputation for writing and performing tracks that scratch deep into the backbone of the human experience. There is no shortage of darkness in their writing style, which has a retro vibe with many guitar-driven tracks stacked on top of a groovy rhythm section. The heavier style fits perfectly with the two and three-part vocal harmonies that are a huge part of their overall sound. It has been said that musicians that are related form unique sounds and communicate at a frequency only they can understand. This frequency has become engrained in their songwriting, arrangements, guitar melodies and vocal harmonies. The band has been compared to Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots and even R.E.M.

The Intemperate Sons are:

Max Watson (vocals, backing vocals, guitars, keys, bass)

Jake Watson (guitars, bass and backing vocals)

Keith Watson (drums, backing vocals)

Mark Marks (bass)

Molly D’Ago Releases New Single "Someone Just Like You"

Soaring music sensation Molly D'Ago is set to enchant audiences with her latest single, "Someone Just Like You." Written by Molly D'Ago and Myles Clayborne(Music), and Molly D'Ago and Alex Rhodes (Lyrics), the track promises a harmonious blend of soulful melodies and meaningful lyrics.

Producer Myles Clayborne and Executive Producer Pepper Gomez brought this musical masterpiece to life, ensuring a seamless fusion of sound that is bound to resonate with listeners. The impeccable vocal engineering is credited to Guido Falivene, while the mastering was expertly handled by Justin Shturtz of Sterling Sound.

"The song 'Someone Just Like You' explores the journey of transcending the mirroring tendencies of a narcissist. It conveys the realization that despite all of your efforts, pleasing them is simply impossible because of their own low self-esteem. The lyrics suggest that true happiness for such individuals lies in being with someone who shares similar qualities," says Molly.

The single is now available for streaming and download.

For the mixing and mastering, the band returned to Chris Clancy with assistance from Colin Richardson. The cover artwork required an image that captured the iconic battle of David versus Goliath theme that is echoed throughout the album while matching the power of the music. The band enlisted renowned Berlin metal illustrator Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE) to create the artwork which took the KATAKLYSM look and gave it a macabre filter that compliments the brooding sense of uneasiness that was felt during the writing and recording of the album.

Ian Munsick Highlights ‘Voices of the West’ in New Documentary, Available Now

When Ian Munsick moved to Nashville from Wyoming 12 years ago, he vowed to carry the influences of the West with him through Music Row. Now, Munsick is setting aside his fiddle and casting the spotlight on friends whose stories often go unheard with his documentary, White Buffalo: Voices of the West, available now on Apple iTunes, Apple, Google Play, Kanopy (Libraries), Microsoft, Vudu, YouTube Rentals and Amazon TVOD.

“Over a year of filming, editing, interviewing, planning, and capturing magic is finally ready for the world to see! I am beyond excited for you to watch ‘Voices of the West’ and experience all of the emotions that come along with it,” shares Munsick. “I hope it makes you fall in love with the west and all that it represents. Okay, stop reading this and GO WATCH!!!”

A film that The Tennessean noted is “essential to maintain and humanize the tie to Western culture,” Voices of the West features conversations with Pro Buckin’ Horse producer and entrepreneur from the Blackfoot Tribe, Dougie Hall; rancher, horse trainer and actor from the Crow Tribe, Stephen Yellowtail; and cowgirl from the Blackfeet Nation, Sammy Jo Bird.

The documentary compliments Munsick’s sophomore album White Buffalo – the concept of which was inspired by the sacred symbol for the plains tribes of Native America, where the return of the white buffalo is believed to bring prosperity and rebirth. Both the album and documentary serve as an important recognition of the modern-day relationship between cowboys, ranchers and Native American tribes, and how they often rely on each other to live off the land out west.

Munsick first premiered the documentary to an intimate crowd of 150 attendees on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Beverly Theater in Las Vegas during NFR. Following the screening, the cast was joined by Cam Mackey, director/cinematographer from the Tohono O'Odham Nation and executive producer Caroline Munsick, for a panel discussion moderated by film, television actor and enrolled member of the Lakota Nations, Mo Brings Plenty. The 30-minute conversation highlighted the importance of sharing Native and Western experiences from those who live them in order to shed an authentic light on the culture.

The event was sponsored by WranglerBoot BarnMusket Powder SeasoningBig Horn Bison RanchSouthern Recipe Small Batch Pork RindsSheridan Travel & TourismMontana SilversmithsLone River Beverage Company, and Pendleton Whisky.

Munsick released White Buffalo earlier this year, earning accolades from Billboard, American Songwriter, People, MusicRow and more. Grammy.com remarked, “Munsick's ability to turn his Western upbringing into relatable sentiments is the epitome of what makes him special… his passion for his homeland — from the culture to the people — rings through in both the lyrics and the musicality.”

