Randall King’s ‘Into the Neon’ 18-Track Album Arrives Jan. 26, 2024

Raised on the plains of West Texas, Randall King honed his craft with countless nights spent strumming his guitar under the expansive skies, backlit by the stars’ neon glow. Flash forward to today, and King’s road warrior diet finds him revitalizing Country’s neo-traditional sound under a different kind of neon – the radiant glow from the signs of nearly 150 honky tonks he performs in across the country each year.

It’s this inspiration of nature and the humble establishments that have nurtured country music’s blue collar roots since its foundation that inspired King to usher people
Into the Neon – to a place where rowdy roughnecking, romantic tenderness and breathtaking emotion are all welcome – with his 18-track sophomore album, due Jan. 26, 2024 via Warner Music Nashville.

“You grow wiser with age, you grow wiser while you’re working and experiencing life, and I feel like I have a deeper understanding of what my music really is,” King reflects of the growth he’s experienced since his 2022 release, Shot Glass. “We're moving into the neon era of country music. The pendulum is swinging, and you’re watching it happen… Now I just hope people get their mind blown.”

Co-produced by King alongside Jared Conrad, the project incorporates a unique blend of the influences from icons and modern masters alike who have inspired King’s sound; inclusive of the timeless ‘80s country twang of George Strait and Keith Whitley, and the blood pumping, Y2K-era rhythms of Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan.

Showcasing his ability to traverse from a toe-tapping waltzer with “When My Baby’s In Boots” to the yearning lament of “I Could Be That Rain,” King lays it all on the line with songs that could just as easily be enjoyed while slow dancing under the starry night sky or while line dancing at a local honky tonk. With the release of “
Hang Of Hangin’ On,” available now, King finds himself graciously holding close to the girl he loves despite keeping “a goodbye up his sleeve” in the past.

“Think I’m getting the hang of hangin’ all this music out there,” King laughs. “I sure loved this song from the first time I heard it. Go spin your lady to this one y’all!”

Despite being in the studio recording new music in 2023, King has stayed busy on the road, recently returning from his first-ever European tour in September,
Neon Overseas, with a set of 11 shows, including sold-out stops in Cologne, Germany; London England and more. As the year winds down, King will support Jon Pardi and Ian Munsick on select tour dates, while continuing to headline stops in Paso Robles, CA; Reno, NV; Salt Lake City, UT and more.

King’s 3rd Annual KingFest in Luckenbach, TX will take place on Nov. 11 with Gary P. Nunn, Jon Stork and Braxton Keith at the helm for support. For upcoming tour dates and more information, visit

About Randall King:
A West Texas native and self-described “old soul," Warner Music Nashville's Randall King has never wavered in his honky-tonk allegiance – in fact, he’s worn it like a badge of honor, growing with pride into a leading voice for today’s traditional country. Amassing over 270 Million streams with singles like “You In A Honky Tonk,” “Hey Cowgirl” and “Mirror, Mirror,” he’s kept the twang alive in country’s mainstream while also earning acclaim through deeply personal EPs like 2020’s Leanna, and his 2022 major label album debut, Shot Glass – which landed on both Whiskey Riff’s Top 40 Country Albums of 2022 and Billboard’s All Genre 50 Best Albums of 2022 (So Far). Schooled on icons like Keith Whitley, George Strait, Alan Jackson and John Anderson, but inspired by modern masters like Dierks Bentley and Gary Allan, King first built an independent, grass-roots following on the strength of his electrifying live shows – each one a harrowing mix of rowdy roughnecking, romantic tenderness and breathtaking emotion – never asking for permission to explore his creative vision. He has since gone on to headline all across the U.S., the U.K. and Europe, where he continues to play nearly 150 shows a year and hone his craft where it matters most. Named a Country Artist to Watch by everyone from Pandora and Country Now to Music Mayhem Magazine, his sophomore major label album Into the Neon takes that craft to the next level on January 26, as King’s neo-traditional roots meet the blood-pumping rhythms and sharp, arena-sized grooves of Y2K-era country and beyond. Co-produced by King and Jared Conrad, and featuring 18 tracks, punchy sounds exist side-by-side with timeless swagger, further blurring the line between yesteryear and today – even as King renews his forever-country vows.

About FUMING MOUTH:

A fiery, resurrected rage barrels its way out of hell’s erupting chasms with blistering fury; Fuming Mouth has returned. Lead singer, guitarist, and founder Mark Whelan emerges triumphant after a life-threatening battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, rekindling the inferno of their music with Fuming Mouth's second full-length album, Last Day of Sun.

What initially began as a full-on, fictional concept album underwent a profound transformation into a concept-reality hybrid, largely influenced by Whelan's harrowing conflict with his health and anear brush with death. Just three weeks away from recording the album, Whelan was struck with a devastating cancer diagnosis. While bravely fighting the illness, he rewrote melodies, drum sections, and lyrics, infusing the music with his personal journey of struggle and hope.

The recording sessions began in October 2022, with Grammy Award winning Kurt Ballou of Converge at his studio, God City, in Salem, Massachusetts. Ballou reached out to Whelan after his battle with cancer and encouraged him to get back to their previously scheduled recording session. Working closely with Ballou in both engineering and production, the band found a wonderful and collaborative experience, as Ballou invested himself wholeheartedly in shaping their sound and vision. Salem itself also helped shape the album, as the Halloween Season had begun. Droves of tourists and residents mixing with people in costume made the streets of Salem seem like Last Day of Sun had come to life. The city where the Witch Trials took place presented the perfect setting for the album to be recorded.

