Parmalee Notches Fourth No. 1 Single with "Girl In Mine"

Parmalee continues their streak of consecutive #1 singles with “Girl In Mine,” which topped the Country Aircheck/Mediabase radio chart this week. With four total and three consecutive in as many years, Parmalee has more #1 singles than any other group in country music in that timeframe.

“It’s a beautiful thing when fans start to really connect with a song and you feel the energy every night when they’re singing it back to you,” said lead singer Matt Thomas. “Every #1 is special but this one is for the fans.”

ATTILA Unleash Cathartic New Single, "FU4EVR"

Atlanta's most notorious purveyors of party metalcore, ATTILA, have dropped epic new radio-ready ballad, "FU4EVR" today. Much like previously released single, "Bite Your Tongue", the new track features mostly clean vocals from frontman Chris 'Fronz' Fronzak, further shepherding in the new, more versatile era of the band.

Speaking on the release of their new track, ATTILA shares

"FU4EVR is about standing up for yourself and not being afraid to cut ties with people who are bringing you down. Some people are like parasites and they will do anything in their power to try to remain in your life. At the end of the day you have to do what's best for your own mental health and not be afraid to say "fuck you forever" and cut out the dead weight."

Today's new drop follows previous singles,“Mia Goth” and “Bite Your Tongue”, which came out in April and shocked ATTILA fans around the world with the addition of clean vocals from Fronz for the first time ever on one of the band's tracks. Combined, the two previous singles have racked up nearly 4 million streams on Spotify alone and 390,000 YoutTube views.

These new tracks showcase a new direction for ATTILA, maintaining the band’s signature blend of metalcore, nu metal and deathcore whilst also adding new layers of melodic finesse and instrumental technicality. Proving that even after 15 years, they are still one of the most innovative and prolific forces in the genre.

ATTILA are currently bringing the ruckus to cities across the US, celebrating the 10th Anniversary of their seminal album, 'About That Life' by performing the album in full. The band are joined by Gideon, Ten56 and Until I Wake. Tickets for the remaining dates are available here.

End-Time Illusion Drop their Long Awaited New Album 'Anamnesis Genesis' via Combat Records/Mindsnap Music; Release Lyric Video for Single "Lure of the Abyss"

New England's enduring tech metal pioneers, End-Time Illusion, proudly unveil their highly anticipated 4th full-length album, Anamnesis Genesis, today, September 29, 2023. This monumental release is now available worldwide in both digital formats and hard copy media, thanks to the collaboration between Combat Records and Mindsnap Music.

To celebrate, the band has unveiled an enthralling lyric video for the album's opening track, "Lure of the Abyss," created by the talented team at Black Sheep Media. You can experience the mesmerizing visuals and thought-provoking lyrics below.

As a teaser for the album, a play through video for "Codex Gigas" (Designed by Melody) was previously released.

The album showcases 8 intricate compositions written by founding member guitarist Dave Sharpe (Dead by Wednesday, Ellefson US backing band) and singer Adam Sloan. To strengthen the rhythm section the band recruited NYC session drummer Alex Cohen (Malignancy, Pyrexia) with Sharpe handling bass duties and Sharpe and Sloan on keys. The tracks weave through the catchy and hook laden riffage the group is known for while also incorporating some Black Metal, Goth, and experimental elements to round out a mature Death Metal and Thrash musical evolution. Like E-TI’s predecessor Deities at War (2015), the tracking was completed at Sonic Environments studio with engineer Jeff Weed who recently remixed and remastered the album.

In support of the release the band plans to play select shows including an upcoming album release party in their home state of CT. TBA soon!

Trevor Rabin pays tribute with emotionally powerful new single ‘Oklahoma’

Trevor Rabin, the South African guitarist, singer, multi-musician, writer and producer, recently announced ‘Rio’, his first solo album of vocal material in 34 years, set for release in just a week’s time on October 6, 2023 worldwide.

Today he is pleased to launch the third track taken from the album, the emotionally powerful ‘Oklahoma’. As Trevor describes:
“In 1995 I wrote the germ of a lyric inspired by the devastating bombing in Oklahoma.  It traumatized the entire nation and will always be a dark day for the country.  Thirty plus years later I believed the time was right and ok to tackle the song I had written.  It’s dedicated to family and friends who lost loved ones.”

Watch the video, created by Christian Rios, below.