ABOUT IAN MUNSICK:
A native son of Wyoming, Ian Munsick is painting a stampeding, spirited portrait of the American West with his sophomore album White Buffalo, out now. The 18-track album spans unfiltered tales of romance and ranch life, hard-working anthems with honkytonk hooks and mountain-time odes to family and forever-young fun. It builds upon the spacious roots-pop beauty he introduced on his major label debut, Coyote Cry. Over the past three years, the 30-year-old has accumulated over half a BILLION global streams and a host of accolades. He has been named an “Artist to Watch” by Spotify, CMT, Fender, MusicRow and more. A seasoned entertainer, having grown up tending cattle by day and playing music in a family band each night, Munsick toured recently alongside country music superstars Morgan Wallen and Cody Johnson, and will serve as direct support for select dates of Lainey Wilson’s Country’s Cool Again tour in 2024. Beyond his noteworthy professional accomplishments, he has also become both a husband and a father. Now the Warner Music Nashville recording artist and multi-instrumentalist is representing his home, and its special cast of people, like never before. The first release from White Buffalo, standout duet “Long Live Cowgirls” (with Cody Johnson), hit No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway Hot 30 Countdown, was named one of Amazon Music’s Best Country Songs of 2022 and recently received RIAA Gold-certification alongside “Long Haul” off his debut album Coyote Cry; while Munsick’s solo version of “Long Live Cowgirls” impacted country radio on Oct. 23. Fans of Ian Munsick will always find an open heart, natural awe and plainspoken honesty as he rides on… bringing the West to the rest.

Jordyn Shellhart and Charlie Worsham Team Up on "A Nice Thing To Do," Out Now

Warner Music Nashville singer/songwriter Jordyn Shellhart is starting 2024 on a positive note with ode to kindness, “A Nice Thing to Do” featuring Charlie Worsham. Listen to “A Nice This to Do”  below.

“I’ve looked up to Charlie since before he even released any solo music. He’s an absolutely world class artist,” shared Shellhart “And he’s taking me out on tour this year, which is the NICEST, nice thing to do. So having him on this song really is a dream come true.”

The airy and affirming track was written by Shellhart and Cameron Jaymes and produced by Jaymes. It finds the Wyoming native and her frequent collaborator ,Worsham, calling for a little kindness because it is always “a nice thing to do.”

You should be careful who you treat like that at a party
What if your castle ever crumbles under you?
You never know, someday they might be somebody
And if not it’s still not a nice thing to do

The new music follows a breakout 2023for Shellhart who was named a member of 2024’s CMT Listen Up Class following the release of her cozy Christmas EP, Cross-Legged By The Fireplace, and debut album, Primrose, which garnered critical acclaim on multiple year-end best of lists.

“‘Ethereal country-pop’ is the best way to describe the debut album from Jordyn Shellhart, who writes with vulnerability and potent detail on Primrose,” lauded Stereogum, naming the 12-track project one of the “Best Country Albums of 2023,” while noting it’s “a perfect album for those who dreamt of an acoustic twangier version of Midnights.”

“A collection that offers immense career promise,” boasted Billboard upon its release, with Country Now declaring it “a work of pure artistry that will take listeners on a unique musical journey,” while Nashville Lifestyles observes Shellhart “jumps the line of intriguing new songsmiths with her debut…evocative in style and voice.”

Next month Shellhart will hit the road with Worsham opening for a run of dates beginning Feb. 15, in Birmingham, AL. Known for her emotive storytelling and soulful melodies, “A Nice Thing to Do” is the first of new music to be released this year. For the latest news and upcoming tour dates visit, jordynshellhart.com and follow along @JordynShellhart on FacebookInstagramX and TikTok

About Jordyn Shellhart:
Like a coming-of-age novel chronicling the heroine's passage from childhood to womanhood, singer/songwriter Jordyn Shellhart's 12-track Primrose ventures from joyful to introspective, providing intimate yet vivid glimpses into the Wyoming-native's most formative moments and milestones. Although her first full album for Warner Music Nashville, its refinement and sophistication stems from more than a decade as a signed writer, earning cuts by Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, Cody Johnson and Don Williams. Whether asking "Who Are You Mad At," crooning over not the loss of a lover but of their mother in "Tell Your Mother I'm Fine" or the retrospective "Maybe Someday You'll Have A Daughter," Shellhart's Primrose is the first chapter in what is sure to be a storied career.