At the genesis of this record, there was no other artist that could have captured the album's essence better than Mariusz Lewandowski, with whom the band had already established a creative relationship through his work on the cover art of The Grand Descent. Tragically, Mariusz passed away while working on the album artwork, presenting the band with an immense obstacle to overcome. In tribute to his spirit and legacy, they joined forces with the talented artist Stefan Todorovic who crafted an evocative album cover depicting a Faustian city crumbling amidst the gray and sandy storms of the apocalypse. A colossal monster blocks the sun and hovers above the city as it burns, smoky buildings topple to the ground; all a visual representation of the chaos and darkness that permeates the album.

Fuming Mouth stands resilient, a testament to the indomitable human spirit. Amidst the carnage and depression lies a flicker of hope - a beacon of light that emanates from within. But as the last rays of the sun cast their shadow, the question remains. Will the people in Last Day of Sun survive? Will their worst inhibitions play out, will they rip each other to shreds, will they give up? Will everything they’ve built have been for not? Will they find a way to overcome, or will their panic lead to failure?

ALT-POP ARTIST, DELA KAY RELEASES “LET YOU DOWN” A Soundtrack to Vulnerability and Self-Discovery

Alt-Pop artist, Dela Kay, is back with a heartfelt and emotionally charged single, "Let You Down." This release marks a significant milestone for Dela Kay, as it showcases her vulnerability and genuine storytelling abilities, offering listeners a glimpse into her personal journey and the complexities of modern dating. "Let You Down" is a unique collaboration between Dela Kay and producer Stefano Pigliapoco, who had initially crafted the instrumental foundation causing the creative sparks to fly upon meeting. The songwriting process began with Dela Kay imagining the perspective of the other person in a relationship,

which gradually evolved into a reflection of her own feelings – a poignant exploration of trust, vulnerability, and the fear of self-sabotage.

Inspired by artists such as The Maine, Maggie Lindemann, Paramore, and Avril Lavigne, Dela Kay is continuing to lean into her Alternative roots with the release of "Let You Down." Having always considered herself a songwriter first, Dela Kay feels this era of her career is her most authentic to date, as she gears up to release a string of singles through 2024. Her upbringing in Nashville, TN has instilled in her the art of storytelling, which shines through in her lyrics and melodies. “I hope to make a lasting impression, making my artistic mark with authenticity and edginess. I think women have a voice and I intend to use mine and don’t plan on stopping until I have everyone’s attention” Dela Kay passionately expresses.

MORE INFO:
Hailing from Nashville, TN, music was always a big part of the household for Dela Kay. Seeing the emotional connection a personal song could make fueled her desire to write and to be a storyteller. She studied musical theater at The Chicago College of Performing Arts at the Theatre Conservatory of Roosevelt University, where she grew creatively in many ways, but ultimately felt a strong call back to her roots of songwriting. “I will always love life in the theater. But there is something so much more satisfying to me when I create something uniquely mine, from my heart, using my own words and music. I draw from the scars of broken relationships just as easily as the joy and celebration of being young and free.”

In 2014, her electro-pop style began to emerge through a collaboration with Grammy-winning singer/songwriter and producer, Femke Weidema; which eventually led to her first electro-pop/European-infused single release, “9 out of 10,” as Dela Kay in 2016. Named by Earmilk as an artist who was gifted “with a rich, distinctive vocal style” for her 2018 release of “Make You Mine,” Dela Kay went on to continue releasing singles and garnering hundreds of thousands of streams. In 2019 Dela Kay released “All My Love” through Sony Music, which ended up charting 49 on the top 150 global artist charts for Digital Radio Tracker as well as in the top ten for the Top Independent Charts. The release of “Think About You” shortly followed, which ended up becoming Dela’s highest-streamed song to date with almost 800k streams and counting. After a brief hiatus, Dela Kay marked her return by debuting a new, more alternative sound in 2021 with the release of “The Worst Part,” via Wonderland Magazine.

Encouraged by the positive feedback, Dela Kay delved deeper into this new sound with the release of "Old News," a collaboration with Ryan Dulude and Rikki Jo Randall. Closing out 2022, Dela Kay touched hearts with "Daughter," a poignant song dedicated to her father. This track marked a departure from her usual upbeat style, embracing a more folk-driven alternative sound, rich in vulnerability and cinematic storytelling. Now in 2023, Dela Kay's dedicated fan base can anticipate a wave of fresh content, with more songs and surprises awaiting them in the coming year. Looking ahead to 2024, Dela Kay plans to embark on a West

Coast tour in the spring and summer, bringing her music and unique brand of storytelling to audiences far and wide.

"Unfortunately, I’ve found myself in relationships that have fallen apart due to unfaithfulness. And dissipate is a song about the personal traumas I’ve experienced because of it. Paranoia, anxiety and trust issues are all things that I have battled while trying to maintain a healthy relationship after those situations, and this song was almost like a desperate plea to myself to learn how to love with confidence again."

Regarding their album announcement, Trevor continues:

"Lyrically, What if I Break is a very introspective album. I wrote about very real experiences in my life these past few years. This album touches on love and death, connections with others as well as connections with myself. And the pressures that I felt trying to maintain those connections while chasing a dream I’ve had since childhood. These songs are on the verge of being uncomfortably honest, and I couldn’t imagine doing it any other way."