‘Rio’ will be available as a Ltd CD+Blu-ray Mediabook & Ltd Deluxe Gatefold Red 180g 2LP + Blu-ray (including 8-page LP-booklet and obi strip), both featuring bonus material, 5.1 surround sound & liner notes. Also available as Standard CD Jewelcase, Gatefold 180g 2LP+LP-booklet (with etching on side D), and as Digital Album.  The cover for the album was created by Trevor himself: “I dabble with digital art so I sent some images of mine to the label and was pleasantly surprised when they liked them.”.

The Ltd CD+Blu-ray Mediabook & Ltd Deluxe Gatefold Red 180g 2LP + Blu-ray also features the following bonus tracks:
1. Spek & Polly
2. Fragile (Demo)
3. Georgia

Given that his previous vocal-led solo album, ‘Can’t Look Away’, was released in 1989 (2012’s ‘Jacaranda’ was all-instrumental), Rabin has kept us waiting for more than three decades for a follow-up. Trevor admits that there was pressure from all sides, including his own family, to have speeded up the process.  However, the delay is excusable. Since leaving Yes following the ‘Talk’ album in 1994 and largely as a prequel to touring as part of ARW in 2016, the guitarist entered the time-consuming world of movie soundtracks. Not just any old movies, either. Trevor’s name appears as composer for such blockbusters as Con Air, Armageddon, Remember the Titans, Enemy Of The State, Deep Blue Sea, Glory Road, and Gone In 60 Seconds and both National Treasure movies, amongst many others. “Over the past ten years I was having ideas, concepts that I couldn’t implement due to my busy schedule,” he explains, adding: “To be honest, those years flew by in a flurry. I knew that this was the time, and once I found my momentum I worked on the album 24/7.”  The process proved a labour of love and as with his first and second solo records, ‘Trevor Rabin’ and ‘Face To Face’ (from 1977 and ’79 respectively), Rabin handled just about all of the instruments himself.

Stylistically, ‘Rio’– is tough to categorize. Besides guitar-driven rock-meets-pop, ‘Goodbye’ is Country & Western with an edgy drive, while ‘Tumbleweed’ begins in a burst of harmonies. No wonder its working title was ‘The Demographic Nightmare’.

“I wanted to get into many different areas,” Rabin states. “Of course there are ‘prog things’, but overall there are a lot of styles going on.”  As mentioned, Trevor plays the majority of the instruments on the record. However, on drums for a number of tracks is Lou Molino, while Trevor also contributes some drums and percussion. Vinnie Colaiuta provides drums on ‘Push’, and Rabin’s son Ryan Rabin helped out with some of the most important percussive arrangements. Along the way Trevor also drafted in a couple of friends, Dante Marchi and Liz Constantine, to sing back up on two songs, as well as Charlie Bisharat on violin.

DUSTIN LYNCH STANDS TALL IN KILLED THE COWBOY

In a candid display of vulnerability, MULTI-PLATINUM star Dustin Lynch is boldly opening up like never before amid an internal struggle. At 38 and single, he’s admittedly at a crossroads: Does he settle down, start a family, and lean into domesticity, or continue to carve out a life of extraordinary experiences that most people only dream of? Releasing his statement-making sixth studio album, Killed The Cowboy (Broken Bow Records), today (9/29), the charismatic man in the Resistol hat bravely tries to figure that out. Available everywhere, listen here.

It's a stunningly self-aware series of questions not only for Lynch to ponder, but for single and newly single people everywhere. Through his 12-track journey – with five to his songwriting credit – on Killed The Cowboy, they’ll realize they’re not alone, thanks to highlights such as the brooding title track, introspective “If I Stop Drinkin’,” the shadowy ballad “Blue Lights,” and yearning come-on of “Lone Star.” But they’ll also find a friend at the party via his raise-‘em-up anthems like “George Strait Jr.” and nostalgic dirt road rocker “Chevrolet” (featuring his BBR Music Group labelmate Jelly Roll), to “Honky Tonk Heartbreaker.” Written by Lynch, Hunter Phelps, Zach Crowell, and Ben Johnson, it’s the soundtrack to the best night of your life. With a slippery ‘90s guitar lick, lyrics about tequila shots and surprise phone calls, plus an easygoing vocal from Lynch, the Zach Crowell and Ben Johnson co-produced “Honky Tonk Heartbreaker” explodes out of the speakers and carries fans right into the club. It’s the very definition of a banger and a contender for the ultimate party anthem, with all of it framed through the late-night experiences of Lynch – who not only co-wrote the song, but lived it.
Listen to “Honky Tonk Heartbreaker” and watch the lyric video.