William Elliott Whitmore's "Silently, The Mind Breaks" Out Today + Watch Video for "Has to Be That Way"

Get the album here

Listen to the album here.

Whitmore has also shared the video for "Has to Be That Way." Watch it below.

"There are inevitabilities in life," Whitmore explains.  "All rivers flow to the sea, I will die, a full house beats a flush, and that's alright. I personally needed to accept that, move on, and maybe gain some perspective in the process. Writing songs like 'Has To Be That Way' helps me do that."

When asked what to expect from Silently, The Mind Breaks, Whitmore said, "Imagine a large expansive landscape. In the distance, you see what looks like a house. You walk for a long time, and as you get closer, it seems more and more like the house is abandoned. The front door is locked, so you go around the back and enter. Sunlight pours into the otherwise dark space, illuminating a staircase. You walk up, taking notice of a stillness in the air. There are several rooms, you enter the last one in the hallway. In the room, there is a closet. You open the closet and see an old chest of drawers. In the bottom drawer is an envelope. You open the envelope and inside there is a note. It says 'You are loved.' You are very tired, but you can't help but smile slightly. I hope this album is that for you."

Last month, Whitmore shared the video for album track "Break Even," putting his craftful dexterity on full display by taking us through the whole process of building a wooden foot stool from scratch. Yesterday, Whitmore announced a giveaway contest where one lucky fan will win the stool from the "Break Even" video.

Enter to win here.

Watch the video here.

Whitmore has already announced two legs of headline tour dates in February and in April, as well as a few one-off performances, with many more on the way in 2024. See all announced dates below. Tickets can be purchased here.

ABOUT WILLIAM ELLIOTT WHITMORE:
Born and raised on a small farm in Lee County, Iowa, a love of the land has always been an important part of William Elliott Whitmore's life. An appreciation for nature and its cycles being taught from an early age. That awareness of birth and death is a constant theme in the songwriting, through a lens of hopefulness and acceptance. These things unify us as people, a theme that is often explored in the music.

With a banjo, guitar and kick drum, Whitmore seeks to convey these ideas. For over 20 years, he has traveled the world, performing everywhere from Rome, Italy to Rome, Georgia. He's played basements, backyards, festival stages, and Carnegie Hall, and has no plans to stop anytime soon.

"Life is hard, nasty, and unforgiving at times," Whitmore says. "But it's beautiful, too, and music can be a reminder of what we all have in common, a desire to keep putting one foot in front of the other."

Randall King Enters Neon Era

Hereford, Texas native Randall King is embarking on a new sonic chapter as he ushers country music Into The Neon with his 18-track sophomore album, available today.

"We are officially in the Neon era baby,” proclaims King. “The TONK factor is on and set to 11!"

With inspiration drawn from the hues of neon that backlit his budding career – inclusive of the glowing skies in the plains of West Texas where he was raised and the radiant signs of the nearly 150 honky tonks he performs in each year – Into The Neon is a humble recollection of King’s experiences and observations.

“Sonically, this album represents a sound I’ve been honing in on for some time,” shares the west Texan of his 7-year journey. “Lyrically, the album’s a little bit of everything, just like life: heartbreak songs, two-steppers and love songs, all are mostly true stories of life along the way.”

Co-produced by King alongside Jared Conrad, his second full album for Warner Music Nashville incorporates a unique blend of the influences from icons and modern masters alike who have inspired King’s sound; inclusive of the timeless country twang of George Strait and Keith Whitley, and the blood pumping, Y2K-era rhythms of Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan.

Opening track “One Night Dance” kicks off the project with a spark, as the narrator shares a dance with a girl at the bar and is determined it won’t be their last. As the plot progresses, King traverses from toe-tapping waltzers “When My Baby’s In Boots” and “Tonk ‘Til I Die;” to the yearning lament on “I Could Be That Rain.

Laying it all on the line with songs that could just as easily be enjoyed while slow dancing under the starry night sky or while two-stepping at a local honky tonk, King simultaneously showcases a sense of maturity with introspective tracks “Hang of Hangin’ On” and “I Don’t Whiskey Anymore.”

King is currently on the road, with upcoming headlining shows in Springfield, MO; Baton Rouge, LA and more. For the full list of tour dates and more information, visit RandallKingMusic.com or follow @RandallKingBand across all social platforms.