This latest single, "Dissipate" serves as tantalizing glimpses into Wind Walkers' forthcoming album, showcasing their penchant for pushing artistic boundaries. It skillfully intertwine intricate melodies, evocative lyrics, and a rich tapestry of emotions. They continue to encapsulates the band's ability to transcend genres and resonate deeply with their audience.

With their daring approach, Wind Walkers effortlessly blend the commanding force of modern metal with the irresistible charisma of pop, crafting a sound that is both emotionally charged and undeniably catchy. CHAYCE BECKHAM MAKES GRAND OLE OPRY DEBUT

Solo-Written Hit Single “23” Earns RIAA-Platinum Status,
Surges toward Top 15 at Country Radio

Photo Credit: © Grand Ole Opry, photos by Chris Hollo

Vocal powerhouse, prolific songwriter and American Idol winner Chayce Beckham made his Grand Ole Opry debut last night (10/18), performing his now RIAA-certified PLATINUM single “23” that's entirely self written and currently Top 20 at radio, along with the tender ballad “Till The Day I Die” to a packed-out audience. After his performance, Beckham was then surprised on stage with the song's platinum plaque by his mom, Windie Peterson, and manager, Kerri Edwards.

"Last night, so many dreams came true because of music," said Beckham. "It’s been a long, long road, and I’d like to thank everyone who has been on it with me. It’s hard not to be emotional when something you have been working so hard at comes to fruition, and the people who got you there can hand you the award for it on the biggest stage in Country music. Because of my family, my team, and my fans, I got to step foot into the Circle and sing at the Grand Ole Opry. From the bottom of my heart, thank you."

News!, Billboard, People, CMT, PopCulture, American Songwriter, Sweety High and more. The first to ever win the competition show with an original song, his semi-autobiographical, self-written track “23” instantly shot to the top of numerous viral charts. Currently surging toward Top 15 at Country radio, Beckham’s “23” resonated so deeply with fans that it is now RIAA-certified PLATINUM and has continuously banked over 1 million on-demand streams per week since its 2021 release, amassing over 330 million thus far. Recognized as one of 10 new Country artists “destined for killer careers” (Country Swag) and the “Next Big Thing” by MusicRow, the “full-fledged Country star” (CMT) just released the whiskey-soaked ballad “Till The Day I Die” and the heart-pulsing “Little Less Lonely,” continuing his rise as “one of the best new country artists to watch out for” (PopCulture).

SOUTHERN FESTIVAL OF BOOKS 10/21 @ Nashville Public Library

“No music writer alive could be better equipped to edit this volume
” – Salvation South
“Book of the Month”  Americana Highways

Having kicked off PRINE ON PRINE: Interviews & Encounters with a discussion with Grammy winner Steve Earle in the Rare Book Room of NYC’s legendary Strand Books, editor/contributor Holly Gleason heads to the Southern Festival of Books this Saturday, Oct. 21 for a panel with longtime Chicago Sun-Times critic Dave Hoekstra and  former Nashville Banner critic/Nashville Scene contributor Michael McCall. The panel takes place at 4 pm in the Obion Room at Nashville’s Public Library.

PRINE ON PRINE: Interviews & Encounters has struck a chord across America. Beyond the initial wave of media, including a three page cover story in The Tennessean’s Sunday Features section the week of release, the collection of newspaper and magazine features, tv appearances, award presentations, film scripts, recipes and an evening at the Library of Congress has been difficult to find in independent bookstores. With its initial printing being sold out almost before it arrived, fans of the Grammy, Songwriter and soon-to-be “Austin City Limits” Hall of Fame inductee can be assured a copy of the book following the panel.

“People don’t realize what a passion person John Prine is,” Gleason marvels of the initial response, “until all the books are gone, people are being told they have no idea when they may be able to have books in stock. But for those of us who know and love these songs, it’s no surprise. And part of why this book felt important to do is the way it allows John to exists as he was in every stage and moment of his career. Context in looking back, but it’s the real time perspective from  some of the greatest writers who’ve covered music and culture that made this an important work...

“Dave Hoekstra, who’s coming in from Chicago, contributes three exceptional pieces. One from the incredible independent music monthly Illinois Entertainer deals with John’s friendship with Steve Goodman and the Chicago folk scene that spawned them, while his Sun-Times pieces tackle John’s move to Nashville and then returning to Chicago as the uber-successful Grammy-winner playing a benefit for Prine’s alma mater Proviso High School in Maywood, Illinois.

“Michael McCall, who’s now at the Country Music Hall of Fame, contributes a cover story from the Nashville Scene that checks in with John as his Oh Boy has proven important artists can create and flourish on their own label at a time when it just wasn’t done. But even more importantly, Michael measures what having his family life come together with Fiona and their beautiful boys meant to him.”

Praise has continued pouring in. Chicago Tribune legend Rick Kogan offered, “In this book you get the man, in all his charming, introspective, self-deprecating and inspiring facets. It can serve as a biography, with the details of signposts and bumps on Prine’s road to fame.” The Los Angeles Times deemed it, “moving and insightful,” HITSDailyDouble.com headlined, “Gleason’s Prine Tome Digs Deep” and entertainment bible VARIETY declared, “to love and know Prine is to spend a lot of hours in his presence via Gleason’s essential compendium, which finds his observational candor, fierce, intelligence and genial warmth to be unwavering.”