“When we wrote ‘Honky Tonk Heartbreaker,’ we thought about what could be celebrated by people in Nashville’s Broadway honky-tonk scene, or in any bar scene. It’s a message to those who are single and ready to mingle, who embrace the excitement of getting dressed up to go out and give off a vibe,” Lynch adds. “But even those who have found their person will still enjoy the song, because at some point they've been out on the prowl, enjoying the nightlife.”

Presenting on NBC's inaugural 2023 People's Choice Country Awards live from the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN, last night (9/28), Lynch is in the middle of a high-profile media blitz with features in Associated Press, Fox News, PEOPLE, American Songwriter, CMT, The Tennessean, and more, in addition to broadcast segments on Entertainment Tonight and Access Daily with Mario & Kit. He's also been named one of Nashville Lifestyles’ Most Beautiful People in their annual issue on stands now.

As the much-anticipated follow-up to Blue In The Sky, Lynch’s 2022 release delivered the history-making “Thinking ‘Bout You (feat. MacKenzie Porter),” which became the #1 song on the Mediabase 2022 Year-End Chart Country and #2 on the Billboard 2022 Year-End Country Airplay Songs chart. The PLATINUM, six-week #1 collaboration remains the longest-running Top 10 single in Billboard Country Airplay chart history at 28 weeks and Broken Bow Records’ longest-reigning single at Country radio. The acclaimed album also included hit “Party Mode” and
Lynch’s latest chart-rising single “Stars Like Confetti,” that’s nearing Top 5.

Launching his
KILLED THE COWBOY TOUR beginning April 2, 2024, at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Lynch is making major city appearances in Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, MN, and Boston, MA, among others, across the 18-date run next spring. With special guest Skeez, he’ll top off the trek on May 11 at Harrah's Stir Concert Cove in Council Bluffs, IA. Find tickets and a full list of tour dates here.

ELVIE SHANE RELEASES DEEPLY PERSONAL SONG “PILL,” A MESSAGE TO THOSE STRUGGLING WITH ADDICTION, OUT NOW

No stranger to creating work that “exposes the heart-aching realities of the working class” (Billboard), BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records singer/songwriter Elvie Shane continues to shed light on the struggles of his community and many others with new track “Pill,” available to listen below. Draped in harrowing lyricism, written by Shane, Lee Starr, and Nick Columbia and produced by Oscar Charles, “Pill” delivers a love letter to those struggling with addiction that perfectly illustrates what it means to be affected by its all-encompassing path of destruction.

“Pill is my story, told from the perspective of a note to me from my little brother in my most trying times. It’s an apology to those I love for the turmoil I put them through,” Shane said. “But for me this goes way beyond just what my family and I have gone through. I want to be a vessel and share other people’s struggles and experiences, even if it helps one person, that means I did my job.”

Along with the track, Shane released a visualizer for “Pill,” welcoming those at any stage of recovery with the porch light on and the front door unlocked, reminding them it’s never too late to come back home.

Recently wrapping a busy summer on the road, Shane is set to perform in Lexington, KY tonight (9/29), and Mount Airy, NC tomorrow (9/30), along with a slot at Riverfront Revival next weekend in North Charleston, NC (10/7). He next hits the road for a supporting stint with Kameron Marlowe this fall beginning in Los Angeles, CA (10/26). Tickets and more information available HERE.

About Elvie Shane

As a native of small-town Kentucky whose influences range from Dwight Yoakam and Steve Earle to classic rock, Gospel, R&B and hip hop, Wheelhouse Records’ Elvie Shane has emerged as a country star with his heart on his sleeve – and as a champion of those with their name on a patch. Breaking out with the Platinum certified Number One single, “My Boy,” the singer/songwriter first took a stand for family values that go far beyond bloodlines, setting himself apart with a deeply felt 2020 tribute to step-parents and their unconditional love. Hailed by critics from Billboard and Rolling Stone to the Nashville Scene and beyond, the track helped launch Shane’s album BACKSLIDER onto multiple Best Of lists, winning over fans with its gritty yet gracious fusion of heartland rock, modern country and stand-for-something purpose. With over 372 million career streams and counting, that fusion often presents itself onstage as a mix of rebellious energy, indelible imagery and working-class pride, and it has made Shane a favorite all across the globe. Pairing his headlining MY KINDA TROUBLE TOUR in 2021 with high-profile opening slots for Darius Rucker, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Brothers Osborne, Brooks & Dunn and Lady A, among others, plus country’s biggest festivals and a 2023 tour across the heart of Europe, he capped it all with a nomination for Best New Country Artist at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards, and is now laying the groundwork for a new chapter. Following inclusion on the star studded Stoned Cold Country tribute to The Rolling Stones 60th anniversary (submitting a special version of “Sympathy for the Devil”), Shane's new tracks include "Pill," “Jonesin’,” “Baptized” and “Forgotten Man” out now. Rolling Stone praises “Forgotten Man” as it “expertly sums up what it means to be blue-collar in the 21st century in this defiant, angry country single that would do Merle Haggard proud." An anthem for those chasing the American dream with calloused hands and a weary, but still-believing heart, it’s another example of Shane’s deep-feeling take on country, as a new blue-collar generation arrives. “Like many artists, I’m prone to overthinking,” shares Kinsey. “However, this writing and recording style allowed us to capture the tracks in their most authentic form, which is what makes them so different from other projects.