About Randall King:
A West Texas native and self-described “old soul," Warner Music Nashville's Randall King has never wavered in his honky-tonk allegiance – in fact, he’s worn it like a badge of honor, growing with pride into a leading voice for today’s traditional country. Amassing over 300 Million streams with singles like “You In A Honky Tonk,” “Hey Cowgirl” and “Mirror, Mirror,” he’s kept the twang alive in country’s mainstream while also earning acclaim through deeply personal EPs like 2020’s Leanna, and his 2022 major label album debut, Shot Glass – which landed on both Whiskey Riff’s Top 40 Country Albums of 2022 and Billboard’s All Genre 50 Best Albums of 2022 (So Far). Schooled on icons like Keith Whitley, George Strait, Alan Jackson and John Anderson, but inspired by modern masters like Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan, King first built an independent, grass-roots following on the strength of his electrifying live shows – each one a harrowing mix of rowdy roughnecking, romantic tenderness and breathtaking emotion – never asking for permission to explore his creative vision. He has since gone on to headline all across the U.S., the U.K. and Europe, where he continues to play nearly 150 shows a year and hone his craft where it matters most. Named a Country Artist to Watch by everyone from Pandora and Country Now to Music Mayhem Magazine, his sophomore major label album Into the Neon, available now, takes that craft to the next level, as King’s neo-traditional roots meet the blood-pumping rhythms and sharp, arena-sized grooves of Y2K-era country and beyond. Co-produced by King and Jared Conrad, and featuring 18 tracks, punchy sounds exist side-by-side with timeless swagger, further blurring the line between yesteryear and today – even as King renews his forever-country vows.

Statement From Morgan Wallen

I’m writing y’all from a duck hunting trip because I want to fill you in on something happening tonight.

Back in 2014, I went to Florida to try my hand at making original music & songwriting for the first time. This led to a recording deal with a local investor & an artist management deal that I deeply regret. Unfortunately, I signed both deals without any legal representation.

We made 13 songs. Some were ok, most were terrible as I was just learning how to write in general & figuring it all out. I was not the only collaborator, so many of these songs were not my idea nor to my standards. We deemed 5 worthy-enough to make the Stand Alone EP which includes a fan-favorite, “Spin You Around.”

Tonight, those colleagues I parted ways with almost 10 years ago plan to release a “10th Anniversary” edition of Stand Alone against my wishes & include 8 unreleased songs, distributing it with the assistance of my former managers. For months I’ve been exploring every avenue possible to acquire the rights to this old music & keep the quality of my catalog consistent with songs I choose to release & believe in.

It’s gross, greedy & an example of how the dark side of the music business can suck the soul out of artists.

I want you to know this is NOT my new music & I don’t want to see this happen to anyone else. I cringe when I listen to these songs & I’m concerned my fans may mistakenly believe this is a new release by me. I begin recording my next project at the end of February. I’m feeling inspired creatively & super excited to make more music I’m proud of.

In response:
1. I re-recorded “Spin You Around (1/24)” this week in Nashville & it comes out TONIGHT.
Thank you Joey Moi & Bryan Sutton.  I did the artwork myself while in the woods duck hunting. Hope you like it, lol.

2. I am donating $100k from the Morgan Wallen Foundation to the Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals For The Arts (VLPA) program. I hope young aspiring musicians read this story & know they should never have to give up their creative freedoms for an opportunity in this business.

3. Trust me, when new music is ready, you’ll hear it directly from me.

HANABIE. Unleash New Music Video "OTAKU Lovely Densetsu" via Sony Music Japan

Trailblazing Harajuku-core sensation HANABIE. has today unleashed the official music video for "OTAKU Lovely Densetsu" (via Sony Music Japan). Speaking to themes about personal authenticity and embracing the love of anime and video games from Japanese culture, "OTAKU Lovely Densetsu" is the band's latest offering after releasing their cover of Imagine Dragons' runaway hit "Believer". When asked about today's release, vocalist Yukina commented:

"I wanted to write a song to express my gratitude to all the fans, staff, and bands that I met and played with on our world tour, and to express what I felt on the tour. One of the things I felt was "Japanese culture, such as anime and video games, is truly loved"! We love Japanese culture, but not only about Japanese culture, this is a chaotic and HARAJUKU CORE-like song that makes you think it’s cool to be faithful and straight up to what you like."

Guitarist and vocalist Matsuri exclaimed:

'OTAKU Lovely Densetsu' is a chaotic song that focuses on anime and games that are part of Japanese culture. You shine brightest when you’re into what you love and just being OTAKU. OTAKU is not just in Japan but also overseas too so be confident being OTAKU! This song is just freestyle and doing what we want, so please enjoy this HANABIE. world! Japan culture rocks!"