“Whimsical, romantic, literary, simple, retrospective, forward-looking, all absolutely John Prine” PASTE opined, while Garden & Gun assessed, “the most concise record of Prine’s life in his own words that we have” and No Depression offered “PRINE ON PRINE brings John Prine to life in ways no single biography could ever do.” Even the international Globe & Mail raved, “the closest thing we will ever get to an autobiography of a genius wordsmith” in a wrap up of 12 Music Books This Fall that included Barbra Streisand and Britney Spears.

John Prine has come to be revered as Americana’s premiere songwriter/artist. With a strong empathy for the human condition, the Chicago-born and -raised daydreamer went on to become a voice who spoke for the unseen and an artist who gave gravitas to those society didn’t bother with. PRINE ON PRINE: Interviews & Encounters traces the man whose songs have been recorded by Bonnie Raitt, George Strait, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Loretta Lynn, Bettye LaVette, Miranda Lambert, Carly Simon, Susan Tedeschi, Johnny Cash and more across his five decade career was a labor of love for Gleason.

“One of the best pieces of this book has been bringing together people who have such vibrant memories and experiences with John. So many memories, so much life are contained in the book and the conversations... and these panels are a way to share not just the research that went PRINE ON PRINE, but the fellowship that John fostered among those reporters, critics, and fellow artists, who make up the list of contributors. Every event has been an opportunity to take this book and go even deeper. I can’t wait for Saturday with Dave and Michael at the Nashville Library. The Southern Festival of Books rocks; I think John would be glad we’re part of it.”

Having created, edited and contributed to Woman, Walk The Line, the 2018 Belmont Book Award winning collection of essays about how female country artists profoundly impact individual lives with contributions from Taylor Swift, New York Times best-selling author Alice Randall, Rosanne Cash, Grammy-winning historian Holly George-Warren, poet Caroline Randall Williams, top James Beard Award winner Ronni Lundy, food activist Ali Berlow and more, Gleason understands curating a narrative can sometimes reach places a single reported narrative can’t. That was the goal for PRINE ON PRINE, and across myriad mediums, moments and conversations, a sense of the man across his truly lived life emerges.

Early Praise for PRINE ON PRINE: Interviews & Encounters:
As close to an autobiography as we’re going to get from John Prine, Prine On Prine captures the inimitable, whimsical voice of one of our greatest songwriters, from the beginning of his career to his final days, evolving from the shy, self-effacing, uncertain youngster film critic Roger Ebert discovered to the wise, cunning veteran who left a body of work probably second only to Dylan. Nashville legend Holly Gleason knew the man and assembled this brilliant collection with a knowing eye and loving heart.
            – Joel Selvin, Here Comes The Night: The Dark Soul of Bert Berns and the Dirty Business of Rhythm + Blues; Fare The Well: The Final Chapter of the Grateful Dead’s Long Strange Trip

I’m so grateful that Holly has put together this fantastic collection of the best interviews and articles about our beloved John Prine, spanning the whole six decades of his extraordinary career. For all of us who loves and miss him so, this book is truly a treasured gift.
            – Bonnie Raitt

Holly has created a beautiful collage by using John’s words to bring us into the center of his world where family music imagination and love reside with his struggle to remain that kid from Maywood whose curiosity birthed the beautiful songs and music he gifted to the world.
            – Fiona Prine

So much insight and so many great personal stories behind this legendary, super talent. If you’re a John Prine fan, you’re going to love this book. If you’re not, please read it and listen to his music. You will then no doubt be one.
            – George Strait

Listening to John Prine instantly jolts me to a higher vibration and feels like I’m walking on holy ground, free, fearless and naked as the eyes of a clown. He shakes me, wakes me, conjuring up emotions I didn’t know I had, reminding me that tenderness is a virtue. His words make me want to be a better person, to recognize myself in everyone’s eyes, to hold all humanity in high esteem - because we’re all in it together.
Praise be to Holly Gleason for this oh so important, exquisitely curated collection. John Prine improved the world by being alive. Let’s do our best keep that big, beautiful ball rolling.
            – Pamela Des Barres, I’m With The Band and Lets Spend The Night Together

The brilliant genius of John Prine was not only the magic he had in writing  about everyday life for everyday people; but just as important was that his lyrics provoked you into thinking about everyday things that you may never have given much thought to and after he woke up those feelings, you realized you couldn’t have said it any better. The respect, admiration and love for Prine and his songs that Holly Gleason has is obvious not only in her eloquent introduction, but in the interviews she selected to pay proper homage to him.
            – Linda Moran, President & CEO, Songwriters Hall Of Fame

Nobody wrote songs like John Prine, filled with humor, humanity, and perfectly cock-eyed detail. But what this elegantly curated collection—culled from interviews, TV and radio appearances, and even recipes—reveals is that...well, that’s just who the guy was. Whether he’s at the Library of Congress or in the pages of Hot Rod magazine, Prine’s wit and fierce independence constantly shine through.
            – Alan Light, The Holy or the Broken: Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley &the Unlikely Ascent of “Hallelujah”

I’ve loved John Prine since I was a little girl. PRINE ON PRINE makes me feel like he’s been talking to me since he was a young man, and seeing him go through the phases of  his career is a real gift. Holly Gleason knew John, so she understood how to take these interviews, movie scripts, tv shows and recipes and create a sense of who he was when he got done writing or performing. Now even more than a legend, he feels like a favorite uncle.
            – Miranda Lambert

With a deep understanding and knowledge of John Prine – the man and his music – Holly Gleason has searched every nook and cranny to curate a thoughtful biography of one of our greatest singer-songwriters. Her insightful text sets the scene as we experience Prine, the unfiltered raconteur, via five decades of media coverage, from major magazines to niche publications, television scripts to a recipe book, talk show appearances, movie roles and his PEN Award presentation. Prine on Prine is both revelatory and entertaining.
            – Holly George-Warren, Janis: Her Life & Music and A Man Called Destruction: The Life & Music of Alex Chilton

Reality can involve a lot of imagination, and no one was better at imagining and painting real pictures about people you felt you knew.  I enjoyed getting to know John more through Holly’s curation and writing.  A true master.
            – Eric Church

This book is a stunner! Only the glorious Holly Gleason could assemble such a magnificent collection to celebrate the life and world-changing artistry of her friend John Prine. Perhaps the most joyful history book you’ll ever read. His music explodes from the pages.