“I also wanted to include the date along with the song titles to create a timestamp of what was going on in my life at that time. I think it really gives listeners an opportunity to have a fuller picture of what my mindset was like going into each of these writes,” she explains.

This was fan voted. This is for the fans. It’s always for the fans. The underdogs are back on top! Every single time I get to stand on this stage, I feel overwhelmed. I feel honored and humbled. I feel like I’ve got some very big shoes to fill. This year we have played every kind of show you can imagine. We have played clubs. We have played stadiums with Mr. Luke Combs. You name it; we have played it. Every single night, I look out there and I see a lot of y’all wearing your bell bottoms and hats. Thank y’all so much for letting me express myself through my music and the way that I dress. I love seeing y’all do the same exact thing. Y’all keep showing up and I’ll keep showing up, too. God bless y’all.”

WYNONNA JUDD AND TRISHA YEARWOOD RELEASE REINVENTED VERSION OF “CRY MYSELF TO SLEEP” AHEAD OF A TRIBUTE TO THE JUDDS RELEASE

Today, Grammy-award-winning artists Wynonna Judd and Trisha Yearwood released their reimagined version of The Judds’ iconic song “Cry Myself To Sleep.” Written by Paul Kennerley, the track serves as the second single off A Tribute To The Judds, the highly anticipated compilation record in celebration of the beloved duo’s 40th anniversary, to be released on October 27 on BMG.

Originally released in 1986 as the fourth single off the best-selling album Rockin’ With The Rhythm, and reproduced by Cactus Moser, “Cry Myself To Sleep” serves as a soulful and powerful new take on the critically acclaimed track. Blending the elements of Funk, Rock, and Country into the song, these once in a generation dynamites infuse their own sound while remaining true to the original record. You can listen to “Cry Myself To Sleep”
HERE.

"I was absolutely delighted when Trisha showed up at the studio on the farm to record 'Cry Myself To Sleep' with me. We have known each other for years, but have never worked together. In today’s world of technology, artists often don’t get to be in the same room as the other person to record a song. It was so refreshing! I am thrilled with the song, and I cannot wait to sing it live with her," said Wynonna Judd.

“Getting to be a part of celebrating Judds music is such an honor. I’m a true fan, and singing with Wynonna has been a dream come true! I’m proud to be a part of honoring the music that Naomi and Wynonna created," said Trisha Yearwood.

A Tribute to The Judds
brings together the music industry’s biggest power players across genres, revering the original music of The Judds into a powerful homage of their discography.

About Wynonna Judd:
With the release of her 1992 self-titled solo debut, Wynonna emerged as a singular force in American music. Beyond the five Grammy Awards, the multi-platinum albums and sold-out tours, the country/soul vocalist built on the Appalachian traditionalism that defined The Judds to create a world where Top 5 dance/club hits were as possible as being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Having practically grown up as America’s favorite musical daughter, Wynonna matured into a woman who embraced how life is filled with peaks and valleys, great thrills, and heavy disappointment. Those realities informed her 5-times platinum Wynonna and nearing 3-times platinum Tell Me Why, the albums that gave voice to every human being emerging into their own adulthood with joy in their heart.

Beyond the groundbreaking music she and her mother created as The Judds, Wynonna has grown into her once-in-a-generation vocal prowess with an ease that made people clamor to her. “No One Else On Earth,” “Tell Me Why,” “She Is His Only Need,” “Girls With Guitars,” and “I Saw The Light” set the next chapter in motion of for the girl from Ashland, Kentucky who became a global superstar.