Bassist Hettsu shared:

"I think this song is about how OTAKU has become more commonplace since entering the 2021 era, and how everyone is addicted to something and has become an OTAKU! Well, most of all we ourselves are OTAKU! LOL Personally, please listen closely to the end of the intro falling into the outro where you can feel the skipping beat, it’s my favorite part. It's catchy with hectic changes, so listen to it a lot and get hooked⭐︎"

HANABIE. drummer Chika also commented:

"The intro drum phrase expresses a parallel world feel with the snare out of position! I was inspired while traveling overseas seeing drummers who added blast beats. I think I was able to put it in a good way in the second verse of this song! All OTAKU should continue to be proud and enthusiastic! If you are not OTAKU, I hope you will take this opportunity to step into the world of OTAKU! Thank you!!!!"

HANABIE. released their debut album 'Reborn Superstar!' which includes tracks such as "TOUSOU (Run Away)", "今年こそギャル ~初夏 ver.~ (Be The GAL~ Early Summer ver.~)", and their viral hit "お先に失礼します。(Pardon Me, I Have to Go Now.)". Stream "OTAKU Lovely Densetsu" here, watch the music video below and be sure to keep an eye out for more HANABIE. news coming soon.

2 Shadows Unleash Blistering New Track "Mad God"

Vancouver based metal band 2 Shadows are heading into the New Year in high gear with their blistering new track "Mad God'' on Rock Shop Records.  The song starts with a brief acoustic interlude before bludgeoning the listener with crushing down-tuned guitars and staccato snare sounds, underpinned by  thunderous bass drums and piercingly intense vocals.  The song laments how people blindly follow the rules to get ahead in life – often without ever really knowing why they are doing it.

2 Shadows Glen Bridden says “When Tryst and I wrote the song Mad God we were inspired by the Phil Tippett film with the same name. We were blown away by the apocalyptic dystopian setting and the delivery of the horror elements in the movie and it got us excited to try exploring those vibes musically. Our song “Mad God” ended up being the easiest and most fluid song to write and we didn't make many changes after the first demo.

He continues “When it came to the lyrics of the song I focused on the dissonance visible in everyday urban life, like how lonely you can feel in a densely populated area and how common it is for people to numb themselves with prescription drugs and the like.  It would seem people feel more comfortable ‘under an influence’ and that’s where the lyric “overdosed on sanity” comes from and where the dystopian horror begins to show itself and come full circle”.

2 Shadows are veteran road warriors and are planning a tour for later this year.   The band plans to release more new music in 2024.

About 2 Shadows:

2 Shadows has been together since 2015 and have been steadily honing their craft through continuous touring. They draw inspiration from legendary acts like Slipknot and Rammstein, while also being influenced by contemporary acts such as Motionless In White, Asking Alexandria, and Avenged Sevenfold.  2 Shadows have gained serious momentum over the last year by going viral on all social media platforms - especially TikTok, where they have over 390k followers, and on Facebook – where they have 320,000 followers.  The band has an impressive 100 Million content views across all their networks. 2 Shadows have amassed 5 million career audio streams and more than 2 million combined video views on Youtube.

VITRIOL Unleashes Unnerving Music Video for New Song, "He Will Fight Savagely," New Album Drops TODAY

The wait is over; death metal battalion VITRIOL's highly anticipated new album, 'Suffer & Become,' is now available worldwide via Century Media Records! In celebration, the band is now revealing an unnerving music video for the new single, "He Will Fight Savagely." In this clip, Vitriol embodies the album's concept of suffering, while turning that pain into pleasure by way of torturous suspension art. There were no special effects or camera tricks; the experience was authentic and genuine. The clip, which was creative directed by MM Fabrications and Mark Blanchard and shot and edited by Alexander Bemis, can be found below.

VITRIOL comments, "'Savagely' closes out 'Suffer' with an explosion of resolve and survival in the wake of navigating my lesser darkness during what could be described as a spiritual crisis. It is about championing actualization over tranquility, and welcoming the suffering of the aspiring overman. Father, I am with you now!"

For Portland, Oregon's VITRIOL, nothing comes easy. Nothing. The title of their second Century Media album, 'Suffer & Become,' says it all. "The title really sums it up," says guitarist and vocalist Kyle Rasmussen. "I pushed things to a point while making this album where it almost became untenable. Things that were supposed to be done in weeks took months. It wasn't easy, but I think it was suffering well spent."

At the core of 'Suffer & Become' lies a profound sense of extremity and unease. This very essence defines Vitriol as the vanguard in death metal's evolutionary path—a sonic landscape characterized by its profound darkness, density, and the infusion of nanotechnological precision interwoven with intense, seething emotions. Not easy listening in the slightest. Since forming in 2013, Rasmussen and longtime co-conspirator, bassist, and co-vocalist Adam Roethlisberger have worked with a single-minded vision: to push the genre to its breaking point and invent a new uncompromising paradigm in the process. VITRIOL is a masterclass in pain – and that's just their jumping-off point.