Jonas Group Entertainment Launches Red Van Records w/ Flagship Artist Levi Hummon

Jonas Group Entertainment and founder Kevin Jonas Sr. announce the launch of Red Van Records. Under the leadership of JGE CEO, Phil Guerini, the label will operate out of the JGE offices on Music Row in Nashville, TN. Red Van Records is proud to announce the signing of their first artist with acclaimed writer and singer, Nashville native, Levi Hummon.

The namesake for the label came from the red van that the Jonas family originally toured the country in. “I can’t begin to guess how many hours and miles we logged driving the guys around the country in that van, but it represents the commitment you make to be in the music industry,” said Jonas Sr.  “We were always building and in motion and that’s the philosophy of Red Van Records.”

While not part of Red Van Records, eldest Jonas Brother Kevin was recently reminiscing about the van and those early days with People Magazine saying, “That was our baby; we spent thousands of hours in there. We turned one of the rows of seats around in the back of the van to face each other and play card games and hang out on the long drives. Lots of fond memories about those days.”

The label’s first signing is multi-talented musician Levi Hummon who will release his first Red Van Records’ song, “Paying For It” with Walker Hayes on Oct. 27. “With the values and ideals that are the foundation of Red Van Records, Levi is the perfect artist to launch our label,” said Guerini. “He is so well respected in the music community as a complete artist, and he has been tireless in his pursuit of music and taking it to the fans on the road. It’s the unrelenting pace and ‘firsts’ of the early days that may seem small at the time, but like the red van, they are the start of something truly special.”

Label services for Red Van Records will be provided by Dan Pearson’s Lakeside Entertainment Group. With more than twenty years of both independent and major label experience, the Lakeside team has broken a wide range of artists across multiple formats and platforms.

Spanish Thrashers ANGELUS APATRIDA Releases New Song "Scavenger," New Album 'Aftermath' Out TODAY

'Aftermath' is now streaming everywhere via Century Media Records!

The album features guest appearances from heavyweights such as Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed), guitarist Pablo García (Warcry), singer Todd La Torre (Queensrÿche) and rapper Sho-Hai.

Spanish thrash metal masters ANGELUS APATRIDA are now celebrating the release of their monstrous new album, 'Aftermath,' which hit the streets today via Century Media Records! To commemorate the big day, the band is now blessing fans with a lyric video for the new single, "Scavenger," which can be found below.

ANGELUS APATRIDA vocalist/guitarist Guillermo Izquierdo comments on the single, “

'Aftermath' follows Angelus Apatrida's 2021 eponymous full-length, which topped the official album charts in Spain at # 1! The release also debuted in Germany at # 49 and Switzerland at # 41.

'Aftermath' features a diverse cast of guest appearances by vocalist Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed), guitarist Pablo García (Warcry), singer Todd La Torre (Queensrÿche) and rapper Sho-Hai. The album was once again self-produced by the band, with recordings handled by Juanan López at Baboon Records in Albacete, Spain and mixing and mastering by Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Overkill, Hatebreed, Municipal Waste, Shadows Fall) at Planet-Z in Wilbraham, MA, USA.)

'Aftermath' can be streamed, downloaded, and ordered HERE.

“Aftermath” will be available in as Ltd. CD Jewelcase in O-Card packaging for its first pressing and Digital Album with two fresh live bonus tracks (11. Indoctrinate (Live in Bilbao 2023) and 12. Give ‘Em War (Live in Barcelona 2023)), or as 180g vinyl LP in the following variants: Ltd. transp. red LP (300x copies from cmdistro and various other retailers), Ltd. transp. orange LP (600x copies from amazon.es & Angelus Apatrida), Ltd. translucent tan colored LP (500x copies from all US outlets) and as Black LP.

Previously, Angelus Apatrida released a documentary that was directed by Mike Casey, entitled '28 Months Later: A Post-Apocalyptic Metal Documentary.' The film detailed the band's journey from preparing for 2021's self-titled opus leading towards the creation of 'Aftermath.' The clip can be seen HERE.

The band will also be appearing at several prestigious European festivals throughout the summer before heading on a European tour in support of 'Aftermath' together with Death Angel and Sacred Reich in October/November! The run will be followed by a string of

dates in Spain between November and February. The full itinerary and ticket links can be found HERE.

The world has taken a battering over the last few years, but ANGELUS APATRIDA is leading the fightback.

Spain’s greatest ever exponents of forward-thinking thrash metal began their campaign at the turn of the century and have been a consistent force for heavy music ever since. From their ferocious 2006 debut album 'Evil Unleashed' and 2010’s widely acclaimed 'Clockwork' (the band’s first for Century Media), to more recent triumphs like 2018’s 'Cabaret de la Guillotine,' ANGELUS APATRIDA has become increasingly unstoppable. In 2023, they will release 'Aftermath,' a vicious and vital response to the chaos we see all around us.