About Trisha Yearwood:
Following three decades in the spotlight, numerous GRAMMY®, CMA® and ACM® Awards, countless multiplatinum certifications, and millions of fans entertained, the same passion still motivates and moves Trisha Yearwood. The singer, actress, author, chef, personality, and entrepreneur derives deep fulfillment from simply walking up to a microphone and pouring her heart out by way of a celebrated powerhouse voice. In 2019, Trisha unveiled her highly anticipated first full-length country record in over a decade, Every Girl. Every Girl: Deluxe includes a new acoustic re-recording of her first album’s lead single “She’s In Love With The Boy.” Trisha made history when the original “She’s In Love With The Boy” vaulted to #1 and cemented her as the first female country artist to have a debut single reach the top of the country charts. She made history once again in 2021, when “She’s In Love With The Boy” was named “the MOST listened to country song by a Female Artist in the history of Billboard’s Country Airplay Charts.”  Trisha remains a timeless entertainer whose influence permeates multiple facets of culture. Beyond fifteen albums, she hosts the EMMY® Award-winning Food Network hit Trisha’s Southern Kitchen and her Facebook Live show, T’s Coffee Talk. At the forefront of a veritable lifestyle empire, she penned four New York Times-bestselling cookbooks and has designed cookware, furniture, home accessories, area rugs, and a pet line. For more information, please visit www.trishayearwood.com.

Sleep Theory Release "Paper Hearts" EP

"Sleep Theory follow in the path of bands like Sevendust in weaving soulful vocal melodies, groove-heavy guitar work and an infectious bounce as their stylistic signature." – Knotfest

"Sleep Theory adapt 2000s arena rock and nu-metal for the future with their anthemic metal-tinged sound that would please any fan of Linkin Park and their ilk. At once enthralling, emotional and disarming, Sleep Theory's supercharged single 'Numb' is everything a radio rock fan could want. You'll be humming it for days after." – Loudwire

Fresh off a captivating performance at Louisville's Louder Than Life Festivalthis past weekend, breakout four-piece Sleep Theory — vocalist Cullen Moore, guitarist Daniel Pruitt, bassist Paolo Vergara, and drummer Ben Pruitt — have released their Paper Hearts EP today, September 29, via the Epitaph Records. Get it
here.

The EP features two buzzy singles — "
Numb" and "Gone or Staying" — which have established Sleep Theory as one of the most exciting and talked about bands of 2023.

"As Sleep Theory, we've poured our hearts and souls into crafting our debut EP Paper Hearts and we're beyond thrilled to share this musical journey with the world," the band shares. "Each track is a piece of our collective soul, woven into melodies and lyrics that resonate with our experiences and emotions. Paper Hearts is not just music; it's our story, our passion, and our dreams set to sound."

Since bursting onto the scene earlier this year, Sleep Theory have gone from strength to strength. With press coverage from American Songwriter, Billboard, Celebrity Access, Knotfest, and Loudwire, as well as major nods from SiriusXM's Octane, Sleep Theory have had a huge 2023 and are gearing up for an even bigger 2024.

With Sleep Theory, the numbers don't lie.

Rather, the stats tell an impressive story that continues to grow and evolve as the band heads towards the stratosphere.

Sleep Theory's recent single "Numb" — watch the video
below— follows the band's debut single "Another Way," which arrived in January 2023 and amassed 500k views on TikTok within 36 hours of release. "Gone or Staying" arrived next, and all three songs combined have generated over 25 million streams, while "Numb" and "Another Way" both shot to No. 1 on SiriusXM's Octane Chart. The reaction was intense and swift, and as such, the band was also selected for SiriusXM/Pandora's Artist Accelerator Program and will be a part of their Next Wave Concert Series this fall. Additionally, "Numb" rose to No. 1 on on Octane's BigUns four (!!!) times.

This all happened in the span of the past nine months.

But what seemed like an overnight success (or an "industry plant" playing to the algorithm, as some trolls have incorrectly theorized) has actually been years in the making. And it's paying off.

Since retiring from the U.S. Army several years ago, Moore has dedicated his life to carving his own path in the music industry.

Officially starting Sleep Theory in 2019, the current incarnation of his musical journey began as a studio project to fuse his love of hard rock, funk, and R&B.

Now a four-piece band, which came to be on the back of a chance meeting via Facebook Marketplace, Sleep Theory have achieved a pair of No. 1 singles, played their first run of shows to massive crowds, and signed to Epitaph Records. Combining metalcore-like breakdowns with bluesy grooves and a pop sensibility made for modern radio, "Numb" has ascended to the No. 19 position on the Active Rock chart.

Sleep Theory wrapped summer touring runs with Set It Off and Shinedown, and also played shows with I Prevail, Badflower, and more.

Their 2024 touring plans are extensive and will be announced soon!