Recounting VITRIOL's initial journey into the outer fringes of extremity, Rasmussen is characteristically thoughtful. "I was starving for something that didn't pull any punches," says Kyle of VITRIOL's caustic mission statement, which detonated into the realm of extreme metal with 2013's 'Antichrist' demo. "Death metal was important to me because it speaks to an aggression, a frustration that I had when I was younger. It wasn't just a sonic connection but an emotional connection, which made music almost a means to an end. What I saw happening in extreme metal at the time was almost a removal of emotion in favor of musicality, that fire, that piss and vinegar spirit. Basically, I wanted something that wanted me dead."

With 2017's 'Pain Will Define Their Death' EP, VITRIOL took its spot as one of the underground's most uncompromising exponents, leading them to join forces with Century Media. The resultant album, 2019's "To Bathe from the Throat of Cowardice," was nothing short of a crucial next step for the band and the genre itself. Decibel Magazine said, "Vitriol leave no doubt they are one of the best the genre has to offer, with shades of Nile, Hate Eternal, and Anaal Nathrakh frequently peeking through." Hitting the road that year, at first in Europe with Nile and then in the US with Cattle Decapitation and Atheist, and then Vader before the onset of Covid, VITRIOL was quick to establish themselves as much of an uncompromising force onstage as they are on record.

"Doing 'Black Seeds of Vengeance' alongside Karl Sanders [of Nile] onstage in Europe on our very first tour was nothing short of a 'pinch me' moment," Kyle recounts from VITRIOL's early touring days. "More recently, we were touring with Morbid Angel, and Steve Tucker, who is my favorite Morbid Angel vocalist, came out of his dressing room in a VITRIOL t-shirt and exclaimed that we were one of his favorite new bands! That blew my mind as a fan, first and foremost – a total 'Holy Fuck!' moment."

'Suffer & Become' is nothing short of a benchmark for VITRIOL (rounded out by guitarist Daniel Martinez and Matt Kilner). It's as dense and blackened as anything to erupt from Rasmussen's vision of sonic disorder. From the onset of the opening track, "Shame and Its Afterbirth," there's a new sense of openness, grandeur, and occasional beauty in VITRIOL's aural arsenal. "I wanted to have an album that had a stark duality to it," says Kyle. "Very high highs and very low lows. We're very familiar with the lows but not so much with the triumphant highs. I wanted the album to have more of a sense of optimism to it, both lyrically and musically. I wanted the album to convey a sense of optimism that probably gets lost in the black maelstrom that is the first album."

Produced by Rasmussen and mixed by Dave Otero (Archspire, Cattle Decapitation), 'Suffer &

Become' isn't merely the sound of VITRIOL upping the ante in death metal's musical arms race; it is also the sound of salvation for its driving force. "Living in the world of that first album was very difficult for me," says Rasmussen. "It's not a nice place. It was very intentionally imbalanced in the same way a horror film is imbalanced. I wanted a healthier world for me to live in, and I believe I achieved that."

Not that the writing and recording of 'Suffer & Become' was anything short of soul-rending. Rasmussen labored over the creation of the album in the studio, on tour in hotel rooms, to the point of painstaking obsessiveness. Kyle is straightforward about the grueling record-making process and its personal impact. "The record feels a bit like a Jungian Dante's Inferno," he states. "Plumbing the circles of my personal, psychological, and spiritual hell and then purposely refocusing it so it's not the unhinged, dark catharsis of the first album. This record is a lot more vulnerable."

Songs like "Weaponized Loss" or "The Flowers of Sadism" are what Kyle describes as a "dark baptism" in comparison to the absolute darkness of "To Bathe…". The sound of VITRIOL remains as joyless and dark as ever, but with a glimmer of hope. VITRIOL has taken its trauma-put-to-sound approach to the next level and discovered a new sense of beauty in the blackness. 'Suffer & Become' is death metal with a bloody, beating heart.

Ghost Atlas (Feat. Jesse Cash of ERRA) Shares "Panorama Daydream" Video — New Album "Dust of the Human Shape" Out Now

Ghost Atlas, the melodic alt-rock side project from Jesse Cash of ERRA, will release the new album Dust of the Human Shape tomorrow, January 26, via UNFD. Get it here.

Today, the band has shared the video for the latest single, "Panorama Daydream." Watch it below.

It's an intimate clip, with Cash cradling his guitar while seated and the camera zeroing in on his hands as he plays and his face as he sings. It's almost as though he is performing for an audience of one and that's the viewer.