With touring plans for 2020 cancelled, ANGELUS APATRIDA simply switched focus to the creative process. The result was 'Angelus Apatrida,' a self-titled record that sought to redefine its creators’ era-blending sound, with renewed intensity and uproarious lyrical sensibilities that dug deep into the realities of the modern world. Climbing to the top of the official album charts in Spain at # 1 as well as marking the band’s first ever chart entries in Germany at # 49 and Switzerland at # 41 upon release in 2021, the album showcased a band at the peak of their powers. Understandably, ANGELUS APATRIDA were absolutely itching to get back on the road, which they eventually did with a vengeance.

“We started doing some shows trying to keep things going until the summer of 2021, and then at the end of the year we were able to do some important venues and festivals,” recalls guitarist/vocalist Guillermo Izquierdo. “We spent 2022 and 2023 touring, mostly in Europe and North America. We’ve played Hellfest, Graspop, Dynamo, Resurrection Fest, Rock Fest and Leyendas del Rock, and we did our first headlining tour in the U.S. and Canada. In February 2023 we did the last four dates of the tour in Spain with four total sell outs!”

Clearly one of the hardest-working bands in metal, ANGELUS APATRIDA were not content with simply returning to the live arena. Even as they toured, work on their next album began. Pre-production for 'Aftermath' was finished in March 2023, and the band swiftly hit the studio in their hometown of Albacete, once again collaborating with trusted live and studio engineer Juanan López on the capturing of these new metal explosions. The finished tracks were then sent to the legendary Zeuss (Rob Zombie/Overkill/Hatebreed) at Planet-Z in Wilbraham, Massachusetts and polished to a devastating sheen. The results speak for themselves: 'Aftermath' is titanium-plated modern thrash of the highest order.

“Every time we sit down and write new music, we try to do the best we can and to put all the new things and experiences we had over the last few years into the mix,” says Guillermo. “The new songs are pure ANGELUS APATRIDA. They’ve got every single essence of the band. There are many songs containing more personal feelings than on previous records. We’re going deep into our souls and feelings sometimes. Since we are living strange, difficult and dark times, we liked the concept of an aftermath. After everything that has happened since 2020 and is still happening in the world, in our society, and in our lives, a lot of strong feelings have come through in the music and lyrics.”

'Aftermath' is undoubtedly the most heartfelt and powerful record in ANGELUS APATRIDA’s illustrious history, but it’s also one of the heaviest and most direct. From the neck-wrecking adrenaline rush of opener "Scavenger" to the dark might of the closing "Vultures And Butterflies," the Spanish quartet’s eighth studio record displays the songwriting muscle and playing prowess of bands like Metallica, Testament and Pantera, while still delivering a huge, jolting dose of ANGELUS APATRIDA’s distinctive trademark attack.

“We can describe 'Aftermath' as what metal means to us,” Guillermo says. “It contains the best songs we've ever written. It is just very difficult to pick just one or two highlights on this album since every single track could be a single itself.”

Confirming their sturdy reputation in the global metal scene, ANGELUS APATRIDA invited some heavyweight figures to add their talents to 'Aftermath.' Hatebreed’s iconic frontman Jamey Jasta lends his caustic bark to "Snob," while Queensrÿche vocalist Todd La Torre lends his spectacular tones to "Vultures And Butterflies." Elsewhere, Pablo Garcia, guitarist with Spanish power metal legends Warcry, displays his virtuosity on the incendiary "Fire Eyes," and Spanish rap star Sho-Hai brings the noise on the brooding "What Kills Us All. "

With no need to regain momentum, ANGELUS APATRIDA is more ready than most to let rip again in 2023. 'Aftermath' marks a pinnacle in this band’s determined and always fruitful career. It’s a defiant, uplifting and resolutely metal-as-fuck response to an era defined by chaos and fear. It’s the sound of ANGELUS APATRIDA, doing what they do, but bigger, better, louder and with more passion than ever.

“As soon as the album is released, we are starting a huge live campaign,” adds Guillermo. “We start with a big European tour that will cover most of the mainland and the U.K., and we are already working on getting back to Oceania and Asia, Latin America and making our return to the United States and Canada during the first half of 2024. Expect a great live festival season for summer 2024 and more tours! We’re coming!”

Today, the band has shared their video for "
Fired Up." Watch it below.

The song's layered, full melodies and tongue-in-cheek lyrics are the perfect mid-day pick-me-up — it's the sonic serotonin boost you need when the clock is about to strike 2pm and you are this close to hitting the wall. Who needs caffeine when you can get "Fired Up?" This feel-good jam will have you shimmying and swaying for the next three minutes.

"'Fired Up' is such a party," says Higgenson. "Somehow, it's energetic and lazy, amped up and chill, all at the same time. I think it might be the best song on the album. It's all about looking around and seizing the day. A total feel good song, but in an odd, quirky way. I don't think it's possible to listen to it without smiling."

Hollow Front Share "Will I Run?" Video

Grand Rapids, Michigan-based metalcore slingers HOLLOW FRONT recently announced their third album The Fear of Letting Go. It arrives October 27 via UNFD. Pre-order it here.

Today, they have shared the video for "Will I Run?" Watch it
below.