Gunship Release "Unicorn" + Share "Empress Of The Damned" Lyric Video

Synthwave pioneers Gunship — comprised of Dan Haigh, Alex Westaway, and Alex Gingell — today release their third studio album, Unicorn.

Stream the full record here

Gunship invite their listeners to celebrate the power of imagination on Unicorn. Named after the international icon of fantasy and imagination, it's emblazoned with the tagline "Imagination Is A Weapon." The trio's trademark, synth-laden atmosphere and transportative soundscapes have continued to evolve to include more rock, industrial, and EDM influences, allowing the listener to revel in an alternative reality on a 14-track electric thrill ride.

Unicorn boasts a diverse array of special guests, who each bring something different to the project. Collaborators include: John Carpenter, Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Carpenter Brut, Tim Cappello (Lost Boys, Tina Turner, Ringo Starr), Health, Tyler Bates (John Wick, Guardians of the Galaxy etc), Lights, Power Glove, Charlie Simpson, Britta Philips (Jem), Milkie Way (Wargasm), and Stella Le Page.

Embodying the saying "it's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness," Gunship seek to curse the darkness as well as to provide illumination with their darker and more positive material respectively, while consistently evolving the synthwave genre they helped to pioneer.

Gunship collaborated with renowned artist and director Maciej Kuciara (Blade Runner 2049, Terminator: Dark Fate, Avengers: Endgame & Infinity War, Ghost in the Shell, Guardians of the Galaxy) on the album's artwork, famous for his film concept art and collaborations with titans such as Ridley Scott. For Unicorn, Maciej created his cyberpunk interpretation of the classic icon of fantasy and imagination.

With the album's release comes new single "Empress of The Damned," featuring Canadian powerhouse Lights. Opening with a spooky John Carpenter-esque horror aura, the damnation quickly resolves into a pounding synthwave and EDM-fused tour de force. Returning collaborator Tim Cappello (The Lost Boys, Tina Turner) blasts blazing saxophone lines evoking some of the best '80s classics, while on vocals, fresh from recent collaborations with Deadmau5, i_o, Felix Cartel and Illenium, Lights delivers the powerful melodic hooks she is famous for. "Empress Of The Damned" boasts cultural and video game references abound, in hypnotic and bass heavy verses which give way to soaring choruses filled with Gunship’s signature 80s pop sensibility. It’s a fiery take on the classic 1980s duets of yesteryear.

The lyric video is live now, here

The record follows bass-driven, industrial-rock offering "DooM Dance," which blends EDM influences and the band's signature synth-heavy style to create a vivid sonic experience. On the track, rock icon and frontman of juggernaut rock act Bush — Gavin Rossdale — delivers searing vocals, while synthwave powerhouse Carpenter Brut serves up some devastating electronic riffs. "DooM Dance" is inspired by the frenetic "dance" gamers perform when vastly outnumbered and battling wave after wave of enemies in the now legendary video game DooM. Keep an eye out for the music video — coming soon!

Gunship make a name for themselves by linking their music and video releases with popular culture, whether that be film, like the Blade Runner x The Terminator dystopia in the new era’s first release, "Monster In Paradise" (Feat. Milkie Way, Dave Lombardo, Tim Cappello, Tyler Bates) or the gaming world, as with "DooM Dance" and previous album single "Taste Like Venom," which paid homage to Sega's classic arcade game Outrun.

Milkie Way (the fiery frontwoman of Wargasm), pays homage to the indomitable Sarah Connor from The Terminator films, on "Monster In Paradise," a key highlight. Driving Sarah's classic 1983 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade and providing a Terminator style voice over, Milkie initially appears to be giving a performance true to Sarah Connor’s character, although perhaps things are not quite as they seem… Are the machines recruiting humans with a mind-altering silver liquid? Watch the music video here

In an equally cyber-futuristic offering, "Ghost" (Feat. Power Glove), released later last year, asked artificial intelligence to show the world, "What happens after we die?" The cyberpunk tune was accompanied by an AI-generated video. Cutting edge and psychedelic, the video was created via various emerging artificial intelligence and machine learning tools, including OpenAI's DALL-E, the open-source Stable Diffusion as well as Midjourney.