Ghost Atlas is an intensely personal project. Every conceptual part of the music, lyrics, and visuals is an intentional outpouring of Jesse’s mind. The twelve tracks across Dust Of The Human Shape illustrate the internal world of Jesse's fervor and ideology, while allowing the listener to find their own connective interpretation. The album is a culmination of art and tense human emotions, fuelled by a spectrum of life experiences.

ABOUT GHOST ATLAS:
Jesse Cash is what you might call an enigma. Though armed with a powerful melodic voice, utterly distinct in its emotion and gravitas, the singer, songwriter, and brainchild behind progressive metalcore pioneers ERRA and melodic alt-rock solo project Ghost Atlas is a reserved, laconic individual. It's not that Jesse Cash has nothing to say. Far from it, in fact; he simply prefers to pour heart, mind and soul into his art, and just one listen to Dust Of The Human Shape, the first Ghost Atlas full length since 2017's All Is In Sync, and There's Nothing Left To Sing About, will make you jubilant of that very fact.

An avid reader and lover of film and a diverse range of music, Jesse Cash weaves these artistic influences, his life experiences and inner landscape into textured musical tapestry that runs the gamut of human emotion. From the rousing, soaring sonics of album opener "Void Voyeur" and lead single "Lesser Gods" to the plaintive yet hopeful '90s Brit-rock-tinged nostalgia of "Gaps In The Armoire" and "Seeker (Stretch The Night),"  Dust Of The Human Shape illustrates the internal world of Jesse’s fervor and ideology. An intensely personal project, every conceptual part of Ghost Atlas' music, lyrics, and visuals is both an intentional outpouring of Jesse’s mind and a challenge to the listener to find their own connective interpretation. Just like Cash himself, Dust Of The Human Shape has a lot to give and a lot to say – you just have to know how to listen.

KMFDM Doing it Again? Not quite so – ‘AIRHEAD’ single previews new album and US tour dates

Hot on the heels of the release of KMFDM’s banger 'LET GO', the first single from their forthcoming album of the same name – set to be released on Metropolis Records on February 2 – comes their second single, 'AIRHEAD'.

Defying all common definitions and shredding all pre-conceived notions about who or what KMFDM is or isn’t genre-wise, on their second offering, the band delivers a unique gem that lyrically harkens back to growing up in America during the 70s and 80s. It'll have you reminiscing with a wink and a laugh as Lucia Cifarelli delivers the opening lines: "Born the year of the Chia pet - Blondes were in, but I’m brunette - Vietnam and Donkey Kong - I was busy getting high with Cheech & Chong.”

The accompanying video for 'AIRHEAD', directed and produced by 210 Media, is a sentimental joyride that takes you on a trip down memory lane through the eyes of a child from a bygone era of American life.

Rising up lean and mean, KMFDM icelebrates 40 years of conceptual continuity in grand style, 'LET GO' marking their 23rd studio album. The core lineup of Sascha “Käpt’n K” Konietzko, Lucia Cifarelli, Andy Selway and Andee Blacksugarpresent their signature onslaught of pulse-pounding rhythms, scorching electronics, blistering guitars, and vocals full of grit, growl and grind, addressing the social, political, and cultural ills of a world in perpetual turmoil.

From the driving techno, dance, and funk infused thrust of 'LET GO' to the airily melodic and swirling vibes of 'AIRHEAD' and 'TOUCH', the grooving revolutionary oratory and percolating spaghetti western guitar and glitch-laden synth leads of 'TURN THE LIGHT ON' to the sneering and seething riot grrl fury of 'WHEN THE BELL TOLLS', the sinister hip-hop injected 'NEXT MOVE', the downright cinematic and Teutonic electro of 'ERLKÖNIG', and the virulent dub warcry of 'WW 2023' – KMFDM continues to break down barriers and immerse audiences in a bold new reality.

Always stylistically diverse, KMFDM continues to bridge the gaps between genres, coalescing into what we know and love as the Ultra Heavy Beat!  Konietzko and Cifarelli prove as vicious a team as ever, equally sharing vocal and lyrical duties, with longtime associate MC Ocelot appearing to give 'NEXT MOVE' an extra touch of raucous rap energy. All the while, Blacksugar’s prowess on six-strings continues to awe and astound, backed by Selway’s dynamic drumming, meshing with Konietzko’s masterful programming.