"'Will I Run?' is a song about the struggle of fighting your inner demons, who tell you're not good enough, and resisting the urge to turn around and run away from your problems when things get hard," says singer Tyler Tate.
"[Guitarist] Lee [Albrecht] actually wrote a majority of the lyrics on this song. He struggled with depression and self-doubt when his daughter was being born. Wondering whether or not he was going to be a good dad or if he was going to fail, so that's where he was coming from with the lyrics. And I think this is a very relatable feeling. When I first became a dad, things were terrifying. I didn't know anything and that made it even scarier."

He continues, "I think this song can be interpreted many ways. 'Running Away' from our last album had a similar message. You can't always run away from your problems, regardless of how badly you want to. This was also the first song we've written where a majority of my parts are singing, instead of screaming. That's definitely a change for us, but we want to be able to write whatever song we want, and losing Dakota left that box unchecked, so we decided to experiment with my voice. I think the results were better than we expected and the fans of our more intimate and emotional songs will really enjoy this track."

This Grand Rapids, MI duo — Tate and Lee Albrecht [guitar ] — emerged from a season of seemingly endless trials and tribulations. Instead of backing down, they transform the chaos around them into unpredictable and undeniable anthems.

"The album is a journey out of feeling helpless in a situation I don't have control over," notes Tyler. "I've realized the only thing I have control over is the choice to move on and keep going. That's all I'm doing. I'm not ready to give up yet."

There's no reason to…

Hollow Front have consistently captivated audiences by tempering unfettered heaviness with undeniable melodies. The band emerged as a fan favorite with Loose Threads in 2020. After the album tallied 1 million streams during release-week, "Afflicted" eventually racked up over 7.2 million Spotify streams and counting. The 2022 follow-up, The Price of Dreaming, earned widespread critical acclaim. New Noise Magazine hailed it as "a blistering and bruising experience, evoking myriad emotions and conveying a heady and moving blend of euphoria and despair." Distorted Sound dubbed it "metalcore at its most earnest." Along the way, they shared stages with everyone from Fit For a King and We Came As Romans to Dayseeker and August Burns Red.

At the same time, the guys weathered one storm after another. A van accident, subsequent financial strife, and lineup shifts left Hollow Front a two-piece by the end of 2022. So, the pair hunkered down and wrote, mixed, and mastered what would become The Fear of Letting Go in its entirety with Lee producing and recording out of his home studio. For the first time, Tyler also assumed both heavy and clean vocal duties.

Dead Poet Society Announce New Album "FISSION" + Share "I hope you hate me." / "How Could I Love You?

Los Angeles quartet DEAD POET SOCIETY are pleased to announce their second album FISSION. It arrives on January 26 via Spinefarm. Pre-order it here.

After a decade defining, redefining, and perfecting their art, Fission finds Dead Poet Society poised to be rock's next breakout act. The album is a 13-track study of personal change and the turbulence of growth that, as frontman Jack Underkofler attests, takes "a microscopic and broad look at the events that changed who we are."

Today, the band has dropped two singles — "
I hope you hate me." and "How Could I Love You?"

Both songs address the sometimes bittersweet, more often simply bitter, fallout from a tumultuous relationship. The latter is an excruciating yet intoxicating journey, backed by searing guitars, while the former addresses the aftermath of a relationship.

The video for "I hope you hate me" features dancer and breakout social media star
This Robot Cannot Human, whose carefully choreographed moves perfectly reflect the song's tension and slow, calculated build up. The track effortlessly mixes a subtle take on '80s nu wave with alt rock fury, thanks to pulsating riffs and drumbeats that echo your own heartbeat.

Ultimately, Underkofler says the band has one mission for fans and listeners of the new album: "We want to leave them with the truth."

Further elaborating on the concept, he says, "It's not as simple as saying we want our music to leave people with a positive outlook. You want music to speak to wherever you find yourself. We want to leave people feeling that whatever they are experiencing is valid, no matter what place they are at in their lives."

To that end, there are deep rakings over the coals of relationship breakdowns, examinations of addiction in all its guises, ruminations on the responsibilities and challenges of adulthood, and struggles with the evolution, loss and continual search for self. "In a lot of ways this album is about unpacking those emotional pains that come with being an adult," Underkofler says. "The past few years have left me in a constant state of growth through the life events of which I've had little control, or which didn’t pan out the way I wanted them to. There's a 'before' you, and an 'after' you, and there's no going back. Life tends to force your hand, and it's futile to fight it. You have to accept that things that happen to you will change you, and let them build you into the next phase of who you are. There is a constant battle to not mourn who I was, because the things you go through define you as a person and turn you into a person worth being. But that can be difficult to wrestle with. There is a positive to it, but it is birthed through a lot of pain."

While the lyrics are fully relatable, the music is a DNA-distinct blend of anthemic alternative, dark and moody hard rock, and progressive indie. FISSION is truly unlike anything you've heard in recent times.

Dead Poet Society released two songs last month — they shared
the new double single "Running in Circles" and "Hurt." Watch the videos here

Dead Poet Society accumulated over 72 million global streams, with nearly 32 million streams in the U.S. alone. The band also enjoyed two Top 15 singles at radio and key playlisting. They have also spent as much time as possible on the road — having toured with alt rock powerhouses Badflower, Biffy Clyro, Highly Suspect, and BRKN Love. The band has ultimately established itself as an intense live act not to be missed!

DIMMU BORGIR - ANNOUNCE COVER ALBUM INSPIRATIO PROFANUS

After their last two successful albums Abrahadabra and Eonian, DIMMU BORGIR herald their 30-year legacy by releasing, together for the first time, a collection of their cover songs. The album Inspiratio Profanus is being announced with the release of the thunderous first single, 'Black Metal' by the extreme metal pioneers VENOM. The album Inspiratio Profanus will be released on December 8th via Nuclear Blast Records.