Dive into the full, fantasy world of Unicorn now…

ABOUT GUNSHIP:
GUNSHIP are Dan Haigh, Alex Westaway, and Alex Gingell. The band’s sound is created with vintage analogue synthesizers and other retro electronic gear from the 1980s. Driven and inspired by nostalgia for a bygone era, Gunship harness this retro approach to birth something fresh and new. Their sound is sonically diverse — blending sweeping fluorescent synth lines with fever pitched and adrenalizing electric bass arpeggios. Dan Haigh from Gunship describes their sound as "a neon-soaked, late night, sonic getaway drive, dripping with luscious analogue synthesizers, cinematic vocals and cyberpunk values, exploding from the front cover of a dusty plastic VHS case which has lain forgotten since 1984." Gunship was formed in 2014 as a new musical venture for Westaway and Haigh, also members of post-hardcore band Fightstar with Charlie Simpson (Busted) and Omar Abidi, going on hiatus in 2010. Unicorn follows their critically acclaimed self-titled debut (Gunship, 2015), and 2018 follow-up Dark All Day.

JELUSICK, FRONTED BY POWERHOUSE VOCALIST DINO JELUSICK, DROPS DEBUT ALBUM FOLLOW THE BLIND MAN, THROUGH DEKO ENTERTAINMENT

The band “Jelusick” is formed around singer and keyboardist Dino Jelusick (Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Michael Romeo, Dirty Shirley). He is joined by bassist Luka Broderick who is, like Dino, an academically educated musician. Rounding out the quartet are guitarist Ivan Keller and drummer Mario Lepoglavec. Both actively tour with Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Journey). All of them are exceptionally talented musicians ready to show the world that rock is still alive! Their music is a combination of hard/heavy/prog with versatile elements from other genres. Jelusick is seen as the next rock sensation by fans and music colleagues alike!

Dino joined Whitesnake after receiving a personal phone call from David Coverdale and went out on the band's 2022 farewell tour as a multi-instrumentalist and backing vocalist for Coverdale. Upon returning, he immediately focused his attention on his own band, Jelusick. They released a bunch of lead-up singles like “Healer”, “”The Great Divide”, “Chaos Master” and “Fly High Again,” collectively racking up over 200,000 listens on Spotify. The “Fly High Again” video is approaching 300,000 views.

Watch video for “Fly High Again” below.

As Dino explains, "Follow the Blind Man is the debut album that has been waiting for a long time to finally come to life. It will give you many of the different songwriting and stylistic angles that we're capable of. From heavy, prog, bluesy to epic ballads and acoustic stuff.” Deko President, Bruce Pucciarello, celebrates Jelusick, “I love everything Dino does, but this is truly authentic. It is like everything else has led up to this band and this record. Holy shit, these guys can sing and play!”

Within Temptation Share New Track "Ritual" — LISTEN

BAND TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM BLEED OUT ON OCTOBER 20

Dutch metallers Within Temptation have released their brand-new single "Ritual" today. The song is the focus track of their upcoming eighth studio album Bleed Out, on October 20.

Reflecting the tumultuous state of the world, for their newest record the band have drawn inspiration from events such as the murder of Mahsa Amini in Iran and the war in Ukraine. But that isn't to say that there's no light to the heavy shade on Bleed Out.

Sharon den Adel explains that the song "is one of the kinkiest songs the band have ever written and is fully inspired by From Dusk Till Dawn." She is referring to the iconic movie by Quentin Tarantino about a seemingly normal road trip turning into a vampire slayer party. "It's a fun track about seduction," she explains. "It's about the lady taking power in a male dominated world and taking her own initiative."

Listen to "Ritual" below.

Bleed Out signifies a bold leap forward for the band. From contemporary, hard-hitting, and djenty riffs to soaring melodies displaying their symphonic roots, Within Temptation have created a sonic journey that fuses diverse musical styles and thought-provoking themes. This is an album that is as epic as it is unflinchingly outspoken, and now more than ever, this is a band who is unafraid to make a stand on issues it cares about. Within Temptation have delivered a fist-in-the-air proclamation of both their moral convictions and their fearless approach to music.

WITHIN TEMPTATION IS:
Sharon den Adel — Vocals
Mike Coolen — Drums
Stefan Helleblad — Guitars
Ruud Jolie — Guitars
Martijn Spierenburg — Keyboards
Jeroen van Veen — Bass Guitars
Robert Westerholt — Guitars

Blake Shelton Rocks Ole Red Orlando

Blake Shelton returned to Ole Red Orlando to perform in front of a packed house last night. The boss man’s one-hour set included hits like “God’s Country” and “Happy Anywhere,” ending with fan favorite, “Boys ‘Round Here.”

On stage, Shelton remarked, “We wanted to come here and have fun with you guys and say thank you for supporting Ole Red Orlando. This is such a fun place!”