Mixed and mastered by Benjamin Lawrenz (VNV Nation, Deep Purple, Saga, Mono Inc., Lord of the Lost), at Chameleon Recording Studios in Hamburg, 'LET GO' signals KMFDM’s 40th anniversary loudly and proudly, with Aidan “BRUTE” Hughes’ distinctive cover artwork mirroring the album’s breakneck power. After four decades, the Ultra Heavy Beat simply refuses to rest in pity and regret, raising a sharpened middle finger at a world in chaos.

As of January 26, the 'AIRHEAD' single will be available from fine music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. On February 2, the full 'LET GO' album will be released digitally, on CD and as a Limited Edition Vinyl double LP. Following this, they embark on a month-long US tour, for which tickets are already available for pre-order.

Atoll Unleash New Single "Autonomic Autosarcophagy" and Visualizer via Unique Leader Records

Extreme metal quintet Atoll has unleashed their unbelievably brutal new track "Autonomic Autosarcophagy" along with the official visualizer. The track can be found on the band's upcoming new album 'Inhuman Implants' set for release on February 23 (via Unique Leader Records). Before today, the band released "Berdella of Blood", the lead single from their forthcoming full-length. Speaking on today's release, the band commented:

"'Autonomic Autosarcophagy' is a descent into the abyss of our own primal urges, an exploration of the uncontrollable hunger that resides within. It's a sonic manifestation of the visceral struggle between self-preservation and the consuming desire to devour one's own flesh. In this auditory odyssey, we confront the raw, unbridled instincts that linger in the shadows of the human psyche. Brace yourselves for an unforgiving journey into the darkest corners of the mind, where the boundary between existence and self-destruction blurs into a symphony of unrelenting brutality."

The band is also offering their double-vinyl offering 'Human Extract & Inhuman Implants: The Double Penetration', also set for release on February 23. Pre-order 'Inhuman Implants' and double-vinyl here, stream "Autonomic Autosarcophagy" here, and watch the visualizer below.

Emerging from the scorched desert wasteland in 2014, the Phoenix, Arizona-based death metal quintet, Atoll, has been aggressively serving up their unique style for nearly the last decade. Brilliantly blending groove-based slamming brutal death with more traditional death metal elements, grind, and at times even a sprinkle of ‘core, funk, and thrash. Their composition favors a "riff piling" approach rather than the more common and simplistic verse-chorus-verse arrangement, giving the music something of a progressive element with very few repeated riffs, and less predictable movements. Atoll has remained a staple in the metal fest scene, and you may have caught them live playing with the likes of Skinless, Gorgasm, Ingested, and Aborted. Their love of the tour bus life and an importance placed on always having the highest quality, high-energy performances have gained them a reputation for being a consistent, unrelenting live force.

April 2014 birthed this bulbous abomination that has grown into the mighty Atoll when they conspired to create percussive, not frills, chugging brutality. The band immediately shot up in the local AZ scene and very quickly began to expand their live performances throughout the southwest United States, building up momentum for their 2016 debut album, and straight up slammer, The Gathering Swarm. Produced by the late Griffin “The Father” Kolinski (Knights Of The Abyss) and Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me) the album was quickly picked up and released by Amputated Vein subsidiary, Ghastly Music.

The initial success of their debut album caught the eye of Gorehouse Productions who went on to release the 2017 sophomore album, Fallout Frenzy. The vocals on this album show significant expanse in dynamic range, incorporating highs, mids, and some of the most nasty gutterals you’ll ever hear. Lyrically Fallout Frenzy expanded further on the origins of the band name, embracing themes of the atom bomb tests of Bikini Atoll in the 1950’s, and the subsequent radioactive fallout and mutations that occurred after the bombings.

The critically acclaimed album, Zoopocalypse is released in 2019 through Gorehouse Productions. This album is in-your-face aggression from front to back. A departure from the more rudimentary slams of their earlier works, Zoo implements more technicality, more tremolo and scaling, mathier leads, and a generally more advanced death metal sound that would represent the direction of the band moving forward. The mix/master was completed by Miguel Tereso of Demigod Recordings (Analepsy, Organectomy), and features a guest vocal spot from Matti Way (Disgorge, Abominable Putridity, Pathology)

During the global limbo of lockdown Atoll was able to strike a deal with the legendary Unique Leader Records, and in 2022 put out the Prepuce EP. The mini-release serves as a taster of things to come as Atoll has completed the production of two upcoming full-length albums, scheduled to drop through Unique Leader in 2023 and 2024. This two-part release will be the most technically ambitious to date. Keep your eyes peeled on the tour front, and ears open because, like an atomic tsunami, Atoll is primed to decimate the masses.

"That invisible wound that you see on someone keeps getting bigger and bigger. Powerless, you just watch while they deteriorate before you. The heart screams in silence when you descend. What the hell should you feel? This is our downfall."