Silenoz comments about the album Inspiratio Profanus: "
We’re pleased to announce the Inspiratio Profanus release! We thought it was about time to finally compile the cover songs we’ve done over the years and give these renditions an updated mastering, all in one package, highlighting some of our many influences!"

Silenoz states about the first song 'Black Metal': "Black Metal, the track, and its origin, features something really primeval, raw and unhinged. There is lawlessness and danger connected to it. We did our best to capture the spirit of the ancient gods’ rock ’n roll 24 years later. Did we do it justice? I think so."

After their last two successful albums Abrahadabra and Eonian and the remixed version of Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia, DIMMU BORGIR herald their 30-year legacy by releasing, together for the first time, a collection of their cover songs. Inspiratio Profanusfeatures a cover of 'Black Metal' (VENOM), the genre-defining 'Perfect Strangers' (DEEP PURPLE), fan favourite 'Burn In Hell' (TWISTED SISTER), and electrifying renditions from the legendary CELTIC FROST, as well as other immensely influential artists!

+ New Date

Bad Omens slither through boundaries, only to ultimately choke convention in the process. The quartet—Noah Sebastian (vocals), Joakim “Jolly” Karlsson (guitar), Nick Ruffilo (bass), and Nick Folio (drums)—materialize with ghostly atmospherics, striking hooks, and the tingles of sensual high-register harmonies uplifted by cinematic production. Racking up over 250M worldwide streams to date and earning acclaim, the band presents an uncompromising and undeniable vision on their third full-length album, 'THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND' (Sumerian Records).

“Making the record changed us as songwriters and musicians. In many ways, I feel like it set me free as an artist because every decision made in the writing process was for myself, with no fear for anyone else’s expectations of what our third album should sound like. Be it our fans or our record label.”

They’ve always wielded this level of magic though…

The group’s 2016 self-titled debut, 'Bad Omens', yielded fan favorites such as “Glass Houses” and “The Worst In Me” which eclipsed 46 million Spotify streams. On its heels, 2019’s 'Finding God Before God Finds Me' spawned “Dethrone” (36 million Spotify streams) and “Careful What You Wish For”. Along the way, they toured with numerous marquee acts and received tastemaker praise.

After their first headline tour was canceled mid-way at the top of the global pandemic, the band found themselves at home in Los Angeles with plenty of time. Where they absorbed and imparted a different palette of unexpected inspirations. Channeling what the frontman describes at times as a “cursive sound” they embraced newfound confidence and boundlessly loose creativity. Anything went in the studio, and all “rules” were broken. Noah and Jolly wrote, produced, and engineered the music themselves while GRAMMY® Award-nominated producer and songwriter Zakk Cervini (Halsey, Grimes, Poppy, blink-182) lent his talents with the mix and master. Challenging himself, Noah decided to “make a track sampling items around the house, none of which were musical instruments”.

This ultimately became the framework for the first single “THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND”. Claps puncture the icy soundscape as his voice stretches from a breathy moan into an evocative and entrancing hook, breaking from a whisper into the seductive chant, “It wasn’t hard to realize. Love’s the death of peace of mind.” It culminates on a climactic scream uplifted by a distorted crunch.

“The whole record really details the loss of peace of mind,” he explains. “The lyrics in the title track are a little more specific in terms of the conflict at the heart of something more intimate and personal.”

By speaking it aloud, Bad Omens offer a level of comfort and empathy, with a sinister shroud. At the same time, they also give rock music a sexy new shape on 'THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND'.

“Sonically, we want to do something you can’t arrive late or early too,” he leaves off. “You can’t cheat your way to the final act. You have to get on the ride and process it until the end. The songs are meant to be heard from start to finish. We want you to take the whole trip with us.”

William Michael Morgan Releases Official Music Video for "In Walked You"

Country music neo-traditionalist William Michael Morgan, described by Music Row’s Robert K. Oermann as “stellar” and “a leading artist of this style,” has released a new video in support of his current single, “In Walked You” via ONErpm Nashville.

Directed and produced by Sean McGee (Sarah Darling, Sam Outlaw), the video for “In Walked You” was shot by Thomas Chi on location at Cahootz Honkey Tonk in Lebanon, Tenn. A classic boy meets girl story, McGee brought in professional Latin dancers for their take on a spicy Western Swing and even let Morgan take a turn as bartender, with humorous results.

In walked you on a Saturday night
Neon blue lightin’ up your eyes
And the only open seat in the place was next to mine
I’d have bet I was never gonna bet on love again
       Then in walked you

“It’s always fun building a song in the studio and playing it live,” Morgan says, “but I feel like it really comes alive in a music video, especially with a song like ‘In Walked You.’ From our director to our actors, label and songwriters, we feel like we truly captured the magic.”

"This music video was really fun and special to be part of,” agrees Kylie Dembek, project manager for ONErpm Nashville. “We kept it simple: tell the story the song told. The actors and William did a great job bringing it to life, just as we envisioned it.”

For more information, check out Morgan’s socials at @
WMMorganMusic on Instagram, @WilliamMichaelMorgan on Facebook and @WMMorgan on Twitter. He is managed by Joe Carter and Mike Taliaferro of Carter and Company; booking is handled by The Kinkead Entertainment Agency.