NBC’S “The Voice” season 22 winner, Bryce Leatherwood, opened the evening. Leatherwood started the night off with country classics like “The Fireman” by George Straight and “Whenever You Come Around” by Vince Gill. Leatherwood also performed unreleased original songs “Made Me, Me” and “The Finger” to the pumped-up crowd. The “Team Blake” alum has been a regular guest at Shelton’s Ole Red venues, recently selling out his four-show residency at Ole Red Tishomingo in Oklahoma as well as his shows at Ole Red Gatlinburg and Ole Red Orlando.

The official Blake Shelton Icon Park Pre-Party, held in partnership with local country radio station K92.3, surprised a handful of ultimate Blake Shelton fans with last minute tickets to the show. The station began a live broadcast from Ole Red Orlando at 4:00 p.m. while other vendors on-site also hosted giveaways and free samples to fans.

Shelton’s Ole Red Orlando performance followed the Opry member’s honor of presenting Toby Keith with the “Country Icon” award at the first-ever People’s Country Choice Awards live from the Grand Ole Opry House. During the show, Shelton also received the award for “The Social Country Star of 2023.” Earlier this week, Shelton and Carson Daly celebrated the announcement of the return of their beloved game show, “Barmageddon,” where celebrity friends compete in the ultimate bar game show down set at Shelton’s Ole Red Nashville.

Metalcore Band Darkest Hour Reissues Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora

Washington, D.C. metalcore band Darkest Hour announces the reissue of their acclaimed album, Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora. The title has been out of print on vinyl, and is now available HERE in three different vinyl variants: Copper Nugget, Clear with Ruby, Cobalt & Hot Pink Splatter Sweetart Mix.  The band recently signed with MNRK Heavy for their next studio album, due out in early 2024.

Darkest Hour launched a crowdfunding campaign to make 2017's Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora.  Surpassing their goals, they enlisted producer Kurt Ballou (Converge, High On Fire, Code Orange, Kvelertak) and made their heaviest record to date.  The album charted at #42 on the Billboard 200 and received rave reviews. Metal Injection gave the album 9.5/10, writing, "This album is full of death metal riffs, savage hardcore pummeling in drums, and melodic beauty, making for a terrific heavy record...their best work."

Vocalist John Henry says, "The Godless Prophets reissue is finally here, and we couldn’t be more proud of how well this album has aged. Years later, the passion and fury we put into this record still shine. Excited to be able to share this timeless album with new listeners and a new perspective.

Guitarist Mike Schleibaum adds, "These new vinyl variants look badass.  We are so impressed with how well they came out; they really do these songs and album justice. Godless Prophets & The Migrant Flora will always hold a special place in our catalog and our hearts, and this reissue will surely give new breath to this release for years to come."

Randy Houser Releases New Single "Cancel"

Billboard lauded “golden-voiced Mississippi native” Randy Houser reflects on the state of the world today and encourages forgiveness in his new song “Cancel,” available now via Magnolia Music Group. Written solely by Houser and co-produced with Jay Tooke, listen to the song below.

“You’ll have a certain amount of people that won’t even look at it because of the title,” Houser shared with
Rolling Stone of the “moody, bluesy” song. “It’s OK to call things out. But that doesn’t mean all-out war with each other over something that you disagree with. We’re tearing our country apart by doing that. I believe in what the Bible says about forgiveness, that we’re commanded to forgive. Just treat people fairly and if you see someone needs a friend, be one.”

Resonating with his audiences during live performances throughout his relentless touring schedule, fans have urged Houser to release the track that showcases his dynamic vocals as he shares his point of view.

“I’m not here to judge anyone else’s lifestyle or their personal choice,” he explained to
Rolling Stone. “I don’t deal with the same decisions that other people have had to make in their lives. We all know that there’s people who are born a certain way. It’s not anyone else’s job to judge. It’s just like, be cool to people. Be a human.”

Houser will perform at the Ronnie Milsap Tribute Show at Bridgestone Arena on Oct. 3 with Kelly Clarkson, Little Big Town, Justin Moore, Scotty McCreery and more before resuming his busy touring schedule next Friday, Oct. 6 at Country Thunder in Bristol, TN, with additional tour dates through the end of the year.

He topped the charts with the title track, “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight” and “Goodnight Kiss” (also his first No. 1 as a songwriter) and earned critical acclaim for his powerful delivery of the Top 5 smash and CMA Song of the Year-nominated “Like A Cowboy.” Houser added a fourth No. 1 to his catalogue with “We Went” from his 2016 album, Fired Up.
